Georgia authorizes flights for the first airline from russia. 5 airlines have applied for direct flights between russia and Georgia. Among them is Georgian Airways. Givi Davitashvili, Head of the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia, announced that one of them has already been tested, namely Azimuth, which will be able to service flights from May 17. Today, the Civil Aviation Authority of Georgia issued the relevant permit.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian forces launched 2 missile attacks on Kostiantynivka, Donetsk oblast, using S-300 air defense systems. In addition, there were 38 airstrikes and over 25 MLRS attacks. 

There is still a high threat of further missile and air strikes across Ukraine.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka with 37 combat engagements taking place. Bakhmut and Marinka remain at the epicenter of the fighting. 

There were no major changes in the Volyn and Polissya directions. 

At the Siversky and Slobozhansky directions, the enemy fired mortar and artillery shells at the settlements of Yeline and Muravy in Chernihiv region; Vovkivka, Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyno, Shpil, Stepok in Sumy region, as well as Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, Lukiantsi, Hatyshche, Budarky, Nesterne, Kruhle, Zemlianky, Starytsia in Kharkiv region.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy continues attempts to improve the tactical situation. There were unsuccessful offensive actions against Masiutivka. There was an airstrike near Kyslivka. Dvorichanske, Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Mytrofanivka, Fiholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Kindrashivka, Kupiansk, Kyslivka, Tabaivka, Berestove in Kharkiv oblast and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk oblast were subjected to artillery and mortar attacks. 

Towards Liman, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions. There was an airstrike in the area of Spirne. Makiivka and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region oblast and Verkhnekamianske and Spirne in Donetsk oblast came under artillery fire.

The enemy continues to conduct offensive actions towards Bakhmut, for which heavy fighting continues. In addition, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards the village of Ivanivske. Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Druzhba, Pivnichne, Petrivka, Toretsk in Donetsk oblast were affected by shelling.

In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy continues to destroy the infrastructure of localities, launched air strikes on Avdiivka, shelled Stepove, Lastochkine, Avdiivka, Pervomayske and Karlivka in Donetsk region.

Towards Marinka, Ukrainian defense forces repelled numerous enemy attacks. At the same time, Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Heorhiivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk oblast came under hostile fire.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy fired at Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Novoukrainka and Shakhtarske over the last day.

The enemy continues to conduct defensive actions towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. There were airstrikes on the settlements of Vilne Pole in Donetsk oblast, Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia oblast and Stanislav in Kherson oblast. Meanwhile, Burlatske, Vilne Pole, and Novopil in Donetsk oblast, Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Huliaipolske, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia oblast, as well as the city of Kherson were shelled. 

Recently, in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast, persons who agreed to cooperate with the russian occupiers have been offered to renounce their Ukrainian citizenship in writing and accept russian citizenship. Those who refuse are threatened with dismissal from their jobs and further persecution.

To enhance control over residents of the temporarily occupied Crimea, operational groups of the ministry of internal affairs and the russian federal security service conduct raids on railway and bus stations. First of all, Crimean Tatars are subject to verification. 

Aviation of the Defense Forces conducted 7 strikes on buildups of enemy personnel and military equipment, as well as 7 strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems. 

Over the course of the day, rocket and artillery units hit a command post, 2 buildups of manpower, 3 artillery units at firing positions, 2 electronic warfare stations, and an occupation ammunition depot. 


According to the Children of War platform, as a result of the full-scale invasion, russia killed 481 children. More than 973 children received injuries of varying severity.

Andrii Cherniak, representative of the Defense Intelligence, says that more than 150 K russian troops remain in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. They are not only preparing for the battle, but also forcibly evacuating civilians.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the russian army shelled at least 22 settlements in Kharkiv oblast. 

In Kharkiv, doctors for the first time fitted a bioprosthesis to a dog that was injured during a russian shelling. Vitalii Kluban, Chief Doctor of Kharkiv veterinary hospital said that its paw was amputated.

As of mid-May, 28 sports facilities were destroyed in Kharkiv oblast as a result of the fighting, with the total damage amounting to UAH 650 million.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv RMA, reports that the enemy shelled the frontline village of Dvorichna in Kupiansk region again. There were civilian casualties: two people killed, a 66-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man.

In addition, a civilian man of 52 years old received shrapnel wounds and was hospitalized. Currently, doctors are providing assistance to the victim.

russian occupants fired at Kupiansk and Chuhuiv regions with artillery, mortars and aircraft. In particular, Kamianka, Krasne Pershne, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Tabaivka and other settlements were under enemy fire.

