It has been the 394th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian army conducted 40 air and 5 missile strikes, and launched over 20 MLRS attacks against civilian infrastructure and positions of Ukrainian Defense Forces. The attacks resulted in casualties among the civilian population.

Ukraine is still under the threat of missile and air strikes. 

The russian army concentrates key efforts on offensive operations towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Mariinka, and Shakhtarsk. Ukrainian troops repelled more than 38 russian attacks there.

Towards Volyn, Polissya, Siversk and Sloboda, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There are no signs of the formations of russian offensive groupings. Russian military has the combat training in the republic of belarus. Russia maintains enhanced military presence in the border areas of Kursk and Belgorod oblasts. Russian military shelled the vicinities of Horodysche, Chernihiv oblast; Kharkivka, Iskryskivschyna, Vorozhba, Bilopillya, Richki, and Myropillya, Sumy oblast; Basov, Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Ambarne, and Topoli, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk and Lyman, the russian army conducted unsuccessful offensives in Serebriansk forestry area and in the vicinities of Hrianykivka and Bilohorivka. Russian artillery units shelled the vicinities of Kamianka, Dvorichna, Hrianykivka, Zapadne, Kupyansk, and Pischane, Kharkiv oblast; Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast; as well as Terny and Spirne, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the russian army makes further unsuccessful attempts to seize the town of Bakhmut and to attack Ukrainian positions in the vicinities of Orihovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, and Stupochky settlements, Donetsk oblast. Russian troops shelled Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Stupochki, Predtechyne, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Zalizne, Severny, and Toretske.

Towards Avdiivka, Mariinka, and Shakhtarsk, the russian army attempted to advance towards Keramik, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, Pervomaiske and Pobieda settlements, Donetsk oblast. However, all attacks have failed. Avdiivka, Tonenke, Netaylove, Lastochkine, Heorgiivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Prechistivka, and Zolota Niva, Donetsk oblast, were subject to numerous russian attacks.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the russian army is on the defensive. However, russian soldiers shelled Olhivske, Malynivka, Chervone, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, Orihiv, Novoandriivka, and Stepove, Zaporizhzhia oblast; Bilozerka and the city of Kherson.

Russian troops continue to put pressure on the civilian population of the temporarily occupied settlements of Luhansk oblast of Ukraine. It is becoming more and more difficult to move between settlements. The village of Pluhatar can be accessed only by local residents with special passes.

The Ukrainian Air Force conducted 16 air strikes on the concentrations of russian troops and military equipment. Ukrainian military shot down 1 Shahed-136 and 1 Lancet loitering munitions.

At the same time, Ukrainian rocket and artillery troops hit 2 command posts, 4 buildups of russian troops, weapons and military equipment, 2 anti-aircraft missile systems, 1 ammunition depot, 1 artillery system, and 2 electronic warfare stations.


According to the Ministry of Reintegration, 83 bodies of fallen defenders were returned back to Ukraine. The ombudsman on missing persons under the Ministry of Reintegration was working closely with law enforcement authorities to make it happen. 

The Coordination center on captives informed that Ukraine repatriated all seriously wounded russian soldiers unilaterally. It wasn’t an exchange, rather repatriation in accordance with the international humanitarian law. They also stressed that russia is still keeping in captivity Ukrainian citizens which should be exchanged under no conditions. 

According to the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Lubinets, russia deported 16 228 Ukrainian kids. These deported kids are being kept in russia. 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at least 17 settlements were shelled. 

Based on the information provided by the regional Department of Architecture and Urban Development, as of March 20, during the full-scale invasion, 21 550 objects have been damaged or destroyed in the region, including buildings, medical facilities and roads.

The State Emergency Service press service reported that during the shelling of Vilcha, Vovchansk, Lyman and Vovchansky Khutory, private buildings and a paramedic station were damaged.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that in the morning a truck driver tripped  an anti-tank mine in Vilkhivka village and blew up. The 56-year-old man was hospitalized.

On February 28, a new sign was installed in Lyceum # 11, which was renamed after Danylo Didyk, who died in the attack on the Unity March.

The enemy continues to shell civilians and civilian infrastructure in the border settlements of Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Bohodukhiv districts. Kupiansk, Hrianykivka, Krokhmalne, Strilecha, Starytsia, Vilkhuvatka and others were under enemy attacks yesterday.

