It has been the 228th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 18.00: 

The enemy attempts to hold the ground in the temporarily occupied territories and focuses on thwarting the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in certain directions. They are sporadically launching offensive actions towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka. The enemy fires at our positions along the entire contact line, erects the defensive structures in certain directions and conducts aerial reconnaissance.

There were enemy strikes on critical infrastructure and residential buildings, which violate the norms of the International humanitarian law, laws and customs of war. 

The territory of Ukraine is exposed to the threat of missile and air strikes. The occupiers launched 5 missiles and 12 air strikes, fired 30 times from multi-rocket launch systems.

Civilians and infrastructure facilities were affected by the enemy strikes in over 15 settlements, namely Bereznehuvate, Bilohorivka, Davydiv Brid, Marinka, Makiivka, Novomykhailivka, Nova Kamianka, Spirne, Tryfonivka, Vuhledar, Vremivka, Zelenopillia.

To strike Zaporozhzhia, the enemy used 20 cruise, aviation and anti-aircraft guided missiles. In addition, the enemy continues to use Iranian-made Shahed-136 unmanned aerial vehicles. One of them was destroyed by air defense forces in the Black Sea.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation didn’t significantly change.

The enemy has been firing towards:

Siversk, from mortars and barreled artillery in the areas of Myropillia, Mezenivka, Vorozhba, Slavhorod, Seredyna Buda and Starykove, Sumy Oblast. Without crossing the state border, the enemy inflicted air strikes, using army aviation;

Sloboda, from barreled and rocket artillery, 30 settlements, namely Bilyi Kolodiaz, Vysoka Yaruha, Izium, Neskuchne, Ridkodub, Chervona Zoria. Also, the enemy used assault UAVs;

Kramatorsk, from tanks, mortars, barreled and jet artillery along the entire contact line, namely the settlements of Bilohorivka, Hrekivka, Ivanivka, Nevske, Pershotravneve, Serebrianka and Terny. Massive mining of bridges, crossings and suburbs of settlements is carried out;

Bakhmut, from tanks, mortars, barreled and rocket artillery along the entire line of contact, namely the settlements of Andriivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Zaitseve, Zelenopillia, Soledar, Yakovlivka, Maiorsk and Niu York;

Avdiivka, the settlements of Avdiivka, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pervomaiske, and Novomykhailivka.

Towards Novopavlivka and Zaporozhzhia, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions. Over 30 settlements were shelled from tanks, mortars and barreled artillery, namely Huliaipole, Vilne Pole, Vuhledar, Vremivka, Novosilka, Poltavka and Charivne.

Towards the South Buh, areas of over 35 towns and villages along the entire contact line were affected by fire. Thus, in Mykolaiv Oblast, 38 targets were hit, none of them being a military one, namely 24 residential buildings, 3 objects of critical infrastructure and life support, 7 industrial facilities.

Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repulsed enemy attacks in the areas of Budarka, Nevelske, Niu York, Pershetravneve, Pobieda, Soledar, and Terny.

The leadership of the russian federation is taking measures to find additional resources for warfare. Currently, negotiations are underway with third countries on the purchase of artillery shells, mortar rounds and components for multiple launch rocket systems.

Military warehouses and arsenals of the republic of belarus also provide the enemy with supplies. In the near future, it is planned to move another 13 convoys with ammunition and military equipment to the territory of russia.

Aviation of the Defense Forces inflicted 9 air strikes. 7 buildups of weapons and military equipment, 3 anti-aircraft missile systems of the enemy were destroyed. Besides, our air defense units shot down 2 UAVs, one enemy aircraft and one Kh-59 guided aircraft missile.

Rocket troops and artillery hit 3 control points, 2 buildups of manpower, weapons and military equipment. Electronic warfare complexes and self-propelled artillery positions also came under fire.


Deputy Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko informs that the russians again shelled Zaporizhia. As a result of direct missile hits, the nine-storey building was destroyed from the ground to the sixth floors. During the dismantling of the ruins, the remaining two floors collapsed. 13 people were killed, including one child, another 89 got injured, including 11 children. Dozens of private homes, two apartment buildings and the city’s civilian infrastructure came under fire.

