War in Ukraine today: latest news, November 13, 2022 (photo)

It has been the 263d day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6pm:   

The enemy is trying to keep the temporarily captured territories, focusing efforts on restraining the actions of the Defense Forces in certain directions. At the same time, the enemy launches offensive operations towards Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka. The enemy continues to train mobilized personnel in military educational institutions, training centers and further transfers these persons to the areas of hostilities to replenish losses.

The enemy carried out 1 missile and 6 air strikes, as well as more than 14 attacks from rocket salvo systems.

The situation did not significantly change towards Volyn and Polissia. In the military commissariats of the Brest region, from November 7 to November 11,  measures to clarify the personal data of men of draft age took place. There is a constant threat of launching air strikes, including those by strike UAVs from the territory and airspace of the republic of belarus.

In other directions, the enemy fired towards:

Sloboda  from artillery of various types in the areas of the settlements of Strilecha, Starytsa, Buhruvatka, Okhirtseve, Riznikove, Vilkhuvatka, Kolodyazne, Bologivka and Fygolivka;

Kupiansk and Lyman from mortars, barreled and rocket launch systems in the areas of the settlements of Kyslivka, Kotlyarivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove, Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Terny and Zarichne;

Bakhmut from the entire range of artillery, in the areas of the settlements of Belohorivka, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Andriivka, Zelenopillia, Kurdiumivka, Ozarianivka, Zalizne and Niu York;

Avdiivka from artillery of various types, in the areas of the settlements of Vesele, Kamianka, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka;

Novopavlivka  from mortars, barreled and multi-rocket launch systems in the areas of the settlements of Paraskoviivka, Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenka, Pavlivka, Novoukrainka, Prechistivka, Velyka Novosilka, Vremivka, Temyrivka, Novopil, Olhivske and Poltavka;

Zaporizhzhia from artillery of various types, in the areas of the settlements of Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka and Mali Shcherbaky.

Towards the Tavriya, settlements Vyshchetarasivka, Mylove, Zolota Balka, Mykhailivka and Shevchenkivka were hit by fire. The village of Dobra Nadiia, Dnipropetrovsk oblast, was damaged by fire.

Stabilization measures are ongoing in the liberated settlements of Kherson oblast.

The enemy increased the group of occupation troops in the Melitopol region of Zaporizhzhia oblast. Fortifications are built around the city perimeter. Civilians are prohibited from approaching the airfield area. Convoys are arriving to the city from the side of Tokmak.

At the temporarily occupied settlements of Kakhovka, Tavriysk and Nova Kakhovka of Kherson oblast, a decrease in the number of enemy personnel is observed. There is a minimal number of occupiers, patrols are moving through the streets.

Ukrainian aviation inflicted 16 strikes on the enemy. 10 buildups of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as 6 positions of anti-aircraft missile systems were hit.

Our units of rocket troops and artillery hit a control point and 10 buildups of manpower, weapons and military equipment.

The ‘South’ Operational Command reports that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated 179 settlements. Since the beginning of the week in the south of Ukraine, the Defense Forces have liberated more than 4.5 thousand square kilometers. In the liberated settlements and in the territories of Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts, the units are currently carrying out stabilization measures, including mine clearance.

First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yevgeniy Yenin says that torture chambers of the occupiers were found in the liberated territory of Kherson oblasts. “We observe the traditional picture for the de-occupied territories. So-called torture chambers were widely used on the territory of police departments, people were kept in completely inhumane conditions, humanitarian convoys were shot. There are also dozens of property crimes against the civilian population.”

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the invaders shelled with mortars, tanks and artillery. Berestove, Kotliarivka, Krokhmalne, Kyslivka,  Makiivka, Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Tabaivka, Terny and Zarichne towards Kupiansk and Lyman and Bolohivka, Buhruvatka, Fyholivka, Kolodiazne, Ohirtseve, Riznykove, Starytsia, Strilecha and Vilkhuvatka towards Sloboda were under fire.

Head of the police investigation department, Serhii Bolvinov, said that 651 killed during the war were exhumed in Kharkiv oblast within two months.

About 3 K people returned to liberated Izium after the de-occupation of Kharkiv oblast in September. Head of the city council department, Maksym Strelnyk, admitted that the winter will be hard. According to him, about half of Izium residents remain in the city.

