War in Ukraine today: latest news, November 22, 2022 (photo)

It has been the 272nd day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

Russia continues the armed aggression against Ukraine. Occupiers are trying to hold the temporarily occupied territories, focus their efforts on restraining the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and erect defensive constructions. They are conducting offensive operations in certain directions and aerial reconnaissance. To re-man the units and replace the losses, the enemy is relocating the personnel and equipment to the areas of hostilities.

The enemy launched 15 multi rocket launcher strikes on our positions and settlements

The situation didn’t significantly change towards Volyn and Polissia. No signs of forming attack military groups were recorded. 

The republic of belarus continues to support the russian armed aggression against Ukraine by providing it with its infrastructure, territory and air space. Ukraine is still under the threat of missile and air strikes, including using attack UAVs from the territory and air space of belarus. 

Towards Siversk the enemy shelled with multi rocket launchers the settlement Kustyne, Sumy oblast.

Towards Sloboda, there are troops stationed in the border areas of Belgorod region intended for simulated warfare operations. The invaders periodically shell our troops’ positions as well as settlements of Kharkiv oblast close to the state border of Ukraine. 

Towards Kupiansk and Lyman the enemy is on the defensive and fires from tanks, mortars and barrels at at the settlements of Kyslivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove, Kharkiv oblast, as well as Makiivka and Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka, the enemy is conducting the offensive operations. Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klischiivka, Zelenopillia, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske and Nevelske were shelled with tanks and artillery. 

Towards Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, the enemy shelled the positions of Ukrainian troops with tanks and all types of artillery. The russian artillery fired at10 settlements, including Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia oblast. 

Towards Kryvyi Rih and Kherson, the enemy is on the defensive, improves defensive constructions and logistics to the front lines, shells the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements on the right bank of the Dnipro from artillery.  The enemy used barrels and rockets to fire at the settlement of Mariivka, Dnipropetrovsk oblast, as well as Tokarivka, Antonivka, Dniprovske, Kherson oblast the the city of Kherson. 

In the city of Yenakiieve, Donetsk oblast, forcibly mobilized citizens are being trained to join the russian forces. Military instructors are stationed in the premises of the local polytechnical college where classes for students are being held at the same time. 

In the temporarily occupied Debaltseve, to build up the military forces, separate units are being relocated from Chechen republic and from Wagner private military company.

Moreover, separate units are being re-grouped at the settlement of Molochansk, Zaporizhzhia oblast. Based on the available information, some positions as well as checkpoints were abandoned. 

The air defense forces of Ukraine launched 2 strikes on the buildup of manpower, equipment and weapons of the enemy. 

The press service of the Ministry of Reintegration reported that in close collaboration of the Authorized representative of missing persons Oleh Kotenko and a number of law enforcement agencies, 33 bodies of military men were returned to Ukraine. In total, since the office of the Authorized representative started operating, 696 bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers were returned to Ukraine. 

According to the Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, more electricity is being consumed due to cold weather, hence new emergency blackouts might be applied. 70 repair crews, notably 100 qualified experts, are restoring the power grids crippled by russian missiles and drones. 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, settlements in Kupiansk district were attacked. The enemy is defending, shelling from tanks, mortars and barrel artillery. Specifically, near Lozova and Orlianske. In Belgorod region, russian federation continues to keep a group of troops for simulated warfare operations. The invaders are shelling the border of Kharkiv oblast.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that over the past week, 84 tons of food and 7600 food sets were delivered to the settlements of the region. Convoys of the regional humanitarian headquarters went to Chuhuiv, Derhachi, Mala Danylivka, Kupiansk, Sakhnovshchyna and Vysokyi communities. Regional medical institutions received 23 tons of food. This week humanitarian cargoes have already been delivered to 8 communities: Bohodukhiv, Krasnohrad, Kupiansk, Liubotyn, Novopokrovka, Novo Vodolaha,  Solonytsivka and Zachepylivka.

The invaders continue to shell with artillery and MRLs at the settlements of the frontline districts. After 5 pm, the invaders struck Vovchansk with MRLs. As a result of hitting the residential sector, a 57-year-old woman and a 60-year-old man were hospitalized with injuries, their condition is average.

The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Kharkiv oblast reported that around 21 pm, russians hit Chuhuiv with rockets. A two-storey private building was damaged, garage, outbuildings and several cars destroyed. There were no casualties. Rescuers checked the shelling site.

