What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm: 

The enemy launched 2 missile strikes on the civilian infrastructure of  Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv oblasts, and carried out over 20 MLRS attacks.

Ukraine is still under the threat of the enemy launching air and missile strikes on civilian infrastructure.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation has not changed significantly. No signs of forming enemy offensive groups have been detected.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy shelled the areas of Seredyna-Buda and Riasne settlements, Sumy oblast, as well as Strelecha, Staritsa, Ambarne, Vilkhuvatka, Dvorichna and Krasne, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, the areas of the settlements of Kupiansk, Kislivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Berestov, Kharkiv oblast and Stelmakhivka and Miasozharivka, Luhansk oblast were shelled with tanks and the entire range of artillery.

Towards Lyman, the enemy fired from tanks and artillery at Hrekivka, Ploshanka, and Nevske, Luhansk oblast, as well as Terny, Yampolivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy fired at the positions of the Defense Forces from tanks, mortars, and rocket artillery in the areas of settlements of Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Opytne, Chasiv Yar, Druzhba, Zalizne.

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy fired from tanks and various types of artillery at almost twenty settlements, specifically Avdiivka, Nevelske, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region.

Towards Novopavlivka, the enemy shelled the areas near the settlements of Vremivka, Vuhledar, Neskuchne, and Prechistivka, Donetsk oblast with mortars, barrel, and rocket artillery.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the enemy continues to shell our positions and the civilian infrastructure of the settlements along the right bank of the Dnipro River. They shelled from tanks, mortars, barrels and rocket artillery in the areas of more than 25 settlements, specifically Plavni, Huliaipole, Dorozhnianka, Olhivske, Zaporizhzhia oblast, as well as Chornobaivka, Antonivka, Mykilske, Tokarivka, Mylove, Kherson oblast and the city of Kherson.

To replenish the losses and the units of the first army corps of the occupying forces, forced mobilization was intensified in Donetsk oblast. In the city of Horlivka, men are drafted into military service if they have the “armor” mark on their military tickets.

On December 11, up to 60 occupiers were killed and 100 wounded in the area of ​​Kadiivka settlement, Luhansk oblast following destruction of the russian personnel deployment point.

The enemy’s losses were confirmed in Zaporizhzhia oblast. In addition to elimination of the 58th army command staff in the city of Melitopol, 3 artillery installations, up to 10 units of military equipment of various types were destroyed in the areas of Enerhodar, Tokmak and Hulyaipole settlements, and about 150 enemy servicemen were wounded.

Units of missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit 2 areas of buildup of russian personnel. 

According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, one more nuclear power block was re-connected to the energy system. The ninth power block with 1K mWt capacity was connected after the overhaul. Following the russian missile strikes on November 23, it was brought out of operation. Currently, there is power ascension. 

The press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation informed that two new services for internally displaced people were added to Diia application. Now the option of changing the residential address and canceling an internally displaced person status is available online. Both services are automatic. No public employee’s assistance is required.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at least 14 settlements were under enemy attack. Yesterday Chuhuiv, Izium, Kharkiv and Kupiansk districts were under mortar and artillery fire. Towards Kupiansk, the enemy shelled Berestove, Kotliarivka, Kyslivka and Tabaivka with tanks and the whole range of artillery. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that in Kharkiv oblast, the work on launching new invincibility centres does not stop. Currently, 56 utility facilities on the basis of educational and social security institutions, defined as heating points, are ready to be re-equipped into invincibility centres.

Head of the Kyiv PLAST, a veteran of the Ukrainian Territorial Defence, Lesia Fylymonova, said that Kharkiv Plast members, chaplains and military received the Peace Light of Bethlehem. It was brought to the city by train from Kyiv. The Light arrived in Ukraine on Sunday, December 11.

At Oshchepkova Street, firefighters rescued a 49-year-old man from a fire which broke out in a five-story building. Seven people were evacuated during a fire in an electrical switchboard in a house on Kharkivski Divizii Street. State Emergency Service of Kharkiv oblast reported that there were no fires as a result of shelling yesterday.

The invaders are shelling the border settlements of the region. At night, they launched a missile attack with the S-300 system on Kupiansk. The missile hit a two-story administrative building, resulting in a fire on the area of 400 square meters. The building was completely destroyed. There were no casualties.

According to the updated data of the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care, today after 4 am, a 54 years old paramedic was injured as a result of shelling of a car, which was on its way to a call in Kupiansk. The assistance was provided on the spot. The blast wave broke the glass in the car.

