The enemy continues armed aggression against our state. It tries to hold the temporarily captured territories, concentrates its efforts on restraining the actions of the Defence Forces, carries out engineering equipment of defensive lines, continues to conduct offensive operations in certain areas, moves personnel, weapons and military equipment to the areas of hostilities.

During the day, the russian occupiers carried out 2 airstrikes, 16 MLRS attacks on the positions of our troops and civilian objects.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.

In the Siversk direction in the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions, the enemy continues to perform the task of covering the section of the russian-Ukrainian border, conducting demonstration and provocative actions. The areas of the settlements of Hai, Khrinivka and Yasna Polyana in Chernihiv oblast and Basivka and Seredyna-Buda in Sumy region were shelled with artillery.

In Sloboda direction, from the border areas of the Bilhorod region, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Huryiv, Strilecha, Lyptsi, Zelene, Starytsa, Ohirtseve, Fiholivka, and Dvorichna in the Kharkiv oblast with mortars, barrel and rocket artillery. An enemy strike UAV was operating in the area of ​​Zelene settlement.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the occupiers shelled the districts of Berestove, Andriivka, Kurylivka, Kupiansk, and Kislivka of the Kharkiv oblast; Ploschanka and Makiivka in Luhansk oblast and Yampolivka and Toretsk in Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions, the invaders are concentrating their main efforts on conducting offensive actions. Enemy shelling of objects in the areas of Bilohorivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, New York, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Opytne, Marinka and Krasnohorivka settlements of the Donetsk oblast was recorded. The enemy also carried out airstrikes near Spirne, Nevelsky and Kamianka.

In Novopavlivsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, the occupiers are defending the previously captured lines. Areas of Oleksandropil, Novobakhmutivka, Velyka Novosilka, Vuhledar, Vremivka, and Zolota Nyva settlements in the Donetsk oblast and Zeleniy Hay, Dorozhnianka, Orihiv, Shcherbaki, and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia oblast were affected by the fire.

In the Kryvyi Rih and Kherson directions, the enemy is improving the fortification equipment and logistical support of the advanced unit. Artillery of various calibers for shelling of Prydnipryanske, Dnipropetrovsk oblast was used. Mykhailivka, Kachkarivka, Mylovo, Zmiivka, Ivanivka, Antonivka and Chornobayivka in the Kherson oblast and the city of Kherson itself were also hit. 

According to available information, the enemy intensified counter-sabotage and police measures in the temporarily occupied territories of the Skadovsky district of Kherson oblast due to the effective fire damage to the objects of the russian occupation forces. In the settlements of Novomykolaivka and Krasne, on November 22 of this year, the occupiers checked the houses, telephones and documents of local residents.

During the current day, the aviation of the Defense Forces made 12 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the enemy and 2 hits on the positions of enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

The Head of the President Office Andrii Yermak informed that 50 Ukrainian soldiers returned home. Among them are 20 national guard soldiers, 12 marines, 10 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 6 border guards and 2 territorial defense fighters. 19 Mariupol defenders, 12 of whom were evacuated from Azovstal, 15 prisoners from the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and 7 – from the Zmiinyi Island were freed. 

Ukrnenerho informed that 50% of consumers are connected to power in the whole country. The significant number of thermal and electrothermal power stations are operational, the nuclear plants are gradually gaining power, except Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Critical infrastructure facilities, gas distribution networks, water pipelines, treatment facilities, hospital, are being powered. Consumers are being connected to power. All regions of Ukraine experienced the consequences of yesterday’s attack.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of this morning, the invaders shelled 15 settlements. A combat drone was used to attack Kharkiv oblast. At least 13 settlements were attacked.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that there are still issues with power supply in the region due to emergency blackouts. Experts continue to restore power lines. In the near future, the majority of residents will be connected to electricity.

The invaders shelled Vovchansk, damaging a residential building and injuring a 66-year-old man.

145 Kharkiv residents got stuck in elevators yesterday due to a russian attack on the Ukrainian power grid. Kharkivhorlift emergency crews helped everyone.

Yesterday the enemy continued shelling the settlements of the region close to the front line. Yesterday afternoon residential buildings were damaged and fires broke out in Dvorichna settlement and Kupiansk city of Kupiansk district due to the shelling.

