It has been the 435th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian federation continues to wage an aggressive war. Despite significant losses, they refuse to abandon plans to occupy Ukrainian territory. The russian army continues to disregard the laws and customs of war, using terrorist tactics and striking both military and civilian targets.

The russian federation launched another massive attack on Ukrainian territory, using Iranian UAVs “Shahed-136/131”. 18 out of 24 were destroyed by the Ukrainian military.

Russian troops launched 6 missile strikes on the cities of Kramatorsk and Zaporizhzhia, carried out 66 airstrikes and made 33 rocket artillery strikes on Ukrainian military positions and civilian settlements. There are casualties and injuries among the civilian population, and private residential buildings, educational institutions, and other civilian infrastructure have been destroyed and damaged.

Ukraine is still under the threat of missile and airstrikes.

The russian army continues to concentrate on conducting offensive operations towards Lyman, Bakhmut, and Mariinka. About 50 russian attacks were repelled. The most fierce battles are raging near Bakhmut and Mariinka.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, no signs of forming russian offensive groups were detected. 

On the Siversk and Sloboda, russian soldiers carried out artillery and mortar shelling of populated areas in Yeline, Mykolaivka, Ivanivka, Buchky, Hremiach, Chernihiv oblast; Uralove, Porokhon, Studenok, Shalyhine, Rivne and Boyaro-Lezhachi, Stukalivka, Bilopillia, Oleksiivka, Yunakivka and Slavhorod, Sumy oblast, as well as Hlyboke, Vesele, Vovchanski Khutory, Karaiichne, Bochkove and Budarky, Kharkiv oblast. Private houses were destroyed and damaged, and there were casualties among the civilian population.

Towards Kupiansk direction, russian troops did not conduct offensive actions. Populated areas of Kamianka, Dvorychna, Zapadne, Lymanskyi Pershyy, Kyslivka, Krokhmialne, and Berestove of Kharkiv region were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.

Towards Lyman, the russian army carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of the southwestern outskirts of Spivne. Artillery shelling affected Makiiivka, Andriivka, Hrekivka, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast; Torske, Verkhniokamianske, and Spivne, Donetsk oblast. 

Fighting continues to rage in the city of Bakhmut. In addition, russian soldiers carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards the populated areas of Bohdanivka and Markove. Nyzhniotepli, Vasiukivka, Novomarkove, Markove, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Dyliivka, Zalizne, and New York, Donetsk oblast suffered from russian shelling.

Towards Avdiivka, the russian army did not conduct offensive actions but shelled Avdiivka, Pershomaiske, Netaylove, and Karlivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, the russian army is trying to improve its tactical position. Numerous russian attacks have been repelled in the area of Mariinka. At the same time, Krasnohorivka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast were shelled by russian troops.

Towards Shakhtarsk, russian soldiers shelled Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, Prechistivka, and Shakhtarske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the russian army continues to conduct defensive operations. They shelled over 50 settlements, including Vremivka, Novosilka, and Novopil, Donetsk oblast, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, and Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region, Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk oblast, Dudchany, Zmiivka, Ivanivka, Dniprovskoe, Kizomys, Kherson oblast, and the city of Kherson.

Russian occupation forces continue to suffer heavy losses on the battlefield, with all medical facilities in temporarily occupied territory overwhelmed with wounded russian soldiers. As a result, the russian army continues to equip civilian educational institutions as medical facilities. For example, in the village of Myrne, Zaporizhzhia oblast, russian troops are setting up a military hospital in the sports hall of a local school. Russian soldiers are forcing the teaching staff to continue the educational process with mandatory attendance by schoolchildren.

The Aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted six strikes on russian personnel concentrations. In addition, four Lancet barrage munitions were destroyed.

Rocket and artillery units of Ukraine struck five russian personnel concentration areas, two ammunition depots, and one radio-electronic warfare station.


Ukraine ranks 79th in the press freedom rating. This was made public by the World Press Freedom Index 2023. Journalists in Ukraine are in greater physical danger than ever. 

In the near future, the entire civilian population will be evacuated from Avdiivka. This was reported by the head of the joint center of the defense forces in the Tavry region, Serhii Telyatskyi. In the beginning of the year, all civilian population was evacuated from Mariinka. 

As a result of the Russian night attack, the equipment of one of the thermal power plants of DTEK Energo was damaged. This was reported by DTEK. Since September 2022, the russians have attacked DTEK Energo power plants 31 times.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy shelled at least 13 settlements.