In Morozova Dolyna and Basove villages of Bohodukhiv region, private buildings, farm buildings and power lines were damaged as a result of artillery and mortar shelling. There were no casualties.

Humanitarian de-mining is ongoing. Yesterday, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service inspected about 4 hectares of territory and defused another 155 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

Vadym Liakh, chairman of the Sloviansk City Military Administration announced that a site on Heroiv Krut Boulevard has been chosen to create a Walk of Fame in Sloviansk. The area is currently being landscaped.

Colonel Oleksii Dmytrashkivskyi, spokesman of the joint press centre of the Defence Forces of Ukraine in Tavriisk sector, said that towards Avdiivka, the invaders are short of ammunition and equipment. They have started setting up false positions to create the appearance of superiority.

In the middle of the night, russians launched a missile attack on Kostiantynivka, hitting the Centre for the Registration of Homeless People, where 10 people were staying at the time. As a result, 3 people were killed and 2 injured.

Towards Donetsk, there was another air strike on Avdiivka in the evening, missiles hit a residential area and the outskirts of the Avdiivka Coke Plant. Two 5-storey buildings were damaged in Krasnohorivka. Marinka and Kostiantynivka village were also shelled. At night, Hirnyk of Kurakhove community was shelled, 7 apartment buildings, a non-operational hospital building and power lines were damaged.

Towards Horlivka, 1 person was killed in Chasiv Yar and 2 buildings damaged. In Toretsk community, 23 buildings in New-York, 3 two-story buildings and 1 private building in Toretsk were damaged. There were isolated attacks in Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Minkivka and Vasiukivka of Soledar community.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk RMA, reported that yesterday russians killed 3 civilians: 1 in Chasiv Yar and 2 in Kostiantynivka. Another 5 people were injured. 

Luhansk oblast

Towards Kupiansk and Lyman, the enemy maintains its military presence to prevent our troops from being redeployed to other areas.  The invaders tried to break through our defence near Makiivka but had no success. They targeted Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Pischane and Bilohorivka with artillery.

Serhii Cherevatyi, the spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noted that the enemy attacked 427 times from cannon and rocket artillery in this area of the frontline yesterday. There were two battles. One of them was near Kreminna. During these battles, 64 russians were eliminated, 119 injured and two more taken prisoner. Every day our military destroys enemy armoured vehicles there. Only yesterday two armoured personnel vehicles, a drone and a D-30 cannon were neutralized.

Recruits of Liut (Rage) unified assault brigade of the National Police in Volyn are in the final stage of training.

Referring to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the invaders are increasing the number of beds in hospitals in Luhansk oblast, young people in Alchevsk will be taught the basics of journalism in “russian way”, outbound brigade not only issue russian passports but also translate the necessary documents.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

It has been officially announced that curfew has been reduced in Kyiv oblast and in the capital. Starting from 26 March, the curfew will last from 00:00 to 05:00. Due to the curfew reduction, most suburban and intercity bus routes in the oblast will run longer. Thus, passenger transport will increase its working hours by 60 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening.

On 23 March, the Ukrainian Tax Reform and Anti-Corruption Summit took place in Kyiv. The meeting was attended by representatives of the World Bank, non-governmental economic organisations in Europe and the United States. Participants discussed the global experience of post-war reconstruction, unique Ukrainian practice, reset of the country’s tax system and its reforms after the victory in the war against the enemy.

President Volodymyr Zelensky met with the World Bank delegation led by Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Anna Bjerde. The President’s Office noted that during the meeting, the parties paid special attention to securing donor funding under the coordination of the World Bank for reconstruction projects in Ukraine, primarily in the areas of transport infrastructure, electricity, and healthcare.

The football club Dynamo reported that a Resilience Centre has been arranged in the heart of Kyiv near the Valeriy Lobanovsky Stadium. This centre has electricity, satellite Internet, water, and drinks. It is planned to provide psychological and cultural support to Ukrainians in this Centre, and it will also be possible to watch TV there.

Children of defenders of Ukraine will be provided with free meals in Kyiv municipal educational institutions. This decision was made by the deputies of the Kyiv City Council. To this end, servicemen who have children do not have to be registered in Kyiv.

