It has been the 338th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6pm:   

There is an increase in enemy aircraft activity in all directions.

The russian occupiers carried out 24 air and 7 missile strikes, as well as 30 MLRS attacks. As a result of the russian federation’s strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities of Kindrashivka (Kharkiv oblast), Chasiv Yar (Donetsk region), the village of Kamyshany and the city of Kherson, there are killed and wounded among the civilian population. The buildings of the regional civil infectious diseases hospital in Kherson were damaged. 

Despite significant losses, the enemy continues offensive operations towards Bakhmut, Lyman, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka to improve the tactical position. Towards Kupiansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the invaders are on the defensive.

Towards Volyn, Polissia, Siversk and Sloboda, the situation is unchanged, no offensive enemy groups have been identified. Shelling from tanks, mortars and artillery was carried out in the areas Senkivka and Tymonovychi (Chernihiv oblast); Volfine and Timofiivka (Sumy oblast); as well as more than 15 settlements in Kharkiv oblast, in particular, Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Vesele, Vovchansk, Varvarivka, Budarki, Bilyi Koldiaz, Mylove, Novomlynsk and Dvorichna. 

Towards Kupiansk, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Kucherivka, Ivanivka, Kotliarivka and Berestove in Kharkiv oblast and Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka and Miasozharivka in Luhansk oblast were shelled from mortars and artillery.

Towards Liman, Makiivka, Nevske and Dibrova of Luhansk oblast came under fire.

Towards Bakhmut, more than 20 settlements suffered fire damage, namely A Vesele, Bilohorivka, Blahodatne, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Klyshchiivka, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Zalizne and Niu York of Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka came under enemy fire.

Towards Novopavlivka, the enemy again shelled Bohoiavlenka, Vuhledar and Zolota Nyva in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, 20 settlement were affected, including Zalizne, Illinka, Vremivka and Zelene Pole in Donetsk oblast, as well as Olhivske, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, Kamianske and Plavni of Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Towards Kherson, shelling from multiple launch rocket systems, barreled artillery and mortars was carried out near Zolota Balka, Havrylivka, Dudchany, Chervonyi Maiak, Monastyrske, Tomaryne, Burhunka, Tiahynka, Stanislav and Kherson.

The enemy continues to use civilian health care facilities in the temporarily occupied territory to treat its wounded soldiers. Thus, in the city of Khrustalnyi, Luhansk oblast, the occupiers deployed a ‘field hospital’ in the premises of the city hospital, where russian servicemen and mercenaries of the Wagner PMC are treated. At the same time, in Kairy, Kakhovka region, Kherson oblast, at the local psychoneurological boarding school, russian occupiers are also being treated.

In the temporarily occupied resort village of Zaliznyi Port, Skadovsk region, Kherson oblast, the russian so-called ‘administration’ carries out a census and confiscation from Ukrainian citizens of businesses not re-registered under russian law (boarding houses, cafes, restaurants).

Aviation of the Defense Forces inflicted 7 strikes on buildups of the occupiers, as well as a strike on the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems. Units of the anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down a russian Su-25 and a Mi-8 helicopter.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports that the world’s first companies of drones are being formed. A Coordination Headquarters with key ministries and services has now been established to fully implement the project. This is done in order to be able to implement a number of key reforms, scaling up the production of UAVs for the Ukrainian army.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal says that a resolution was approved regarding the non-departure of officials abroad without good reason. Now officials have the opportunity to go abroad only for treatment, business trips and care for minor children.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at least 20 settlements of Kharkiv oblast were shelled by the russian federation during the day. The villages of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk regions came under attack.

The press service of the regional administration said that In Kharkiv oblast, 28 children became complete orphans as a result of the war. Also, more than 80K forcibly displaced children live in the oblast.

According to Commander of the 127th brigade Roman Hryshchenko, the border communities of the oblast are under fire, but the Ukrainian military is controlling the situation. Requests for evacuation from the Vovchansk community and the Kupiansk region have increased over the past two weeks.

