It has been the 439th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian federation continues to wage its aggressive war. Despite significant losses, it does not abandon its plans to occupy Ukrainian territory. Russia strikes and shells both military and civilian objects.

The russian army launched 11 missile strikes, 59 air strikes, and conducted 76 MRL attacks. Civilians have been injured, private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been destroyed and damaged. Ukraine is still under the threat of missile and air strikes.

The russian army continues to concentrate its main efforts towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Mariinka. Russian troops carried out about 30 attacks. Heavy fighting is raging for the cities of Bakhmut and Mariinka.

There are no signs of offensive group formation towards Volyn and Polissia.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains a military presence in border areas with Ukraine. They carried out mortar and artillery shelling in the vicinity of Berylivka, Moschenka, Halahanivka, Leonivka, Oleksandrivka, Buda-Vorobiyivska, Hremiac, Chernihiv oblast; Znob-Novhorodske, Stara Huta, Sumy oblast, as well as Hoptivka, Krasne, Zelene, Staritsa, Ohirtseve, Vovchanski Khutory, Karaiichne, Mala Vovcha, Mykolaivka, and Nesterne, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, russian troops did not carry out any offensive actions. They struck from aviation in the areas of Zapadne and Masiutivka. Russian artillery and mortar shelling targeted Kamianka, Topoli, Petro-Ivanivka, Fiholivka, Novomylnsk, Zapadne, Lyman Pershyi, Vilshana, Buhaiivka,Kharkiv oblast, and Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk oblast.

Towards Lyman, the russian army is trying to find weak spots in Ukrainian defense. They conducted offensive operations towards Bilohorivka, but did not succeed. They struck from aviation in the areas of Nevske and Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, and Verkhniokamianske and Spirne, Donetsk oblast. Artillery shelling targeted Makiivka and Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast, and Yampolivka and Spirne, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the russian army continues to conduct offensive operations. Fierce fighting continues to rage in the city of Bakhmut. Russian soldiers conducted unsuccessful offensive operations towards Ivanivske and Chasiv Yar. They launched aviation strikes in the areas of Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, and Predtechyne. Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Predtechyne, Oleksandro-Shultine, Diliivka, Druzhba, Zalizne, and New York in the Donetsk oblast suffered from russian shelling.

Towards Avdiivka, russian soldiers conducted offensive operations in the areas of Avdiivka and Pervomaiske, but without success. The russian army shelled Novokalynove, Berydychivka, Lastochkyne, Avdiivka, Severne, Vodyane, Pervomaiske, and Netaylove, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariupol, the russian army continues to attack the positions of defense forces. Battles for Mariinka are ongoing. In addition, Heorgiivka and Pobieda, Donetsk oblast were also shelled.

Towards Shakhtarsk, russian military did not carry out offensive operations. They launched the air strike at Velyka Novosilka and shelled Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, and Vuhledar.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the russian army is on the defensive. They shelled more than 20 settlements located near the front line. Among them are Vremivka, Novosilka, Zelene Pole, and Novopillia, Donetsk oblast; Olhivske, Huliaypole, Zaliznychnoe, Huliaipilske, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia oblast; Zolota Balka, Kachkaryvka, Zmiivka, Tiahynka, Antonivka, Dniprovskoe, Kizomys, Stanislav in the Kherson region, and the city of Kherson.

In the city of Skadovsk, the activities of the district and city administrations have been terminated. On the night of May 6-7, russian troops loaded documentation, office equipment, and other property of state institutions into a vehicle, and in the morning on May 7, a significant part of the russian occupation administration, along with their families, had left the city. Currently, a similar situation is observed in such settlements of the region as Mykhailivka, Petrivka, Shevchenko, Shyroke, Ulyanivka, and Krasne.

Taking into account long traffic jams created recently at the entrance to Crimea and in the area of the Kerch Bridge, russian soldiers plan to transport the documentation and stolen property from state institutions of the temporarily occupied Kherson region by sea, using a dry cargo ship through the port of Berdiansk.

The Defense Forces’ aviation conducted 11 air strikes on areas of buildup of russian personnel and military equipment. In addition, Ukrainian military destroyed a reconnaissance UAV of the “Zala” type.