Head of the joint press center of the ‘South’ Operational Command Natalia Humenyuk says that slowly but surely, the offensive in the south continues. The invaders retreat under our pressure. Step by step, but we are moving forward. She also added that kamikaze drones remain a danger to the Ukrainian people, as they are aimed at infrastructure facilities for a psychological effect to intensify tension in society.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that the enemy shelled Vovchansk city and settlements in Bohodukhiv, Izium, Kharkiv and Kupiansk regions with artillery.

Three residents were hospitalised as a result of the shelling: a 32-year-old man from Vovchansk, a 59-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man from the Dvorichna community, the Kupiansk region, the latter stepped on a landmine.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, The invaders shelled 30 settlements in Sloboda Ukraine. Bilyi Kolodiaz, Chervona Zoria, Izium, Neskuchne, Ridkodub and Vysoka Yaruha settlements were hit. UAVs were used for the shelling. Near Budarky village, Vovchansk community, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled enemy attacks.

De-mining of the territories continues. Units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine defused 633 explosive objects.

The Kharkiv Regional Police informed that more than 1,100 war crimes were recorded in the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv oblast. 1,041 cases were registered under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violations of laws and customs of war and 105 cases concerning collaboration activities.

Based on the information provided on the page of the Kharkiv enterprise of bus stations, on October 11, Chuhuiv and Kharkiv will restore bus connection with Izium. There will be two daily morning trips from Chuhuiv and one from Kharkiv.

The Pushkin Theatre in Kharkiv, which suffered from russian shelling, resumed work. For the first time since the February invasion, the actors returned to rehearsals. The theatre is preparing a premiere based on Remarque’s novel Flotsam.

Donetsk oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy continued shelling communities with tanks, mortars and barrel artillery.

Towards Kramatorsk, Bilohorivka, Dronivka, Hrekivka, Hryhorivka, Ivanivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Novoiehorivka, Pershotravneve, Serebrianka, Terny, Vesele, Yampolivka and in Bakhmut direction, Andriivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Maiorsk, Niu-York, Opytne, Rozdolivka, Rozdolivka, Soledar, Verkhnokamianske, Yakovlivka, Zaitseve, Zelenopillia were under fire.

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy targeted Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Nevelske, Novomykhailivka, Pervomaiske and Vodiane.

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that three civilians were killed due to invaders’ shelling: one person in Bakhmut and two in Chasiv Yar. Another 14 were injured. The number of casualties in Mariupol and Volnovakha is yet to be established.

Referring to the Mariupol City Council, on October 8, an explosion occurred near the occupied Mariupol. The Karan station, where the explosion was, is located 50 km away from Mariupol.

The Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories informed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 40 settlements. The territories liberated from the occupation belong to Lyman and Sviatohirsk communities. Infrastructure is being restored there and stabilization measures are taken. Electricity and mobile communications are being restored.

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, said that exhumation of bodies at the mass grave sites discovered in Lyman continues. “Many of the bodies reveal signs of violent death. All the results will be reported after expert examinations,” he noted. Two separate graves were found: one of about 200 civilians and the other, a trench 40 metres long, is a mass grave of military personnel. Among the victims are children.

Based on the information provided in a Telegram channel by the Kyiv Regional Police Chief, russian military headquarters was discovered in Lyman, where the invaders kept looted goods. There, they kept stolen bathtubs, toilets, refrigerators and even women’s underwear.

The first of 100 planned fire-fighting vehicles was given to the units of the Donetsk Regional State Emergency Service. The assistance came from the LUkraine Association of Ukrainians of Luxembourg. The vehicle is equipped with five bullet-proof vests for personnel from the Lviv Defence Cluster community organisation.

Luhansk oblast

The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated 7 settlements, Hrekivka being the first among them. The following villages in Svatove district are now fully controlled by Ukraine – Andriivka, Hrekivka, Nadiia, Novoiehorivka, Nevske, Novoliubivka and Stelmakhivka. 

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that collaborators are running away from Starobilsk. He added that russians mentioned the need for heating in Lysychansk, Rubizhne and Sievierodonetsk exactly one week before the start of the heating season. In Sievierodonetsk, they set up training facilities for the mobilised in the occupied territories.

The Defence Forces’ aviation launched over thirty strikes. In particular, twenty-four against buildups of manpower, weapons and military equipment and nine against the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile systems. In addition, our air defence units shot down five UAVs.

Rocket and artillery forces struck two control posts, nine buildups of manpower, weapons and military equipment, three ammunition depots and eleven other important targets.

Units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine repulsed enemy attacks in the areas of Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Ivanhrad, Nevelske, Opytne, Pervomaisk, Pobieda, Soledar and Terny.