Donetsk oblast

The Eastern Group of Forces Сouncillor, Serhii Cherevatyi, reported that Avdiivka and Bakhmut remain key areas of russian strikes in eastern Ukraine. The invaders are trying to counterattack in some areas using artillery and multiple rocket launchers.

Head of Kurakhove City Military Administration, Roman Padun stated that as of today, markets and all points of street trade were banned in Kurakhove community, in Hirnyk and Kurakhivka.

Kramatorsk suffered another enemy strike. Russians hit the industrial zone and the building of the Institute of Technology and Management. There is no information about casualties, but the exact consequences are yet to be established.

Yesterday evening and at night russians continued targeting civilians along the entire front line. In Volnovakha direction, Vuhledar was hit, 4 buildings were damaged. There were no casualties.

Towards Donetsk, Kurakhove community suffered the most yesterday. 2 people were killed in Hirnyk, 12 injured, 9 apartment buildings and an outbuilding damaged. The premises of an enterprise were damaged in Kurakhivka. There were also periodic shelling of Heorhiivka and Marinka. There were no casualties.

Towards Horlivka, russians were actively shelling Bakhmut. A residential building and the Youth Center were damaged. The college building completely burned down. There were isolated attacks on the outskirts of Soledar and Toretsk communities.

Towards Lysychansl, there were about 40 hits on Torske and Zarichne of Lyman community.

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that yesterday russians killed 3 civilians: 1 in Chasiv Yar and 2 in Hirnyk. 16 people were injured.

Head of the department of external and internal communications of the Passenger Company of Ukrzaliznytsia, Anastasiia Zolotarova, said that a safe stand with the Peace Light of Bethlehem was installed at the railway station in Kramatorsk.

Luhansk oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy lost up to 60 servicemen and up to 100 were injured as a result of the hit of the deployment point of russian occupiers on December 11 near Kadiivka.

Luhansk Regional Military Administration said that the situation is complex, but under control. The enemy is focusing its forces on conducting offensive actions, specifically in Bakhmut and Lyman directions. The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled enemy attacks in Bilohorivka, Chervonopopivka, Makiivka, Novoiehorivka, Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka yesterday.

Towards Kupiansk, Makiivka, Novoiehorivka, Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka were shelled with tanks and all types of artillery. In Lyman direction, the enemy shelled Bilohorivka with tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery.

The Eastern Group of Forces Сouncillor, Serhii Cherevatyi, reported that russian troops tried to counterattack in Luhansk oblast but were repelled with considerable losses.

Based on the information provided by the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, our defenders repel enemy attacks in Bilohorivka and advance in Svatove-Kreminna direction. According to him, in the occupied territories some settlements are closed for entry/exit, russians block communication/Internet. Invaders are massively moving into civilian houses in villages near the front line. In some places civilians were evicted from their homes.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The director of the Yasno company Serhii Kovalenko said that the situation with electricity in Kyiv is improving. However, restrictions make up more than a third of consumption. 40% of electricity goes to critical infrastructure.

Winter vacations in Kyiv oblast will be longer this academic year than usual – 99% of general secondary education institutions have moved the autumn vacations to the winter period. Children will rest for an average of three to four weeks.

The head of the Kyiv RMA Dmytro Kuleba said that more than 550 high-rise buildings have been restored in Kyiv oblast at the expense of the state and local budgets, as well as other sources of funding. Currently, work is ongoing in more than 250 houses.

The mayor of the capital Vitalii Klyhko said that restoration of buildings damaged by russian aggression in Obolon and Solomyansky districts is being completed. People are already returning to the house a Bohatyrska Street.

A free co-working zone for online work is opening in the Irpin Central Library. As the mayor of Irpin Oleksandr Markushin said it has 40 places for working with laptops, access to the Wi-Fi network and the possibility of recharging gadgets during a power outage in the city.

The number of fires due to explosions of gas burners increased in Kyiv. The State Emergency Service reported that 142 fires broke out and 10 people died due to this in Ukraine only yesterday.

Bucha received humanitarian aid from the German sister city of Bergisch Gladbach. As reported in the city council, two trucks brought winter clothes and shoes for the employees of the utility company, gas and diesel heat guns and 1K New Year’s gifts, which German families collected on the eve of the holidays for small Bucha residents. The city also received a Peugeot truck and a Ford passenger car, which will be used for community needs.

