It has been the 368 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian army launched 11 air strikes and 17 MLRS attacks, targeted civilian infrastructure of the city of Kherson and other settlements along the front line in Donetsk oblast. The attacks caused casualties among the civilian population and damage to local residential buildings.

The threat of russian missile attacks remains high across Ukraine.

Towards Volyn, Polissia, Siversk and Sloboda, there were no significant changes. The russian army shelled from mortar and artillery in the vicinities of Katerynivka, Chernihiv oblast; Stukalyvka, Hyrine, Pavlivka, Sumy oblast; Veterinarne, Strilecha, Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Cherniak, Loshakovo, Krasne Pershe, Stroivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, and Kupiansk, Kharkiv oblast. Russian military used an unmanned aerial vehicle with a combat munition in Popivka area, Sumy oblast.

Towards Kupiansk and Lyman, russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the vicinities of Masiutivka, Nevske, Serebriansk Forestry, Bilohorivka, Torske, Rozdolivka, and Fedorivka. Russian artillery shelled the vicinities of more than 18 settlements, including Hrianykivka, Kislivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, and Berestovka, Kharkiv oblast; Nevske, Chervonopivka, Kreminna, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast. Air strikes took place in the vicinities of Zhitlivka, Bilohorivka, Vesele, and Rozdolivka.

Towards Bakhmut, the russian army continues to attack the positions of Ukrainian troops. They have carried out several unsuccessful attacks near the settlements of Vasiukivka, Zaliznianske, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Bohdanivka, Ivanovske and Stupochki, Donetsk oblast. Areas of more than 15 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Zaliznianske, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klischiivka, Kurdiumivka, Ozarianivka, Bila Hora, Oleksandro-Shultine and New York, Donetsk oblast, were shelled. Russian soldiers also launched an air strike near Bakhmut.

Towards Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk, the russian army conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinities of Kamianka, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, and Vuhledar settlements. Residential areas of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Netaylove, Marinka, Heorhiyivka, Bohoiavlenka, Vuhledar, and Velyka Novosilka, Donetsk oblast. Russian soldiers actively used fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft in the vicinity of Kamianka, Avdiivka, and Marinka.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, over 20 settlements suffered russian attacks, including Vremivka, Neskuchne, Zelene Pole, and Novopil, Donetsk oblast; Chervone, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, and Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia oblast. Russian troops conducted an airstrike in the vicinity of Novopol and Chervone.

Towards Kherson, Mykhailivka, Havrylivka, Vesele, Matrosivka, Ivanivka, Mykilske, Molodizhne, Inzhenerne, Antonivka, Kherson and Dniprovske, Kherson oblast, were struck with artillery.

The russian army continues to suffer significant losses. In Horlivka region, Donetsk oblast, on February 23, an on-site examination was conducted without official registration on the bodies of about 200 mercenaries of the so-called “Wagner” PMC. Russian troops were destroyed within the period from February 20 to 22 on the Bakhmut axis. After the examination, the bodies of russian servicemen were taken by trucks towards Novoshakhtinsk, russian federation.

Within the period from February 22 to 24, up to 30 bodies of russian servicemen called up for mobilization from temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk oblast and russian federation, were transported to the local morgue.

The Ukrainian Air Forces conducted 4 air strikes on buildups of russian troops and military equipment.

According to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, 1877 settlements are currently under the temporary russian occupation. 

The Minister of Energy Herman Haluschenko informs that there won’t be any restrictions on power supply to civilians given that russia won’t launch new attacks on the energy facilities.

Head of the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine, lieutenant general Mykola Oleschuk reported that starting from September 650 missiles and 610 Iranian UAVs were destroyed. He also noted that in the short run Ukraine will receive air defense systems Partiot, SAMP/SAMP/T-MAMBA, which will significantly reinforce the air defense system of Ukraine.


Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at least 13 settlements in Kupiansk and Sloboda were under enemy attack. They tried to advance towards Masiutivka.

Yesterday, the enemy fired at the border settlements of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Kupiansk regions. In Kupiansk, 4 private residential buildings were damaged and outbuildings destroyed by the shelling. An 82-year-old woman was affected due to severe stress. She received help on the spot. In Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, 5-storey residential buildings were damaged.

Around 8 pm, Monachynivka village of Kupiansk region was shelled with artillery. There were no casualties.

Humanitarian de-mining continues. Yesterday, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service defused 46 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, between February 20 and 22, about 200 mercenaries of PMC Wagner were eliminated towards Bakhmut.

Russian troops shelled 15 settlements with aircraft, rocket systems, Grad, artillery and tanks. Avdiivka was shelled the most, 9 times, with aircraft, Grad systems and artillery.