The most tense situation was observed towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka, where our defenders repulsed more than 30 attacks.

The enemy shelled dozens of settlements, namely:

  • in Bakhmut direction – Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Ivanhrad, Maiorsk, Niu-York, Opytne, Rozdolivka, Soledar, Verkhnokamianske, Vershyna, Yakovlivka, Zaitseve and Zelenopillia;
  • in Kramatorsk direction – Bilohorivka, Dronivka, Hryhorivka, Makiivka, Nove, Novoiehorivka, Pershotravneve, Serebrianka, Terny, Vesele and Yampolivka.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

86% of schools in Kyiv oblast have shelters. Head of the Kyiv RMA Oleksiy Kuleba said that shelters are being arranged in those institutions with no shelters available, namely in Nemishaive Lyceum No. 1 and the Dzvinochok kindergarten in order to restore face-to-face education in safe conditions. The kindergarten also needs to repair the exterior of the building, which was damaged by enemy shelling.

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported that a new dispensary will appear in the city of Makariv by the end of the year. At the beginning of March, the dispensary was destroyed by russian shells. Currently, the dispensary is being rebuilt with funds from benefactors collected by the Kyiv School of Economics.

The State Special Transport Service of the Ministry of Defense reported that the ceremonial opening of an educational institution took place in the Ivankiv community of the Vyshhorod region. Within a month, the military repaired the roof of the lyceum damaged by the occupiers.

30 children from vulnerable categories of Kyiv oblast went on a tourist trip to the Kingdom of Spain thanks to the invitation of the Spanish charitable association Helping Ukrainian Children from Majorca.

The exhibition When Faith Moves Mountains, presented in partnership with the Belgian Museum of Contemporary Art in Antwerp, took place in Kyiv. It united over 45 Ukrainian and foreign artists. The exhibition was supplemented by the russian War Crimes project.

Zhytomyr oblast

Six families of migrants were provided with social housing for temporary living in the Nova Borova community. The apartments were purchased by the State Fund for the Promotion of Youth Housing Construction as part of the state social housing program.

Oleksandr Shvetsov, a veteran of the ATO from Zhytomyr, is walking from Odesa to Yaremche, on his way collecting money for two pickup trucks and a minibus for his brotherhood fellows. In four days, he covered 44 km and collected almost 300K of the required 800K hryvnias. According to Oleksandr, the idea is that with their donations, Ukrainians will help him shorten the distance by 800 K steps.

In the Chudniv Lyceum, a charity event called Warm of Faith in Victory is underway, initiated by students, their parents and teachers. More than 150 trench candles were made and sent to the front lines by students of the lyceum.

Sumy oblast

The enemy shelled the territory of Sumy oblast with self-propelled guns, mortars and carried out airstrikes from helicopters that did not cross the state border. 55 strikes were recorded, 28 of which were unguided missiles. As reported by the Sumy RMA, the villages of Krasnopillia and Velika Pysarivka communities came under enemy fire.

A man was injured by an airstrike in one of the villages of the Velika Pysarivka community. He was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds. Several premises of one of the agricultural enterprises and farming machinery were also damaged.

In the morning, there were over 50 strikes launched from the territory of the russian federation on the territories of Shalyhine, Vorozhba and Velika Pysarivka communities. Private houses and infrastructure facilities were damaged due to the enemy shelling.

Dmytro Zhivytskyi, Head of the Sumy RMA, said that a terrorist attack was carried out by the russians in Myropillia. The enemy dropped a grenade from a drone near a store in the recreation area where there were many civilians at the time. As a result, a woman – a mother of three children – died due to massive bleeding from shrapnel wounds. After that, the russian military dropped another grenade from a drone on civilians who were trying to help the woman.

The three-week sniper training organized by the command of the Sumy Operational Tactical Group continues in Sumy oblast. Soldiers learn and improve acquired skills in almost ten different locations. They are trained not only to shoot, but also to locate themselves in the terrain, understand tactics, medicine, military topography, camouflage and sniper mountaineering.

The regional employment center reported that since the beginning of the year, more than 8K people have been employed in Sumy oblast. Citizens who have not yet found work are offered paid temporary work being engaged in construction of protective structures, their arrangement, demolition of rubble, gathering firewood for the heating season, repair and restoration work.

