 It has been the 248th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6pm: 

The enemy is attempting to hold the positions in the temporarily occupied territories, focus its efforts on restraining the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in some directions, and continue offensive operations towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka. 

The enemy fires at Ukrainian defenders along the entire contact line and conducts aerial reconnaissance. By violating the norms of the International humanitarian law, laws and customs of war, the enemy fires at civil infrastructure and civilian homes. 

The enemy launched 5 missile, 7 air strikes and made 29 multi-rocket launcher attacks.

Enemy strikes were carried out in the areas of more than 15 settlements, namely Sloviansk and Siversk of Donetsk oblast and Novooleksandrivka in Kherson oblast.

The situation did not significantly change towards Volyn and Polissia. The republic of belarus continues to support the russian armed aggression against Ukraine. The territory of Ukraine is under the threat of missile and UAVs attacks. 

The enemy fires towards:

Siversk from mortars, in the areas of Rozhkovychi and Budky, Sumy oblast;

Sloboda from mortars, barreled and rocket artillery, in the areas of Vovchansk, Veterinary, Vilkhovatka, Hatyshche, Hryhorivka, Dvorichna, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Strelecha and Chuhunivka;

Kupiansk and Lyman with artillery of various types, in the areas of Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Berestove, Nevske, Olhivka, Novoyehorivka and Yampolivka;

Bakhmut from tanks, mortars, barreled and rocket artillery, in the areas of Andriivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Bilohorivka, Zvanivka, Siversk, Soledar, Zarichne, Niu York, Vasiukivka and Serebrianka;

Avdiivka, the enemy inflicted fire damage on the areas of the settlements of Avdiivka, Nevelske, Vesele, Vodiane, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Pervomaiske and Opytne.

Towards Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, the occupiers did not conduct active offensive operations. Shelling from mortars, barreled and rocket artillery was recorded in the areas of Vuhledar, Velyka Novosilka, Vremivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Pavlivka, Olhivske and Chervone.

Towards the South Buh, Nikopol and Vyshchetarasivka of Dnipropetrovsk oblast were directly affected by the fire of rocket and barreled artillery.

Vehicles that were communally owned by the city of Kherson were moved by the invaders to the temporarily occupied Crimea. Information on the illegal export of medicines from most pharmacies in the city is confirmed. Since October 26 this year, the occupation authorities have suspended the medical staff of several city hospitals, from which the russian occupiers removed medical equipment.

Under the pretext of preparing for the defense of the city of Nova Kakhovka, the russian military is forcibly evacuating the local population from the streets located on the coast of the Dnieper River.

According to available information, illegal armed groups of the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk oblast have significant problems with monetary support. Militants do not receive assigned payments.

Aviation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine inflicted 17 strikes on the enemy. 11 of them – in the areas of buildups of weapons and military equipment, 3 – at platoon strongholds, and 3 – at the positions of enemy air defense systems. In various directions, Ukrainian air defense shot down the enemy’s Kh-59 aircraft guided missile and 2 Orlan-10 UAVs.

Units of the rocket forces and artillery have affected 4 buildups of weapons and military equipment, 2 ammunition depots, an anti-aircraft missile launcher and 6 other important military facilities of the occupiers.


Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak announced that there was another exchange of prisoners. 52 of our defenders were freed. Among them are 12 NSU fighters, including two Azov fighters, 18 from the Navy, 8 from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, 9 from the TrO, 3 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and 2 civilians. In general, since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than a thousand Ukrainians have been liberated. 

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said that russia withdrew from the grain agreement. “Now Moscow, under a contrived pretext, is blocking the grain corridor, which ensures the food security of millions of people. I call on all states to demand from the russian federation to stop the hunger games and return to their obligations,” he urged.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff, russian troops shelled settlements towards Kupiansk and Sloboda. The enemy targeted Dvorichna, Vovchansk and 11 other settlements.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Denys Monastyrskyi,  reported on October 29 that the bodies of 765 people killed during the war were found, 453 of them were identified.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that law enforcers inspected the medical college in liberated Vovchansk. Investigators found evidence of how the invaders tried to promote russian education in the region. Among the things found: an educational program according to the standards of russian federation, accounting information on salary payments to teaching staff in rubles, a list of personnel for obtaining russian SIM cards, diplomas of russian federation. This evidence will help to investigate Russian crimes.