The Kyiv City State Administration reported that in Kyiv, 500 children from Dniprovskyi district will receive pills for learning from Polish partners. These are children in difficult life circumstances, orphans and children deprived of parental care. Children of the capital are supported by the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Tarnów.

The Movie “Outpost Irpin” was released to mark the anniversary of the city’s liberation. The main storyline focuses on the defence of the city by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and territorial defence forces from 24 February to 28 March 2022 during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by russian troops. The video footage was shot by direct participants in the events – members of the territory defence forces, Ukrainian soldiers, doctors, volunteers, and civilians who were being evacuated.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to the Department of Education of the Zhytomyr City Council, 15% of students study at Zhytomyr lyceums remotely because they are living abroad. As a result of the full-scale war, 4,800 children moved away from Zhytomyr abroad, but continued their remote learning in Zhytomyr schools. Around 300 children dropped out of educational institutions in the city.

Pillows, camouflage nets and trench candles are being made at the Luhyn Lyceum in Zhytomyr oblast at the request of local soldiers stationed at the front line. According to the lyceum’s director, Anatoliy Tsapuk, more than 500 metres of camouflage nets have been woven and 2,500 trench candles have been made. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, teachers, parents, students and residents of Luhyn have been bringing crafting materials.

In Zhytomyr, funds from the sale of key chains with wreckage of russian plane will be used to support the military. A limited collection of patriotic keychains made from the wing of a russian SU-25 aircraft was produced by a team from one of the companies. 300 thousand hryvnias have already been transferred to the account of the Zhytomyr Community Foundation; these funds will be used to purchase a vehicle for the 95th Air Assault Brigade.

Sumy oblast

Russians shelled Nova Sloboda, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, and Hlukhiv communities in Sumy oblast. In total, there were 68 shells fired from mortars, grenade launchers – AGS and LPG, barrel artillery, and MLRS.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that at night, the enemy launched a massive attack on Bilopillia region, shelling Vorozhba, Richky, Mykolaivske, and Nova Sloboda communities. Around 100 shells were fired. As a result of the shelling, there were human casualties and destruction of infrastructure.

In Bilopillia, one of the bombs dropped from russian aircraft hit a police building, damaging a local school. Also, the russians shelled the community with Grad multiple rocket launchers (80 shells) and barrel artillery (20 shells). As a result of the attack on Bilopillia, a police inspector and a school guard were killed and 9 other citizens were injured. An administrative building, a school, a dormitory, apartment blocks, and private houses were destroyed.

The enemy shelled Vorozhba community with MLRS. A person was injured, a residential building and an outbuilding were damaged.

Richky community suffered an air strike and a kamikaze drone strike on the territory of Vyry village. A kindergarten and an administrative building were damaged, a school building was destroyed. The enemy shelled Richky village with artillery: a high school building, houses and an administrative building were damaged.

The enemy also launched an aerial attack on Mykolaivka village council building. Local industrial facilities and agricultural machinery were damaged.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that on 24 March, russian troops shelled Richky village, Sumy district, with Grad multiple rocket launchers. Residential buildings, a high school and an administrative building were damaged.

An excavator was blown up on a mine in Okhtyrka district. The accident occurred around lunchtime near Trostianets, when construction equipment was working on a bridge. Four people were injured and taken to hospital as a result of the explosion. Another incident occurred near Putivl: a tractor exploded on an enemy munition during field work. A 40-year-old employee of the company is in the hospital.

According to JSC Sumygaz, gas supply lines were damaged as a result of night attacks on communities in Sumy oblast.

Chernihiv oblast

According to the “North” operational command, Tymonovychi village of Semenivka community in Chernihiv oblast came under hostile fire yesterday. There were 10 shells, possibly from barrel artillery.   

The invaders continue to attack the border of Chernihiv region, around noon it became known about the shelling of Horodysche village of Novgorod-Siverska community was shelled. The attack was probably carried out with mortars. A resident of the village died and his house burned down as a result of shelling.

