It has been the 409th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The enemy launched 2 missile and 34 air strikes, and fired over 36 times from multiple launch rocket systems.

There is still a high threat of launching missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive operations towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka, over 35 enemy attacks were repelled.

Towards Volyn, Polissia, Siversk and Sloboda, the operational situation remained unchanged, and no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected. The enemy fired at the settlements of Hremyach, Chernihiv oblast; Seredyno-Buda, Baranivka, Bessalivka, Volfyno, Turia, Vysoke in Sumy oblast, and Veterynarne, Vilkhivka, Ternova, Vovchansk, Karaichne and Chuhunivka in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Krokhmalne, Kindrashivka, Pishchane and Berestove in Kharkiv oblast came under enemy fire.

Towards Lyman, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the area south of Kuzmine and Verkhnekamianske over the day. Cherneschyna, Kharkiv oblast; Makiivka, Nevske, Dibrova, Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast and Yampolivka, Torske, Siversk, Spirne in Donetsk oblast came under artillery fire.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy continues to conduct offensive actions, trying to take full control of the city of Bakhmut, and fighting continues. There were some unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Bohdanivka. Defense forces repelled about 10 enemy attacks in this area of the front.  Vasiukivka, Minkivka, Zaliznianske, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Bila Hora and Druzhba in Donetsk oblast were affected by enemy shelling.

Towards Avdiivka and Marinka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Novokalynove, Sieverne, Pervomaiske and Marinka. The fiercest fighting in this sector is taking place in Marinka, where more than 10 enemy attacks were repelled. At the same time, Novokalynove, Kamianka, Stepove, Orlivka, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Netailove, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobieda and Paraskoviivka in Donetsk oblast were subjected to enemy attacks. 

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions. Novomykhailivka, Shakhtarske, Novoukrainka, Velyka Novosilka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva and Novomaiorske in Donetsk oblast were shelled.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the enemy continues to build up and fortify defensive lines and positions.  Settlements bordering the contact line were shelled. Among them are Vremivka and Novopil in Donetsk oblast; Novosilka, Olhivske, Malynivka, Chervone, Huliaipole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia oblast; Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Beryslav, Kozatske, Mykolaivka, Ivanivka, Mykilske, Dniprovske in the Kherson oblast, as well as Kherson.

russian invaders continue to suffer significant losses. In order to replenish them, the leadership of the rf armed forces decided to hold early graduations from the aggressor country’s higher military educational institutions in moscow, st. petersburg, kostroma, penza, omsk, tyumen, kazan, novosibirsk, volsk and blagoveshchensk on April 29 this year. At the same time, graduations from higher education institutions that train specialists for military units of the strategic missile forces, air and space forces, and naval forces will be held in accordance with previously planned schedules.

Aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 8 strikes on enemy buildups of manpower and equipment. An enemy reconnaissance UAV was also shot down.

Rocket and artillery units hit 2 buildups of manpower, weapons and military equipment, 1 ammunition depot, 1 air defense position and 3 enemy electronic warfare stations.


Mykola Kuleba, Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights in 2014-2021 reports that 31 children deported by russia were returned. This is the fifth rescue mission of Save Ukraine.

Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko informs that Ukraine resumes electricity exports. He noted that meeting electricity needs of Ukrainians is a priority. Electricity exports will be subject to the supply of Ukrainian consumers and may be suspended if the situation changes.

Taras Melnychuk, representative of the Ukrainian government in the parliament, says that relatives will be able to receive financial assistance in the event of a volunteer’s death or disability. A one-time financial assistance will also be paid to volunteers who provided assistance to the Armed Forces or other security forces during the defense of Ukraine and became disabled or killed while providing assistance.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

On April 8, the enemy continued to fire at the border and frontline settlements in Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk regions. In particular, Huriev Kozachok, Lukianets, Ambarne, Krasne Pershe, Dvorichna, Krokhmalne, Kindrashivka and other settlements were under enemy fire. 

A civilian man of 39 years old was killed as a result of the shelling of Borysivka village, Kharkiv district. In Dvorichna, Kupyansk district, private houses and outbuildings were damaged by shelling. 

