It has been the 269th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6pm:   

The enemy launched 2 missile strikes and carried out more than 10 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.

The missile strike of the russian occupiers affected the civilian infrastructure of the city of Sviatohirsk.

The situation did  not change significantly towards Volyn and Polissia. There is a constant threat of missile and air strikes, including those with the use of strike UAVs from the territory and airspace of the republic of belarus.

In other directions, the enemy fired towards:

Sloboda from mortars and barreled artillery, in the areas of Strelecha, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Okhrimivka, Zarubynka, Chuhunivka and Ambarne, Kharkiv oblast; 

Kupiansk and Lyman from tanks, mortars, barrelled and rocket artillery, in the areas of Novomlynsk, Orlianka, Kotliarivka, Krokhmalne and Tabaivka, Kharkiv oblast; Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Novoiehorivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Ploshchanka and Nevske in Luhansk oblast and Torske, Andriivka and Berestove, Donetsk oblast;

Bakhmut from tanks, mortars, barreled and rocket artillery, in the areas of Spirne, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Opytne, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Kurdiumivka, Ozarianivka and Niu York, Donetsk oblast;

Kryvyi Rih and Kherson from tanks, barrelled and rocket artillery, in the areas of Chervonyi Maiak, Kachkarivka, Tokarivka, Chornobaivka and the city of Kherson.

According to the available information, military exercises of units of the 2nd motorized rifle division of the 1st Tank Army of the Armed Forces of the russian federation, which took place on the territory of Brest oblast of the republic of belarus, were completed. Military personnel conscripted during the so-called partial mobilization have a low level of moral and psychological state due to unsatisfactory support. Some of the personnel received an old uniform of clothing and equipment that had already been used. Military equipment, for the most part, is in poor technical condition and all the time it needs to be repaired. 

The enemy continues to suffer losses. The fire damage to the place of buildup of manpower of the occupiers was confirmed on November 17, in the settlement of Mykhailivka in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia oblast. It is known that the enemy’s losses amounted to more than 30 people wounded and dead.

According to the updated information, as a result of the fire damage by the Defense Forces of the enemy’s buildup near Mykhailivka, Skadovsk region, Kherson oblast, on November 17, the death toll of the invaders made about 60 people.

In the city of Luhansk, there is an increase in the number of occupation units of russian troops. In the settlements of Krasne and Simeikyne in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk oblast, the enemy places personnel in abandoned apartments and forcibly evicts civilians from their homes to other settlements.

The Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that three Ukrainian servicemen were released from russian captivity. These are military officers of a separate battalion of marines of the Navy of Ukraine. Psychological and primary assistance is being provided. 

In an address to the participants of the International Security Forum in Halifax, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the partners to show leadership in dismantling elements of russian aggression. Concessions to Ukrainian land or sovereignty cannot be called peace, because it simply means freezing the war. “These are challenges that need to be overcome for the sake of the security of Ukraine, Europe and the world. It is a formula for peace for the world. This is the only way to true peace,” he added.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian invaders shelled at least 10 settlements. The oblast was hit with artillery, tanks and mortars: towards Kupiansk – Kotliarivka, Krokhmalne, Novomlynsk, Orlianka and Tabaivka settlements; towards Sloboda – Ambarne, Chuhunivka, Ohirtseve, Okhrimivka, Starytsia, Strilecha and Zarubynka settlements.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that for the first time in many months, electricity was restored in Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi settlement. Some residents of this settlement have electricity in their homes. Currently, specialists continue to work on connecting the rest of the residential buildings to the power supply. In addition, today the power supply has been restored to some residents of Izium city and villages of the Izium region.

The works on restoration of gas and heat supply do not stop. Today, gas supply to boiler houses in Borova settlement of the Izium region has been restored. In total, gas supply was restored to 594 families in Kharkiv and Izium regions.

Yesterday the enemy shelled settlements of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Kupiansk regions near the contact line and the border with russia with mortars, tanks and artillery.

