It has been the 387th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The Russian army carried out 19 airstrikes and launched 26 MLRS attacks.

Ukraine is still under the threat level of missile strikes.

Towards Volyn, Polissya, Siversk and Sloboda, the operational situation has not changed significantly. Russia continues to reinforce defense lines in the border areas of its Bryansk and Kursk oblasts. Moreover, the russian army maintains an enhanced military presence in Belgorod oblast to conduct simulative actions and prevent Ukrainian Defense Forces from being transferred to other directions. Russian military shelled the vicinities of Starykov, Volfyne, and Solyanyki settlements, Sumy oblast; Strilech, Hlyboke, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Kutkivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, and Ternov, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk and Lyman, russian military made unsuccessful attempts to break through Ukrainian defense lines. Russian troops shelled a number of settlements, including Vesele, Hrianykivka, Vilshana, Krokhmalne, Berestov, Dibrova, and Andriivka, Kharkiv oblast; Novoyehorivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast. Russian soldiers attempted to advance towards Hrianykivka, Verkhnokamyanske, and Spirne.

Towards Bakhmut, russia is struggling to seize the city of Bakhmut, where constant positional battles are raging. Ukrainian troops repelled russian attacks in the vicinity of Klischiivka and Ivanovske settlements. Minskivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Zaliznianske, Vasyukivka, Bakhmut, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Ozaryanivka and Oleksandro-Shultine, Donetsk oblast, were attacked.

Towards Avdiivka, Marinka, and Shakhtarsk, russian military attempted unsuccessful offensives towards Kamianka, Nevelske, Avdiivka, and Mariinka, Donetsk oblast. Kamianka, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maksimilianivka, Marinka, Vuhledar, Velyka Novosilka, and Zolota Niva, Donetsk oblast, were shelled from artillery.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, russia is on the defensive. Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Mali Scherbaki, and Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia oblast, Vremivka, Donetsk oblast; Dobra Nadiia, Dnipropetrovsk oblast; Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Vesele, Kozatske, Ivanivka, Mykilske, Dniprovske, Kherson, Berehove Veletenske, and Kizomys, Kherson oblast, were struck by russians.

Russian troops were reported to establish a new hospital in Svatove, Luhansk oblast. Following the initial reporting, up to 30 severely wounded Russian military personnel were delivered to the hospital in the last 2 days. In general, there is an increase in the number of seriously wounded russian soldiers. The number of evacuation flights to the territory of russia has increased from two to three per week. Local residents who have at least some medical education are forced to provide medical treatment to russian troops.

Russian troops, with the active support of local collaborators, are increasing the number of torture chambers in the temporarily occupied and captured territories of Ukraine. Thus, a newly created torture chamber was spotted in the southeastern part of Enerhodar, Zaporizhzhia oblast. There, citizens with pro-Ukrainian views, as well as those who do not want to comply with the demands of the local occupying so-called authorities, are brutally tortured.

The Ukrainian Air Force conducted 6 air strikes on the concentrations of russian troops and military equipment.


According to the Chief Intelligence Directorate, 2 women and 6 kids were released by Ukrainian military intelligence from Syrian captivity where they were kept in appalling conditions. 

According to the Verkhovna Rada website, the act#198 on creating the state register of damaged and destroyed property and the procedure of compensatory payments by the state was adopted. Civilians are entitled to receive the compensatory payment if the property was damaged/destroyed after February 24th, 2022.  The act will be effective for 3 years after the martial law will no longer be effective or canceled on the territory where this property is located. 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian invaders shelled at least 23 settlements. Russia keeps a group of troops in Belgorod region to conduct simulative actions and prevent the transfer of Ukrainian units to other areas. They tried to advance towards Hrianykivka and shelled at least 17 settlements.

Prosecutor’s Office said that russian troops shelled three settlements in Kupiansk region. Buildings and outbuildings were damaged. There were no injuries as a result of the attacks.