Russian troops launched a missile attack on Druzhkivka and hit the administrative building of an industrial enterprise and two S-300 missiles on Lyman.

Spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhii Cherevatyi, reported that since the beginning of the day, russian troops shelled Bakhmut 125 times.

The day before, at 11:25 pm, russians launched a missile attack on Druzhkivka, hitting the administrative building of an industrial enterprise. Kramatorsk also suffered a rocket attack, 1 person was injured, an outpatient clinic destroyed and 8 buildings damaged.

Towards Volnovakha, Vuhledar and the outskirts of the community were under intense attack yesterday.

Towards Donetsk, Kurakhove and Kurakhivka were under attack and there were periodic artillery attacks in Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka. Avdiivka remains one of the hottest spots as there were attacks on the old and central parts at night. In the morning Halytsynivka of Novohrodivka community was shelled, 2 buildings were damaged.

Towards Horlivka, an administrative building in Kostiantynivka and the power grid in Mykolaivka were damaged. Enemy cluster munitions exploded in Chervone. Chasiv Yar and Soledar communities were under attack, without casualties.

Towards Lysychansk, private buildings in Lyman were damaged as a result of a missile attack, the enemy launched two S300 missiles. Torske and Zarichne of Lyman community, Zvanivka, Pereizne and Verkhnokamianske of Zvanivka community and Siversk were targeted.

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that yesterday russians killed 3 civilians: 2 in Bakhmut and 1 Novopokrovsk. Another 4 people were injured. 

Luhansk oblast

On February 25, towards Kupiansk and Lyman, russians conducted unsuccessful offensives near Bilohorivka, Dibrova, Kreminna, Nevske, Ploshchanka and Serebrianka forestry.

The enemy shelled with artillery near Bilohorivka, Dibrova, Makiivka and Nevske.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that russians are storming our positions near Bilohorivka and Kreminna. Yesterday, enemy infantry tried to do this, because the enemy’s tank offensive was repelled a few days ago and the equipment was burned. The forest area around Kreminna forces the invaders to use different tactics. The situation is stable in Svatove region.

Referring to the Luhansk RMA, in Sievierodonetsk people started receiving utility bills with exaggerated consumption rates, children in the city have to go to school once a week for assignments due to the lack of Internet during the school year. Russians postponed the restoration of the city for another 2 years.

 

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reports that enrollment to the “Offensive Guard” brigades continues in Kyiv oblast at eight administrative service centers. Volunteers can choose the unit they want to join to contribute to liberation of the occupied territories of Ukraine. People who come to administrative service centers are most often interested in conditions of military service, salaries, and social benefits.

In Kyiv and Kyiv oblast, Ukrenergo has not set any restrictions on electricity consumption, which will allow keeping the power on for residents of the regions. However, according to DTEK, some blackouts may occur as scheduled due to damage to the power grids in some power hubs.

Pryvokzalna street in Bucha, which russian troops used to march on Kyiv at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, is expected to be fully rebuilt by the end of spring. This was reported by the American non-profit organization Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) involved in restoration of Bucha. They plan to overhaul 110 buildings. The reconstruction of the city is part of the “Hope for Bucha” program.

The World Food Program will be able to provide 50% of hot meals for students of 1-4 grades in Kyiv oblast. This agreement was reached as a result of signing a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on implementation of the school meals program between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the UN World Food Program. In Kyiv oblast, 58 trial schools have been selected to launch the program. Though it is planned to provide 600 schools with hot meals from the UN in the near future.

Bucha Town Council reported that Bucha community received 100 laptops from the Ministry of Digitalization of Poland. The reconstruction is being assisted by Janusz Cieszynski, State Secretary for Digitalization of Poland, who visited Bucha in August 2022 and witnessed the extent of the community’s destruction.

A memorial plaque dedicated to the russian scientist Mikhaylo Lomonosov is being dismantled on the wall of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy building. A decision of the University’s Academic Council has been made to dismantle the plaque and move it to the Academy’s Museum. President of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Serhiy Kvit noted that Mikhaylo Lomonosov never worked at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and this plaque, installed in 1973, is misleading, according to the widespread Soviet mythology about this person.

On February 27, Kyiv will host the Art of Solidarity event dedicated to journalists and activists illegally imprisoned in the occupied Crimea. During the event, Ukrainian writers, singers and journalists will tell stories and read letters from journalists and activists unlawfully detained in the occupied peninsula, and artists will present works dedicated to political prisoners, to be sold at a charity auction.