In the village of Kucherivka, Kupiansk region, the buildings of an agricultural enterprise were damaged and a fire broke out. 

The danger of mines remains very high in the oblast. Yesterday, near Mykolaivka village, Chuhuiv region, in a field near a forest belt, an unknown explosive device exploded and injured 3 people – men aged 40 and 55, as well as a 50-year-old woman. All were hospitalized in moderate condition. 

Over the past day, the SESU bomb squad inspected 8 hectares of territory and defused 91 ordnance. 

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, says that Ukrainian defenders are reliably holding their positions on the contact line and destroying enemy manpower and equipment daily.

The Kharkiv regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that the russian army attacked a hotel and restaurant complex in Derhachy community with an X-59 missile on the night of April 8.

Viktor Tereshchenko, Head of the village community, told Suspilne Kharkiv that about at 14:20, the russian military struck Velykyi Burluk. Preliminarily, it was an S-300 missile. 4 houses were damaged. No one was wounded.

The press service of the Kharkiv regional police reported that another mine detonated during the rescue of people who had blown up on a mine on April 7 near Mykolaivka in Chkalivka community. a 51-year-old employee of the State Emergency Service suffered an explosive facial injury.

Two more civilians were injured in Kharkiv oblast as a result of an explosion. In Izium, a 53-year-old woman stepped on a “Petal” anti-personnel mine on the territory of the central cemetery. She was hospitalized with a mine-blast injury. In addition, in Slobozhanske, a man was blown up and badly injured while trying to disassemble an unknown object. Now the doctors are providing all the necessary assistance to the victims.

Oleksandr Husarov, Head of the local military administration, says that Pechenihy community received almost 50 tons of feed for chickens and pigs. The food was provided by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Residents of remote villages are ready to receive the bags by public transport. 

The Kharkiv Regional Military Administration reported that during the last week of March and the first week of April 2023, 26 children were taken to safe places in Kharkiv oblast from the frontline areas. In some cases, families are separated because adults remain in their homes.

On April 6, Radio Promin resumed broadcasting in the de-occupied Izium, Kharkiv region. This is an important step in providing access to information and entertainment for local residents.

Donetsk oblast

Towards Donetsk, there were two artillery attacks on Kurakhove and shelling of Ukrainska Selydivska community from Grads. At night, the russians fired randomly at Avdiivka and launched an airstrike on the Avdiivka Coke Plant. Towards Horlivka, Kostiantynivka came under artillery fire and S-300 missile attack, damaging 4 private houses, a business premises and a gas pipeline. Predtechyne and Novomarkove were also affected, with damaged houses. In Toretsk community, 1 house was damaged. It is known that 2 high-rise buildings and a kindergarten were damaged in Bakhmut.

Towards Lysychansk, 1 person was killed in Torske of Lyman community. In Zvanivka community, Zvanivka, Pereizne and Verkhnekamianske came under fire without casualties. In just 24 hours, russians killed 1 resident of Donetsk oblast and wounded 1 more. There is information about 3 people killed by russians earlier.

Over the past day, russians struck Kostiantynivka with artillery and S-300 missiles. Avdiyivka was shelled all night and an airstrike was carried out on the territory of the coke plant. According to the updated information of the head of the JFO Kyrylenko, 1 person was killed on April 7 as a result of russian shelling. The bodies of 3 people who had been killed earlier were exhumed in Bohorodichne.

Five people were evacuated from Bakhmut by the White Angel crew. Some of them are residents of a high-rise building that was bombed and burned by the enemy. The Donetsk regional police said that people were running out of the fire because when the occupiers hit their house, they were hiding in the basement.

The city council reported that in occupied Mariupol, according to preliminary data, russians have damaged 90% of all schools in the city – 54 educational institutions.

Local authorities managed to take all the children out, unlike in Bakhmut. There is constant shelling and the sound of explosions, and all the houses around are destroyed. 

