Towards  Kherson, the civil infrastructure of Antonivka, Kherson oblast, and the city of Kherson were once again affected by russian shelling. There are casualties among civilians.

Due to significant losses of personnel, there is an increase in the number of desertions of russian servicemen and their leaving combat positions in Luhansk oblast. In order to maintain control over the situation, the russian military leadership increased the number of patrols to detain and return deserters to units.

Units of rocket troops and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit the control post, 6 buildups of enemy manpower and military equipment, an ammunition warehouse, as well as another important military target.

Head of Kupiansk City Military Administration, Andrii Biesiedin, informed that the invaders destroyed the city by almost 30%. The invaders shell the Kupiansk community every day, the city functions in both, stable and difficult modes. Biesiedin associates this to the close distance to the front line.

The works on conservation of the Council House in Kharkiv destroyed by rocket attacks continue, they will be done in several stages. According to Head of the RMA, Oleh Syniehubov, the invaders launched 13 missile strikes on the Council House.

The territories of Kharkiv oblast near the border with russia and the contact line continue to suffer from enemy shelling. The Kupiansk region suffers the most. Settlements of Chuhuiv and Kharkiv regions were also under enemy attacks yesterday.

As a result of hostile shelling in Dvorichna and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi settlements of the Kupiansk region, residential buildings were damaged and fires broke out. Fortunately, there were no casualties despite all the enemy’s attempts to deal more damage.

Mine clearance continues. Pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service defused 43 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

According to the General Staff, russia lost 620 soldiers in one day, most of them towards Bakhmut and Lyman. Since February 24, the total losses of russian federation are more than 103K. Defence Forces repelled enemy attacks near eight settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

Referring to British intelligence, russia has sent units of the First Guards Tank Forces to belarus for training. They also noted that over the past 48 hours the fighting has been concentrated around Bakhmut of Donetsk oblast and near Svatove in Luhansk oblast.

Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhii Cherevatyi, said that since the beginning of the day russian troops shelled Bakhmut 175 times with artillery, multiple rocket launchers and tanks. Ukrainian troops eliminated 77 russian servicemen and injured 125 near Bakhmut.

Luhansk oblast

Yesterday, Defense Forces units repelled enemy attacks in Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka. Towards Kupiansk and Lyman. The enemy shelled Dibrova, Kolomyichykha, Novoselivske, Ploshchanka and Stelmakhivka with tanks, barrel and rocket artillery. Aviation of the Defence Forces hit buildups of the invaders

According to Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, heavy hostilities continue near Kreminna. The occupation troops are bringing a huge amount of reserves and equipment there. Militants are dying there by the hundreds. They understand that in case of losing Kreminna the entire russian defense line in Luhansk oblast will be broken. According to him, success is on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Kreminna is a strategic settlement in the defense of russian troops because in case of defeat, their group will be divided into two parts. Russians occupied all the forest belts and mined everything around them. Most of the mining took place remotely, so they do not even have a map of mines. The situation in Bilohorivka is difficult. After many hours of artillery shelling, 10-20 invaders regularly try to go on the offensive there, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine repel all these intentions.

Five farmers from the recently de-occupied Makiivka and Nevske settlements have already received UAH 327K of irrevocable state support.

According to the Luhansk RMA, the wounded russians are brought to the Pervomaiske Lyceum, where they have another hospital. The occupiers associate the unprofitability of the mines only with a decrease in production by half. In Rubizhne you can get a salary exclusively for collaboration activities – others have to survive. According to the results of this year, coal production in the occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts decreased by 42 %, that is, actually by half.

The Kreminna community will be provided with a mobile outpatient clinic that will provide medical services in the de-occupied territory. A therapist, a cardiologist, a surgeon, a gynecologist, and a dentist will be working there. The outpatient clinic is equipped with all necessary equipment. The community’s doctors are ready to work at home in Kreminna, when the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberate it. There are about 50 doctors, 170 nurses, nurses and other medical staff.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

According to the National Police, the occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the area of 15 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. There were 8 reports of the destruction of civilian houses and infrastructure as a result of shelling by the russian military. In Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia oblast, russian invaders intensified administrative and police measures. The servicemen, together with local collaborators, are searching for patriotic Ukrainian citizens, conducting checks of personal laptops, and phones, and searching houses.

Head of the Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Starukh informed that over the past week, russian occupants carried out 590 attacks on the territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast, destroying 150 objects. Some critical infrastructure facilities were restored immediately, and the power supply was restored on the day of the attacks. But some facilities require quite a long time to restore. For example, it can take 4–6 months to order a powerful transformer, even if there are enough financial resources.

Mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov stated that the occupiers deprived the residents of the temporarily occupied territories of the last opportunity to receive quality medical care. According to him, only wounded russian soldiers are accommodated in all hospitals. Also, the invaders do not allow inhabitants to evacuate from the occupied territory. Thus, currently, the nearest hospitals that provide medical care are located only in Crimea. However, the opportunities for civilians from other occupied territories to receive it are severely limited, as the prescriptions issued in the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia oblast are not valid there, assistance is provided only if they have russian medical insurance, which can be obtained only with a russian passport.

The occupiers are preparing the expulsion of residents of the occupied Enerhodar to Crimea, the National Resistance Center stated. According to them, the russians deliberately initiate humanitarian crises in the temporarily occupied territories, removing state institutions from there, and closing hospitals and pharmacies to make life unbearable for the locals. Instead, residents are offered to leave and promised monetary compensation. In fact, the russians aim to change the demographic composition of the population, as well as to create a propaganda picture of those who “run away from Ukraine”, explains the National Resistance Center.

