War in Ukraine today: latest news, April 10, 2023 (photo)

It has been the 411 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The enemy launched 21 air and 5 missile strikes, 4 of which were from the S-300 air defense system on the peaceful city of Kramatorsk. Also, the occupiers launched about MLRS 30 attacks on the positions of our troops and civilian infrastructure.

The russian federation continues to neglect the laws and customs of war, so there is still a high threat of launching missile and air strikes throughout the territory of Ukraine.

Despite numerous losses in equipment and manpower, the enemy does not give up waging a war of aggression. It continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive actions towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka – more than 20 enemy attacks were repelled that day.

Towards Volyn, Polissia, Siversk and Sloboda, the operational situation has not changed significantly. Certain units of the territorial troops of the armed forces of the russian federation continue to be on the territory of the republic of belarus, but no signs of forming offensive groups of the enemy have been detected.

 

The enemy continues to maintain its military presence in Kursk and Belgorod oblasts bordering Ukraine, fortifyng its positions in the area.

During the day, the enemy shelled the settlements of Hremiach and Kamianska Sloboda of Chernihiv oblast; Volfine, Andriivka, and Popivka in Sumy oblast, as well as Veterynarne, Strilecha, Hatyshche, Vovchanski Khutory, Okhrimivka, and Vilkhuvatka in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Krupiansk, Kamianka, Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Dvorichna, Vilshana, Kindrashivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove of Kharkiv oblast came under enemy fire.

Towards Lyman, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near the settlements of Makiivka, Chervopopivka, and Bilohorivka. Makiivka, Nevske, and Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast, as well as Torske, Spirne, and Berestove in Donetsk oblast were hit by artillery fire.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy continues to conduct offensive actions, trying to take full control of the city of Bakhmut, fighting continues. During the day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Bohdanivka and Khromove. Zaliznianske, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Khromove, Ivanovske, Predtechine, Chasiv Yar, Ozarianivka, Druzhba and Niu York of Donetsk oblast were affected by enemy shelling.

Towards Avdiivka and Marinka, the enemy carried out offensive actions against Avdiivka, Sieverne, Nevelske and Marinka settlements of Donetsk oblast, without success. The fiercest battles continue for Avdiivka and Marinka. At the same time, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Heorhiivka, Marinka, and Pobieda came under enemy fire.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. Settlements of Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenka and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk oblast came under shelling.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the enemy continues to conduct defensive operations, shelling, in particular, Vremivka in Donetsk oblast and Novodanylivka, Orihiv, Novoandriivka, and Kamianske in Zaporizhia oblast.

The Russian occupiers continue to strengthen the counterintelligence regime in the temporarily occupied territories. The number of roadblocks and patrols increased in Starobilsk, Luhansk oblast, and around the city.

The situation is somewhat similar in the city of Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia oblast. Fearing the leakage of information about the locations of the occupying units, the invaders began to restrict certain traffic routes to local taxi drivers.

Aviation of the Defense Forces made 8 strikes on buildups of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers. An enemy Mi-24 helicopter and 6 (2 attack, 4 reconnaissance) UAVs of various types were also shot down .

Units of rocket troops and artillery struck a buildup of manpower, weapons and military equipment, as well as the enemy’s ammunition depot.


The President’s Office reports that another exchange of prisoners took place. 100 servicemen, including soldiers, sailors, border guards, national guardsmen returned home. Among them are defenders of Mariupol, Azovstal, and Hostomel. Some people have been seriously injured and have diseases.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, announced that 24 children from Kherson oblast were returned from russia. It is known that the occupiers interrogated Ukrainian children for 13 hours and forced them to participate in a propaganda report.

Iryna Vereshchuk, Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, says that russia illegally keeps 4,396 Ukrainian orphans. Currently, the Coordinating Council for the Protection and Safety of Children is forming an international coalition, aimed to return children and punish those responsible for crimes against children.