Head of the Lozova community, Serhii Zelenskyi, said that in Fedorivka village an unknown object exploded in the yard of a house where a family with a child lived, a woman was killed

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that the enemy shelled the settlements of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Kupiansk regions. As a result of shelling, an outbuilding in Vovchansk and residential buildings in Dvorichna were damaged and fires broke out.

According to the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care, 2 women aged 43 and 40 and a 60-year-old man were injured in Kupiansk region.

Mine clearance continues on the territories liberated from the enemy. Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service defused 413 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that russians killed 3 civilians: 2 in Kurdiumivka and 1 in Pivnichne. Also 8 civilians were injured yesterday.

The invaders were most active towards Donetsk the previous night.

Avdiivka suffered numerous attacks on the old and central parts of the city. Information about the casualties and the extent of destruction is being clarified. In the Ocheretyne community, Nevelske, Pervomaiske and Vodiane were shelled – at least 2 buildings were damaged. The enemy also attacked the outskirts of Marinka community – without casualties.

Towards Lysychansk, Torske and Zarichne in the Lyman community were under massive shelling once again. The consequences of the shelling are being established.

Head of the Sloviansk City Military Administration, Vadym Liakh, reported that from November 2, residents of Donetsk oblast, who need resettlement, can evacuate to Ternopil oblast.

Mariupol Mayor, Vadym Boichenko, reported that USD 12.5-14.5 billion is the preliminary amount of damage caused by the invaders to the city.

Luhansk oblast

The enemy troops continue shelling the liberated settlements. On October 28, Bilohorivka, Nevske, Novoiehorivka and Stelmakhivka towards Kupiansk and Lyman were hit.

Aviation of the Defence Forces launched 24 strikes on buildups of weapons and military equipment, positions of air defense warfares.

In different directions, our air defense units shot down two Su-25 aircraft, one Mi-8 helicopter and one enemy UAV.

Rocket and artillery forces hit the positions of the battery of self-propelled artillery systems and other important military targets of the enemy.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that fire control over the Svatove – Kreminna highway, which was established by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is very important.  He noted that this is the main route used by the enemy’s equipment between these settlements. Moreover, from Svatove one could move to Starobilsk and Troitske, from Kreminna – to Rubizhne.

According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence, the Kedr group of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine liberated Nevske settlement on October 23 with the participation of the 5th unit of the 66th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In the course of a rapid offensive operation, Ukrainian defenders destroyed the superior forces of invaders. 34 enemy shooters and 3 machine gun crews were eliminated. The surviving invaders left armored vehicles and retreated from the village.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

A hotline has been set up in the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, allowing people to call for help in case of emergencies or incidents in the oblast, as well as for information about the structural units of the Regional Military Administration. Also, the headquarters for emergency response during the heating season was established, which operates around the clock.

Serhii Popkov, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, said that there are still risks of a repeated offensive on Kyiv, so efforts are being made to improve the defense of the capital. The air defense systems are being upgraded and the capital continues to prepare for any kind of threats, including massive missile attacks on energy infrastructure.

Head of the Kyiv RMA Oleksii Kuleba has announced that in order to save electricity, street lighting throughout Kyiv oblast will be temporarily turned off in the evenings and at nights. He urged people to follow road safety rules, and wear clothes of noticeable colors with reflective elements on them.

According to the mayor of the capital Vitalii Klytschko, power saving measures in Kyiv may affect the operation of some types of transport, namely trolleybuses and streetcars. However, the subway will continue to operate, as it is the key transport network of the city.

As reported by MinRegion, a modular town for 352 people was opened in Vasylkiv. This is the 12th temporary modular town, built in close cooperation with the Polish Government. The town will accommodate internally displaced persons and residents of an apartment building in Vasylkiv destroyed by the russian air strike.

The Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk has reported that a family of IDPs in Kyiv oblast has taken in 8-year-old Bohdan, whose parents were killed in Bakhmut a few days ago. The boy was evacuated from the shelling area by the military. Charity donors have also provided the boy with a computer so that he could continue studying at school online.

Law enforcement officers of the Boryspil region have improved their skills in combat first aid. According to the police of Kyiv oblast, the training was delivered by an instructor – a combat paramedic – in compliance with the international program Stop the Bleed.