Ksenia Kalashnikova, the organiser of the charity fair said that they raised UAH 150K for a car for the military in Peresichne.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reported that in Nikopol village, Izium region, a tractor exploded on an unknown explosive object while working in the field. The 37-year-old tractor driver was injured and hospitalized.

Border and frontline settlements in Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Izium and Kupiansk regions were under russian attack yesterday. Yesterday, the enemy fired at Kopanky village, Izium region. There were no casualties or large-scale destruction. In Bochkove village, Chuhuiv region, a residential building and outbuildings were damaged by enemy shelling. A private household was damaged as a result of shelling in Vilkhuvatka village, Kupiansk region.

Vovchansk, Strilecha, Dvorichna, Lyman Pershyi and other settlements were also under enemy attack. There were no civilian casualties over the day.

Mine danger remains high. Yesterday, a tractor exploded on an unknown explosive object near Pohonivka village, Izium region. The 58-year-old driver was hospitalized with numerous injuries.

Donetsk oblast

Oleksii Roslov, head of the Kostiantynivka City Military Administration said that on 4 May, Russian troops shelled several settlements of the community with multiple rocket launchers. One person was injured.

Russians launched two S-300 missiles at Kramatorsk last night, hitting the area near the college. Debris damaged a kindergarten, the building of the Kramatorsk Professional College of Industry, Information Technology and Business of the Donbas State Engineering Academy and nearby residential buildings. There were no casualties.

Towards Volnovakha, Novoukrainka and Prechystivka were shelled, damaging a building.

Towards Donetsk, Avdiivka was shelled with artillery and Grad rockets and an air strike damaged buildings and the territory of a company. In Kurakhove community, 6 buildings were damaged in Hannivka and 3 in Uspenivka. There was shelling of Marinka and Krasnohorivka.

Towards Horlivka, 1 person was injured in Mykolaivka of Kostiantynivka community. In Kostiantynivka, 5 private buildings and 3 apartment buildings were damaged. Another 7 buildings in Chasiv Yar community, 11 in Soledar community and 22 in Toretsk community were damaged.

Towards Lysychansk, 1 person was killed in Zarichne of Lyman community. 4 buildings were damaged in Siversk community.

Ministry of Energy informed that residents of 105 settlements in Donetsk oblast have no electricity supply in their homes. Two mines in Toretsk are also without power. This is the aftermath of the night shelling of Donetsk oblast.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration said that yesterday Russian troops killed 2 civilians: in Velyka Novosilka and Zarichne. Another 9 people were injured.

Petro Andriushchenko, Mayor’s Councillor reported that the invaders are transporting less equipment and ammunition through Mariupol. The city is being reinforced and the Ukrainian troops are waiting for a counter-offensive.

Luhansk oblast

Yesterday Makiivka and Bilohorivka were attacked with artillery.

The enemy is not reducing its firepower, trying to hit the settlements and positions of our military. They use both rocket and cannon artillery. Russians are also increasingly using outdated models of infantry fighting vehicles that were previously out of service. They are now returning them to have something to fight with. They recently lost two more BMP-1s.

Near Bilohorivka, the enemy tried to find weaknesses in our defense, but their offensive actions were unsuccessful.

Luhansk Regional Military Administration reported that russian troops have increased the number of checkpoints around Luhansk, where they check all men. Recently, they stopped a bus from Dovzhansk. Of the five men, who were taken out for inspection, only three returned. The checks of mobile phones for information in applications have intensified.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

At night, the aggressor again carried out a complex air strike on the capital – attacked with the use of Shahed barrage ammunition and ballistic missiles. All enemy missiles and UAVs were destroyed in the airspace of Kyiv by Ukrainian air defense forces. About 10 pieces of debris fell in the Shevchenkivskyi, Pecherskyi and Podilskyi districts of the city, due to which parked cars and the road surface were partially damaged.

The Kyiv RMA reported that non-residential buildings were damaged on the territory of one of the communities due to an enemy attack. This is the fourth attack on Ukrainian cities in the last week. The air alert on the territory of Kyiv oblast lasted for 4 hours.

The Kyiv RMA reported that system alert is being tested in the Kyiv oblast in order to check the updated software of the territorial automated system of centralized alert.

Israel’s early warning system begins work in Kyiv this week. This was reported by the Jerusalem Post with reference to the Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk. The system was tested for four months. It has powerful radars that determine exactly where the missile is flying, so the warning signal is turned on sectorally. Also, the siren gives a special signal that informs about how many minutes the population has to reach the shelter.

