It has been the 328th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

Having no major achievements on the battlefield, the russian army targets peaceful settlements. They continue to destroy infrastructure and civilian residences, by violating the rules of International Humanitarian Law, the laws and principles of war.

Russian military launched 4 missile attacks, 2 of them against a civilian target in Kramatorsk, Donetsk oblast. The russian army also launched 13 air strikes or 23 MLRS attacks.

The territory of Ukraine is still under threat of air and missile russian strikes on civilian targets.

The russian army is trying to capture Donetsk oblast within its administrative borders. Russian soldiers  focus their main efforts on launching offensive operations towards Bakhmut. Russian forces’ launched offensive unsuccessful operations towards Abdiivka.

The russian army is trying to improve its tactical situation towards Kupiansk and Lyman, while being on the defensive towards Novopavlivka, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson.

Towards Volyn, Polissia, Siversk, and Sloboda, there were no significant changes, no offensive russian groups were detected. The republic of belarus continues to support the russian armed aggression. After being trained in the territory of the republic of belarus, russian units rotate. 

The vicinities of settlements of Mykolaivka, Chernihiv oblast, Atynske, Sumy oblast, Veterinarne, Lukyantsi, Starytsya, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Rybalkyne, Nesterne, Zemlianky, Bolohivka, Kamyanka, Dvorichna, Kharkiv oblast were shelled with mortars and artillery.

Towards Kupiansk, russian military shelled the vicinities of Kyslivka, Kotlyarivka, Ivanivka, Kharkiv oblast, as well as Novoselivske, Andriivka, Luhansk oblast.

Towards Lyman, the russian army fired the entire range of artillery at the vicinities of settlements of Ploschanka, Chervonopopivka, Kreminna, Dibrova, Luhansk oblast, Terny, and Yampolivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the vicinities of Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Soledar, Krasna Hora, Bakhmut, Klischiivka, Kurdiumivka, Druzhba, Zalizne, New York, Donetsk oblast, were hit with russian artillery.

Towards Avdiivka, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Nevelske, Heorhiivka, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast, came under russian fire. 

Towards Novopavlivka, the russian army fired from artillery and mortars at the vicinities of settlements of Vuhledar, Mykilski Dachi, and Prechystivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, over 10 settlements were damaged by artillery fire, Vremivka, Novopil, Donetsk oblast, Temyrivka, Poltavka, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Scherbaky, Stepove, Kamyanske, and Plavni, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Towards Kherson, russian soldiers are terrorizing civilians. Antonivka and Kherson were shelled with multiple launch rocket systems, and civilians were injured.

Russians attempt to isolate the civilians in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson oblast from access to alternative sources of information. Along with stopping the broadcast of all Ukrainian TV channels, russian troops made russian mobile operators the only available means of mobile communication.

According to the available information, russian troops are intensifying searches for their deserters in the temporarily occupied territories. Under the pretext of searching for Ukrainian saboteurs, russian servicemen are conducting raids in the settlements of Kherson oblast.

Ukrainian Air Force launched 10 air strikes on the buildups of manpower, weapons, and military equipment of the russian army.

Moreover, Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 1 Su-25 russian aircraft.

Ukrainian missile and artillery troops attacked 2 command posts, as well as 1 buildup of russian troops, 1 ammunition depot, 1 electronic warfare station, and 1 radio-location station.


According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and head of the national police Ihor Klymenko, rescue and search operations in Dnipro have completed. 39 people were rescued, 45 people were killed. 20 people are deemed missing, there are kids among them. Bodies of 15 people have not been identified yet. 

According to the UN, since the war started, the toll of casualties among civilians in Ukraine exceeded 7K people. 7031 civilians were killed, 11327 injured. The experts informed that 104 people have been killed since 2023 began, 284 injured. They also noted that the actual number might be much higher.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, overnight 13 settlements were shelled. Dvorichna, Vovchansk and a dozen other settlements were targeted.

