It has been the 431 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:

The russian federation continues to use terror tactics. Today, the russian army launched 2 missile attacks on the cities of Kramatorsk and Kostiantynivka. Also, russian forces launched 15 air strikes and conducted about 30 MLRS attacks on Ukrainian settlements and positions of Ukrainian troops.

Ukraine is still under the threat of missile and air strikes.

The russian army continues to focus its main efforts on offensive operations towards Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Mariinka. The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled more than 20x Russian attacks on the specified directions. Bakhmut and Avdiivka remain places of fierce fights.

Ukrainian soldiers  hold the defense.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there are no signs of the formation of offensive groupings reported. Russia maintains the presence of its military contingent on the territory of Belarus.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, russia maintains an enhanced military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. Russian aircraft attacked Krasnyi Khutir, Chernihiv and oblast; and Seredyna-Buda, Sumy oblast. The air strikes damaged local houses. Mykolaivka, Halaganivka, and Leonivka, Chernihiv oblast; Seredyna-Buda, Druzhba, Bachivsk, Sumy oblast; as well as Chervona Zoria, Veterynarne, Strelecha, Hlyboke, Krasne, Vovchansk, and Loshakovo, Kharkiv oblast, came under russian mortar and artillery fire.

Towards Kupiansk, the russian army did not conduct offensive operations. The settlements of Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Dvorichna, Lyman Pershyi, Kislivka, and Berestove, Kharkiv oblast; Novoselivske, Luhansk oblast, were subject to russian artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Lyman, russian artillery bombarded various Ukrainian settlements along the front line, including Nevske, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast; Kolodiazi, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne and Rozdolivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, the russian army continues to conduct offensive operations. Fierce battle for the city of Bakhmut is ongoing. Russian military conducted unsuccessful attacks in the vicinity of Ivanovske. Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Kostiantynivka, Bila Hora, Diliivka, Sjeverne, Zalizne, Pivdenne, and New York, Donetsk oblast, came under russian fire.

Towards Avdiivka, the russian army conducted unsuccessful attacks in the vicinity of Avdiivka and Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast. Russian forces shelled Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Karlivka, Vodiane, and Pervomaiske.

Towards Marinka, the russian army continues to attack Ukrainian Defense Forces. The battle for Marinka continues. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast suffered from russian attacks.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the russian army did not conduct offensive operations. Russian forces shelled Vuhledar, Prechistivka, Novoukrainka, and Zolota Nyva, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, russian forces are on the defensive. Russian military shelled several settlements, including Vremivka, Burlatske, Novosilka, and Novopil Donetsk oblast; Olhivske, Huliaipole, Biloghirya, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, and Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia oblast; as well as the city of Kherson. The village of Kizomys, Kherson oblast suffered from air strikes.

Local hospitals of the temporarily occupied Luhansk are struggling to cope with the growing number of wounded. A team of medical workers, surgeons, recently arrived in the city from Moscow region to treat and rehabilitate russian soldiers. The official purpose of the visit is to exchange experience and help medical institutions in Luhansk.

Recently, heavy losses of the residents of Luhansk and its region who were forcibly mobilized to the russian army have been about 70 people per day. To prevent discontent among the population, ritual services are recommended to allow 6 people to funeral processions. In addition, cremation of the dead is offered instead of burial.

The Ukrainian Air Forces launched 3 air strikes against buildups of russian troops.

Ukrainian missile and artillery troops hit 4 concentrations of russian troops, weapons and military equipment, 1 ammunition depot, 2 concentrations of russian artillery and 1 logistics center of russian soldiers.

According to the spokesman of the Air Forces of Ukraine Yurii Ihnat, in the latest missile strikes, the russians used recently manufactured missiles. These missiles contain high-tech foreign components. “A cruise missile is actually an unmanned aircraft that costs millions of dollars. There are tens of thousands of high-tech parts. Russia certainly cannot produce them, that is a fact. Unfortunately, they can get them, I guess. Perhaps they have some supplies, but through third countries, through smuggling, they may get them. That is why sanction pressure on the terrorist state is needed at all levels,” noted Ignat.

Deputy Minister of Energy Farid Safarov reported that to prepare for the next heating season, Ukraine required 3.4 billion dollars. Such estimates were made jointly with the World Bank. Approximately 1.2 billion should be spent on the purchase of a certain type of resources, the rest is to restore the transmission system line, Ukrenergo line, electricity distribution system line, mostly Oblenergo, and to reconstruct generation capacities.

The chief coach of the national team Vitaliy Dubrova announced that Ukraine will not participate in the 2023 World Judo Championship due to the admission of athletes from russia and belarus. The WJF gave permission to allow the russians to participate on the last day of submission of applications for the World Championships. “We waited and hoped that common sense would prevail. Unfortunately, russian rubles won,” Dubrova noted.