In Morokhovets village of Kharkiv district, a 52-year-old man got a shrapnel wound as a result of russian shelling.

Donetsk oblast

After a complete blackout last night, electricity and heating are being restored in Donetsk oblast, water is being supplied to apartments and houses again. On November 23, russians shelled the country’s energy infrastructure facilities. A total blackout lasted for several hours in the region.

The Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom, referring to intelligence data, assumed that over the past two weeks russia has redeployed major units to Donetsk and Luhansk directions in Donbas.

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that 117 invincibility centres are operating in Donetsk oblast. In total, 158 are planned to be installed. These centres work around the clock.

The invaders launched another missile attack on Donetsk oblast, this time on Toretsk. The enemy missile completely destroyed Myr kindergarten.

Head of Sloviansk City Military Administration, Vadym Liakh, reported about the shelling. The city lost power. There were no casualties. The scope of destruction and damage is currently being established.

In Lyman community, rescuers together with forestry workers began to inspect and clean the forests. About 6000 hectares of forests were damaged on the territory of Lyman forestry.

Head of the Donetsk RMA, Pavlo Kyrylenko, said that yesterday russians killed 2 civilians in Bakhmut. 3 people were injured.

Based on the information provided by Pokrovsk City Military Administration, residents can receive UAH 80K to repair their homes destroyed by shelling. This is a city program, the money is paid from the city budget.

Luhansk oblast

In Lyman direction, russians are defending and cynically shelling Bilohorivka, Makiivka, Novoselivske, Ploshchanka and Stelmakhivka with tanks, mortars and barrel artillery.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that russian troops are trying to break through the defence without success and are attacking the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Bilohorivka, throwing new forces into the offensive. In another direction of the frontline in Luhansk oblast, Svatove-Kreminna, the initiative remains on the side of Ukrainian servicemen. According to him, the invaders mobilised almost all men under the age of 60 from Khmelnytskyi settlement in one day. The situation is the same in nine other villages of Dovzhansk region.

According to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the invaders continue to forcibly relocate pro-Ukrainian residents. Under the guise of counter-sabotage actions last week, about 20 local farmers were taken from Denezhnykove and Shtormove settlements of Novoaidar community. Meanwhile, in Starobilsk region, the invaders continue to search homes.

At the Luhastal enterprise, the volume of production fell by half due to a shortage of labourforce. A significant number of employees were mobilised this year. In addition, at least four hospitals in the city are overcrowded with injured russians, including the so-called “republican” hospital. There are not enough rooms for hospitalisation in Antratsyt, Lutuhyne and Starobilsk. In each of these cities there are hundreds of injured partially mobilised russians.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Director of the Center for Energy Research, Oleksandr Kharchenko, reported on the air of Kyiv TV channel that the Kyiv network was severely damaged by a russian missile attack on November 23. The most difficult situation is in Desnianskyi district. He noted that critical infrastructure is now fixed and water supply restored. Podilskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, Solomianskyi, Sviatoshynskyi and partially Obolonskyi districts still remain at low pressure.

The results of losses following russian shelling of Kyiv oblast on November 23 are summarized. 35 people were injured as a result of a missile attack in Vyshhorod. 5 people were killed – 4 men and 1 woman. One person’s head was torn off by a fragment when he was on the balcony. Bodies were found by police both outside and inside the house. 4 buildings and an educational institution were damaged. In total, 8 buildings were damaged and 41 people injured in Kyiv oblast as a result of enemy shelling. The head of Kyiv Regional Police does not deny that russians targeted Ukrainian homes, as they were directly hit by the missile, and critical energy infrastructure facilities are located at a considerable distance.

The Department of Municipal Security of Kyiv City State Administration informed that in the districts of Kyiv where there is no electricity supply, the air raid warning will be carried out using mechanical warning signals. Specifically, with the help of loudspeakers of the patrol brigades of the National Police and the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv.

Kyiv Mayor, Vitalii Klychko, said in his telegram channel that Kyiv City Council approved the decision to award former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson with the title of Honorary Citizen of Kyiv. Klychko called Johnson a great friend of Ukraine. He noted: “Boris has frequently visited the Ukrainian capital – both in peace and in the most dramatic times of our fight against russian aggressor. Johnson has done and, I am convinced, will continue to do everything possible for the UK and world leaders to provide the necessary assistance to Ukraine”.