In Kupiansk, enemy shelling damaged the roofs of buildings and the roadway. Residential and commercial buildings were partially destroyed in Vovchansk. According to preliminary information, no one was injured.

There were no casualties as a result of russian shelling.

Mine clearance continues in the region. Pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service defused 228 units of enemy mines, explosives and ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that russians killed one civilian in Torske. Moreover, law enforcers found the body of a civilian killed during the occupation in Krymky. Another 3 people were injured.

The entire liberated part of Donetsk oblast is being shelled with russian weapons.

Towards Volnovakha, there were periodic attacks on Vuhledar. No casualties are reported.

Towards Donetsk, there were no casualties, yet some destruction occurred. A house and a summer kitchen were damaged in Kurakhove. There were isolated attacks in Avdiivka at night and in the morning – massive shelling of the downtown. The consequences are being clarified.

Towards Horlivka, a woman was injured, a private house and an apartment building damaged in Bakhmut. The outskirts of Svitlodarsk and Toretsk communities were also under fire.

Towards Lysychansk, massive shelling of Torske and Zarichne in the Lyman community continues. In addition, russians shelled Sviatohirsk in the middle of the night. According to preliminary information, without casualties.

14 private buildings in Kramatorsk were damaged as a result of another russian shelling. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

The General Staff reported that in six days, five hundred injured invaders were delivered to hospitals in Horlivka.

Mariupol Mayor’s Councillor, Petro Andriushchenko, reported that the invaders have installed a communication point in Yurivka and at least 30 tanks on the territory of one of the agricultural enterprises in Yalta settlement. Russian troops are gathering forces in the Mariupol region.

Two sows with six piglets, four donkeys, a nutria with kids, two horses, a llama, a goat and a duck were taken out of the de-occupied Yampil by volunteers of the Vetmarket Pluriton organisation. Other animals – prairie wolves, a camel, a bison, a kangaroo, an ostrich, and an alpaca – did not survive: some died of starvation, some were killed by the invaders. Before the war, the animals were kept in two zoos – on the ostrich farm and the forestry.

Luhansk oblast

Russians opened fire on Hrekivka, Makiivka, Miasozharivka, Nevske, Novoiehorivka, Novoselivske, Ploshchanka and Stelmakhivka towards Kupiansk and Lyman.

According to Head of the Luhansk RMA Serhii Haidai, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are constantly moving forward, despite the constant replenishment of russian personnel. The Russians transferred the remnants of the best soldiers – paratroopers from the Kherson direction to Luhansk oblast. The occupiers practically destroyed Makiivka – a school, a health center, a library and other buildings were destroyed. The wells are actually the only communications survived.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that occupation forces are pulling forces towards Mariupol and Luhansk oblast. The russian military settles in recreation centres and surviving houses, evicting people from their own homes. The message says that in Luhansk, there is an increase in russian troops. Kyiv oblast

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak visited Kyiv and met with President Zelenskyy. Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that “We discussed the most important issues both for our countries and for global security”.

The Bucha City Council reported that Bundestag Deputy Marko Vanderwitz visited Bucha as part of the visit to the de-occupied Kyiv oblast. He met the city and regional authorities and discussed the reconstruction of the destroyed infrastructure, the return of Bucha residents to their native homes, and the need for long-term support from Germany to restore and develop the economic potential of the community and the country.

The Bucha authorities have allocated a plot of land for the construction of a new power plant in the village of Myrotske, this decision being made at an extraordinary session of the city council. It is planned to build a new substation with the funds of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and with the support of the Ministry of Community and Territory Development of Ukraine.

The Kyiv RMA reported that the reconstruction of educational institutions of the oblast is in progress. The school in Irpin for more than 1,700 children, where the windows were broken, the kitchen and dining room burned down, and the facade and roof destroyed, was restored. Repairs are being carried out at the expense of the state budget, and a safe shelter was installed in the facility. 141 schools and lyceums were damaged in Kyiv oblast due to russian aggression.

The arrangement of the shelter in one of the educational institutions of Hostomel has been completed. The room is equipped for conducting classes during emergencies. There are all the necessary communications, Wi-Fi and a generator in case of a power outage.