Zhytomyr oblast

In Zhytomyr, the Crimean Tatar flag was ceremoniously raised on the 9th anniversary of resistance to the russian occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. The honor to raise the national flag was given to Ismail Suleymanov, a representative of the Crimean Tatar community of Zhytomyr oblast who fought in Popasna, Soledar and Bakhmut in 2015-2016. On February 26, 2014, at the call of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, thousands of Crimean Tatars, Ukrainians and representatives of other nationalities came to the Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to resist the russian occupation and declared the integrity of Ukraine to the world.

Modern equipment for medical rehabilitation was installed in the outpatient clinic of the Zhytomyr City Children’s Hospital. It was purchased with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) together with the Association of Ukrainian Cities as part of the Child and Youth Friendly Community initiative.

To mark the anniversary of the full-scale war, the Blue and Yellow Heart of Ukraine campaign was held in the center of Gdynia along with the opening of an exhibition by a young Zhytomyr resident, Marta Hrytsaniuk. The president of Zhytomyr’s sister city, Wojciech Szczurek, representatives of the city government, and children from Gdynia and Ukraine gathered on the central square to demonstrate the unity of peoples.

Sumy oblast

According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, on February 25, the russians shelled Shalyhine, Bilopilllia, and Svesa communities. In total, there were 36 attacks (28 mortar bombs and 8 artillery shells).

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that in the morning, the enemy shelled the border area of Sumy oblast once again. There were six hits from a 120-mm mortar in the area of Horky.

The head of the National Police of Sumy oblast Serhiy Chyzh reported that fifty policemen and 200 civilians in Sumy oblast have expressed a desire to join ‘Lyut’ police assault brigade. All applicants must be assessed and meet the physical fitness tests. One can apply to joining assault brigades at six Administrative Service Centers.

As a result of russia’s military aggression in Sumy oblast, 105 educational institutions were damaged, 32 of which were restored at the expense of the state budget reserve fund. According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, 17 educational facilities were restored at the expense of other sources (local budget, humanitarian organizations).

In educational institutions of the oblast 474 shelters were equipped, 260 panic buttons and 154 video surveillance cameras were installed, and 62 safety classes were created. Invincibility Centers have been established and equipped in 136 educational institutions in 25 communities.

In Sumy oblast, another group of fighters received combat first aid training. The students learn how to treat casualties based on MARCH protocol, complete a theoretical and two applied tests, and pass the exams in “kill-room”. Classes are run by instructors of the educational and practical course “Tactical Medicine for Ukrainians”, supported by international organizations. Several thousand soldiers of the Armed Forces, territorial defense, police and rescuers have completed the course within a year. 

Chernihiv oblast

Residents of villages in Novhorod-Siverskiy region located in the war zone received humanitarian aid from the Nizhyn community. Food was delivered there with the help of volunteer organizations. The head of Novhorod-Siverskiy regional military administration, Serhiy Serhiyenko, said that they will continue to provide people in the danger zone with everything essential.

A charity exhibition of paintings, ‘Write on the Scriptures of Your Heart,’ will be held in the Snovsk House of Culture from February 28 to March 1. As part of the ‘Masters of Snovshchyna’ project, Dmytro Shakal, together with the charity organization ‘Step Forward Ukraine Charitable Foundation,’ invites everyone to an exhibition of his paintings dedicated to a charity collection to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council, informed that the night in Nikopol region was extremely tense with 10 hours of air alert and almost two dozen strikes. The enemy was constantly shelling the city of Nikopol, Marhanets, Myrove communities with heavy artillery. In Marhanets, a private enterprise, an educational institution, a five-story building, and four other buildings were damaged. Two five-story buildings and three private houses, a restaurant, a gas pipeline, and power lines were also damaged.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Popivka, Kipovohrad oblast, a charity fair “We meet spring, we win” was held. Together, they collected 10,850 hryvnias at the fair, which will be used for the military needs. UAH 4,400 was donated to volunteers to buy weaving net materials, and the rest will be used to purchase an AUTEL EVO II quadrocopter for the 2nd battalion of the 10th GShB.

In Oleksandriia, the Kolodiia festival was held in the theater park, during which over 25 thousand hryvnias were collected for a thermal imager for the military.

Poltava oblast

Dmytro Lunin, head of Poltava RMA, reported that 15 medical institutions of Poltava oblast will receive humanitarian aid. These are four trucks with oil, flour, oatmeal, and pasta with a total weight of 70 tons. Products will be distributed among regional hospitals depending on the number of people who are in medical facilities. “Light of Hope” charity organization handed over the cargo from the World Food Program of the United Nations. 