Igor Ovcharuk, Head of the unit of the Interregional Center for Humanitarian Demining of the State Emergency Service says that in Kharkiv oblast, sappers seized more than 50 K ammunition with which the russian army mined the region. Now sappers have more than 2 K applications from local residents for demining.

Head of the Kharkiv RMA Oleh Syniehubov reports that 717 chromebooks received from UNESCO have been transferred to educational institutions. 

Head of the administration of the Kupiansk region Andrii Kanashevych says that at night, russia launched a missile strike on the Kindrashivka Lyceum in the Kupiansk region, windows and walls were damaged in the building of the institution. 

During the liberation of Kupiansk in Kharkiv oblast, the military found a three-meter tiger python near a russian burning tank. The soldier brought the snake to a safe place, and then brought it to the regional center. Python was given a name in honor of the liberated city. Now the pet is fattening in Kharkiv.

Yesterday, the enemy massively shelled Kupiansk, Kharkiv and Chuhuiv regions. Kupiansk, Vovchansk, Strelecha, Dvorichna and other settlements were under fire.

This morning the enemy shelled Kupiansk. Shells hit an open area near a residential building. Garages were on fire. Preliminary – without casualties.

Yesterday, in Dvorichna, Kupyansk region, 2 civilians were killed – a man and a woman. In the village of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv region, a 70-year-old woman suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized, and a 60-year-old woman was wounded in Vovchansk.

The day before, between the villages of Krasne and Velyka Komyshuvakha, Izyum region, two men, aged 40 and 35, blew up on an unknown explosive device in a field. Doctors assess the condition of one of the wounded as serious, the other – of moderate severity.

Donetsk oblast

Spokesman of the Eastern group of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhii Cherevatyi reports that the Russians are trying to deplete the Defense Forces and break deep into Ukrainian positions towards Vuhledar and Bakhmut. During the day there were 58 combat clashes.

The National Guard of Ukraine informs that the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down a russian helicopter on the outskirts of Bakhmut. 

During the day, russian occupation forces shelled 17 settlements in Donetsk oblast 33 times. In Avdiivka, they used Grad rockets and aviation. The city survived nine attacks. They fired phosphorus shells at Zvanivka.

In the evening, Chasiv Yar again came under fire from russian multiple launch rocket systems. The russians struck a residential area. The local school, apartment buildings and private houses are on fire. No information has been received about the victims so far.

Two people were killed and at least five were wounded during the morning russian shelling of the town of Chasiv Yar.

The shelling began around 9 am and lasted for over an hour and a half. Dozens of houses, cars,  premises and buildings of institutions and public services were damaged.

In addition, the russians shelled Avdiivka, Toretsk, Aleksandropil and Bohoiavlenka.

In Avdiivka, the russians shelled the central part of the city with artillery at about 9 a.m., and a few hours later they used  Grad MRLSs with cluster elements. There was no information on casualties.

As the result of the shelling of Nelypivka of the Toretsk community, houses and farm buildings were damaged. No casualties were reported.

The russians shelled Oleksandropil of the Ocheretyn community and Bohoiavlenka near Vuhledar with rocket launchers. Information about the consequences of these attacks is being clarified.

Towards Volnovakha, the active shelling of Vuhledar continues: 7 houses and 2 schools were damaged in the city. 2 people were killed and 1 injured in Bohoyavlenka. The enemy also shelled Novoukrainka.

Towards Donetsk, there were 2 massive waves of shelling in Avdiivka at night. The extent of the damage is being clarified.

Towards Horlivka, 1 person was injured and 1 house damaged in Bakhmut. The day before, the russians damaged 3 houses and a kindergarten in Toretsk, and shelled the neighborhood of the community under fire. 3 more houses were damaged in Katerynivka of Illinivka community. There were no casualties.  The night was also restless in the villages of the Soledar community.