Zhytomyr oblast

The Zhytomyr RMA reported that 210 invincibility centres are already located at the facilities of responsible businesses in Zhytomyr oblast. They will be marked on the map, as well as the places organized by regional authorities and the State Emergency Service.

A serviceman who shot down a russian missile aimed at an energy infrastructure facility in Zhytomyr oblast was awarded the “For Merit” award. Head of the regional military administration Vitaly Bunechko presented the award to Mykhailo Semenyk. 

Over the past 10 days, the pyrotechnics of the Regional State Emergency Service destroyed 6 units of explosive objects discovered in the oblast. In all cases, the dangerous object was found by citizens when collecting firewood in forest areas or by foresters during sanitary treatment of territories.

In the regional hospital, during an open heart operation, there was an emergency power outage due to a russian missile attack. While the generator started working, Zhytomyr doctors continued the operation using rechargeable batteries. This is the second incident since the war began.

The “Ukrainian Team” volunteer headquarters handed over a batch of medicines, medical supplies and 4 generators to the 77th Brigade of the assault troops. Medicines and medical supplies were collected thanks to friends from the Netherlands.

Over 250 potato dumplings were made by students and employees of one of Zhytomyr’s kindergartens for wounded servicemen. In total, the participants of the initiative made more than a thousand dumplings for the military.

Sumy oblast

The head of the Sumy RMA Dmytro Zhivytskyi reported that russian troops have launched 38 strikes on the border of the Sumy oblast. Enemy mines and shells exploded on the territory of three communities Krasnopillia, Velika Pysarivka, and Seredyna-Budt

At night, the enemy shelled the Seredino-Buda community with artillery. 11 explosions were recorded. As a result of shelling, private and multi-apartment residential buildings and power lines were damaged in the community.

The premises of the fire department and the village club were damaged due a shelling of the Esman community. 18 attacks from self-propelled guns were made by the russians on the border village – shells exploded near the village House of Culture and in the middle of the streets. 

The restoration of the Buimer school in Trostyanets region, damaged by the mines of the russian occupiers, is ongoing. Thanks to the help of the Czech charitable foundation “Man in Trouble”, new windows were installed in the educational institution.

Family-type children’s homes of the Trostyanets community received generators from the United States Agency for International Development USAID. As reported in the Trostyanets City Hall, the generators have already been delivered to the houses where the children live.

The Trostyanets city hospital received humanitarian aid – medicines and consumables worth more than 130,000 hryvnias. Assistance was provided by the Ukrainian representative office of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Chernihiv oblast

The enemy struck again on the territory of Chernihiv oblast. Artillery shelling from self-propelled guns was recorded in the area of the southern outskirts of the village of Zalizniyi Myst in the Novhorod-Siverskyi region. There are no losses among personnel and equipment.

The head of the Chernihiv RMA Vyacheslav Chaus reported that over the past week, the enemy shelled the outskirts of 6 border settlements of the Chernihiv oblast 9 times, 41 shots were recorded.

The number of russian victims of war crimes in the village of Yagidne has increased to 352 people. As reported in the regional prosecutor’s office, during the investigation, law enforcement officers identified five more victims – the number of victims is not final, because the pre-trial investigation is ongoing. To date, 18 military personnel of the russian federation have been notified of suspicion of war crimes in Yagidny.

The Chernihiv RMA reported that 3,058 households have already been provided with free firewood in oblast. As part of the program to provide residents with fuelwood, the communities of Horodnyanka, Novhorod-Siverskyi, Snovsk and Semenivka concluded supply contracts with local logging enterprises in the amount of almost UAH 26.5 million.

The number of people stuck in elevators during power outages has increased in Chernihiv. rom one to four people were stuck in the elevators, and during emergency shutdowns – from 6 to 28 per day.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk, the occupiers again shelled Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets and Nikopol communities with heavy artillery and Grad MRLS, having fired about fifty shells.

A fire broke out in Nikopol, one car burned. A dozen residential buildings were damaged, farm buildings, several administrative buildings, a store, a truck, and power lines were also affected. As a result of the attack, a garage and a car were destroyed in Chervonohryhorivka TC. About 12 houses and farm buildings, a car, and power lines were mutilated. About 700 families were left without electricity. The enemy attacked Marhanets itself and two more villages of the community.

Marhanets was shelled twice during the day. The occupiers fired heavy artillery. The shelling damaged power grids, as a result of which more than 16K  households were without electricity. One enemy UAV “Orlan” fell in Synelnyko district.

