Ukrainian defenders have liquidated 35,000 russian invaders as reported by the General Staff.

✅ The military of the 79th separate airborne assault brigade shot down a russian Ka-52 Alligator helicopter.

✅ In three districts of Kherson oblast, Ukrainian aviation carried out strikes on hostile manpower and military equipment clusters as reported by the “South” Command.

✅ The military operation on the island of Zmiinyi continues. The Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out 10 strikes on russian invaders and military equipment located on Zmiinyi and damaged a Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft gun complex.

✅ According to the General Staff, near Mariinka, as well as towards Bakhmut and Donetsk, Ukrainian defenders repelled several assaults and stopped the advance of the enemy.

✅ NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says that at the summit in Brussels, NATO leaders will agree upon an increase in the number of their troops on the eastern flank due to the russian threat.

✅ The Times says that Ukrainian special forces carry out sabotage deep in the russian rear. Two soldiers of the Special Operations Forces unit have disclosed some details of the operations.

✅ Head of military intelligence Kyrylo Budanov says that the retreat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Sievierodonetsk after several weeks of fighting with russian hostile troops was a “tactical” step to avoid a repeat of the siege of Azovstal in Mariupol.

✅ In Russia, overnight there was a default on sovereign debt in foreign currency due to imposed sanctions that made it impossible to pay foreign creditors.

✅ This week, the United States may announce the purchase of an advanced medium and long-range air defense system for Ukraine. According to CNN, this can be a Norwegian anti-aircraft missile system NASAMS, capable of hitting targets at a distance of over 160 km.

✅ Moldovan President Maia Sandu has arrived in Kyiv for an official visit. During the day Sandu will visit Borodianka, Bucha and Irpin.

✅ At the G7 summit, Zelenskyy called on world leaders to do everything possible to stop russia’s invasion of Ukraine by the end of the year.

✅ On its own initiative and at its own expense, Ukraine has purchased 2,900 RGW 90 Matador anti-tank missile systems from the German concern Dynamit Nobel Defense (DND).