The russian general who was in charge of the offensive on Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kyiv oblasts will be tried in absentia in Chernihiv oblast. Alexander Lapin was the head of the Russian group “Centre”, participated in preparation, planning and organization of the invasion of Ukraine by his subordinate units. Lapin is charged with “Encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, which led to the death of people or other grave consequences” and “Waging an aggressive war”.

Chernihiv celebrates the 400th anniversary of the Magdeburg Law. On 27 March 1623, Polish King Sigismund III granted Chernihiv the rights of self-government, land ownership, and trade and craft privileges. In honour of this event, a number of educational and entertainment events are planned in the city, including children’s quests on the Magdeburg Law.

The “100% Life” charity organization has donated an oxygen station to the central city hospital located in Novhorod-Siverskyi, Chernihiv oblast.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Kirovohrad oblast

Lydia Domrova, a retiree from Kropyvnytskyi, has already collected more than 30,000 hryvnias for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, for which the Orthodox Church of Ukraine awarded her the Cross of Freedom Order. Using collected funds, she buys sweets and fabric for sewing underwear and socks for the military.

In Kirovohrad oblast, the art museum presented the traveling exhibition “Embroidered with pain” on the crimes of sexual violence committed by the russian occupiers.

Poltava oblast

The units of the State Emergency Service are trained in Poltava oblast to use drones to detect explosives and fires. Studies consist of theoretical and practical lessons. Currently, two groups of rescuers have already completed courses and received diplomas.

Cherkasy oblast

According to head of the Cherkasy State Administration Ihor Taburets, the Uman region handed over 2 pickup trucks from agricultural producers of the Mankivka community for machine gunners. Cherkasy region handed over 5 SUVs for Cherkasy battalions. Satellite communication complexes and necessary things were also handed over.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Today, the russian army shelled Orikhiv all morning. Residential buildings caught on fire as a result of the enemy attack. A local resident was injured.

Yesterday, on March 23, the enemy launched 131 attacks at the positions of Ukrainian defenders, using tank weapons, rocket and barrel artillery along the entire line of contact. The occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in Charivne, Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Mali Shcherbaky, Chervone, Kamianske, Orikhiv, Preobrazhenka, Huliaipilske, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Bilohiria, Poltavka, Temyrivka, Chervona Krynitsa, Stepove. The police received 16 reports about the destruction of houses (apartments) and infrastructure objects as a result of shelling by russian military personnel.

According to the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, russia allocated 18 billion hryvnias to finance military organizations for children in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The russians created a dozen organizations, such as “Yunarmiya”, “Yug molody”, etc., which promote the need to serve the russian federation. The occupiers also organized a “voluntary youth squad”, whose members will help russian troops during the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The court seized another asset of Oksana Marchenko, who is suspected of financing russian occupation groups, based on the Security Service investigation. This is 6.8% of the shares of PJSC “Electrometallurgical Plant “Dniprospetsstal” named after A.M. Kuzmina” in Zaporizhzhia, which Marchenko owns through three offshore companies. Their total value is more than UAH 440 million. Seizure of assets will prevent them from being re-registered as fictitious persons and in the future will allow them to be transferred to the benefit of Ukraine.

Mykolaiv oblast

Yesterday, the enemy launched mortar attacks on the water area of the Dnipro-Buh estuary in the Ochakiv community. According to Mykolaiv RMA, there are no casualties, and the number of civilian objects damaged by russian shelling has increased by another 2.

The office of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights continues to support the implementation of the European Commission’s project on arranging mobile homes for internally displaced persons in Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts. 500 such houses have already been delivered to Mykolaiv oblast,and  600 to Kherson oblast. Most of them will be installed on private land plots while damaged or destroyed property is being repaired.

Every Sunday, the children’s space organizes free theatrical performances for the children of Mykolaiv and children from IDP families in the “Kazka” children’s town. Actors of the Mykolaiv Academic Art Drama Theater will perform until the end of March. And in April, the Mykolaiv Academic Regional Puppet Theater takes up the initiative.

Odesa oblast

Yesterday evening, the russian army launched an air attack using Su-35 aircraft. The enemy fired two Kh-59 guided missiles over Odesa oblast from over the Black Sea. However, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down both enemy targets.

The rescuers of the Podilsk region received new modern equipment and combat clothing from the Podilsk Regional State Administration and the Balta City Council.