Vitaliy Klychko, the capital’s mayor, informed about the meeting in Kyiv with the mayor of Brussels Philippe Close and the delegation of the Belgian capital. Philip Klose handed over two modern ambulances to the city, which will save the health and lives of civil residents of Kyiv in conditions of constant massive shelling from the russian federation.

The Kyiv regional emergency department reported that residents of Kyiv oblast continue to find enemy ammunition near their buildings. Another russian missile, which was discovered by a resident of the village of Nalyvaykivka of the Bucha region near his own garden, has been defused. In the village of Hostomel, a local resident found an RGD-5 grenade on his plot of land while mowing the grass.

More than 330,000 internally displaced persons are registered in the oblast. Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the Kyiv RMA, said that a total of 88 compact living spaces for internally displaced persons have been created in the oblast, 16 of them are modular towns. 7.5 thousand people can live there, currently 3.5 thousand of them are free. Several programs for the reconstruction of damaged housing have also been developed in the oblast.

The Department of Education and Science of the Kyiv oblast reported that in three months, 856 people were trained in the Education Hub of the Kyiv oblast. Coordinators developed 45 programs, conducted 56 trainings, courses, seminars. Psychological and emotional support can be obtained at the institution.

Zhytomyr oblast

The Zhytomyr regional military administration reported that since the beginning of the war, the oblast has become a safe haven for more than 66,000 displaced people. Among them are 345 wards of social institutions and persons with disabilities from Donetsk, Kherson, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions. Social institutions in 14 communities of the oblast provided their support for the wards of social institutions that were damaged or destroyed due to russian rocket strikes and constant shelling.

In Zhytomyr’s Shoduari Park, veteran Ivan Khalus creates a sculpture “Freedom” from oak, dedicated to the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. According to the sculptor, the idea of creating a work arose even in advanced positions. The author works with a chainsaw on an oak tree that fell due to bad weather. Together with the creation of the sculpture, Ivan Khalus is collecting funds for the purchase of a thermal imager or a drone for the 95th brigade.

Major repairs are underway to the bridge on the Kyiv-Chop highway in the Zhytomyr oblast, which was damaged by explosions at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. As reported by the Regional Infrastructure Development and Reconstruction Service, the crossing over the Dubovets River has not completely lost its ability to pass traffic, so the works are being carried out in stages so as not to slow down traffic on the road of international importance.

The pyrotechnic unit of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Zhytomyr oblast received an ambulance from benefactors. This is the first of nine medical vehicles provided by volunteers of the Association of Medical and Charitable Aid France – Ukraine Charitable Foundation.

Sumy oblast

The Sumy RMA reported that the russian occupiers shelled 6 communities in the Sumy oblast, striking their territories with 67 hits. Myropillia, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Znob-Novhorodske, Vorozhba and Seredina-Buda communities came under shelling. The enemy used mortars and artillery. A local resident of retirement age was injured in Yunakivka hromada, and a private home was damaged in Vorozhba community.

The Sumy RMA reported that the enemy continued to attack the border region – shelling was recorded in 9 communities. A total of 108 explosions were counted: mortars and artillery were fired, and two aerial bombs were dropped. In the village of Uralove, Znob-Novhorodske community, a local school was damaged by an airstrike. Khotyn, Krasnopillia and Myropillia communities were shelled with mortars. Artillery fired at Yunakivka, Shalyhine and Esman. Human dwellings were damaged in the Shalyhine community. 50 mortar hits and one artillery hit were recorded in Bilopillia region.

The Command of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Ukrainian military shot down a self-made reconnaissance drone in the border region of Sumy. “The home-made design is assembled from various parts and elements, very strange from the point of view of the basics of aerodynamics,” the report says.

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that the occupiers shelled the Nova Sloboda community with mortars: in the village of Boyaro-Lezhachi, a local resident was wounded and a house was damaged. The village of Rivne also came under shelling.

The Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported that 18 medical institutions in Sumy oblast offer free psychological assistance to patients. Assistance is provided by institutions that have signed a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine for the package “Support and treatment of adults and children with mental disorders at the primary level of medical care.”

Chernihiv oblast

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that the russian military dropped a guided aerial bomb on the village of Ivanivka in the Novhorod-Siverskyi region – a woman was killed and three men were injured. Also, 5 buildings were damaged, including one educational institution. According to the head of Chernihiv RMA Vyacheslav Chaus, 17 strikes were recorded on the territory of Chernihiv oblast during the past day: settlements of Novhorod-Siverskyi and Koryukivka regions were shelled.