In Kramatorsk, Donetsk oblast, the memory of those killed during the russian missile attack on April 8, 2022, was honored at the railway station. Then 61 people were killed and 121 others were injured. Among the dead are 9 children. Another 23 children were injured.

Luhansk oblast

The russians are missing a field depot with ammunition, the occupiers are populating the entire district in Lysychansk with touring musicians, and men in Starobilsk are receiving calls. 

Novoselivske, Makiivka, Nevske, Kuzmine, Dibrova and Bilohorivka came under artillery fire again yesterday. 

Oleksii Smirnov, acting head of the Luhansk regional military administration informed that the enemy spares no ammunition. It is hitting the settlements along the frontline where civilians remain and the positions of our defenders. It also attacks from the air. Only the day before yesterday they carried out three air raids. In their offensive, Smirnov added, the russians are supporting the infantry with armored vehicles. Recently, one of these attacks was choked off by the loss of a BMD. Moreover, the day before yesterday, our defenders shot down four unmanned aerial vehicles in the Lyman and Kupiansk sectors and burned down an enemy ammunition depot. The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions south of Kreminna and in the area of Serebryany forestry yesterday.

According to Oleksandr Striuk, Head of the Sievierodonetsk RMA, the majority of the population of Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk Oblast, who lived there before the full-scale invasion, left the city. He also noted that people can get to Ukraine through Latvia, Lithuania or Estonia, which is a long way.

According to the Svativ State Administration, since the beginning of April 2023, the shelling of the de-occupied settlements of Krasnorichensk territorial community has intensified. Due to the danger, local residents are called to evacuate. According to the information, the occupiers began to actively use rocket and long-range artillery and aerial bombardment. According to preliminary data, almost 60% of private houses were destroyed. These settlements are still home to 138 civilians. In March-April this year, police, volunteers, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and local authorities evacuated 10 people to safe areas, including 2 who were taken to medical facilities for injuries.

The hub in Lviv received help from Swedish residents. This week, representatives of Blågula Bilen brought a cargo of items for IDPs from Luhansk region to the humanitarian hub of the Starobilsk City Military Administration, which operates in Lviv. This Swedish organization constantly supports Ukrainian defenders, buys cars for them with donated funds and transports them to Ukraine. In addition, the community of Swedish friends also helps civilians in the affected areas and people who have moved from the temporarily occupied territories to safer places with things.

Ukrainian defenders captured the positions of russian occupiers near Kreminna in Luhansk oblast. After capturing the positions and destroying the enemies, one of the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers cut the flag of the enemy russian occupiers.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The State Energy Supervision Inspectorate reported that about 85 percent of energy infrastructure damaged by russian attacks in Kyiv oblast has been restored. It is noted that as of today, representatives of the State Energy Supervision in the oblast have taken part in the inspection of 879 damaged power grid facilities or their components.

A press conference with three Ukrainian children who were successfully returned from deportation was held in Kyiv at the Ukraine-Uninform Media Centre. Vitalii, Artem and Anastasiia shared their stories of how they were treated in russian camps. Among other things, children were not allowed to make phone calls to their parents, speak Ukrainian, were forced to listen to and learn the russian anthem for hours, threatened to be sent to a mental institution, and physically abused.

According to Andriy Nebytov, Head of the National Police of Kyiv oblast, remnants of an unexploded warhead of a russian drone were discovered near Voronkiv village, Boryspil region. EOD specialists will perform controlled disposal of the munition.

The Separate Kyiv Rifle Battalion finishes its training and is almost fully provided with equipment. The units conduct final exercises on combat training, namely, tactical drills, marksmanship and weapon handling drills, IED drills, and combat first aid. According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, the soldiers will soon be ready to perform their combat missions, as they have voluntarily joined the battalion and are motivated to train.

Starting from April 10, Kyiv will stop accepting new applications for food packages for internally displaced persons. According to the Kyiv City State Administration, the city has fully fulfilled its obligations under the state provision programme, aimed at providing food packages in cases when the city cannot ensure the normal functioning of grocery chains. During this period, more than 100 K internally displaced persons who applied to social services in Kyiv received food packages.