The mine danger remains high. In Pryshyb village, Izium district, a 50-year-old man stepped on a mine and was killed on the spot.

Pyrotechnics defused 122 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

Chasiv Yar and Toretsk were under russian fire; there were no casualties. In Chasiv Yar, there were two hits in Skhidnyi district, 2 people were injured and 4 houses damaged. In Toretsk, there was a direct hit to an apartment building, warehouses were also damaged.

Enemy troops launched 4 missile strikes on the infrastructure facility in Kramatorsk. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

Avdiivka suffered the most in Donetsk direction: there were isolated attacks at night and massive artillery shelling of downtown in the morning. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

In Horlivka direction, it was loud at Maiorsk station of Svitlodarsk community, near Bakhmutske, Paraskoviivka, Rozdolivka and Yakovlivka in Soledar community and on the outskirts of Toretsk community. There was no information about the victims.

In Lysychansk direction, there was another massive shelling of Torske and Zarichne in Lyman community. The aftermath is being established.

Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, said that russians killed 4 civilians in Bakhmut, Heorhiivka, Kurakhove and Petrivka. 4 people were injured.

Chairman of Donetskoblhaz Board, Vadym Batii, reported that in Kostiantynivka and Kramatorsk specialists started connecting residential buildings to gas supply. First, they will connect apartment buildings without centralized heat supply.

Luhansk oblast

The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that Luhansk Regional Prosecutor’s Office opened a criminal case on the fact of treachery during the surrender of russian servicemen in Makiivka. Those servicemen, imitating the surrender to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, opened fire on the Ukrainian defenders. The Prosecutor’s Office said that such actions are prohibited by international humanitarian law.

Based on the information provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 

our servicemen repelled another attack of the invaders near Stelmakhivka yesterday. At Kupiansk and Lyman directions the enemy is holding the line, firing from tanks, mortars and barrel artillery, specifically in Makiivka, Novoselivske, Ploshchanka and Stelmakhivka.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that the situation remains difficult, however, in Kreminna and Svatove, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are gradually moving forward. According to him, our defenders repel russian attacks near Bilohorivka every day.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

An assistant to the “Minister of Internal Affairs of the LPR” was detained in Kyiv oblast. He was involved in seizing of the SSU office building in Luhansk in 2014 and helped the occupiers during the fake referendum. According to the SSU, the detainee used to be the commander of an assault unit of the “special rapid response squad” with the call sign Sotyi. He faces up to 15 years in prison.

The Security Service of Ukraine is conducting searches in the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra Monastery in cooperation with the National Police and the National Guard. They are checking the information about the monastery premises being used to hide saboteurs and seek to counter destabilizing activities of russian special services in Ukraine.

Oleksiy Kuleba, head of the Kyiv RMA, reported that heating centers are operating in a test mode and will be gradually opened in all communities of the oblast, as needed. There are warm clothes and blankets, food and water supplies, and first aid kits there. At some locations there are play areas for children, and everyone can participate in weaving camouflage nets and making trench candles.

According to the Kyiv RMA, all educational institutions of Kyiv oblast can resume classes in person and mixed formats. The lessons have been held remotely since November 16 due to the barrage of missile attacks by russia the day before.

As reported in the city council, owners of damaged and destroyed housing in Bucha community will receive financial aid. The amount of financial assistance is UAH
2 220 per month for each family member and is paid once for a period of three months.

5 powerful generators were delivered to Bucha by the Lithuanian city of Palanga. This is not the first assistance that the community receives from the Lithuanian sister city. All generators will be installed this week at critical infrastructure facilities.

Almost 300 people have already joined the “Restoration Army” in Kyiv oblast. According to the regional employment center, the relevant agreements on  organization and payment of public works have been concluded with 25 communal enterprises of the region. Public works to improve communities during martial law are aimed at restoring infrastructure. It is also a source of income for people who have lost their jobs.

A new plaque dedicated to Jose Andres, the founder of the charity organization World Central Kitchen, was opened on the Alley of Courage in Kyiv. From the first days of the full-scale invasion until now, WCK has been helping Ukraine, preparing more than 200 thousand meals a day for Ukrainians. The President of Ukraine awarded Jose with the Order of Merit of the II degree.