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that the occupiers managed to shell three communities in Chernihiv oblast. The villages of Hrinivka of the Snovsk hromada, Buchki of the Novhorod-Siverskyi hromada, Klyusy and Yeline in the Snovsk hromad were under shelling. The enemy used mortars, 31 hits were scored. Also, 3 rockets fired from helicopters fell on the territory of the village of Buchki.

The State Emergency Service of Chernihiv oblast reported that a tractor blew up on explosives in the Kyselivka community during field work. The explosion went off near the village of Tovstolis. It is likely that the cause was the detonation of an anti-tank mine.

Volunteers of the Chernihiv oblast announced a photo book about the heroes of Chernihiv. The author of the project, Chernihiv photographer Vlad Speshilov, collected portraits of citizens who remained in the city during the 38-day siege of Chernihiv.

The vocal and choreographic festival “There is no end to the Cossack race” took place in Nizhyn. During the event, students of 16 Nizhyn educational institutions paid tribute to their ancestors, the Nizhyn Cossacks. The children also remembered their current defenders – soldiers of the Armed Forces.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

At night, the russian occupiers shelled Nikopol. One person was wounded. 11 private residential buildings and 9 outbuildings were damaged. A gas pipeline and an industrial enterprise were affected, and a fire broke out there, it was extinguished by the emergency services. In the evening, the city was shelled again.

Dnipropretrovsk oblast received 36 modern ambulances.

Representatives of the UN High Commissioner’s Office, and the embassies of Norway, Sweden, and the Netherlands were shown the russian destruction of the Kryvyi Rih region. The southern communities of the Kryvyi Rih region suffered the most from russian shelling.  In the village of Velyka Kostromka, the attacks continued for over six months.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​A unique program to help wounded soldiers and their families is being implemented in Vinnytsia oblast. For almost two months, a mobile team has been visiting 38 wounded defenders in the Vinnytsia region to provide comprehensive medical, psychological, and social support. The team consists of specialists from the region’s relevant departments and employees of district military administrations.

Kirovohrad oblast

The assault troops of the 121st separate Kirovohrad Territorial Defence Brigade, in cooperation with the Naval units, have undergone training. They practiced loading and deploying personnel into a helicopter, landing, moving to a target, and capturing the target.

Poltava oblast

Kremenchuk’s Pravoberezhna City Hospital has received assistance from the American people and the Help Heroes of Ukraine charity fund. The humanitarian aid included various medical products: surgical kits, antiseptics, medical gowns and shoe covers, medicines, catheters, diapers, as well as blankets for newborns, and much more.

Cherkasy oblast

41 companies have relocated to Cherkasy Oblast from the areas where hostilities are taking place. Currently, Cherkasy Oblast has the potential to host and assist business relocation since it has more than 700,000 sq m of free space for production facilities.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to Yuriy Malashko, the head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, on the night of May 4, the russian army shelled Zaporizhzhia once again. Private houses were damaged.

Over the past day, on May 3, the russian military shelled 20 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. They launched one missile and three air strikes, attacked five times from UAVs, once from MLRS and used artillery 101 times. 

As a result of the night attack by the russian army in Zaporizhzhia, private houses were damaged. The blast wave smashed windows and damaged roofs. No one was killed or injured.

In the temporarily occupied Melitopol, Ukrainian partisans have repainted the graffiti Z on the flag of Ukraine and left a message to the russian fascists. “russian occupier, you have little time left. Leave Zaporizhzhia, otherwise you will leave as a cargo 200,”  the author writes.

The russians are organizing searches of Melitopol residents suspected of supporting Ukraine and taking people to an unknown destination, with their families sometimes not knowing anything about their fate. But according to British  military intelligence, russia wants to show that the situation in the occupied regions is normalizing.

Mykolaiv oblast

Volunteers of the Mykolaiv branch of the “Steel Ants” network delivered humanitarian aid to the de-occupied settlements of the Novokakhovka community: they brought bread, household chemicals, and clothes. They unloaded the trucks under an enemy drone.

“Nibulon” has become a humanitarian demining operator in Mykolaiv oblast, having received a certificate from the Center for mine action of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for non-technical survey of territories. Now the company’s sappers have the right to conduct reconnaissance of the company’s territories and assess the degree of their contamination with explosive objects. It is noted that this is only the first step towards demining Ukrainian lands. In the future, the company plans to obtain certificates for technical survey of territories (TS), manual demining (MD) and survey of the area of hostilities (SAH).