Rocket and artillery units of Ukraine hit 3 areas of concentration of russian manpower, 2 ammunition depots, and 3 important targets of the russian army.


The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, informed in this address that he had submitted a draft law to the Verkhovna Rada on recognizing May 8th the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War. He also signed a decree that Ukraine will celebrate Europe Day on May 9. 

First Deputy Minister of Health Serhiy Dubrov announced that since the full-scale war began, russia destroyed or damaged 1,433 medical facilities in Ukraine. 177 medical institutions were completely destroyed.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy launched air strikes near Zakhidne and Masiutivka in Kupiansk region. At least 19 settlements were under attack.

According to preliminary information of Oleh Syniehubov, head of Kharkiv RMA, in the evening, the invaders launched S-300 missiles. There were at least six hits. There were hits in Kharkiv region. Emergency services are working at the site. Information about casualties and the extent of the destruction is being clarified.

Ihor Terekhov, Kharkiv Mayor said that preliminary, there were no hits after the russian missile strikes: the invaders targeted the suburbs.

Yesterday, the enemy launched air and missile strikes, artillery and mortar attacks at settlements in Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Izium regions.

As a result of 2 S-300 missile attacks on Balakliia, Izium region, the territory of the car park was damaged.

Based on the information provided by the updated information of the Regional Emergency Medical Centre, 7 civilians were injured. Four of them had light injuries and did not require hospitalization. Three people sustained moderate injuries and were hospitalized.

At least 3 private buildings and a car were damaged as a result of shelling in Vovchanski Khutory village, Chuhuiv region.

In Buhaivka village, Chuhuiv region, a 67-year-old woman was injured. She was hospitalized in a moderate condition.

Mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service defused 21 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

According to an illegal investigation by the Donetsk People’s Republic Prosecutor’s Office, the so-called ‘Donetsk People’s Republic’ is preparing a trial over a 20-year-old Ukrainian marine Vasyl Shytr, accused of killing residents of Mariupol.

Petro Andriushchenko, Mariupol Mayor’s Councillor reported that mobilization has begun in Mariupol. Male state employees are already undergoing a medical examination in the intensive therapy hospital.

At night, russians launched 6 missiles at the industrial area of Kramatorsk, no casualties.

Towards Donetsk, a building in Kurakhivka was damaged and Kurakhove also was under attack. There was shelling of Marinka and the outskirts of the community.

Towards Horlivka, a private building in Kostiantynivka was damaged. In Toretsk community, 1 person was injured and a building in Shcherbynivka damaged. There was also destruction in Nelipivka and Petrivka, but no one was injured.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk RMA, informed that yesterday russians injured two civilians in Scherbynivka and Katerynivka.

Referring to the Pokrovsk City Military Administration, a square, a boulevard and 40 streets and lanes were renamed.

Luhansk oblast

There was no russian ground activity towards Luhansk yesterday, the enemy attacked in our direction only south of Bilohorivka, namely near Spirne. However, the enemy does not stop artillery and air pressure on the settlements along the frontline. They are using multiple rocket launchers and air strikes as evidenced by the latest airstrikes on Bilohorivka. Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka once again were under artillery and mortar attacks.

According to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, at the same time, we are able to monitor the enemy’s actions in the rear. This allowed us to destroy another russian station for Murom-M long-range visual surveillance on our frontline, which autonomously detects manpower and equipment.

The occupation authorities of the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic” received an order to form special camps for men of draft age. They will be placed there in case of forced evacuation of the population and the escape of collaborators from the occupied territories. The men will be separated from their families and handed over to the russian military.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Last night, russia attacked Kyiv oblast with drones. The Air Force Command reported the downing of all 35 Iranian-made Shahed-136 and Shahed-131 drones that attacked the area from the northern direction.

The KCMA reported that five people were injured due to the night attack on the capital. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported that in the Solomianskyi district, a 10-ton fuel tank was damaged by debris, a car burned, 15 trucks and 5 cars were damaged; in the Svyatoshynskyi district, debris fell on a multi-story building – the facade of the building and windows, window units of a neighboring building, 11 cars and a high-pressure gas pipe were damaged. In the Holosiivskyi district, debris fell on an open area with subsequent burning.