Kyiv social psychologists are finishing a psychosocial support for defenders’ training course, held by city authorities and Israel in Ukraine together with the MASHAV agency. The training is based on Israeli methods, but taking into account our mentality. In addition, psychologists visit places in Israel that often suffer from shelling and have learned to live in such conditions to better and deeper understand the methods of working with victims.

Zhytomyr oblast

Head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Bunechko, announced that last night, on November 23, power engineers of Zhytomyr oblast managed to restore electricity supply to almost 400K people. But today, on November 24, due to the need to balance the country’s energy system, Ukrenerho NPC has imposed additional restrictions, due to which the number of consumers disconnected from the network has doubled to more than 500K. Vitalii Bunechko noted: “We are gradually providing power to critical infrastructure. Now perhaps we are the last to connect the critical infrastructure of Radomyshl and Yemilchyne communities. Half of the residents of the region do not have electricity. According to Ukrenerho JSC, they will gradually give permission to turn on the power, and we will go back to the schedule of emergency blackouts, because now it is happening outside the previously informed schedule”.

The City Council reported that 13 generators from the Polish sister city, Bełchatów, were delivered to Novohrad-Volynskyi this morning. They will be able to ensure the operation of invincibility centres and some individual boiler houses, which will provide heat to the premises of the centres and some educational institutions. Currently, specialists are already installing them. To buy the generators, Bełchatów community sent almost PLN 100K and donated them for the urgent needs of the community.

Sumy oblast

Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, reported that the enemy shelled two border communities in Sumy oblast. The invaders shelled Seredyna-Buda community with self-propelled artillery. There were 15 hits. Two private buildings, an outbuilding and a fence were damaged. Khotyn and Yunakivka communities were shelled with artillery – 5 hits each.

There were emergency blackouts in Sumy and the region due to another attack of russian aviation, which led to the destruction of critical infrastructure and due to wind gusts and glaciation of power lines. Currently, power supply has been restored in 48 out of 51 communities.

Sumyoblenerho JSC reported that in Sumy oblast, schedules of hourly blackouts have been introduced. In Sumy, the schedule “2 in 6” will be in effect: two hours with and two without electricity. In the region – “2 in 4”.

Yesterday, Krolevets resident, Vladyslav Soloviov, returned from captivity. This became possible as a result of another exchange on November 23, during which 35 servicemen and one civilian were released. The conscript fighter from Krolevets defended Azovstal and was in enemy captivity for more than six months.

Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that in Sumy oblast, 149 Invincibility Centres started operating. Most of the points are in administrative buildings. There are also two mobile tents of the State Emergency Service in Sumy, and one such point operates in each district of the region. Residents can keep warm, charge gadgets, drink hot tea – all these services are provided free of charge. Yesterday, more than 800 residents of the region used them.

In Sumy Children’s Hospital, three operations were performed during the blackout throughout the city. According to hospital staff, the institution was ready for emergency shutdowns.

Dobrota Trostianets Charitable Foundation said that two families received assistance for the heating season from a German philanthropist. The woman bought three carloads of firewood from the local forestry, two of which were delivered to the mother of 6 children who lost their father in the war, and one to the mother of a deceased soldier.

Chernihiv oblast

Spokeswoman of the Chernihiv border guard detachment, Halyna Shekhovtsova, reported that yesterday, the invaders shelled Novhorod-Siverskyi with mortars in the afternoon. The Yasna Poliana settlement was under fire. There were 9 explosions. Hai border village was shelled twice.

Based on the information provided by the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, Chernihiv oblast, like other regions of the country, was de-energized as a result of massive missile strikes on energy facilities. By the morning, electricity was restored to most residents. Korop, Kozelets, Novhorod-Siverskyi and Semenivka communities remained without power supply. Restoration works continue.

Chernihivvodokanal municipal enterprise informed that in the morning, water supply in Chernihiv was completely restored, which was disrupted due to the lack of electricity.

Chernihivoblenerho said that in Chernihiv oblast, there will be an intensified schedule of blackouts “three in six”: three hours with light and six – without.

Head of the City Education Department, Vasyl Bilohura, announced that schools and kindergartens in Chernihiv will not work until November 28. According to him, this decision is related to the shelling of energy infrastructure on November 23. Further work schedule of these institutions will be determined on November 27.