The petition of Kyiv residents regarding reconstruction of the historic building on Zhilyanska street, which was destroyed on October 17 due a kamikaze drone attack, was rejected. According to the conclusions of the Kyiv City Council Commission on Architecture and Urban Planning, the building cannot be renovated as 50% of the building is destroyed, structural elements and engineering networks cannot be restored.

However, the capital has restored the house on Vynohradar, which was damaged by an enemy missile in March.

The KCSA reported that the delegation of the mayor’s office in Brussels handed over equipment, medical products and equipment for the treatment of the armed forces. The help was received by one of the city’s medical institutions, on the basis of which a new department of reconstructive and plastic surgery was opened in June to provide highly specialized medical assistance to military personnel.

A charity run was held at the National Expo Center of Ukraine in Kyiv in support of Azov fighters from the special unit of the National Guard of Ukraine. The event was organized by the Association of Families of Defenders of Azovstal. All funds collected will be spent for vehicles needed by the military on the front lines.

Zhytomyr oblast

New schedules of emergency and hourly power outages were introduced in Zhytomyr oblast. Part of the settlements in the north of the oblast still remain without electricity. As reported by Zhytomyroblenerho, if earlier there was a shortage of bandwidth, now there is also a shortage of power generation.

Rescuers deliver water to the settlements of Zhytomyr oblast, which remain without electricity and water supply due to the damage of the oblast’s energy supply system by enemy shelling. Yesterday, at the request of local authorities, they delivered water to 6 micro-districts of the city of Berdychiv.

283 heating points have been restored in Zhytomyr oblast. They are located in the premises of village or settlement councils, medical or educational institutions. If necessary, the Regional Office of the State Emergency Service will be able to install 4 more mobile heating points in a few hours, each of which is designed for about 20 people. They will be provided with places to sit, hot drinks and medics on duty.

193 employers of Zhytomyr oblast, who hired displaced Ukrainians from dangerous regions of the country, have benefited from state financial support. More than UAH 5 million in compensation was paid to entrepreneurs of the oblast for employment of 447 internally displaced persons. Enterprises in Zhytomyr and the nearby territorial communities are the most active in providing work to the affected Ukrainians.

Sumy oblast

The SBGS reported that communities of Bilopillia, Shalygine, Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Novhorodske came under enemy fire. The enemy inflicted fire damage using mortars, rocket and barrelled artillery. In total, there were about 80 explosions in the border area of Sumy oblast.

Head of the Sumy RMA Dmytro Zhivytskyi reported that economic buildings and motor vehicles were damaged due the artillery shelling of the Shalyhine community. Enemy shells exploded in gardens and fields of local residents.

The students of the Sumy Regional Specialized Children’s Home have returned to Ukraine. They were evacuated to Germany and stayed there for 8 months. 54 children were taken in by Ivano-Frankivsk oblast – Yasen Children’s Sanatorium and Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Children’s Home. As reported in the institution, the return gives children an opportunity to be close to their parents, and orphans can find a family.

The Sumy RMA reported that UAH 27.4 million was allocated from the budgets of various levels to provide winter clothing for the Territorial Defense Forces of Sumy oblast. By December 15, the oblast plans to provide all the volunteer battalions with high-quality clothes and shoes.

Firefighting equipment from the Swiss organization Volunteers For Humanity was handed over to the Trostyanets community in Sumy oblast. Part of the equipment was sent to one of the fire and rescue units of the State Emergency Service in Sumy oblast, the rest will be distributed among fire brigades of the community.

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Service reported that the enemy continues to shell the border areas of Chernihiv oblast. The enemy fired barrelled artillery on the outskirts of two settlements of the Novhorod-Siverskyi community. There were 18 explosions of artillery shells.

Almost 100 unemployed people were involved in community service in Pryluky as part of the Salvation Army government initiative. People who temporarily lost their jobs are offered a contract and tasked with building defense structures, clearing shelters or chopping firewood.

