Russia launched more than 100 missiles during another massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine.
According to preliminary information, the russian army used 29 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and 71 air and sea-based cruise missiles. 61x cruise missiles were destroyed by Ukrainian Air Force. In addition, russian military carried out 12 airstrikes, 2 of which were carried out by Shahed-136 UAVs on civil infrastructure.
The russian army launched more than 20 attacks from MLRS.
The threat of strikes by russian against civilian targets remains high throughout Ukraine.
The russian army, despite significant losses, does not give up its intention to enter the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. According to the Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, russia plunged Ukraine with a massive strike of 106 missiles. Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down 61 guided missiles. “From 9.50 pm February 09 until 12:00 February 10, the enemy launched 71 missiles (X-101/X-555-43, Kalibr – 28), as well as 35 S-300 missiles. Pursuant to the Geneva convention and the international humanitarian law, Ukraine managed to return 61 bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers. In total, Ukraine managed to return the bodies of 888 Ukrainian defenders.
According to the spokesman of the Air Defense Forces Yurii Ihnat, during the massive air strike, 2 russian missiles passed the borders of Moldova and Hungary. Ukrainian radio locators detected this. Ukrainian air defense forces are awaiting for the records of international partners.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
Yesterday, the invaders continued shelling with mortars and artillery settlements of Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Kupiansk districts. Specifically, about 10 settlements were under enemy attack.
In Dvorichna and Kupiansk, several private residential buildings were destroyed by shelling.
The enemy fired at Kharkiv district with artillery and mortars. Krasne and Vesele came under attack. There were 14 mortar attacks in Bohodukhiv district. Chervona Zoria and Udy were targeted.
After 11 pm, the invaders fired S-300 missiles at Borova village in Izium region. They hit the roadway and a private building – no casualties.
At 4 am, the enemy launched rocket attacks, preliminary with S-300 missiles, on Kharkiv and the region. Critical and infrastructure facilities were targeted. Fires broke out, which rescuers managed to quickly extinguish. However, some areas of the city remain without electricity. Specialists are working to eliminate the consequences of the strikes. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that as a result of the last enemy attack at about 10:30 am in Kharkiv district, 8 people were injured. Two of them are in serious condition.
The shelling left 150K residents without electricity in Kharkiv, and the subway extended the interval of trains’ arrival. As a result of the blackout, there are interruptions in suburban traffic, with trains running late and changing routes.
Donetsk oblast
At night, Donetsk oblast suffered numerous rocket attacks: an enterprise and an apartment building were damaged in Sloviansk, 2 people injured and a building destroyed in Novohrodivka, industrial premises and a heating main damaged in Kostiantynivka and an enterprise building damaged in Kurakhove.
Referring to the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, towards Volnovakha, Vuhledar is under constant fire. A building in Bohoiavlenka was damaged.
Towards Donetsk, a 3-storey building in Krasnohorivka was damaged and Marinka was attacked. At night and in the morning Avdiivka was shelled with Grad multiple rocket launchers – no casualties.
Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, said that towards Horlivka, 3 people were injured and 3 buildings damaged in Bakhmut. One person was injured in Predtechyne of Kostiantynivka community. In Pivnichne of Toretsk community, outbuildings and an administrative building were damaged. In Soledar community, a 5-storey building in Paraskoviivka was damaged and 3 private buildings in Vasiukivka destroyed.

Luhansk oblast
Russians launch most of the attacks from the direction of Kreminna. They are shelling the positions of Ukrainian defenders with large caliber weapons and engaging tanks in the offensive.
Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, informed that towards Bilohorivka, over the past few days, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two ammunition depots of the invaders.
According to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, for several months now, in the occupied part of Luhansk oblast, Russians have been gradually making civilians leave hospitals, discharging those who have recovered and not accepting new ones because a significant part of medical institutions has already been converted into military hospitals.
School students in Luhansk are “painting the victory” of Russia and competing for the right to sit at the “hero’s desk.” Agitation for the ruling party has been officially allowed there. A seminar on working with unmanned aerial vehicles is also organized.