Volunteers in Lukashivka settlement of Chernihiv region will rebuild a house for a family whose house was destroyed by the invaders at the beginning of the war. Building Ukraine Together (BUT) public organisation organises a youth camp to rebuild the house and calls on everyone to help.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk, Marhanets community in Nikopol region has been shelled from heavy artillery all night long and morning.

653 miners who were underground during yesterday’s blackout in Kryvyi Rih, as well as  more than 2,000 mine workers in the Pavlograd district were rescued. In Dnipropetrovsk oblast, 12 invincibility centres operate in tents deployed by rescuers. Their addresses are announced through loudspeakers of patrol cars.

Vinnytsia oblast

There is a free English language club for internally displaced persons in Vinnytsia. The course is designed for any level of knowledge.

Invincibility centres were set up in Vinnytsia. They are arranged on the basis of city municipal institutions – schools, libraries, youth clubs. They will function around the clock.

Kirovohrad oblast

17 mobile invincibility centres were set up in Kirovohrad oblast. People can use electricity, mobile communication and the Internet there. According to Head of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration Andrii Raikovych, there was an emergency power outage after 17:00 in Kropyvnytskyi. 

Poltava oblast

Oleh Lednyka, head of the Kremenchuk RMA, reported the destruction in the village of Yalyntsi as a result of airstrike on Kremenchuk district yesterday. Two houses were completely destroyed and 16 damaged.

Cherkasy oblast

Head of the Cherkasy State Administration Ihor Taburets informs that 145 invincibility centres were set up in Cherkasy oblast. Electricity, heating, drinking water, food and essential medicines are provided there to support the population in case of a prolonged blackout.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The situation towards Zaporizzhia has not changed significantly. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied borders.

The occupiers shelled the civilian infrastructure in settlements of Znachkove, Charivne, Malynivka, Shcherbaky, Shevchenko, Zaliznychne, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Dorozhnianka, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Shevchenkovo, Olhivske, Chervone, Heliaipole, Orikhiv, Kamianske. The police received 14 reports about the destruction of houses (apartments) and infrastructure objects as a result of shelling by russian military personnel.

This morning, November 24, the Zaporizhzhia NPP was powered for its own needs from the energy system of Ukraine. This was announced by the president of Enerhoatom Petro Kotin. The temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant has not been operating since September. Yesterday, as a result of the russian attack, the station went into total blackout mode. This morning, electricity was supplied to the station from the Ukrainian power system. All diesel generators are turned off and put on duty.

Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo has eliminated the consequences of yesterday’s blackout, caused by another russian attack on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure. As of 07:00 on November 24, 26,113 consumers in 72 settlements of Zaporizhzhia oblast remain without power supply (with the exception of Vasylivska, Mykhailivska, Berdyansk, Prymorske, Melitopol, Yakymivka, Vesele, Tokmak, Kamianka-Dniprovska, Bilmak and Rozivka region offices). Most of the consumers were connected to the power grid before the evening. However, the emergency and restoration work did not stop even at night. In total, the energy companies restored the energy supply to 366 thousand families and legal entities consuming electricity.

Residents of temporarily occupied Melitopol report about at least 3 powerful explosions in the southern part of the city. According to the mayor of the city, Ivan Fedorov, there was a hit at the airfield.

Mykolaiv oblast

It was relatively calm in the city of Mykolaiv, Pervomaisk, Voznesensk and Bashtanka regions. Only one community suffered from russian shelling. Yesterday, November 23, at around 12:30, the enemy struck the water area of Ochakiv community with anti-aircraft missiles. According to Mykolaiv RMA, there are no casualties.

On November 24, a mine explosion was recorded in the freed Snihurivka community in Mykolayiv oblast. One employee of the State Emergency Service was killed and one wounded.

The Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons teams are looking for burials left after the russian occupation in the liberated territories of Mykolaiv and Kherson oblast. As of November 24, experts have checked 50 locations and identified almost 200 bodies.

The head of Mykolayiv RMA Vitalii Kim announced the gradual restoration of electricity supply in the region. According to him, a voltage of 84 mW was agreed upon in Mykolayiv oblast. He also published a list of heating points in Mykolaiv indicating the number of places in his Telegram channel.