Towards Lysychansk, Torske, Zarichne and Yampil of  the Lyman community were shelled. 3 houses were damaged in Pereizne in the Zvanivka community, the outskirts of Zvanivka were shelled with phosphorus shells. It was also restless in Siversk which was being shelled during the day. A private house was destroyed by a direct hit there.

Petro Andriushchenko, Adviser to the Mariupol Mayor, said that the residents of the occupied Mariupol who do not have a russian passport cannot receive pensions and other payments since the beginning of the year. This is the way the occupation authorities force people to obtain russian citizenship.  

Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of the Donetsk RMA, reported that russians killed 6 residents of Donetsk Oblast: 2 in Ocheretynе, 2 in Bohoiavlenka, 1 in Avdiivka, and 1 in Paraskoviivka. 9 more people were injured.

Luhansk oblast

During the past day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled some attacks of the occupiers near Ploshchanka, Nevske, and Chervonopopivka. Towards Kupiansk , the enemy shelled Stelmakhivka. Towards Lyman, Makiivka, Nevske, Chervonopivka, Kreminna, Dibrova and Kuzmyne were shelled.

Head of the Luhansk RMA, Serhii Haidai reported that russians plan to set seven prisons in Luhansk oblast to intimidate the locals and imprison those who refuse to fight .

The Luhansk RMA reports that russian mobile operators do not plan to build their own network in the occupied Luhansk oblast. Only people with russian passports are allowed at the metal plant in Alchevsk. Equipment of the cardboard container plant in Rubizhne is being dismantled and taken to Kuban.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The spokesman of the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Colonel Yurii Ihnat, reported that during a massive missile attack on January 26, russia used Kinzhal hypersonic missiles to target facilities located in Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia. According to him, Ukraine currently has no military equipment capable of destroying this type of hypersonic missiles. To destroy them, our defense forces need anti-aircraft missile systems that will automatically shoot down ballistic missiles.

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that the damage and consequences of the shelling inflicted by russian troops on January 26 are being assessed and dealt with. In one of the settlements that suffered the most during the russian air strikes, the blast wave damaged more than 30 private houses – two houses are heavily damaged, other buildings have damaged roofs, broken windows and doors.

The Kyiv Police reported that law enforcement officers keep finding parts of missiles on the territory of the oblast, recording and documenting the consequences, and the experts are identifying the type of enemy projectiles.

Wreckage of an X-55 missile with a simulated nuclear warhead was discovered near Kyiv. According to Defense Express, this missile was destroyed on its approach to Kyiv from the south-east, and its wreckage was found near Boryspil. That was at least the fourth time the enemy used this type of cruise missile to distract air defense forces.

According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, on February 2, European Commissioners and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen will arrive in Kyiv for intergovernmental consultations. According to him, there will be practical negotiations on providing assistance to Ukraine, implementing reforms and accelerating the process of becoming an EU member.

Holocaust victims were commemorated in the capital on the territory of the Babyn Yar Historical and Memorial Reserve. The commemorative ceremony organized by the Federation of European Communities of Ukraine was held there. The event was attended by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and representatives of the diplomatic corps of European countries, the United States, and Canada.

A march took place in Kyiv in memory of the belarusian heroes who died in the war against russia while fighting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The route was the same that was used to send the belarusian hero Mikhail Zhiznevsky, who was killed on January 22, 2014, during the Revolution of Dignity, to his last journey. Not only Ukrainians, but also many belarusians who moved to Ukraine after the political events in belarus in 2021 came to honor the memory of the heroes.

The SES reported that rescuers have awarded four Brovary high school students – Andrii Datsenko, Anton Pryschepa, Viktor Komisarov and Hlib Kasian  who helped evacuating children from a kindergarten in the first minutes after the helicopter crash on January 18 in Brovary. The students calmed the children, provided them with the necessary assistance, and searched for their parents.

The presentation of Petro Shcherbyna’s book “The Battle of Irpin” took place at the Museum of Kyiv History. During the presentation, the author noted that the book is a chronicle of the events that took place in late February last year in Irpin. During the presentation, it was noted that 39 members of the territorial defense who had not left their hometown and stood up for its defense were killed in the battle of Irpin.