Yesterday, the invaders shelled civilians in Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Kupiansk regions. In Vovchansk, at around 4pm as a result of russian shelling an apartment in a high-rise building was damaged and a fire broke out. There were no casualties.

Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, informed no medic reports about injured civilians.

Mine clearance operations continue in the oblast. Pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service defused 404 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

Over 300 K people remain in Donetsk oblast despite the danger of shelling and the close frontline.

Spokesman of the Eastern group of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhii Cherevatyi, denied the invaders’ statement about the capture of Maiorsk settlement. “Hostilities continue in this area,” he said.

Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, reported that russians killed 2 civilians in Bakhmut. In addition, law enforcers found the bodies of 2 people killed during the occupation in Yarova and Yampil. Another person was injured.

At night, russians attacked the frontline and cities in the relative rear. Before midnight, they shelled Druzhkivka, damaging a cafe, and Sviatohirsk, where shells landed near the administrative building. There were no casualties, the extent of destruction is being clarified.

Towards Volnovakha, 4 buildings and a farm in Bohoiavlenka were damaged, Pavlivka and Vuhledar were also under fire. There were no casualties.

The night was relatively quiet towards Donetsk. Head of the Avdiivka City Military Administration, Vitalii Barabash, informed that there were isolated hits in the old and central parts of the city. The consequences are being established. About 2 K citizens remain there.

Towards Horlivka, the Maiorsk station in the Svitlodarsk community was affected.

Towards Lysychansk, there was another massive shelling of Torske and Zarichne in the Lyman community. The number of casualties and the extent of damage are being clarified.

The enemy launched a missile attack on Kurakhove in the middle of the day. One person was injured. There were no casualties. A missile hit a two-storey building and damaged 2 residential buildings and an administrative building in the neighborhood.

In Toretsk, a hospital, a maternity hospital and a dispensary were under enemy fire. There were no casualties, but the buildings were seriously damaged.

Russians are taking away new grain harvest from the temporarily occupied territories through Mariupol. Grain trucks are going to Krasnodar and Stavropol regions.

Luhansk oblast

According to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Ukrainian troops liberated Makiivka village in the Svatove region.

The RMA also noted that in the temporarily occupied cities of Luhansk oblast, russians claim to restore the communal infrastructure. But this is not true, there is no water and electricity and those people who did not leave the cities are planned to be moved to the surrounding villages.

The agency added that in the temporarily occupied Lysychansk people were informed that there will be no water and electricity supply until spring. To support the population, water is brought once a week, 20 liters per person are given for all their needs.

Also in Sievierodonetsk, people are promised to be relocated in empty houses in the surrounding villages, as all the surviving apartments, where russian troops were settled, have probably run out.

The invaders’ attacks were repelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka.

Russians targeted Bilohorivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Novoselivske, Ploshchanka and Stelmakhivka towards Kupiansk and Lyman using various types of weapons.

Tickets for the first three routes of the Kyiv-Luhansk train are already on sale. Tickets can be purchased, stored and used immediately after de-occupation. As soon as the movement will be restored, the railway will send a message with the date and place.

The legendary Train to Victory will serve those routes, the painted wagons of which are dedicated to the feats of people in the temporarily occupied territories.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Tickets to Victory is a charity project launched by Ukrzaliznytsia with the UNITED24 platform, within which you can buy tickets to 5 cities – the de-occupied Kherson, as well as Mariupol, Donetsk, Luhansk and Simferopol. The ticket is proposed to be purchased as a symbol of faith in the Armed Forces and liberation of Ukraine from the occupiers, and can be used immediately after de-occupation. All funds from the sale will be transferred to the purchase of last-mile transport, which will help connect cities and towns in the de-occupied territories with the nearest railway junctions.

The Kyiv RMA reported that restoration of the destroyed housing stock is one of the main priorities. Damaged roofs and facades are being repaired, broken windows installed in the communities of the oblast. Windows are being installed in 5 high-rise buildings, and the roof is being restored on one of the houses on the Bucha highway in Hostomel.

Generators are delivered to the regions of the oblast in case of emergency power blackouts. Generators were received in Makariv tol be installed in a modular town.