Donetsk oblast

Hanna Maliar, Deputy Defense Minister, says that the russian army is bringing airborne assault units to the outskirts of Bakhmut.

Ukrainian defense forces destroyed two russian tanks, including a T-90, an infantry fighting vehicle, four unmanned aerial vehicles, two mortars, a cannon and two field ammunition depots in the Liman-Kupyansk sector of the frontline. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also eliminated 158 Russian soldiers.

Towards Bakhmut, border guards shot down two russian UAVs in the morning. They were ‘landed’ with the help of anti-drone guns.

Serhii Cherevatyi, Spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informs that the Defense Forces have advanced on the flanks of Bakhmut from 350 meters to 2 kilometers in some places. There were 34 combat engagements in Bakhmut sector, 479 attacks with various systems and artillery, and 4 air raids. According to Cherevatyi, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated 149 occupiers, wounded 160, and captured 6.

Ivan Vyhivskyi, Acting Head of the National Police of Ukraine, says that a car of the police unit White Angel came under fire near Chasiv Yar in Bakhmut region. Five crew members were injured as a result of shelling by the russian military. 

Four people were killed in a missile attack on Avdiivka. russians attacked the city with missiles this morning, hitting a hospital. As of 3 p.m., they are trying to clear the rubble at the site of the attack, where people may be trapped.

The day before, missiles were launched twice at Kramatorsk, destroying a house whose residents had evacuated. Two civilians were wounded.

Towards Volnovakha, Prechystivka of Vuhledar community, Burlatske and Shevchenko of Komarska community came under fire.

Towards Donetsk, 3 people were wounded in Kurakhove – 7 high-rise buildings were damaged in the town. Ostrovske, Vovchenka and Hirnyk were also shelled. At night Avdiivka was shelled with Grad rockets, as well as Marinka and Heorhiivka.

Towards Horlivka, 2 people were wounded in Kostiantynivka, 10 private houses, 7 multi-storey buildings and a school damaged. In Toretsk community, 5 houses were damaged: 2 in Pivnichne and 3 in Druzhba. In Chasiv Yar community, 3 houses were damaged.

Towards Lysychansk, 1 person was wounded and 1 house destroyed in Siversk. There were 18 attacks on Lyman community, with no casualties or damage.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of Donetsk Military Administration reports that russians wounded 7 residents of Donetsk oblast: 3 in Kostiantynivka, 3 in Kurakhove and 1 in Druzhkivka. 

Shubin, a character from local mining legends, was included in the regional register of intangible cultural heritage of Donetsk oblast in April 2023. The initiators were employees of Pokrovsk Historical Museum.

Luhansk oblast

On May 14, russians shelled Stelmakhivka, Makiivka and Bilohorivka with artillery and mortars. The long-suffering Bilohorivka also withstood an airstrike. The settlement has been shelled 24/7 and is almost destroyed. The enemy cannot advance there, so they are destroying it with artillery and aircraft. Another airstrike hit Dibrova. 

No russian ground activity was observed over the past day. This enabled the distribution of humanitarian aid to people who remain in the frontline villages and provide them with food, medicine, hygiene items and other essentials.

Luhansk Regional Military Administration reported that mobile internet service is being turned off in the so-called ‘luhansk people’s republic’ once again. The occupiers reported explosions on the territory of idle enterprises, but for some reason they saw this as a security threat and began to cut off the internet service that people had paid for in advance.

But while, for example, in Luhansk, local residents can live without the Internet, life in frontline cities has not revived since the occupation. Nothing has been restored in Rubizhne for a year now. They are not even dismantling the rubble at the sites of houses destroyed by theRrussians, where, according to witnesses, the bodies of the dead remain. The occupation authorities do not care.

Near Kreminna, enemy tanks were destroyed by servicemen of the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts and the 66th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the morning of May 15, explosions occurred in occupied Luhansk. This information was confirmed by residents of the occupied city. According to them, the smoke is visible from the direction of the former Luhansk Military Aviation School of Navigators.

Luhansk Military Administration reports that in Rubizhne, occupiers neither repair houses damaged by shelling nor dismantle rubble with bodies lying under it. 

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to the Regional Military Administration, demining of Kyiv oblast continues. SESU units dispose explosive items in Vyshhorod region. The locals have been warned that they might hear explosions in certain communities of the oblast.

