It has been the 401th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The enemy launched 5 missile and 12 air strikes, as well as more than 20 MLRS attacks. 

Having failed to achieve the desired results on the battlefield, the enemy continues to cynically terrorize civilians. Today, the russian federation launched another missile attack on civilian targets in Zaporizhzhia and other Ukrainian cities using ballistic missiles. The enemy also used 6 Shahed-136 attack UAVs for air strikes, all of which were destroyed by our defenders.

There is a high threat of further missile and air strikes across Ukraine. 

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive actions towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka. During this period, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled more than 30 enemy attacks. The most fierce fighting remains for the towns of Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka.

The operational situation towards Volyn, Polissia, Siversk and Sloboda remains unchanged. As part of the combat training activities, the training of the Special Forces units of the Armed Forces of the republic of belarus was completed. At the same time, the top political leadership of this country continues to support russian aggression, providing the enemy with airspace and territory. The training of territorial troops of the russian federation’s armed forces continues at belarusian training grounds. However, there were no signs of enemy offensive groups forming.

The enemy continues to maintain a military presence in the border areas of Kursk and Belgorod oblasts. 

The enemy fired at Baranivka (Chernihiv oblast), Sosnivka, Volfine, Kindrativka, Novomykolaivka, Popivka, Oleksandrivka (Sumy oblast), and Veterynarne, Hoptivka, Strilecha, Hlyboke, Bochkove and Budarky (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk, Kamianka, Fiholivka, Synkivka, Krokhmalne (Kharkiv oblast) and Novoselivske (Luhansk oblast) were subjected to hostile attacks.

Towards Lyman, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives near the towns of Makiivka, Kreminna, Dibrova, Bilohorivka and in the area of Serebriany forestry. Settlements near the contact line, including Nevske, Dibrova, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast) and Spirne (Donetsk oblast) were shelled by artillery.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy continues to storm the town of Bakhmut, trying to take it under full control. During the day, the enemy fired at the settlements of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka and Maiorsk (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Avdiivka and Marinka, the enemy conducted offensives near Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka and Pervomaiske, but did not succeed. They shelled the settlements of Stepove, Tonenke, Marinka, Novomykhailivka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy actively used UAVs to adjust artillery fire, firing at t Vodiane, Vuhledar, Velyka Novosilka, Krasnohorivka and Novosilka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the enemy did not conduct active operations, improving defensive lines and positions in terms of fortifications. In particular, the settlements of Vremivka and Novosilka (Donetsk oblast); Olhivske, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia oblast, and Kherson were shelled.

The trend of increasing cases of enemy personnel escaping from military units continues. Thus, in the Starobilsk region of the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk oblast, the occupiers are looking for 50 deserters. 

Aviation of the Defense Forces conducted 6 strikes on buildups of enemy personnel and military equipment. Rocket and artillery units struck 8 buildups of enemy manpower, weapons and military equipment, a fuel and lubricants depot, 2 anti-aircraft missile systems, an artillery unit at a firing position, and an electronic warfare station.

Vasyl Bodnar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Turkey reports that a single humanitarian corridor for the return of prisoners is being prepared. With Turkey’s mediation, they want to create a single corridor that would allow the release of our prisoners of war and civilians. He also added that the search for common ground on the release of prisoners from russian captivity is underway. The issue of Ukrainian children’s liberation is essential.

Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin says that joint working groups will be established to investigate war crimes. The Office of the Prosecutor General, together with the International Criminal Court, will investigate specific criminal cases of russian war crimes in Ukraine. 

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that at night, russia launched 10 Shahed drones across Ukraine. Air defense destroyed 9 Shahed drones. The enemy also used the S-300 air defense system, firing 9 missile launches at the civilian infrastructure of Kharkiv.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that st least 10 settlements in Kharkiv oblast came under russian shelling, namely Hoptivka, Veterynarne and Synkivka. 

The premiere of the film “Luxembourg, Luxembourg” will take place on April 5 in Blyzniuky, where the main characters of the film from the band “Kurgan & Agregat” were born. The money from ticket sales will be donated to the Armed Forces.

Late last night the enemy launched a missile attack on Novobavarskyi district of Kharkiv. A total of 9 missiles were fired at the city, probably by S-300 missile systems. Civilian infrastructure and private houses were damaged. Some of the missiles hit the ground and exploded in the air. As a result of the missile attack, 3 people were lightly wounded. No hospitalization was required.

