 It has been the 236th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6pm: 

The enemy is attempting to stand ground in the temporarily occupied territories, deter the actions of the Armed forces of Ukraine in some directions and launch the offensive towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka. 

Units of the Defense Forces repulsed attacks by the occupiers in the areas of the settlements of Spirne, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Maiorsk, Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Pobieda and Nevelske in Donetsk oblast.

The enemy is firing at Ukrainian positions along the entire contact line, erecting defensive constructions in some areas and conducting aerial reconnaissance. By violating the norms of the International humanitarian law, the enemy hits critical infrastructure and residential households.

They launched 9 missile and 39 air strikes, 30 multi rocket launcher attacks.

Over 25 settlements suffered from enemy strikes, namely Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia; Kozacha Lopan and Strelecha, Kharkiv Oblast; Krasnohorivka, Terny, Soledar and Marinka of Donetsk Oblast, Bilohirka, Kherson Oblast as well as other settlements of Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Sumy oblasts. 

For strikes, the enemy used cruise, aircraft and anti-aircraft guided missiles. In addition, the enemy continues to use Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicles Shahed -136.

The situation did not significantly change towards Volyn and Polissia. Planned rotation of armed forces of belarus protecting the state border is underway. The territory of Ukraine is exposed to the threat of missile and air strikes, launch of attack “Shahed-136” UAVs from the territory of belarus.  

In other directions the enemy fired towards:

Siversk with artillery of various types, in the areas of Popivka and Khodyno, Sumy oblast

Sloboda from tanks, mortars, barreled and jet artillery, in the areas of Vysoka Yaruha, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Kozacha Lopan, Ohirtseve and Hatyshche; 

Kramatorsk from tanks and artillery along the contact line. In particular, in the areas of settlements Hrekivka, Stelmakhivka, Zarichne, Kyselivka, Terny and Yampolivka;

Bakhmut and Avdiivka from tanks, mortars, barreled and rocket artillery along the entire contact line. 

Towards Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, the enemy shelled more than 25 settlements, namely Velyka Novosika, Pavlivka, Olhivske and Mali Shcherbaki.

Towards the South Buh, the enemy defends previously occupied lines and positions. It shells military and civilian infrastructure in over 35 settlements along the contact line. 

According to the updated information, the results of fire damage to enemy units were confirmed. As a result of point attacks by artillery of the Defense Forces in the settlement of Melitopol, Zaporizhia region, more than 40 invaders were wounded. In Berdiansk, an ammunition depot was destroyed. In the village of Voskresenka, there are  up to 30 wounded invaders, in Vasylivka up to 25. The death toll, which the occupiers are trying to hide, is being specified.

In Kherson, the occupiers are forced to involve units of the russian Guard in fortification operations at positions around the city. At the same time, measures are being taken to take collaborators and their families to the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

Aviation of the Defense Forces inflicted more than 11 strikes. The defeat of 10 buildups of weapons and military equipment, as well as the position of the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile system was confirmed.

In addition, our air defense units shot down 25 enemy Shahed-136 UAVs.

Units of the missile forces and artillery affected two control points, one buildup of manpower, weapons and military equipment, two air defense facilities, 2 ammunition depots and other enemy military targets.

Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak announced that 108 women were released from Russian captivity. They include 37 evacuees from Azovstal, 11 officers, 85 privates and sergeants. Of these, 35 defenders from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 32 the Navy, 12 territorial defense, 8 NGU, including 2 from “Azov”, 5 DSST, 4 SBGS and 12 civilians. Yermak also added that among those released were illegally imprisoned in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, who were captured before the large-scale invasion.

Kyiv Mayor VitaliY Klitschko, Head of the National Police Ihor Klymenko report that as a result of the terrorist attack in Kyiv, critical infrastructure facilities and a residential building were hit. 19 people were saved. 4 dead were found under the rubble, among them – a young couple who were expecting the birth of a baby. 

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal informs that in the morning, Ukraine’s energy infrastructure was attacked in three oblasts. As a result of the attack, hundreds of settlements were de-energized. Currently, all services are working to eliminate the consequences of shelling and restore power supply. He also called on Ukrainians to save electricity.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Hatyshche, Kozacha Lopan, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Veterynarne, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Vysoka Yaruha and Zelene were under fire.

Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that russian servicemen involved in the torture of Ukrainian soldiers were captured. Among the suspected russians are mercenaries of a private military company.

The bodies of a married couple who died during shelling in March were exhumed in Cherkaski Tyshky village. A headless body was also found and the identity of the deceased is being established.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that the enemy shelled settlements along the contact line and the border with the russian federation with mortars, rocket and barrel artillery. Kozacha Lopan settlement of Kharkiv district, Dvorichne settlement of Kupiansk district, Vovchansk city of Chuhuiv district and villages of Volchansk community and others were under fire. Fires broke out in non-residential buildings due to the shelling.

According to the Regional Centre for Emergency Medical Care, a 45-year-old woman was killed as a result of shelling in Kharkiv district. A 69-year-old man in the Kupiansk regiont and a 47-year-old woman in Solonytsivka settlement were hospitalized with injuries.

In the Izium region, 2 people, a 54-year-old man and his 16-year-old son, went to hospital to treat earlier injuries.

De-mining continues. State Emergency Service pyrotechnics defused 630 explosive ordnance.

Regional electricians have partially restored power supply to Bilyi Kolodiaz settlement, Vovchansk city and villages of the Vovchansk community in the Chuhuiv region. Now electricity is back for 7,700 residents in the community.

Donetsk oblast

Donetsk Regional Police Spokeswoman, Oleksandra Havrylko, reported that the exhumation of bodies of civilians continues in the de-occupied territories, with police receiving new information from locals every day about those killed during the occupation.

Artillerymen of the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade of Mykolaiv burnt down two russian MT-LB multi-purpose light-armoured tractors. The brigade posted a relevant video on its Facebook page.

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that russians killed 4 civilians: in Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka and Zarichne. In addition, 7 more civilians killed during the occupation were found in Lyman. Another 10 people were injured the day before.

The night was relatively quiet – there were no casualties, but there was destruction. In the Pokrovsk region, the villages of the Ocheretyne community were under fire. In the Kramatorsk region, russians hit an enterprise in Sloviansk.

There was isolated shelling of villages in the Soledar community of the Bakhmut region – 1 house was damaged in Paraskoviivka.

The enemy troops also hit the outskirts of Sloviansk. There were no casualties.

Luhansk oblast

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that the enemy shelled Bilohorivka, Hrekivka and Novoiehorivka, where residents remain. Due to the increased danger, only Ukrainian troops now can evacuate people from the de-occupied settlements.

Towards Bakhmut, settlements along the entire contact line suffer from russian shelling.

At the same time, the so-called ‘Luhansk People’s Republic’ joined an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of resorts and tourism with the ‘new russian subjects’. This includes support for activities in resorts and realisation of the region’s tourism potential. Especially in Hirske, Lysychansk, Popasna, Rubizhne, Sievierodonetsk and Zolote.

Ukrainian troops repelled enemy attacks in Bakhmut, Krasnohorivka, Maiorsk, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Soledar, Torske and Vodiane settlements.

The Defence Forces’ aviation launched more than thirty strikes. Twenty-five buildups of weapons and military equipment and six anti-aircraft missile system positions were hit. Our air defense units also shot down fifteen enemy UAVs.

Ukrainian rocket forces and artillery hit two control posts, one anti-aircraft position and one ammunition depot.

The invaders are trying to replace their losses and massively mobilizing men in the temporarily occupied territories. In particular, in Stanytsia Luhanska, after a ‘medical examination’, municipal workers were considered suitable for military service.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

As a result of the russian attack on the capital, an administration building and a residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district were hit. According to the City Mayor, Vitalii Klytchko, 28 drones were flying towards Kyiv and most of them were shot. There were 5 explosions in the city.

Rescue teams recovered the bodies of four civilians from under the rubble of a house hit by a russian drone. Among the victims, there was a young couple expecting a child. 19 residents of the building were rescued, three victims were taken to hospital, two of them are rescuers. Traffic is blocked in the center of Kyiv, fires are being extinguished and wreckage removed.