A two-storey modular town is being built in Irpin, which will be the largest in Ukraine. Housing is being built on the territory of the former Lastivka sanatorium. In total, there will be 276 apartments for city residents who have lost their homes.

Head of the Kyiv RMA Oleksiy Kuleba reports that one of the first humanitarian missions was sent to Kherson oblast. Medicines and hygiene products for the Beryslav region hospital will be transported by detours as most roads are mined.

Docudays UA, the documentary film festival on human rights, started in Kyiv. The festival was opened by the films “Mariupolis” and “Mariupolis-2” made by the Lithuanian documentarian Mantas Kvedaravicius, who was captured and later killed by the russians at the end of March. The tape “Mariupolis-2” was created from the saved fragments of the video shot by the Lithuanian director in Mariupol. The materials were saved and taken to Lithuania by his Ukrainian bride, where it was edited.

Zhytomyr oblast

The regional center organized a race dedicated to the liberation of Kherson. Residents of Zhytomyr ran the route with a GPS track in the form of the name of the city liberated from the russians. In total, they covered a distance of almost 10 km.

Head of the Zhytomyr RMA, Vitalii Bunechko, announces that educators who moved to Zhytomyr oblast from places where hostilities are ongoing will be the first to receive gadgets as part of the Laptop for Every Teacher project. According to him, educational institutions of Zhytomyr oblast have started receiving laptops.

Registration of children from 5 to 12 years old for the  Singing Action for Children project is ongoing in Zhytomyr. It is a safe space where children can receive psycho-emotional support through a program of informal education – creative, mobile and cognitive activities, interaction with other children and adults.

The famous Ukrainian group Kozak System presented a song about Kherson liberated from russian occupiers at the OKKO gas station near Zhytomyr. According to the group’s frontman Ivan Lenyo, the song was written in a bus on the way home – it is “the fastest release of a song from the birth to the audience.” It is symbolic that the people of Kherson who were returning home were at the gas station at that time.

Sumy oblast

Head of the Sumy RMA, Dmytro Zhivytskyi reported that the occupiers shelled the Seredina-Buda community. 12 hits from barrel artillery were recorded. The Esman community was also hit by fire, and the enemy hit it twice with mortars.

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that the enemy shelled four villages of the Shostka region. In the morning, Vovkivka was shelled – 20 hits, probably from MLRS, Khodyne – 20 times, probably from SPHs, Sosnivka – 8 hits, probably from a mortar. In the afternoon, the occupiers attacked Fotovyzh – 10 hits (the type of weapon was not established).

The Sumy’s head Oleksandr Lysenko reported that the regional capital decided to do without a Christmas tree this year. He noted that these funds will be spent on increasing defense capabilities, and expressed hope for the townspeople’ understanding. “After our victory, we will celebrate the New Year holidays with the most beautiful Christmas tree in the city center,” added the mayor.

Sumy hospitals received two ambulances from the German charitable foundation Netzwerk Maidan. Norbert Kale, the founder of this foundation, brought them to Ivano-Frankivsk. He also handed over 20 modern radiation protection suits, 15 panoramic masks with filters to the medics, medicines and warm clothes for the displaced. The first vehicle from this organization arrived in the summer and was transferred to the front.

Employees of the National Police of Sumy oblast organized and conducted a practical self-defense class for specialists of the Sumy City Center of Social Services. Social workers of the center deal with vulnerable groups of the population and during their work often find themselves in life and health threatening situations, therefore they especially need self-defense skills. During the class, various punching and release techniques were practiced.

Chernihiv oblast

Spokeswoman of the Chernihiv border detachment, Halyna Shekhovtsova, reported that the enemy shelled the Horodnia community with mortars. The shelling was carried out from the russian village of Chornozemny Gorodok. A total of 10 explosions were counted.

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that the occupiers launched mortar attacks on three border settlements of Chernihiv oblast. Mykolaivka, a village in the Nizhyn region, came under fire – 14 hits were recorded. Then, the village of Leonivka, the Semenivka community: 14 mortar hits and two explosions, probably from cluster munitions, were recorded.

Later, the russian military once again shelled the Semenivka community: there were 15 rounds, presumably from mortars and barrel artillery, in the village of Zelaznyi Mist.