Also last night, the enemy attacked critical infrastructure facilities in Izyum region with a Shahed UAV. Two civilian men aged 44 and 66 were wounded and hospitalized.

The russian military fired at the border settlements of Kharkiv oblast in Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Vovchansk regions. In particular, the fire targeted Kozacha Lopan, Kupiansk, Dvorichna, Strilecha and other towns and villages. Residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged.

Demining continues in the oblast. Over the past day, the SES pyrotechnicians inspected more than 15 hectares of territory and defused 274 ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

An unmanned aerial vehicle capable of carrying ammunition was shot down by border guards in Donetsk oblast. It was flying over one of the military positions. The UAV remained almost undamaged, so it is planned to be used against the russian army in the future.

russian forces shelled Kostiantynivka in Donetsk oblast twice with artillery. One person was injured, businesses, houses and infrastructure damaged.

Oleksandra Pakhomova, Deputy Head of the Druzhkivka RMA, reports that the Russian army shelled Druzhkivka after 4 p.m. There were several attacks, information about the victims is being clarified. The extent of the damage is being established.

A 5-month-old boy and his grandmother were killed in today’s shelling of Avdiivka, and the child’s mother and father wounded.

In the temporarily occupied Mariupol, russians have started dumping garbage on the “slag heap.” According to Petro Andriushchenko, Advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, this would cause another environmental disaster in the city.

In the north, russians struck Kramatorsk, damaging 8 private houses, with no casualties.

Towards Donetsk, aerial explosions were registered over Avdiivka in the morning. The city also came under tank fire, with some damage, but no one was injured. In Marinka community, Marinka, Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka were under fire.

Towards Horlivka, 1 person was killed and 5 wounded in Bakhmut. Kostiantynivka suffered two shelling attacks, wounding one person and damaging a state-owned enterprise and a factory building. In Soledar community, Vasiukivka and Rozdolivka were shelled.

Towards Lysychansk, 4 shells hit Zarichne in Lyman community.

Pavel Kyrylenko, Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reports that russians killed a civilian in Bakhmut. Six more people were wounded in the oblast. 

Luhansk oblast

russian forces attempted to conduct offensive actions near Kuzmyne and Stelmakhivka on March 30, but without success. Novoselivske, Nevske and Bilohorivka came under artillery fire.

In March, the Luhansk sector of the frontline suffered from a record number of daily artillery attacks. “Russians fire 300-400 shells per day at Ukrainian settlements and positions,” said Oleksii Smirnov, Acting Head of the regional military administration. He noted that the regular army of the russian federation, which is trying to attack our region, is suffering losses. However, the only source of replenishment after a year of war is freshly mobilized soldiers with different levels of training.

The Luhansk Regional Military Administration reported that russian regular troops are compensating for the losses in Luhansk oblast with mobilized troops. Schools in the occupied territories will help to issue russian passports. Underground mines in Dovzhansk are being prepared for closure – only six people are working in shifts.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

For the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, ambassadors of all 27 EU member states visited Kyiv. The representatives came to show the EU’s solidarity and continued support. Before coming to Ukraine, they spent two days with the EU Military Assistance Mission to Ukraine (EUMAM).

On the anniversary of liberation of Bucha from russian troops, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Moldova Maia Sandu, prime ministers of Slovakia, Croatia and Slovenia honored the memory of the residents of Bucha who were killed during the russian occupation. After the ceremony, the memorial to the defenders of the city was opened. Together with European leaders, Zelenskyy visited Vokzalna Street, where Ukrainian defenders destroyed a column of russian troops moving towards Kyiv.

Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin announced that over 9K war crimes were committed in Bucha region during the 33-day occupation. More than 1,400 civilians were killed by the russian military, many of them were tortured. Among the dead were 37 children, another 52 children injured. According to him, during the year, the Prosecutor’s Office notified about the suspicion of almost a hundred military personnel of the russian federation. Indictments against 35 people were sent to the court, two military men of the russian federation were sentenced to 12 years in prison for bullying and looting.

By the end of this year, Kyiv RMA and the Energy Efficiency Fund plan to restore and energy-modernize at least 150 apartment buildings in Kyiv oblast, which suffered due to the full-scale war with the russian federation.

