It has been the 285th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6pm:   

The russian occupiers launched a barrage of missiles on civilian infrastructure throughout the territory of Ukraine, violating the norms of International Humanitarian Law, the laws and customs of war. Energy facilities in Kyiv, Vinnytsia and Odesa oblasts were hit.

According to preliminary information, over 60 of the more than 70 missiles launched on the territory of Ukraine were shot down by the air defense. The information is being clarified. 

The occupiers do not stop shelling the positions of our troops and settlements along the contact line. Aviation is actively used in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of enemy offensive groups being formed. The deadline for checking the combat readiness of the Armed Forces of the republic of belarus has been extended until December 12, to keep the troops ready for deployment.

Towards Siversk, the enemy fired mortars and barrel artillery at the settlements of Buniakyne, Oleksandrivka, Loknia and Yunakivka of Sumy oblast.

Towards Sloboda, the enemy continues to maintain its troops in the border areas of Belgorod oblast. Strilecha, Krasne, Morokhovets, Buhruvatka, Hatyshche, Bochkove, Mala Vovcha, Chuhunivka, Bolohivka and Dvorichna of Kharkiv oblast were subjected to enemy fire from mortars and barrel artillery.

The enemy is defending towards Kupiansk and Lyman. Vyshneve, Lyman Pershiy, Kislivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne settlements of Kharkiv oblast; Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk oblast and Ploshchanka, Chervonopivka, Terny, Makiivka and Vedmezhe in Donetsk oblast were fired from tanks, mortars and barrel artillery. The enemy used operational-tactical and army aviation near Kyslivka, Novoselivka, and Stelmakhivka. 

Towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka, the enemy is trying to improve its tactical position by conducting offensive actions. 26 settlements were shelled from the entire spectrum of artillery, namely Andriivka, Verkhnekamianske, Berestivka, Bilohorivka, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Kostiantynivka, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk oblast. The occupiers carried out airstrikes in the areas of Spirne, Verkhnekamianske, Opytne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske and Nevelske.

The enemy is defending towards Novopavlivka. Bohoyavlenka, Vuhledar and Zolota Nyva of Donetsk oblast were shelled. There was an airstrike near the city of Vuhledar.

The enemy is on the defensive towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. Over 30 settlements near the contact line were shelled, including Vremivka and Novopil in Donetsk region; Huliaipilske, Bilohiria, Mali Shcherbaky, Kachkarivka, Mylove, Tiahinka, Tokarivka of Kherson oblast and the city of Kherson.

Units of the russian occupation forces continue to commit illegal actions against the civilian population in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. So, in the city of Starobilsk, Luhansk oblast, mobilized servicemen of the russian occupation forces are being stationed in private houses.

In the village of Olhyne, Kakhovka region Kherson oblast, the occupiers continue to take agricultural products of local agro-enterprises to the territory of the russian federation.

Cases of robberies of private houses located in settlements along the left bank of the Dnipro River in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson oblast have become more frequent.

Due to significant losses in the units of the occupiers in Kherson oblast, there are cases of desertion.

During the current 24 hours, the Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out 5 strikes on enemy buildups of personnel, weapons and military equipment.

During the day, units of rocket forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit 2 control points, 8 personnel buildups and another important target.

The Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that the air defense forces have repulsed a barrage of missiles on Ukraine. 60 of  more than 70 enemy missiles were shot down. russia has once again proved its terrorist nature. 

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal says that as a result of 8 missile attacks, critical infrastructure facilities were hit, in Kyiv, Vinnytsia, and Odesa oblasts. Emergency power outages are being introduced in some oblasts, standard schedules are not in effect. Rescuers are working to restore power supply as soon as possible.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Referring to the report, the war crimes of russian troops in Kharkiv oblast are documented by representatives of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine. In the report, based on their records at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, they told about the disappearance, illegal detentions and exhumed from the natural cemetery in Izium. After the de-occupation of the majority of the Kharkiv oblast, mission representatives documented 34 cases of “violent disappearance and arbitrary detention” by russian armed forces during the occupation. Seven freed victims reported that they were tortured and abused during detention, including beating and sexual abuse. The victims were kept in improvised places of detention without access to sanitary facilities or sunlight and were poorly fed.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian troops shelled 17 settlements.