Chernihivvodokanal received modern equipment for finding gaps in water supply networks from an Austrian company. The company announced this on its Facebook page. In addition to the equipment, the Austrians offered to conduct necessary training.

The Chernihiv RMA reported that a charity song tour Let’s Pray for Ukraine took place in the villages of the Mykhailo-Kotsyubynsky community in Chernihiv oblast. Local artists, together with the art school, collected funds for the Armed Forces to buy five sets of chainsaws, along with chains and oil, for the local military group. More than 100 hand-made trench candles were also handed over to the soldiers.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Head of the Regional Council Mykola Lukashuk, Nikopol was badly attacked  with heavy artillery and Hrad MRLS at night. The occupiers fired more than fifty shells in the area. As a result, two women, aged 46 and 82, were injured in Nikopol. Both are in a stable condition in hospital. One private house and two farm buildings were destroyed in the city. 

More than 40 residential buildings, the RATS building, a tire repair shop, a college, two dozens of farm buildings, several cars, gas pumps, and power lines were mutilated. Several villages of the Marhanets community there, came under enemy fire as well. Two private houses were affected. 

According to Head of the RMA Yevhen Yevtushenko,  the russian army also shelled the territory of the Nikopol region in the daytime.

Vinnytsia oblast

Military medic Natalia Fiyalova from the town of Bar, who was in russian captivity for almost 7 months, returned to Vinnytsia on the morning of November 13.  Her daughter, grandson and godfather met her on the station platform.

The community of Hopchytsi  reported that several hundred trench candles were produced and delivered to the front for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The solidarity of local residents made it possible to produce and deliver two batches of trench candles, each of which weighs 300 grams and burns for approximately 5-6 hours. Trench candles can be used both as a source of light and a compact and portable source of heating and reheating food. 

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, participants of a rally on the central square honored the memory of the fallen Ukrainians and thanked the military for the liberation of Kherson.

Poltava oblast

More than fifty internally displaced persons live in a new shelter in Poltava. The place was created by representatives of the Light of Hope charitable organization and financed by international partners.

Cherkasy oblast

According to Head of the Cherkasy State Administration Ihor Taburets, air defense was on alert during the air alarm siren. 

In Cherkasy region, wounded servicemen are treated free of charge in medical facilities. According to Vitalii Hryhoriev, traumatologist from Cherkasy, all costs under the medical guarantee program are covered by the state.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The Military Administration informed that the situation towards Zaporizhzhia remained unchanged, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on holding the occupied positions. According to the Main Department of the National Police in Zaporizhzhia oblast, invaders shelled civilian infrastructure near 20 settlements. The police received 31 reports of destruction of civilian buildings and infrastructure as a result of shelling by russian soldiers. During the TV marathon, the head of the RMA noted that russians attacked the region more than 80 times.

152 people, including 35 children, were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory.

As reported yesterday, russians attacked Zaporizhzhia with Iskander missiles. One cluster munition fell right in the yard among the civilian buildings. Today, the head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Starukh, said that special services neutralized fragments of a rocket with a cluster munition, shot down by the Air Defense Forces over Zaporizhzhia. The Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that the situation with critical infrastructure in the region remains difficult. Due to the damage to power lines, towers and equipment, 25,305 residents in 73 settlements were deprived of electricity supply. According to Zaporizhhaz, 150,277 citizens in 206 settlements are without gas supply. Due to the damage to main gas pipelines in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, 199 and partially 7 settlements are completely disconnected. In the government-controlled territories of the oblast, as a result of hostilities and shelling, 33 settlements of Polohy and Vasylivka regions remain without centralized water supply. 

Referring to the Mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, only 1 057 people were released by russian invaders through the checkpoint in Vasylivka during the week. At the same time, thousands of people are still waiting for their turn. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed that another wave of mobilized russian citizens arrived to the occupied Melitopol. Upon their arrival, russian troops are buying food, civilian clothes and a large amount of alcohol.

Mykolaiv oblast

The ‘South’ Operational Command reports that on the right bank of the Dnipro, since the beginning of the week, 179 settlements for more than 4.5 thousand square kilometers have been de-occupied. In the liberated settlements of Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts, units of the Defense Forces are carrying out stabilization measures and demining. Also, demining of the territory near the Dnipro-Mykolaiv pipeline continues.