The KCSA reported that a pilot project for rehabilitation and socialization of veterans and participants in hostilities is being launched in the capital. To implement the project, the city center for social, professional and labor rehabilitation of people with disabilities was placed in one of the institutions that takes care of military rehabilitation. Rehabilitators work with patients in between medical procedures, which gives a double effect to the treatment. They use art, book, animal, and play therapy types.

The General Prosecutor’s Office reported that a pro-russian blogger who was detained in the UOC MP monastery will be tried in Kyiv. In August, he was charged with treason, and in February detained on the territory of the Holy Annunciation Men’s Monastery in Kyiv.

There were no power consumption limits for the capital. According to Ukrenergo, there is currently no shortage in the energy system, and consumption remains at the level of a working day.

Based on the results of a survey of business representatives the Kyiv RMA reported that 52.9% of the oblast enterprises expect an increase in production volumes in the next three months. Assessments of the financial and economic situation and general economic environment have improved in the oblast; a significant increase in indicators regarding the number of employees was recorded; entrepreneurs of the oblast do not experience difficulties in finding qualified employees.

The photo exhibition “Eyes of Ukraine” opened in Kyiv, which demonstrates the consequences of the russian invasion in the cities of Irpin, Borodianka, Hostomel, Kharkiv after their liberation from the russian occupiers. According to Serhii Popko, Head of the KCMA, after the exhibition, the work will be sold at a charity auction to raise funds for the construction of a new rehabilitation center and the purchase of medical equipment for it.

Zhytomyr oblast

In 2022, the communities of Zhytomyr oblast received assistance in the amount of almost 1 million euros from the U-LEAD with Europe Program. 14 communities of the oblast received assistance. These are packages of emergency support “Shelter, lighting” and “Repair, lighting”, sets of equipment and materials that help to work effectively in war conditions.

On the basis of Zhytomyr Vocational Lyceum, the educational hub “Friendly Space” was opened for children and teenagers who suffered due to the war. In the educational hub, special attention will be paid to psychological support, professional orientation of children and youth. There is also a location for seniors where they can learn digital skills.

The Zhytomyr RMA reported that there is a network of specialized institutions for victims of domestic violence in Zhytomyr oblast. It includes 4 shelters, a crisis room, a specialized first aid service and 2 multidisciplinary teams. There is also a helpline and 37 mobile teams, which were created with the support of the Youth Charitable Foundation “Initiative” in cooperation with and funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Volunteers from the “Zhytomyr” humanitarian hub handed over some Ukrainian-made drones to the military for the second time in a week. The Ukrainian Armed Forces received four Valkyrie unmanned aerial systems, which are the basis of aerial reconnaissance for adjusting artillery and mortar fire.

Sumy oblast

The Sumy RMA reported that the russian military shelled three communities in Sumy oblast. The occupiers dropped two explosives from a UAV on the territory of Krasnopillia community. A local resident was hospitalized and operated on with a gunshot wound. In Seredyno-Buda, the enemy fired 13 mortar strikes, damaging an agricultural building and a private home. The Bilopillia community was shelled from grenade launchers 41 times.

At night, the occupiers continued shelling Bilopillia region – 5 mortar hits were recorded. The russians also attacked Znob-Novhorodske community, there were 15 hits from barrel artillery.

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that the occupiers do not stop shelling along the border of Sumy oblast. In the first half of the day, 20 rounds, probably from barrel artillery, were recorded in the village of Ulytsia and 14 – in Baranivka in Shostka region.

Sumy RMA reported that the oblast received humanitarian aid from the International Medical Corps. Heaters, power banks, flashlights, underwear and other necessary items will go to the residents of communities that are still under shelling, as well as to social protection institutions.

Volunteers from Hlukhiv raffled off a jar of mushrooms collected by Yurii Kovalenko, a fallen soldier from Hlukhiv. The purpose of the event was to collect UAH 19K hryvnias for a charging station for the unit in which the defender served. In one hour, UAH 150K was collected to support the Armed Forces, and the volunteers received a charging station as a gift.

Chernihiv oblast

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that the russian army attacked the border areas of Chernihiv oblast again. There were 35 hits, probably from a mortar. The village of Bleshnia of Semenivka community came under shelling.

In the morning, the occupiers shelled Oleksandrivka village of Semenivka community. According to the message of the ‘North’ Operational Command, there were 26 hits from barrel artillery.