Deputy Director of the National Scientific Centre of the Bokarius Institute of Forensic Science, Ihor Bohdaniuk, said that over 16K judicial examinations of buildings destroyed or damaged due to shellings have been completed. According to him, there were 80% of the destruction in residential buildings.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that recently, the Regional Humanitarian Centre received 8 trucks of aid from the UN humanitarian mission. Last week 10 trucks with building materials, kits for quick repairs, medicines, clothes, hygiene products, heaters and other necessary things arrived in Kupiansk from the UN.

The invaders shelled Kupiansk again: around 2:30 pm, an enemy S-300 missile hit Kupiansk Motor Transport College. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties. However, the building of the educational institution was almost completely destroyed.

Yesterday the enemy continued terrorizing the civilian population of frontline settlements of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Kupiansk districts.

In Kupiansk, 2 five-storey apartment buildings and 7 private buildings were damaged by shelling. A 41-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman were injured.

In Vovchansk, Chuhuiv region, the building of the Central district hospital and 7 private buildings were damaged as a result of shelling.

In Bilyi Kolodiaz settlement of Vovchansk community, 3 private buildings and a civilian industrial facility were damaged.

Donetsk oblast

According to the General Staff, Defence Forces repelled enemy attacks in more than 20 settlements yesterday. They also hit 11 buildups of russian troops.

Russian troops shelled 13 settlements: Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Berdychi, Chasiv Yar, Karlivka, Komyshivka, Kramatorsk, Krasnohorivka, Sieverne, Velyka Novosilka, Vesele, Vremivka and Yahidne. They fired from rocket systems, Grad MRLs, artillery, tanks. Russian troops struck Donetsk oblast 36 times, 21 of them Avdiivka.

Referring to the State Border Guard Service  yesterday, Ukrainian border guards repelled russian assault at one of the invaders’ advanced strongholds near Bakhmut. Our troops fired at russian assault troops with infantry weapons, mortars and grenade drops from drones.

Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhii Cherevatyi, informed that Ukrainian troops are in Soledar and are repelling russian attacks.

In liberated Sviatohirsk, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service are clearing the area near power lines. More than 11K explosive ordnance were found in the city after de-occupation.

At night, russians continued to shoot at the frontline and rear cities.

Around midnight, the enemy shelled Kramatorsk, hitting an industrial enterprise. A large area was damaged. There were no casualties.

Towards Volnovakha, 5 buildings were damaged in Vuhledar. Novoukrainka also was under attack – no casualties.

Towards Donetsk, 1 person was killed in Sieverne of Ocheretyne community. There were isolated attacks on Avdiivka, Marinka and the outskirts of Kurakhivka community, and in the morning Kurakhivka was shelled from multiple rocket launchers.

Towards Horlivka, 1 person was killed in Bakhmut. 2 private buildings and an apartment building were damaged. A building was damaged in Kalynove of Illinivka community. The situation in Soledar community is tense, Fedorivka, Paraskoviivka, Rozdolivka and  Soledar were shelled.

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, reported that russians killed 2 civilians in Bakhmut and Sieverne. Another 1 person was injured.

Luhansk oblast

Yesterday Defence Forces units repelled enemy attacks in Bilohorivka. Towards Kupiansk and Lyman, the enemy shelled Andriivka, Dibrova, Kreminna, Makiivka, Nevske, Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that the situation near Kreminna and Svatove is stable. Russian paratroopers, who were sent to Kreminna, try to gain a foothold and hold the city. The invaders try to counterattack near Bilohorivka towards Kreminna and Svatove.

Based on the information provided by the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, in Khrustalne, the invaders closed all mines and dismantled roofs of buildings. Some cities of the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic” are going to be turned into urban-type settlements. Foreigners are offered to “pay off the debt to the new homeland” for obtaining russian citizenship.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Mayor of Kyiv, Head of the Association of Ukrainian Cities Vitalii Klychko informed about his meeting with Robert Habeck, the Vice Chancellor and the Minister of Economy of Germany in Davos. They discussed further support and assistance to Ukraine, namely the weapons supply. Vitalii Klychko noted that he had many meetings with foreign partners to discuss the possibility of economic and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and Kyiv.