A sports competition called Idea of the Nation was held in Kyiv Urban Park at the VDNH. The event was organized by the Families of Azovstal Defenders Association to support those heroes who are still in captivity. The funds raised are transferred in full to the Association’s Fund for the project “Finally you are home”.

Zhytomyr oblast

Vitalii Bunechko, Head of the regional military administration, informed that Zhytomyr oblast is prepared for possible invasion by the enemy. According to him, if the enemy crosses the territory of Ukraine from Zhytomyr oblast, they will face a real hell. Defense in the north of the oblast has been enhanced every day since the beginning of the full-scale war.

According to the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, during the war, the oblast has increased foreign trade operations with Slovakia. In particular, enterprises of the oblast carried out foreign trade operations with business entities of Slovakia in the amount of USD 33 million during 8 months of 2022. Among the promising areas of cooperation are interregional cooperation and involvement of the Slovak government in reconstruction of infrastructure destroyed as a result of russian aggression.

Weekly art meetings were launched in Zhytomyr, where stories of Ukrainian composers are told and Ukrainian classical music is performed. According to the author of the initiative Nadiya Tishkova, the purpose of these meetings is to get acquainted with the music of Ukrainian composers of different epochs, as well as to raise funds for the needs of the military.

Sumy oblast

According to Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, the russian army shelled three border communities in Sumy oblast, firing 40 mortar, artillery, and grenade launchers rounds.

The Esman community was shelled twice today – there were 6 explosions due to artillery shelling during the day and 17 late at night. One of the border villages in the Bilopillya region was hit by mortar fire – there were 15 mortar rounds, 9 shells from self-propelled artillery units, and about 10 rounds from a grenade launcher. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

According to Mayor Yuriy Zarko, on October 29, in the morning, the enemy started shelling the Bilopillia community again.

Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported that three defenders from Sumy oblast returned from captivity. Two young soldiers were in Azovstal, and one was taken prisoner during combat operations near Volnovakha. In total, 52 people were released during this exchange.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that EOD works were carried out in Sumy oblast in the morning. EOD specialists worked in Boholyubove village of the Trostyanets community and Dubynka village of the Duboviazivka community.

Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, Head of the Sumy RMA, reported that Yagmur Ahmet Guldere, Ambassador of Turkey in Ukraine, has delivered humanitarian aid from Baykar company to Sumy: a truck loaded with food and hygiene products. Today, more than 100 trucks of aid  have been delivered from Turkey to Ukraine.

The leadership of the Sumy Regional Military Administration met with Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Ukraine Radek Matula. Issues of reconstruction and development of Sumy oblast were discussed. Priority was given to the restoration of energy and social infrastructure facilities.

Major General Oleksandr Nesterenko, the commander of the “Sumy” Operational and Tactical Group, congratulated the winners and participants of the military combined arms competitions held in Sumy oblast.

Chernihiv oblast

The enemy has once again opened fire on the border areas of Chernihiv oblast: shots were heard almost all day long. Halyna Shekhovtsova, the spokeswoman of the Chernihiv border guard detachment, reported that Novhorod-Siversk, Horodnya, Snovsk, and Semenivka communities were under fire.

The Novhorod-Siverskyi community was shelled four times: in the morning, the enemy opened mortar fire from the territory of the russian village of Pohar, there were 3 explosions. Almost immediately after that, the enemy launched an artillery attack from the russian village of Sluchovsk resulting in 5 incoming shells. In the afternoon and evening, the enemy opened mortar fire from Pohar village again, there were 12 more explosions.

The Semenivka community was shelled twice a day with mortars, resulting in 14 incoming shells fired from the russian village of Kurkovichi. 7 mortar rounds were fired at the Horodnia community during the day, and there were seven explosions due to artillery shelling of Snovsk – both attacks were launched from the russian village of Chornozemny Horodok.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine stated that an enemy UAV used for reconnaissance was shot down in the Siversk sector. Using this UAV, the enemy was looking for approaches to the positions of the Ukrainian military.

Also, at nightfall, two enemy ground reconnaissance groups tried to approach the observation posts of Ukrainian border guards, but the SBGSU soldiers stopped them with concentrated fire.