Viktor Kovalenko, head of Zolochiv community, reported that in Chervona Zoria buildings and infrastructure were completely destroyed. According to him, russia shelled the settlement with artillery 10 times on 17 March.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that in Izium, a 66-year-old woman who was in the woods stepped on a Butterfly anti-personnel mine. She was taken to hospital with a serious injury. Now doctors are providing the woman with all  necessary assistance.

Yesterday, the enemy continued shelling the settlements of Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Kharkiv regions. Specifically, Vovchansk, Kupiansk, Strilecha, Ohirtseve, Shevchenkove, Hryanykivka and others were under attack. Residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged. There were no civilian casualties.

Yesterday, 24 people were evacuated from the areas under constant shelling. Those evacuated received humanitarian aid. Those who needed it were provided with accommodation.

Humanitarian de-mining is ongoing. Yesterday, pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service defused 56 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

According to the evening operational information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy has been trying to capture the city of Bakhmut, where constant positional fighting is raging. Our defenders repelled enemy attacks near Klischiivka and Ivanivske.

Towards Donetsk, a colony building was damaged in Kurakhove community. In Mariinka community, Marinka and Krasnohorivka, in Ocheretyne community, Krasnohorivka, Kamianka, Sieverne and Vodiane were shelled. In the morning, there was an air strike on Avdiivka, without casualties. 

Towards Horlivka, there were two waves of shelling of Kostiantynivka with cluster munitions from Uragan MRLs, 6 people were injured, at least 19 buildings, a school and a business damaged. 1 person was killed and 1 injured in Toretsk, 1 person injured and 5 apartment buildings damaged in Bakhmut. 

In Soledar community, 5 buildings in Fedorivka and 5 buildings in Vasiukivka were damaged and it was loud in Chasiv Yar community. Towards Lysychansk, the outskirts of Siversk community, Torske and Zarichne of Lyman community were under attack. In just 24 hours, russians killed 2 residents and injured 8 others.

Vitalii Barabash, head of Avdiivka City Military Administration, reported that in the morning, russian troops hit a 14-storey residential building with a missile. Data on the destruction and casualties are being clarified.

Russian troops launched over thirty attacks yesterday. Shells, missiles or debris hit 46 residential buildings, businesses and other civilian objects. Selydove City Military Administration informed about the attack with Uragan MRLs. A woman was killed.

Musa Mahomed, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, said that russian troops attacked Orlivka village in Yasynuvata region.

Petro Andriushchenko, Mariupol Mayor’s Councillor, reported that russian invaders have set up a helicopter platform on the territory of Azovstal. He noted that the city is turning into a russian military base.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine stated that Ukrainian border guards repelled two russian assaults near Bakhmut.

Volunteers from the Lviv Defence Cluster have delivered another shipment of bulletproof vests for medical workers in Donetsk oblast. In total, about 1,100 have been delivered to the region. The bulletproof vests were developed by specialists from the Lviv Defence Cluster and the Kharkiv Personal Protective Equipment Plant. They are made of high quality Israeli material.

Luhansk oblast

The enemy is trying to break through the defences of our troops towards Kupiansk and Lyman. Yesterday, they conducted unsuccessful offensives near Kreminna and Kuzmyne.

Russians also shelled Novoselivske, Nevske and Bilohorivka with artillery.

Oleksandr Striuk, head of the Sievierodonetsk Civil-Military Administration, said that the invaders have not started the promised large-scale reconstruction of the city. He also noted that the invaders gave the workers humanitarian aid instead of money for their labour. Essential goods can be bought in Sievierodonetsk, but the prices are 2-3 times higher.

Referring to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, for orphans, applications for refusal of Ukrainian citizenship are submitted by social institutions and guardians, minimum pensions are recalculated only if a russian passport with registration is available and a three-day working week is being established in Novopskov region.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Procedural agreement regarding the terms and procedure for changing the length of the curfew in Kyiv is ongoing. As the head of the KСMA Serhii Popko reported, the curfew in the city is planned to be shortened starting from March 26 – it will last from 00:00 to 05:00.

On the anniversary of the tragedy in Mariupol, the peaceful action “WHERE ARE YOU” was held in the capital. Many people gathered in front of the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet of Ukraine named after Taras Shevchenko to honor the memory of those killed in the Mariupol Drama Theater.