The children of fallen soldiers were presented with silver pendants-charms “Father’s heart” in in the city of Biliaivka, Odesa oblast. Such an event is taking place in the urban territorial community for the first time within the Memorandum on Cooperation implementation. The document was signed between the city council and “All-Ukrainian military-civilian association “Military Brotherhood of Ukraine” public union.

The Odesa bus offers free travel on the day of putin’s death. Such an announcement can be seen in the interior of one of the buses.

Kherson oblast

Seven children, who were forcibly sent to Ievpatoria in October of last year, supposedly for “rehabilitation” in a children’s camp, were returned to Kherson oblast to their relatives. This was possible thanks to the efforts of volunteers of the “Save Ukraine” Charitable Foundation.

The enemy shelled the floats in Kherson. Two men managed to cross the river, where medical personnel were already waiting for them on the bank. A 55-year-old man died from a shrapnel wound in the chest. Another victim, a 77-year-old man from Kherson, received injuries to his limbs and chest. The russian army also shelled the warehouse.

In the morning, the russians attacked Bilozerka with artillery. Russian soldiers targeted the homes of civilians. One person died, four others were injured.

In the afternoon, the russians shelled the village of Kizomys, the Bilozerka community. One shell hit a private house. A local resident was injured.

The police shot down quadcopters in Beryslav, which were used for enemy attacks at the city. The specified drones were shot down by the fighters of the joint unit of the Patrol Police Department together with the employees of the special purpose police company of the National Security Service of Ukraine in Kherson oblast.

Yesterday, March 23, russian invaders attacked peaceful settlements in Kherson oblast 74 times. More than 420 shells were fired from mortars, MLRS, artillery, tanks, drones and BMP. Residential quarters of Kherson were shelled 4 times by the russian military. A medical facility, private and apartment buildings were damaged in the city. 1 person was killed due to russian aggression.

Yesterday, the police opened 34 criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes committed by the russian army in Kherson oblast. As a result of the russian attacks, the cardiology center, regional administration, museum, newspaper editorial office and kindergarten were damaged. During stabilization measures the police discovered the burial of an 82-year-old local woman on the territory of a private household in the village of Myroliubivka. It has been preliminarily established that the woman died at the end of May last year as a result of artillery shelling by the russian.

Around 40-50% of the infrastructure has been destroyed in Beryslav as a result of russian shelling. This was announced by the head of the RMA, Volodymyr Litvinov. Residential buildings, critical infrastructure, and administrative buildings in the city were destroyed. At the same time, as of today, about 3.5 thousand people remain in Beryslav.

Volunteers brought humanitarian aid to the village of Petropavlivka, the Novoaleksandrivka community. Local residents received hygiene kits, solar lanterns and suitcases on wheels for the elderly, as well as grocery and vegetable kits.

Volyn oblast

The RMA reported that training shootings were held in the Lutsk district.

The fighters of the Volyn Territorial defense turned an old reconnaissance and patrol car into a modern armored vehicle named “Wolfwolf”.

Zakarpattia oblast

“Owl’s Nest” volunteers handed over humanitarian aid from the Hungarian Ecumenical Aid Service to IDPs shelters (schools, dormitories). They also provided humanitarian aid to families with children thanks to the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e.V.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ruslan Martsinkiv, Mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk, announced that 22 defenders of Ukraine will receive a one-time payment of UAH 20K in the amount of UAH 440K. 18 wounded servicemen will receive UAH 10K each for treatment.

Lviv oblast

During the year, the Lviv Defense Cluster produced almost 100K body armor. 800 tonnes of armored steel were imported for production of armor plates. 130 km² of cordura (special fabric) was spent on production of plate carriers for body armor. It can almost completely cover the city of Lviv. 66 km² of polyethylene foam was used for the damping layer on the armor plates.

Defenders in different oblasts of Ukraine received another 24 SUVs and 20 generators from foresters in Poland, the Western Interregional Department of Forestry and Hunting and the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv oblast.

Representatives of the Japanese non-governmental organization “Peace Winds Japan” and The right to protection CF sent humanitarian aid to Strii. Over 50 IDPs living in a dormitory of one of the city’s schools received food kits. Closer to Easter, charitable organizations will send 400 food kits to residents of Stryii community who are in difficult life circumstances.