Zhytomyr oblast

Within the state program “eRobota” in 2023, 121 residents of Zhytomyr oblast applied for a microgrant to start or develop their businesses. According to the regional employment service, 29 applicants have received positive decisions and will be able to implement their business project at the state expense. A mandatory condition is to create new jobs. The fifth wave of applications runs from 27 March till 9 April.

Students from Korostyshiv – 14-year-old Svyatoslav Yanishevskyi and 12-year-old Zakhar Koka – made power banks for the military from used e-cigarettes. According to their parents, the boys decided to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine after one boy’s grandfather died in the war and the other’s father joined the Armed Forces. The friends are trying to help Ukrainian soldiers in any way possible by making power banks, trench candles, and energy bars.

Sumy oblast

 At night and in the morning, there were 6 attacks on Krasnopillia, Seredyno-Buda, and Velyka Pysarivska border communities from the territory of the russian federation. According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, in total, there were 32 shells fired from mortar and artillery and 14 rounds fired from the AGS.

On April 7, the russians fired 4 missiles from a helicopter at Seredyno-Buda. As a result of the shelling, a private household was damaged. In total, over the past 24 hours, the russians conducted 12 attacks on Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Seredyno-Buda, Nova Sloboda, and Esman communities. There were 125 shells recorded.

The Ukrainian Women’s Guard NGO conducted another combat first aid training for women in Sumy. Under the guidance of experienced instructors from the Sumy Medical College, the participants learned CPR and first aid in case of hemorrhage and other critical conditions. The Ukrainian Women’s Guard regularly conducts free lessons for women on first aid, psychological assistance and self-defense training.

The Sumy City Council reported that more than 6 K students of Sumy community schools now live abroad. In total, there are 29 K students in the community.

Chernihiv oblast

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that once again, the russian forces conducted an air strike on the border areas of Chernihiv oblast. On April 7, around 10:17 pm, there were 2 explosions near two settlements of Semenivka community. They were caused by two guided bombs fired from a russian Su-35 fighter jet from the territory of the russian federation. As a result of the strike, residential buildings and utilities were damaged.

According to Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, Head of the Chernihiv Military Administration, bike patrols may return to Chernihiv streets starting from May 1. According to him, this year the patrol police have received ten bicycles from law enforcement officers from Belgium as part of the Bikes for Ukraine project.

An exhibition called “February…March. Chronicles of the Occupation” has been opened in the Snovsk Historical Museum. Photos, documents, personal belongings, and weapon remnants tell the story of a difficult and heroic month of the community’s life during the war. More than two hundred exhibits were collected.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Roman Burdzhanadze, beekeeper from Sievierodonetsk, resumes his business in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. He had an apiary for more than 200 bee colonies and was engaged in beekeeping for 5 years, collecting 10 tons of honey each year.

Vinnytsia oblast

Yana Rykhlitska,​​ Vinnytsia paramedic, was posthumously awarded with the  III degree Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi. She and another paramedic were killed on March 3, 2023, during the evacuation of the wounded near Bakhmut.

The main office of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Vinnytsia oblast reported that rescuers of Vinnytsia and UNICEF Jointly carried out another campaign to teach children the rules of life safety at the mobile point in Vinnytsia. 

Kirovohrad oblast

The first patchwork exhibition called “Ukraine. Past. War. Future”was opened in the regional academic music and drama theater named after Mark Kropyvnytskyi. The organizers of the exhibition plan to transfer the works and organize an exhibition in the city of Houston.

Poltava oblast

The second master class within the Superpower for Easter campaign was held in Poltava oblast. At the art event, children together and craftswoman made keychains in the shape of Easter eggs with appropriate Ukrainian ornaments for the Ukrainian military.

A bicycle race was held in Poltava, during which UAH 33,000  was collected for a drone for an air reconnaissance unit. The event was organized by Mistohub and about 230 people took part in the bike race. 

