Ukraine briefly

It has been the 196th day of Ukraine’s resistance to the russian military aggression. 

Here is operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm:

The enemy continues to focus its efforts on establishing full control over the territory of Donetsk oblast, holding the occupied areas of Kherson, parts of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv oblasts. 

There is intensive aerial UAV reconnaissance. The invaders continue taking measures to improve the logistics support of their troops.

The enemy inflicted more than 8 missiles and 10 air strikes on targets on the territory of Ukraine. The infrastructure in Andriivka, Bezimenne, Bilohirka, Bila Krynytsia, Bohoyavlenka, Dorozhnianka, Kharkiv, Kramatorsk,  Kostiantynivka, Kostromka, Olhivske, Sloviansk, Siversk, Sukhyi Stavok, Tsirkuny and Velyki Prokhody, were under attack. 

Towards Volyn and Polissya, the situation has not changed. There is a constant threat of missile and air strikes on the territory of Ukraine from the airspace and territory of the republic of belarus.

In other directions, the enemy continued to hit military and civilian facilities, namely:

towards Siversk, in the areas of the settlements of Bleshnia, Hai, Senkivka, Chernihiv oblast and Manukhivka,  Mykolaivka, Khodyne, Novovasylivka, Porohon, Stukalivka, Vovkivka, Yuriiv, Zapsillya, Sumy oblast, from mortars and jet artillery;

towards Kharkiv, Duvanka, Sosnivka, Chornoglazivka, Myronivka, Kostiantynivka, Udiv, Ruska Lozova, Vylodnyk, Cherkassy Lozova, Cherkasky Tyshky, Russky Tyshkiv, Bazaliivka, Stary Saltov, Kostiantynivka and Peremohy were shelled from barrel and reactive artillery;

towards Sloviansk, Brazhkivka, Dmytrivka, Dolyna, Krasnopillya, Mazanivka, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Sloviansk, Sulyhivka and Virnopillia were shelled from barrel and rocket artillery;

towards Kramatorsk, there was shelling near Hryhorivka, Ivano-Dariivka, Kryva Luka, Ozerne, Spirne, Tetianivka, Verkhniokamianske, Vesele and Zvanivka; 

towards Bakhmut, Bilohorivka, New York, Mykolaivka Druha, Mayorsk, Oleksandropil, Opytne, Odradivka, Rozdolivka, Soledar, Toretsk, Vesela Dolyna, Vyimka, Yuriivka, Yakovlivka, and Zaitseve were shelled from mortars, barrel and rocket artillery;

towards Avdiivka, Opytne, Orlivka, Pervomaiske, Tonenke and Vodiane were shelled;

towards Novopavlivka,  Heorhiivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Mykilske, Novomykhaylivka, Novomaiorske, Pavlivka, Paraskoviyivka, Prechystivka, Petrivka, Solodke, Shevchenko, Velyka Novoselka, Vremivka, Vuhledar, Volodymyrivka, Yehorivka, Zolota Nyva, were shelled with artillery of various types;

towards Zaporizhzhia, the settlements of Bilohiria, Chervone, Dorozhnianka, Mali Shcherbaky, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Nesterianka, Novopil, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Olhivske, Poltavka, Shcherbaky, Shevchenko, Vremivka, Vilne Pole and  Zhaliznychne, were hit.

Towards the South Buh, the enemy fired from barrel and rocket artillery along the contact line. The settlements of Veselyi Kut, Tavriiske, Liubomyrivka, Oleksandrivka, Stepova Dolyna, Blahodatne, Luch, Dniprovske, Lupareve, Shevchenkove, Myrne, Novohryhorivka, Kyselivka, Velyke Artakove, Bila Krynytsya, Ternivka, Sukhyi Stavok, Olhyne, Myroliubivka, Liubymivka, Petrivka, Velyka Kostromka and Ivanivka were shelled from the enemy artillery.

russian forces continue to violate international humanitarian law. In Kupiansk, Kharkiv oblast, the invaders illegally detain about 40 people in the local police station. Local residents are forcibly evicted from the private sector of the settlement of Kozatske, Kherson oblast.

There are cases of deploying weapons and military equipment in the courtyards of educational institutions.

Enemy troops continue to suffer losses. In Kherson oblast, near Hola Prystan, as a result of fire damage, the enemy’s losses reached about 70 people, over half of them were killed. Near the settlement of Tavriysk, two Akatsiia self-propelled artillery systems were destroyed, two more damaged, and manpower losses are being clarified. One of the enemy’s artillery divisions operating near Kherson lost up to 60 % of personnel and equipment and is considered incapacitated. Due to logistic issues in the enemy’s units, there is a shortage of fuel and ammunition.

Units of the Defense Forces continue to hold their positions and do not allow the enemy to advance on the territory of Ukraine. It was possible to successfully repel the invaders’ attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Dolyna, Hryhorivka, Maiorsk, Mykolaivka Druha, Opytne, Pytomnyk, Ruski Tyshky, Soledar and Zaitsevo.

To support the actions of ground groups, aircraft of the Defense Forces carried out more than 14 strikes on strongholds and buildups of enemy manpower and equipment. Air defense units of our troops  destroyed two Su-25 aircraft, one Ka-52 helicopter and two UAVs in different directions.