Kyiv Patrol Police reported that the bicycle patrol and mounted police have returned to the streets and parks of Kyiv. The police will ensure public order in parks, recreation areas, and in places where patrol cars cannot pass. Patrol officers will respond to all calls and appeals from citizens.

Kyiv City State Administration announced that there will be no children’s summer camps at schools in Kyiv this year due to martial law. Instead, it is planned to create rehabilitation camps that will allow children to stay in schools and participate in various activities. Schools will be open until June 16.

The Kyiv city authorities will consider a petition to dismantle the monument to russian writer Alexander Pushkin on Beresteyskyi Avenue. The petition collected the required number of signatures in less than a week. Earlier, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy deprived two monuments to the russian poet in Kyiv of their protected status, as the relevant order was signed by Minister Oleksandr Tkachenko.

The SESU reported that 42 safety classrooms are already operating in educational institutions of Kyiv oblast. These classrooms are fully equipped. 20 of them were opened between March and May 2023.

The 120-kilometer charity marathon “From the Flames We Were Born” has started, and two Ukrainian Armed Forces veterans wearing prostheses will finish it on foot. They want to raise over UAH 3.5 million to buy a gastroscope for a military hospital in Kyiv. The organizers and participants of the marathon are soldiers Serhii Khrapko and Oleksandr Shvetsov, who lost their limbs during the fighting in Donbas in 2014-2015.

Zhytomyr oblast

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine reported that as a result of russian shelling of Zhytomyr oblast, 80 educational institutions were damaged, one of them was completely destroyed. In particular, the following were damaged by russian shelling in the oblast: 41 schools, 24 kindergartens, 7 vocational education institutions, 3 vocational higher education institutions, 2 higher education and 3 extracurricular education institutions. The saveschools.in.ua website records and provides real-time statistics on destroyed Ukrainian educational institutions.

Representatives of the city authorities asked local residents to provide houses for free or for rent in Zviahel for 12 IDPs from Donetsk oblast who are now temporarily living in a kindergarten. Among the people who have been evacuated are pregnant women and retired people who need both social support and medical care.

Sumy oblast

 According to Sumy Regional Military Administration, over the past 24 hours, on May 14, the enemy shelled border communities 8 times – there were 109 explosions recorded. The settlements of Yunakivka and Bilopillia communities were under enemy fire. The enemy attacked with mortars, artillery, and grenade launchers. There was mortar shelling of Bilopillia community in the morning – there were 7 explosions.

According to the regional department of social protection of the population more than 82 K internally displaced persons are registered in Sumy oblast, two-thirds of them are refugees of different parts of the oblast. It was noted that 17 territorial communities of the oblast are currently included in the list of the Ministry of Reintegration as those where hostilities have been or are being conducted. Half of the people (children and the elderly) with IDP status are unable to work .

Housing facilities for IDPs have been created in 9 communities of Sumy oblast. There are vacant houses in rural areas, particularly in Romny region. Also, 15 UN clusters are working in the oblast to provide assistance to IDPs, poviding compact living and social housing.

According to the State Emergency Service, seven more safety classrooms were added to the educational space in Shostka, Sumy, Romny, and Nedryhailiv regions Sumy oblast. 

Chernihiv oblast

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that in the morning, russian troops once again shelled the border areas of Chernihiv oblast. There were 16 shells from MLRSs on Yeline village of Snovsk community. Ivan Vashchenko, Head of Koriukivka regional administration, reported that as a result of the shelling, a private house and a utility building were damaged, one private house burned down. A power line was also damaged and five settlements were cut off from electricity.

Over the past week, Chernihiv oblast suffered 40 attacks in 24 settlements. There were 360 hostile attacks in the oblast. Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, says that the enemy launched 8 attacks using aircraft and drones, one of Shahid drones was destroyed by border guards.

As a result of russian terrorist shelling, many households and towns across the river Snov have been destroyed over the past week, and there are casualties. Due to the shelling, 4 settlements in Novhorod-Siverskyi region are without electricity, and gas supply is partially cut off. Work is underway to collect the demand and provide the population with liquefied gas.

Border villages that constantly suffer from enemy shelling will soon receive humanitarian aid from Slovakia. According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, over the past few weeks, about 12 tons of food provided by partners have been distributed to local residents.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Regional Council, reported that three adults and a child were wounded in Nikopol region due to shelling. The girl born in 2009 was hospitalized with a mine-blast trauma and craniocerebral injury. A man born in 1981 received shrapnel wounds to both arms, head, and contusion. A man born in 1962 was also taken to the hospital with mine-blast trauma and barotrauma. After the shelling, there were 3 fires in the outbuildings and on the infrastructure object. 1 outbuilding was destroyed.  A private enterprise, 14 multi-storey buildings, 6 residential buildings, 8 outbuildings, 4 cars, and 1 truck were damaged. 