The Bilopollia community received two modern solar stations, which are planned to be installed in the Ryzhivka and Obodivka paramedic-midwifery centres. The equipment was purchased thanks to the UNDP project – Civil Society for Development of Democracy and Human Rights in Ukraine – which is implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

About 30 foreign medical students returned to Sumy. They left the city when it was surrounded by russian troops at the beginning of March. According to the management of Sumy State University, there is a shelter in every room where students study.

Chernihiv oblast

The SBGS reported that the border territories of Chernihiv oblast were under enemy fire again. 3 mortar strikes were recorded along the border of the Novhorod-Siverskyi community. The enemy attacked the Horodnia community using various types of weapons – barrel artillery, MLRS, mortars and grenade launchers. As a result of the shelling, a local resident of one of the settlements died from a shrapnel wound.

More than 100 streets and alleys are planned to be renamed in the Snovsk territorial community. All the names planned to be replaced are related to the aggressor state. The city council will collect the residents’ proposals and comments until the end of October, then the approved list will be considered at the sessional meeting.

Dry soup and borscht are cooked by volunteers in Varva in Pryluky regions for Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines. The volunteers of the charity organization Strong Will cook in their spare time. During six weeks, they have made 600 such dry rations, or 3K liters of first courses.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

The occupiers continue to fire heavy artillery at the communities of Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

The enemy hit the Marganets community several times overnight.  A private house, a solar power plant, two businesses were damaged, and one car destroyed.

Head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk informs that after the night shelling, three cars were destroyed in Nikopol, a dozen more damaged. A private house, a workshop, an agricultural enterprise, a parking lot, some shops, a bus, and a power line were also mutilated. 

According to Head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk, five Mavic 3 drones were handed over to the soldiers of the 129th Brigade of Military Intelligence from Kryvyi Rih, who are currently serving in Kherson Oblast.

Vinnytsia oblast

The Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration reports that IDP centers received humanitarian aid from the International Organization for Migration. Zhmerinka, Severynivka, and Khmelny received blankets and mattresses, hygiene kits for all family members, cleaning products and other household items.

Kirovohrad oblast

The charitable tasting of local food was organized for the second time in Kropyvnytskyi. Co-organizer Dmytro Smelniak says they want to make it traditional and this way raise funds for the Armed Forces.

The Department of Civil Protection of the Regional State Administration reports that the first shelter bus stop was set up in Kropyvnytskyi. It was built according to the project of quickly constructed protective structures of civil protection with special reinforced concrete structures in a short period of time.

Poltava oblast

Kremenchuk City Mayor Vitalii Maletskyi reports that during the air alarm siren, the air defense forces shot down several Shahed kamikaze drones. 

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On the night of October 9, russian troops launched a massive missile attack on Zaporizhzhia. Starting at 00:30, six Tu-22M3 bombers operating from the Ryazan airfield and seven Su-35s operating from the Marynivka airfield, Rostov oblast, were detected. Zaporizhzhia was also attacked from the temporarily occupied territories – from Melitopol and Berdiansk regions. Four Kh-22 cruise missiles (from the Tu-22M3) and two Kh-59 guided air missiles (from the Su-35) were launched. In addition, the enemy launched a missile strike using the S-300 system. About 16 rockets were fired at the city’s civilian infrastructure and residential areas.

Dozens of private homes, two apartment buildings and other city civil infrastructure came under enemy fire. As a result of direct rocket hits in the nine-storey building, the residential structure from the ground to the sixth floor was destroyed. The remaining two floors also collapsed when the ruins were dismantled. Rescue and search operations are ongoing, people are being pulled out from under the rubble.

A nearby five-storey building and some other residential buildings were damaged. Their balconies were destroyed by the blast wave, windows broken, facades cut. Cars parked near the epicenter of the missile hits were ignited by the shells explosion. Commercial facilities, office premises, kindergartens, schools and other infrastructure facilities were also damaged.

Currently, 13 people are known to be killed. Another 60 citizens were hospitalized. There are children among the wounded and killed.

Police officers, rescuers, ambulance workers, and employees of specialized services  continue to work at the scene.

Oleksandr Starukh, Head of the Zaporizhzhia RMA, announced that as of October 9, the number of people killed as a result of a missile attack by the russian military on residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia on October 6 has increased to 20, including one child. 

The infrastructure of more than twenty-five settlements was damaged by enemy shelling towards Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, namely Solodke, Zelene Pole, Novosilka, Uhledar, and Pobieda.

