War in Ukraine today: latest news, November 14, 2022 (photo)

It has been the 264th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The enemy is trying to hold the temporarily occupied territories, erecting defensive constructions on the left bank of the Dnipro. At the same time, they have still continue to launch offensive operations towards Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka. To replace the personnel losses, the enemy is training the newly mobilized soldiers in the military camps, training centers to send them to areas of hostilities. 

The invaders launched 2 missiles and 16 air strikes, 15 multi rocket launcher attacks. 

The situation did not significantly change towards Volyn and Polissia. Based on the available information, Brest regional commissariat ordered to print 50K copies of conscription registration forms until December 31, 2022. 

The territory of Ukraine is under the constant threat of rocket and air strikes. Air raid alerts are not to be ignored. 

The enemy also fired towards:

Sloboda from mortars, rockets and barrels at the settlements Ambrane, Anyskyne, Budarky, Vovchansk, Kamianka, Sosnivka, Yablunivka, Kharkiv oblast;

Kupiansk and Lyman from various artillery types at the settlements of Berestive, Kyslivka, Krokhmalne, Kharkiv oblast; Makiivka, Nevske and Stelmakhivka, Luhansk oblast; Nevelske and Torske, Donetsk oblast; 

Bakhmut from all artillery types at the settlements of Andriivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmtske, Bilohorivka, Vrekhniokamianske, Hryhorivka, Klischiivka, Kurdiumivka, Pivnichne and Spirne, Donetsk oblast;

Avdiivka from all artillery types at the settlements of Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, Novomykhailivka, Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast; 

Novopavlivka from all artillery types at the settlements of Bohoiavlenka, Velyka Novosilka, Vremivka, Buhledar, Novopil, Pavlivka, Prechysta, Donetsk oblast; 

Zaporizhzhia from mortars, barrels an drockets at the settlements of Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Malynivka, Olhivske, Temyrivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Towards Kherson, the enemy shelled the settlements of Dudchany, Zolota Balka, Mykolaivka, Mylove and Chornobaivka.

Due to the complex humanitarian emergency in Luhansk oblast, the occupiers plan to evacuate civilians from the settlements of Kreminna, Sievierodonetsk, Rubizhne to other temporarily occupied territories in the region. 

Based on the verified information, the invaders’ command point was struck in the city of Horlivka, Donetsk oblast. 7 trucks, 2 MT-12 Rapira anti-tank guns,  3 MT-LB armored fighting vehicles were destroyed. 15 occupiers were wounded. The information on casualties is being clarified.  

In Mariupol, the occupation authorities are expanding their propaganda sources instead of providing basic living needs to civilians. Relying on the available information, the invaders plan to broadcast a new TV channel Mariupol-24. They also plan to make non-stop broadcasting for a month.  

The air defense forces of Ukraine launched 17 strikes on the buildups of manpower, equipment and weapons. Rocket forces and artillery of Ukraine hit 2 command points,  buildups of manpower and military equipment. 


According to the head of the President’s office Andrii Yermak, the Ukrainian flag was raised in Kherson. The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy who arrived at the city earlier took part in the ceremony. Andrii Yermak, head of the President’s office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko and Roman Mashovets, deputy heads of the President’s office, Yaroslav Yanushevych, head of the Kherson regional military administration also visited Kherson. 

The UN General Assembly approved the draft of the resolution on the mechanism of compensatory damages of Ukraine caused by the russian military aggression. The resolution was supported by 94 countries, 14 voted against it, 73 countries abstained. Belarus, the Central African Republic, China, Cuba, North Korea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iran, Mali, Nikaragua, russia, Syria, Zimbabwe voted against the resolution. Ukraine together with almost 50 other countries prepared the resolution draft.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the invaders shelled Kharkiv and 12 settlements of Kharkiv oblast. The enemy struck in two directions. The settlements were shelled with mortars and artillery towards Sloboda, near Ambarne, Anyskyne, Budarky, Kamianka, Sosnivka, Vovchansk and Yablunivka settlements; in Kupiansk direction – near Berestove, Krokhmalne and Kyslivka.

Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, informed in a telephone conversation with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, Mark Milley, that Defence forces, despite the fierce resistance of the occupation troops, continue offensive actions in Kharkiv direction.