Kyiv oblast
The head of KCSA Serhiy Popko said that during a massive missile attack, air defense forces downed 10 russian missiles over Kyiv. In the Holosiivskyi district, missile fragments damaged two cars, a house, and power lines.
Due to power outages in parts of the railroad caused by the russian attack, 11 Ukrzaliznytsia trains were delayed. 450 passengers of the Kyiv-Kramatorsk train were transferred to sleeping train cars, which continued their journey under diesel power. Ukrzaliznytsia reported that passengers who missed their trains due air strikes and air raids will be put on the next train of the same destination.
Deputy Minister Mary Akopian and Chargé d’Affaires of Canada to Ukraine Ashley Mulroney discussed aspects of Ukrainian-Canadian cooperation related to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Kyiv City State Administration reported that more than 90% of the capital’s water pump rooms can be quickly connected to generators in the event of a prolonged absence of water supply. At the Central Railway Station in Kyiv, visitors can send a valentine to Ukrainian defenders. The stand with valentine’s cards is located near the Fortress of Fortitude. The cards can be signed until February 12, and the next day they will be handed over to volunteers for delivery to the frontline.
Zhytomyr oblast
Zhytomyroblenergo reported that due to the threat of a missile strike on energy infrastructure facilities and to preserve power equipment, Zhytomyr oblast has been subjected to a preventive power outage from the oblast’s high-voltage power supply centers.
In Zhytomyr, there is a volunteer center staffed by IDPs. Having gone through the same experience themselves, they now help other internally displaced persons to settle in a new place. The volunteer center for mutual assistance has existed since the first days of the full-scale invasion. It also provides assistance to families with many children and families having children or adults with disabilities.
334 pillows, 110 balaclavas, 53 pairs of work gloves were sown for the defenders in 4 days by volunteers of the Zhytomyr branch of the charity organization “Care for the Elderly in Ukraine”. The aid will be sent to the front to the third battalion of the 14th Brigade. Some of the sewn pillows were sent to a hospital in the oblast.
Sumy oblast
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy shelled 7 territorial communities in Sumy oblast: Bilopillia, Yunakivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Znob-Novhorodske, Hlukhiv, and Shalyhine. According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, in total, there were 97 incoming shells. Also, a drone was used to drop 5 explosive devices.
A local resident was injured as a result of mortar shelling of a village in Yunakivka community. Private houses and outbuildings in Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Esman, and Znob-Novhorodske communities were damaged.
Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that recruitment of volunteers to “Offensive Guard” assault brigades continues in Sumy oblast. 6 Administrative Service Centers are working to accept applications from volunteers. Residents of Sumy oblast – police officers, athletes, students, artists, waiters, etc. – are eager to join the “Offensive Guard” and ready to defend Ukraine as members of one of the assault brigades.
Volunteers of the Sumy branch of “SpivDiya” summarized the results of their work – they distributed 4,928 food parcels, hygiene kits and children’s goods to the residents of Sumy oblast. Currently, the hub offers a psychological counseling service, an online legal service, and Humanitarian Aid. The SpilDiya platform combines civic and government initiatives.
The opening of the Safety Classroom at Khmelivka Secondary School had to be held in a shelter due to air raid alert. According to the SES, the air raid did not prevent the rescuers and their rescue dogs Toto and Teri from communicating with the kids and delivering a productive safety lesson.
Charity art marathon “We Will Stand. We will help. We will win” started at the Sumy Regional Art Museum. Teachers and students of the art school presented more than 40 artworks for charity sale. Also, it is also planned to hold 10 workshops on making about a hundred products with Ukrainian amulet symbols. All funds raised during the event will be donated to the Ukrainian army.
Chernihiv oblast
According to the Chernihiv border guard detachment, yesterday, the russians shelled Semenivka community twice with 120-mm mortars. There were 26 incoming shells. The enemy opened mortar fire in the area of Senkivka village, Horodnya community, and also dropped a munition from an UAV near the village of Hai, Novhorod-Siverskyi community.
