It has been the 398 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

Russian troops launched 11 air strikes, 2 missile strikes and over 10 attacks from MLRS.

Ukraine is still under the threat of missile and air strikes. The russian army violates the laws and customs of war, and uses terror tactics against the civilian population. As a result of a missile attack on the infrastructure of the city of Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv oblast, civilians were injured and private houses were damaged.

Towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka, the russian army is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive actions. The settlements of Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Mariinka and their vicinities remain at the epicenter of hostilities. Thanks to professional and coordinated actions, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled 24 russian attacks in these directions.

Towards Volyn, Polissia, Siversk, and Sloboda, the operational situation has not changed significantly. No signs of the formation of offensive groups have been detected. On the territory of the republic of belarus, the combat training of units of the territorial troops of the armed forces of the russian federation continues. The russian army continues to maintain a military presence in the border areas of Kursk and Belgorod regions. Russian military shelled the areas of the settlements of Bilopillia and Volfyne in Sumy oblast, as well as the areas of the settlements of Timofiivka, Chervona Zoria, Veterinarne, Strilecha, Hlyboke, Krasne, Staritsa, Ohirtseve, Komisarov, Ustynivka, and Stroivka in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk and Lyman, russian soldiers conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Krokhmalne, Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske and Berestov settlements. They shelled from artillery shelling in the areas of Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Fiholivka, Novomlynsk, Kutkivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Vilshana, Kislivka, Berestov settlements of the Kharkiv oblast; Nevske, Kuzmine, Dibrova and Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast, as well as Spirne in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the russian army continues its assault on the city of Bakhmut. However, Ukrainian troops devotedly hold the city defense and repel numerous russian attacks. The russian military carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Ivanovske and Ozarianivka settlements, Donetsk oblast. Russian troops shelled the settlements of Vasiukivka, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Khromove, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Kurdiumivka, Druzhba, Shumy, and Maiorsk, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka and Marinka, the russian army carried out offensive actions in the direction of the settlements of Stepove, Pervomaiske, and Marinka of the Donetsk Oblast, without success. Russian troops were shelling populated areas. Among them are Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Heorhiivka, Stepove, Lastochkine, Avdiivka, Tonenka, Pervomaiske, Marinka, Pobieda, Paraskoviivka, and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Shakhtarsk, russian soldiers shelled the areas of Vuhledar, Zolota Niva, Velyka Novosilka and Vremivka settlements, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the russian army continues to conduct defensive actions, it shelled the settlements of Novosilka, Novopil of the Donetsk oblast; Huliaipole, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka and Novoandriivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast; Antonivka, Kherson oblast and the city of Kherson.

The Ukrainian Air Force carried out 5 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of russian troops. Units of rocket and artillery troops hit the command post, the area where russian manpower, weapons and military equipment are concentrated, as well as the ammunition depot.

According to the deputy prime minister of Ukraine Iryna Vereschuk, there are over 4K Ukrainian orphans in the territories occupied by russia.  All possible public bodies are involved in collecting more information about them. It is being transferred to the International criminal court.

The Ministry of Ecology of Ukraine reports that Ukraine sustained 10 billion UAH environmental damage due to the russian military aggression. “The losses are being estimated for four directions: ground, soil, air, and water resources. The state ecoinspection deals with this. They estimate the damage in 2 billion UAH ”, noted Oleksandr Stavniichuk, head of Ecocontrol department of the Ministry of Ecology.


Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

General Staff stated in the morning report that russian troops tried to advance near Krokhmalne towards Kupiansk but had no success. Towards Slobozhanske, Tymofiivka, Krasne, Ustynivka and Chorne were under attack. Towards Kupiansk, Russians attacked Kamianka, Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne and Kupiansk.

The Press service of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that today, two enemy missiles, preliminary S-300, fell in Bohodukhiv. Roofs and windows of several private buildings were damaged. A kindergarten was also partially damaged. A 73-year-old man was injured and sustained a concussion. He is currently hospitalised.

The Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko informed during his working visit to Kharkiv oblast that since the beginning of the full-scale war, hospitals in the region have received 13 oxygen stations, an angiograph, 3 X-ray machines and other equipment necessary to save the lives and health of Ukrainians.