A seminar for veterans who want to engage in rehabilitation of their comrades and gain the skills of instructors in providing primary psychological aid will be held in Kyiv on March 18. As reported by the KCSA, the speaker of the seminar will be Boris Sygal, a representative of the Israeli organization Brothers for Life, which has been engaged in complex rehabilitation of veterans on a “peer-to-peer” basis for 16 years. The event will be held at the Kyiv City Center for Assistance to ATO Participants.

Kyiv will receive 60 used metro cars from Warsaw worth over UAH 330 million. The first batch of wagons will already go to the capital in March. All of them have technical certificates confirming their efficiency. In the long term, the Kyiv metro plans to completely change russian-made wagons.

The Kyiv RMA reported that residents of Kyiv oblast have already exchanged more than 500,000 incandescent lamps for LED lamps. The exchange takes place as part of the program of the EU and the Government. Replacing incandescent bulbs with LED ones will allow you to save electricity, since LED lamps consume 7-8 times less electricity.

The KCSA reported that training on first aid took place at 12 subway stations in the capital. How to make an initial assessment of the victim’s condition, provide assistance in case of massive bleeding, respiratory failure, thermal burns, the skills of first aid are taught free of charge by the instructors of the Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine.

During the auction at a charity dinner with the participation of singers Oleksandr Ponomarev, Mykhailo Khoma (Dzidzio) and showman Yuri Gorbunov, 1.8 million UAH was collected. “People’s hits” of performers sounded from the stage of the “Parkovy” shopping center, and exclusive items from artists, politicians, sports and show business stars were presented among charity auction lots. All funds will be used to help the Armed Forces and to reconstruct six apartments for families from Luhansk oblast and Bakhmut.

Zhytomyr oblast

Two territorial communities of Zhytomyr oblast were selected to participate in the “Community 4.0” program. This is a five-month acceleration program for representatives of local self-government bodies, which will help implement digital projects for communities during and after the war. Over the next five months, representatives of Yarun and Baranivka communities will receive new knowledge and experience from Ukrainian specialists in digital transformation.

Zhytomyr Lyceum #15 held a charity fair “Do good – it will come back a hundredfold” and collected 10,000 hryvnias to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The initiators of the event were students of the first to fourth grades. Parents of lyceum students took an active part in the fair, helping to prepare and sell goodies.

Sumy oblast

The Sumy RMA reported that the occupiers shelled two border communities of the Sumy oblast; about 133 hits were recorded. The enemy fired mortars and AGS-17 at Bilopillia community: a total of 90 hits were reorded. Shalyhine community came under mortar shelling. There were 43 hits.

The “North” Operational Command reported that the russian military continued shelling  Shalyhine community. 9 hits, probably from self-propelled guns, were recorded on the territory of the village of Starykovo. According to the report of the General Staff, the settlements of Volfine and Solyaniki in Bilopillia region were also shelled.

Four communities in Sumy oblast received operating tables for hospitals. The aid came as part of the project “EU Strong Regions Program – a special program of support for Ukraine”, financed by the EU and Germany. The total cost of the equipment is 1.2 million hryvnias.

One of the secondary schools in Shostka held a two-day fair in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Participants of the charity event sold their own baked goods, patriotic products and flowers. During the air raids, the work of the fair continued in shelter. They managed to collect 11,000 hryvnias for the defenders’ needs.

Chernihiv oblast

Spokeswoman of the Chernihiv border detachment Halyna Shekhovtsova reported that the enemy shelled the Semenivka community in Chernihiv oblast with mortars. There were 6 explosions.

The “North” Operational Command reported that russians continued shelling the border of the Chernihiv oblast. The Snovsk community came under shelling once again. In the area of the village of Khrinivka. There were 27 hits, presumably from barrel artillery.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine of Chernihiv oblast reported that a tractor was blown up with explosives in the Ivanivka community, a 40-year-old driver was injured. The tragedy happened near the village of Skorynets, where the driver hit an anti-tank mine lying on the roadside. According to the information of the head of Chernihiv RMA Viacheslav Chaus, another mine was found near the place of the explosion.