From now on, there are streets named after Oleksandr Matsievsky in Chernihiv and Nizhyn. The hero of Ukraine was a sniper of the 163rd battalion of a separate brigade of the TrO of Chernihiv oblast. The soldier became world-famous because of a video recording made by the occupiers, on which he, without a weapon in his hands, was shot by the russian military, saying “Glory to Ukraine” before his death. Oleksandr was shot on December 30, 2022, he is survived by his mother and son.

Chernihiv Mayor Oleksandr Lomako reported that the city utility workers will receive a financial award for their contribution to the reconstruction of the city. One-time cash assistance in the amount of UAH 3K will be provided to employees of communal services, as well as to doctors, educators and workers of other institutions.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Regional Council, the russian forces attacked Marhanets community in Nikopol region with a drone and heavy artillery twice. A social institution, a car, and two outbuildings were mutilated. 

A wounded military man got married in one of the hospitals of Dnipropetrovsk oblast. Mykhailo fought in Donetsk region, and a shrapnel hit him in the neck. The soldier will undergo rehabilitation abroad, and his wife is planning to go with him.

In Kamianske, a space was opened for families of defenders. There are Halls of Remembrance with photos of fallen Kamianske residents, as well as rooms for holding meetings, commemorative events, providing psychological support, etc.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​Almost UAH 20 K was collected for the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a charity volleyball tournament among community teachers.

​​ Residents of Kalynivka community in Vinnytsia oblast sent the fourth humanitarian cargo to the front. The Kalynivka  City Council handed over 12 sets of military uniforms and tires for trucks, as well as sweets and canned goods.

Kirovohrad oblast

A two-day charity physical culture and wellness event among school teachers was held in the Oleksandriia community based on the multi-profile lyceum. UAH 35K was collected to support the Armed Forces.

Poltava oblast

More than UAH 25K was collected in the Zinkiv community at the charity concert. All funds will be used to help the Ukrainian military.

Cherkasy oblast

Within the partnership agreement, Cherkasy State University of Technology and the University of East London are launching an innovative pilot project on assessing damage to Ukrainian buildings and structures using drones.

Cherkasy RMA reported that more than 100K internally displaced persons are currently living in Cherkasy oblast and receiving assistance.  Almost 270K citizens have moved to the region by transit since the beginning of the full-scale war.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

This morning, the occupiers carried out a series of strikes on the outskirts of Zaporizhzhia using reactive multiple-launch rocket systems. As a result of the shelling, a kindergarten and private houses were damaged.

At 1:00 pm, russian military attacked Zaporizhia with an Iskander-M missile. Two people were reportedly injured as a result of the shelling. Private houses and garages with cars were damaged, and the city cemetery was partially destroyed. Today, russian military also shelled the city of Orikhiv from a military aircraft. Two men were injured, and the territory of the local power distribution company was completely destroyed.

On MArch 30, the enemy launched 56 shelling attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders, using tank weaponry, reactive and barrel artillery along the entire front line. The occupiers shelled the civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhia, Novodanylivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Novodarivka, Preobrazhenka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Olhivske, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, and Stepove. Police have received 30 reports of buildings (apartments) belonging to citizens and infrastructure objects being destroyed as a result of shelling by russian military personnel.

Mykolaiv oblast

On MArch 30, the enemy once again shelled the waters of the Ochakiv community with artillery. According to Mykolaiv RMA, there were no casualties.

The soldiers of the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade are successfully fighting the enemy and repelling aggressor’s attacks. Mykolaiv military personnel are using drones to destroy enemy infantry. The russians tried to retreat under the cover of smoke, but they were destroyed along with their armored vehicles. Overall, the soldiers of the 79th Air Assault Brigade destroyed 2 tanks, 2 BMPs, and several dozen enemies.

A photo exhibition-installation called “Fortress of the South” was opened in the Mykolaiv Officers’ House of the Fleet. Over a hundred photographs by artists Serhii Kononenko and Dmytro Skorokhodov are a unique chronicle of life in Mykolaiv since the beginning of russia’s full-scale aggression, stories of destroyed lives of residents of Kherson and villages living under occupation. The exhibition also features military artifacts – remnants of ammunition that were used to shell the unconquered Mykolaiv, as well as debris from enemy drones.