Reclaimed territories of Kharkiv oblast are among the most mined by russians. This is emphasized by experts who are working hard on clearing the mines. Almost every day there are victims among civilians. Today in Tsupivka village of Derhachi community 3 men, who were mowing grass near the railway station, ran over a mine. The victims were hospitalised. De-mining continues.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that gas supply in the region has already been restored by more than 70%, electricity supply – by almost 75%. When it comes to the heat: 472 boiler houses are currently operational which is 90%. There are already 7238 houses with centralised heating, which is 96%. The work continues.

The Prosecutor’s Office informed that the bodies of four more civilians were exhumed in Kupiansk district. There are signs of torture on the body of one of them

Yesterday around 10:40 pm the enemy struck Kharkiv with three S-300 missiles. An industrial facility was damaged in the Industrial district. There were no casualties.

The invaders shelled the cities of Kupiansk and Vovchansk and other settlements of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Kupiansk districts near the front line and the border with russia.

A residential building was damaged in Vovchansk, Chuhuiv district.

Russian troops launched seven missiles at Shevchenkove settlement of Kupiansk district. As a result of the enemy shelling, the House of Culture, shops, trade pavilions, a post office building, an educational institution, an infrastructure facility and two four-storey residential buildings were damaged.

According to the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care, a 48-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were hospitalised with injuries in Kupiansk.

De-mining works continue. Pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service defused 80 explosive ordnance.

‼️ However, the mine danger remains very high. Yesterday in Derрachi, a 45-year-old man stepped on an unknown explosive device and was hospitalised with injuries. In addition, a 54-year-old man was injured in Volokhiv Yar village of Chuhuiv district as a result of tripping an explosive device.

Vitiaz Kharkiv team launched Hockey Bayraktar charity event. The athletes held a hockey tournament in Poland. They want to raise $5 million to buy cars for rescuers and medics, as well as to help residents of reclaimed territories of Kharkiv oblast and the military.

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the evening report on November 14 that Ukrainian forces hit a control post of russian troops in the temporarily occupied Horlivka. Trucks, guns and other equipment were destroyed or damaged. At least 15 russian soldiers were also injured.

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that russians injured 4 civilians in Andriivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske and Kurakhove.

In Volnovakha direction, Pavlivka and Vuhledar were actively shelled at night, damaging 1 building. There were no casualties.

Kurakhove suffered the biggest destruction in Donetsk direction. 7 apartment buildings, a kindergarten and an administrative building were damaged as a result of shelling and 1 person injured. In the morning, russians shelled Selydove, hitting near an agricultural facility. The shelling  consequences are being established.

Director of school No. 7, Oleksii Holovatyi, informed that the institution in Toretsk community was under russian fire. The building is partially destroyed.

In Horlivka direction, 1 person was injured in Bakhmut. The premises of the Center for Children and Youth were completely destroyed and a private building damaged. It was also loud on the outskirts of Chasiv Yar and Svitlodarsk communities. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

Mariupol City Council reported that in the temporarily occupied Mariupol, the mortality rate has increased by four to five times compared to the data before russian invasion. About 150 people die every week.

Luhansk oblast

Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, said that Ukrainian troops have already liberated 12 settlements of Luhansk oblast. According to him, there are a lot of Wagner soldiers and partially mobilised russians on the way of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Luhansk region. There are a lot of destroyed houses in Hrekivka, Makiivka and Stelmakhivka. Bilohorivka is under constant shelling and attacks of russians.

The Luhansk Regional Military Administration reported that the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled russian attacks in Bilohorivka, Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka. It also noted that on November 13, russians opened fire from tanks and the entire range of artillery on Makiivka, Nevske, Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in Kupiansk and Lyman directions.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The Land Forces HQ of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that a military exercise involving units of the Kyiv Defence Forces will take place in Kyiv and the oblast on November 15-17. The training aims at increasing combat (operational) capabilities during the preparation and conduct of a defensive operation. Battle drills involving personnel, regular military equipment and weapons will take place during the exercise.

The Head of the Kyiv RMA Oleksiy Kuleba informed that 754 heating stations have been set up in Kyiv oblast. They have supplies of water, food, warm clothes and blankets. The heating will be produced by stoves, regular heaters and industrial space heaters. The stations are equipped with backup power devices.