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration reported that the number of wounded increased to two as a result of shelling in Orikhiv and Huliaipole. According to the investigation, on April 8, 2023, at about 10:30 am, the military of the aggressor state, using means of warfare prohibited by international law, attacked the cities of Orikhiv and Huliaipole, Zaporizhzhia oblast, with aircraft bombs. Two men were wounded. Outbuildings and private houses were damaged. The premises of the enterprise were partially destroyed, and the surrounding area was also damaged.

The invaders are destroying fertile land in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast. They have dug trenches that are sometimes up to 70 kilometers long, set up concrete ‘dragon teeth’ and are ‘sowing Ukrainian black soil with mines.’ In addition, the russians arrange training grounds for the mobilized right in the middle of the field.

The terrorist country has begun establishing ‘courts’ in the occupied territories of Ukraine to ‘legalize’ repression and looting. Each decision of such a court is legally null and void, and the occupiers plan to deport Ukrainians to remote areas of the russian federation to ‘serve their sentences.’

The occupiers are preparing to ‘’evacuate’ residents from the occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts to the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. In particular, there is confirmed information that in Melitopol and Skadovsk, the enemy organized a survey, during which they checked the presence of a passport and residence permit, and clarified the level of education. In addition, information is being spread that from the end of April, local residents will be forcibly evacuated to the territory of Crimea.

Mykolaiv oblast

The Mykolaiv Military District Administration reported that yesterday, at 22:51, the russians once again launched an artillery strike on the waters of the Ochakiv community. No casualties or damage were recorded during the shelling.

Over the past day, 47 civilian objects in Mykolaiv oblast came under fire, and rescue units were engaged 25 times to eliminate ordnance. In total, the rescuers seized and destroyed 66 explosive-like items.

Odesa oblast

The South Operational Command said that in the Black Sea, the russian army has replaced a surface missile carrier on duty with a submarine that can launch up to four Kalibr missiles. Currently, there are seven russian ships on combat duty in the Black Sea.

According to Pavlo Koval, CEO of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, due to daily inspections of the ‘grain corridor,’ half as many ships pass through the Bosphorus Strait. In total, Ukraine managed to export almost two million tons of milling wheat to other countries. Due to the work of joint inspection commissions, less than 3 ships pass through the Bosphorus Strait per day, while the technical capacity is 7 ships. That is, the passage of very important cargo from Ukraine is slowed down by more than 2 times.

Odesa heat engineers received important equipment from their partners: 182 units of valves of various diameters. USAID Energy Security Project assistance continues at an accelerated pace, which will now allow for more successful, efficient, and quicker repair and maintenance of heating networks during the repair campaign in preparation for the next heating season.

Kherson oblast

The Kherson Regional Military Administration said that about 65 attacks on the right-bank part of Kherson oblast by russian occupants were recorded yesterday. The hits were recorded in Kherson (Suvoriv district), Komyshany, Pryozerne, Molodizhne, Sadove, and Stepanivka. The island and left-bank coastal part of the Kherson TAC (dacha plots) was also attacked. In addition, the enemy conducted a night attack on Antonivka. There were no casualties. Civilians are being targeted, and shelling of the agricultural sector has intensified. At the same time, the rRussian army is setting up new defense lines on the left bank of the region, and plans to use the local population as a human shield.

In the evening of April 7, russian troops struck the center of Beryslav, Kherson oblast, with aircraft bombs. The attack damaged a local college. Ammunition damaged the building’s structure and roof, and there was no glass left in the windows. According to preliminary information, no one was killed or injured.

russian invaders continue to terrorize local residents in the occupied territories. In particular, in Nova Kakhovka, they started burying barrels with an unknown substance at intersections, which civilians are afraid to approach.

The occupiers have come up with a new scheme to force residents of Kherson oblast to obtain russian passports. People are promised that they will receive state housing certificates in russia.