Odesa oblast

In Odesa oblast, the night of May 3 to 4 was marked by several hours of air raid alerts, during which the enemy attacked our oblast with 15 “Shaheds”. The air battle in Odesa lasted more than two hours. Almost everyone in the city heard the roar of a flying “motorbike” above their house that night. The air defense forces shot down 12 attack drones, and three drones hit the dormitories of one of Odesa’s educational institutions. The fire was quickly extinguished. Fortunately, no one was injured. The shanks of the drones were “sacredly” marked with the reason for the attack – “For Moscow” and “For the Kremlin”, –  ‘South’ Operational Command reported.

In the Odesa oblast, private entrepreneurs, farmers and charitable organizations handed over another aid to the Ukrainian army on Podilsk, the main square of the city: four cars, a UAZ trailer and four tires; concerned citizens also bought ten tires for an army truck, batteries and thermal imagers.

Kherson oblast

Today, russians bombed Kizomys and Beryslav in Kherson oblast. Two people were injured as a result of the attacks. This was reported by the press secretary of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Tolokonnikov.

Russian occupiers fired 98 times at civilian settlements in Kherson oblast. They fired 539 shells from artillery, MLRS, mortars, tanks, drones and aircraft. russians shelled Kherson residential areas with massive fire – they fired 16 times, firing 82 shells. They hit Pryvokzalna Square, the territory and buildings of the railway station, a gas station, two retail establishments, a factory and a car repair shop, and the territory of a railway crossing. This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

The russian army killed 23 residents of the Kherson region, 46 people were injured. Among the injured are two children, a 6-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl.  In memory of the people killed by the aggressor state, the Kherson Regional Military Administration declares May 4, 5, and 6 as days of mourning.

A consolidated demining unit of the National Guard of Ukraine is conducting humanitarian demining of agricultural areas in Kherson Oblast. In total, in less than a month of work in the area of Bezvodne and Muzykivka, about 960 hectares of land, 9.5 km of roads, 13 km of power lines were surveyed and 136 explosive devices were destroyed (neutralized).

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

A regional conference on barrier-free accessibility was held in Lutsk. Volyn RMA signed a declaration of support for the National Strategy for the creation of a barrier-free space in Ukraine for the period up to 2030.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA reported that in Zakarpattia started the Security of information technologies: ITSEC International scientific and technical conference.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA reported that Mitroforne Archpriest Father Mykhailo Vozniako, Chaplain of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade Edelveis, presented Svitlana Onyshchuk, head of the RMA, with the flag of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade with a signature and words of thanks from the chaplains of the brigade.

Lviv oblast

Yesterday, russian terrorists fired at a passenger train in Kherson (Kherson-Lviv), injuring the conductor. The train crew, despite the chaos and the air alarm, moved two passengers with reduced mobility from the evacuation car to shelter a few minutes before the impact, and then promptly unhooked the burning car from the train. The train left with a delay of only 14 minutes, and arrived in Lviv exactly on schedule. Unbroken Ukrainians were met with applause.

The RMA held a meeting with Antonio Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Ukraine. The training of psychologists and the reconstruction of medical facilities in the oblast were discussed.

The RMA held a meeting with Marco Settembre, vice president of Nestlé in Europe, and Alessandro Zanelli, general director of Nestlé in Ukraine and Southeast Europe. Investing in the development of the Superhumans Center (the modern clinic for prosthetics, reconstructive surgery, rehabilitation and psychological support) was discussed.

The RMA held a meeting with Murat Suleimanov, Mufti of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Ukraine Umma. They discussed cooperation between Lviv RMA and the Muslim community of the oblast to help those who suffered because of the war.

In Horodotsk community, an administrative building is being reconstructed for housing for IDPs thanks to a memorandum between the Horodotsk City Council, the With an Angel on Shoulders CF and the Fundación Enfermeras de Navarra/Nafarroako Erizainen Fundazioa Spanish CF.

The first medical association of Lviv received a modern ambulance equipped with all necessary equipment from the Sunflower Association of Ukrainians in Italy, with the assistance of Father Augustyn Babyak and parishioners of Trento and Bolzano.

In Lviv oblast 7 projects for young people, financed by the Lviv Regional Youth Center and a grant from the British Council in Ukraine at the Embassy of the United Kingdom, are implemented.

