It has been the 314th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:

Russian large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine is ongoing. They persist with the plan to reach the borders of Donetsk oblast. Russian invaders focus their efforts on conducting offensive operations and replenishing the losses.

To put pressure on the civilian population, the enemy launches air and missile strikes, as well as fires at the critical infrastructure and settlements of Ukraine from artillery by violating the international humanitarian law, customs and traditions of the war.

The enemy launched 8 air strikes and 18 MLRS hits.

The territory of Ukraine is constantly under the threat of air and missile strikes on the critical infrastructure facilities.

The enemy is making attempts to gain full control over Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts by focusing the efforts on conducting offensive operations towards Bakhmut. Russian occupiers are trying to improve their tactical position towards Lyman and Avdiivka, reinforcing their forces towards Novopavlivka with units relocated from Kherson.

The situation has not significantly changed towards Volyn, Polissia and Sloboda. Russian occupiers are stationed in the border areas of republic of belarus and russian federation. There are no signs of forming the assault units.

The enemy fired from all types of artillery at the settlements of Strilecha, Krasne, Zelene, Ternova, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Karaichne, Okhrimovka, Ambarne, Kharkiv oblast.

The enemy is on the defensive in other directions by focusing on restraining the actions of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, firing at our troops and civilian targets along the entire front line.

Towards Kupiansk and Lyman, the enemy shelled with mortars, barrel and rocket artillery at the settlements of Novomlynsk, Tavilzhanka, Dvorichna, Kupiansk, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Pershotravneve, Kharkiv oblast and Makiivka, Ploschanka, Dibrova, Luhansk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka, the enemy fires from tanks and other types of artillery at over 20 settlements such as Spirne, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Klischiivka, Vodiane and Mariinka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Novopavlivka, the enemy fired from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery at Vremivka, Velyka Novosilka, Neskuchne, Vuhledar, Mykilske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the enemy fired at our troops’ positions from tanks and all types of artillery in the area of over 25 settlements. They are constantly firing at the civilian infrastructure of cities and villages along the right Dnipro bank. The artillery strikes damaged the civilian infrastructure of Kherson, Molodizhne, Antonivka and Beryslav, Kherson oblast.

Aviation of Ukraine launched 4 strikes on the buildup of manpower, equipment and machinery of the enemy.

Rocket troops and artillery of Ukraine hit 2 command points and 4 areas of the russian  manpower and equipment buildup.

Losses, sustained by Ukraine as a result of the war, exceeded USD 700 billion. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shenyhal noted that this number has increased because of russian attacks on the infrastructure.

According to Serhii Haidai, the occupiers’ logistics has become more complicated. He noted that the Kreminna-Svatove highway is under the firing control of Ukrainian defenders.

According to the Minister of Defense, Oleksii Reznikov, russia had deliberately blown up the electric station in Kherson oblast. When russians retreated, they blew up the electric station in Beryslav. According to article 51(2) of the Geneva convention, this is a terrorist act, but it does not stop the russian occupiers.

As known, from January 1, 2023, russians banned the hryvnia circulation in the temporarily occupied territories. However, the locals ignore these demands of the invaders.