The reserve is under threat: the occupiers have established full control over Askania Nova and started killing Red Book animals. Photos with cynical captions appeared on social media. This is yet another crime of the russian occupiers and a manifestation of their endless inhumanity and atrocity. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have responded and promised to retaliate against our enemies.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The forum “Interaction of volunteers – support of Ukraine” took place in Volyn thanks to the Stare Misto Lutsk CF. The purpose of the event was to exchange experience and establish cooperation. The event was attended by representatives of volunteer organizations from other oblasts of Ukraine and from abroad, in particular patrons from Germany, Canada and Poland.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Anthony Sequeira, Coordinator of the International Organization for Migration in the Western Region. Zakarpattia and IOM are planning to strengthen support for IDPs in the field of employment and professional retraining.

The RMA reported that Zakarpattia received 6 passenger buses from Hungarian partners to be sent to liberated oblasts of the north.

The RMA reported that the General Staff will consider applications of 22 essential enterprises of the oblast for reservation to their employees.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Vitalii Sokolovskyi, serviceman of the 102nd separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast received a valuable gift from Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, in the hospital where he is being treated.

Lviv oblast

The RMA reported that the 53rd separate rifle battalion from Lviv oblast, which is now in Bakhmut, received two combat reconnaissance and patrol vehicles and three pickup trucks.

Almost 500 sets of clothes and shoes from UNICEF were distributed to children from privileged categories in Strii region. In addition, 1.4 K backpacks with office supplies from UNICEF will be distributed to preschoolers (4-6 years old) from privileged categories and children from families who find themselves in difficult life circumstances.

In Lviv oblast, the “Support of young children in conditions of war” project is being implemented to help children who were evacuated from Zaporizhzhia. It aims to contribute to the care and rehabilitation of small children, who are brought up in children’s homes of Lviv oblast, speed up their placement in a favorable family environment, taking into account each child’s interests.

Vasyl Stehnii, military serviceman from Strii region, was awarded with the 3th degree Order “For Courage” (posthumously). The hero was killed on April 28, 2022, during a mortar shelling of a position near Bashtanka (Mykolaiv oblast).

A commemorative plaque to Ivan Barshchyk was opened in the village of Popel of the Boryslav community. The man was killed on March 23, 2022 in a battle with the russian occupiers in Zolote, Luhansk oblast. The hero was also awarded (posthumously) with the 3th Order “For Courage ”.

Rivne oblast

Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced that in the border areas of Rivne oblast, defensive lines and positions continue to be fortified.

Ternopil oblast

First-graders of Ternopil oblast will receive 1,4K backpacks with school supplies from the UNICEF Children’s Fund. First of all, the aid is for children from among IDPs, large families and socially vulnerable categories of children. The fund donated over a thousand warm blankets, which will be used in the shelters of educational institutions.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Representatives of the State Inspection of Nuclear Regulation of Ukraine, Energoatom and LLC Ukrainian Radiation Devices met in the Khmelnytsky NPP. The peculiarities of the operation of autonomous radiation control devices were discussed. Within the framework of cooperation with the IAEA and on a bilateral basis with EU countries and the US, Ukraine receives technical assistance to ensure nuclear and radiation safety and maintain emergency preparedness and response capability.

In Kamianets-Podilskyi, people voted for the transfer of the parish of the Oleksandr Nevsky Cathedral to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

NATO is preparing the Air Defender 2023 aviation exercise to test the ability to quickly deploy and use the aviation of NATO countries. 24 allied countries will take part in the exercises. About 220 aircraft of 23 types are planned to be used. This makes the Air Defender 2023 the largest air force deployment exercise since NATO was founded in 1949.

In April, NATO will conduct the world’s largest cyber security exercises in Estonia. This year, in addition to NATO CCDCOE member countries, groups from 38 countries will take part in the exercises.

Mantas Adomenas, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, stated that the NATO summit will be successful if there is clear progress on Ukraine’s integration into the Alliance.

The Washington Post reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine spend three times less shells than the army of the russian invaders. The publication notes that in a day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine release about 7,7 K projectiles per day due to economy reasons, that is, one every six seconds. The russian forces, whose capabilities are also at the limit, release three times more per day.

This comic is an English translation of the Ukrainian comic collection “The Way to Victory”, a joint project of The Will Production publishing house and Art Nation production company. He helped raise over UAH 4.5 million for drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