In Yavoriv community, a Support Center for Defenders, families of fallen Heroes of Ukraine, was created. Informational and advisory support will be provided here regarding the protection of the rights and fundamental freedoms of defenders, the wounded, missing and captured, as well as the families of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.

In Chervonohrad, a three-day training as part of the “Unity for Action” program, implemented by the international organization IREX Ukraine, ended. Its goal is to create an inclusive, democratic and cohesive society. 17 trainees from among IDPs became participants.

Rivne oblast

The number of Invincibility Centers is being reduced in Rivne oblast. Some of them will be transferred to the so-called “sleeping” mode. Thus, for the spring-summer period, only 97 of the 296 Invincibility Centers in the oblast will continue to operate.

The RMA reported that over 400 educational institutions of Rivne oblast received “School in a Box” kits from UNICEF.

Ternopil oblast

Serhii Nadal, Mayor of Ternopil, reported that wives of defenders, IDP women and women from socially vulnerable categories of the population who give birth in Ternopil will be able to receive baby boxes.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Large families of IDPs living in Khmelnytskyi oblast received electric generators and packages with food and hygiene kits for adults and children from the LIFE Cologne e.V. CF and the RMA.

A DJI Mavic 3 quadcopter was sent from Khmelnytskyi for soldiers from the special operations forces thanks to Smartlift LLC. Over 260 drones and quadcopters of various models have been sent from the city to the front.

Chernivtsi oblast

The Chernivtsi RMA signed a memorandum with the public organization Rotary Club – Chernivtsi. It envisages cooperation to ensure the rights of IDPs and persons who suffered as a result of the russian military aggression against Ukraine.

A round table “Ukraine-NATO relations: prospects for joining the Alliance.” was held in Chernivtsi. Scientists, experts and public officials considered the current trends of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic progress, as well as regional features of the implementation of state policy regarding Ukraine’s accession to NATO.

The team from Chernivtsi oblast participates in the project “Crisis support for IDP children”, which involves health screening and the provision of the necessary psychosocial support, as well as correctional services. They do this within the framework of the UNICEF Together project.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The UN documented killing of over 8K and the wounding of almost 14K civilians in Ukraine due to russian aggression.

Germany sent a new aid package for Ukraine, which includes 70 German single MG3 machine guns of 7.62×51 mm NATO caliber for installation on Leopard 2 tanks, Marder and Dachs BMPs; spare parts for Leopard 2 and Marder; 30 drone detection systems; three Pionierpanzer 2 Dachs armored engineering vehicles based on the German Leopard 1 tank.

Martin Ondracek, author of the Czech “Gift for putin” initiative stated that the initiative collected over EUR 1.2 million for the purchase of RM-70 MLRS for Ukraine. The transfer is planned in the coming weeks.

Spain will send its first batch of Leopard 2A4 battle tanks to Ukraine by the end of next week. Spain’s Defense Ministry reported that six Leopard 2A4 tanks, which are being prepared for shipment, have passed final checks at a factory near Seville in southern Spain.

The Swedish Parliament approved a new package of military aid worth EUR 554 million, which includes military equipment and ammunition, namely, Leopard 2 tanks, Archer self-propelled guns and Robot 57 light anti-tank weapons, to Ukraine.

Poland joined the joint procurement by EU countries of 1 million ammunition for Ukraine during the year.

The EU summit supported the creation of an international mechanism for registering the losses of Ukraine caused by the russian federation. EU leaders also approved the “Peace Formula” from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Andrzej Duda, President of Poland, discussed humanitarian aid for Ukraine with Prince of Wales William.

Von der Leyen announced an initiative to return Ukrainian children kidnapped by russia. “Deportation of children is a war crime. In partnership with the Ukrainians and Morawiecki, Prime Minister of Poland, we launched an initiative aimed at repatriation of Ukrainian children abducted by russia,” said von der Leyen.

The World Athletics extended the ban on participation in competitions for the russian federation and belarus.

NATO will conduct military exercises near the border of russia. 2.5K Polish and foreign military personnel, about 500 pieces of equipment will take part in the exercises.

Poland built 107 km of fences on the border with russia’s kaliningrad region.
