It has been the 321th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6pm:   

The russian occupiers continue to conduct full-scale armed aggression against our state. To maintain the offensive and replenish losses in manpower, the enemy continues mobilizing measures.

The enemy does not stop inflicting missile and air strikes, carrying out artillery shelling on critical infrastructure and civilian accommodation on the territory of Ukraine, thereby violating the norms of International Humanitarian Law, laws and customs of warfare.

The enemy launched 2 missile strikes and carried out 7 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems, targeting civilian infrastructure in Donetsk and Kherson oblasts.

There remains a threat of the enemy’s air and missile strikes launched on critical infrastructure throughout Ukraine.

The enemy continues to shell the positions of our troops and civilian targets along the entire contact line.

Towards Siversk, Synkivka, Chernihiv oblast, and Pokrovka, Sumy oblast were shelled from mortars and barreled artillery.

Towards Sloboda, the enemy shelled the positions of our troops in the areas of 13 settlements, namely Sosnivka, Zelene, Vovchansk, Khatne, Krasne Pershye and Dvorenka of Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy fired from tanks of the entire range of artillery in the areas of Vilshana, Orlianka, Kyslivka, Kharkiv oblast and Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Luhansk oblast.

Towards Lyman, shelling from tanks, mortars, barreled and rocket artillery was carried out in the areas of Makiivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka, Luhansk oblast and Terny, Serebrianka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy fired tanks and artillery at various types of positions of our troops in the areas of Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Paraskoviivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka direction, the enemy fired tanks, mortars, barreled and rocket-propelled artillery in the areas of the settlements of Avdiivka, Vesele, Nevelske, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Novopavlivka, the enemy fired tanks and the entire range of artillery at the positions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in Vremivka, Velyka Novoselka, Vuhledar of the Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the enemy fired tanks, mortars, barreled and rocket artillery at the positions of our troops and civilian infrastructure in 18 settlements, namely Vilne Pole, Novopil, Donetsk oblast; Olhivske, Zaliznychnne, Huliaipole, Stepove, Shcherbaky, Bilohiria, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Towards Kherson, the enemy does not stop shelling settlements along the right bank of the Dnipro River. The civilian infrastructure of 12 settlements was damaged by artillery shelling, namely Antonivka, Vesele, Dudchany, Mylove and Zolota Balka of Kherson oblast and the city of Kherson. There are civilian casualties.

The enemy continues to suffer losses. According to available information, hospitals in the city of Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia oblast, are overcrowded with wounded, so the russian occupation forces have set up 3 more military hospitals over the past week.

Aviation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine has inflicted 14 strikes on buildups of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as 4 strikes on the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems.

Units of rocket forces and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine damaged two control points, two positions of the rocket troops and artillery and 5 buildups of manpower and military equipment of russian invaders.

The press service of the Security Service of Ukraine reports that the Security Service of Ukraine has exposed more than 600 russian agents and spies. Since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Security Service has been investigating into more than 1.5K criminal proceedings on the facts of treason and espionage. More than 340 of them were sent to court.

Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhii Cherevatyi says that near Soledar, the Ukrainian defense forces are trying to maximize the depletion of Russian troops. Now the defenders are doing everything possible to ensure that any success of the invaders is brought to a great abyss. The day before, the russians shelled Soledar and the outskirts of this town with 86 artillery systems.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the invaders shelled at least 16 settlements with tanks and the entire range of artillery.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, informed that today, together with her Ukrainian colleague, Dmytro Kuleba, Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Burbock, visited Kharkiv oblast. During the visit, they visited Saltove district, which suffered the most from enemy shelling and other places of russian crimes. They held meaningful negotiations on bringing russia to justice, restoring the infrastructure of Kharkiv oblast and supplying Ukraine with new models of modern weapons. As Annalena Burbock assured, Germany is ready to assist Ukraine as long as necessary until our final victory over the aggressor.

10-year-old girl, who was injured during the missile atttack on Shevchenkove, is in moderate condition. She was operated and remains in resuscitation.

Head of Zolochiv community, Viktor Kovalenko, reported that russians attacked two villages with mortars and artillery: power lines, hangar, agricultural enterprises, shops and outbuildings were damaged. Power engineers are restoring the electricity supply.