In Horenka, people are still living in the house half destroyed by russians, where Banksy made one of his graffities. They live in the house without electricity, heating and water. The famous street artist Banksy left 7 graffiti on the ruins of Horenka, Irpin, Borodianka, Hostomel and in downtown Kyiv, their photos spread all over the world.

Zhytomyr oblast

The sports and patriotic movement of the Sokil Society is being revived in Malyn community. Volyn gymnastic society “Sokil” was established in Zhytomyr oblast in the beginning of the XX century, but was liquidated due to repressions of the Stalinist regime. About three dozen children have joined the “Sokil” movement in Malyn, some of whom recently visited Zhytomyr to hold training sessions together with volunteers from the Czech Republic.

Artists from Zhytomyr created a mural in Kupiansk, Kharkiv oblast. The logos of Zhytomyr and Kupiansk were painted during a trip to the liberated town together with volunteers. They worked for two days, even during the curfew and under the sound of rocket and artillery shelling.

Zhytomyr RMA reported that French investors from Champs Elysees LLC will send 14 electric generators to the institutions of Zhytomyr oblast, which provided shelter to IDPs from the combat areas. This is not their first assistance. Philanthropists have already sent body armor, helmets, medical supplies, drones, portable radios and generators for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Sumy oblast

The State Border Guard Service reported that over the past 24 hours, around 100 shells have been fired from mortars, self-propelled artillery systems, and MLRS on the territory of Sumy oblast. The russian terrorists shelled 4 territorial communities – Hlukhiv, Seredyno-Buda, Khotin, and Znob-Novhorodske. The community hall, private houses, and outbuildings were damaged. Power line was damaged in the north of the oblast due to shelling.

Znob-Novgorodske and Esman communities were shelled at night. According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, in total, the enemy fired 86 shells and mortar rounds across the border areas. As a result, a residential building was destroyed.

Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, the head of Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported that a meeting was held with the Ambassador of Sweden in Ukraine Tobias Thyberg and United Nations Resident Coordinator Denise Brown. They discussed preparation for winter, energy security, and humanitarian assistance to IDPs.

Sumy took part in providing humanitarian aid to Kherson. The local government received 50 units of equipment: computers, laptops, printers, and multifunctional devices.

Over 170 new IDPs have been registered in Sumy over the past week. The Department of Social Protection reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 20 397 people have registered in the city.

The city council reported that 4 “invincibility hubs” are being arranged in the premises of educational institutions in Trostianets. Those are the shelters where one can warm up, get hot drinks and food, charge a phone, and use the Internet. These hubs are designed to be used in case of critical situations during the war.

Shostka is working to increase the number of heating centers. In addition, the community arranges “emergency baskets” in elevators of apartment buildings in case of blackouts. These baskets include water, biscuits, disposable cups, heart medications, and wet wipes.

Bugryn community received four three-phase generators worth 62K zlotys from Poland. According to the village council, the generators will help to survive the crisis. They will provide additional electricity for municipal institutions and water supply for the community.

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Guard Service reported that Semenivka community was attacked. There were 17 explosions fired from barrel artillery.

Photo exhibition “Eyes of Donbas children” opened in Chernihiv. Children’s eyes look intently at the viewer from the photos. These photos were taken in the frontline areas of Donetsk oblast, which are subject to daily shelling. More than 30 children took part in creation of the works, the oldest of them is 10 years old, the youngest – 2. These children witnessed everything that war brings.

The third charity art event in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was held in Pryluky, organized by creative groups from Mala Divytsia, Antonivka, and Manzhosivka. The concert took place despite the power outage in the community, thanks to generators and fuel prepared in advance. Almost 30K hryvnias were raised in Onyshchenky to support Ukrainian soldiers.

An interesting event #ЖМУзаЗСУ (‘Pumping iron for the Armed Forces’) takes place in Koriukivka. This event promotes a healthy lifestyle and at the same time is aimed at helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The idea is that a person makes a donation of at least 100 UAH or more to help the Ukrainian military, and then records his push-ups on video and uploads it. After that, one must pass the baton to their friends.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, the head of regional council, informed that Marhanets community in Nikopol region was shelled several times from heavy artillery and Grad MRLS with 60 shells overnight.  

A large international Congress of Mayors is underway in Paris (France). Mayor of Dnipro Borys Filatov took part in a special panel organized in support of Ukraine and said that after the full-scale russian invasion, the city remains a key humanitarian hub of the country, which has welcomed the largest number of internally displaced persons.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia City Council informs that 30 tons of fuel for generators were transferred from Vinnytsia to Kherson so that the city could support the operation of hospitals, heating stations, and critical infrastructure enterprises. 

