Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian troops launched air strikes on five settlements. At least 19 settlements were attacked with artillery and mortars.

Residents of Husarivka disappeared during the occupation in March 2022. They were villagers returning from a farm where they were feeding cows. One of five men was found in the basement. The invaders burned the body of the deceased. Investigators have been searching for the bodies of  other villagers for over a year.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that the night attack by 18 drones in Kharkiv oblast last night was the “most massive” during the full-scale invasion.

Last night, the enemy attacked Merefa, Kharkiv region, and Izium with Shahed UAVs.

In Merefa, a civilian enterprise was damaged and a fire broke out. In Izium, a building of an educational institution and a garage with agricultural machinery were damaged and fires broke out. Preliminary, there were no casualties as a result of the night strikes by Shaheds.

Yesterday, the enemy shelled settlements of Kharkiv, Kupiansk and Chuhuiv regions. In Vovchansk, Chuhuiv region, 2 residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged. The shelling of Mala Vovcha village, Chuhuiv region, damaged 4 private buildings and outbuildings and led to a fire. A private residential building was damaged in Tsyrkuny village, Kharkiv region. The shelling of Kupiansk damaged a building and a garage.

In Protopopivka village of Balakliia community, Izium region, 2 men were injured by an unknown explosive object. A 39-year-old man, who was carrying a suspicious object in the sidecar of a motorbike, died on the spot. A 45-year-old man, who was nearby, was injured and hospitalized in moderate condition.

Donetsk oblast

Towards Avdiivka, Ukrainian border guards repelled a ten-hour-long assault. Russian troops used chemical weapons and heavy equipment.

Russian troops also shelled frontline villages with artillery. Two women were injured in Torske and a man killed in Vasiukivka.

In the afternoon, russian troops launched a missile attack on downtown Avdiivka. A cruise missile hit an apartment building.

Oleksii Roslov, head of Kostiantynivka City Military Administration, informed about russian shelling in the afternoon. A 73-year-old woman was injured.

Russians dropped a FAB-250 bomb on New-York – 1 person was injured. The city was hit this morning – 3 apartment blocks, a nursery, an outpatient clinic, a cinema and a gym were damaged.

The previous day, russians hit the dam of the Karlivka Reservoir, putting 6 settlements with a population of 981 people under threat of flooding. Yesterday, 26 people, including 8 children, were evacuated from the threatened area. This morning, the situation has stabilized and the water level is falling. Transport connections in the community are working.

Yesterday, russian troops shelled 7 cities and settlements. A total of 15 civilian objects were damaged and a dam destroyed.

Towards Volnovakha, russians shelled Shakhtarske of Velyka Novosilka community, damaging 3 buildings.

Towards Donetsk, Marinka and Heorhiivka were shelled overnight and 1 person killed in Krasnohorivka. Kurakhove was shelled twice – at least 2 private buildings and one 2-storey building were damaged.

Luhansk oblast

In both directions of our frontline, the enemy keeps trying to improve the tactical situation. The situation in Bilohorivka, which russians are trying to storm every day, is getting more complicated. Yesterday, russians shelled the settlement with cannons and multiple rocket launchers, conducted an air strike and launched an infantry attack. But our soldiers, who are desperately defending the settlement, stopped the enemy. In addition to Bilohorivka, the invaders targeted Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Nevske and Dibrova.

Referring to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, even russian heraldry experts are furious at the poor quality of the works that were put up for voting earlier this week to determine the new coat of arms by the occupation authorities of Sievierodonetsk. Earlier, this event was declared a shame in front of the city’s founders – chemists and builders. And yesterday, even representatives of the aggressor country appealed to local pseudo-leaders to stop the vote on the election of Sievierodonetsk’s coat of arms “and not to embarrass their city with such symbols, which were poorly prepared by amateurs”.

Residents of Borove, a settlement near Sievierodonetsk, also agree that the occupation administration is amateurish. At the end of February, they asked for help after the streets of the settlement were flooded with groundwater. They were heard a month later, inspected the territory of the settlement that could be reached by transport, because there was no other, and were told to wait for a decision. The solution came on its own. A week before summer, when the water that had been standing in the streets for three months began to disappear. However, it still remains in the yards and basements of buildings.