Kharkivhaz JSC said that the Ukrainian flag was raised in Barvinkove with the help of its employees: the flagpole fell in spring due to russian shelling.

Clown Marco Rodari from Italy, who works with children in war torn countries, came to Kharkiv oblast for the second time. Marco entertains children from de-occupied villages and settlements through which the front line passed.

Yesterday, the enemy continued shelling civilians in the border cities and villages of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Kupiansk districts.

Yesterday morning, the invaders launched a missile attack on the market in Shevchenkove, Kupiansk region. As a result of shelling 2 women were killed. 6 people were injured, including a 10-year-old girl. Her condition is currently assessed as moderate.

Yesterday the enemy attacked Dvorichna, Kotliarivka, Kupiansk, Kyslivka, Strilecha and others. A 43-year-old man was injured and hospitalized in Dvorichna.

Mine clearance works continue. Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service defused 72 explosive ordnance.

French film director and Oscar winner Michel Hazanavicius made a contribution of EUR 125K for reconstruction of Izium city hospital, which was partially destroyed and looted by russian troops. The money was raised during a charity auction. Specifically, actor Tom Hanks, actress Catherine Deneuve, actor Alain Delon, actress Natalie Portman, musician Thomas Bangalter from Daft Punk joined this initiative.

Donetsk oblast

The invaders shelled Soledar with artillery 86 times in one day. Ukrainian troops are holding the line and trying to deplete enemy forces as much as possible.

Last night it was loud along the entire frontline.

Towards Volnovakha, 1 person was killed in Vuhledar. On the territory of the community, the outskirts of Bohoiavlenka, Prechystivka and Vodiane were shelled.

Towards Donetsk, Kurakhivka suffered the most – 2 people were injured and 35 buildings damaged. Yelyzavetivka of Marinka community was shelled at night, private buildings were damaged. In the morning russians shelled Avdiivka with Grad MRLs. There were no casualties.

Towards Horlivka, 4 people in Bakhmut and 1 in Paraskoviivka were injured – 24 private buildings and 2 five-storey buildings were damaged. A 5-storey building was damaged in Soledar. The outskirts of Toretsk and Chasiv Yar communities were also shelled.

Towards Lysychansk, russians destroyed a private building in Serebrianka of Siversk community and damaged a shop in Raihorodok of Mykolaiv community. The shelling of Torske and Zarichne of the Lyman community did not stop.

Russian troops launched another missile attacks on Kostiantynivka and Kramatorsk late in the evening yesterday. In Kostiantynivka, the rockets landed outside the city – no one was injured. In Kramatorsk – they hit the road on Oleksa Tykhoho Street, a car burned down. Two people inside were killed.

Yesterday the occupiers shelled 11 settlements. A policeman was killed and civilians injured in Bakhmut during shelling.

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that russians injured 6 civilians: 4 in Bakhmut and 2 in Kurakhivka. 

Luhansk oblast

Occupiers’ attacks in the area of Bilohorivka, Chervonopopivka and Kuzmine were repelled. Russians also fired from tanks, mortars, barrels towards Kupiansk and Lyman at Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Ploschanks and Dibrova. 

Russians deployed additional paratroopers and tanks to hold back Ukrainian army’s offensive on Kreminna, but this did not change the situation. Ukrainian defence forces destroy 6-7 tanks per night towards Svatove-Kreminna.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that in Bilohorivka our fighters are repelling all russian attacks. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are gradually liberating the territory of Luhansk oblast near Kreminna. Near Svatove, russians are trying to counterattack but have no success, close battles are raging at a distance of 40 meters from one side to the other. The invaders are shelling the liberated settlements, two civilians were killed and two injured in Nevske as a result of yesterday’s shelling, today they will be evacuated from there. Ukrainian troops in Luhansk oblast destroyed 78 units of russian military equipment over the last month, 23 of them – in one day.

The invaders are registering high school students for military service, collaborators are quitting so-called “law enforcement agencies” in Starobilsk.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The head of Makariv village council Vadym Tokar said that planned military drills, which are ongoing on the territory of the community, have been extended until January 15. Makariv village council urges residents of Bucha region to remain calm and understand possible inconveniences related to explosions and shootings.

The agreement on twinning between capitals of Ukraine and Denmark is being discussed by Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klychko and his colleague from Copenhagen, Sophie Hestorp Andersen. The Economic Department of the Municipality of Copenhagen reported that the document envisages cooperation in reconstruction and urban planning.