Mykolaiv received a unique high-tech sewer cleaning machine. This was announced by the mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Sienkevych. Thanks to this machine, the employees of Mykolaivvodokanal will be able to efficiently and quickly clean the city sewer network from silt and garbage. The equipment was provided by the German community, which has been helping the city of Mykolaiv since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Odesa oblast

50 Ukrainian soldiers returned from russian captivity on November 24. Among those released are three border guards defending the Zmiinyi (Snake) Island.

In the morning of November 24, ten out of eleven large boiler houses in Odesa resumed their work. However, most of the smaller boiler houses are not operational due to lack of electricity supply. The CHP operates normally. 64% of residents remain without electricity in Odesa oblast. There are emergency shutdowns in the region. This was reported by the press service of the city council.

DTEK Odesa Electric Network prepares the entire energy system of the city and region for winter, including the help of “Mobile Brigades”. The Odesa region’s energy industry has already prepared 90% of the region’s energy infrastructure for the autumn-winter period. This became possible, among other things, with the help of the introduction of a new IT solution in the company, the “Mobile Brigades” software complex, which allows abandoning unnecessary paperwork. It means that repairs can be carried out faster. Preparation of energy facilities continues, because the goal is to provide customers with a stable electricity supply, especially during the cold season.

Kherson oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informs that russian troops shelled Mykhailivka, Kachkarivka, Mylova, Zmiivka, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Chornobaivka and Kherson with various caliber artillery.

On November 24, the russian military shelled Kherson 17 times. As of 3 p.m., it was reported about one killed person and one wounded person. In the morning, the russian military hit one of the invincibility centres located in a kindergarten. There were also hits on houses in the private sector. There are no casualties. In total, from November 20 to 24, 62 hits were recorded in the city, 8 people were killed, 64 injured.

According to available information, the occupiers have intensified police measures in the Skadovsk region. Specifically, on November 22, houses, telephones and documents of local residents were checked in Novomykolaivka and Krasne.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The 100th Brigade of Territorial Defense of Volyn reported that Volyn residents were forbidden to drive on non-main roads in a 5-kilometer zone near the belarusian border.

Volyn received only 60 megawatts of the required 350 megawatts, so electricity was supplied only to important facilities. After increasing the capacity limits, it was possible to additionally restore electricity supply to 60K consumers. Approximately 309K remain without voltage.

In Lutsk, the invincibility centres welcomed first visitors. While there is no electricity in the city, people come here to charge their phones, warm up and drink warm tea.

As a result of the exchange of prisoners, 4 Volyn residents returned home, namely Volodymyr Nesteruk, Oleksandr Prorochek, Stepan Voevoda, Viktor Rybkovskyi. These are National Guardsmen captured at the ZNPP in the first days of the invasion. They have been waiting 8 months to return home.

Zakarpattia oblast

In Zakarpattia oblast, except emergency and hourly power outages, the 1st round of the special schedule of emergency outages is also applied.

Service specialists eliminate the consequences of enemy shelling and do everything possible to restore light in the homes of Ukrainians. The RMA advised residents to stock up on water, charge phones, power banks, flashlights, etc.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Emergency shutdown schedules, hourly shutdown schedules and special emergency power shutdown schedules were simultaneously introduced in the oblast as instructed by Ukrenerho.

“As soon as the light disappears for over 24 hours, in educational institutions, communal enterprises there will be places where everyone can shelter and drink hot tea,” said Head of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv.

Lviv oblast

On November 23, during an air alert, the enemy launched two missile strikes at an electrical substation in Lviv oblast. These were missiles launched from long-range aircraft from the eastern direction. This facility has been attacked before. As a result of yesterday’s strikes, the substation suffered critical damage, as a result of which 1.5 million subscribers of the oblast were left without electricity.

Lvivoblenergo reported that in Lviv oblast, 75% of the population has been cut off in an emergency.

The RMA reported that 45 invincibility centres were deployed in Lviv oblast.

During the 104th Congress of Mayors and Presidents of French Agglomerations, Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovy, met with the President of France Emmanuel Macron. They discussed support and cooperation in wartime.

Three Lviv IT companies joined the purchase of equipment to provide Wi-Fi in the shelters of 25 city educational institutions. This is the first stage of the project  implementation to ensure high-quality Internet connection in school shelters. Gradually, all school shelters in the community will be equipped with access points.