Volunteers and paramedics from the International Charitable Foundation Rehabilitation Centre Maidan Hospital, handed over 25 blood-stopping tourniquets and 30 bandages to the military of the 129th Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Yevhen Herasymenko is a 61-year-old surgeon from Dnipro who spent a month and a half saving defenders in the surrounded Azovstal. The surgeon performed about 300 operations under powerful air strikes, then he was captured and exchanged. Today he has returned to the front.

Vinnytsia oblast

In Vinnytsia, a monument to fighter pilot Serhii Parkhomenko, the Hero of Ukraine, who was killed in Zaporizhzhia a year ago, was unveiled on the Alley of Glory at the central cemetery. The stele was unveiled by the combat pilots, the father and younger brother of the deceased serviceman.

Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration reported that the oblast received a modern pneumatic frame module for the protection of civilians from ACTED to meet the needs of civilian protection. The tent will be useful in organizing emergency response operations of any kind or arranging heating points.

Kirovohrad oblast

A charity fair “Preschoolers Help the Armed Forces of Ukraine” was held in Kirovograd oblast, organized by the Doshkilniatko (Preschooler) Child Development Centre, which has more than 500 pupils. The children made a performance, made various crafts, and baked goodies. The funds raised will be donated to a volunteer organization for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Poltava oblast

Over UAH 11 K was raised to support Ukrainian defenders at a charity concert in Hadiach.

A flower sale organized in Poltava raised UAH 110 K to buy a car for the military. According to the co-organiser and wife of a soldier, Aliona Knysh, it is needed in Luhansk oblast where her husband is serving. 

Cherkasy oblast

20 tonnes of humanitarian aid from Murcia (Spain) was delivered by the Association of Ukrainians to Cherkasy oblast. This is the fourth time such aid has been delivered.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Today the enemy once again shelled Huliaipole. An administrative institution and a local shop were affected.

On May 13 and 14, russian forces launched 179 strikes on Zaporizhia oblast, using aviation, artillery, MLRSs, and UAVs. Houses of civilians in Zaporizhzhia, Polohy, and Vasylivka regions were damaged. As a result of the shelling with Grad rockets, six people, including a 6-year-old child, were injured to varying degrees, and one person died from the injuries.

On May 14, the enemy carried out 84 strikes on cities and villages near the front line. Nineteen settlements were shelled, including Huliaipole, Novoiakovlivka, Prymorske, Malynivka, Poltavka, Kamianske, Stepove, and others. Currently, 26 civilian infrastructure objects have been destroyed.

More than 150K occupiers remain in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia and Kherson oblasts. The russians continue to forcibly evacuate civilians and employees of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant. This information was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The withdrawal of russian combat units from Zaporizhia and Kherson oblasts is currently not being observed.

Recently, on the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhia oblast, individuals who agreed to cooperate with the russian occupiers have been offered to document their renunciation of Ukrainian citizenship and accept russian citizenship in writing. Those who refuse are threatened with dismissal from their jobs and further persecution. 

According to Mayor Ivan Fedorov, the russians are forcing residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhia oblast to obtain russian documents by September 1, 2023. According to the official’s information, migration services on the occupied territory of Zaporizhia oblast have resumed their work, and filtration at checkpoints between settlements has been intensified. Mobile teams for issuing russian passports are even operating in the places of temporary residence of evacuated residents in Berdiansk.

Zaporizhzhia for Emergency and Disaster Medical Center has received 20 generators within the United24 program. They will be used  to ensure the work of medical personnel in the de-occupied territories. In addition to the generators, the WHO has provided the Center with 6 off-road vehicles equipped with minimal necessary medical equipment.

Mykolaiv oblast

Ukrainian defenders destroyed russian occupiers’ facilities on the Kinburn Spit. This was a response to the constant shelling of Ukrainian civilian objects by the occupiers. Last night, the enemy shelled Ochakiv community with MLRSs, but no casualties are reported.

Psychologists are providing assistance to families of soldiers who have gone missing or have been captured in Mykolaiv Veterans Support Center. The War Veterans and Their Families Support Center was established in Mykolaiv four years ago for participants of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). Today, amidst the ongoing large-scale war, its relevance cannot be overstated. Visitors have access to physical and psychological rehabilitation, qualified legal support, opportunities for social adaptation and professional re-training, and much more. All services provided are completely free of charge.