The Holy Dormition Cathedral and the Refectory Church in the Lavra will soon be open to visitors. According to the deputy director of the National Reserve “Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” Kostiantyn Krayniy, religious communities will be able to submit applications for worship services in the Lavra churches.

The Kyiv City State Administration reported that they are developing a program for reintegration and rehabilitation of military personnel and are preparing to introduce a new system of services to support veterans and their families. The program should start working this year. They are also planning to create a single veterans’ center where former military personnel will be able to receive a full range of services, legal and psychological counseling.

Reconstruction of buildings on Hrushevskyi Street in Vyshhorod, where a russian rocket hit a high-rise building at the end of November, is ongoing. In eight high-rise buildings and a nearby school, windows damaged by the blast wave have already been replaced. The roof is currently being repaired. The head of the Kyiv RMA Oleksiy Kuleba said that the repair of the rocket-damaged building will begin after design and estimate are completed.

At the Central Station, candles will be distributed to passengers from the most affected regions, where there are significant power outages. The candles are made in Poland and can burn up to 90 hours. A Kickstarter collection was launched for this purpose.

The Department of Tourism and Promotions of the Kyiv City State Administration reported that French artist Christian Ghemy, working under the pseudonym C215, created art objects near houses damaged by russian military aggression. The artist’s murals can be seen in Kyiv, Bucha and Hostomel.

Zhytomyr oblast

At the Zhytomyr Medical Institute, classes on pre-medical care for school teachers and employees of preschool institutions have started. At the first training, educators learned to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, apply tourniquets, tamponade wounds, and apply pressure bandages. The training was organized on the initiative of the Zhytomyr City Department of Education.

Employees of the regional center for disease control and prevention in Zhytomyr collected almost 400,000 hryvnias for a vehicle for border guards. The money was transferred to the account of the Zhytomyr Community Fund.

Iryna and Bohdan Lavrenchuk made one hundred field stoves in two months in Zhytomyr and handed them over to the soldiers at the front. A workshop for creating stoves, which can be used both for heating and cooking, was arranged on its own premises. Such stoves have already been received by the military in Bakhmut, Kharkiv, Slaviansk and Kherson directions.

Sumy oblast

The head of the Sumy RMA Dmytro Zhivytskyi announced that the enemy shelled four communities in Sumy oblast, hitting them more than 90 times.

In the first half of the day, Krasnopillia community came under shelling. The occupiers fired 23 hits from “Hrad” MLRS and 12 hits from barrel artillery. The enemy also dropped two explosives from a drone on the territory of the community.

10 hits from mortars and 27 from barrel artillery were recorded in Shalyhine community.

The russian military shelled 12 mines on the territory of Bilopillia community. About 8 mortar attacks were counted in Yunakivka.

The “North” OC reported that the russian army shelled the border of Sumy oblast once again. After lunch, the occupiers hit the territory of Kucherivka village of Shostka region with barrel artillery. Recorded 21 hits, probably from barrel artillery.

Useful gifts from benefactors have arrived at Trostyanets Points of Invincibility. The All-Ukrainian competition of creative projects Code of the Nation “Ukrainian Snizhnytsia” is held in Sumy. The event, held as part of the National Code of the Nation festival, is aimed at developing cultural, spiritual and patriotic values, as well as popularizing Ukrainian-language content. Those interested are invited to participate by the NGO Youth Organization “Young Generation”, participants’ donats will go to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Schoolchildren in Okhtyrka will receive online education until the end of the war. Such a decision was taken by the Okhtyrka City Council, guided by the issue of children’s safety.

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Service reported that the occupiers shelled 4 mines along the border of the Novgorod-Siverskyi community.

The “North” OC reports that the russian military shelled the village of Senkivka in the Chernihiv region, 21 hits probably from the mortar were counted.

The Ministry of Community Development reported that the first modular bridge transferred from France was installed in the Chernihiv oblast. The message states that the carriageway is ready for operation, preparatory works are currently underway, after which traffic will be launched. We will remind that during the fighting days in the territory of Chernihiv oblast in February and March, 27 bridges and overpasses were destroyed.