The Head of Kyiv Regional Police Andrii Niebytov reported that a resident of Kyiv attempted to disassemble a tank shell on his own and died of shrapnel injuries caused by the explosion. Law enforcers found other explosive objects at his home. The police are reminding citizens of the danger of collecting and bringing home any unfamiliar objects, and urge to avoid areas of former hostilities, as well as not to visit forests and fields in the territories that were under occupation.

The Kyiv RMA reported that the second group of psychologists went to Israel to attend a training seminar on dealing with post-traumatic syndrome in the military and victims of war. After the training, Ukrainian psychologists will receive respective certificates and will be able to train specialists in Ukraine.

The education process continues in the educational institutions of Kyiv oblast. 649 secondary schools and 689 preschool institutions are working with different forms of education. According to the regional military administration, the education process continues in 543 schools and 487 kindergartens full-time and with mixed forms.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko said that winter holidays in Kyiv schools will start according to the schedule and will last a month. During this time, school heating will be kept to a minimum to maintain the heating system, and in case of an emergency in the city, some schools will be used as heating centers.

Obukhiv specialists of the State Emergency Service visited their colleagues in Germany. They studied the fire and rescue vehicles and equipment used by the firefighters of Radebeul, as well as service conditions and organization of the German rescuers. German colleagues handed over a modern fire and rescue vehicle to the Obukhiv garrison.

Zhytomyr oblast

A pilot project of “VidnovyDim” (‘Restore Your Home’) program is to be launched in Zhytomyr oblast to restore apartment buildings damaged as a result of hostilities. The Program is supported by the European Union. At the first stage, the EU plans to allocate EUR 5 million for its implementation.

Oleksiy Sheketa, head of JSC Zhytomyroblenergo, reported that power engineer brigades from Zhytomyr oblast have arrived in Kherson oblast. They will help restore damaged power supply lines so that Kherson residents can be provided with electricity as soon as possible.

Free psychological assistance is provided to internally displaced persons and war-affected civilians in Zhytomyr. Psychologists of ADRA charity organization  Ukraine consult people online and in person. 

Sumy oblast

According to Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, the head of Sumy RMA, over the last 24 hours, the russians fired 264 mines, missiles, and shells on the border areas of Sumy oblast.

The villages of Shalyhine community were shelled three times during the day. The enemy used MLRS and mortar fire. Settlements of Znob-Novhorod and Khotin community were also attacked with MLRS, mortars, and self-propelled artillery units. A local house and power lines were damaged in Khotyn community.

Bilopillia community was shelled with mortars and artillery 5 times. Preliminarily, 3 houses have been destroyed and power lines have been damaged. The same weapons were used by the enemy to shell Yunakivka community.

Krasnopillia community came under rocket fire. An enemy helicopter fired 8 NURS missiles at one of the villages, and mortar fire was used at the outskirts of another village.

In the morning, the invaders fired from MLRS on the territory of one of the enterprises in Sumy oblast where people were working. There were 19 explosions, three employees sustained shrapnel wounds and were hospitalized. One of the victims has a serious leg injury. The roof is destroyed, windows are broken. EOD teams had to dispose of UXOs.

Yunakivka community was attacked. There were 10 shells fired from self-propelled artillery systems. The shells exploded near residential buildings. There are 9 damaged houses: broken roofs, windows and fences. The outbuildings and cars of local residents were damaged.

Seredyno-Buda community was also attacked. Russian occupiers launched 8 missiles from a helicopter. Two civilian houses and a shop were damaged.

There are almost no residents left in the border village of Bilopillia community. After the shelling yesterday, people left their homes to save their lives. Almost 70 shells and mortar rounds exploded in the village in one day.

Chernihiv oblast

The head of Semenivka community Serhiy Dedenko reported that agricultural machinery was damaged and a transformer substation was destroyed as a result of yesterday’s enemy shelling in Semenivka community. 9 settlements were left without power supply. The community was shelled with mortars and barrel artillery three times per day. Currently, power supply has been resumed in all settlements.

According to the report of the head of Horodnia community Andrii Bohdan, all residents left the border village of Senkivka. When part of Chernihiv oblast was occupied, Senkivka was cut off from other Ukrainian territories. For more than six months there was no mobile connection in the village, and now there is no electricity. The residents were evacuated to other communities by volunteers.