Zhytomyr oblast

Vitalii Bunechko, Head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, informed that during the full-scale war, Zhytomyr oblast allocated over UAH 840 million to assist the Ukrainian military. These funds, raised by the joint efforts of the state, regional authorities, communities, volunteers, and philanthropists, were used to purchase hundreds of pickup trucks, cars, drones, thousands of bulletproof vests, military uniforms, medical kits, and other equipment required on the battlefield.

The National Police of Zhytomyr oblast reported that police EOD specialists are currently working in Kherson oblast. As part of a consolidated unit, law enforcement officers are clearing de-occupied territories from deadly traps left by the occupiers.

In Zhytomyr oblast, 419 teachers from 26 territorial communities are working with children in catch-up classes to help them catch up on missed learning material. The project is being implemented as part of a cross-sectoral project by In Touch Ukraine Foundation with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The main goal is to create maximum opportunities for training and development of the children who often have limited access to the educational process during the war.

Another shipment – two trucks with timber from Zhytomyr oblast foresters – was sent to the Mylivska community in Kherson oblast. According to the regional military administration, a total of 60 cubic meters of firewood was sent. The Humanitarian Center of the Zhytomyr RMA sent humanitarian aid, namely hygiene products, clothes, and food to residents of Kupiansk, Kharkiv oblast.

Sumy oblast

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that russian troops shelled the border area of Sumy oblast more than 38 times. There were no losses among personnel or equipment, as well as no reports of casualties among the local population or damage to infrastructure.

Dmytro Serhienko, Chief Engineer of the Sumygaz JSC, said that their workers in Sumy inspected 700 km of gas networks in the combat zone using modern leak detectors.

A requiem gathering was held in Sumy on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. According to the Sumy Regional Council, representatives of local authorities and the city’s Jewish community took part in the commemoration.

Residents of Sumy oblast living in the areas bordering russia (Riabivka and Dernove villages of the Trostyanets territorial community) received humanitarian packages from the International Red Cross with long-term storage food and toiletries.

The Republic of Slovakia handed over humanitarian aid to the Sumy City Community Center. According to the Sumy City Council’s information portal, they donated generators and heating appliances, as well as offered further cooperation.

The International Committee of the Red Cross in Ukraine provided 105 greenhouses for the rural population and family-type orphanages in the oblast affected by the hostilities. Of these, 8 greenhouses will be transferred to the family-type orphanages of Sumy, Krolevets, Lypova Dolyna, Nedryhailiv, and Richky communities, and the rest will be given to residents of the affected areas from Boromlia and Krasnopillia communities,” the Sumy Regional State Administration noted.

Chernihiv oblast

The occupation forces have once again shelled the border of Chernihiv oblast using various types of weapons. According to the ‘North’ Operational Command, the villages of Semenivka and Novhorod-Siverskyi communities came under enemy fire. There were no losses among military personnel or equipment. Also, there were no reports of casualties among the local population or damage to infrastructure.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is collecting applications from communities to participate in the project Human Dimension: Good governance through data and community engagement. According to the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, the project is funded by the Canadian government agencies.

The representatives of the International Foundation Partnership for a Strong Ukraine included 26 social and critical infrastructure facilities of the oblast in the Early Recovery project. The help was provided in 5 territorial communities – Chernihiv, Kyiv, Kyselivka, Ivanivka, and Nova Basan – to restore premises and arrange shelters in 12 schools and kindergartens, 5 administrative buildings, 4 cultural centers, 2 rural health posts and a geriatric center. Generators for modular camps and equipment for the water supply system were given to Novoselivka.

Ukravtodor has begun installation of the second modular bridge in Chernihiv oblast, received from partners from France, who donated 3 bridges as humanitarian aid. The first structure has been installed. The CTS reported that according to the information from the State Road Agency, the second one is now being installed.