Mykolaiv oblast

The head of the RMA Vitaliy Kim said that the russians carried out artillery strikes on the water area of the Ochakiv community. In total, according to the Mykolaiv RMA, 14,439 civilian objects have been partially or completely damaged since the beginning of the russian invasion in Mykolaiv oblast.

Head of the regional police Serhiy Shaykhet said that in Koblevo, a storm had driven a sea mine to the shore, and it exploded. This is not the first sea mine to explode in Koblevo. In July, Head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration Vitaliy Kim reported that two people exploded on a sea mine on one of the beaches of the village. After the start of the full-scale invasion, drifting mines were repeatedly defused by the Ukrainian military; they were found in the Bosporus Strait, off the coast of Bulgaria and Romania.

The bodies of 7 people were exhumed by law enforcement officers on the liberated territory. According to the National Police, the police exhumed the bodies of civilians, which were sent for forensic examination, and after establishing the final cause of death were returned to relatives for reburial. It is preliminarily known that a russian missile hits the yard of an 82-year-old woman, who was killed by multiple mine-blast injuries. Because of the occupation of the village, relatives buried their relatives among the trees in the garden right on the territory of the household. Also, in the garden of a private house in the village of Vavilove, law enforcement officers found the burial of another 64-year-old local resident, who died due to illness, and relatives buried her on their own on the territory of the household. They exhumed a local resident who died due to enemy shelling in the village of Lyubomyryivka. His wife buried him in the yard. After the examination, the body will be returned to the relatives for reburial according to all customs.

During 2022, agrarians of Mykolaiv oblast harvested about two million tons of grain and leguminous crops, which is almost twice less than last year, said First Deputy Head of Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration Heorhii Reshetilov. According to him, the main reason for such a drop is the shelling of russian troops and the occupation of certain territories during the harvesting campaign. He also noted that the sowing campaign in the oblast was disrupted by 30%. In some farms, the fields are strewn with ammunition and mines, so it is impossible to prepare them for cultivation.

Mykolaiv received 15 generators under the Strengthening Public Trust project, implemented with the support of the United States Agency for International Development. This was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council. It is noted that 8 generators received heating points, and 7 – Mykolaivoblteploenerho to provide water supply in the event of a power outage.

Odesa oblast

According to the Ukrainian Navy, as of December 26, up to ten enemy ships were on combat duty in the Black Sea. Among them are three Kalibr missile carriers with a total salvo of up to sixteen missiles. The spokesman of the RMA Serhiy Bratchuk stressed that russia is particularly interested in Odesa oblast, so the attacks will continue from many directions.

The Security Service of Ukraine identified and blocked the assets of representatives of pro-Kremlin corporations involved in financing the war against Ukraine. Together with the detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security, the SSU established the location of underground warehouses in several seaports, where more than 160 thousand tons of Ukrainian iron ore were stored. This was reported by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine. The total value of the seized minerals is almost UAH 2 billion. It has been established that the found batch of iron ore belongs to the company of russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov, who is sanctioned by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the United States, and the European Union. According to operational information, representatives of the aggressor country tried to illegally transport the hidden raw materials by sea to the territory of russia. After that, the minerals were planned to be transferred to the needs of the metallurgical industry and the military-industrial complex of russia to meet the needs of russian occupation groups. According to the SSU materials, the seized property was arrested and the issue of its transfer to the National Agency for finding, tracing and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes is being decided.

During 2 days 9 vessels with 390 thousand tons of agricultural products for Africa, Asia, and Europe left the ports of Odesa. Among them are bulk carriers with 68 thousand tons of wheat for Egypt and Indonesia, as well as a tanker with 45 thousand tons of oil for India. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority. Ports also load more than 860 thousand tons of agricultural products on 24 ships. The next step is to wait for the inspection of the Joint Coordination Center. Today, 95 vessels are awaiting inspection in the Bosporus, some of them have been waiting in Turkish waters for more than a month. “This is the result of purposeful actions of the russian delegation aimed at slowing down the inspection process. First, they reduced the number of inspection teams to 3, now they have started to delay the time of inspections. Representatives of the russian federation began to check even indicators that are not provided for in the documents of the Joint Coordination Center and have nothing to do with the subject of the inspection (for example, whether the ship’s units are working well, how much fuel, etc.) With this algorithm, the inspection of one vessel takes from 4 hours. This is unproductive and contributes to the increase of the queue. The increase in the queue means a decrease in the volume of exports of agricultural products from ports and millions of losses for cargo owners due to downtime,” said Yuriy Vaskov, Deputy Minister of Development of Communities, Territories, and Infrastructure.

Kherson oblast

Yaroslav Yanushevych, the head of the Regional Military Administration, informed that russian occupiers shelled the territory of Kherson oblast 40 times. They fired from artillery, MLRS, mortars, and tanks. The enemy attacked Kherson city 11 times. They hit a factory, and private and apartment buildings. Yesterday, one person was wounded due to russian shelling. On December 24, russians shelled the market in the center of Kherson. As a result of these attacks by the russian occupiers of the city, 10 people were killed and 68 wounded. Also, the SES noted that over the past day in Kherson oblast, 6 fires were eliminated as a result of enemy shelling.

In addition, russian troops shelled 41 buildings of educational institutions, 7 health care facilities, and 708 residential buildings.

According to the Kherson Regional State Administration, humanitarian aid from Crucea Roșie Vrancea (Romanian Red Cross Branch) arrived in Kherson oblast. Two powerful 225 kW generators were delivered, which will ensure the uninterrupted operation of medical institutions in Kherson.