Exhibits were taken out of the museum in Snovsk community to protect them from russian shelling. The “Lisograd” Museum and Memorial Complex for Partisan Glory is saving the exhibits since it is located only two kilometers from the border with russia, and the territory is often shelled by the enemy. Almost 150 items were transported from the village of Yeline to Chernihiv for temporary storage.

Residents of Chernihiv will be able to attend free home renovation courses. The training will be held by the Construction Lyceum and the Railway Transport Lyceum. Those interested will be taught the basics of plastering, masonry and electrical network repair, and will be able to practise new skills. The project is funded by the United Nations Development Programme and the EU.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk, the russian army continues to terrorize Nikopol district. During the night, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities were attacked with heavy artillery and Grad MRLS.

Marhanets TC was fired several times by the occupiers. The power line was damaged, as a result of shelling the pumping station was de-energized. 9 settlements of the community remained without water. That is approximately 45 thousand households. One administrative building and one car were battered. One car was destroyed.

The enemy shelled two districts of Dnipropetrovsk oblast with anti-aircraft guns and heavy artillery. There is destruction. There were no casualties.

In Nikopol district, the occupiers attacked Myriv and Marhanets communities. In Myriv, a dozen and a half private houses and farm buildings were damaged, and a power line and gas line were cut.

In Marhanets community, three private houses and an outbuilding were damaged by enemy shelling. One of the local enterprises was also affected. When it comes to Synelnykovo district, Velykomykhailivka community was attacked. Power lines are damaged

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia continues to support the recently reclaimed Balaklia, which became a friend city within the framework of the “Together!” project. Vinnytsia volunteers delivered aid, which was collected all over the city. The community will also participate in reconstruction of Balaklia. This was reported in the Vinnytsia City Council.

Specialists of city social services received 17 tablets, thanks to which it will be possible to optimize providing services to families in need. The devices were handed over to the employees as part of the project “Monitoring the needs and support of children in conditions of war” with the support of the Representative Office of the United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF, commissioned by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the National Social Service of Ukraine.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Haivoron, Kirovohrad oblast, employees of educational institutions prepared and handed over 45 buckets of dumplings to the soldiers at the front. According to Svitlana Matienko, an employee of the city’s education department, in addition to dumplings, half a hundred boxes of sweets, several types of cookies and marshmallows, were sent to the front.

Poltava oblast

“Autumn RUN” took place in Poltava. The event was held with the support of the Department of Youth and Sports of Poltava oblast and the regional center of civilians’ physical health  “Sports for All”. About 500 athletes participated in the event. Both children and adults ran different distances. Internally displaced persons and people with disabilities also took part in the race.

Kremenchuk received another humanitarian shipment from the Lviv Regional Military Administration. These are hygiene products, medical clothes, masks, baby diapers, first aid kits, warm clothes and blankets. Moreover, there are products for the kitchen, where up to 1K internally displaced persons are fed every day.

Cherkasy oblast

Olena Kavenska, a member of the public organization “Sich” informed that Cherkasy volunteers opened a humanitarian fund to support the people of Kherson. Now, there is a lack of the most necessary things, such as food and medicine, in the newly reclaimed city.

A second-grader Mariia Shemshur and her grandmother cooked pies with five types of fillings, donuts, pizzas, cookies and cakes for the fair, which the girl arranged under the entrance of the house. She sold the pastry to neighbours and collected 2 500 hryvnias to purchase generators for the military.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The situation towards Zaporizhzhia has not significantly changed. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied borders.

The occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Mali Shcherbaky, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Chervone, Novodanylivka, Iurkivka, Kyrpotyne, Stepnohirsk, Olhivske, Temyrivka, Shevchenko, Malynivka, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Dorozhnianka.

The police received 19 reports about the destruction of houses (apartments) and infrastructure facilities as a result of shelling by russian military personnel.

Oleksandr Starukh, the head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that on the night of November 14, the russian military launched a rocket attack on a village in Zaporizhzhia district. As a result of the impact, the power line was damaged.

Zaporizhzhia RMA reports on the increase of russian troops near Melitopol. Fortifications are being built around the perimeter of the city. Civilians are prohibited from approaching the airfield area. Convoys are arriving to the city from the side of Tokmak.