Deputy head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Roman Semenukha, reported on the national TV marathon that as for 5pm, during the massive russian shelling, the air defense forces managed to shot down all the missiles over Kharkiv oblast.

Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, informed that the duration of the curfew is reduced. It will be from 11pm to 5 am from now on.

The invaders continue to strike at the settlements of Kupiansk region. After 4 am, C-300 missiles hit Kupiansk civilian infrastructure. According to preliminary information of law enforcers, as a result of strikes on Kupiansk the woman was killed, detailed information is specified. As a result of the shelling, a fire occurred at the service station, the car was burning and roofs of private buildings damaged.

The invaders launched artillery strikes on the settlements of Chuhuiv, Izium and Kharkiv regions. 

A 52-year-old man in Merefa and a 66-year-old man in Donetske village, Izium region, stepped on an explosive ordnance and got injured. Both were hospitalised in medical institutions, the condition of the victims is average.

Nearly 1500 displaced persons from the region were accommodated in 12 dormitories in Kharkiv. The flow of people evacuated from the Kupiansk region and the Vovchansk community has increased.

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that russian troops actively used aircraft in Donetsk oblast and continued offensive operations towards Avdiivka and Bakhmut. 

The press service of DTEK Donetsk Grids said that towards Donetsk, emergency blackouts were introduced after a barrage of missile attacks by the russian federation. Standard schedules are currently not in force. 

Head of the Kramatorsk RMA, Oleksandr Goncharenko, announced that In Kramatorsk, in the evening, due to the lack of electricity, 370 high-rise buildings were left without heating. This happened after another missile attack on the energy structure.

Head of the Donetsk RMA, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informs that the alley of volunteers was laid in Sviatohirsk. This is the first official regional event held in the de-occupied city. It is symbolic that it took place on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day.

Towards Volnovakha, russians shelled Vuhledar and damaged at least 8 houses, without casualties.

Towards Donetsk, Kurakhove and Hostre came under fire – a kindergarten, 4 high-rise buildings and 7 private houses were damaged. In Avdiivka, there were single hits in the old and central parts of the city during the night. There was no information about the victims.

Towards Horlivka, the enemy shelled the center of Bakhmut – an administrative building, a hostel, a residential building and utility buildings were damaged. Two more houses were damaged in the Kostiantynivka community. The outskirts of the Soledar and Chasiv Yar communities were also shelled. No casualties.

Towards Lysychansk, there are again numerous shellings of Torske and Zarichne in the Lyman community. The consequences are being clarified.

According to Head of the Donetsk RMA, Pavlo Kyrylenko, russians wounded two civilians in Donetsk oblast – in Oleksiivka and Zhelanne Druhe.

Luhansk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repulsed the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of Ploshchanka and Bilohorivka. Novoselivske, Miasozharivka, Makiivka and Ploshchanka were shelled from tanks and artillery.

The Luhansk RMA announces that a Russian helicopter was destroyed near Luhansk. It is important that not only expensive equipment was destroyed, but also two experienced pilots.

Head of the Luhansk RMA Serhii Haidai informs that towards Svativ and Kreminna, the occupiers are in a dead-end defense. The situation in Bilohorivka is the most difficult – the russians are shelling the village around the clock, but they have no success. They are storming it to create a springboard for the offensive there. He noted that the russians aim to capture Bakhmut, so they are trying to occupy all the settlements between Lysychansk and Bakhmut.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

As a result of another terrorist attack, a russian missile hit an object of the region’s energy infrastructure. As reported by the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, prosecutors, investigators and experts are fixing crimes at the scene.

Head of the Kyiv RMA Oleksii Kuleba said that emergency power outages continue in the oblast. About 40% of consumers remained without electricity.