One of the most damaged high-rise buildings in Chernihiv is being overhauled. Dismantling and restoration work is being carried out here, damaged walls covered with brickwork, floor slabs concreted, and internal partitions installed. Construction repairs are planned to be completed at the beginning of next year.

The Danish company ROCKWOOL sent awnings, generators, modern warm and moisture-resistant karemats for the needs of Chernihiv oblast. The last ones can be used as mattresses directly on the ground or securely cover the necessary equipment with them. First of all, this assistance is intended for stationary and mobile heating points in large communities of the oblast.

The Bakhmach religious community sent a minibus and 82 boxes of food, clothing, hygiene products and winter camouflage nets to the front line. The employees of the local library took care of the defenders’ immunity and prepared dozens of litres of sauerkraut.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Head of the Dnipro Regional Council, Mykola Lukashuk, informed that the Nikopol region was shelled at night. The invaders struck civilian communities  Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets, Myrove and Nikopol with Hrad MRLs and heavy artillery. A car burned down. Two residential houses and two buildings were destroyed. Pokrovsk and Marhanets communities were also attacked in the daytime with more than two dozen MRLS shells. 

Kryvyi Rih volunteers organized production of homemade stoves for the military. Broken boilers and used cylinders are turned into mobile boilers for heating and cooking.

Vinnytsia oblast

Volunteers from Ladyzhyn headquarters sent 33 cars prepared to operate in combat conditions to the front line. Medicines, hygiene products and dressing materials were also collected for the soldiers and sent to the front.

Volunteer Liudmyla Amosiuk informed that during the month, more than 100 liters of “Bandera” ​​smoothie and 360 half-litre cans of ground viburnum with sugar were made and handed over to the defenders by volunteers from Khmilnyk, Vinnytsia oblast.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, women (IDPs) who lost their jobs due to the war are studying to become masseurs. After completing the training, they will receive equipment for work. Lev Abramov, the organizer of the Path of Adaptation project, announced this. Among those who had to change professions are a ballet dancer, a psychologist and an unemployed person.

In Kropyvnytskyi, an art object made of parts of an aerial bomb was sold to raise money for a drone for the defense forces. Dmytro Bohdanov, the co-initiator of the sale, announced that the auction took place online and lasted 77 hours. The lot was sold for UAH 15 K. 

Poltava oblast

According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, Poltava Oblast received humanitarian aid from the International Committee of the Red Cross:  60 refrigerators, 60 washing machines, 60 stoves, 60 microwaves, 30 showers and 120 electric kettles. They will be distributed to places of compact residence of displaced persons in institutions of regional subordination and communities.

Cherkasy oblast

According to Head of the Cherkasy State Administration Ihor Taburets, the aid consisting of necessities such as medicines, food, building materials, firewood, small pots, generators, and drinking water from communities of Ternopil oblast and Cherkasy oblast has been delivered to the people of Kherson.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

At night, russian troops hit an infrastructure facility in Zaporizhzhia with five missiles. The enemy fired missiles from S-300 systems. As a result of the enemy attack, one person was killed, and the central heating pipelines damaged. 123 high-rise buildings, where more than 17 K people live, remained without heat supply. Employees of Zaporizhzhia communal services repaired the damaged pipeline before noon.

The police received 33 reports about the destruction of houses (apartments) and infrastructure objects as a result of shelling by russian military personnel. Over the past day, the occupiers shelled the civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia, Zarychne, Chervone, Malynivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Kamianske, Pavlivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Dorozhnianka, Olhivske, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Poltavka, Mala Tokmachka, Stepnohrisk.

According to Oleksandr Starukh, Head of the Zaporizhzhia RMA, search operations at the site of a house destroyed by rockets were completed in Vilnianka, 10 people were killed. According to him, the russians shot a whole family, parents and two minor children, in one of the communities.

The General Staff confirmed the fire damage to an enemy manpower buildup on November 17, in Mykhailivka located in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy losses amounted to more than 30 wounded and killed. 