Local residents are being evicted from their homes in some temporarily occupied settlements of Zaporizhzhia oblast in order to house servicemen of the occupying forces.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv remains under threat of shelling by Grad and Smerch MLRS. Battles still rage in the southern direction, but russian troops are not yet far enough. Nataliia Humeniuk, head of the joint coordination press center of the defense forces of southern Ukraine, reported about this. According to Iurii Ihnat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, front-line areas are being shelled by rocket artillery, as well as S-300 anti-aircraft systems. The calm period can be linked with the liberation of the right bank of the Dnipro. The enemy focused its efforts on maintaining the grouping of troops in this direction. Also, the defense forces plan to install anti-aircraft defense equipment in the liberated areas.

Tonight, the occupying forces once again struck the territory of Ochakiv community. The information about damage and victims is being clarified. Law enforcement officers are working at the scene.

As of November 14, entry and exit from the newly reclaimed Snihurivka was restricted for another ten days, until November 24. According to the head of the Snihurivka city military administration, Ivan Kukhta, filtering measures and demining of social and residential facilities are ongoing in the city.

During the week from November 7 to 13, utility workers repaired 74 high-rise and private residential buildings in Mykolaiv damaged by shelling. Window openings with a total area of more than three thousand square meters were closed. Repair crews also restored 11 roofs with an area of more than 900 square meters.

Odesa oblast

The enemy ship group in the Black Sea consists of 12 warships. There is no missile carrier on duty among them. This was reported by the “South” Operational Command.

Over the last two days, on November 13 and 14, 12 ships with 400K tons of Ukrainian grain left the ports of Odesa. This was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine. In two days, the ports of “Odesa”, “Chornomorsk” and “Pivdennyi” accepted eight ships for loading. Currently, six bulk carriers are moving along the “grain corridor”, which will be loaded with 317K tons of grain.

Kherson oblast

The situation in the South Buh and Tavriia operational areas is consistently complex, but under the Defense Forces control. The enemy continues to set up defenses on the left bank of the Dnipro, tries to create additional lines of defense and hold the occupied lines. It continues to fire on our troop positions and freed settlements along the right bank of the Dnipro using aviation, heavy artillery,MLRS, and mortars. The air defense forces of Ukraine hit 4 enemy manpower, weapons and equipment buildups on the left bank.

On November 14, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Kherson, liberated from the russian occupiers. In a short briefing for the media, he thanked NATO and the countries of the world for their support to Ukraine, recalling that HIMARS air defense systems played a major role in the liberation of southern Ukraine. As part of a working trip to the newly reclaimed part of Kherson oblast, the President of Ukraine awarded Ukraine soldiers for their service during the liberation of Kherson and oblast.

A yellow-blue flag was raised above the police department in the liberated Beryslav, Kherson oblast. Beryslav was liberated from the russian invaders by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on November 11. Currently, the police are carrying out stabilization measures there.

Over the past two days, the police opened 51 criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes committed by the russian army on the territory of Kherson oblast.

The russian army shelled the areas of Dudchany, Zolota Balka, Mykolaivka, Mylove and Chornobaivka settlements with artillery. During massive shelling by the russian army, an enemy projectile hit the house of civilians. The family was under the rubble. Two women were killed, a four-month-old boy with serious injuries is hospitalized in Kryvyi Rih.

The police received reports from residents of the recently liberated Kherson about the facts of looting by the russian military and collaborators. Kherson residents are also contacting the police about water and road transport stolen from them by the russian military. The facts of looting are also reported in the recently liberated villages of Beryslav district.

Every day, the police record facts of people being injured by explosive devices left by the russian occupiers. In Kherson, an employee of the explosives department tripped over an enemy mine during the demining of an administrative building in the city center. Also, a resident of the village of Lvove, Beryslav district blew up on a mine.

Specialists of the DTEK company, who are working on the electricity supply restoration in the north of the liberated Kherson oblast, inspected 75 kilometers of power lines. 16 resistors are missing, and many wires are broken. Today the workers are inspecting the network near Davydiv Brid. It will take several weeks to restore the electricity supply in Beryslav.

Communication is being established using Starlink and generators, and the optical cable is also being restored in Kherson. This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. Mobile operators Kyivstar and Vodafone managed to deploy the first base stations. They mostly work on Starlink generators and terminals from the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Vodafone specialists have established a connection and are already working on the optical cable.