Dmytro Razumkov, People’s Deputy, reports that the Verkhovna Rada voted in favor of the draft law, which returns UAH 30 K in allowances for the Ukrainian military. The amendment gives the right to return UAH 30 K military personnel, civil protection service, and police officers due to salary limitations for top officials. Next, this bill must be signed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and the President of Ukraine.


Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russian military continues to maintain its military presence in the border areas of Kursk and Belgorod oblasts.

The  “East” Air Command reported that air defense forces destroyed two drones on the territory of Kharkiv oblast on the night of April 10.

According to Olena Zelenska, the wife of the President of Ukraine, and Oleh Syniehubov, head of the RMA, reported that the project to build a kitchen factory in Lozova, Kharkiv oblast, was presented. They plan to provide food for students in 86 institutions in five communities. The first kitchen factory was built in Bucha, Kyiv oblast.

Maksym Strelnyk, Deputy Head of the Izyum RMA, says that doctors were able to save the legs of a resident of Kharkiv, who on April 8 was blown up on a mine at the cemetery in Izium. This is the first case in Izium when a person blew himself up in a cemetery. It is forbidden to visit all community cemeteries on holidays.

The enemy shelled the border and front-line settlements of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk regions.

In the village of Kurylivka, Krupiansk region, at least 15 private houses were damaged by shelling. A residential building was destroyed in the village of Petropavlivka.

As a result of the mortar shelling of Karaichne village, Vovchansk community, Chuhuiv region, a 36-year-old civilian man was injured and hospitalized in severe condition.

In the area of Podoly village, Krupiansk region, a forest fire broke out due to a hit from the Grad anti-aircraft missile system.

Mine danger remains high in the oblast. In Snizhkivka village, Izium region, a 38-year-old civilian man stepped on a Pelyiustka anti-personnel mine in his own garden. He was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.

Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service inspected more than 4 hectares of territory and neutralized 99 ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi said that russian forces switched to ‘Syrian’ tactics of scorched earth in Bakhmut. The day before, he visited the positions in this direction of the front and emphasized that the fighting is fierce, but the situation is under control.

According to the General Staff, the Defense Forces repelled thirty attacks and stopped the offensive of the occupying forces near Bohdanivka and Khromove near Bakhmut.

Marianna Homeriki, Spokeswoman for the Azov regiment, said that Valeriia Karpylenko, Azovstal defender, has returned from captivity, .

On April 10, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed a russian Mi-24 helicopter towards Avdiivka, as the 110th separate mechanized brigade named after Colonel-General Mark Bezruchka reported.

 Oleksii Roslov, Head of Kostiantynivka RMA, says that since the beginning of the day, the russian military has shelled Kostiantynivka twice. One person was injured.

The russians have turned Avdiivka into solid ruins. Today, the city suffered another airstrike – another high-rise building was destroyed. There were no casualties, as all residents of the building evacuated in time. In total, about 1,800 people remain in Avdiivka and all of them risk their lives every day.

Near Donetsk, the Ukrainian military destroyed a russian D20 gun position with ammunition. The fighters discovered it during an aerial reconnaissance of the area.

Oleksandr Honcharenko, Head of the RMA, informs that on the night of April 10, russian troops shelled Kramatorsk and hit a cemetery. The consequences are being established.

On April 9, the russians attacked Druzhkivka from Smerches, wounding 2 people and damaging 10 houses. The enemy also fired two S-300 missiles at Kramatorsk – without casualties.

 Towards Volnovakha, Vuhledar and Bohoiavlenka were under fire – no one was injured.

Towards Donetsk, 1 person was injured in Kurakhovo. The city was hit by Uragans, 7 two-apartment buildings and the territory of an enterprise were damaged. Another 11 houses were damaged in Dachne. Marinka, Krasnohorivka and Maksymilianivka were shelled during the day. In the morning, the russians shelled Ocheretyne and Avdiivka – a house was damaged.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of Donetsk RMA, says that the russians wounded 4 residents of Donetsk oblast: 2 in Druzhkivka, 1 in Kurakhove and 1 in Kostiantynivka.