In Lviv, training for representatives of 19 public organizations from different regions of Ukraine, protecting children with disabilities, was held. The event took place within the project of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Dzherelo center to unite and support such organizations.

The Lviv RMA will cooperate with the Mercy Corps. During the meeting they discussed helping relocated businesses of Lviv oblast and supporting IDPs.

The RMA reported that books were collected in Lviv oblast to be transferred to the Ukrainian library in Gdansk (Poland). In two weeks, they hoped to collect 1K books, and thanks to the active residents of the oblast, they managed to collect over 2.5K.

One of the youngest benefactors, a 9-year-old Solomiyka Galan, visited the Lviv Defense Cluster. For the second time, the girl donated funds to transfer them to production of body armor for the Defenders of Ukraine. Solomiyka paints pictures and together with her mother organizes charity auctions. This time she donated UAH 21K.

In Lviv oblast, during the emergency power outage, they continued to load humanitarian aid only by the light of headlights, because they are waiting for it in Kherson oblast. Two trucks with food and water went to Kherson oblast. In addition, two buses were sent to serve local residents.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne, a report was received about the regional hospital mining. Workers and staff were evacuated from the medical facility. All relevant services arrived at the scene. No dangerous items were found.

Head of the Rivne RMA, Vitaliy Koval announced that among 36 released prisoners are military from Rivne oblast.

Mayor of Rivne, Oleksandr Tretyak, reported that the authorities of Rivne allocated almost UAH 70 million for the purchase of generators for shelters and heating points. Another part of such equipment will be received as humanitarian aid.

The Rivne City Council agreed to compensate part of the cost of generators for condominiums and management companies. At the same time, deputies set certain limits on the compensation amount.

Rivneelektroavtotrans reported that trolleybuses in Rivne will not run temporarily due to the unstable operation of the power grid.

Ternopil oblast

The RMA reported that 101 invincibility centres have been deployed in Ternopil oblast.

A dormitory for IDPs was renovated in Ternopil oblast. Using the state budget funds, repairs were made there, washing machines, refrigerators and furniture were purchased, there is heat and hot water. In total, the hostel can accommodate 400 people. Currently, 75 people live there.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA reported that another 36 Ukrainians were returned home from russian captivity, three of them are from Khmelnytskyi.

In Khmelnytskyi, Managing municipal companies (MMC) purchased one and a half hundred generators for residents of high-rise buildings. The generators are designed for recharging phones and power banks. All MMCs have developed an algorithm for when and to which locations they will be transported if there is no light for more than a day.

Chernivtsi oblast

Head of the RMA, Ruslan Zaparanyuk, announced that for uninterrupted power supply of critical infrastructure facilities, the oblast has 72 generators in the State Emergency Service. There are 303 backup power sources in communal facilities of the oblast’s communities. Over 200 generators work in commercial institutions, namely banks, gas stations, pharmacies, shops, etc. Chernivtsi oblast received 44 generators from partners over the last month. Communities plan to purchase 48 generators in the near future. All hospitals of the oblast are provided with uninterrupted power sources.

In Chernivtsi, by the decision of the city council, servicemen are exempted from paying rent for communally owned property. This decision also applies to native military personnel. In addition, a 50% discount has been established for businesses during martial law on the basis of the tenant’s application, except for certain types of activities.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The European Parliament supported the provision of EUR 18 billion of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.

The US allocated $400 million in military aid to Ukraine. The new aid package will include ammunition for NASAMS and HIMARS, large-caliber anti-drone machine guns, artillery and mortar shells, high-speed anti-radiation missiles, high-mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicles, tactical vehicles, generators, and spare parts for equipment.

Hungary approved financial assistance to Ukraine in the amount of EUR 187 million as its contribution to the planned support package of the EU in the amount of up to EUR 18 billion in 2023.

After the latest russian shelling, Minister of Defense of Poland, Blaszczak, asked Germany to hand over Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine, which it had previously offered to Poland to strengthen its air defense.

Minister of Defense of Canada, Anita Anand, reported that Ukrainian sappers began a specialized training course in Poland, where they are trained by the Canadian military.

Minister of Defense of Germany, Christine Lambrecht, announced that Germany plans to train 5K Ukrainian soldiers by summer.