More than 20 enemy soldiers were confirmed wounded and taken to the local hospital in Tokmak as a result of the defeat by the Defense Forces.

The occupying forces search and steal private cars in garage cooperatives in the Melitopol region under the guise of searching for and fighting partisans.

Mykolaiv oblast

Ukrainian soldiers destroyed an enemy plane in the sky over Mykolaiv oblast during an attempt to launch an airstrike. According to the report of the South Airborne Command, it was probably a Su-25. The information is being clarified.

2 kamikaze drones tried to attack the Mykolaiv region. The drones were destroyed by the air defense forces.

Tonight, the Bereznehuvate territorial community was under russian fire. Information about damage and victims is being clarified.

The police documented damage to administrative offices, an educational institution, a kindergarten, a post office, and a dispensary after yesterday’s attacks on the Bashtanka community.

34 temporary shelters will be installed in Mykolaiv in all city districts near public transport stops.

Odesa oblast

At noon, the enemy tried to attack Odesa with a Shahed-136 kamikaze drone. The drone was destroyed over the sea by the air defense forces.

The enemy’s naval group in the Black Sea consists of 14 units, which continue maneuvering along the southwestern coast of Crimea. 4 carriers of cruise missiles, including 2 submarines, with a total volley of 24 Kalibr missiles, are among them. Also, 1 enemy landing craft is on duty.

According to the ‘South’ Operational Command, the security situation in Odesa oblast is under control. The defense forces are tasked with combat assignments. There are no signs of offensive groups forming in the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic.

13 ships with 230K tons of Ukrainian food left the ports of Odesa through the ‘grain corridor’. The ships carry agricultural products to the countries of Europe, Africa and Asia.

Odesa tourist guides have developed a free gastro project for internally displaced people. They conduct free gastronomic tours for them in Odesa Privoz. During the excursion, the history of the market is told, followed by a tasting. In general, the excursion lasts about 2.5 hours. All willing IDPs can join it by prior appointment.

Kherson oblast

The situation in the South Buh direction remains tense, but controlled by the Defense Forces. Ukrainian troops continue active combat operations, disrupt the enemy’s management and logistics systems, inflict irreversible losses on manpower and equipment. Since the beginning of active hostilities, the area of the territories liberated from the occupiers in Kherson oblast has increased to 1170 square kilometers.

Enemy units are concentrating their main efforts on holding occupied territories and thwarting our offensive actions. The partial withdrawal of enemy units deep into the occupied territories was recorded. Representatives of the occupation authorities evacuate their families to Crimea. According to the General Staff, the occupiers in Nova Kakhovka are taking their families to the temporarily occupied territory of the Republic of Crimea – on October 7, a convoy of 12 minibuses left for the city of Sevastopol.

At night, the enemy attacked the Defense Forces positions and settlements along the front line with guided missiles from the S-300 system. There were no losses or damage, the rockets hit an open area. The enemy used a pair of Ka-52 attack helicopters in the Beryslav region. No losses are reported.

The Ukrainian aviation launched 10 strikes on the enemy’s strongholds, buildups of manpower, weapons and equipment, air defense systems in Beryslav and Bashtanska regions, Mykolaiv oblast.

Rocket and artillery units completed more than 200 fire missions. As a result, 3 warehouses with ammunition in Kherson and Beryslav regions and 1 control point in Kakhovka were destroyed.

On the morning of October 7, the russian military fired at a convoy of civilian cars in the Kherson region using an unidentified aircraft. The cars were standing in line for a pontoon crossing to the left bank of the Dnipro River near the Daryiv Bridge. The police opened criminal proceedings on violations of the laws and customs of war by the russian military.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Head of the state-owned enterprise Road Service in Volyn Oblast, Anatolii Pospolitak, informed that since the war began, 101 road workers of Volyn oblast have joined the ranks of the Armed Forces and territorial defense forces.

Pensioners and people with disabilities from a geriatric boarding house in Kharkiv oblast were evacuated to Lutsk. Evacuated citizens were sent to the geriatric boarding house for further stay.

Director of the Lutsk Zoo Liudmila Denysenko said that from the private zoo of the de-occupied village of Yampil, Donetsk oblast, a Himalayan bear was evacuated. The animal received a concussion from enemy shelling. Volunteers from Volyn and employees of the Lutsk Zoo also joined the rescue operation.