The Kyiv RMA reported that no facts of hits were recorded in the oblast. As a result of falling debris, a private house in one of the communities, power lines and two cars were damaged. Also, due to the fall of the fragments of the drones, the firefighters eliminated the ignition of dry grass.

The spokesperson of the European Commission, Eric Mamer stated at the briefing that the European Commission welcomed Ukraine’s statement regarding the celebration of Europe Day on May 9 and confirmed that the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will visit Kyiv. On Europe Day, she will meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and confirm the EU’s steadfast support for Ukraine.

Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Ruslan Kravchenko said that negotiations are ongoing with UNICEF regarding the implementation of programs for the development of complex social services in communities affected by russian aggression. In particular, it is about equipping high-quality shelters in kindergartens and schools, purchasing school buses, providing inclusive resource centers with the necessary equipment, expanding opportunities for young people, ensuring high-quality water supply.

Hatne head Oleksandr Palamarchuk said that a modern shelter with full interactive equipment was created from the old basement of the local lyceum in the village. The shelter was equipped with televisions, Internet, bathrooms, generators, gyms and showers, and professional ventilation with temperature control was installed.

Zhytomyr oblast

The Zhytomyr RMA reported that the oblast has already sheltered 132 displaced persons with the help of an evacuation train. Recently, the fifth evacuation train with displaced people from Donetsk oblast arrived in Berdychiv, bringing 16 people.

The IT project “Boost Main Academy”, aimed at displaced children from orphanages and low-income families was launched in Zhytomyr. They will be trained in IT professions for free, so that in the future they will be able to get internships at Ukrainian and international IT companies. The All-Ukrainian online school for teenagers was organized by the BoostHubUa team together with Main Academy.

During April, 5 powerful generators were delivered to hospitals in Zhytomyr oblast by the mission of the United States Agency for International Development in Ukraine (USAID). The Zhytomyr RMA reported that they will provide reliable power supply for medical facilities in the Ovruch, Slovechne and Zhytomyr communities.

Pavlo Tanasiuk, a British-Ukrainian entrepreneur from Zhytomyr, who lives in Great Britain, will travel three continents by bicycle, raising money to support Ukrainian military veterans and their families. The man is the founder of the British-Ukrainian space startup Spacebit, he was born and raised in Zhytomyr. As part of his Ride for Victory charity bicycle tour, Pavlo will start from Washington at the end of May and plans to ride almost seven thousand kilometers through the USA, Japan and European countries.

Sumy oblast

The Sumy RMA reported that the enemy shelled 8 communities in the oblast with mortars and barrel artillery, hitting their territories 106 times. In Seredyna-Buda community, two apartments in a high-rise building and a warehouse were damaged by artillery shelling. In the Znob-Novhorodske community, a power line, three private houses and a car were damaged.

During the night, the occupiers shelled the border region four times, three civilians were wounded. The russian military attacked the Znob-Novhorodske community from aviation, as a result of which three people were injured, as well as the destruction of premises. 20 explosions rang out in the village of Stara Huta in Seredina-Buda community, artillery shells damaged a school and two households. Two mines exploded on the territory of Novoslobidske community.

The Police of the Sumy oblast reported that an unexploded aerial bomb was found near one of the villages in the Seredina-Buda community. The FAB-500M aerial bomb was destroyed on the spot by sappers, the explosion created a hole 5 meters deep and 12 meters in diameter.

A russian drone was shot down in the Konotop region. Parts of the UAV fell on a private house of local residents, and a 13-year-old child was injured. The wreckage of the drone caused the house and the area around it to catch fire, the fire was extinguished.

Ukrenergo reported that about 1,000 consumers remain without electricity in Sumy oblast. We are talking about the residents of the Seredina-Buda community – they found themselves without electricity due to russian shelling, which caused damage to the power grid.

The daughter of the deceased defender from Okhtyrka received the “Golden Star” award from the hands of the President of Ukraine. Valery Hlebov, who served as the commander of a motorized infantry company in the 93rd “Kholodny Yar” brigade, was killed near to Bakhmut on November 24, 2022. He was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine.