Vinnytsia oblast

In the rehabilitation center “Harmony” within the project “Together!”  another batch of humanitarian aid for children from de-occupied Balakliia is being collected. Books, stuff toys, sweets, stationery, etc. are added to the specially formed “Boxes of Love”. In total, 100 boxes of aid will be sent to Balaklia.

In two days, the residents of Vinnytsia collected half a ton of humanitarian goods for the military, who are being treated in the hospital in Kramatorsk, Donetsk oblast. The initiator Elina Slobodianyk  told that they also handed over warm clothes and personal hygiene products.

Kirovohrad oblast

Olha Tomilenko, head of the press service of the Kirovohrad Oblast, reported that the Kirovhrad territorial defense fighters have completed a special training course in Poland under the guidance of instructors from NATO member countries. During the month, the Territorial Defense fighters studied heavy weapons, short-range combat, the specifics of conducting reconnaissance and ambushes, and passed courses of tactical shooting and rendering first aid to the wounded.

Pavlo Konopko, the first deputy head of the regional military administration, reported that the number of invincibility centres increased in the iblast.  There are currently 440 of them equipped with generators and the Internet.

Poltava oblast

The head of the institution’s library, Svitlana Boyarska, reported that Tereshky community initiated the charity event “Hand over a russian book – help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” The books are used for waste paper. The money received is given to volunteers to help the military. About a thousand books by russian authors were collected by the community’s residents in two months. 

Cherkasy oblast

According to Head of the Cherkasy State Administration Ihor Taburets, 3 drones were handed over to pyrotechnicians in Cherkasy oblast to make the demining faster and easier.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The Military Administration informed that the situation has not changed significantly over the last day. The russian enemy is focusing its main efforts on holding the occupied borders. According to the police in Zaporizhzhia oblast, russians shelled civilian infrastructure in the area of 9 settlements. There were 23 reports of destruction of civilian houses and infrastructure as a result of shelling by russian troops. They also fired two S-300 missiles on the territory of Zhovta Krucha village. The missiles hit the land near the monument to the fallen soldiers of World War II. The blast wave damaged the historical building and the house of culture. 

French President Emmanuel Macron stated that the IAEA managed to reach an agreement on withdrawal of heavy weapons from the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. He stated this before the international conference on assistance to Ukraine in Paris, but did not explain what he meant. “Our goal is to demilitarize the zone around the plant, we have already achieved the withdrawal of heavy and light weapons. Now we are discussing applied aspects,” Macron said. He also stressed that Zaporizhzhia NPP needs protection and that IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi is conducting ongoing negotiations that will protect the nuclear power plant. According to the French leader, the coming weeks will be decisive in this sense.

During the past day, civilians were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory. 74 people were evacuated, including 8 children.

Mykolaiv oblast

The head of the Military Administration Vitaliy Kim said that yesterday russian troops struck at the water area and the settlement of Ochakiv community. As a result, one person was wounded. Residential buildings were damaged and destroyed. The settlement of Kutsurubsk was also shelled. As a result, an infrastructure facility was damaged.

The UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths and UN Resident Coordinator in Ukraine Denise Brown visited Mykolaiv oblast on a working visit. This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration. The UN representatives discussed with the Head of the Regional Military Administration urgent issues of the region, liberation of the territories of the oblast, and the required assistance. Thus, Vitaliy Kim informed about mining of the de-occupied territories.

The Mayor of the city Oleksandr Senkevych informed that Mykolaiv was visited by representatives of the Danish Refugee Council. They learned how Mykolaiv is preparing for the heating season. They inspected residential buildings, hospitals, and other communal facilities that were damaged as a result of russian shelling and where construction crews sewed up windows with OSB plates and repaired roofs. Also, the representatives of the Danish Refugee Council inspected the facilities of the Municipal Enterprise Mykolaivvodokanal and Mykolaivoblteploenergo and learned how the city provides residents with drinking water.

According to the press service of the JSC Mykolaivoblenergo, the losses incurred by the russian military aggression, reach UAH 1 billion, according to the acting General Director Vadym Danylkiv. “We had a war zone. Networks near Mykolaiv, as well as near Snihurivka and other previously occupied settlements, were almost completely destroyed. Even after we make every effort to supply electricity to these settlements, we will have to restore these networks almost from scratch,” explained the head of the company. According to Danylkiv, the most critical situation in the company is with repair equipment, as 12 units of equipment were completely destroyed and almost 60 units were damaged as a result of a missile strike on the central motor depot in Mykolaiv.