According to the Kyiv RMA, Vitalii and Volodymyr Klychko will meet with EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso, take part in the “Rebuilding Ukraine” strategic session and in the informal meeting of world economic leaders “Preparing for a new geopolitical era”, where they will discuss the restoration of peace and order, as well as the necessary assistance to Ukraine.

Awards of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine – “Badges of Honour” and Diplomas of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine were presented to doctors, public utilities workers, rescuers, drivers, volunteers, security guards, and public figures of the oblast. The awards were presented personally by the Minister of Defence Oleksii Reznikov. According to the Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Serhii Popko, the state awards were given to people who have been actively contributing to the defense of the capital and Kyiv oblast since the first days of the war.

In his interview with Reuters, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko said the power shortage in the capital is about 30%. According to him, more russian missile strikes could result in the destruction of energy infrastructure in Kyiv.

The Main Department of the National Police in Kyiv oblast reported that an employee of a utility company found a grenade in the village of Novi Petrivtsi, Vyshhorod region. The man reported his discovery to the police, law enforcement officers of the Vyshhorod Department and explosives experts of the oblast immediately arrived at the scene.

Bucha town mayor Anatolii Fedoruk informed that the repair of roofs on Vodoprovidna Street has been completed. 16 high-rise buildings now have renovated ceilings, insulated attics, completely replaced windows and window structures.

The 21st humanitarian cargo from Germany arrived at the National Conservation Area ‘St. Sophia of Kyiv’, which will be handed over to Ukrainian museums. The delivered supplies are meant to be used for preservation of the national cultural heritage, which is under the threat of destruction due to the full-scale russian aggression. The cargo includes 72 powerful generators, dehumidifiers and humidifiers, hygrometers, power banks, tool kits, packaging materials and other equipment.

The updated exhibition ‘Towards Freedom’ dedicated to the events of the Revolution of Dignity was presented in the Information and Exhibition Center of the Maidan Museum. According to Ukrinform, the exhibition presents helmets, which were artistically reinterpreted by Ukrainian artists in memory of the Maidan, artifacts of everyday life and symbols of protesters. Information stands, photos and videos of the protest will inform visitors about the course of events on the Maidan.

Zhytomyr oblast

Over 35.6K IDP families, including 515 large families, have found shelter in Zhytomyr oblast. The Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration reported that in the oblasts located near the front line, there is a constant risk of shelling, so people are forced to leave their homes and seek shelter in safer parts of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the oblast has received almost 112K internally displaced persons.

According to the Zhytomyr City Council, this year, there will be no public events on Epiphany celebration. This decision is due to martial law and the ban on holding events with large crowds.

Four power generators, 20 stoves and 5 tons of cereals were delivered to the Invincibility Centers, educational institutions, and public utilities of Zhytomyr. The humanitarian aid was delivered to the city within the framework of the memorandum signed between Zhytomyr City Council and Gennadiy Butkevych Charitable Foundation.

Zhytomyr City Council collects metal cans and cardboard to make trench candles. Yellow containers were installed near the Center for Administrative Services and the Zhovten Cinema. Employees of the city utilities will be making trench candles for our defenders.

UAH 150K were raised in Olevka community of Zhytomyr oblast during charity concerts. These funds were used to purchase a vehicle for the Armed Forces which later was delivered to the frontline. They have also sent warm clothes, blankets, food, hygiene products, and a generator.

Sumy oblast

The Regional Military Administration reported that over the past day, the enemy shelled two communities of Sumy oblast. The russians fired 7 times with small arms at Shalyhine community; Druzhba community was shelled with mortars, there were 9 mortar rounds fired.

According to Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, the Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration, operating procedures have been developed and are in force in the oblast, according to which construction materials in sufficient quantities and in the shortest possible time are to be delivered to households affected by shelling. He noted that the targets of russian terrorists, first of all, are the civilian houses located on the border, schools, kindergartens, and hospitals.

Border guards of Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kyiv oblasts received another batch of vehicles from the ‘Unstoppable’ Charity Foundation. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, since the beginning of cooperation, the Foundation has donated 28 cars to border guards of Sumy oblast.