The “North” Operational Command reported that the enemy continues shelling the border settlements of Chernihiv oblast from the territory of the russian federation. There were 14 mortar bombs fired in the area of Senkivka village of Horodnya community. There were no casualties among military personnel or equipment.
The first reserve-officer training department in the oblast is to be created at the National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic”. According to the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, after licensing, the Chernihiv university will be able to train personnel for the maintenance and use of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Another 36 streets and alleys are to be renamed in Chernihiv. This was discussed at a meeting of the commission on urban toponymy, protection and preservation of the city’s historical and cultural environment. Students and teachers of the Irzhavets Lyceum make trench candles and weave camouflage nets for the Ukrainian military during breaks and labor training. 280 trench candles have already been sent to the frontline. A poetry collection “Poems Born from War” written by former city defender Valeriy Vovk was presented at Chernihiv school №12. The occupiers shelled 87 times populated areas in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The police received 15 reports about the destruction of houses (apartments) and infrastructure objects as a result of shelling by russian military personnel. Private houses and warehouses were damaged. There are no casualties or injuries.
The russian invaders set up a mobile crematorium on the territory of the Prydniprovska Biotes enterprise in t Tokmak to hide the number of dead occupiers. Local residents complain of a constant corpse stench in the southeastern part of the city, especially at night.
The russian occupiers brought mercenaries from the so-called “Wagner” PMK in order to replenish the losses to the village of Myrne, Zaporizhzhia oblast. The mercenaries were recruited from among the prisoners.
Mykolaiv oblast

On February 9, the “Mykolayivoblenergo” brigade car blew up during the works in the Snigurivka community. The explosive device damaged the cab of the car. The driver of the car was injured as a result of the explosion and died in the hospital. Other specialists received concussions and minor injuries.
Odesa oblast
The enemy carried out a massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine from strategic aircraft and cruise missile carriers. According to the Odesa RMA, Odesa air defense units shot down 13 missiles over the region.
The enemy fleet in the Black Sea consists of 3 missile carriers, including 1 submarine. The total volley of Kalibres can be up to 20 missiles.
Kherson oblast
The enemy shelled a high-rise building, where there were peaceful Kherson residents. The blast wave and shell fragments shattered windows in the apartments, walls and several balconies were also damaged. An elderly woman from Kherson was injured due to russian shelling. The woman is in serious condition, doctors are fighting for her life.
Yesterday, February 09, the russian occupiers shelled Kherson oblast 54 times. As a result of the russian aggression, 1 person died, 3 residents received injuries of varying degrees of severity. The army of the russian federation attacked the settlements of the Kherson and Beryslav regions with MLRS, artillery, mortars, tanks and UAVs. Warehouses and premises of the farm were damaged. The police opened 33 criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes committed by the russian army in Kherson oblast. The russian invaders are trying to carry out passporting of the local population in Zaliznyi Port, temporarily occupied territory of Kherson oblast. Kherson oblast received a large batch of generators from the United Arab Emirates. 196 low-power generators were handed over to the territorial communities of Kherson oblast. The RMA reported that since the war began, Ternopil oblast has received over 150K citizens from various oblasts of the country. Most of them still remain in the oblast.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Head of the RMA, Serhii Hamalii, announced that according to preliminary information, our air defense forces shot down 1 cruise missile and 1 shahid in Khmelnytskyi oblast. But there is a hit on the object of critical infrastructure of the Khmelnytskyi community. The fire was extinguished, there were no injuries. Material damages are calculated.
Chernivtsi oblast
In the RMA a meeting with president of the Romanian CF Scheherazade Vajiha Haris twas held. She handed over humanitarian aid, namely,generators and radiators in the amount of about $1.5 million, for Bukovyna.
The RMA reported that the Toporiv community received a fire truck, heaters, stoves, tents, food and blankets from the NGO ROTARY CLUB OF CHERNIVTSI. Also, local rescuers received special clothing from the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Chernivtsi oblast.