In Trostianets, temporary migrants received humanitarian aid from the ACTED Ukraine fund. Aid in the form of food kits for long-term storage went to migrants with disabilities, parents of children with disabilities and other vulnerable categories.

Chernihiv oblast

The Chernihiv RMA reported that in the village of Orlykivka of the Semenivka community, a residential building and three outbuildings were damaged by fire, and one person was injured. The fire occurred due to the fall of ammunition and their fragments during hostilities. On the same day, the enemy dropped a guided aerial bomb on the village of Zarichya in the Snovsk community.

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that the occupiers continued shelling Chernihiv oblast. 8 mortar hits were recorded in the Halahanivka area. On the territories of the Berylivka and Moschenka villages of the Horodnya community, the russian military fired 41 shots from barrel artillery. Later, another 33 shells were fired at Moschenka. 4 hits were recorded in the village of Hremyach, Novhorod-Siverskyi community. 6 artillery strikes were recorded in the village of Leonivka, 4 in the Aleksandrivka region, and 16 self-propelled guns were struck in the Buda-Vorobyivska region.

Head of the Chernihiv RMA Vyacheslav Chaus announced that over the past week, Chernihiv oblast has been shelled by the russian military 75 times. 10 residents were injured, two of them died. Many buildings and infrastructure facilities have been damaged and destroyed, the evacuation of citizens from the shelling zone is ongoing.

The Ichnyan City Council reported that the community received a fire truck and special firefighting equipment from Poland. Help was provided by the Polish community of Dembitsa. In addition to the car, the Polish partners handed over special pumps for water intake and firefighting uniforms.

Charitable sports competitions were held in the Sosnytsia community in Chernihiv oblast. During the event in the village of Kudrivka, which was attended by the former Dynamo player Vladyslav Vaschuk, more than 15 thousand hryvnias were collected and handed over to support the defenders of Ukraine.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to the head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk, the russians launched a missile attack on the Pavlohrad region this afternoon.  According to preliminary data, the enemy fired an Iskander at the Mezhyrich community.      

Maria Arshynnikova, a schoolgirl from Dnipro, has come up with the idea to create the website, which briefly told the history of Ukraine in 15 articles from Kyivan Rus to the russian-Ukrainian war of 2022. She called the project “15 Steps to Ukrainian Unity”. Maria consulted with historians and linguists, as the site has been translated into five languages.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​UAH 32,400 to purchase a buggy for the Ukrainian military was raised during a sports fishing championship for children in the Yakushynets community. 70 children participated in the event. 

Kirovohrad oblast

According to the press service of the Oleksandriya City Council, a veteran soldier from Oleksandria, Serhii Maidaniuk, won a prize at the national qualifying competition for the Invictus Games in Lviv. Serhii lost his leg in August last year in war. 

Poltava oblast

Almost UAH 100 thousand for the “Prostheses for the Invincible” was raised at charity Ferrexpo Health Marathon in Horishni Plavni, raising almost UAH 100 thousand for the “Prostheses for the Invincible”.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, reported that a mobile medical and dental complex was delivered to the Ukrainian military from Cherkasy oblast.  It has everything necessary to provide dental care to the soldiers from diagnostic equipment to medical supplies. A four-wheel drive vehicle was also sent for medical service and evacuation. 

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

In the past two days, russian military forces launched 174 attacks on Zaporizhzhia oblast, including artillery attacks, various types of multiple rocket launcher systems, missile complexes, bombings, and UAVs. Buildings belonging to civilians in the Zaporizhzhia, Polohy, and Vasylivka regions were destroyed, and three people were injured.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 99 attacks on 21 settlements in the region, including 89 artillery attacks, 7 MLRS attacks, 2 aviation strikes, and 1 UAV attack. Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Tavriiske, and Novoiakovlivka were once again under enemy shelling.

As a result of the russian attacks, a person was killed in a fire. It broke out in an 80-square-meter single-story building in Zaporizhzhia region. 

Collaborators, together with their families, are leaving the occupied territories and calling on people who have received russian passports to do the same. According to Iurii Malashko, the head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, the occupiers are evacuating civilians, taking them to russia through Crimea or Donetsk oblast. The occupiers have also canceled some events for May 9 and extended the curfew, and imposed restrictions on mass people gatherings.