Odesa oblast

The threat of enemy missile strikes and kamikaze drone attacks remains high for Odesa oblast. As of May 14, a naval group consisting of ten enemy vessels continues maneuvers between Cape Tarkhankut and Novorossiysk in the Black Sea. There are four missile carriers ready, including one submarine, with a maximum payload of up to 24 Kalibr missiles. As reported by the ‘South’ Operational Command, the enemy launched some of the missiles during yesterday’s night missile attack.

Currently, there is only one ‘grain initiative’ vessel in the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk, and no such vessels are present in the Pivdennyi port. The future of the grain corridor remains undetermined, and the Ukrainian grain’s fate is unknown at the moment. There are two possible scenarios: russia may agree to extend the ‘grain corridor’ agreement for another 60 days or refuse, as its demands are not being met. This could happen as early as May 18.

Charity concerts and fairs are being held in the settlements of Sarata community to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This information was reported by the village council. More than 30K UAH was raised over the course of two days of events.

Kherson oblast

Once again, the russians shelled the civilian infrastructure of Kherson. As a result of the shelling, residential buildings and utility structures were damaged, and some property was completely destroyed. A massive fire broke out, which was promptly extinguished by firefighters.

Around 4 am on May 15, russian forces launched a drone kamikaze attack on Kherson. One educational institution, Kherson Academy of Continuous Education, was hit. Due to a direct hit, the building with an area of 3,200 square meters was completely destroyed.

On May 14, the russian occupiers shelled peaceful settlements in Kherson oblast 86 times, firing 381 shells from artillery, mortars, tanks, drones, and aircraft. Kherson was attacked 4 times, with 9 shells fired at the city. Due to the actions of the russian army on the right bank, residential buildings, educational institutions, utility structures, and summer houses have been damaged. The enemy once again carried out airstrikes on the city of Beryslav, the villages of Kizomys, and Stanislav. As a result of controlled bomb explosions in Beryslav, administrative buildings were damaged. A police patrol vehicle, which was on patrol in the village of Mylove, was hit by enemy artillery fire. In the past day, six people were killed due to russian aggression, and three others injured to varying degrees.

During stabilization measures in Beryslav region, the police found that russian military personnel killed a 74-year-old local resident in the village of Petrivka during the occupation in June 2022. A total of 29 criminal proceedings have been initiated by the police regarding war crimes committed by russian occupiers in Kherson oblast.

A russian mine exploded under a tractor near the village of Tomaryne in Beryslav community. The tractor operator encountered an explosive device during fieldwork. As a result of the detonation, the 53-year-old man sustained injuries to his head and hands.

Our aviation launched 3 air strikes on enemy air defense positions and personnel buildups in Skadovsk region. Our air defense forces destroyed 3 enemy operational-tactical level UAVs. The total losses of the enemy amount to 10 russian soldiers, 5 boats, 1 T-72/62 tank, and 7 units of engineering and armored vehicles.

Cases of violent detention of men who had previously refused Ukrainian citizenship in favor of russian citizenship are noted in several settlements of Kherson oblast. After their detention, the occupiers demand unlawful monetary compensation from these citizens in exchange for exemption from mobilization. Individuals who refuse to pay bribes are sent by the occupiers to field camps for an intensive course of general military training. After that, these individuals are placed in settlements adjacent to the front line.

russian occupiers are attempting to suppress the Ukrainian underground on the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson oblast. Collaborator Volodymyr Saldo held a meeting with representatives of the occupiers’ security forces to discuss ways to combat partisan movements in the region. As a result, russian military forces are intensifying counterintelligence measures in an attempt to locate the underground.

Residents of liberated territories received 5,500 cans of canned food and 5,500 loaves of bread from international charity organizations, donors, and volunteers. Volunteers from Global Empowerment Mission Ukraine distributed family kits with essential supplies to residents of Mala Seidemynukha, Novopoltavka, Novohredneve, Kalynivske, and Kherson.

Kherson City Council announced that the residents of Kherson community are invited to participate in public discussions regarding the renaming of toponymic objects as part of decolonization and de-russification of the public space. .

Volyn oblast

A charity fair in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was held in Volyn. About UAH 178 K collected will be used to buy cars for military medics of 100 separate territorial defense brigades.

Zakarpattia oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk, a chatbot for helping displaced persons TurBot for IDPs was launched. It is designed to help internally displaced people integrate into communities.