While searching for fallen defenders in Kharkiv oblast, Ukrainian cynologists exploded on a mine. These are Larysa Borysenko, head of the Antaries search and rescue team from Pavlohrad, Dnipro oblast, and her partner Viacheslav Maiboroda. Both have now regained consciousness and are in critical and moderate condition.

Ihor Terekhov, Kharkiv Mayor, said that a number of cemeteries will be closed to the public on the eve of Easter and memorial days due to the high mine danger. The list of these sites will be published soon.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration noted that the Howard Buffett Foundation will donate special experimental drones to Kharkiv oblast to help de-mine the area. He added that the region is working to engage major international partners and organisations in a large-scale humanitarian de-mining process. The total area of mined or possibly mined territory in the region is over 1.2 million hectares.

Donetsk oblast

The day before, russians launched a missile attack on Sloviansk by killing 2 civilians and injuring 28. Administrative and office buildings were destroyed, 5 apartment buildings and 7 private buildings damaged. Late in the evening, Kramatorsk was hit by a missile attack, damaging a kindergarten, a school and a business building, with no casualties.

Towards Donetsk, Kurakhove was shelled 7 times, damaging the building of a state enterprise. Towards Horlivka, 2 people were injured and 2 buildings damaged in Kostiantynivka. At least 1 person was injured in Bakhmut. It was noisy in Toretsk and Chasiv Yar communities. In Soledar community, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Fedorivka and Rozdolivka were attacked. Towards Lysychansk, 2 kamikaze drones targeted Zarichne. There were no casualties.

Serhii Cherevatyi, spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that Ukrainian troops destroyed an ammunition depot, two tanks and eight mortars towards Lyman and Kupiansk yesterday. According to him, russians attacked 301 times with cannon and rocket artillery towards Lyman and Kupiansk yesterday. 13 fires broke out. As a result, 58 invaders were killed and 109 injured.

Russian troops started to use chemical munitions more frequently against the Defence Forces in Donetsk oblast. Over the past three days, there were more than ten such attacks towards Donetsk.

Oleksandr Tsakhniv, a journalist from Selydove, was killed in battle towards Bakhmut. He became the 50th media professional to be killed in Ukraine as a result of russian armed aggression.

Polish volunteer Marek, who had the call sign “Vedmedyk (Bear)”, died in a hospital in Kyiv on 16 March after being injured during shelling of Kostiantynivka.

In Bakhmut, more than four thousand buildings have been damaged as a result of russian aggression, including about 400 over the past month. It is currently impossible to establish the exact amount of destruction.

At a training area, foreign instructors are preparing new recruits of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the realities of the front. They practice defence and assault tactics. The newly arrived soldiers are practicing their skills in rifle shooting and throwing F-1 grenades. They are being taught by instructors from Sweden and the United States.

 

Luhansk oblast

Oleksii Smyrnov, acting head of the Regional Military Administration reported that russians attacked Stelmakhivka, Novoselivske, Nevske and Bilohorivka with artillery. The situation on the frontline in the region was the most intense in Kreminna, Kuzmyne and Bilohorivka yesterday.

Ukrainian border guards in Luhansk oblast managed to capture a DJI quadcopter equipped with a drop system. The drone was carrying a K-51 gas grenade. This is the first time border guards have managed to capture a quadcopter with a K-51.

Partisans terrorise putin’s invaders in the occupied Luhansk oblast. Supporters of Ukraine have conducted a number of successful actions and damaged enemy equipment. At the moment, they know about dozens of trucks with ammunition and other enemy weapons that did not reach their destination.

Last week, IDPs registered in Kreminna Coordination Centre for IDP Support of Luhansk oblast in Dnipro received food and hygiene kits and humanitarian aid from the International Organisation for Migration. They received 265 food parcels, 30 boxes of hygiene kits from Unicef, 120 sets of tableware, 120 canisters and 240 sets of bed linen from IOM. The distribution is still ongoing. Over the week, experts from various fields worked at the humanitarian hub: an employment centre specialist, representatives of the National Police and the State Labour Service and doctors.

 

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

At night, the enemy once again launched a Shahed UAV in the direction of the capital. According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, air defence forces detected and destroyed 12 enemy drones in Kyiv airspace. As a result of the crash of a UAV wreckage in Sviatoshynskyi district, a fire broke out in a non-residential building.

The UN Procurement and Supplier Fair took place in Kyiv. This fair is arranged in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the UN Office in Ukraine and the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event was held to support national business and increase the volume of procurement by UN agencies in the local market of Ukraine.