Cherkasy oblast

Cherkasy actors held a performance in honor of their missing colleague. Their colleague and friend Yurii Miaus, like thousands of other men, went to the military commissariat on February 25 last year. He fought in the intelligence unit. Since May 19, the connection with him was lost. He is neither in the lists of prisoners nor in the lists of the dead, his relatives say. To draw attention to his missing and celebrate Yurii’s 41st birthday, the actors organized an event called “Not a show”.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The situation towards Zaporizhzhia has not significantly changed. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied borders.Yesterday, the enemy launched 101 attacks at the positions of Ukrainian defenders, using tank weapons, rocket and barrel artillery along the entire line of contact.

The occupiers shelled Chervone, Huliaipole, Charivne, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka, Bilohiria, Novoandriivka, Olhivske, Mala Tokmachka, Temyrivka, Kamianske, Stepove, and Mali Scherbaky settlements. The police received 2 reports about destruction of houses (apartments) and infrastructure objects as a result of shelling by russian military personnel.

The russian occupiers are intensifying the pressure on civilian population by conducting house searches in the temporarily captured territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast. The russians have set up a torture chamber where pro-Ukrainian citizens are held in the temporarily occupied Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Mykolaiv oblast

Yesterday, the enemy attacked the waters of the Ochakiv community and the coast of the Kutsurub community with anti-aircraft missiles. In total, occupiers attacked Mykolaiv oblast 5 times. According to Mykolaiv RMA, there are no casualties.

Two trucks of humanitarian aid from “Save the children” international organization were delivered by volunteers from Mykolaiv Business Support Center. Two hundred hygiene kits were distributed among residents of Bashtanka, Pervomaiske, Bilozirka, and Novomykolaivka.

A prayer service was held in the Mykolaiv mosque in memory of those killed by the hands of the soviet totalitarian regime and modern russian. Abmezhit Suleymanov, a member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, noted that such prayers will be held repeatedly.

Odesa oblast

On February 25, Navy units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 12 invaders and one vehicle. The Navy command reported that final losses of the enemy are being clarified.

The Kiliia community received three new powerful diesel generators for 170 kW, 27 kW, and 6.5 kW. Aid to the community is provided completely free of charge thanks to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the non-profit organization for providing aid, founded by actors Sean Penn and Anne Lee (USA). A 170 kW generator will ensure functioning of sewage stations, 27 kW generator will supply the pumping station in the SRZ district, and 6.5 kW generator will ensure pumping in the PMK microdistrict.

A charity fair in support of the Armed Forces was held in Izmail. The State Emergency Service employees and policemen took part in the event. Everyone could buy handmade goodies, drinks, souvenirs and ecological shoppers, and also take part in a winless lottery. All funds raised will go to support our military.

Graffiti dedicated to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, appeared on the wall of the beach club at the 13th station of the Great Fountain in Odesa. The inscription under the portrait says Zelensky was here.

“Bandochka Ianholiv” (Angels’ gang) is a volunteer group that has been making camouflage nets, kikimores, blankets and trench candles for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine every day since the first days of the full-scale invasion. It is coordinated civil-military cooperation officers of the 126th separate territorial defense brigade of the Odesa city. Volunteers were awarded by the military for helping the Ukrainian army.

Kherson oblast

Tonight, the russian army shelled the village of Dniprovske, Bilozerka community, using artillery. An enemy shell hit the yard of local residents. A 55-year-old man was injured.

Yesterday, russian invaders attacked Kherson oblast 78 times. Kherson city was attacked 13 times. Enemy shells hit residential buildings and the territory of the enterprise. As a result of russian aggression, 2 people were killed, and 7 were injured of varying degrees of severity.

Four Kherson medical facilities received modern medical equipment from the World Health Organization (WHO). 4 medical ventilators and 6 anesthetic machines were delivered to the city’s hospitals.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The Lutsk City Council held a meeting with a German delegation headed by Mayor of Wurzburg, Christian Schuchardt. They discussed potential cooperation in economic, tourism, social and communal areas between Lutsk and Wurzburg.

Zakarpattia oblast

During their stay in Donetsk oblast, the RMA representatives visited a combat group of compatriots, the D-30 artillery unit of the Patrol Police of Zakarpattia oblast. They handed over a reconnaissance drone and autonomous power supplies for the equipment.

Institutions of institutional care and upbringing of children in Zakarpattia oblast received humanitarian aid, namely generators, a batch of warm clothes, food, hygiene products, etc., from the Rotary Clubs of Poland and the US.