German President Steinmeier shared his experience of staying in the bomb shelter in Koriukivka while addressing the nation. The German leader recounts the stories he heard from Ukrainians in the bomb shelter during the air raid in his speech translated by the “European Truth” publication. He proclaims the dawn of a new time and new relations with the world, and repeats the words of the Prime Minister of Estonia: “Gas may be expensive, but freedom is priceless”

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, reported that the Chernihiv Regional Hospital received medical equipment, medicines, and supplies worth about $350K from the Projectcure Charitable Foundation, USA. The Foundation has already sent 8 such containers to Ukraine, 2 of them – to Chernihiv oblast.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk says that the night was hectic because of shelling. One person was injured. At night, the enemy hit the Nikopol region. The invaders hit Nikopol, as a result of which a man born in 1983 was injured. He was hospitalized in a state of moderate severity.  A dozen residential buildings and outbuildings, a gas pipeline, and power grids were mutilated in the city. The shelling also affected industrial enterprises, tire fitting, a hotel, shops, and a gas station. At the gas station, one building was destroyed. Also, the occupying forces of the russian federation opened fire on Myrove and Marhanets communities.

Kirovohrad oblast

Head of Kirovohrad RMA Andrii Raikovych informs that at night, there arrived the 34th train, the last one within the framework of the mandatory evacuation of the population from the Donetsk oblast. Novoukrainka and Smolino sheltered 84 people, including 10 children. During the mandatory evacuation, the region has hosted almost 3900 internally displaced persons.

Head of the press service of the city council Serhii Yakunin says that in Kropyvnytskyi, they are preparing to rename 57 streets, the names of which are associated with the aggressor state, the communist totalitarian regime, imperial and Soviet ideologues.

Poltava oblast

Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration Dmitry Lunin reports that hospitals in Poltava oblast received equipment worth more than UAH 22 million. They purchased it thanks to the United24 fundraising platform. During the five months of the fundraising, more than UAH 5 billion was raised in support of Ukraine from 110 countries. 

Cherkasy oblast

At the initiative of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the support of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Ukraine they began to form Disaster Medicine teams in accordance with international standards. In particular, representatives of the Cherkasy EMS Center together with the State Enterprise “UNPC EMD and MK of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine” went to the Kochubeiev community in the Kherson oblast, where they consulted local citizens.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

65 times, 12 settlements of Zaporizhzhia oblast were shelled. As a result two people were wounded and 14 houses destroyed. This was reported by the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration.

According to the State Department of the National Police in Zaporizhzhia oblast, russian troops once again shelled the civilian infrastructure in Dorozhnianka, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Olhivske, Chervonye, Stepove, Novoandriiivka, Charivne, Poltavka, Novodanylivka, Malynivka with MLRS and heavy artillery. About 20 residential buildings and apartments were destroyed, and two civilians injured.

The administration also reported on the evacuation of the civilian population from the temporarily occupied territory. Although the pace of evacuation is slowing down due to enemy shelling, 223 people, including 35 children, were evacuated. Also, 1,109 people, including 266 children, were evacuated from the city of Zaporizhzhia to Lviv, Chop and Kovel.

The Zaporizhzhia RMA reports that the Security Service of Ukraine announced the suspicion of a resident of Mariupol, who voluntarily accepted the position of “head of the military-civilian administration” of the temporarily occupied city of Primorsk, Zaporizhzhia oblast. 

According to Mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, there is still no gas supply in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia oblast. Taking advantage of the situation, the occupiers have tripled the price of firewood and are cutting down forest plantations. 

According to the Center of National Resistance, the occupying “leadership” of the Zaporizhzhia NPP continues to put pressure on the plant’s employees to sign a contract with the russian company Rosatom. The russians are unable to restore the plant’s operation after creating a new company to manage the captured ZNPP. This is also not possible due to the fact that NPP employees refuse to sign contracts with Rosatom. Despite the pressure, the ZNPP staff monitors the condition of the power units and ensures their operation.

Mykolaiv oblast

44 civilian objects were damaged or destroyed in Mykolaiv oblast due to shelling by russian troops. There are 14 residential buildings, two gas supply facilities and 28 other civil structures among them.

The enemy shelled the settlement of the Halytsyniv community, and four people were wounded. The power line was damaged.

According to the military administrations and the South Operational Command, shelling of the settlements in the Bereznehuvate community located on the demarcation line continues. Information about victims and damage is still being clarified. The Shyroke community was also shelled, without casualties. 

The State Emergency Service reported that pyrotechnicians of Mykolaiv oblast are carrying out demining operations. Specialists worked in Mykolaiv and Bashtanka regions having examined 7.1 hectares of territory. A total of 18 munitions were found and destroyed by controlled detonation.