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that Invincibility Centres located in Kyiv oblast are being switched from round-the-clock operation to standby mode. In case of emergency power outages or other emergencies, these centres will resume their work within 1-2 hours. Centres opened in administrative buildings will continue their work as usual.

The Lithuanian Cabinet of Ministers is preparing to transfer a mobile town designed for 36 families to Ukraine. The Lithuanian broadcaster LRT with reference to the documents of the Ministry of Economy reported that mobile homes worth 941.5 thousand euros will be handed over to Borodianka. Also, Lithuania will provide support for the restoration of three other facilities attacked by russia in February last year: the reconstruction of the bridge over the Trubizh river connecting Kyiv and Sumy oblasts, as well as the repair of a kindergarten in Irpin and a school in Borodyanka.

American partners will allocate funds to complete the overhaul of Bucha Lyceum # 3, where russian troops had their HQ during the occupation. The city council reported that a relevant memorandum was signed with the international NGO Ukraine Focus.

Kyivteploenergo has received a one-year supply of industrial salt from USAID for chemical treatment of water in the heating system. A year ago, Ukrainian heat supply companies lost access to Soledar’s salt mines due to hostilities. With the help of USAID, alternative supply lines for industrial salt were created.

According to the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development, RE:Ukraine Villages online construction tool is to be used in the reconstruction of housing in villages of Kyiv oblast. It will help simplify construction and make it more cost-effective. This online constructor, where one can choose from more than 211 million unique house configurations, was developed by the Balbek Bureau architectural bureau.

Despite the war, athletes of Kyiv oblast continue to hold the sports front, demonstrating their resilience at international and national competitions. The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that in January-February 2023, the athletes of the oblast won 306 awards in Olympic, non-Olympic, and Paralympic sports – 124 gold, 92 silver, and 90 bronze medals. The winners brought 25 awards from international competitions and 281 – from national competitions.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to the city council, the launch of city electric transport in Zhytomyr is postponed for at least five days due to problems with power supply companies. It was planned to resume the operation of electric public transport, suspended due to enemy shelling of the energy infrastructure facility on the night of 9 March, in the city this week.

Medical institutions of Zhytomyr oblast received another aid from the UN (UNICEF). It was provided to 28 medical institutions in the oblast under the WASH programme. This aid includes the following: 500 and 1000 litre water tanks, purification filters, institutional hygiene kits, cleaning trolleys, diapers and care kits for patients with mobility impairments.

According to the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, despite the war, farmers in Zhytomyr oblast plan to increase the area under grain crops in 2023. The total area under crops can be increased by 28.7 thousand hectares or 3% compared to the previous year and will amount to 1,114.2 thousand hectares.

Sumy oblast

Russian troops shelled 6 communities in Sumy oblast: Esman, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Shalyhine, Velyka Pysarivka, and Seredyno-Buda. The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that in total, there were 18 attacks and 130 shells fired from various types of weapons. As a result of one of the shelling, a woman was wounded as she was traveling in a vehicle from Bilopillia to Ryzhivka village. Residential building was damaged in Shalyhine community.

At night, russian terrorists attacked Bilopillia with a guided aerial bomb, resulting in one person being wounded. As a result of the attack, an outbuilding caught on fire, 2 private houses were damaged, a garage with a car and a low-pressure street gas pipeline were destroyed. Also, the windows of a gym and a two-storey apartment building were damaged.

The enemy continues to target civilian communities in the oblast. Today, as a result of artillery shelling of Chernatske village of Shostka region, a cultural centre, a playground and 5 private houses were damaged. Seredina-Buda community also came under artillery fire.

The Regional Military Administration reported that schedules of the Invincibility Centres were changed in the oblast. This decision was made due to low attendance, improved power supply, and weather conditions. Stationary centres deployed by the National Police, the State Emergency Service and responsible businesses will be switched to “standby” mode. Other centres will be open within working hours, where one can get access to the Internet and charge mobile devices.

Chernihiv oblast

According to the “North” operational command, the enemy continues shelling the border areas of Chernihiv oblast. Yesterday, Zorya came under hostile fire. There were 2 mortar bombs fired. The enemy launched 2 ATGM missiles at Kostobobriv.