The KCSA reported that there were 10 missiles in the airspace of Kyiv. 9 of them were shot down by air defense forces. The wreckage of one of the russian missiles shot down over the Kyiv oblast was discovered by employees of the patrol police.

During an air raid, the Kyiv metro is used as a shelter by residents and guests of the capital. Therefore, as reported by the KCSA, the metro operates in a limited mode – passengers are disembarked only at those stations where there is no large crowd of people, the schedule of trains changes, which is reported at the stations. The metro does not run on ground sections for the sake of passenger safety.

Head of the Kyiv region police Andrii Nebytov said that in the village of Soshnykiv, Boryspil region, a man found a particularly dangerous tank projectile in the forest and brought it home. But the adventurer’s common sense prevailed and he reported the danger to the police. Explosive technicians transported the projectile to a temporary detonation site and destroyed it.

Medical teams will work in Irpin Points of Invincibility. The rotation of doctors was organized at the initiative of the city mayor and employees of local medical institutions.

Head of the Kyiv region police Andrii Nebytov said that Banksy’s graffiti in Kyiv oblast will be guarded by the municipal guard, the police and representatives of local law enforcement agencies. This decision was made after an attempt to steal graffiti in Hostomel.

During the power outage, the employees of the TsNAP in the Dnipro district of the capital, weave camouflage nets for the Ukrainian military. It takes at least two days to make one net of 2mx7m. So far, 5 nets have been woven. 

Zhytomyr oblast

The mayor of Zhytomyr Serhii Sukhomlyn announced that electricity was completely turned off in the city due another russian missile attack on Ukrainian infrastructure facilities. The connection to the power supply will be gradually restored, but most of the city will remain without electricity for the time being.

Zhytomyrvodokanal reported that city residents will not be left without drinking water even under the conditions of a long blackout. The city purchased diesel generators to provide water supply and drainage to about 98% of consumers. Generators for sewage pumping stations and treatment plants are also provided.

Traffic is launched on the restored bridge over the Irsha river, which was damaged by russian shelling. As reported in Ukravtodor, the bridge crossing is located on a route of national importance, connects Kyiv oblast and Zhytomyr oblast, unites five regions of the country and heads to the Ukrainian-Polish checkpoint.

Zhytomyr mayor Serhii Sukhomlin said that 2 buses loaded with aid have arrived in Zhytomyr from the Polish sister city of Plotsk. Canned food, tea, instant soups and UPSes will be delivered to the Ukrainian military and the de-occupied settlements of Ukraine.

Sumy oblast

Head of the Sumy RMA Dmytro Zhivytskyi announced that the occupiers hit the Bilopillia community 23 times with mortars. The power line was damaged.

The Velika Pysarivka community was also shelled with mortars – two hits were recorded. The enemy fired 30 shells from barrel artillery at the Nova Sloboda community.

Sumyoblenerho informed that Sumy oblast was completely left without electricity due the russian barrage of attacks on the entire territory of Ukraine. An emergency outage was implemented to prevent disruptions to the power system.

The occupiers shelled Hlynsk Hermitage in the Sumy oblast. It is the men’s monastery belonging to the moscow patriarchate. 15 projectiles from MLRS were fired at the monastery, which is located in the village of Sosnivka, Hlukhiv region. Monastery buildings were damaged and two cows were killed, three others injured.

More than 20 tons of toxic chemicals, harmful to the environment, were eliminated in Sumy oblast due to the efforts by the regional Prosecutor’s Office. 

To celebrate the International Volunteer Day and the Armed Forces Day, local government officials presented a new award – Defender of Ukraine. Hero of the city of Sumy. Sumy Mayor Oleksandr Lysenko conducted the ceremony. The award was given either for personal courage and selfless actions or for fruitful work aimed at protecting the state sovereignty and security of Ukraine. 8 townspeople were awarded, two of them posthumously.

Sumy State University handed over 20 new computers worth UAH 400K hryvnias to Kherson University. Vasyl Karpusha, Rector of Sumy State University, noted that he is proud of his colleagues from Kherson and bows his head to their resilience.