The Ministry of Reintegration together with UNICEF provided winter clothes to 3Kchildren in the freed territories of Mykolaiv oblast. Large families are prioritized. According to the preliminary lists, children aged 2 to 14 years will receive clothes. The set consists of a winter jacket, sweater or sweatshirt, thermal underwear, winter and sports pants, socks, winter boots, hat, scarf and gloves. The sets are suitable for both girls and boys.

Odesa oblast

DTEK reported that power supply has been restored to all residents of Odesa oblast, but there are still emergency blackouts. The service noted that they try to provide each consumer with electricity at least for a few hours. “The situation is complicated by the accidents due to overloading of power grids. Now, 206 DTEK repair teams are working around the clock in the city and oblast to eliminate accidents. Firstly, we repair places where there are the most consumers or where there is no light for more than a day,” the statement said.

Minister of Energy Herman Haludchenko also noted that Ukraine needs international assistance due to the critical state of its infrastructure. He stated that the latest russian attacks, in particular, drone attacks on energy infrastructure facilities in Odesa oblast, as well as artillery shelling of an energy company in Kherson oblast, led to the destruction of important energy equipment. According to him, Ukraine is already receiving assistance from international partners in the form of materials and necessary equipment. At the same time, every time after new attacks, the needs increase again. Today, there is a need not only to promptly use the equipment for current restoration work, but also to form a stock of equipment that will help to quickly repair energy facilities after the next shelling, the Minister pointed out.

The port of Odesa resumed its work on December 12 after the last blackout, which occurred as a result of russian bombing. This was reported by the press secretary of the city of Odesa Commercial Harbor, Olena Giryaeva. The day before, the ports of the oblast were de-energized due to the attack of Iranian drones. Today, 8 vessels with 238.6 thousand tons of agricultural products in Asia and Europe left the ports of Odesa within the framework of the “Grain Initiative”. This was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine. Currently, 23 vessels are being processed in the ports of Odesa. They load 690K tons of Ukrainian agricultural products. In total, since August 1, 550 vessels have left with Ukrainian agricultural products, exporting 13.8 million tons of Ukrainian food to Asia, Europe and Africa.

Kherson oblast

Yaroslav Yanushevych, the Head of the Military Administration, informed that russian occupiers shelled the territory of Kherson oblast 57 times. Peaceful settlements of the oblast suffered from shelling from artillery, MLRS and mortars. Residential areas of Kherson once again came under massive enemy fire. The invaders hit a school, a stadium, medical institutions, power lines, an infrastructure facility, private and apartment buildings. There are casualties among civilians. 3 people were killed, 15 residents of the oblast received injuries of varying severity.

In the freed territory of Kherson oblast, 18 stationary and 9 mobile offices of Ukrposhta resumed their work, the Ministry of Digital Transformation reported. During the week, stationery offices resumed their work in six settlements of the region, where it is possible to receive pension payments, and buy food and essentials. In addition, six branches of the state PrivatBank resumed their work in Kherson.

In Kherson oblast, russian soldiers have been raping a woman for 4 months. Another local resident has been systematically naked and tortured since March 2022. This was reported by the Office of the General Prosecutor of Ukraine. Prosecutors are establishing new facts of sexual violence in the freed territories. Joint mobile groups of prosecutors, international experts, and psychologists are working there. More than 30 facts of torture of local residents with electric current on genitals have already been revealed. More than 100 facts of torture using electric current against local men have been established. In total, since the war began, prosecutors have recorded 154 cases of sexual violence. Six russian soldiers were served with suspicion notices. Indictments against two persons were sent to court, one person was convicted.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The community in Volyn developed a food security program with the support of U-LEAD. Now, in the Uzstiluzk community, the food security level is at 90-100%.

Over 50 enterprises from different regions of Ukraine moved to Lutsk. They all relocated due to the war.

The city cemetery will be expanded again in Lutsk. To this end, the city will buy four more plots of land.

The emergency medicine paramedic of the Volodymyr department of emergency medical care, EMA point of Lokach village, Vadym Solovei, was awarded with the medal For assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zakarpattia oblast

In the RMA, a meeting with Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Head of Ukrenergo was held. They discussed using additionally received power for the oblast.

The Zakarpattia RMA and the regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine expand cooperation. This will provide an opportunity to make support for IDPs comprehensive and systematic.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Prykarpattiaoblenergo reported that the dispatcher of Ukrenergo established the night limit for the oblast in the amount of 211.7 MW for the period from 00:00 to 07:00. The daily limit is 311 MWt.