The humanitarian headquarters of Mykolaiv sent more than 25 tons of food kits, 26 pallets of products, and 3 tons of hygiene products to Kherson. An ambulance and more than 6 tons of medicines were handed over from Mykolaiv oblast to Kherson.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

About 400 wagons of the Volyn firewood will be sent to Mykolaiv oblast. Almost 700 trucks of wood have already been sent to the soldiers in Volyn. This is firewood for heating and timber for setting up checkpoints and defensive fortifications near the border.

Mayor of Lutsk, Ihor Polishchuk, met with the mothers of captured marines. During the meeting, the mayor promised to provide the city’s LED screens free of charge to display information in support of the defenders of Mariupol.

At the lyceum in Volyn a fair was held. An unusual lot was put up for sale by 11th grade student Yulia Shulyk, she was selling several copies of a book with her own poems. The funds collected at the event will be used for the needs of the Armed Forces.

In Lutsk, a charity event Step to Victory with the participation of famous singers of Ukraine and talented youth of Volyn was held to raise funds for an anti-drone gun for the Armed Forces.

According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Viktorovych, a native of Volhynia, was awarded with the Order For Courage of the 3rd degree (posthumously).

President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, while being in Kherson, awarded Ukrainian soldiers who liberated the city. Among them is Marine Sergeant Oleksandr Nakhod from Volyn.

Zakarpattia oblast

In the city council, a meeting with representatives of the Partnerstvo Fund and the investment company RSJ Investments was held. They discussed energy supply issues due to the destruction of energy infrastructure by russian aggressors, energy efficiency of buildings, water supply, etc.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Head of the RMA, Svitlana Onyschuk, warned that military exercises are taking place in Prykarpattia.

In the RMA, a meeting with the heads of specialized structural subdivisions of the RMA, regional administrations, services and representatives of the Government Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the RMA was held. They discussed social protection of persons with disabilities, implementation of social programs for their support, etc.

Three communities of the Verkhovyna district received the necessary humanitarian aid provided by international partners from Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany. The communities received food, blankets and hygiene products.

The RMA reported that from Ivano-Frankivsk oblast was sending warm clothes for the soldiers to the front line.

Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Marcinkiv, announced that a computer, monitor, scanners, printers, flash drives, LED lamps, and various batteries were sent to military unit A 1349.

The RMA reported that 16 family members of fallen soldiers from Ivano-Frankivsk oblast went to recover to Zakarpattia.

As part of another exchange of prisoners, Yaroslav Zhosan, a fighter of the Ivano-Frankivsk 10th Mountain Assault Brigade, was released. Now the soldier returns home, undergoes a full medical examination and further rehabilitation.

Lviv oblast

As part of a working visit to Great Britain, adviser to Head of the Drogobytsk District Military Administration, Oleр Baloр, met with Head of the Union of Ukrainians in Britain association in the city of Luton, Mykhailo Ogar, and philanthropist Alan Poole. They discussed the possibility of further cooperation and provision of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

The seventh humanitarian mission of volunteers went to the East. In three days, they managed to visit Kropyvnytskyi, Kramatorsk, Druzhkivka, Sloviansk, Lyman, Izium and Kharkiv, where they delivered a lot of humanitarian aid. It was delivered to the Defense Forces of Ukraine and to civilians, which now need both humanitarian goods and moral support.

The delegation of the Stryi City Council went to the east. As part of the 1K cars of freedom, fighters from the Stryi battalion drive two SUVs. A set of warm clothes, berets, food products, etc. are taken to the front. An ambulance is also being brought to Avdiivka. In total, over UAH 6 million were spent on humanitarian cargo.

Thanks to charity concerts, the Shehyniv community collected over UAH 100K. Culture workers will transfer all collected funds to the needs of the soldiers.

Rivne oblast

The rescuers from Rivne went to Kharkiv oblast for 2 weeks, where they will conduct briefings for the population on safety rules under martial law. The team is equipped with means of armor protection and first-aid kits.

Head of the Rivne RMA, Vitalii Koval, reported that the first 12 houses for over 40 IDPs are being installed on the territory of the Radyvyliv community. UAH 11.3 million has been allocated from the regional budget. He noted that installation of modular houses has begun within the framework of the Program for providing housing for internally displaced persons in Rivne region for 2022-2024.