Warm clothes for the military are being made in Paliyivka village, Shostka region. People spin wool for these products themselves using an old local method. Almost all residents of Paliyivka, which is around 250 people, joined the process of creating warm clothes for our defenders.

Chernihiv oblast

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that the enemy continues shelling the border settlements of Chernihiv oblast. In the morning, the occupiers opened mortar fire near Mykolaivka settlement. There were 7 explosions.

526 criminal proceedings were opened under the article “Violation of the laws and customs of war” in Chernihiv oblast. According to the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, these are crimes committed by the russian servicemen during the occupation of part of Chernihiv oblast from February 24, 2022. Courts of original jurisdiction handed down 7 verdicts in russian military cases. Most crimes were recorded in Chernihiv – 200, 26 in Yahidne, and 16 in the villages of Sloboda and Lukashivka.

116 low-power generators were sent to communities of Chernihiv oblast. The regional military administration reported that they plan to install generators at the Invincibility Centers. The assistance was provided by the United Arab Emirates with the participation of the UAIM Charitable Foundation.

The Chernihiv Regional Military Administration reported that last year 460K administrative services were provided to residents of Chernihiv oblast in Administrative Services Centers, despite the fact that many registers were closed or worked with disruptions due to martial law. Most services were received: about 120K registrations of residence and more than 100K social services (including services for IDPs). Currently, there are 37 Administrative Services Centers in the oblast.

According to Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv RMA, two identical modular towns were installed in Novyi Bilous community. 14 families from Staryi Bilous village were accommodated in one of them, and 11 families from Rivnopillia settled in another town. Soon, a permanent bridge donated by France will be installed in the community.

400 trench candles and warm clothes were delivered by Chernihiv residents for the defenders of the oblast. Local resident Ivan Hruda equipped his garage for their production. His family and friends, volunteers and educational institutions help him in his cause. The ‘North’ Operational Command reports that the aid will soon be sent to the frontline.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Search and rescue operations have been completed at the site of the missile strike in Dnipro, as a result of which:

– 39 people were rescued, including 6 children; 

– 44 people were killed, including 5 children; 

– 79 people were injured, including 16 children; and 

– 47 reports of missing persons were received, of which 23 people identified as dead, 4 people found alive at relatives’ places or in hospitals.

Head of the Regional Council, Mykola Lukashuk, reports the Nikopol region again suffered from the terror of the russians. The enemy shelled Pokrov, Chervonohryhorivka and Nikopol communities with heavy artillery. More than two dozen shells were fired at peaceful settlements. 

In Dnipro, near the house destroyed on January 14, an action was held. The participants appealed to the international community with a request to provide Ukraine with air defense systems.

Vinnytsia oblast

The Vinnytsia City Council reports that musical instruments, books, gadgets and more than 100 boxes with gifts for children will be sent to the de-occupied Balaklia by the cultural community of Vinnytsia.

In addition, Vinnytsia musicians and actors of the Vinnytsia Chamber Theater will perform for Balaklia residents. They also plan to conduct lessons on learning Ukrainian and master classes for children. 

The Vinnytsia City Council says that a night vision device, warm clothes, goodies were collected by local educators for the defenders. They held a charity sports tournament among teachers. School teams together with the parent community also supported the initiative.

Poltava oblast

Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration Dmytro Lunin says that 38 educational institutions of the oblast, where internally displaced persons have been living since the first days of the war, will receive food for cooking. Institutions are given basic products: meat, fish, cereals, pasta, butter, oil, onions, carrots, potatoes, hard cheese, condensed milk, tea, cookies – more than 61 tonnes in total. It was purchased at the expense of the regional budget. 

Cherkasy oblast

Head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration Ihor Taburets reports that within the Territorial Defense Program of Cherkasy oblast, more than half a thousand sets of demi-season clothing were purchased,and  almost a thousand sets of winter clothing.  Also, the military purchased folding field beds.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to the police of Zaporizhzhia oblast, January 16, russian occupants struck the territory of Zaporizhzhia region 95 times. Zaporizhzhia, Malokaterinivka, Bilenke, Gulyaypole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Krasne, Charivne, Temyrivka, Olgivske, Shcherbaki, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohirya, Staroukrainka, Malynivka, Novopavlivka, Stepnohirsk, Stepove, Kamianske, Plavni, Mali Shcherbaki suffered from the armed aggression of the occupation troops. The destruction of 64 residential buildings and civil infrastructure objects was reported.