French engineers will put their efforts into the restoration of Chernihiv oblast. Chernihiv RMA and the EGIS Villes et Transport/Dassault Systemes/B4 D&E Joint Venture signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding consulting services “Conducting diagnostics and developing a digital platform for the recovery of Ukraine. A pilot project in the Chernihiv oblast”.

The head of Chernihiv RMA Vyacheslav Chaus announced that a new batch of generators from Denmark arrived in Chernihiv oblast. Three generators from the Danish company ROCKWOOL will be distributed among the communities of the oblast: one each will go to Pryluky and Novgorod-Siverskyi to provide backup power to critical infrastructure, and one will remain in reserve for the time being.

Oblteplokomunenergo reported that Chernihiv received two powerful generators from France. The gifts will work in a boiler house in one of the neighborhoods of Chernihiv and in a local Point of Invincibility.

A TV series for children was filmed about Patron, a sapper dog from Chernihiv oblast. A dog that serves in the emergency department and frees Ukraine from dangerous finds will raise people’s awareness of mine danger. The Plastic Bag studio worked on the series.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Head of the Regional Council Mykola Lukashuk, the enemy shelled Nikopol region twice during the night. They shelled the Marhanets community from MRLS Hrad. Houses and cafes were damaged by artillery shells.

Vinnytsia oblast

Stoves, a thermal imager, small pots, trench candles, clothes, food and children’s drawings, which are like real amulets for soldiers, were sent to the front by Lyceum No. 29.

Kirovohrad oblast

Thanks to the support of the UNICEF international initiative, four schools received generators in Svitlovodsk community in Kirovohrad oblast. Generators were brought to schools to ensure uninterrupted operation of extracurricular clubs in case of power outages and possible blackouts.

In Kropyvnytskyi, patrol police officers visited an 8-year-old volunteer to thank him and present gifts. Maxym organized an improvised “blockpost” near his house, where he collected funds for the needs of the army from indifferent drivers and pedestrians. Another boy, together with his friends, drew more than a hundred patriotic drawings for our military. Together with his family, he also knits socks for our soldiers and makes trench candles.

Poltava oblast

Dmytro Lunin, head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, met with the Coordinator of the UN system in Ukraine, Humanitarian Coordinator Denise Brown. They discussed the prospects of cooperation in humanitarian support of the oblast: aid for the internally displaced persons who were sheltered by Poltava oblast, arranging compact living quarters for IDPs.

Eduard Reva, director of the department of housing and communal services and energy of Poltava RMA, reported that the enterprise “Poltavateploenergo” should have received 12 generators required for operation of boiler houses during power outages and providing heat to consumers by January 20.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration, reported that the  “SPD-Ukraine” Cherkasy IT company transferred over UAH 3.6 million to the Regional Development Agency as part of corporate volunteering. They immediately communicated with a number of military units, law enforcement agencies and determined their operational needs, purchased and already handed over DJI Matrice 30T quadcopter, batteries for the quadcopter, truck tires for the motor battalion, Motorola radios, batteries for Motorola walkie-talkies, thermal imagers of various types and characteristics, generators, etc.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to the Zaporizhzhia RMA, on January 9, the occupiers fired at civilian infrastructure near the settlements of Stepove, Mala Tokmachka, Luhivske, Bilohiria, Chervone, Omelnyk, Novopavlivka, Novodanylivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Bilohiria, Olhivske, Dorozhnianka, Malynivka, Shcherbaky, Poltavka, Orikhiv, Plavni, Kamianske, Mali Shcherbaky, Mahdalynivka. 

According to Mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov, in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region, three quarters of the agricultural potential of the region is concentrated, so people have food stocks, but now there is a significant shortage of medicines, which the occupiers ban to transport. First, all hospitals in the temporarily occupied territory of the region were taken away from civilians for the wounded russian military, and then the exit to Zaporizhzhia oblast, where residents were going for treatment, was closed. Currently, the nearest hospitals that provide qualified assistance are located in Crimea.  Assistance is provided only if you have russian medical insurance. It can be obtained only with a russian passport. 

As of January 10, 24,534 consumers in 71 settlements of Zaporizhzhya region are without power supply due to damaged power lines, poles and equipment. Over the past day, Zaporizhzhyaoblenergo restored power supply to 1,353 households in the service area of the Orikhiv branch, which were cut off earlier due to enemy shelling. The region offices in the temporarily occupied territory have no access to the power grids and no up-to-date information on their condition.