Zakarpattia sent the ninth bath-laundry complex for military personnel on the front line. For the first time in such a truck, a wood-fired bathtub was provided, which is lowered and raised using a remote control.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA reported that an exhibition Portal to War/on the Line of Fire of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade Edelveis of Ivano-Frankivsk oblast opened in Kyiv. Battle achievements and trophies of fighters are presented at the exhibition.

Lviv oblast

In Stryi region, a project was launched to support children whose parents fell in combat, whose parents are in captivity, went missing or are seriously injured. The first 300 children received quality items the day before. This project is implemented by the CF Ridnya Community Foundation, the Association Aide Médicale&Caritative France – Ukraine and the company SanAgro Ukraine. As part of the initiative, up to 8K families from all over Ukraine will receive children’s clothes from Europe.

The Zolochiv hospital received a new 160 kW generator worth over UAH 1 million from the Swiss charity Association DETI.

The Museum of Folk Architecture and Life named after Klymentii Sheptytskyi in Lviv held an artistic event NABAT: Ancient History. The NABAT project arose as a countermeasure to the “addiction syndrome” to war, as a place of memory and remembrance. The installation consists of improvised “bells”. One “bell” symbolizes one day of Ukrainian struggle since the war began. Every day, bells are added to NABAT, and this will continue until victory.

Rivne oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Richard Ibela, a representative of the American company Environmental Chemical Corporation. The construction of housing for IDPs was discussed.

The RMA reported that personnel of the pyrotechnic work group of the emergency and rescue squad of the special purpose State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Rivne oblast returned home from Kherson oblast. Pyrotechnics found and destroyed 227 ammunition of various types and calibers during a month of work.

Ternopil oblast

On the occasion of honoring the memory of military servicemen, on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of russia, the Ukrainian House hosted the awarding of Honorary Citizen of the City of Ternopil awards to the families of fallen defenders.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The city council of Khmelnytskyi reported that fighters of the Freedom battalion, fighting as part of the operational brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, received a combat jeep-banderomobile, an inverter generator, clothes and thermal underwear from the city.

The RMA reported that the Yarmolynets community installed 6 automatic sirens.

Chernivtsi oblast

The Chernivtsi RMA  reported that IDPs and vulnerable categories of the population of oblast received humanitarian aid from the Bread of Life CF and the Fight for Freedom CF. They currently give out 2,5K – 2,7K food kits every week.

 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that in Lithuania, the training of Ukrainian instructors in fire training has ended.

The German government has updated the list of aid that they will provide to Ukraine. The aid includes 9 BIBER armored bridge-builders (previously they planned to provide 6), 120K first-aid kits, instead of 100K, and 28 Zetros commercial vehicles, although 20 were originally planned. 10 winter camouflage nets were added to the list.

Lithuania collected 14 million euros on radars for Ukraine. Using these funds, 14 radars can be purchased. President Gitanas Nauseda also joined the action. “This war changed us all – it changed Ukraine, it changed Europe, it changed the whole world,” he said.

276 different goods can no longer be delivered from the US to russia and belarus. The export ban included: fans, air conditioners more expensive than $750 (wholesale), refrigerators more expensive than $750, dishwashers, microwave ovens, coffee machines, toasters, smartphones more expensive than $300, etc.

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, announced that the EU Council imposed additional sanctions against individuals and companies involved in the Wagner group. Sanctions include freezing of assets, a ban on entry and transit through EU countries, and a ban on EU citizens and companies providing them with funds.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, announced that Guatemala became the first Latin American country to join creation of the Special Tribunal for the Crimes of russia.

Prime Minister of Finland, Sanna Marin, said that Ukraine will win with the help of the West and that the country has a bright future as part of the EU and NATO, as it is ready for reforms.

Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic Yana Chernokhova visited Ukrainian military personnel being trained at one of the training grounds. During the visit, she was presented with a flag of a combat unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as appreciation for the great help that this country provides to Ukraine.

The British government allocated about 3K tickets to Eurovision 2023 for Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes due to the war and now live in the United Kingdom.

The Ukrainian-German documentary film Waking in Silence by Mila Zhluktenko and Daniel Asadi Faezi received a special award for the best short film in the Generation Kplus program at Berlinale 2023. The movie tells about the war through the eyes of Ukrainian women and children who, because of the russian war in Ukraine, were forced to find shelter in Germany.

In France, an exhibition Ukraine: Year of Unbreakable, Culture of Resistance was held on the initiative of the Embassy of Ukraine in France in partnership with the Embassy of Canada in France and Grand Palais Immersif.

On February 24, over 5K people took to the streets of Krakow to honor the memory of those who fell in the war in Ukraine. The city government, Krakow foundations and organizations, as well as informal unions joined the organization.