Thanks to international support, it was possible to transfer 150 sets of uninterruptible power supply units to the administrative service centers of the oblast. This technique will save the equipment in case of voltage drop during a power outage.

The RMA reported that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the Cross of Combat Merit award to the commander 10th Mountain Assault Brigade Colonel Mykhailo Sydorenko.

Lviv oblast

The dispatcher of the power system defined the new power consumption limits for Lviv oblast. They cover the oblast’s needs by 60%.

In the RMA, a meeting with representatives of the UN Development Program and regional adviser on conflicts of the British Embassy in Ukraine Dominic-Haidn Breithveite, was held. They discussed implementing projects and programs with the support of the UN Development Program in Lviv oblast

UNDP Ukraine in partnership with the EU launched a project to restore schools in Ukraine that were damaged by rockets or blast waves. In Lviv oblast, 5 educational institutions will be renovated within the project.

The Lviv Regional Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine received mannequins for teaching cardiopulmonary resuscitation, namely one baby mannequin, one teenager and five adult mannequins, from the SMART Medical Aid Medical Fun.

Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi presented the commander of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo, Colonel Ivan Holishevskyi, with the ribbon of the For Courage and Courage. This medal was awarded to the military unit for the special combat merits of the personnel of the brigade during the protection of the territorial integrity of the state.

Rivne oblast

The city of Keloun (Canada) sent 10 generators to Rivne. The devices are designed to solve issues with power supply at social infrastructure facilities and in the Vulyk family-type children’s home.

Representatives of the Republic of Poland visited the oblast and handed over humanitarian aid, namely generators, four of them have already been transferred to the needs of the Varkovytsk community.

The Medical institution Yuvileinyi of the Rivne City Council received a new transcutaneous bilirubinometer within the framework of cooperation with USAID Ukraine.

Charitable aid, namely an ambulance, a generator and 35 boxes of medicines, arrived in Dubno from Italy from the Association of Ukrainians in Verona Malve di Ukraina. The aid will strengthen the work of the Dubno hospital.

The RMA reported that Rivne received a 100 kWt diesel generator from the French CF Protection Civile.

Ternopil oblast

In Chortkiv, the community budget for 2023 was approved. The city council reported that it decided to send UAH 2,65 million to support the military. UAH 1 million will be used to buy necessary things for defenders. UAH 1,5 million will be allocated to support servicemen of the Chortkiv community and their families. Another UAH 150K will be used for the needs of a voluntary formation that will protect critical infrastructure facilities.

300 pairs of winter shoes were sent from Ternopil to Territorial Defense units. 2.1K pairs have been sewn, and in total, plans to hand over 3K pairs of shoes to defenders.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

UAH 30 million will be spent to purchase generators in Khmelnytskyi in December. Over UAH 100 million were spent on the purchase of generators in the oblast in a few months.

The Department of State Emergency Services of the oblast reported that in the invincibility centers, emergency workers of Khmelnytskyi oblast teach how to use generators, burners and gas cylinders.

Chernivtsi oblast

In the city council of Chernivtsi a meeting with the delegation of the city of Manheim (Germany) was held. They discussed helping the city during the war.

The people of Chernivtsi received humanitarian aid from the city of Manheim (Germany). The aid includes wood-burning stoves, with the possibility of cooking, medical equipment and medical supplies.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Minister of Development Cooperation, Yuhan Forssell, announced that the Swedish government will provide an additional 600 million kroner (EUR 55.08 million) to help restore infrastructure damaged by russian attacks in Ukraine.

The US sent energy equipment worth $13 million to Ukraine. This is the first tranche, which is a part of $53 million in aid.

Canada will provide Ukraine with 50 lighting towers for the work of energy workers at night. 15 generator lighting towers with a height of eight meters have already arrived in Ukraine.

An energetic Rammstein took place in Paris. They discussed helping Ukraine in the energy sector.

President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen stated that the European Commission will allocate EUR 30 million for LED lamps for Ukrainians.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that IAEA will send permanent missions to all nuclear power plants in Ukraine.

The European Commission provided 14 large generators to hospitals in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv oblast. In addition, 800 generators will be sent to other oblasts.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Vopke Hukstra, announced that the Netherlands are willing to create a special tribunal against russia.

British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said that they are “open” to consider deployment of long-range weapons if russia continues to shell civilian areas of Ukraine.

Diia was awarded by Eurobest for achievements in the field of communications and advertising in Europe. The award shortlist included 640 creative works from candidates from 31 countries.