Fragments of a drone downed by the Ukrainian air defense forces during an enemy attack have been discovered. According to the head of the Kyiv region police, Andrii Nebytov, the wreckage of the “Shahed” drone was found by the police near the greenery of one of the districts of Kyiv oblast. There were no casualties or damage to infrastructure.

Since the full-scale invasion by russia, 428 air raid sirens have sounded in Kyiv oblast. According to the map of air raid alerts, the total duration of alerts is 17 days and 20 hours, and the average lasts an hour. The largest number of alarms was heard in the capital 569.

According to the information from the Kyiv RMA, construction materials continue to be delivered to communities of the oblast to restore damaged facilities. By the end of the year, roofing materials will be delivered to about 100 residential infrastructure facilities. Currently, 20 facilities have been provided with these materials.

The National Philharmonic of Ukraine has resumed working and invites fans to attend various concert programs. It should be noted that as a result of a russian missile strike near the Kyiv Philharmonic on October 10, the blast wave damaged the windows of the Small Hall.

Zhytomyr oblast

The city Mayor Serhii Sukhomlyn said that in order to save electricity, street lighting will not be turned on in Zhytomyr. Electric transport will continue to operate on a limited schedule, and business owners are urged to turn off illuminated advertising signs and billboards.

As reported by the Department of Education, Zhytomyr kindergartens resumed working, after having been temporarily closed on October 11 after the missile strike. The staff of the city’s kindergartens have experience of keeping children in the shelter for a long time, so they know the procedure.

According to the U-LEAD with Europe Programme, the Radomyshl community prepared 4 land plots and 6 real estate facilities for investment. The community described the facilities in detail and collected all the necessary information for prospective investors.

Residents of Karpivtsi village of the Vilshanka community purchased and delivered a car to the soldiers on the front line. The fundraising was joined by other villages of the community and children who set two improvised checkpoints. Serhii Melnyk, the Head of Vilshany village, noted that the car worth over UAH 200K was purchased at an auction for the money raised not only by adults, but also by children.

Sumy oblast

According to the State Emergency Service, Velyka Pysarivska, Bilopillia and Krasnopillia communities of Sumy oblast were under enemy fire. The russians were firing using aircraft missiles, MLRS, mortars, and small arms. As a result of one of the attacks, a critical infrastructure facility was damaged, and a number of settlements were left without power supply. A civilian agricultural enterprise was also damaged.

The russian army continues to terrorize the population of Ukraine – this time they launched missile strikes at critical infrastructure of Sumy oblast. Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, Head of the Sumy RMA reported that three missiles hit a civilian infrastructure facility in the Romny region, killing 4 people. The fire was extinguished, three people were rescued from under the rubble, yet search and rescue operations continue.

The russian army shelled the town of Seredyno-Buda with artillery and automatic grenade launchers. According to the ‘North’ Operational Command, two houses in the village caught on fire. Information on casualties among the local population is being clarified.

The SES representatives of the oblast reported that during the week, EOD teams of Sumy oblast discovered 49 explosive devices. Among these devices the following items were found: artillery and rocket shells, mortar rounds, anti-tank mines; hand, anti-tank, and under-barrel grenades; as well as elements of reactive armor of armored vehicles.

Ten houses have been prepared by residents of Hremyachka village, the Shostka region, for IDPs. These houses are ready to host Ukrainians fleeing the war free of charge. There are abandoned houses in the village, and the locals decided to equip and offer them to IDPs in the early days of the war.

Chernihiv oblast

The ‘North’ Operational Command informed that the enemy continues to shell the border settlements of Chernihiv oblast. There were 7 strikes from 120 mm mortars in the area of Senkivka. There were no losses among the personnel or equipment.

Border guards of the Chernihiv detachment downed an enemy drone that was going to drop a munition on the territory of one of the communities. According to the State Border Guard Service, the border guards got the copter in working condition with minor damage.

The State Emergency Service of Chernihiv oblast reported that over the past week, EOD teams were deployed 54 times to dispose explosive devices and found and seized 542 such items.