Head of the Sumy RMA Dmytro Zhivytskyi announced that the college in Lebedyn, destroyed by the occupiers in March, was restored. The facility was renovated with funds from the state budget.

Schoolchildren of the city of Trostyanets prepared gifts for defenders undergoing treatment in the Kharkiv hospital. In the packages are self-made charms, drawings with the inscription Return Alive! and sweets.

Konotop Mayor Artem Semenikhin reported that a Christmas tree will be installed in Konotop, but the city budget will not spend money on it. Local activists will set up the Christmas tree on their own initiative to please the children. “Therefore, there will be a holiday for children, but adults are not up to the holidays. We will strengthen the army,” said the mayor.

Chernihiv oblast

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that the russian military shelled the border of Chernihiv oblast. Horodnia and Koriukivka communities were under strikes.

The occupiers shelled the village of Senkivka in the Horodnia region with a mortar – 17 hits were recorded. The enemy also attacked the village of Sosnivka of the Koriukivka community. There were 15 hits from barrel artillery. Later, the russians hit Senkivka again, there were 7 mortar hits.

The Chernihiv RMA reported that during the day, units of the State Emergency Service destroyed ammunition near the village of Shestovitsa, Chernihiv region.

An exhibition dedicated to volunteer work and the people involved in it was opened in Chernihiv. In the Chernihiv Historical Museum, there were photos provided by volunteers – many of them reflect the period of the blockade of the city. Volunteers were thanked in Chernihiv. Military unit No. 3082 of the Northern Operational Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine expressed its gratitude to the people who selflessly helped them in difficult times,especially in the first days of the war. Representatives of the local administration met with the volunteers of Chernihiv oblast and presented them with awards.

Reconstruction of war-damaged buildings continues in Chernihiv. Despite the cold, infrastructure is being repaired – work has already been completed at 81 facilities. Damage to 8 power supply facilities has been completely repaired. Repair and decoration works were carried out in the local lyceum, the building of the district council, the center of social and psychological rehabilitation.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Head of the Regional Council, Mykola Lukashuk reports that  the enemy launched an airstrike on Kryvyi Rih, hitting local industrial enterprises with rockets. One employee was killed, three more injured. Now they are in hospital.

The destruction is large-scale. A fire broke out as a result of the shelling. In the Nikopol region, the Marhanets community was attacked with artillery at night.

Vinnytsia oblast

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that a russian missile hit an energy facility in Vinnytsia oblast. 

Oksana Yatsenko, director of the city’s education department, informed that more than UAH 27K was collected to buy warm clothes for teachers in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The campaign lasted for two months in 28 educational institutions of the city.  

Yuriy Borsukov, a resident of Vinnytsia, reported that over 600 trench stoves both for heating and cooking were made by Vinnytsia craftsmen within 8 months. Four people work in the evening, making up to ten stoves a day. 

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, a documentary performance about the people of Kherson “You Can’t Stay…”, based on the stories of the employees of the Kherson theater named after Kulish, who lived under russian occupation, was presented. 

Poltava oblast

According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, the anti-aircraft defense system has neutralized 10 russian missiles.

Cherkasy oblast

According to Head of the Cherkasy State Administration Ihor Taburets, the anti-aircraft defense system was on alert.  Zoia Vovk, spokeswoman of the Main Department of the National Police of the region, said that the remains of the missile fell in the field.

Rescuers and an investigative team are working on the spot.

In Cherkasy, local children and those evacuated from the war zone made New Year toys to decorate the Christmas tree near the regional philharmonic hall. The organizers of the master class stated that their project aims to provide psycho-emotional relief for children and teach them to do good.

Mariika Shemshur, a seven-year-old girl from Cherkasy, collected UAH 8K to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The girl organized a charity fair where she sold homemade pastries.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

As a result of the enemy’s rocket attack on the village of Novosofiivka, Zaporizhzhia oblast, private houses were damaged. According to preliminary information, two people were killed and three more injured (one of them is a child born in 2021).