According to the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, the occupation authorities in the russian-occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia oblast introduced passes for travel outside the settlements. This is done to collect personal data of citizens and forced mobilization.

Mykolaiv oblast

According to Spokeswoman of the Joint Coordination Center of the Southern Defense Forces Natalia Humeniuk, the massive shelling by russian invaders on January 9 of Ochakiv, Mykolaiv oblast, is their response to the success of the Ukrainian military on the Kinburn Spit. 

According to Head of the Mykolaiv RMA Vitalii Kim, on January 10, two trucks of construction materials were sent from the Mykolaiv RMA to help the affected residents of Ochakiv. First of all, assistance will be provided to critical infrastructure facilities, namely the hospital.  

Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitalii Kim reports that on January 10, during a missile strike on Ochakiv the day before, russian occupiers  hit an old warehouse of anti-ship mines from the Second World War time, which was filled with concrete.  The enemy took this ‘burial ground’ for an ammunition depot. With two Dagger missiles, the occupiers managed to pierce the meter-thick concrete and blow up the old mines.

As reported by the Mykolaiv City Council, the city received ten cast-iron stoves (stoves) for heating family-type orphanages. This became possible under the Sosdeti emergency assistance program. 

Odesa oblast

According to the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, export of Ukrainian grain to Africa, Asia and Europe through the ports of Odesa, Yuzhnyi and Chornomorsk reached 17 million tons. 

According to the official website of the Reni City Council, in the near future, air quality monitoring stations will appear in the community. They will open and operate within the framework of the international EGAP program, which is being implemented in our country by the Eastern Europe Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine with the support of Switzerland. 

Kherson oblast

According to the Kherson RMA, russian occupiers fired 46 times on the territory of Kherson region from artillery, MLRS, mortars and tanks. russians shelled Kherson 14 times, targeting residential areas of the city. The enemy shells hit critical infrastructure facilities, private and apartment buildings. 2 people were killed and 2 more wounded due to russian shelling. 

According to the first deputy chairman of the Kherson regional council Yurii Sobolevsky, on January 10, russian troops shelled Kherson. According to preliminary information, the occupiers used S-300 missiles. An enemy shell landed right in the yard of an apartment building. There is a crater which was immediately filled with water. A local resident was wounded. 

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the delta of the Dnipro River, near the island of Bilohrudy, the defense forces hit an enemy boat with artillery. 

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Volyn border guards received two cars, stoves and warm clothes from charitable organizations.

The Rokada CF in Volyn oblast, which is an executive partner of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, created a map of IDPs’ mass settlements and free places for settlement on the territory of Volyn. The created map is interactive and enables resettlers to find out about the contact numbers of the shelter, see what the settlement looks like, etc.

The Lutsk City Council and the Volyn Regional Association of Evangelical Christian Baptist Churches, will deploy heating points in four churches. This was discussed during a meeting in the city council with representatives of the religious community.

Zakarpattia oblast

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Ukraine Larisa Galadza-Kronin is in Zakarpattia on a working visit. During the meeting in the city council, they discussed supporting Ukraine.

The RMA reported that the collection of photographs called Cultural Ethnos of Zakarpattia  taken by Mykhailo Dorohovych, who is from Zakarpattia, won a silver award at the New York International Photography Awards.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

For the oblast, the dispatcher of Ukrenergo provided the night limit from midnight to 07:00, which is 222.86 MW, and the daytime limit of 291.99 MW for the daytime period from 07:00 to midnight.

The RMA reported that in Prykarpattia military exercises will take place.

Lviv oblast

The rescuers of Lviv oblast received three fire trucks, generators, fire helmets and equipment. Humanitarian aid was brought by German colleagues from Feuerwehr Delbrück.

Cars and ammunition were sent to the 125th and 103rd brigades of the Territorial Defense Forces and the National Police as part of the 1K Freedom Cars initiative. Cars are equipped with certified bulletproof vests (5 in each car). There are also over 7 tonnes of humanitarian aid, namely, food, hygiene products, medicines, heaters, generators, Starlink systems, etc., in the cars.

The Strii hospital received a powerful generator to provide uninterrupted operation of the facility. In general, 4 basic medical facilities in Lviv oblast received powerful generators from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

A collection of stories and short stories by military serviceman Oleksandr Osadko was published posthumously in the Staryyi Lev Publishing House. The book has a name You can’t die to live and tells seven life stories.