The Drohobytsky maternity hospital received 4 neonatal pulse oximeters, a bilirunometer, 4 Optiflow oxygen mixers and 5 delivery beds from the International Medical Corps UK Foundation.

90 people from among IDPs who found shelter in Drohobych region and belong to vulnerable categories of the population received humanitarian aid from the NEEKA CF.

Rivne oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Jan Bishop, representative of the veteran organization of policemen from the city of Eibergen (Kingdom of the Netherlands). The rehabilitation of the Ukrainian military was discussed.

The city council of Rivne held a meeting with the German delegation led by Zoren Benn, Mayor of Pankov. They discussed implementing long-term social projects in the city.

The RMA held a meeting with Valdemaras Sarapinas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine. They discussed Lithuania’s assistance in rebuilding the third building of the Klevansk veterans’ hospital in Rivne oblast.

The veteran organization of police officers from the city of Eibergen (Kingdom of the Netherlands) handed over 4 tonnes of humanitarian aid, namely medical equipment, hygiene products, household items and food, to the Rivne oblast.

The sixth group of experts of IAEA started their duties at the separate unit Rivne NPP.

Ternopil oblast

Kharkiv oblast received a mobile sawmill LT-20 worth UAH 2 million sent with the assistance of Ternopil RMA. There are only 10 of them in Ukraine.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

A With Ukraine in the Heart charity event in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was held at the Khmelnytskyi Regional Philharmonic. During the patriotic concert, an art auction of military artifacts (captured by our soldiers in battle) was held. The funds will be donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Chernivtsi oblast

Six communities of Bukovyna received 13 powerful generators from the American Howard Buffett Foundation thanks to the activities of the United States Agency for International Development USAID with the assistance and coordination of the DOBRE Program.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The US announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth $300 million, which includes missiles for HIMARS systems 155 mm howitzers and artillery shells for them mortar shells of caliber 120 mm, 81 mm and 60 mm missiles for TOW anti-tank systems AT-4 and Carl anti-tank weapons systems Gustaf anti-aircraft missiles Hydra-70 small arms and ammunition ammunition for removing obstacles trucks and trailers for transportation of heavy equipment equipment and spare parts for maintenance and repair of transport.

The Norwegian government reported that the country allocated €378 million in aid to Ukraine within the framework of the Nansen Support Program in Ukraine. €235 million of them will be used for humanitarian needs, and another €143 million will be allocated to support the budget area and restore damaged infrastructure. Norway will provide €1.2 billion each year for the next five years from 2023 to 2027.

Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, announced that the EU will provide Ukraine with ammunition worth €2 billion and continue the “economic visa-free regime”.

The Canadian Embassy in Ukraine reported that Canada sent the first batch of demining equipment worth $16.5 million to the State Emergency Service.

Ukrenergo reported that the SEPS Slovak operator of the transmission system will send to Ukrenergo eight trucks of equipment for restoration of mainline substations damaged during russian missile attacks and shelling.

Melanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, announced that the country introduced sanctions against iranian companies and officials liable for human rights violations and production of military drones used by russia in Ukraine.

Alexander de Croo, Prime Minister of Belgium, announced that the country is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine. According to him, the Belgian government is also studying how frozen russian assets can be used to help Ukraine.

Following the summit in Helsinki, leaders of Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Finland and Sweden issued a joint statement supporting Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration. In a statement following the summit of Ukraine and Northern Europe, leaders of the Nordic countries emphasized that “the future of Ukraine and its people lies in the Euro-Atlantic family.”

Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Ulf Kristersson, Prime Minister of Sweden. They discussed  further defense assistance to Ukraine and negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Denmark. They discussed supporting Ukraine in the fight against the russian aggressor.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Katrin Jakobsdottir, Prime Minister of Iceland. They discussed the current situation in Ukraine and war related challenges.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Piotr Hofmanski, President of the International Criminal Court, and Osvaldo Zavala Aguilar, Secretary of the International Criminal Court. Bringing to justice all those guilty of war crimes against humanity and the genocide of the Ukrainian people was discussed.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at the summit of the countries of Northern Europe.

Google with the support of the Ministry of Digital launches an online course on artificial intelligence for business and personal development in Ukraine. The course will teach how to apply artificial intelligence in various fields, from marketing to catering management without coding knowledge.

The World Press Freedom Index 2023 reported that Ukraine ranked 27th in the press freedom rating. Now journalists in Ukraine are in the greatest physical danger than ever.

Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, stated that the country is working with partners on options for supplying Ukraine with F-16 fighters. There are no bans.