According to Head of the OVA Vitalii Kim reports that at night, the Russians once again struck from the MLRS on the waters of the Ochakov community.

During the full-scale Russian invasion, 13,365 civilian objects were partially or completely damaged in Mykolaiv oblast. Among them are buildings, medical and educational institutions, industrial facilities, and critical infrastructure. Currently, work is underway in the oblast to restore gas and electricity supply in settlements affected by the war. 6,700 consumers are without gas supply. Power, water supply, and sanitation in 88 settlements have been completely suspended, the military administration reported.

Head of the regional council, Hanna Zamazeieva reported that 359 citizens who suffered from the attacks of the occupiers are in Mykolaiv hospitals. 41 more people received outpatient care. 

Dmytro Pletenchuk, the press officer of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, informed that the russian armed forces mined the houses of local residents, roads and left mines in open areas while retreating from Snihurivka. Stabilization and restoration works, including demining, are currently underway in the city. Specialists also started work on restoring electricity supply, which was absent in the city during the entire period of occupation, i.e. 8.5 months. The work of local administrations, medical and financial systems is being resumed.

Odesa oblast

The ‘South’ Operational Command reported that there are 18 ships of russian troops on duty in the Black Sea, including a missile carrier with 8 Calibers. Despite the relative calm, the command emphasizes that the enemy can use both airborne missile components and ground-based long- and medium-range missile systems at any time.

Head of the Balta community, Serhii Mazur, informed on handing over a field bakery to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The field mechanized bakery will allow fresh and warm bread on the battlefield. According to Mazur, the community is trying to support the military, thus bringing the victory closer.

Kherson oblast

According to Spokesman of the ‘South’ Operational Command Vladyslav Nazarov, on the occupied left bank of Kherson oblast, the russian occupiers continue to deport people from populated areas and erect fortification equipment. According to Deputy head of the OP Kyrylo Tymoshenko, the Russian military is shelling the positions of the Defense Forces and liberated settlements of the Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts with rocket salvo systems and artillery of various calibers. There are two casualties. 

Yurii Sobolevskyi,First Deputy Head of the Regional Council, announced that stabilization measures are being carried out in liberated Kherson, demining continues, filtering and resumption of critical infrastructure operation, and provision of medical assistance began. The banking system, communications, Ukrposhta services for delivering pensions are currently being resumed.

Yaroslav Yanushevych, Head of the Kherson RMA, reports that gas supply is being restored in the de-occupied part of Kherson oblast. Khersongaz specialists, accompanied by the colleagues from other regions, are actively repairing gas pipelines damaged by hostilities. It has been possible to restore the supply of natural gas to more than 300 residents of the liberated settlements of the region. Kherson manages to maintain gas supply, which is especially important due to the lack of electricity and water supply in the city, as well as cold weather.

According to RMA, medical institutions are resuming stable operation in Kherson. Currently, the city’s healthcare facilities are working as usual, providing necessary supplies and medical care. It is possible to get humanitarian medicines in the city. From November 15, representatives of the international organization Doctors without Borders will provide specialized consultations and issue necessary medicines on the Square of Freedom (Svobody Square).

Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian railway), together with the UNITED24 platform, is launching the Tickets to Victory charity project. From now on, symbolic charity tickets for the first 3 trains from Kyiv to 5 occupied cities, including the de-occupied Kherson, are sold. Funds from the sale of tickets will be transferred to purchase last-mile transport, which will help connect the de-occupied territories with the nearest railway junctions.

Oleksandr Todorchuk, Head of UAnimals, reports that the russian military stole all the animals from the Kherson zoo.The animals are currently in the Taigan Zoo of Crimea. The russian invaders stole all the animals – from raccoons to llamas.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

In Lutsk, the book How to Remain Human during the War by the Ukrainian poetess Lena Shtorm was presented. The book was created in the spring of 2022 on the basis of studied requests during a two-week volunteer consultation of victims as for the consequences of the russian invasion.