Workers of the Vinnytsia Regional Museum of Local Lore weave ‘kikimora’ camouflage nets for servicemen. In three months, the women made parts for almost twenty camouflage suits for snipers and scouts.

Kirovohrad oblast

The Mariupol hospital has started operating in Kirovohrad oblast. Doctors are asking for help with equipment. Most of the equipment was destroyed by the russian army during an airstrike on the hospital. It was not possible to take out what was intact.

Lyceum students in Kropyvnytskyi collected a ton of aid for the army. They started the campaign on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. It will be sent to the front before Armed Forces Day, December 6. In addition to humanitarian cargo, patriotic bracelets and drawings are placed in the packages.

Poltava oblast

 Dmytro Lunin, the head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, announced that the representatives of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) sent 70 laptops to the social protection authorities of Poltava oblast.

Dmytro Lunin, the head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, informed that Poltava oblast decided to allocate funds to Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts. 10 million UAH are transferred to each of them from the regional budget. The money was allocated for the purchase of building materials for the repair of damaged objects of Kherson oblast and for the purchase of utility machinery and equipment for Mykolaiv oblast.

The fighter pilot with the call sign “Karaya” gave the parachute he used during the ejection to the museum. It will be exhibited in the Museum of Military History in Kremenchuk,  the director of the institution, Volodymyr Poliakov said.

Cherkasy oblast

The charitable campaign “Zihrii Teplom” was launched in Cherkasy Central City Library for children. According to the manager Svitlana Slodzik, such help for internally displaced persons is essential with the onset of cold weather.

In Cherkasy, schoolchildren are making mini-stoves for the Armed Forces in a workshop of one of the city schools. Using the metal sheet details, they get a mini-stove on which you can boil tea or heat stew, if some kind of fuel is placed inside.

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The russian invaders fired at the humanitarian aid delivery point in the city of Orikhiv. As a result, a social worker was killed, and two more women were injured.

81 shellings were recorded in Zaporizhzhia oblast over the past day. The majority of them targeted infrastructure facilities. The occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in Dorozhnianka, Chervone, Malynivka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Kamianske, Prymorske, Stepnohirsk, Novotroitske, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaky, Poltavka, Novoandriivka, Preobrazhenka, Olhivske, Komyshuvakha, Huliaipole. The police received 58 reports about the destruction of houses (apartments) and infrastructure objects as a result of shelling by russian military personnel.

According to Zaporizhzhia RMA, as of November 21, 2022, 559 people have been held hostage in Zaporizhzhia oblast since the beginning of the full-scale war. So far, it has been possible to free 340 of them, 219 people are still in captivity. The number of cases of Ukrainian citizens being abducted by the occupying forces is increasing. People become victims under various circumstances. The enemy’s motivation is unclear, even children are kidnapped. Currently, 13 minors are known to have been kidnapped, 7 of them have been released. Zaporizhzhia RMA calls on citizens to contact the “hotline” so that enemy hostages have the opportunity to get on the exchange lists.

The temporarily occupied Enerhodar remains without heating and with water and electricity supply interruptions. According to the mayor of Enerhodar, Dmytro Orlov, there are about 15 000 residents left in the city, mostly elderly people and ZNPP workers. The occupiers are constantly shelling Enerhodar, its neighborhoods and critical infrastructure facilities.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces reported that regrouping of individual units of the occupiers near Molochansk, Zaporizhia oblast, was detected. According to available information, individual positions have been released and individual checkpoints have been removed.

6 powerful explosions were heard in temporarily occupied Tokmak. This was reported by the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, with reference to local residents.

Mykolaiv oblast

Heads of foreign diplomatic missions of 20 countries arrived in Mykolaiv on a working visit to discuss the situation in the region. Vitalii Kim and Oleksandr Sienkevych showedforeign representatives the objects damaged and destroyed by russian shelling. In addition, the issues of population needs, electricity and water supply, restoration of damaged and destroyed infrastructure were discussed at the meeting regarding the current situation in Mykolaiv and the oblast.