Petro Andryushchenko, Adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, reports that residents are being evicted from the village of Mariupol region, which is next to Nikolske, in order to accommodate the russian military. Currently, seven families remain in the settlement.

Luhansk oblast

Novoselivske, Makiivka, Nevske and Bilohorivka were subjected to artillery shelling by the invaders. The enemy still has a significant advantage in the number of artillery shells. However, over the weekend, two warehouses with russian ammunition were destroyed near Lyman and Kupiansk.

The enemy continues to engage infantry, trying to find gaps in our defenses. Oleksii Smyrnov, Acting Head of the RMA, informed that the occupiers tried to conduct an unsuccessful offensive south of Dibrova. The losses that the Ukrainian army inflicts on the personnel troops of the russian federation are replenished by the russian mobilized.

Luhansk RMA reported that there are numerous cases of violent abduction of civilians the russian invaders. In Starobilsk, they search the residences of citizens suspected of supporting Ukraine and take people away in an unknown direction. And nearby, in Chmyrivka, in a kindergarten, the invaders dismantled the boiler room, the elements of which disappeared.

The RMA reports that russian occupiers are stealing stone slabs from the graves of cemeteries in Popasna region. The names and surnames of killed occupiers are being written on these plates.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

A security program is implemented in schools and kindergartens of the capital to provide reliable shelters and installation of video surveillance. As reported by the KCSA, security measures will be strengthened in more than 450 educational institutions in the capital, for which municipal and state security structures will be connected. Additional security measures are necessary due to the return of an increasing number of children to educational institutions in Kyiv and the need for their safe stay on their territory.

Demining operations continue in Kyiv oblast. The regional military administration reported on the destruction of ordnance by the units of the State Emergency Service in Bucha region.

DTEK reported that there is no shortage of electricity in the capital. According to Ukrenergo, power consumption remains at the level of a working day, which is why limits for Kyiv were not established 

 Kyiv RMA reported that curfew on Easter night will not be canceled in the oblast. Only the clergy can be in churches at this time, with limited access for the faithful. For the convenience of the public, services will be broadcast online. Parishioners will be able to visit churches after curfew.

UAH 20 million will be allocated from the local budget to support the families of the fallen defenders in Bucha community. The funds will be directed to the repair of residential buildings of soldiers’ families: replacement of roofs, installation of new windows, restoration of facades and fences. In addition, the city authorities promise to complete the installation of monuments on the graves of the fallen defenders by the memorial days.

The Books to the Front project was presented in Kyiv, which aims to collect and transfer books for Ukrainian defenders. The presentation took place at the Media Center Ukraine – Ukrinform. To participate in the campaign, you need to buy any book in the project’s partner bookstores and leave it on a special shelf. You can also include a postcard with wishes for the military and, if desired, your contacts for further correspondence in the book.

Zhytomyr oblast

The military from Zhytomyr, with the help of volunteers and benefactors, developed two of their own models of UAVs – reconnaissance and attack. According to one of the heads of the project, Yurii Biriuchenko, the developers wanted to make an analogue of the Chinese reconnaissance drone, adapted for combat operations, which would be more convenient to use and cost less than the Chinese one.

A program to provide corn and sunflower seeds and support agricultural producers from the front-line regions is ongoing in Zhytomyr oblast. 2,500 agricultural enterprises have already applied to participate in the program. It is implemented by the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO)  and funded by the Government of Japan.

Korosten RMA received a Jeep Wrangler vehicle thanks to Kaimo Kuusku, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine. The car from foreign partners will be handed over to the military, protecting Ukraine in the east.

Sumy oblast

On April 9, the russian military shelled two border communities of Sumy oblast. As reported in Sumy RMA, there were 10 hits from mortars recorded on the territory of Bilopillia community; the enemy shelled Nova Sloboda community from AGS. At night, the russians carried out 20 mortar attacks on the territory of Seredino-Buda community.