The highway service in Chernihiv oblast reported that traffic over the bridge near Chernihiv, which was blown up in 2022 during an enemy invasion, was resumed. Currently, the construction of the bridge over the Zamglai River near the village of Kiselyvka has been completely restored.

The Chernihiv RMA reported that 9 medical institutions in Chernihiv oblast will be able to provide free rehabilitation. Assistance will be provided by institutions that have signed a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine under the packages “Rehabilitation assistance for adults and children in inpatient settings” and “Rehabilitation assistance for adults and children in outpatient settings”.

A family doctor from Chernihiv oblast received the President’s award “For the Defense of Ukraine”. During occupation of the village of Mykhailo-Kotsiubynske, Olena Melnyk remained at work and, risking her life, took patients to the hospital in Slavutych.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk,  Dnipropetrovsk oblast received the cargo from volunteers from the public organization “Lviv Defense Cluster”. Vests are certified. There is a pocket for storing necessary things and fastening them under the tourniquet.

According to head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA Serhii Lysak, rehabilitation centers for military and civilians are planned in 5 hospitals of Dnipropetrovsk oblast. More than 200 adults and 100 children will be able to receive healthcare simultaneously. 

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia RMA informed that the regional humanitarian headquarters received five truckloads of cargo worth almost 400,000 euros from Germany. The aid includes expensive and rare drugs, benefactors brought an ultrasound machine, a dialysis machine, intensive care, as well as children’s beds, as well as hygiene and laundry products.

The “World of Happy Childhood” campaign was held for internally displaced children by coaches and teachers of Vinnytsia city sports schools for children and youth. For 20 children, a master class on sports tourism, a visit to the cinema, and a cartoon screening were organized.

33,000 hryvnias for kamikaze drones were collected in Vinnytsia at a charity auction held in the XXI Gallery. The drones will be handed over to the “Kryla” air reconnaissance special unit, which operates in Bakhmut.

Kirovohrad oblast

The head of the Oleksandria community Serhii Kuzmenko said that they paid farewell to the soldier, company commander Vladyslav Shapoval. He died in January while performing a combat mission in Bakhmut, Donetsk oblast. Vladyslav was 24 years old. A day before his burial, his daughter was born. 

Poltava oblast

Poltava RMA reported that Poltava oblast is among top five regions for formation of assault brigades within the framework of the national volunteer recruitment campaign “Offensive Guard”. 

More than 17,000 m³ of wood were handed over by foresters of Poltava oblast for the needs of the Armed Forces. This amount of wood has been sent by the forestry branches of the Slobozhanshchyna forestry office for the needs of the military since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Cherkasy oblast

Employees of the utility company purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee car at their own expense and handed it over to the First Separate Marine Battalion of the 36th Brigade. The fully prepared for the needs of the military car is already in use at the front.

Children and adults made clay angels at the Folk Art Gallery in Cherkasy. Internally displaced persons and citizens were invited to participate in the free master class. Such art therapy is an effective way to distract from negative emotions.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The situation towards Zaporizhzhia has not changed significantly. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied borders. The russian army launched 122 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders, using tank weapons, rocket and barrel artillery along the entire line of contact.

The enemy shelled the towns and villages of Zaporizhzhia oblast 97 times. The occupiers shelled Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Olhivske, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Chervone, Charivne, Bilohiria, Shevchenko, Kamianske, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky. Russian troops actively bombarded the territory of Orikhiv region. As a result of the armed attack, about 10 houses were damaged.

Russian occupiers continue the forced passporting of the local population in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast. In Melitopol, the occupiers forbade making any payments to citizens who do not have the registration number of the tax payer’s registration card of the russian federation. Having a passport of a citizen of the russian federation is a must to obtain this card. In Tokmak, the russian occupying force threatens local citizens of Ukraine who refused to receive passports of citizens of the russian federation, with the deportation of their children to the eastern regions of russia. The parents themselves are threatened with deportation to Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Mykolaiv oblast

Yesterday, the enemy again launched mortar attacks on the water area of the Ochakiv community. It was reported by Mykolayiv RMA.