The city council reports that Mykolaiv has joined the international project for the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities led by the United Nations European Economic Commission (UNECE). The work is coordinated by the Italian design and architecture company One Works. Foreign and Mykolaiv experts collect and analyze current design documents and the economic potential of the city.

Also work on the analysis of 5 pilot projects for Mykolaiv has begun. The projects will be included in the General Plan. In order to ensure transparency, the UNECE plans to launch a joint website for Kharkiv and Mykolaiv, where information on all stages of development will be posted in maximum detail.

Odesa oblast

Head of the Odesa RMA, Serhii Bratchuk, reported that the night in Odesa oblast passed without air alert signals and shelling. The situation in the region is fully under control and the defense forces continue to carry out the assigned combat tasks. 

According to the ‘South’ Operational Command, the russian naval group in the Black Sea consists of 9 ships and boats, including one large amphibious ship, two surface and one underwater carriers of 20 high-precision Kalibr cruise missiles. However, ships do not dare to go beyond Cape Tarkhankut due to international guarantees of ensuring the functioning of grain corridors and fearing Ukrainian weapons.

The ministry of defense of russia announced that the “grain agreement”, according to which agricultural products were exported from three ports of Odesa oblast, has been suspended for an indefinite period. The reason for such a statement was the attack on the russian fleet in the Sevastopol bay. There is currently no reaction to this statement from Turkey and the UN. Head of the President’s Office, Andrii Yermak, called this decision “primitive blackmail.”

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority informs that an electronic queue for ships was introduced in the seaports of Odesa oblast. The queue ensures more transparent and favorable conditions for business. Now changes in the order of ships are allowed in the ports. For example, it is about the vessel not being ready for inspection or something else.

Kherson oblast

According to Head of the Kherson RMA, Yaroslav Yanushevych, active hostilities continue in Kherson oblast. The enemy continues to shell peaceful settlements. The population of the Beryslav region came under enemy fire. As a result, civilian infrastructure was damaged. Residents of the Henichesk region continue to report that the russian military is moving into their homes and stealing things. The invaders illegally took the property of agro-industrial enterprises in Kherson city and the Nyzhniy Sirohozy community.

The occupiers stole utility vehicles and are transporting them from Kherson to the occupied Crimea. Information on the steeling medical drugs from pharmacies is also confirmed. The occupiers suspended the medical staff in several hospitals, where the medical equipment was taken away. In addition, the russian military is carrying out forced deportation of the local population from the territories located on the Dnipro River banks of.

The ‘South’ Operational Command reports that the occupiers are forcibly evicting locals from their homes near Kherson. The russian troops have set up additional checkpoints on the roads to Crimea, where a thorough inspection of civilians is carried out.

Mayor of Skadovsk, Oleksandr Yakovliev, says that The russian military is actively occupying resort facilities and private houses in Skadovsk, Kherson oblast. At the same time, there are facts of looting in the houses of local residents who have not left the city. The occupying forces also take property from the school and the hospital.

The police of Kherson oblast opened 20 criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes committed by the russian army.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The brass band of the Ihor Stravinsky Volyn College of Culture and Arts performed in Lutsk. The collected money was transferred to the needs of the soldiers of the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Roman the Great.

Zakarpattia oblast

A pick-up truck for transporting combat groups and evacuating the wounded, as well as a Starlink module, were sent to the front from Zakarpattia oblast. Help was received by the fighters of Carpathian Sich.

Zakarpattia rescuers conducted special tactical training at a light industry enterprise. By training, rescuers strengthen their readiness to perform actions as assigned.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Heroes who gave their lives in the russian-Ukrainian war were commemorated in Ivano-Frankivsk. The Heroes were remembered in the memorial square with a moment of silence and prayers for the souls of the dead together with the clergy.

Lviv oblast

In the Lviv RMA a meeting with representatives of the EU Consultative Mission in Ukraine was held. They discussed the work of law enforcement and border services under martial law, as well as the support and integration of IDPs.

In the RMA, during the visit of Deputy Minister of Health Oleksii Yaremenko, a meeting with heads of health care institutions was held. The key issue is the development of health care facilities in wartime conditions.

Lviv Media Forum has created an application for international cooperation of media men and women. It is called Nibly. Here everybody can find remote or full-time work in Ukraine or abroad, as well as learn about programs, grants, tenders for media workers.