The Sokyriany City Council reported that students, parents and teachers of the Sokyriany Lyceum have been working for a long time on weaving camouflage nets, making trench candles, cooking, baking treats and collecting necessary items for our soldiers.

Volunteers of the Nadiya Youth Initiative Charitable Foundation organized a donation campaign in the Masany neighborhood. Head of the foundation Serhii Tepliakov reported that all collected food, clothing, power banks, gloves, socks, and cigarettes for Ukrainian soldiers will be delivered to the front line, in particular towards Bakhmut.

The Head of the housing reconstruction department of the Ukrainian National Committee of the Red Cross, reported that two-story modular houses are being built in Chernihiv for people who lost their homes due to the russian invasion. According to him, the cost of the houses that the Red Cross was dealing with is about UAH 156 million. It is planned to build 7 houses by the autumn and provide them with the necessary furniture. The project is being implemented together with the City Council.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Head of the Regional Council Mykola Lukashuk informs that the occupiers attacked the Myrove community several times in a row from the MLRS, firing fifty shells at it. A store, a bakery, and a beauty salon were damaged. Also, a dozen residential buildings and outbuildings, gas pipelines, power lines were affected.

Due to the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine and the financial support of the European Union, a hub of public initiatives of the Sievierodonetsk community was opened in Dnipro. There is a safe space equipped for families of internally displaced persons in the hub. A psychologist works with children there.

Vinnytsia oblast

The Vinnytsia City Council reports that the city received assistance from the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine. Furniture was brought to vocational school No. 1, on the basis of which there is a residence center for internally displaced persons. These are beds, bedside tables, chests of drawers, cabinets, tables, stools, mirrors, ironing boards, clothes dryers, etc. 

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, horses, goats, sheep, donkeys, cats and dogs help rehabilitate the military. This is a joint project of the regional hospital and the local rehabilitation center. According to the psychologist of the hospital Hanna Kolieva,  during the sessions, the fighters rest and train their muscles and nervous system. 

Poltava oblast

Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration Dmytro Lunin says that 660 beds with mattresses for internally displaced persons have been received this week from the International Committee of the Red Cross. The first part of this assistance came earlier, the other has also already arrived in the region.

Cherkasy oblast

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The situation towards Zaporizhzhia did not undergo significant changes. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied positions. On January 26, the enemy shelled the positions of Ukrainian defenders 148 times, using tank weapons, rocket and barrel artillery along the entire line of contact. The occupiers shelled the settlements of Znachkove, Derezivka, Mala Tokmachka, Olhivske, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Chervone, Shevchenko, Plavni, Mali Shcherbaky, Kamianske, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Charivne, Malynivka, Shcherbaky, Temyrivka, Biloghiria, Poltavka, and Stepove.

The police received 14 reports about the destruction of houses (apartments) and infrastructure objects as a result of shelling by russian military personnel.

The General Staff reports that since February 2, the enemy is creating a commission at the nuclear power plant in Enerhodar to check two power lines of 750 KW in order to restore ZNPP operation and supply power from the Zaporizhzhya NPP to russia.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reports that powerful explosions occurred outside the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. The explosions are heard at the ZNPP for the second day in a row. The Director General of the IAEA insists on agreeing on a nuclear safety zone around the nuclear plant as soon as possible.

Mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, reports that the russians brought 800 additional policemen from Rostov and Krasnodar oblasts to the temporarily occupied Melitopol. In his opinion, additional police forces can be used to increase terror in the temporarily occupied territories.

Mykolaiv oblast

On January 26, during another massive missile attack, 13 cruise missiles were destroyed over Mykolayiv oblast.

On the morning of January 26, the enemy struck the coastal strip of the Ochakiv community. There are no casualties. Also yesterday, as a result of enemy shelling, a residential building was destroyed in the Kutsurub community. There are no casualties.

Starting from February 24 of last year, specialists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv oblast have been involved 5,275 times in the identification and destruction of ammunition and their fragments found on the territory of Mykolaiv oblast. In total, 8,794 units of explosive objects were seized. In just one day, on January 26, emergency personnel seized 58 units of ammunition.