Repair crews continue to work in Mykolaiv and the oblast to restore infrastructure damaged by enemy shelling. Over the past week, windows were closed in 111 high-rise buildings, roofs with a total area of ​​more than 1 200 square meters were restored in eight high-rise buildings in Mykolaiv. Last week, educational institutions damaged as a result of the armed russian aggression were restored in the regional center. Repair crews closed windows in multi-story and private houses with film and OSB plates and covered the roofs in Bashanka and Mykolaiv regions.

Two tons of medical supplies and an X-ray machine were handed over to the Snihurivka hospital. A mobile team of doctors also worked in the city.

Odesa oblast

The night of November 22 passed without air raid sirens in Odesa and oblast.

 The Bilhorod-Dnister seaport processed 100 times more cargo this year in comparison to the last year. The port received more than ten thousand trucks and shipped more than four thousand wagons by rail. All products were sent for export. Since April, the Bilhorod-Dnister port has been operating as a logistics center for the Danube ports: Izmail, Reni, and Ust-Danubei.

Kherson oblast

The russian military forces do stop shelling populated areas of Beryslav region, destroying people’s homes, shops and educational institutions. The enemy is shelling the recently liberated Kherson 24 hours a day with mortars and long-range artillery from the left bank of the Dnipro. Over the past two days, the russian military has been firing residential neighborhoods to cause as much damage as possible to civilians and the city’s infrastructure. Korabel microdistrict, Skhidniy district, KhBK, villages Kindiika and Antonivka were attacked. On November 22, as of 3:30 p.m., the russian invaders hit 12 places in Kherson. Three people were killed.

Over the past day, the police opened 38 criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes committed by the russian army in Kherson oblast.

During the occupation of Kherson, the russian military looted a company that manufactures and sells professional tools. The occupiers took away all the products and the company car.

The police continue to receive reports about abduction of local residents by the russian military and FSB representatives during the occupation of Kherson. There is no information about the fate of the missing.

Police officers found documents regulating the activities of the invaders’police and other physical evidence of war crimes committed by the occupiers during stabilization measures in the village of Chornobaiivka. The documents were found in the administrative building of the police station, which was seized by the russian military during the occupation, 

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the russian occupying forces set up a torture chamber at a recreation center in Strilkovo, Henichesk region. Ukrainian citizens are detained and subjected to torture there, contrary to all norms of international humanitarian law, laws and customs of warfare.

The biggest challenge for the restoration of electricity supply in Kherson oblast is the level of mined areas. According to Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the chairman of the board of Ukrenerho company, the military of the russian federation deliberately mined and blew up almost the entire energy infrastructure. Therefore, it takes time, first for demining, then for the restoration of power lines.

The bridge over the Ingulets River was restored in the village of Zahradivka, Kochubeivka community. The bridge connects Kochubeivka community with Dnipropetrovsk oblast. People can reach Kryvyi Rih by this road.

125 tons of humanitarian cargo from the UN Mission arrived in Kherson. Drinking water, containers and water purifiers, medicines, hygiene kits, pillows, blankets, solar lamps and other necessary things were brought for the people of Kherson. Kherson residents also received 1 500 food kits, baby food, medicine, dog food, an ambulance and a fire-rescue vehicle from Odesa oblast.

Volyn oblast

The Lyubeshiv settlement council reported that in Volyn oblast, Ukraine is prohibited from approaching the border with belarus closer than two kilometers. In Lyubeshiv community, the territory is laid with mines, so it will be dangerous for Ukrainian citizens there.

In the Lutsk City Council, a meeting with representatives of the Council of Europe was held. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the Program for Promoting the Development of Volunteering of the Urban Territorial Community for 2023-2025, which is currently being developed by the Council of Europe project.

In the center of Lutsk a rally in support of prisoners was held. Oleksandr, native of Volodymyr region, renewed his passport to return to the front. The man lost his passport while in russian captivity, in which he fell near Red Lyman. The soldier was kept in prison in Kupiansk.

The Invincible Kherson exhibition was opened in Lutsk. Its author is a photojournalist Oleksandr Korniakov.

Zakarpattia oblast

The Coordination Council for Internally Displaced Persons will operate in Uzhhorod. The purpose of this council is to ensure and protect the rights of IDPs and promote their integration into the urban territorial community.

Ukrainian officials determined what Kherson community is to be restored by Zakarpattia oblast. This is the Tiahin territorial community, where the front line with the enemy is passing on the left bank of the Dnipro. Over 2K households and almost 6K people are in extremely difficult conditions and need assistance.