Rivne oblast

The RMA reported that in 2022, UAH 270 million was spent on the city’s defense needs and military support in Rivne. This is over 75% of the volume of capital expenditures.

Over the past year, sappers of Rivne oblast destroyed over 8K explosive objects. They worked in the territories of Kyiv, Donetsk, Kherson and Rivne oblasts.

Last year, Rivne oblast became a refuge for many families with children, in particular, for families raising orphans and those deprived of parental care. Today, there are 5 foster families with 14 children and 3 family-type orphanages with 18 children living in the oblast.

Ternopil oblast

Since the war began, over 8K IDPs have received medical care in Ternopil oblast hospitals. Patients arrived from the frontline areas to the region by evacuation trains.

In the oblast, over UAH 100K were collected for the defenders at a charity concert. The collected funds will be used for the purchase of three Valkiriia unmanned aircraft systems for the Ternopil 44th Brigade.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA reported that Khmelnytskyi received 3 generators as part of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.

The dJI Mavic 3 quadcopter and 2 Hicmicro Gryphon and Eye 2 InfRay thermal imagers were sent to the Khmelnytskyi military units. The funds were donated by employees of the city council and communal enterprises from their salaries.

Chernivtsi oblast

Chernivtsi health care institutions of the oblast received medical equipment, namely Welch Allyn otoscopes/ophthalmoscopes and laryngoscopes. The devices were purchased by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine with funds from the World Bank.

The international company Bayer donated €1.3 million to restore Ukrainian medical facilities.

The Czech Republic will deliver a new batch of T-72 tanks to Ukraine. One of them was signed by the Prime Minister. “On the T-72 tank, which will go to Ukraine, I wrote a short message to the brave Ukrainian defenders. I believe that the Ukrainians will win the fight against the russian aggressor,” wrote Peter Fiala on Twitter. He also added that the TREVA 30 evacuation vehicle will be sent to Ukraine.

Prime Minister of Sweden, Ulf Kristersson, announced that Sweden can transfer Archer self-propelled guns to Ukraine. He added that Sweden is preparing a military aid package.

The State Emergency Service received 10 armored shelter containers (class 2 armor protection) from Finland to strengthen the capabilities of pyrotechnic units. Armored containers are equipped with sleeping places, a generator, an air conditioner, a separate supply and exhaust ventilation system.

L3Harris Technologies announced that it had received a contract from the US Department of Defense for the supply of VAMPIRE missile systems for Ukraine. The amount of the contract for the supply of 14 rocket launchers based on pickups is $40 million.

The Ministry of Defense of Great Britain said that in 2023 they aim to equal or even exceed the level of support for Ukraine compared to 2022. The country’s Ministry of Defense also noted that Britain has already provided Ukraine with 200 units of armored vehicles.

National security adviser to the US President, Jake Sullivan, stated that the US has a confirmed plan for financing Ukraine’s necessary security, economic, humanitarian and energy aid for almost the entire year 2023, and disagreements between political forces will not affect this.

French President Macron announced that France and Japan will help Ukraine cope with the consequences of the russian invasion.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, explaining the delay in the transfer of weapons, stated that Italy intends to send air defense systems to Ukraine, but for this a number of technical issues must be resolved.

President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced that the EU will introduce new sanctions against belarus and Iran.

Estonia plans to present a legal plan this month to seize russian assets in the country.

The Ombudsman of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets, met with Chief Ombudsman of the Republic of Turkey, Sheref Malkoch. They discussed bilateral cooperation.

Negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union were postponed from autumn to spring this year.

The representative of the UNHCR in Germany, Katarina Lampp, reported that russia’s full-scale war in Ukraine has caused the largest wave of refugees since World War II. Over 7.9 million people left Ukraine, and another 5.9 million people are IDPs.

The EU and NATO signed an updated Joint Declaration on Cooperation to deepen the strategic partnership and strengthen support for Ukraine for the first time in the last 5 years. NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg noted that due to russia’s attack on Ukraine, this declaration is more important than ever before.

Sweden will join the initiative of creating a European air defense system. In addition, Sweden is ready to contribute to NATO air patrols, including in the Black Sea and Iceland.