According to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko, there is constant pressure on people at Zaporizhzhia NPP. The enemy has not received the expected results from the signed contracts. Also, the situation is deteriorating from a technical point of view: the station does not work, it only receives energy from the Ukrainian side. Experts from the IAEA are trying to explain to the occupiers what is necessary for at least several units to work.

In the temporarily occupied territories, Ukrainians are forced to get russian license plates, but they refuse to do so. Russian occupiers also force people to place TVR (“Tavriya province”) stickers on the license plates instead of UA. This can help avoid fines from the occupiers. At russian checkpoints, Ukrainians are also forced to re-register their cars under the russian legislation. 

Mykolaiv oblast

According to the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on January 16, at 22:53, the enemy conducted artillery strikes on the settlement of Ochakiv community. As a result, one person was killed. The social infrastructure facility and residential buildings were damaged. 

Over the day,  on January 17, units of the missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit a control point, 11 areas of occupiers’ buildup, a fuel and lubricants depot and an ammunition depot of the enemy. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

The mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency arrived at the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant in Mykolaiv oblast. The IAEA flag in the presence of its Director General, Head of the IAEA mission Raphael Grossi was raised on the territory of the station on January 16. According to Grossi, this mission is extremely necessary due to the military situation in Ukraine. “I am happy to be here. After the Zaporizhzhia NPP, we are expanding our presence at other nuclear power plants in Ukraine. Today it is the first step and we will continue to work in this direction,” he said.

Odesa oblast

According to the spokesman of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Serhiy Bratchuk, there are six enemy missile carriers in the Black Sea, the total volley of which can be up to 44 “calibers”. This means that russia intends to continue missile attacks on Odesa oblast.

According to the mayor of Izmail Andriy Abramchenko, Izmail received chairs and generators from the sister city of Włocławek (Poland) to equip school shelters. 

Kherson oblast

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, russian invaders attacked Kherson region 102 times. They fired from artillery, MLRS, mortars, tanks and UAVs. russians shelled Kherson 36 times. Residential areas of the city once again came under occupiers’ fire. Enemy shells hit the building of the boarding school, hospital, academic regional puppet theater, city topography and residential buildings. Due to russian shelling, 1 person was killed, 2 residents of Kherson region were injured of varying severity. 

Russian occupiers shelled Kakhovka at night on January 17. As a result of the shelling, a child was injured and her parents were killed. This was reported by the mayor of Kakhovka Vitaliy Nemerets. The shelling also destroyed the house where the family lived.

On January 16, 7 residents were evacuated from the villages of Vesele and Kozatske of the Novokakhovka city territorial community liberated from the russian occupation. The charitable organization “HelpPeople. Evacuation. Humanitarian aid” helped people leave the settlements, which are under constant enemy fire, to a safer place. Residents who stayed in their homes received medicines, including insulin, from benefactors.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The RMA reported that Volyn received 4 specialized trucks with powerful generators provided by Swedish volunteers.

2K pairs of winter shoes and the same number of sets of winter uniforms were sent to the servicemen of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade. Military clothing consists of windproof pants, a windproof jacket and a jacket heater. The uniform corresponds to all standards of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the Lutsk community, 80 soldiers are recovering from injuries, amputations and contusions at the Medical Center for the Rehabilitation of Combatants. The course of treatment takes two weeks.

The Boratyn community reported that in a village near Lutsk, a charity nativity scene collected UAH 27K for the Armed Forces.

Zakarpattia oblast

A powerful generator was purchased for the Uzhhorod waterworks. The device will allow treatment facilities to work in the event of a power outage. Funds were allocated from the community budget.