This morning, a 50-year-old tractor driver blew up on an enemy anti-personnel mine during sowing in Kyselivka, Mykolaiv region. The driver received landmine-explosive injuries. The man is currently in the hospital.

Mykolaiv is resuming work with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to renew the trolleybus fleet. “Mykolaivelectrotrans” utility company received another tranche in the amount of 525,000 euros.

The construction company KRAUSE handed over an ambulance equipped with all necessary equipment for work to the Kobleve community. Ukrainian doctors will be able to save people’s lives thanks to the care of Polish friends. The new machine will allow effectively responding to emergency situations and provide medical assistance in case of need.

An international team of experts is developing five pilot projects for Mykolaiv. The team is a part of the #UN4Mykolaiv project sponsored by the UN Economic Commission for Europe.

Odesa oblast

As of today, the number of russian missile carriers in the Black Sea has decreased to four, including 2 submarines. The possible volley is up to 24 Calibers. According to the “South” Operational Command, a total of 19 russian ships are on combat duty.

Volunteers from Odesa fundraised money and set up a mobile dental clinic to provide assistance to people in the de-occupied territories of Ukraine. Two dentists and a driver will work in the mobile dental services. One shift will last about seven days, then the team will change. A car for a mobile dental office was presented by friends from Lithuania. Its repair was being done in Odessa.

Two more cars were handed over to the front by the medics of the Izmail Central District Hospital. They will be a real help to soldiers during combat missions. Employees also handed over humanitarian aid, food, medicines, gas canisters, sleeping bags, stretchers, branded energy bars and real Ukrainian lard. Young residents of the Reni community also joined in helping, making trench candles, drawing touching postcards and preparing various goodies.

The artist and designer Vadym Luhovtsev painted a portrait of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhnyi against the background of the national flag. The artwork is located at the 16th station of the Great Fountain, Odesa city.

Kherson oblast

Russian troops shelled the village of Veletenske in Bilozerka community. The kindergarten building was damaged due to an enemy attack. Windows were broken in private houses, fences and concrete gates were damaged.

Yesterday, the russian invaders attacked peaceful settlements in Kherson oblast 76 times. 413 shells were fired from mortars, MLRS, artillery, tanks, UAVs, LNG and ATGMs. The russian army shelled the residential quarters of Kherson 13 times. Enemy shells hit a medical facility, private and apartment buildings.

The police opened 23 criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes committed by the russian army in Kherson oblast. Reports of looting by the russian military continue to come from de-occupied settlements. The police received a report that the russian military illegally seized a Nissan car from a local resident in the temporarily occupied village of Podo-Kalynivka.

A civilian was blown up by russian landmines while collecting firewood in Kherson oblast. As a result of the explosion, the victim was left without a part of his left leg, and he also suffered shrapnel wounds in his right lower leg.

Yesterday, explosives experts examined more than 240 hectares of territory and removed more than 400 explosive objects. This was reported by Kherson RMA.

More than 20 seriously injured occupiers were brought for treatment to the Oleshke Regional Hospital in temporarily occupied territory of Kherson oblast. This was reported by the General Staff.

The policemen brought humanitarian kits to the villages most affected by the military actions. This time, the help covered families with many children, who are in difficult life circumstances, and families where children are raised by elderly relatives. Police officers delivered humanitarian packages to each family. People received food, warm clothes, blankets, personal hygiene products, detergents, toys and stationery for schoolchildren. The sets were collected by international partners and handed over by the police of Chernivtsi, who have been helping the residents of Kherson oblast for a long time.

Representatives of the International Medical Corps and World Central Kitchen brought food kits, bottled water and basic necessities to the Khreschenivka community. In total, in February, World Central Kitchen delivered 23,000 food kits, 23,000 vegetable kits, and 4,000 solar-powered flashlights to communities in Kherson oblast.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The RMA held a meeting with the team of the Danish Refugee Council in Ukraine chaired by Sabiha Kapietanovich, Head of the population protection program. They discussed the provision of multi-purpose cash assistance, non-food aid and psychosocial help to IDPs.