Odesa oblast

As of January 27, there are 12 enemy ships on combat duty in the Black Sea, including 2 Kalibr cruise missile carriers with about 12 missiles on board. The enemy continues to control sea communications in the Sea of Azov, keeping 2 ships on combat duty. There are 10 enemy ships in the Mediterranean Sea, 5 of them carrying Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of 72 missiles.

As a result of the missile attack on January 26, the energy infrastructure of Odesa oblast suffered significant damage. Restoration work will continue until at least the end of January. Odesa will not be able to return to stabilization schedules until their completion. Currently, energy companies are trying to provide light to the residents of Odesa and nearby settlements for at least a few hours a day. The situation with electricity supply is less complex in the Izmail, Bolhrad, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Rozdilna, Berezivka and Podilsk regions. It is possible to provide power for about four hours a day there.

During January, the number of ships leaving the ports of Odesa remained at the level of two or three per day. This is one of the smallest numbers for all the months of existence of the ‘grain initiative’. The reason is an artificial blocking of the grain corridor by russian inspectors. In the first month of the new year, 2.4 million tonnes of grain were exported through the Grain Corridor, while in September and October more than 4 million tons were exported.

The Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, Catherine Colonna, visited Odesa oblast on an official visit. The minister reported that France will provide a second DNA laboratory designed to detect and identify war victims in the de-occupied territories, which Ukraine will receive in April. Katrin Colonna also announced the provision of EUR 3 million to launch the IAEA expert mission to Ukrainian nuclear power plants.

Kherson oblast

Today, the russian army once again shelled the residential quarters of Kherson and its oblast. A car with a man and a woman inside was mutilated by shrapnel from a russian projectile in the Suvorov region. The woman was killed on the spot, the man was taken to hospital with injuries. As a result of shelling in Komyshany, a 25-year-old girl was killed, and three people injured. Thus, on January 27, two people were killed and at least five others injured in Kherson oblast as a result of russian shelling.

On January 26, russian invaders shelled the territory of Kherson oblast 38 times. The russian army shelled Kherson 3 times – residential buildings were damaged. Yesterday, 2 people were killed by russian shelling, 7 residents of Kherson oblast were injured of varying degrees of severity.

In the temporarily occupied resort village of Zaliznyi Port, Skadovsk region, russian occupiers are carrying out a census and confiscation of businesses (boarding houses, cafes, restaurants) from Ukrainian citizens that have not been re-registered under russian law.

Volyn oblast

The Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Volyn oblast reported that rescuers from units of the 1st State Fire and Rescue Squad mastered the algorithm for using the latest special equipment to effectively eliminate fires and traffic accidents.

The city council reported that in Rozhyshchi, a charity concert called Peace in Child’s Palms enabled collecting over UAH 12K for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zakarpattia oblast

This week, in the humanitarian aid center Owl’s Nest, IDPs registered in Uzhhorod received charitable aid, consisting of 100 food kits, 80 bags with necessary things for children under 2 years old, 50 hygiene kits, 50 sets of bed linen, towels, pillows and blankets.

The city council reported that from February, a psychological support group for families of military personnel who lost their loved ones as a result of hostilities will work in Uzhhorod.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The health care department of the RMA reported that thanks to the funds of the regional budget and the efforts of German benefactors, the dispensary in the Mateivets community received a Phillips IE 33 ultrasound machine and a Mindray BC-20s automatic hematology analyzer.

Lviv oblast

In Lviv, benefactors purchased and imported 1 263 generators in a month, thus setting a Ukrainian record. Generators were purchased and delivered by Razom for Ukraine and Nova Ukraine foundations, with the support of the Lviv RMA and the International Headquarters for Aid to Ukrainians. Funds for the purchase were donated by US residents and companies.

The Norwegian Refugee Council provided humanitarian aid, namely, folding beds, mattresses, blankets, sheets, pillows and towels, to 30 families of IDPs living in the Yavoriv region. Volunteers received legal advice from the charitable organization.