Odesa oblast

On March 29-30, there were no air raid sirens or shelling in Odesa oblast. The likelihood of missile strikes remains high, but the Ukrainian defense forces are in their designated positions, and the situation is fully under control. As of the evening, the enemy reduced its naval grouping, but the missile carrier remains on duty. According to the ‘South’ Operational Command, there are six ships along with support vessels In the Black Sea, including one submarine missile carrier equipped with up to 4 Kalibr missiles.

Another 150K tons of agricultural products were shipped from ports in Odesa to Asian countries. Three ships with food left the ports of Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi. One of them is heading to Bangladesh, a key consumer of Ukrainian wheat.

Odesa residents are receiving assistance from the World Food Program of the United Nations. In March, social and municipal institutions received 520 food packages, and humanitarian aid centers – 5K food packages

Almost UAH 14K was raised for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at a rock concert in Odesa. The proceeds from tickets to the joint concert of  White Ward, Knifeman, and Mørtüi Vūltus at the More Music Club bands were directed to various funds to support our military. The money was transferred to Come Back Alive, Hospitaliers, and the Special Operations Forces fighters.

Kherson oblast

Police opened 42 criminal cases on the facts of war crimes committed by russian military in Kherson oblast. The car Opel Zafira carrying civilians exploded in the forest near the village of Mala Oleksandrivka. The car burned to the ground. As a result of the tragedy, a 36-year-old man died on the spot, and a 67-year-old victim suffered 80% burns and explosive trauma. Doctors are fighting to save his life.

Electricians restoring the power grid were blown up by a russian mine in the village of Posad-Pokrovske. According to preliminary information, two men were killed, and one badly injured.

Aviation and rocket and artillery units hit 2 enemy buildups of manpower and equipment, eliminated 7 occupiers, 10 units of weapons and equipment. Among the destroyed equipment were a radio-electronic warfare station, an anti-drone gun, a ground control station for UAVs, 2 mortars and 2 reconnaissance UAVs, 1 tank, and 2 units of armored vehicles. Also, a depot of enemy air defense ammunition, a field supply point, and an observation post were destroyed.

According to the Kherson RMA, power engineers began to supply voltage to eight settlements in Kherson oblast – Krutyi Yar, Lvivski Otruby, Tavriiske, Rakivka, Taras Shevchenko village, Novosilka, Pershotravneve, and the village of Maksyim Horkyi. In total, 513 consumers were connected to the power grid.

Construction materials for repairing buildings damaged by shelling were delivered to Beryslav. UNHCR Ukraine – the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine provided residents with emergency repair kits for buildings.

Volyn oblast

The parliamentary-municipal forum “Dialogue for the benefit of the development of communities in the conditions of martial law” organized by the USAID program “Council: the next generation” took place in Volyn. Participants discussed the problems of the communities in the economic and humanitarian area in the conditions of martial law and ways to solve them at the level of the parliament.

Zakarpattia oblast

This week in the humanitarian aid center “Owl’s Nest”, IDPs registered in Uzhhorod received 80 kits with necessary things for children under 2 years old; 100 grocery sets; 100 sets with hygiene products, clothes, bed linen and dishes (2,5K units) thanks to the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V. and MONI LLC.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Ivan Belbas, representative of the public organization “Despro”. They discussed improving living conditions of IDPs.

The RMA held a meeting with Mariia Baran, mental health coordinator of the USAID project “Development of a sustainable public health system”. They discussed providing psychological assistance to people who suffered as a result of the war.

Svitlana Onyshchuk, Head of the RMA, together with Vadym Svyrydenko, Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the Rehabilitation of Combatants visited the Center of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine. A training center for specialists who will work on rehabilitation will be created on the basis of the hospital.

Lviv oblast

The “Poland – Ukraine” Partnership Forum was held in Lviv. Participants discussed the cross-border cooperation program Interreg NEXT “Poland-Ukraine” and the planning of joint project activities within the program period 2021-2027.

The RMA reported that a business relocated to Lviv oblast can receive support within the framework of the “Relocate together” project.

The Sambir Production Department of Water Supply and Sewerage received 50 and 150 kW generators from the UNICEF Foundation.

The Central City Hospital of Chervonohrad received beds and bedside tables for patients in the cardiology, infectious and psychoneurological departments from the Rosinen Initiative German CF and the NGO “Development Foundation”.

The RMA reported that the Lviv Defense Cluster sent 2K modern covers for body armor to servicemen of 38 separate brigades of marines.