The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that two unmanned aerial vehicles, probably of Orlan-10 type, were shot down by units from the Defense Forces. It was possible to suppress the operation of another UAV in Sumy oblast with the help of EW means.

The police of Sumy oblast records and documents consequences of the russian army crimes  on the site of the recent shelling in Shostka region. According to the conclusions of police sappers, the shelling was carried out by S-8KOM missiles with a modernized warhead of enhanced fragmentation action. The russian military launched rockets that have a cumulative warhead weighing 3.6 kg and can penetrate 420 mm armor on impact at the homes of civilians.

Chernihiv oblast

Three communities of Chernihiv oblast were under enemy shelling last day. As reported by the SBGS, the enemy shelled the communities of Semenivka and Snovsk using a 120 mm mortar – a total of seven explosions were recorded. The russian military fired an air missile along the border of Novhorod-Siverskyi community.

Vyacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, announced that the enemy intensified attacks targeting Chernihiv oblast, in particular using Kh-59, air-to-surface, unguided aerial missiles and FAB-500 aerial bombs.

Over the past week, the enemy fired 24 times from the territory of Bryansk oblast at 9 settlements on the border of Chernihiv oblast. There were 244 explosions recorded. As a result of shelling, 10 villages of Novhorod-Siverskyi region were left without electricity, some – without gas, two households were destroyed, 19 private household structures were damaged, as well as civil infrastructure, including a bridge (destroyed by an airstrike), a fire station, a school and a farm.

Chernihiv RMA reported that employees of Chernihiv Oblenergo restored electricity supply to more than 900 consumers of Novhorod-Siverskyi region. Residents of settlements were without electricity due to russian shelling.

The State Emergency Service reported that over the past week, pyrotechnics of the region processed 20 applications and removed 230 ordnance. All munitions were transported in special vehicles by trained pyrotechnic specialists in compliance with safety rules to the sorting site, where they will be destroyed in the future.

The Service for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Chernihiv oblast reported that a bridge over the Desna River in Chernihiv oblast, destroyed at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation, was opened. As noted, for the first time since February 2022, it will be possible to get from Chernihiv to Kyiv by a convenient short road in two hours. Until now, drivers had to spend twice as much time detouring due to the destroyed crossings around Chernihiv.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Serhii Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, informed that the russians attacked Marhanets community three times over the day. The occupiers fired 11 artillery shots. As a result of the shelling, a residential building, an outbuilding, and a motorcycle were damaged. 

The sappers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces handed over the artifacts found during demining of Kharkiv oblast to the Dnipro Historical Museum. They will be part of the archeological collection.

Karina Bakholdina, volunteer and real estate expert from Dnipro, created the “Comeback Home” project. The idea is to unite entrepreneurs, builders, and volunteers and help the residents of Dnipropetrovsk oblast, whose houses were mutilated by enemy shelling. They decided to start the restoration in Nikopol region.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​ The Vinnytsia City Council reported that a master class for residents of Mariupol on painting the traditional Podil Easter egg was held in Vinnytsia.

Kirovohrad oblast

The Sviatoslav the Brave Regiment charity fund  handed over 50 tires for HMMWV armored vehicles and 850 Western-style weapon cleaning kits  to the units of the 3rd Separate Special Purpose Regiment named after Prince Sviatoslav the Brave.The fund received help from partners from Poland and Germany

Poltava oblast

Hadiach city council reported that a charity event “I have something in my heart that does not die!” and a charity auction were held in the city. During the event,  visitors could buy paintings, ceramics, and painted ammunition such as large-caliber cartridges. In total, they collected more than UAH 38K. 

An Easter fair of craft producers took place in Poltava. More than 2,300 people visited the fair, and UAH 21K was collected to buy military quadcopters.