According to the General Staff, russian occupiers are evacuating locals from the temporarily occupied Tokmak towards Berdiansk. The procedure applies to representatives of the occupiers’ authority, collaborators, children, teachers, and educators. Parents are threatened that if they refuse to “evacuate” their children, academic year won’t be counted in their children’s curriculum. Fuel queues are observed at gas stations, and all drivers are informed that no new fuel supplies are planned.

Mykolaiv oblast

On the night of May 7, the russians launched missile strikes on Mykolaiv oblast. The rockets hit buildings in Kostiantynivka community. The shelling affected a mobile hospital of the Red Cross. As a result of the shelling, neither medical workers nor patients were injured.

Today, the Mykolaiv Emergency Hospital received a shipment from the charitable foundation “Tactical Affairs” from Lviv with a total value of over 15,000 euros. The provided aid includes sets for primary surgical treatment of wounds, sets for external (urgent temporary) fixation of limb fractures with high-quality carbon fiber beams and rapid installation systems.

Odesa oblast

On the night of May 7-8 the enemy attacked Odesa oblast with eight missiles from Tu-22m3 long-range bombers. In total, eight launches were made from the area of Cape Tarkhankut (occupied Crimea). Some of the missiles did not reach their targets. According to the “South” Operational Command,  the russian X-22 missiles were directed at a warehouse of one of the food enterprises and a recreational area on the Black Sea coast.

As a result of the missile strike in Odesa oblast, a leased warehouse of the Odesa Regional Organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society with an area of ​​1000 square meters was completely destroyed today. The fire completely destroyed the humanitarian aid for the Odesa oblast, which was stored in the warehouse. At the time of the missile strike, there were no representatives of the Red Cross on site.

The head of the fire and rescue service from the Kingdom of Norway Dag Botnen (“Haugaland brann og redning IKS”) handed over the keys to three cars for the Odesa and Kherson garrisons at the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Odesa oblast.

The volunteer team from Dobroslav again delivered assistance to the defenders on the front line. Vehicles with aid for the Armed Forces of Ukraine went to Bakhmut and Kherson.

Kherson oblast

The enemy shelled Zolota Balka, Nova Oleksandrivka territorial community, and Kachkarivka,  Mylivka territorial community, with small arms artillery. The administrative building and rural outpatient clinic were partially damaged in Zolota Balka as a result of the attack. One person was injured in Kachkarivka.

Today, russian military personnel shelled Stanislav in the afternoon. There are wounded people. As the head of the Kherson RMA, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported six people were injured, including a child. The russian army struck Antonivka, injuring two people.

On May 7, russian occupiers shelled peaceful settlements in Kherson oblast 42 times. They fired 282 shells from artillery, multiple rocket launchers, mortars, tanks, and aviation. The enemy attacked Kherson 7 times, firing 19 shells at the city. Due to russian aggression, two people were injured yesterday.

The number of fatalities from the russian terrorist strike on Kherson has risen to 24. This morning, a 54-year-old woman died in the hospital from severe injuries sustained during the russian shelling of the city on May 3.

A tractor drive blew up on an enemy mine on the outskirts of the village of Olhyne. The man was traveling on a dirt road to cultivate his land and ran over an anti-tank mine. As a result of the explosion, the 54-year-old driver received blast injuries and multiple burns on his body.

The occupiers are shutting down the regional and city administrations in Skadovsk. On the night of May 6-7, the occupiers loaded documentation, office equipment, and other property of state institutions into their vehicles, and by the morning of May 7, a significant part of the russian occupation administration had left the city with their families. A similar situation is currently observed in such settlements in the region as Mykhailivka, Petrivka, Shevchenko, Shyroke, Ulianivka, and Krasne.

On May 8, the South Anti-Aircraft Defense Forces shot down three russian drones over Kherson. This was reported by the “South” Air Defence Forces.

Volunteers from the international aid headquarters have completed their twelfth humanitarian mission in Kherson oblast, providing two off-road vehicles, an ambulance, generators, a quadcopter, food packages, medicine, a sapper bag, flashlights, and other items to the soldiers of the 124th territorial defense brigade of Kherson oblast, as well as military units A7049 and A7372.