The Chernihiv RMA informed that availability and proper operation of generators is being checked in health care facilities. Also, in case of emergency, all generators of medical institutions should have a sufficient amount of fuel to work for several days.

Reconstruction of damaged infrastructure continues in Chernihiv oblast. It is expected to complete works in all high-rise buildings which were restored under the supervision of the regional military administration in Chernihiv this week.

According to the Chernihiv Regional Council, a famous musician Lukas Stasevsky – Finnish cellist and film director of Ukrainian origin – visited Sosnytsia. The musician was born in Tallinn and lived with his family in Finland but moved to Kyiv with the beginning of the full-scale war. Now he raises funds to purchase cars for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is engaged in volunteer work and creative projects.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast 

At night, russian terrorists launched four missiles to hit the oblast. Three of them did not reach their destination thanks to the air defense forces – one was shot down over the Nikopol region, two more – over the Kryvyi Rih region. Nevertheless, one missile hit an energy infrastructure facility. There is severe destruction and a fire. 

In the morning, the occupiers fired at the Nikopol region with heavy artillery and Hrad missiles. They targeted Marganets and Krasnohryhorovka communities. No casualties are reported. There are damaged houses.

In the afternoon, the occupiers attacked the Kamianka region – an energy infrastructure facility came under attack. There was a fire on the spot and large-scale destruction. 

Head of the DOR Mykola Lukashuk reports that in the Zelenodolsk community, a tractor exploded on enemy ammunition during field work. The driver was not injured, the agricultural machine was damaged. 

Vinnytsia oblast

Head of the RMA Serhii Borzov says that russian troops launched a missile strike on Vinnytsia oblast: they hit a critical infrastructure facility.

Vinnytsia Mayor Serhii Morhunov handed over a pickup truck and a Mavic 3 copter to the soldiers of the 120th troop brigade fighting near Donetsk.

Kirovohrad oblast

Based on the information provided by the secretary of the Haivoron city council, a local enterprise manufactures stoves named ‘bandera-stoves'(banderopechi) for the military in Haivoron. 

Poltava oblast

Based on the information provided by Dmytro Lunin, Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, thanks to Lithuanian partners, another 65 routers were handed over to educational institutions of Poltava Oblast,to provide a safe training process and reduce the stress level during an air raid period.

Cherkasy Oblast

Based on the information provided by Ihor Taburets, Head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration, air defense forces shot an enemy target during an air raid in the evening.

During the exchange of prisoners of war, a 28-year-old doctor from Cherkasy region, Maryna Holinko, returned to Ukraine. She was in captivity for half a year. This was reported by Marina’s sister, Aliona Koval.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

After 4 a.m. the russian military attacked Zaporizhzhia again. 5 high-rise buildings were damaged as a result of the night rocket strike.

The Zaporizhzhya NPP was again disconnected from the Ukrainian power grid after the russian shelling. Currently, the operation of the nuclear power plant is provided by diesel generators.

The General Staff reported that more than 40 occupiers were wounded in Melitopol as a result of artillery strikes of the Defense Forces. An ammunition depot was destroyed in Berdiansk. Up to 30 invaders were wounded in the village of Voskresenka, and up to 25 – in Vasylivka. The death toll, which the occupiers are trying to hide, is being clarified.

The russians mobilized three thousand local residents into a pseudo-volunteer battalion in the temporarily occupied Melitopol. People who have received russian passports are primarily subject to mobilization.

In the Zaporizhzhya region, which includes 17 territorial communities, preparations are being made for the heating season. In particular, 201 boiler rooms have been prepared — that’s 97% of the planned amount with a 76% coal supply provided. In addition, heating points are planned to be organized in case of lack of heat in homes or destruction of housing by occupiers. In case of emergencies, the local authorities are working on creating alternative boiler houses, forming a stock of food, drinking water, and rooms for providing medical assistance. Transport, fuel, food and temporary housing are also being prepared for people who will be evacuated.

Mykolaiv oblast

The enemy attacked the Bereznehuvate community with S-300 anti-aircraft missiles. Agricultural enterprises were damaged. There were no casualties.