The Zakarpattia RMA has started large-scale work on the collection of humanitarian aid to ensure the priority needs of the Tiahin community. Specialized departments are developing programs for the residents of the Tiahin community to stay in the resort and recreation centers of Zakarpattia for psycho-emotional recovery and the necessary rehabilitation. Foreign partners and sister regions of the Zakarpattia oblast have also decided to join and are already forming humanitarian cargoes for the Tiahin community.

The rescuers of Zakarpattia oblast received 5 new generators with a capacity of 21.9 kilowatts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Slovak Republic.

The working visit of the delegation of the Pardubice region of the Czech Republic started in Uzhhorod. The delegation is studying humanitarian needs of Ukraine.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA reported that from Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, 500 winter uniforms were sent to the 102nd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade.

Lviv oblast

Head of the RMA, Maksym Kozytskyi from Lviv oblast, within the framework of the 1 000 cars of freedom initiative, reported that 5 cars were transferred to the front line.

Surgeons of Lviv OKHMATDYTU recently received new equipment. The hospital received a modern LF-DP fibrobronchoscope with Olympus accessories. Through the mediation of the Ukrainian Medical Association in Germany, such giftl was purchased to the hospital by a company that wished to remain anonymous.

Rivne oblast

Head of the Rivne RMA, Vitaly Koval, together with employees left for Kherson oblast. Rivne oblast will be in charge the liberated Bilozerska and Stanislavska territorial communities, where over 60 tonnes of humanitarian aid were sent.

Rokytnivska and Bokiimivska communities purchased off-road vehicles for the Armed Forces.The cars will go to the front in the near future.

In the Myroghoschansk psychoneurological boarding school white camouflage nets are made for the Armed Forces. Employees and wards of the institution are involved in weaving every day.

The well-known TV presenter Oleksandr Pedan read Non-Lectures at the Rivne Scientific Lyceum. The students and their parents discussed such issues as why to go down to the shelter, safe handling of mines and how to maintain mental health in stressful situations in an interactive semi-game form.

Ternopil oblast

The city council reported that this year, the Christmas tree will not be installed in Ternopil. However, the Residence of St. Nicholas will operate on the Theater Square, and a Christmas shop will also be installed. This decision was made based on the results of a survey among Ternopil residents.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Head of the RMA, Serhii Gamalii, announced that two Khmelnytskoblenergo brigades are restoring power supply in Mykolaiv oblast.

Chernivtsi oblast

Students and staff of the Chernivtsi Trade and Economic Institute DTEU sent generators, stoves and warm clothes to the border guards. The aid will go to military personnel who are currently performing combat missions in the east and south of Ukraine.

The city of Iasi (Romania) presented Chernivtsi with three powerful generators for power critical infrastructure.

 International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The US will provide an additional $4.5 billion for direct budget support to Ukraine. The funds will be used for social benefits and salaries to doctors and teachers.

President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced that the European Commission allocated another 2.5 billion euros for Ukraine. Funds will be provided for urgent repairs and rapid recovery, leading to successful reconstruction.

The EU and the UN Development Program will allocate an additional EUR 35 million for the reconstruction of Ukraine in the war conditions with the russian federation.

Norway will finance the purchase of gas for Ukraine for $200 million.

Britain transferred to Ukraine an improved model of a high-tech missile with a Brimstone 2 laser homing system. One missile costs about 175K pounds.

Minister of Defense of Lithuania, Arvydas Anusauskas, stated that Ukraine will receive ammunition for 155-mm artillery from Lithuania. During the month they will fulfill a contract with manufacturers of winter clothing for Ukrainian soldiers.

NATO conducts an audit of all weapons to find those that can be given to Ukraine.

Japan will transfer generators and lamps on solar batteries to Ukraine worth $2.57 million.

Minister of Development of Germany, Svenja Schulze, stated that Germany will help Ukraine to restore energy infrastructure facilities that are being shelled by russia, namely the supply of generators, repair of power lines, water mains and gas pipelines.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that NATO plans to increase the production of weapons to help Ukraine.

Canada issued government bonds in support of Ukraine. The government notes that citizens who purchase these securities will actually buy ordinary five-year Canadian government bonds with an effective interest rate of 3.3%, which will depend on market conditions at the time of the transaction.

Minister of Defense of Lithuania, Arvydas Anushauskas, announced that Lithuania will train 1.5K Ukrainian soldiers next year.