Head of the RMA, Vitaliy Koval, announced that the eleventh security class was opened in Rivne oblast. He noted that now the children will be able to gain knowledge and applied skills in matters of fire and mine safety, pre-medical assistance and psychological relief, as well as life safety.

Ternopil oblast

Mayor of Ternopil, Serhii Nadal, announced that the title Honorary Citizen of the City of Ternopil will be awarded posthumously to 12 residents of Ternopil who defended Ukraine.

Almost 40K UAH was collected at the charity fair in Buchach. The collected funds will be used for the needs of the military.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The support mission of the Paris Center of the World Association of Organizations Operating Nuclear Power Plants (VAO NPP) has been launched at Khmelnytskyi NPP. The first stage of the mission is conducted in the video format. International experts will share their experience in ensuring the safety of NPP buildings and structures by monitoring their technical condition.

Khmelnytskyi oblast received almost 2 tonnes of humanitarian aid from the CF Tvoya Opora. The aid is intended for children who moved to the region fleeing the war. The cargo includes toys and sets for children’s creativity.

Thanks to the French non-governmental initiative European Shelter, 40 children whose parents have fallen defending their homeland went on a two-week trip to France. Boys and girls aged 10 to 17 will be able to rest and get positive emotions so needed in this difficult time.

Chernivtsi oblast

Employees of the Khotyn hospital collected UAH 35K. These funds were used to purchase the necessary clothing for the wounded soldiers. The items will be transferred to the military hospital of Mykolaiv oblast.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, announced $400 million in military aid for Ukraine and new sanctions against the russian federation.

Minister of National Defense of Lithuania, Arvidas Anusauskas, announced that Lithuania transferred to Ukraine a new batch of American M113 tracked armored personnel carriers, most of which are equipped with mortars.

Luxembourg sent 30 3D scanners to Ukraine, which can be used to scan large areas and collect evidence of war crimes committed by the russians.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Wopke Hoekstra, announced that the Netherlands will allocate over $25 million to support the Ukrainian army to provide rations, first-aid kits, ambulances, gasoline trucks and drone suppressors.

Britain announced the aid of $5.8 million for the restoration of the energy system of Ukraine.

The White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that the US is preparing a new aid package for Ukraine. Its scale will be announced within two weeks.

The EU officially launched a training mission for the Ukrainian military on its territory. 15K military personnel will be trained.

Another 66 military personnel from New Zealand will arrive in Great Britain to train the Ukrainian military.

In the city of Nowy Sonch (the Republic of Poland), training for rescuers of the State Emergency Service as part of the project Increasing the efficiency of the rapid response services of Ukraine – Stage IV began. During the week, emergency workers will be trained in rescue work during construction disasters and collapses, saving the injured, providing him/her with medical aid and evacuation.

In New York, the Julien’s Auctions was held. During the event, 6 Gibson guitars painted in the colors of the Ukrainian flag went off the hammer. Paul McCartney, co-founder of the Beatles, owned one of the instruments. All collected funds will go to support Ukraine.

The US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said that the US will announce sanctions against 42 individuals and companies that help russia buy weapons.

Prime Minister of Britain, Rishi Sunak, called russia a “rogue country” and proposed a 5-point plan to reduce its influence on the world economy.

The Czech Republic will send 15 Viktor air defense systems for Ukraine to combat drones.

Another financial aid will be paid to Ukrainians in Poland under the program of the German fund Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe.

Estonia suggests that the EU prepare a package of tough sanctions against Iran in advance and keep it ready for automatic activation in case it is confirmed that Tehran has transferred missiles to russia for use in the war against Ukraine.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielus Landsbergis, called on the EU to increase the supply of arms to Ukraine.

Minister of Foreign of Estonia, Urmas Reinsalu, said that Europe is still not doing enough to support Ukraine, compared to the US, and this should change.

Head of the Department of Public Relations of the Ministry of Culture, Lita Kokale, reported that in Latvia, over 120 objects were demolished as part of the law on the dismantling of objects glorifying the soviet and nazi regimes.

In the Antarctic, near the Vernadskyy station, a signpost was installed for Kherson, which was recently freed from russian invaders. The distance to the city is almost 15K kilometers. The participants of the 27th Ukrainian Antarctic expedition set up a marker for Bucha, another liberated town.