At night, servicemen of the Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment destroyed an enemy Shahed UAV near one of the settlements. According to the State Border Guard Service, our forces constantly monitor the activity of enemy combat UAF. To this end, there is constant interaction with air defence units, as well as special groups for their tracking and neutralisation.

According to the head of the Chernihiv JFO, Viacheslav Chaus, over the past week, the enemy attacked the outskirts of 10 border settlements of Chernihiv oblast 19 times from Bryansk region. According to him, the entire population has been evacuated from Horodysche village, Novhorod-Siverskyi region. The man who died there on 24 March as a result of russian shelling came to check up on his house.

The Chernihiv Regional Military Administration reported that 477 settlements of Chernihiv oblast were occupied by russian military in February-March last year. According to preliminary estimates, more than 8,000 buildings and structures have been damaged or destroyed in the oblast. Moreover, according to the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, 488 people, including 21 children, were killed by the enemy, and 731 residents of the oblast were wounded.

According to the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, 18 entrepreneurs from Chernihiv oblast received microgrants as part of the “Own Business” programme of the eRobota project. Most of the awardees are from the regional centre. Approved business projects will create 50 new jobs. The amount of financial support ranges from UAH 50 to 250 thousand, depending on the number of jobs created.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to the Head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk, the occupiers attacked Dnipro with UAVs late in the evening on March 27. They hit a private enterprise. Two more UAVs were shot down by air defense forces. 

The head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA Serhii Lysak announced that President Zelensky visited the Nikopol region of Dnipropetrovsk oblast, which is constantly shelled by the russian army. He discussed the consequences of terrorist attacks on Nikopol, Marhanets, and other settlements in the region. 

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia City Council reported that the artworks of two students of the Vinnytsia Children’s Art School were presented in London at the exhibition-auction “100 paintings of children of indomitable Ukraine”. The exhibition was opened within the framework of the international charity program Kids and art for Ukraine. The purpose of the project is to support children affected by the war.

In Vinnytsia, 15 IDPs received diplomas of confectioners. The training was organized by the NGO “Podillia-Society Center” within the framework of the “Vinnytsia community adult education center” project in partnership with the city council.

Kirovohrad oblast

Oksana Shpudeyko, head of the conducting and choral department of the music college, informed that the residents of Kirovohrad Oblast joined the international action “Choirs for Peace”. They sang a song in Latin “Give us peace”. The action was launched last year in Madrid, Spain. Ukraine participated for the first time.

Poltava oblast

According to Dmytro Lunin, head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, a car and medicines from the Poltava region were handed over to Kateryna Yamshchikova, a military medic of the 116th Territorial Defence Brigade. The car will be sent to the east to save wounded and transport them. A socially responsible business bought the car. Medicinal products were purchased by regional doctors.

The head of the Reshetyliv community, Oksana Dyadyunova, reported that the Reshetyliv city council sent 10 AGM WOLF-7 PRO 1 night vision devices to the soldiers of military unit A 7044. 

Cherkasy oblast

According to head of the Cherkasy State Administration Ihor Taburets, the “Cherkasy” humanitarian hub handed over a modern electrocardiograph for resuscitation, as well as a load of consumables and medicines to the Kamianka multidisciplinary hospital. At the same time, the NGO “Rotary Club “Cherkasy” reinforced the institution with a special vehicle for the comfortable transportation of patients. 

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the situation has not significantly changed. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied borders. The enemy shelled 74 times the positions of Ukrainian defenders, using tank weapons, rocket and barrel artillery along the entire line of contact.

According to the report of the National Security Service in Zaporizhzhia oblast, the occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the area of  the settlements of  Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka, Huliaipilske, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Olhivske, Luhivske, Chervone, Scherbaky, Kamianske, Mali Shcherbaky.

According to the Zaporizhzhia regional police, over the past three days, russians shelled about 20 settlements in the Polohiv and Vasyliv districts. There was no information about any injuries. Police documented the largest number of hits in Orikhiv and Preobrazhenka. About 10 houses were damaged, as well as garages, cars and outbuildings located in the yard. 

The head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, has announced a visit to russia in an interview with the Associated Press. He wants to make it in the coming days after he visits the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP. He considers that resuming negotiations on keeping the nuclear power plant safe is his duty.

The mayor Melitopol Ivan Fedorov said that a power substation was blown up in the village of Fedorivka near the temporarily occupied Melitopol.  The village was left without electricity. 