Cherkasy oblast

According to Ihor Taburets, Head of the Cherkasy State Administration, Cherkasy oblast sent aid to Kherson oblast. They brought 62 tons of the most necessary products, baby food, drinking water, medicines, firewood, brush cutters, and pipes to restore the water supply. In addition, the Novovorontsovka Central Hospital received an artificial lung ventilation device. 

According to Ihor Taburets, Head of the Cherkasy State Administration, 2 cars and 2 ambulances for field hospitals were transferred from the independent humanitarian organization Bevar Ukraine from Denmark for the needs of the military.  Two four-wheel drive cars were sent to the defenders towards Vuhledar. 

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The enemy launched airstrikes on Huliaipole and Orikhiv. The enemy hit the territory of a farming enterprise and a food industry company.

Over the past two days, on April 8 and 9, russian troops carried out 124 strikes on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian military launched seven airstrikes, used unmanned aerial vehicles, artillery and MLRS. Settlements in Polohy and Vasylivka regions, as well as in Zaporizhzhia, suffered destruction.

As a result of shelling, five people were wounded to varying degrees of severity, and three more people were killed, including a child. According to preliminary data as of the morning of April 10, 89 children in Zaporizhzhia oblast have been affected by the full-scale war.

According to Zaporizhzhia RMA, yesterday the enemy carried out three airstrikes, including one using unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as 58 artillery shelling on the territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast. In addition to residential and farm buildings, a modern educational institution in a small village was destroyed.

russian occupiers continue to carry out forced passportization of the population of the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast. In the city of Tokmak the occupiers announced that to obtain a russian passport, one must submit a Ukrainian passport, a birth certificate, and take fingerprints of both hands. At the same time, it is claimed that the original Ukrainian passport and birth certificate will supposedly be returned to their owners.

In the city of Zaporizhzhia and in territorial communities that are part of Zaporizhzhia oblast, the curfew hours have been reduced from 00:00 to 05:00.

Mykolaiv oblast

On April 9, at 12:28, the enemy attacked the settlement in Kutsurub community using MLRS. According to Mykolaiv RMA, there were no casualties or damage reported.

The employees of the Mykolaiv Forest Enterprise started training on mine safety with the team from the HALO Trust, an international charitable humanitarian organization. 11K hectares out of the 22K hectares of forest are considered dangerous. 9 K hectares are located in the forests on the still-occupied Kinburn Spit.

Mykolaiv received a large shipment from the largest humanitarian hub in Ukraine – CVZ. This time, the volunteers prepared a shipment with many items that will be distributed to social infrastructure facilities in Mykolaiv oblast. There is an industrial drying machine for a military hospital, windows for the Dynamo Mykolaiv sports club, furniture for medical facilities among delivered humanitarian aid. In addition, doctors were sent special jackets and medical equipment, while patients were provided with clothing and towels. Powerful generators will be provided to Berezanka utility services to ensure the population has access to water from wells.

Odesa oblast

The night from April 9 to 10 passed relatively calmly in Odesa oblast without air raid signals and shelling. However, the threat of missile or drone strikes remains high. A naval group of eleven warships is observed in the Black Sea. The number of missile carriers has been doubled. According to the ‘South’ Operational Command, there are two submarines with 8 Kalibr missiles ready to be launched in the Black Sea.

Doctors of the Odesa Regional Children’s Hospital performed a unique operation on the heart of a 7-year-old child who was hit by a bullet. The bullet entered the cavity of the pericardium (cardiac sac) and hit the back wall of the left ventricle of the heart. The operation was successful. Now the boy is in a rehabilitation period. The child feels better.

The memory of Odesa’s liberators from the fascist invaders was commemorated in the city. On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of Odesa liberation from the German-fascist invaders, representatives of the authorities and law enforcement agencies held a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the Unknown Sailor on the Alley of Glory.