On the night of December 5, the russian military personnel, launched a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia, using the S-300 air defense system. The car service and factory premises were damaged.

Over the past day, the occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia, Huliaipole, Dorozhnianka, Stepove, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Bilohiria, Chervone, Shcherbaky, Olhivske, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Malynivka, Zaliznychne, Pavlivka, Mali Shcherbaky. The police received 11 reports about the destruction of houses (apartments) and infrastructure objects as a result of shelling by russian military personnel.

The General Staff reported on the defeat of the enemy manpower buildup by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Yakymiv region, Zaporizhzhia oblast. The losses of the enemy are up to 30 servicemen wounded and more than 10 killed.

Mykolaiv oblast

On December 5, the enemy launched a barrage of missile attacks on the critical infrastructure of Ukraine. The Mykolaiv RMA reports that Cruise missiles were fired from 8 missile-carrying aircraft and ships in the Caspian and Black seas. Four missiles were shot down over Mykolaiv oblast.

According to Mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, due to possible missile strikes launched on the region, energy companies temporarily disconnected users from the power grid to reduce the load on the power system. 

People’s deputy of Ukraine Ihor Kopytin reported that two more Ukrainian marines from Mykolaiv were returned from russian captivity, one of whom was wounded. Currently, the military is safe at one of the bases of the Ukrainian Navy.

Anna Polianska, a veterinarian from Mykolaiv, treats and performs surgeries on pets under free programs. The woman is approached by both local residents and immigrants from Kherson oblast who left with their pets. Sponsors from Lithuania paid for about 30 sterilizations of cats and dogs of Mykolaiv residents. Local volunteers also help. Up to 10 surgeries are performed daily. 

Odesa oblast

As a result of a barrage of missiles on December 5, the energy infrastructure of Odesa oblast was damaged.  Civilian houses and infrastructure objects were damaged. Two people were injured. Currently, there is no electricity supply in Odesa and most of the communities of Odesa region.

All pumping stations and backup lines in Odesa were de-energized after the explosions on December 5. There is no water supply in the city. All municipal boiler houses of the city are stopped. Work will be resumed after the restoration of electricity and water supply.

Kherson oblast

On December 4, the russian occupiers shelled Kherson oblast 27 times. russian shells hit the houses of Kherson residents and other civilian infrastructure of the city. Two residents of Kherson oblast were killed.

Over the past two days, the police opened 28 criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes committed by the russian army in Kherson oblast. russian soldiers fired on civilians from tanks in the village of Respublikanets, Berislav region. As a result, one person was killed, another one injured.

The police received information that russian soldiers killed a local resident in the village of Muzykivka. A 48-year-old woman had a conflict with a russian soldier on the street. A day later, her fellow villagers found her body with signs of violent death near the cemetery.

A 53-year-old local resident was abducted by russian soldiers in Nyzhna Sirohozy. The occupiers had kidnapped the man before and offered cooperation, but he did not agree. His whereabouts are currently unknown.

The russian military shot civilians who were crossing the Dnipro river on a motor boat from the left to the right bank in the Korabelnyi district, Kherson. As a result, a 75-year-old woman received a gunshot wound to the chest and died.

According to available information, the enemy strengthened the administrative and police regime and introduced a curfew in the Skadovsk region, Kherson oblast. Movement between settlements is prohibited 24 hours a day and that within settlements – only during day hours.

Power supply is being restored in Kherson oblast. Villages of Komyshany and Pryozerne, Kherson region, are fully electrified. 22% of Chornobaiivka has power supply. Also, according to Head of the Kherson RMA Yaroslav Yanushevych, centralized water supply in Kherson has been restored by 70%.

Road clearing works are ongoing in Kherson oblast. Currently, specialists managed to clear 172 kilometers of state roads and 265 kilometers of local ones. An access road to the crossing over Inhulets in Arkhangelsk has also been arranged.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Residents of the Novoraisk territorial community (Kherson oblast) received humanitarian aid from Volyn, namely, medicines, 3K bricks, 2 tonnes of flour, 2.5 tonnes of bread and hygiene products for adults and children.