Viktor Dudukalov, deputy head of the Berdiansk District Council said that in Berdiansk, the water from the Dnipro River has almost disappeared. The city is supplied with technical water from the Berda River, which is not suitable for domestic use.

Mykolaiv oblast

The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that Mykolaiv region has had a break from russian artillery shelling for four days now.

The National Bank of Ukraine issued a commemorative medal in honor of Mykolaiv as a hero city. According to the website of the financial regulator, it is dedicated to celebrating “the feat and resilience of the inhabitants of the city of shipbuilders, which has become a real fortress on the way of russian invaders in the south of Ukraine.”

Odesa oblast

Last night was relatively calm in Odesa region, with no air raid alerts and no shelling. Nevertheless, the threat from the Black Sea, the possibility of enemy missile strikes, and kamikaze attacks remain for Odesa region. Moreover, there is a high mine risk in the Black Sea due to the storm. “There is a high probability of naval mines being dislodged from their anchors and drifting to the shore, as well as drifting along the coast,” the South Command reported.

A memorial to the servicemen who fought in the anti-terrorist operation zone and later in the Joint Forces Operation and were killed in action was unveiled in Odesa on the territory of the National Guard of Ukraine military unit.

Silent and accelerating to 100 km/h in a few seconds – Odesa volunteers are testing an electric motorcycle that they assembled for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The main feature is its high cross-country ability. It can travel at a speed of 120 km/h, cover more than 100 km on a single charge, and can start from a standstill and accelerate to 100 km in less than 4 seconds. The bike was developed on the basis of a cross-country electric motorcycle, but its characteristics are much more powerful and not inferior to gasoline.

Kherson oblast

“South” Operational Command reported that Ukrainian troops destroyed 3 artillery pieces and 1 russian drone in Kherson oblast. Ukrainian soldiers destroyed 4 vehicles, including 2 that were loaded with ammunition for the russian occupiers.

According to the Kherson RMA, the russian invaders attacked civilian settlements in Kherson region 60 times. They fired 316 shells from mortars, artillery, tanks, drones, aircraft, and missile strikes on the region.

The russian army shelled residential areas of Kherson 8 times. An educational institution, private and apartment buildings were damaged in the city. 5 residents of Kherson oblast sustained injuries of varying severity.

On March 27, the mayor of Skadovsk, Oleksandr Yakovlev, met with the British Ambassador to Ukraine, Ms. Melinda Simmons in Lviv. They discussed possible cooperation programs to support Ukrainian citizens and, in particular, residents of the Skadovsk community now and after the de-occupation. Among key areas is the development of a strategy for the restoration of the Skadovsk community.

The Center for Investigative Journalism writes that in the Dzharylhach National Nature Park, located in the occupied Skadovsk district of Kherson oblast, russian invaders want to shoot wild animals, engage in water passenger transportation and restaurant business. This is stated in russian registration documents: in February, the occupiers illegally registered this park under russian law. 

According to DTEK, power engineers have restored 50% of the capacity of the de-occupied Tryfonivska solar power plant. Now the SPP can generate 5 MW of its installed capacity of 10 MW.

Volyn oblast

The photo exhibition “Stories from the occupied Crimea” opened in Lutsk. The exhibition presents 22 photos of Ukrainian reporters, taken in the temporarily occupied Crimea from 2014 to 2019.

Zakarpattia oblast

Vasyl Mariukhnych, director of the theater, reported that 7 employees of the Zakarpattia Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater defend Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

During a working trip to Zaporizhzhia oblast, Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, visited the advanced positions of the Ukrainian military and awarded servicemen of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of Zakarpattia with the “Order for Courage of the IIIrd Degree”.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The Regional Defense Council of Ivano-Frankivsk oblast decided to shorten the curfew. The curfew will last from midnight to 05:00.

The RMA reported that courses on integration into the economic area of the oblast will be held for IDPs. It aims to improve knowledge and skills of participants.

While in Zaporizhzhia oblast, Volodymyr Zelenskyy President of Ukraine, presented Vasyl Dudka, a serviceman of the 102nd Territorial Defense Brigade with the Order “For Courage” III degree.

Lviv oblast

Andrii Sadovy, Mayor of Lviv, met with the Italian delegation of Franciscan Fathers, volunteers and journalists. They discussed Lviv’s cooperation with the Saint Egidius Community and assured support for the development of the UNBROKEN ecosystem. Benefactors brought Easter greetings from Pope Francis and humanitarian aid to Lviv.