Students of the Pohuliankiv Gymnasium in the Liubeshiv region received a gift – a flag from Ukrainian defenders at the front line. The national flag contains wishes written by the soldiers, their signatures, and is charged with their indomitable spirit and faith in victory.

Zakarpattia oblast

In Mukachevo, UAH 4 million will be allocated to buy an interactive simulator for shooting to train the territorial defense forces.  In general, over UAH 21 million was provided from the city budget to support the territorial defense fighters within 7 months.

In Berehove, students of the medical college organized a flash mob in support of the Ukrainian military. In the town square, they danced and thanked the military for the peaceful sky above their heads.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

From Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, a car provided by Great Britain  was sent for the military at the front line.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, the charity Frankivsk Half Marathon was held. All proceeds from this year’s race will be donated to support the ASKOLD Special Training Center for military personnel.

Lviv oblast

19 800 people left Ukraine through the checkpoints in Lviv oblast and 19 321 people returned.

In Stryi, a training session on providing pre-medical care for those interested was held. The event was conducted by 8 trainers who showed how to ‘start’ a heart, save a person from suffocation and stop bleeding before an ambulance arrives. The training was arranged under the CPR 4 U project.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne oblast, there is an outflow of IDPs who found refuge in the oblast. People are returning home to de-occupied settlements in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Sumy oblasts.

From Ostroh, humanitarian aid was sent to the soldiers of the 30th brigade. As reported by the Ostroh City Council, the soldiers were provided with clothes, personal hygiene products, food, honey, etc.

Ternopil oblast

Cultural and artistic events were held in Ternopil on the occasion of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks and the Day of Creation of the Ukrainian Rebel Army. Deputy Head of the Ternopil RMA, Viktor Ustenko, presented awards and honors to volunteers of the oblast, who helped the Ukrainian military on the way to victory.

The social project TatoHub started in Ternopil. The project aims to facilitate the image of the father in the family and provide social and psychological rehabilitation to parents who defend Ukraine during the war.

The perinatal center of the Ternopil City Hospital received 1.5 tonnes of medical supplies. The aid was provided by the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine (UNFPA).

In the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Ternopil oblast, a cultural and recreational event called Dad, Mom, I – Sports Family! was held. The families of rescuers and law enforcement officers took part in the event.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The Khmelnytskyi City Council purchased 120 sets of filtering gas masks. A gas mask kit includes a panoramic mask with a combined filter and a bag. The mask and the filter are produced in the Czech Republic, the bag is Ukrainian.

A hub for relocated activists and public organizations was created in Khmelnytskyi – the Anti-Crisis Hub for IDP Activists. The key goal of the hub is to unite organizations and activists for joint activities to help war victims and develop civil society in Ukraine.

Chernivtsi oblast

In Chernivtsi, Lyceum No. 10 hosted a fair where one could buy handmade products and homemade goodies. The collected UAH 42K was donated for purchasing a radio station for the Armed Forces.

At the Cultural and Artistic Center named after Ivan Mykolaichuk, a charity musical evening was held. The collected funds were donated to the needs of the Armed Forces.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Minister of Defense of Slovakia, Yaroslav Nagy, announced the transfer of two new Zuzana2 howitzers. He also emphasized that his country will continue to support Ukrainians in the war against russian terror.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko reported that France transferred over 1K tonnes of aid to Ukraine. Namely, fire and rescue vehicles, ambulances, medical equipment, equipment for rescuers, pontoon crossings, food, etc.

Germany will provide Ukraine with winter uniforms and equipment worth EUR 11 million. The aid will include 100K units of winter uniforms, heated team tents and electric generators.

Canada resumed the Ukrainian training mission in Great Britain as part of the UNIFIER-UK training operation.

Director General of the IAEA, Raphael Grossi, will arrive in Ukraine again after his visit to the russian federation to agree on a nuclear safety protection zone around the occupied ZNPP. Grossi said that the resumption of shelling of the ZNPP, which led to a complete blackout, is “extremely irresponsible.”

A film by Ukrainian artist Daria Puhachova was shown at Piccadilly Square in London. She is now in with a chance of winning a £10,000  prize for art development. This is the only project that represents Ukraine among 30 CIRCA finalists from around the world.

The Slovak police responded to the blowing up of the bridge in Crimea. “A referendum was held on the Kerch bridge. 99.7% of the bridge decided to join the sea,” the law enforcement officers wrote on Facebook.