The Lutsk City Council held a meeting with representatives of the international voluntary club organization “Rotary International“. Establishing cooperation was discussed.

Zakarpattia oblast

In Zakarpattia, free training for the national resistance will be held for all those who wish. The pilot project will start soon. Experienced instructors of the newly established the Center for Training the Population for National Resistance will work with groups of up to 30 people.

The RMA reported that 7 new vehicles were sent to the personnel of the regional security police for the performance of official duties.

Zakarpattia received 14 portable charging stations thanks to financial support of the British government within the framework of the UNDP project “Strengthening the resilience of communities in oblasts of Ukraine”.

In Uzhhorod, the memory of those who were killed during bombing of the Mariupol drama theater on March 16, 2022 was commemorated, when russians dropped a 500-kilogram aerial bomb on the drama theater, where over 1K peaceful Mariupol residents were hiding. In front of the entrance, people then wrote “CHILDREN” in capital letters, especially in russian, so that russians, who were shelling, would see and understand that there were civilians in this building. The organizers called the peaceful action “WHERE ARE YOU” (“CHILDREN” – children and “WHERE ARE YOU?” – question-symbol).

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The second charity auction aimed at helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine began in Ivano-Frankivsk with the support of the RMA. The event opened with a joint prayer and a moment of silence for Heroes who were killed in the war. 51 lots will be presented during the auction.

Lviv oblast

The RMA held a meeting with a delegation chaired by Nina Obuljen Koržinek, Croatian Minister of Culture and Media. They discussed opportunities for cooperation between Ukraine and Croatia within the framework of UNESCO.

The RMA reported that medics of the Lviv Regional Center of Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine transported 6 adult patients with serious injuries and an infant with a rare disease for treatment abroad.

The team of the Lviv Defense Cluster set out on a humanitarian mission to the East of Ukraine. The cluster handed over 200 specialized anti-fragile body armor to civilian medics of Luhansk oblast who work in the war zone and frontline areas.

The Zolochiv Central District Hospital received two ventilators worth almost UAH 2.5 million from Italian benefactors.

The “Assistance Centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, which work on the basis of educational institutions of the Belzk community, joined a large-scale humanitarian trip to the east of Ukraine. They collected and sent food, home baked goods, trench candles, energy mixes, warm things, etc. to the military.

The RMA reported that the Polish Vyshnya Mala commune together with the Leroy Merlin Foundation sent the “IRSBUS IVECO” bus for educational needs of the Lyceum # 3 in Mostysk.

The RMA reported that the International Organization for Migration in Ukraine donated mattresses, blankets, sets of bed linen, pillows to the Strii Hospital.

Rivne oblast

Oleksandr Tretiak, Mayor of Rivne, met with Marianna Borge, Mayor of Oslo. They discussed Oslo’s participation in supporting Rivne in the post-war period.

The RMA held a meeting of the coordinating council on humanitarian issues with representatives of international organizations working with IDPs. They discussed the needs of IDPs living in Rivne oblast. They also presented the humanitarian response plan for 2023.

Vitalii Koval, head of the RMA, together with relevant deputies met with Ellen Kramer, Head of the Lviv office of the World Food Program. They discussed payments to employees who work in special institutions where IDPs are housed and assistance in socialization and integration of IDPs into the community through employment.

Ternopil oblast

The international forum “Integration of IDPs in Ternopil oblast: effective tools and the role of the IDP Council” was held in Ternopil. 58 enterprises from Kherson, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia oblasts were relocated to Ternopil oblast. Almost 1K children have recovered in children’s camps in Ternopil oblast, Zakarpattia oblast and abroad. Medics of the oblast accepted over 20 evacuation trains with patients from Donetsk, Kherson and Luhansk oblasts.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

A working meeting with representatives of regional health care institutions was held in the RMA. They discussed the issue of organizing a capable network of health care institutions in wartime conditions.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Vadym Svyrydenko, Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for rehabilitation of combatants. They discussed the creation of a rehabilitation center in the Chernivtsi regional hospital for war veterans.