A Safety Classroom was opened at a school with zones of fire safety, mine safety, civil defense and pre-medical assistance in the Chervonohrad region.

The exhibition “Spring Salon – 2023” opened in the Lviv Palace of Arts, where over 100 paintings by Lviv artists were presented. This year, the exhibition is dedicated to the heroic defense of Bakhmut, the oldest and most patriotic city of Donetsk oblast. The opening of the exhibition began with a moment of silence for all those who died defending Ukraine in the confrontation with russia.

Ukrzaliznytsia and UNICEF opened a free children’s development and entertainment zone “Spilno” at the Lviv railway station. This is the third station zone for parents with children of all ages, created during the war together with UNICEF. Previously, such zones appeared in Kyiv and Kharkiv.

Rivne oblast

The Rivne RMA, the Main Department of the State Emergency Service and the NGO “Association of Voluntary Fire Brigades of Ukraine” signed a tripartite Memorandum on the development of voluntary teams. It aims to resolve issues of protection against emergency situations, fires and hazards in all settlements of the oblast.

The oblast received 1K backpacks for preschoolers who will enter the first grade from the UNICEF Foundation.

In Rivne oblast, a master manufactures night vision devices for the vehicles of the Armed Forces. The first 10 items have been tested at the front.

Ternopil oblast

The RMA reported that the curfew has been changed in Ternopil oblast. From April 1, it will last from midnight to 5.00.

The Regional Defense Council decided that only stationary Invincibility Centers will work in Ternopil oblast. Mobile Invincibility Centers are now ready to deploy.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

In the Assumption Church of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in the city of Khmelnytskyi, Bishop Pavlo of Khmelnytskyi and Kamianets-Podilskyi held a joint prayer with military chaplains and families of servicemen who went missing in the russian-Ukrainian war.

Chernivtsi oblast

The city council of Chernivtsi decided to allocate another UAH 30 million to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In total, UAH 122 million has been allocated from the budget since the year began.

The charity fair-festival “Our creative roads lead to victory” took place in the Chernivtsi Philharmonic. Almost UAH 60K was donated to the city “Mercy” CFto help units where Chernivtsi educators serve.

Truck drivers from the Sokyriany community bought a NISSAN X-TRAIL car for the soldiers on the front line.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Germany updated the list of weapons transferred to Ukraine. Berlin sent 18 Leopard 2A6 tanks with ammunition, 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles with ammunition from the warehouses of the Bundeswehr and munitions manufacturers. In a week, Ukraine received two armored repair and evacuation vehicles for Bergepanzer 3 armored vehicles, two WISENT 1 demining tanks, 24 Zetros trucks, 40K first-aid kits and 103K tourniquets.

The Ministry of Finance reported that the State Budget of Ukraine received a $1.8 billion loan from Canada on preferential terms.

Japan introduced a new package of sanctions against russia, which prohibits the export of aviation components.

Australia introduced new sanctions against 7 russian officials in the temporarily occupied Crimea, which include an entry ban. Australia has already imposed sanctions against over 1K people after the russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the delegation of the German defense and industrial concern Rheinmetall AG, headed by Armin Papperger, chairman of the board. They discussed strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.

Maia Sandu, President of Moldova, arrived in Ukraine. Together with the prime ministers of Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia, she took part in the summit on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of Bucha.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Eduard Heger, Prime Minister of Slovakia. They discussed countering russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, further cooperation both at the bilateral level and on international platforms, and the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.

Let me conclude by mentioning that today we are united as never before. Together with you, we are of the Cossack race. And together with us, you will reign again on your side. Glory to Ukraine!”, stressed Robert Golob, Prime Minister of Slovenia.

“These shots are burned into my memory. These crimes should not go unpunished. This is why we united around Ukraine. russia will not win!”, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on the anniversary of Bucha’s liberation from russian occupiers.

On the anniversary of Bucha’s liberation, Ursula von der Leyen, European Commission President, said that russia’s war crimes a year ago were the kremlin’s plan to destroy Ukrainians. She also added that the European Commission continues to make efforts to bring the russian dictator putin to justice for the crimes committed.

The Ukrainian film “We will not fade” about the life of children against the background of war was recognized as the best documentary in Central and Eastern Europe. Filming began in 2019 and ended in 2022, already after a full-scale invasion. The action of the film takes place in Luhansk oblast, in Zolotyi and Stanytsia Luhansk, which have been on the front line since 2014.