Ordinary sea containers are made into temporary housing for displaced people in Odesa. A total of one hundred and twenty such premises are planned to be built in the village near Odesa to place 500 people. The first residents have already appeared on the territory of the improvised town, these are mostly IDPS from the east. The initiative is supported by benefactors. The organizers plan to make such towns in other regions of Ukraine.

A delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in Ukraine visited Odesa. One of the priority national projects for Odesa oblast – Ukraine’s application for the right to host the World Expo-2030 in Odesa and the city’s chances of winning were discussed during the visit. It was also agreed that Estonian experts will consider the possibility of providing assistance in the development and examination of post-war reconstruction projects important for the region. The European Union is considering possible financial support for Ukraine regarding the implementation of the Hydrogen Valley in Odesa.

A special vessel was built in Odesa oblast to transport deer across the Danube. The project became possible due to financial support of the European fund – Rewilding Europe. A special self-propelled pontoon was built to transport wild animals to Bilhorod Island, located in the Ukrainian Danube Delta. The Rewilding Ukraine team and employees of the Danube Biosphere Reserve released 20 European fallow deer and 20 red deer on the island.

Kherson oblast

In the morning, the russian army shelled a hospital in the Suvorov district of Kherson. Several windows were damaged due to the explosions.

On April 9, the russian occupiers shelled peaceful settlements in Kherson oblast 78 times. They fired 360 shells from MLRS, mortars, artillery, tanks, anti-tank missile systems, drones, and aircraft. The occupiers attempted to destroy infrastructure objects, targeted peaceful residential quarters, the city center, and suburbs. Shelling damaged the facade of a museum building, the territory of the plant, a garage cooperative, apartments in high-rise buildings, private houses, cars, and shops. The russian military shelled the city of Beryslav, as well as the villages of Kizomys, Novoberyslav, Lvove, Olhyne, and Tomaryne with guided bombs.

Twenty-four children from Kherson oblast illegally held by russian occupiers were returned home. The children were brought back by volunteers from the Save Ukraine Foundation.

Police officers helped two more families evacuate from the village of Kozatske. A woman and her 8-year-old son, as well as a 13-year-old teenager with his mother and grandmother, arrived in Kherson from the area of intensive enemy shelling. Volunteers are taking care of them in a new place.

On April 10, three additional locations for distributing paper certificates of the United Nations World Food Program will be opened in Kherson. Now the city has eight points to issue certificates.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

39 cadets completed a two-week combat group commander’s course at the Lutsk National Technical University. These are national guardsmen, border guards and cadets of the military training department of the university. The courses were conducted by Gintautas Maurikas, military instructor from Lithuania, and Erik Leppajarvi, retired Finnish army colonel. They came to Ukraine last year and trained over 5K soldiers who are now protecting Ukraine on various front lines. Yesterday, the instructors received high awards for their contribution to the defense capability of Ukraine from Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Zakarpattia oblast

On Easter, the RMA leaders visited the families of IDPs from Kharkiv oblast, who have been living in a new specially equipped town in Mukachevo for over a year. The town was built as part of the RMA’s cooperation with the Czech Caritas organization in Ukraine. It is a comfortable home with separate rooms for full-time living, meeting all requirements and providing an opportunity for development.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA reported that in Prykarpattia, the first prosthetics was performed on a military man in the regional clinical hospital.

The RMA held a meeting of the regional sub-cluster dedicated to protection of children’s rights in the oblast. The event was attended by experts from structural units of the RMA, representatives of eleven international charitable foundations and public organizations.

The RMA held a meeting with heads of specialized structural divisions of the RMA. They discussed regional programs for social support for the families of injured, fallen servicemen and missing persons.

A second shelter for IDPs was opened in Kalush thanks to the Move Ukraine CF, local authorities and a number of international organizations and patrons. They also agreed with representatives of the organization to construct social housing for 500 places. This will be the first social project in Prykarpattia.

Students of the Ivano-Frankivsk social and psychological rehabilitation center and children who are cared for by the Children’s Service have gathered for the joint assistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Children wove rosaries and prayed for victory.