Before dawn, Mykolaiv oblast was attacked by kamikaze drones. 9 drones were shot down over Mykolaiv oblast by air defense forces.

On the night of October 17, the russian military attacked Mykolaiv oblast with fifteen Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. Eleven drones were shot down by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Three drones hit industrial infrastructure facilities and a pharmaceutical warehouse. As a result of the attack, two tanks with unrefined oil caught fire on the territory of an enterprise.

The russian army is trying to attack the critical and industrial infrastructure of Mykolaiv oblast with kamikaze drones, but the Ukrainian military repelled 80% of the attacks.  Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitalii Kim stated that critical infrastructure in the region is functioning. 

During the night, our rocket and artillery units struck an enemy personnel and equipment buildup in the south of the Mykolaiv region.

Swedish volunteers from Gothenburg handed over a fire truck to Mykolaiv oblast. All free space in the fire truck was filled with equipment for firefighters, medical supplies, medicine and food.

Odesa oblast

Before dawn, Odesa oblast was attacked by kamikaze drones. 6 drones were shot down over the region by air defense forces.

Another operational-tactical enemy UAV aimed at Odesa oblast was destroyed by air defense forces over the sea.

In the morning, the enemy launched an air-to-ground Kh-59 missile attack from an Su-35 aircraft on an infrastructure facility in Odesa oblast. There are no casualties.

The number of enemy ships in the Black Sea is 4 ships and boats maneuvering along the Crimean coast. There are 2 cruise missiles carriers with a total volley of 16 Kalibers.

Kherson oblast

The situation in the South Buh operational zone is complex, but is confidently controlled by the Defense Forces. The enemy continues to launch missile attacks, mainly aiming to disrupt the energy system and destroy industrial facilities.

The enemy concentrates its efforts on holding captured territories, and conducts an active defensive along the entire line of contact. During the night, it fired at the areas where our units were concentrated, territories adjacent to the front line, and rear areas. During the combat day, the enemy launched 5 air attacks along the entire front line and in nearby settlements.

The defense forces launched 15 airstrikes and 230 fire missions against enemy manpower and equipment buildups, strongholds and anti-aircraft defense means.

The police opened 36 criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes committed by the russian military in Kherson oblast. The russian aggressor once again fired from Grad MLRS, heavy artillery and mortars at the populated areas of the Beryslav region. As a result of the attacks, there are wounded among the civilian population. Private houses, garages, two stables, farms, warehouses and agricultural machinery were damaged and destroyed. The police work, where possible, at the places where enemy shells landed, collecting and seizing the evidence of war crimes committed by the russian army.

The Center of National Resistance reported that the occupiers are evacuating families, looting museums and factories in the south of Ukraine. The collaborators, their families and the families of the occupiers were transported from Kherson to Henichesk and Crimea. In addition, the russians dismantle and actively remove equipment and other property from factories. Also, according to the Ukrainian underground, the russian authorities sent an instruction to all museums at the temporary occupied territories to prepare valuable exhibits for transportation to the territory of the russian federation

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Volynoblenergo reported that residents of Volyn oblast reduced their power supply consumption by 6% last week. As a result of missile strikes on energy substations, there was a power deficit in the power grid.

Zakarpattia oblast

The Romanian railway company CFR Infrastructura has restored the railway line from Vala-Vicheului (Romania) to the border with Ukraine. The Romanian infrastructure operator reported that 1 400 sleepers were replaced on the line and 400 tons of crushed stone were dumped. Repairs are being continued on the line between Teresva (Ukraine) and Sighet Marmaroskyi (Romania).

The explosives technician of the Zakarpattia Police Vladyslav Hornod became the world champion in self-defense combats in the championship held in Hungary. Representatives of 23 countries took part in it.

Servicemen of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade received awards from the state and the Ministry of Defense .

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The Cathedral of the Holy Land of the Ukrainian OCU held a charity fair to raise money for defenders of Ukraine. At the charity event, everyone could buy sweets, handicrafts and take a picture in national costumes. Almost UAH 35K collected will go to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Lviv oblast

Head of the RMA, Maksym Kozytskyi, announced that since October 12, Lviv oblast has reduced the use of electricity by almost 10%. As a result of rocket attacks on energy substations in Lviv oblast, there was a power deficit in the power grid.