Lvivvodokanal sent humanitarian aid, namely, cars, a pump, modules for water purification, 40 laptops and 10 IP phones, to colleagues from Khersonvodokanal. It arrived in a humanitarian convoy from Germany within the framework of the Water4Ukraine initiative.

As part of the Community Police Officer project, a police station became operational in Dashava village of the Strii community. The station is equipped with vehicles, weapons, means of communication and everything necessary for carrying out the service.

Rivne oblast

Head of the Rivne RMA, Vitalii Koval, reported that last year, residents of the oblast received almost UAH 27 million in compensation for sheltering displaced persons within the Shelter project.

Ternopil oblast

Family-type children’s homes in the villages of Brykiv and Zalistsi received generators provided by the Church of Christians of the Evangelical Faith in Vyshnivets.

On International Remembrance Day, the Ternopil Regional Universal Library opened a book exhibition Tragedy. History. Memory. These are editions and collections of Ukrainian and foreign authors who described the tragic events of those times.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The communities of the oblast received 35 Starlink satellite communication stations for Invincibility Centers. The equipment was purchased with the assistance of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the +380 CF.

In Khmelnytskyi, there will be a charity screening of the film Kruty 1918 as part of the national tour CINEMA FOR VICTORY. This is a Ukrainian historical action film directed by Oleksii Shapariev, which was released on February 7, 2019.

Chernivtsi oblast

The Sokyriany community purchased generators for administrative premises and two generators for the military fighting in Kharkiv oblast.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu announced that the first AMX10-RC light tanks will be delivered to Ukraine in February.

In July 2022, Polish journalist, literary critic and sociologist Slawomir Sierakovsky collected over 22.5 million zlotys to purchase a Bayraktar. Recently, Slavomir reported that the drone is already in Ukraine.

Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand announced that the country will send 4 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.

Prime Minister Mateusz Moravetskyi announced that Poland plans to transfer to Ukraine, in addition to the Leopard 2 company, 60 of its PT-91 Twardy main battle tanks.

The Italian government decided to transfer SAMP-T, Aspide air defense systems to Ukraine and Israeli-style artillery and drones. This will be done within two weeks.

The French government will provide €3 million for nuclear security for Ukraine.

Sweden will allocate $2 million to Ukraine to strengthen nuclear security. Increased safety at nuclear power plants and around them will have a positive effect on the electricity supply in Ukraine.

Minister of Defense Ludivin Dedonder stated that Belgium will allocate a new package of military aid to Ukraine. It will include air defense systems and anti-tank weapons, as well as ammunition.

Minister of Defense of Slovakia Nagy reported that Ukraine plans to order 11 more self-propelled Zuzana 2 wheeled howitzers from the country.

The first Ukrainian military personnel arrived in Germany for training on the Marder BMP. Their training should begin soon.

The Ministry of Energy reported that the Netherlands sent 300 tons of equipment, namely, transformers, electric and gas switches, grounding switches, disconnectors, surge arresters, electrical cables and grounding, overhead line fittings, to restore energy supply to Ukraine.

Turkey signed a memorandum on the transfer of floating power plants to Ukraine – Anadolu Agency. Plants with a capacity of 500 MW will be able to cover the needs of one million Ukrainian households. It is planned to place them in the ports of Moldova and Romania.

Minister of Defense Hanno Pevkur announced that Estonia asks Germany to allow the transfer of cluster munitions to Ukraine.

The Japanese government introduced a new package of sanctions against the russian federation, namely, against 49 russian companies, three organizations and 22 private individuals, who are considered to be directly involved in the annexation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and destabilization of the situation in Ukraine.

The EU opened an energy hub in Poland for emergency aid to Ukraine. This hub will be used to deliver power generators to Ukraine. €114 million have already been allocated for the purchase of generators for the hub, and 1K new generators are planned to be delivered to Ukraine at the first stage.