The Chernivtsi RMA concluded a memorandum of cooperation with the CF “Right to Defense”. Within the framework of the memorandum, the foundation plans to strengthen its work in the oblast in social projects, support for IDPs, etc.

Workers of the Department of Social Protection of the Population of Chernivtsi oblast took part in the meeting of the UN Cluster on Protection Issues. Social projects were presented here, and possible ways of cooperation with international organizations were discussed.

The RMA met with business representatives of Ukraine and Romania. They discussed  possibilities of implementing the business potential of Chernivtsi oblast and cooperation in promoting the products of local producers to the Romanian market.

The Chernivtsi geriatric boarding house received diapers, bathing chairs, clothes, etc., from the CF “Angelia”.

In Bukovyna, parts of Invincibility Centers were transferred to the “ready for opening” mode. The decision was made at a meeting of the commission on technogenic and ecological safety and emergency situations in light of the improvement of the electricity supply situation and taking into account the improvement of weather conditions and the further forecast of an increase in the average daily air temperature.

The International Court in the Hague saw a warrant for putin’s arrest. “Today, 17 March 2023, the Chamber of Proceedings of the II International Criminal Court saw warrants for the arrest of two cases in the context of the situation in Ukraine: putin and Mariya Lvova-Belova” – written on the website of the court.

Next week, Ukraine will receive EUR 1.5 billion from the EU’s macro-financial aid package.

Lithuania announced a new military aid package for Ukraine. Arvydas Anushauskas, Defense Minister announced that Lithuania will provide Ukraine with 155-mm ammunition, vehicles and military rations.

Oleksii Reznikov, Defense Minister, announced new aid for Ukraine from Canada. The new package includes 155mm ammunition, anti-aircraft missiles, 105mm tank training rounds and additional Leopard 2 tanks.

Paul Jonson, Minister of Defense of Sweden, announced that the Swedish government decided to send 8 Archer howitzers to Ukraine.

Belgium will send 240 military trucks to the Ukrainian army. The first batch of Volvo Cargo, Volvo Shelter, Volvo Fassi and Volvo Manumat trucks will go to Ukraine next week. It is reported that the vehicles will be used to deliver troops and equipment.

Eduard Geger, Prime Minister of Slovakia, announced that the country will transfer the “Kub” air defense system to Ukraine. It has a damage range of 22 km. The government also decided to send 13 MiG-29s to Ukraine free of charge.

Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Kristianis Karinsh, Prime Minister of Latvia. They discussed provision of weapons necessary for the Ukrainian offensive.

Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with Rishi Sunak, Prime Minister of Great Britain. Strengthening the defense and economic support of Ukraine were discussed.

Dmytro Kuleba, Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced that Austria joined the coalition of countries working on the creation of a special tribunal in the case of the crime of aggression against Ukraine. The team already includes 33 states.

John Kirby reported that the US may announce a new military aid package for Ukraine in the coming days.

“We continue to work closely with our allies and partners, including Poland, in providing assistance to Ukraine,” Karin Jean-Pierre, White House spokeswoman said.

Poland plans to deploy HIMARS on the border with russia. The anti-aircraft missile system will be installed in a division located not far from the border with Kaliningrad region of the aggressor country.

Denmark does not intend to allow representatives of russia to investigate the underwater explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipelines. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the investigation into explosions was initiated separately by Germany, Denmark and Sweden.

Latvia banned the entry of 35 russians for supporting the war in Ukraine. Riga stated that supporting the war in Ukraine means responsibility for the crimes committed, “therefore, the entry of such people into Latvia is inadmissible.”

The German Fencing Association canceled the women’s championship, which was supposed to take place in Tauberbischofsheim, due to the permission of the International Fencing Federation for athletes from russia and belarus to participate in the competition.

A cross-border meeting of local self-government bodies and non-governmental organizations from Poland and Ukraine, which help Ukrainian citizens who were forced to leave due to hostilities, took place in Poland. During the meeting, parties discussed the urgent needs of Ukrainians, the issue of rehabilitation of victims during the war, the possibility of further cooperation for reconstruction of Ukraine and development of communities.