Generators were purchased for law enforcement officers as part of cooperation with the United Nations Program for Reconstruction and Development of Peace (#UNRPP) on public security and social cohesion. The generators will be handed over to the law enforcement officers who evacuated from the Melitopol region captured by russian troops and continue to work in the territory controlled by Ukraine.

Mykolaiv oblast

Ukrainian defenders on the Kinburn Spit struck the enemy’s buildup of manpower, weapons and equipment. The occupiers fired at port tugs and grain barges in the Dnipro-Buh estuary from there. As a result, 7 occupiers and 2 units of armored vehicles were destroyed, the base point was destroyed.

In the evening of November 18, russian troops shelled the Mykolaiv region. Strikes were made on the water area in the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties as a result of the shelling.

The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Kyselyvka, previously occupied by russians, was destroyed by russian shelling. The antique icons of the Mother of God were kept in the temple. They were destroyed by rain and falling plaster, as the building has no roof. The temple is completely destroyed and it is impossible to restore it. December 8 was supposed to be 170 years since the construction of the temple. The brick chapel was built in 1852.

The russian troops destroyed the Pension Fund service center in the liberated Snihurivka, Mykolaiv oblast. The terrorists stole computer equipment, furniture and even a toilet. Currently, the institution is resuming work. The lists of pensioners, including those who did not receive a pension for more than six months, are also being drawn up.

Work is ongoing to restore life support in the de-occupied Snihurivka and the community. Local residents were called upon to voluntarily surrender weapons and ammunition within ten days.

Work on restoration of the water supply in Mykolaiv continues. Water supply in Mykolaiv will be restored after the de-occupied Kherson oblast receives electricity.

Utility workers continue to restore roofs damaged by russian shelling in Mykolaiv. Repair crews restored 127 out of 239 damaged roofs. This was reported by Mykolaiv City Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych.

Instructors of the public organization Patriot conducted classes for military personnel of Mykolaiv oblast on the topic Tactical Combat Casualty Care – TCCC.  The training includes comprehensive exercises that allow quickly and as accurately as possible determine the type and degree of injuries received and provide emergency medical assistance to the injured.

Mykolaiv was given motor vehicles, materials for road construction and pipe repair, as well as clothes, medicines and equipment from Dortmund, Germany. This was reported by the Department of Housing and Communal Services of the Mykolaiv City Council.

Odesa oblast

The enemy fleet in the Black Sea in the number of 7 ships is maneuvering along the Crimean coast. There is 1 submarine missile carrier equipped with 4 Kalibr missiles on combat duty. The ‘South’ Operational Command reports increased mine danger due to a storm at sea.

Over the past two days, nine ships with 162K tonnes of agricultural products left the ports of Greater Odesa for countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe. Currently, there are 26 ships in the ports, on which 1 million tonnes of Ukrainian agricultural products are loaded.

On the morning of November 19, electricity was restored to 400K homes in Odesa oblast. On the evening of November 19, there were lines disconnected for a long time. According to Head of the Odesa RMA Maksym Marchenko, those who have been without electricity for a long time can get it back by the morning of November 20. Also, according to him, blackouts will continue according to the schedule.

Kherson oblast

The situation towards Tavria and South Buh is steadily tense, but under control. The enemy conducts combat operations along the Dnipro banks, arranges defensive lines with deepening in the eastern direction, redeploys units to the zone of maximum distance from the area affected by our artillery.

The enemy inflicted fire damage using anti-aircraft guns and tanks towards Chornobaivka, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Tokarivka, Odradokamianka, the river port and residential quarters of Kherson. During the day, Chervonyi Maiak was shelled with heavy artillery several times, and a local resident was wounded in Beryslav as a result of an attack by a drone equipped with the VOG ammunition.

On November 19, the army of the russian federation fired at a humanitarian point in  Bilozerka during the distribution of bread. 5 people were injured.

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation found evidence of high treason in the office of the occupation police in Kherson – “Journal of acceptance (surrender) of post and verification of service in the security building of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kherson oblast” and complete lists with addresses, telephone numbers, titles, call signs of collaborators. Currently, the SBI is preparing to notify all involved parties of suspicion of treason. Sanctions of the article provide for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The Ukrainian authorities began conducting voluntary evacuations in Kherson, freed from the russian occupiers. People are being evacuated to Mykolaiv oblast, and from there to the western regions: Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi and Poltava oblasts.

