The US Embassy in Ukraine informs that the US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield arrived in Kyiv for a one-day visit. She came to meet with the leaders of the government and to confirm the unshakable support to Ukraine on behalf of the United States, the message of the embassy says.
The United States will allocate additional $25 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine to overcome energy and heating problems in the winter period, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the United States representative to the United Nations, said during her visit to Kyiv.
She also assured of bipartisan support for Ukraine against the background of the midterm elections in the USA.
The Pentagon confirmed that the first two NASAMS air defense systems from the United States are already in Ukraine and in service with the Defense Forces. Ryder, the spokesman of the US Ministry of Defense, said that the Ukrainian military recently completed training on the use of the complexes in Europe.
Italy is ready to provide SAMP/T and Aspide air defense systems to Ukraine. The Italian government is preparing a new military aid package for us. However, it is not yet known how many air defense systems the country will be able to offer and when such a batch will be delivered.
Germany gives 7.6 million euros for search of missing Ukrainians during the war. Training of Ukrainian forensic experts and investigators is also planned. According to the Commissioner for Issues of Persons Disappeared Under Special Circumstances, since May, the hotline has received more than 30,000 calls. As of the end of September, more than 4,000 people were wanted.
The General Staff reported that today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit 4 control points and 4 positions of enemy air defense equipment. Also, Ukrainian defenders targeted 8 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment. In total, during the day, the Ukrainian aviation made 16 strikes against the occupiers. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