In the city of Rozhishche, Lutsk region, children make souvenirs and robotics from fragments of russian weapons and ammunition brought from the front line. After the fragments are painted, they are given to adults to be varnished. Ready-made amulets are sold for UAH 200. The collected funds are donated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA reported that Zakarpattia transferred the fourth bath and laundry complex to the front. The van has 4 showers, 3 washing machines, 2 dryers, an ironing area, and a barbershop. Defenders from the 105th battalion of the 63rd separate mechanized brigade will receive the special vehicle.

The RMA representatives took part in panel discussions within the Re:Open Zakarpattia 2022 forum. They discussed the integration of IDPs into the life of the oblast, the economy, the region’s development strategy under martial law etc.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The Kazakh diaspora in London sent 9 off-road vehicles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 4 cars will be sent to the military from the Ivano-Frankivsk community, who are currently in the battlefield. Two more SUVs will be given to the 78th Territorial Defense Battalion of Ivano-Frankivsk. The rest are for fighters from other communities of Prykarpattia.

The Coordination Center #SaveUkraineNow (SUN) bought a pontoon ferry for special forces and handed it over to the front line. Volunteers say that it is the most unusual request they received from the defense forces in eight months of operation.

Prykarpattia University signed a Memorandum of Mutual Understanding with the European Digital UniverCity (EDUC), an international alliance of European universities. The key direction of future cooperation is joint participation in studying the special needs of Ukrainian universities under occupation.

Lviv oblast

Within the framework of the signed Memorandum with the Support A fund, the Lviv RMA provided humanitarian aid to the fighters of the Azov units. Through the Coordination Center for the Provision of Humanitarian Aid, an ambulance was sent along with medicines and humanitarian aid.

Head of the RMA, Maksym Kozytskyi, says that everyone who lives in Lviv oblast and is in difficult life circumstances can get psychological help free of charge in advisory and coordination centers, which are deployed in all districts of the oblast.

Rivne oblast

Head of the Rivne RMA, Vitalii Koval reported that the oblast is ready to accept the largest number of IDPs among all the regions of Ukraine. He added that there are 38 023 IDPs in the oblast. The Head of the oblast also noted that there are 37 281 places in the reserve.

In Kvasylov, on the basis of the local lyceum, there is a volunteer workshop where uniforms for the armed forces are sewn. It was organized by professional seamstresses and teachers. Women collect money for materials and accessories at charity events, fairs and lotteries.

In the city of Dubno, a department for the organization of the patrol police service was opened. The staff of the department includes IDPs from Mariupol, Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk and other cities of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

Ternopil oblast

Plastuny organized a charity fair in Berezhany. Children sold goodies, hot drinks and decorations. The collected funds were donated to the CF Angels of Azov, which helps the families of Azovstal defenders and the defenders themselves after their return from captivity.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Measures are being taken to improve local warning systems. 10 automatic sirens are connected to the automated warning system of the region in Volochysk, Mykhailiutka and Yampil territorial communities. UAH 158K was spent on this from local budgets.

Head of the Khmelnytskyi RMA, Serhii Hamalii, announced that the RMA and the Khmelnytskyhaz company sent 300 heating devices to units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The photo exhibition Children’s Eyes of War opened in Khmelnytskyi. The exhibition will present photos of children living in Bakhmut, Soledar and Kramatorsk. The Protect Khmelnytskyi charity organization opened a fundraiser for buying gifts for these children.

Chernivtsi oblast

Serviceman from Bukovyna, Marko Chornyi, who moves on crutches after a leg operation, ran a mini-marathon to raise money for a minibus for his military sworn brothers. The military man was going to walk 20 km from Kitzman to Chernivtsi, but after covering 13 km, he collected over UAH 170K.

For the first time, South Korea will sell 155-mm artillery shells to the USA for further supply to the Ukrainian armed forces.

Ukraine will jointly build a small modular reactor with the US. It is smaller in size and capacity than those installed at present nuclear power plants and can be installed in hard-to-reach places where it is not possible to build large nuclear plants. According to the US State Department, the project is aimed at supporting Ukraine’s energy security.

President of South Korea, Yoon Seok Yeol said that russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a violation of international law and a threat to lives and rights of Ukrainians. He said Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence should be respected, and that South Korea would continue to increase humanitarian aid to the war-torn country.