Lviv oblast

A delegation from Poland headed by Lukasz Vantuch, Krakow City Council member, visited Drohobych. The guests brought 100 food Easter kits for Ukrainian, Polish and Jewish communities.

A delegation from the Czech Republic headed by Milan Merts, First Deputy Mayor of Khomutov, visited Lviv oblast. They agreed that students of the Novorozdil Polytechnic College can use the potential of Khomutov educational institutions to deepen their professional knowledge.

Lviv oblast became the first among the oblasts of Ukraine where Let’s Stand Together, the project to support victims of sexual violence during the full-scale war was presented.

An exhibition of military trophies with photos from the combat zone, handicrafts, souvenirs and Easter gifts were presented in Sambor. All funds collected will be used for the needs of soldiers. The exhibition was opened at the initiative of the Sambor Army Assistance Coordination Center and with the participation of the Sambir Vocational Lyceum.

Students and teachers of the Brodiv School of Aesthetic Education held a charity concert and collected over UAH 12K for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Employees of the Drohobych Regional Military Administration became blood donors for Ukrainian defenders. In this way, they supported the campaign of the Ministry of Health – Your Blood Can Fight.

Rivne oblast

The Rivne Regional Council banned the activities of the UOC (moscow patriarchate) on the territory of the oblast. The deputies also appealed to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with a demand to immediately adopt a law on the banning of the moscow patriarchate in Ukraine.

Ternopil oblast

In the center of Ternopil until April 14, the Easter platform “Gift of Gratitude to the Defenders” will be open, where everyone can leave packages with goodies for the military.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA reported that 6 charters of religious communities of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the new edition, transferred to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, were registered.

A press conference was held regarding results of the project on the construction of a dormitory for IDPs in the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi. Thanks to the NGO Metalab and international humanitarian organizations, it was possible to attract over EUR 70K and create comfortable housing. 64 rooms were equipped with all amenities.

The RMA reported that 1 350 kg of clothes from UNICEF were given to 490 displaced persons at the clothing distribution point of the Khmelnytskyi RMA.

Units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received means of backup power supply from benefactors of Khmelnytskyi oblast.

Chernivtsi oblast

Representatives of the humanitarian mission MDM Greece (Doctors of the World – Greek delegation) and the Regional Development Agency of Chernivtsi oblast visited the Chernivtsi Medical Center. An agreement was reached to update the institution’s trauma service in the amount equivalent to UAH 2 million.

The Kitsmansk primary care center received a modern hematology analyzer thanks to Doctors of the World (Medicos del Mundo/ MdM).

Medical institutions of the oblast received 8 backup power generators from the regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine.

The Chernivtsi Regional Children’s Hospital received medical furniture and equipment from the partner region of Swabia (Germany).

The 37th separate rifle battalion received a thermal imager and binoculars within the framework of the project “Security and protection – a common factor of cross-border cooperation” from the Main Department of the State Service for Emergency Situations in Chernivtsi oblast.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

From the reserves of the Bundeswehr, Germany provided another military aid to Ukraine, namely ACHS armored engineering vehicles, Zetros trucks, mobile antenna-mast systems, reconnaissance drones and cartridges of caliber 40 millimeters.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with Muhammad Shia` Al-Sudani, Prime Minister of Iraq. They agreed to activate all existing cooperation mechanisms and launch some new ones. The Ukrainian Peace Formula was also discussed.

Nancy Feather, Head of the German Interior Ministry threatens to ban athletes from russia and belarus from entering the country.  She noted that allowing athletes from aggressor countries to participate in international competitions would be ‘a slap in the face to Ukrainian athletes.’

The Government of the State of Israel has decided to extend the issuance of visas and the provision of comprehensive assistance to Ukrainian refugees from the russian invasion for another year.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine reported that a program of remote research grants from the EU has been launched for Ukrainian scientists without the need to leave Ukraine. Projects will last from 6 or 12 months.