Power supply was restored in Velyka Oleksandrivka, Novodmytrivka and Starosillia, Beryslav region. Ukrzaliznytsia also restored power supply at the Kherson railway station. Water appeared there, the houses located next to the station will be connected to the water supply. A total of 900 consumers will be able to use water.

The team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation provided Kherson mobile operators with Starlink terminals and generators. Now Starlinks and generators are the best solution to quickly restore communication. According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, the first two base stations of mobile communication have already started working in Kherson. It is planned to restore communication throughout the de-occupied territory by November 20. Also, by the end of the year, Internet providers plan to return Internet connection to most communities of Kherson oblast.

About 60K residents received humanitarian aid in the liberated territory of Kherson oblast. On the morning of November 19, trucks with humanitarian aid from other regions of Ukraine arrived in Kherson: from Dnipropetrovsk, Volyn, Zakarpattia, and Cherkasy oblasts. Food and hygiene kits, warm clothes, bedding, blankets, firewood, stoves, electric generators, utility equipment, passenger buses, etc. were delivered to the city.

The Ministry of Health has purchased eight modern B-class ambulance vehicles for Kherson. The patient’s path has started working in Kherson and humanitarian medical aid is being delivered.

The first train since the beginning of the full-scale war arrived from Kyiv to Kherson. The railway connection with Kherson was restored a week after the liberation. The train leaves on even numbers, and returns on odd numbers.

Ukrposhta delivered more than 2K parcels to Kherson. These are the shipments that were not received by the addressees due to the full-scale invasion and occupation of the city. The parcels were delivered by a special postal car as part of the Kyiv-Kherson train.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Head of the Volyn RMA, Yurii Pohuliaiko, together with his team, is in Kherson oblast liberated from the occupiers. They brought two trucks of humanitarian aid to the residents of the oblast. Namely, grocery sets, personal hygiene products, clothes for adults and children, disinfectants, drinking water and household utensils.

The Lavrovsky Lyceum in Volyn received a new school bus. The previous one was given to the Armed Forces.

Volodymyr Lyceum students held a fair to collect funds for the needs of the Armed Forces. Almost UAH 12K collected will be used for the purchase of thermal clothing and gloves for defenders.

Head of the board of ALBA Polska, Krzysztof Gruszczynski, announced that Polish businessmen want to create a joint waste processing company in Lutsk.

Zakarpattia oblast

During a working trip to Kherson, Head of the Zakarpattia RMA, Viktor Mykyta, met with Head of the Kherson RMA, Yaroslav Yanushevich. They discussed priority areas of aid to the frontline city and community.

An analogue of the mural destroyed by the occupiers in Starobilsk will be opened in Uzhhorod.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko arrived on a working trip to Prykarpattia.

In the RMA, a meeting with heads of district administrations was held. Key goals are assistance to the military, preparation for winter and creation of new beds for IDPs.

In the RMA, a coordination meeting with international donors was held to resolve problems of IDPs living in Prykarpattia.

On the initiative of Head of the Ivano-Frankivsk RMA, Svitlana Onyshchuk, a new structural unit was created within the social policy department of the RMA – the Department of Veterans’ Affairs. The purpose of the unit is social protection of veterans and their families, subsequent reintegration of servicemen into peaceful life, and assistance to the families of the fallen.

Lviv oblast

The first two trucks with humanitarian aid namely, food, heating devices, hygiene products and other necessary things, left Lviv oblast for Kherson oblast.

Five medics from the Lviv 103rd Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were awarded with high state awards for saved lives. The relevant Decree was signed by the President of Ukraine.

A charity auction ARTgenerator was held in Lviv. The event was organized to raise funds for 10 power generators for the Armed Forces.

Rivne oblast

Head of the Rivne RMA, Vitalii Koval, announced that training for social service workers was held in the oblast.