Over 20 education workers from other cities, who were forced to move to Lviv and work in Lviv schools, visited the Museum-Cultural Complex of Beer History Lvivarnya. This complex is a partner of the city mutual support project Suspended Service.

Rivne oblast

Head of the Rivne RMA, Vitalii Koval, announced that energy systems were stabilized. There will be no power outages in Rivne oblast.

In Rivne, the resettled people will be consulted at the Center for Social Welfare and Development. Free individual consultations will be conducted by the mobile group CF ROCADA.

In the center of Rivne, volunteers held the campaign Winter Tires for Vans. Used rubber, discs and money were collected to deliver to the soldiers on the front lines. The event was organized by members of the charity community Responsible Ukrainians.

Ternopil oblast

For IDPs from Mariupol, who temporarily live in Ternopil oblast, the Department of Culture and Tourism of the regional military administration organized a tour of local patriotic and religious tourist routes. The purpose of the excursion was to get acquainted with the role of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in the formation of Ukrainian statehood.

Soldiers from the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade received letters from students of one of the schools in Ternopil oblast and thanked them for their wishes and support.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Mobile medical teams have started operating in Khmelnytskyi oblast. As part of the project, teams of doctors travel to remote areas of Shepetiv region, where they provide primary medical care to the population. In addition to examinations, doctors can, if necessary, prescribe treatment and provide patients with free medicines.

The Chernivtsi Regional Council reported that construction of a hostel for displaced persons is underway in Khotyn. The hostel is furnished thanks to partners from humanitarian and international organizations – ACTED and IOM, furniture is provided by USAID. Part of the funds was also allocated from the city budget of Khotyn. The building is currently being roofed.

Chernivtsi oblast

A group of 21 employees of the Chernivtsi housing and communal services went to Mykolaiv. Utility workers will help the hero city restore infrastructure.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The Pentagon announced a new $275 million military aid package for Ukraine. The package includes ammunition for HIMARS, 500 rounds of precision guided artillery, remote anti-tank mine systems, HMMWV light transport vehicles, small arms and ammunition, as well as over 2.75 million small arms ammunition and satellite antennas.

European Justice Commissioner, Didier Reynders, announced that since the war began, the EU has introduced eight packages of sanctions against russia and frozen €17 billion in russian assets.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan called Ukraine a role model for the country. The government institution of Taiwan will send donations to Ukraine in the amount of $56 million, intended for the restoration of schools, hospitals and other infrastructure. The possibility of opening scholarships for Ukrainians in Taiwanese universities is also being discussed.

Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, announced that Ottawa will issue government bonds to support Ukraine. The money will be sent directly to Ukraine through the International Monetary Fund.

Lithuania will repair 12 war-damaged howitzers for Ukraine. Minister of Defense of Lithuania, Arvydas Anusauskas noted that two PzH 2000 howitzers are already on their way to Ukraine after repair.

From 1 January 2023, the UK will stop all imports of russian liquefied natural gas and support countries around the world to reduce their own dependence. “We are depriving putin of funds for his illegal war,” the British Foreign Office said.

Canada imposes sanctions against 35 individuals and six legal entities of russia in order to increase pressure on putin’s regime.

9 countries left the Alliance of Independent Press Councils of Europe due to the presence of the russian federation. The press councils of Armenia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Ireland, Moldova, Norway and Sweden left the Alliance. Before that, Ukraine had already left the Alliance.

Minister of Family and Social Policy of Poland, Marlena Malag, stated that the Polish authorities have decided to cancel the simplified employment procedure for russians. The reason for this was the war of the russian federation against Ukraine.

Ambassador of Ukraine, Vadym Prystaiko, reported that the Embassy of Ukraine in Great Britain is already working with the Government of the Kingdom on the visit of the new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to Ukraine.

Former Head of the Swedish Ministry of Defense and Head of the Swedish Defense Committee, Peter Hultqvist, stated that Sweden, Norway and Finland should create a joint army after joining NATO against the background of tension in relations with the russian federation.

Poland intends to demand reparations from the russian federation for the Second World War. The statement says that calculations will be made according to the same mechanism that was used to report the damage caused by Germany during the occupation in 1939-1945.

President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, awarded Prague with the title of Savior City. Prague became the third city after Poland’s Rzeszow and Przemysl to receive this honorable distinction.