In the RMA a meeting with a member of the Belgian Parliament, Georges Dalleman, was held. They discussed humanitarian aid.

Security forces and medical institutions received humanitarian cargo worth EUR 40K, namely, cars, first-aid kits, body armour, helmets and turnstiles. Aid was transferred from Belgium and Germany.

The charity fund of the Crimean Tatar community ASTEM Foundation donated 30 sets of special clothing for parking inspectors. The Ukrainian manufacturer tailored the clothes individually for each inspector. The total cost of all 30 sets of uniforms is UAH 300K.

In the Shehynivska Territorial Community, Novoyavorivska Territorial Community and on the territory of St. Yuri’s Church (Shklo village) caring residents held charity fairs. The collected funds will go to support the military.

Commander of the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ihor Skybyuk, received the highest state award, the Golden Star order. The colonel was also awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine.

In Stryi a commemorative plaque to the Hero of Ukraine, junior lieutenant, commander of the 2nd separate battalion of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps Right Sector Taras Bobanych was opened. The hero fell in a battle against russian troops during a combat mission in the Izium direction, covering his comrades.

Kateryna Polishchuk, known as Bird from Azovstal, performed the national anthem of Ukraine before the match between Shakhtar and Dynamo at Arena Lviv. And the defender of Azovstal Mykhailo Dianov made a symbolic kick on the ball before the game.

Rivne oblast 

Head of the RMA, Vitaliy Koval, stated that protection of the Rivne NPP will be strengthened. Namely, additional checkpoints, restricted movement of cars, prohibited video recorders, etc. will be installed.

The RMA reported that Rivne oblast received 17 oxygen cylinders from the WHO. The capacity of each is 10 liters. The total cost is UAH 122K.

In Rivne, a call center for social protection issues has opened. In the call center people get information about all services provided by the Department of Social Policy.

A contemporary poet from Rivne, Andriy Permyakov, became the winner of the Svitochiv Regional Literary Award. Its size is UAH 10K. The artist will donate these funds for the treatment of military personnel.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the military hospital and presented awards to soldiers and doctors. Among the awardees are Dmytro Nikolaichuk, native Duben region. Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Dmytro Nikolaichuk with the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree.

Ternopil oblast

In Ternopil oblast, the collection of signatures to ban the UOC-MP in Ukraine continues. Over 50K signatures have already been collected.

Lieutenant, native Borshchev, Hero of Ukraine Ihor Dykun appeared on the pages of the calendar We Believe in the Armed Forces! We Believe in Ukraine!. The thematic calendars with 12 military personnel will be drawn in a lottery and sold at an auction, and the proceeds will be used to buy cars and drones for the military.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The Red Cross of Ukraine donated humanitarian cargo for the needs of one of the medical institutions that care for wounded soldiers. Namely, over three dozen special medical tables and fifty manipulation chairs.

Commander of the Donetsk border detachment, from Dunaiev region, Valerii Paditel, was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Golden Star order.Together with his comrades, he participated in the battles for Mariupol and was captured by the russians.

Chernivtsi oblast

In Bukovina, as part of theCommunity Police Officer project, community police officers received new cars.They were purchased with the funds of territorial communities.

A resident of the village of Malyntsi, the Klishkovets territorial community, Oleh Potapenko, received an award from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi – the badge For Exemplary in Military Service III degree for high performance in combat training.

The film Pamfir shot in Bukovyna by the director from Chernivtsi, Dmytro Suholytky-Sobchuk, will be shown in over ten countries around the world. From November, the film will be in almost a hundred cinemas in France.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, announced that the Council of the EU adopted a decision on the creation of the European Union Military Assistance Mission to Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine). The EU is increasing military aid to Ukraine to €3.1 billion.

Minister of Defense, Oleksiy Reznikov, announced that Ukraine will soon receive the first NASAMS air defense systems.

Minister of Defense of France, Sebastien Lecorneau, announced that his country will transfer Crotale air defense systems to Ukraine.