Lviv oblast received fire trucks and an ambulance, worth from EUR 3.5K to EUR 18K, from the German organization Freunde helfen Konvoi. Special transport will provide the needs of the oblast, in particular the State Emergency Service.

Over 50 families of IDPs, sheltered in Stryi region, received humanitarian aid, namely bedclothes, pillows, folding beds, mattresses, blankets, blankets, hygiene kits, and kitchen utensils, from the “NEEKA” CF thanks to the Stryi Regional Military Administration.

The Brody community received three 68 kW generators thanks to the USAID HOVERLA project.

In Sambir Region, the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Acting for Health” is being implemented in the Strilkiv Territorial Community. An automatic blood analyzer, medical equipment and medicines were purchased for hospitals, hot school meals were introduced in community schools, a combi steamer was purchased for a school in the village of Holovetsko and a library was added with grant funds.

A charity event in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, organized by the “For Heroes” CF and the Federation of the Strongest Athletes of Ukraine, took place in Lviv. At the event, a Ukrainian record was set and UAH 100K was collected for fighters from the intelligence brigade, which is actively working in the east of Ukraine.

Plastic surgeons from the US operated on 15 children during their medical mission to Lviv. One of their patients was 3-year-old Rostyk, whose father fell in the war.

On March 25, a charity climb to the highest peak of the Ukrainian Carpathians took place. “Hoverliana-2023” gathered almost two hundred participants. Over a hundred cadets of the Lviv State University of Life Safety accompanied participants on the hike. The youngest participant, Mark Lukash, is only 11 years old, and the oldest, Roman Bazylevych, is 84 years old.

Rivne oblast

Rivne oblast received humanitarian aid, namely 20 tires, shoes, clothes, respiratory masks, towels, wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, canes, hygiene products, from the Ukrainian diaspora from Toronto. In addition, 3 cars were sent for the military.

Ternopil oblast

A charity mini-football tournament was held in the village of Rosokhuvatets, Ternopil district. Over UAH 90 collected will go to the needs of the military.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Communities of the oblast received 25 portable charging stations from the UN Development Program, the Agency for Regional Development of Khmelnytskyi oblast and the Government of Japan within the framework of the project “Promoting the Security of Ukrainian Citizens in Response to the Crisis Caused by War.”

Chernivtsi oblast

An international press conference of representatives of Chernivtsi and Mannheim was held. Humanitarian aid and deepening of cooperation were discussed.

Residents of Chernivtsi received humanitarian aid, namely generators, school equipment, hygiene products and spare parts for water supply, worth almost EUR 100K, from the sister city of Manheim.

The Chernivtsi RMA is considering to purchase military bonds at the expense of free funds of the regional budget. The decision regarding the possibility of purchasing military bonds was approved by the deputies of the regional council.

Volunteers of the Vanchykovets community went to liberated Kherson oblast. Residents of Bukovy brought food for the soldiers, and distributed food, warm clothes and hygiene products to local residents.

Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defense, announced that Challengers from Britain, Strykers & Cougars from the US and Marders from Germany have already been shipped and are in battle readiness with units of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Jaroslav Nagy, Minister of Defense of Slovakia, reported that the country plans to increase the production of 155-mm shells from 30K to 150K per year, i.e. five times. But the EU needs help.

Sebastien Lecornu, Minister of the Armed Forces of France, announced that the country intends to increase supplies of 155 mm shells to Kyiv. The minister added that France will also send to Kyiv a SAMP/T air defense system capable of hitting ballistic targets in the near future.

Eric Mose, Head of the commission, announced that the UN International Commission of Inquiry will continue its activities in Ukraine and look for evidence of genocide if its mandate is extended.

Boyko Noev, former Minister of Defense of Bulgaria, stated that the country through intermediaries can transfer €175 million worth of old ammunition to Ukraine. Such an amount can change the course of events on the front.

Pawel Jablonski, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, stated that Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, may pay an unannounced visit to Poland in the near future.

Linas Linkevicius, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, believes that putin resorted to nuclear intimidation out of desperation due to the expectation of a Ukrainian counteroffensive. Linkevicius added that putin will bluff in the hope that someone will get scared. “But no one is afraid anymore,” the diplomat stated.