In Irshava, a charity race Warm Hero to help the military was held. The collected UAH 40K will be used to purchase sets of warm clothing (gloves, hats, buffs) for defenders from the 128th separate mountain assault brigade.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The dispatcher of Ukrenergo proved the night limit for the oblast to be 201.1 MW. The daily limit is 269 MW.

The RMA reported that military exercises continue in Prykarpattia.

For the first time in Ivano-Frankivsk, the All-Ukrainian charity festival Christmas of Unspoiled Ukraine was held. Funds collected during the festival will be used to purchase a bath and laundry complex for defenders.

From Ivano-Frankivsk, a car and goodies were delivered to the defenders of the 24th Brigade.

The RMA reported that a shelter for IDPs was set up in the Dubovetsk territorial community.

600K light bulbs will be issued to the people of Prikarpattia at Ukrposhta. One person will be able to exchange 5 working light bulbs for new energy-saving ones with a choice of E27 and E14 sockets.

Lviv oblast

The dispatcher of Ukrenergo set the consumption limit for Lviv oblast at 518.4 megawatts, which is 12.1 megawatts less than yesterday.

In the RMA a meeting with the Vice Marshal of the Lublin Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland, Zbigniew Wojciechowski, was held. The key goal was the railway connection of Lviv oblast with Warsaw and cross-border cooperation.

One of Lviv hospitals received a generator. The device was brought by the Vice-Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Malgozata Gosiewska. During the meeting with Mayor of Lviv, Andrii Sadovyi, she emphasized her readiness to help other cities of Ukraine that suffered from rocket attacks.

In the city council a meeting with the founders of the Angels for Ukraine charity fund was held. They discussed supporting the UNBROKEN project.

The city council of Lviv reported that five Starlink terminals, ten drones and a car were sent to the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo from Lviv.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne, implementation of the Administrative Service Veteran project has started. This will simplify the provision of administrative services to veterans and their family members.

The Main Department of the National Social Service in Rivne oblast reported that UNICEF Ukraine sent 35 boilers for displaced persons living in Rivne oblast. They added that these necessary household appliances have already been received in 7 places of compact residence in the oblast.

Ternopil oblast

In Ternopil, temporary accommodation centers will be deployed throughout the city in twelve educational institutions. In order for schools to be able to urgently provide shelter if necessary, they are already being provided with everything necessary.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

In Khmelnytskyi, free hot lunches are provided for IDPs. Registration to receive such aid was resumed at the Caritas. Khmelnytskyi charity organization.

Chernivtsi oblast

The Bukovyna State Medical University received a gasoline generator provided by the Chernivtsi regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine.

Humanitarian aid, namely food, goodies, games and warm clothing, were sent to boarding facilities in Bukovyna provided by the German charitable organization Schüler Helfen Leben.

In the Chernivtsi Regional Children’s Library, children make gifts for soldiers, namely trench candles, camouflage costumes, Motanka dolls, angels, etc for soldiers. Later they will be sent to the defenders.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Minister of Defense Ben Wallace announced that the United Kingdom will provide Ukraine with “the most significant combat aid package to date”. It includes a squadron of Challenger 2 tanks, 8 AS90 guns, 100 units of armored vehicles, including the Buldoh armored personnel carrier, dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles, 100K artillery shells, 100 “advanced missiles”, spare parts to support Ukrainian tanks and armored vehicles.

Minister of Defense Ben Wallace announced that this year, Great Britain will train another 20K Ukrainian soldiers.

Head of the Ministry of Defense of Slovakia, Yaroslav Nagy, announced that his country sent another (eighth) howitzer Zuzana 2 to Ukraine.

NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg announced a bilateral meeting with Defense Minister Reznikov at the Ramstein air base on January 20. The key goal of the meeting, which is being held by US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, will be the war in Ukraine and related security challenges faced by NATO members and partners.

Minister of Defense of Finland, Mikko Savola announced that on January 20, at the meeting of Ukraine’s allies at the Ramstein air base in Germany, the issue of supplying Leopard main battle tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be on the agenda.

Olena Zelenska presented the Ukrainian Peace Formula at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Earlier, the President of Ukraine announced the formula to G19 leaders.