The Kherson Regional Clinical Hospital received an ambulance of type “B” from the European Union. It is equipped with everything necessary for saving patients’ lives and urgent evacuation.

The firefighters of Kherson oblast received a new fire truck from the charitable foundation “Heart of the Ukrainian Nation.” Also, the foundation delivered 1,920 fire extinguishers, including 1,670 for firefighters and 250 for law enforcement officers.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

In Lutsk, the memory of the victims of the Second World War was commemorated. Representatives of the government, military, clergy and caring citizens of Luhansk laid flowers at the monument to the Unknown Soldier and observed a moment of silence in memory of all those whose lives were taken by the war.

Zakarpattia oblast

The oblast received regular passenger buses from the Hungarian Veszprem. This is already the second batch of transport, the first buses from the oblast were sent to liberated territories of Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk, a TurBot for IDPs chatbot to help displaced people has started working. The chatbot is designed to help IDPs integrate into communities.

On Ivano-Frankivsk’s birthday, children drew pictures in the center of the city. Almost half a thousand drawn pictures will be sent to defenders to support their fighting spirit.

Lviv oblast

The Lviv health department reported that during the war, over 150K Ukrainians received medical care, namely emergency and planned care, prevention, vaccination, etc., in the city/

The RMA reported that in Chervonohrad, the Foundation for Development and Strategic Changes NGO sent a SUV to the mortar brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine.

In Lviv, a Ray charity art auction was held. The goal is to raise funds for the creation of an operating theater in the shelter of the Lviv Regional Clinical Perinatal Center worth UAH 5.5 million.

The RMA reported that people who took part in the russian-Ukrainian war and have the status of a person with a disability as a result of the war can receive material assistance from the regional budget for improving their physical and mental health.

A TurBOTa about IDPs chatbot has been introduced. The chatbot is designed to help IDPs integrate into communities. The chatbot will help IDPs from Kyiv, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi.

Rivne oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Oleksandr Kharchenko and Eldar Salimov, representatives of the UNDP technical assistance program in Ukraine. They discussed installation of a biogas plant at the Rivneoblvodokanal enterprise to produce electricity for own needs and for sale.

Ternopil oblast

The Recovery Army government project is being implemented in Ternopil oblast. It was introduced to attract people who have temporarily lost their jobs to perform socially useful works. During the past week, employment centers of the oblast engaged 34 people to perform socially useful works.

A car for soldiers was sent to the front from Ternopil volunteers.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Another rotation of the mission of IAEA took place at the Khmelnytskyi NPP. International experts awarded Andrii Koziura, general director of the Khmelnytskyi NPP, with an award for compliance by the team of nuclear workers with all safety and security principles.

In Khmelnytskyi community, a mobile brigade was created to study the needs of seriously injured defenders, released from the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It consists of representatives of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Department of Health Protection and the Khmelnytskyi City Center of Social Services.

Chernivtsi oblast

Residents of Nedoboiv community sent humanitarian aid, namely fruits, vegetables, meat, pastries, coffee, tea, medicines, clothes and drawings from children, for soldiers in Donetsk and Kharkiv oblasts.

The RMA reported that the Regional Philharmonic named after Hnatyuka held a series of concerts at the Chernivtsi Military Hospital to help Ukrainian Heroes recover faster and return to a full life.

The Financial Times reported that the EU may include Chinese companies in the 11th sanctions package for the first time. In the EU, it is proposed to introduce sanctions against 7 Chinese companies that, bypassing the sanctions, supply the russian federation with components that can be used for the production of weapons. These are two companies from mainland China and two companies from Hong Kong.

The US is confident that the Ukrainians shot down the russian kinzhal missile with the Patriot complex. “Although the Patriot system is successful against ballistic missiles, its ability to stop hypersonic missiles from the air was purely theoretical until last week. On May 8, for the first time, the Embassy of Ukraine in Germany will not place flowers next to soviet symbols. “The time for correcting historical mistakes has come. Ukraine is reclaiming its own: its history and its memory,” the embassy said in a statement.