Ivan Bubal, originally from Volyn, was posthumously awarded with the Order For Courage. He was considered missing for a long time. Only at the beginning of July, a DNA examination confirmed his death.

Zakarpattia oblast

In the RMA, a meeting with representatives of Zakarpattiaoblenerho was held. Heads of regional military administrations, territorial communities, representatives of the National Police, the Security Service and others discussed the operation of Oblenerho.

In Uzhhorod, a street installation Let’s Bow to the Memory of Fallen Heroes will be installed. It will include photo portraits of the fallen defenders originally from Uzhhorod.

Bishop Varsonofii of Uzhgorod and Zakarpattia said that two parishes in Zakarpattia expressed their desire to hold Christmas services according to the Gregorian Calendar – December 25.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA reported that almost 6K people have visited Invincibility Centers of Ivano-Frankivsk oblast since its work began, including almost 400 people the previous day.

Lviv oblast

17 935 people crossed the state border in Lviv oblast to leave Ukraine. 18 818 people entered the country. 17 903 of them are Ukrainians.

The Lviv City Council awarded volunteers and military personnel with awards from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day and the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Among the honored volunteers is a third-grader from one of the Lviv schools.

Volunteer, paramedic, commander of the Angels of Taira unit Yuliya Paevska (Taira) received the Stanislav Vincenz award For Humanitarian Service and Contribution to Development of Regions. The award ceremony took place during the annual international forum Via Carpatia in Lviv.

Oksana Huda, a well-known volunteer and artist from Strii, presented her first exhibition My Exit from Azovstal. She dedicated this exhibition to her son Andrii Korynevich, a soldier of the Azov regiment, who had been with his military brothers at Azovstal in Mariupol since February 24.

Rivne oblast

Over 7,3 K citizens visited Invincibility Centres located in mobile and stationary points of the Regional Emergency Service.

Volunteer Irena Borovets reported that at the Ukrtelecom building, volunteers have made eight hundred camouflage nets for the military.

A memorial plaque to fallen defender Vasyl Marchuk was opened in the Zdovbytsk community. It is placed on the facade of the Myrotyn gymnasium, where the soldier studied. The hero fell on February 27 in the battles near Vasylkov, Kyiv oblast.

Ternopil oblast

The Chortkiv City Council reported that its operative headquarters purchased two generators with a total cost of UAH 48 216, donated by local residents.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

6.5K food packages weighing almost 60 tonnes were sent to Muzykivsk and Darivsk territorial communities of Kherson oblast from the humanitarian hub at the Khmelnytskyi RMA. This aid includes 20 tonnes of long-term storage products, over 3K blankets and about 3 tonnes of household chemicals, hygiene products, and baby diapers.

Chernivtsi oblast

In Chernivtsi, 900 food kits were delivered to people with special needs. Aid came from international organizations Remar Sos, Progetto Arca, and The Tree of Life.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Minister of Defense of Lithuania, Arvydas Anushauskas, announced that the country will send 155-mm ammunition for artillery to Ukraine.

The General Staff of the Czech Republic reported that training of the Ukrainian military began in the Czech Republic. By the end of the next year, it is planned to conduct 5 courses and train up to 800 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Austria transferred 21 powerful generators to Ukraine within the aid program. According to the Embassy of Ukraine in Austria, the generators were delivered to Lviv by the Austrian Red Cross.

The Radio Svoboda journalist Rikard Jozvyak reported that the European Commission presented the ninth package of sanctions against the russian federation, which concerns financial structures of the aggressor country.

The EU embargo on the supply of russian oil came into effect. The price ceiling for russian raw materials introduced by the EU, G7 and Australia also starts to take effect.

Blinken stated that the US administration is working with Congress on amendments to  recognize the russian federation as a state sponsor of terrorism.