The RMA reported that in a week, regional military administrations sent 10 cars to the front.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The regional cardiology center of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council received modern household appliances, namely, two washing machines and a refrigerator, from international partners.

Lviv oblast

Students and teachers organized a charity fair at Lapaiv Lyceum named after the Hero of Ukraine Heorhiy Kirpa. About UAH 290K collected will be used to buy a car and a thermal imager for soldiers.

Educational institutions of Belz community received 14 generators from Lions Clubs International.

On May 13-14, the 5th All-Ukrainian charity festival-competition of folk, classical and ballroom choreography Folklorny Dyvosvit-2023 was held in Sokilnyky within the artistic project “For You, Warrior!“. The collected UAH 73K will be used to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In Yavoriv region, a cycling trip took place under the slogan “Let’s Spin Kilometers for the Sake of Ukraine’s Victory.” within the framework of the international project RoveLove Roztochche – Together Across Borders.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne, a list of hospitals was approved on the basis of which military medical commissions will work. These are 19 civilian medical institutions, whose services will be paid under the Medical Guarantee Program.

Iryna Pavliuk, an English teacher from Rivne, took part in a photo project held in Liverpool during the Eurovision. The photo exhibition A Form of Therapy is dedicated to Ukrainian women who fled the war and moved to Liverpool. Portraits are accompanied by inspiring stories of refugee women.

Flowers in the form of ZSU (the Armed Forces of Ukraine) were planted in front of Rivne RMA. A flower arrangement in support of the Armed Forces was created from yellow marigolds and blue ageratums.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil Regional Prosecutor’s Office provides procedural guidance in criminal proceedings based on violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Prosecutors and investigators record evidence of war crimes against peaceful citizens of Ukraine.

A group of pyrotechnicians neutralized a Kh-55 missile, which was shot down by air defense forces over Ternopil oblast. In total, 7 missiles were destroyed, directed at the oblast on May 13-14.

Ivan Hontar, Head of the Svitlo Reformatsiy CF, announced that it became known what the russians destroyed during the rocket attack in Ternopil. These are warehouses containing thousands of tons of humanitarian aid.

Ternopil received an ambulance from the POMOC MALTAŃSKA – MALTAŃSKA SŁUŻBA MEDYCZNA foundation from the city of Katowice and the Darem Dalej foundation from the city of Krakow.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA reported that Khmelnytskyi will receive from the state budget over UAH 47 million to arrange shelters and another UAH 45 million to purchase school buses, in particular those equipped for transportation of people with limited mobility.

Oleksandr Simchyshyn, Mayor of Khmelnytskyi, reported that another car was sent from the city to the military.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA reported that in Bukovina, the readiness of children’s health and recreation facilities is being checked, i.e. availability of protective structures and shelters.

The city children’s polyclinic of Chernivtsi received a mobile dental office from the sister city of Dusseldorf.

Residents of the village of Dovzhok of Novoselytsk community sent humanitarian aid, namely, various goodies, pastries, coffee, tea, as well as medicines and clothes, to Ukrainian soldiers.

In memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine, the Alley of Glory was opened in Novoselytsk. There are portraits with the names of 17 soldiers of the community.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The government of Great Britain reported that the country will send  hundreds of combat drones with a range of over 200 km to Ukraine.

A joint statement published following the meeting between Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Emmanuel Macron, stated that in the coming weeks, France will provide Ukraine with dozens of armored vehicles and light tanks.

The Ministry of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany reported that the country will deliver 4 additional IRIS-T air defense systems to Ukraine.

The British government reported that the country will start a program for training Ukrainian pilots in the summer. They will be taught to fly Western F-16 aircraft.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Norway plan to train approximately 3,2K Ukrainian soldiers in 2023.

Germany signed a declaration supporting Ukraine’s movement towards NATO membership.

The Czechs collected $2.3 million within the framework of the Gift for putin initiative. The funds will be used to purchase the Czech RM-70 anti-aircraft missile system and 365 missiles for it.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in London for a visit. At the weekend, the President of Ukraine already visited Italy, Germany and France.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the military base in the city of Aachen, where Ukrainian servicemen are trained. The President of Ukraine presented the soldiers with state awards.

Ursula von der Leyen, Head of the European Commission, announced that the Hague will create a register of destruction caused by russia during the war in Ukraine.

The WHO European office for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases in moscow will be closed. Its functions will be transferred to Copenhagen (Denmark).

The government of Great Britain reported that NATO training began in Estonia with the participation of 14K military personnel.