Ternopil oblast

A group of Ukrainian rescuers returned to Ternopil from the Republic of Poland, where they together with their colleagues from other oblasts had eight-day training in the city of Nowy Sonch. They gained new knowledge in conducting rescue operations during construction disasters.

Single elderly people who are under the care of the Territorial City Center for Social Services of the Population will receive 1,5K hygiene kits. Aid came from the LIGHT OF REFORMATION CF and the Ternopil city organization of the Red Cross Society.

From Ternopil oblast, humanitarian aid, namely, food products, medicines, building materials and others, was sent to Kherson oblast.

150 sets of winter military uniforms for Ternopil territorial defense fighters, who are currently on the front lines, were sent from Ternopil oblast. In addition, tires and camouflage nets were sent.

A train with evacuees from Donetsk oblast arrived in Ternopil. Employees of the Rescue Service helped people get off the train, unload things. SES psychologists helped restore their psychological state.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The Round Table was held in Khmelnytskyi oblast to discuss issues of social protection of IDPs from Luhansk oblast. The event took place within the framework of the IDPs for Communities: a Burden or a Resource project and brought together government representatives from Khmelnytskyi and Luhansk oblasts.

The RMA reported that 10 tablets were sent to soldiers on the eastern front from Khmelnytskyi oblast.

Chernivtsi oblast

Head of the Chernivtsi RMA, Ruslan ZaparanIuk, held an online meeting with heads of territorial communities. They discussed the effectiveness of using budget funds in the conditions of martial law, the state of shelters and the heating season.

In the RMA, a meeting with volunteers from Bukovyna was held. They discussed aid to military personnel, IDPs and residents of liberated territories.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

According to Denys Shmyhal, since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has received over $23 billion in international aid, including 4.8 billion from the EU and 8.5 billion from the US.”

The Embassy of Ukraine in Germany reported that Germany has sent 30 Gepard anti-aircraft guns to Ukraine.

The United Kingdom will provide Ukraine with a new package of military anti-aircraft aid, which will include 120 special anti-aircraft guns and anti-drone equipment. The amount of assistance is 50 million pounds.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that next week, Ukraine will receive EUR 2.5 billion from the EU. Another tranche of EUR 500 million will be provided in December.

Lithuania allocated EUR 5 million in aid to Ukraine for the restoration of energy facilities. 250 transformers and 160 generators are expected to be sent in the near future.

The USAID allocated up to $20 million for the Grain from Ukraine program. Support will be provided through the UN World Food Program (WFP) to facilitate additional supplies of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan, Joseph Wu, announced a plan to support Ukraine in 2023. In addition to financial aid, the government will transfer funds for the restoration of schools, hospitals and churches.

The state concern Ukroboronprom reported that Ukraine is integrating into NATO‘s defense-industrial complex. Ukroboronprom will jointly produce and develop heavy weapons and military equipment with at least six member countries of the Alliance. Agreements have been concluded with Poland, the Czech Republic, France, Denmark and several others that do not provide for the disclosure of any data.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak arrived in Ukraine. During the meeting with President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, they discussed the possibilities of protecting Ukrainian and European energy security.

Participants of the APEC summit strongly condemned the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine.

The exposition UKRAIN KRICH AN EUROPA has opened in the technical lyceum of the city of Ettelbruck (Luxembourg). Its purpose is to highlight tragic consequences of the war in Ukraine and collect aid that will be sent to the Vinnytsia community and units of the State Emergency Service in Vinnytsia oblast.

The XX World Congress of the Union of Ukrainian Youth (the UUY) was held in the US. The congress was attended by delegates from 12 countries of the world, where the official representative offices of the UUY operate. Within the Congress, a charity evening War for Independence was held. The Silent Auction was also held. Over $10K raised at the auction will go to support defenders of Ukraine.

An exhibition of modern art was opened in Vienna, where the works of 25 Ukrainian artists will be shown. Each participant of the exhibition has his own complex war experience and strives to show the world what Ukraine and Ukrainians are experiencing now through the lens of their own vision.