Rocket troops and artillery of ground groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to perform tasks on counter-battery warfare, destroying control and logistics systems, enemy manpower and military equipment.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed new heads of departments of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kherson and Chernihiv oblasts. Artem Borysevych became Head of the SSU office in Kherson oblast. The SSU in Chernihiv oblast is headed by Oleksii Liakh.

Head of the Ministry of Reintegration Iryna Vereshchuk says that residents of  territories adjacent to the Zaporizhzhia NPP should be evacuated. She added that she had requested a humanitarian corridor from the occupiers to evacuate civilians from the temporarily occupied territories adjacent to the nuclear power plant.

From October 1, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will increase compensation under the shelter program. The Ministry of Reintegration reported that homeowners hosting internally displaced persons will receive UAH 900 instead of UAH 450 per person per month. 

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy reports that Ukraine and Poland agreed to build a pipeline for oil transportation. In the near future, a working group will be created to develop technical characteristics and conditions for constructing the pipeline and 2 terminals.

 

Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of successful actions of our defenders in the temporarily occupied Oleksandrivka, mercenaries from private military companies suffered heavy losses. Separate units accounted for over 40% of the seriously injured and killed. The Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully repelled attacks of russian troops near Hryhorivka, Pytomnyk and Ruski Tyshky. 

Kharkiv Mayor, Ihor Terekhov, said that last night, russians launched two missile strikes in Nemyshlia district. One of the rockets hit a two-storey building, setting fire to a car wash nearby, and damaging cafes, shops and cars. The second rocket hit the ground. Preliminary there were no casualties.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that around 4 am, one rocket hit Zmiiv city, Chuhuiv district. The missile hit the ground near a medical facility. No one was injured.

The invaders shelled settlements in Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Izium and Kharkiv districts. Houses and outbuildings were destroyed and fires broke out.

Two people, a 45-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, were injured in a rocket attack on Pechenihy settlement, Chuhuiv district.

A 41-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were injured in Bohodukhiv district. The condition of the injured is light to moderate.

In Kharkiv, despite shelling of downtown, volunteers plan to rebuild the All for Victory tent.

Naftohaz of Ukraine state-owned company stated that they plan to explore a new well in Kharkiv oblast. The reserves were discovered at a depth of 6K meters. According to the company, more than 120 K cubic metres of gas can be extracted from the well per day.

Donetsk oblast

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that russians killed 3 civilians in Heorhiivka, Krasnohorivka and Paraskoviivka. Two more people were injured.

russians were most active in Kramatorsk district Konstiantynivka, Kramatorsk and Sloviansk were under fire.

Kramatorsk was shelled at dawn. russians hit a psychiatric hospital and a fire broke out there.

In Sloviansk around 4 am russians shelled a branch of school # 4 and hit an apartment building. Rescuers extinguished the fire in the damaged house. The bodies of three killed were found under the rubble.

In Kostiantynivka, a private sector was under fire, and a summer kitchen was destroyed.

The night was uneventful in several communities of Bakhmut district. In Soledar community, a private house in Rozdolivka and farm premises in Vasiukivka were destroyed. It was loud in Oradivka, Svitlodarsk community. Also overnight, russians shelled Ivanivka, Hrodivka community.

Referring to Donetsk Regional Police, in Avdiivka, policemen were targeted while evacuating civilians. An armoured vehicle was damaged and one of the law enforcers injured.

Luhansk oblast 

According to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the families of two Heroes, killed in the defence of Sievierodonetsk, were awarded the Order of the Gold Star by the Head of State.

Head of Lysychansk City Military Administration, Valerii Shybiko, claimed that 130 displaced from Luhansk oblast live in a modern modular city in Kyiv oblast. 70% of able-bodied persons were provided with work.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that 69 students at a sanatorium school in Sievierodonetsk were given rooms to study in Austria, so that they can study, rest and receive proper medical care in peace. There are 840 students left in the Sievierodonetsk community just 8% of the total at the beginning of 2022. There are now 8 248 children who have evacuated to safe regions of Ukraine or abroad and are studying online at the New Ukrainian School programme.

 

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

Reconstruction of Kyiv oblast after occupation continues. Oleksiy Kuleba, head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, informs that as of now, design documentation for reconstruction of 18 500 facilities have been developed, which is about 76% of the total number of damaged buildings. By the end of the year, it is planned to restore about 10 thousand facilities.

According to the Kyiv City State Administration, testing of heating networks in Kyiv has been completed, repair works to eliminate the damage sustained are being conducted. International partners play a huge role in preparing the city for winter. It is planned to purchase mobile boilers for medical institutions and maternity hospitals. As of today, the readiness of Kyiv oblast for the winter period is 83%.

According to Oleksiy Kuleba, head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, a fire broke out at one of the enterprises in Boryspil, due to which residents of the city could hear the sounds of explosions not related to the air raid. The fire has now been eliminated. According to the State Emergency Service, a special robot Alpho Wolf, which can extinguish complex fires in hard-to-reach places, was involved in the process. One person suffered body burns and was hospitalized.

At the next meeting of Kyiv City Council, it is planned to “de-russify” 42 more streets in the capital. The first batch consisting of 102 streets was “de-russified” by Kyiv City Council in late August.

19 children from Stavyshche, Pereyaslav, Dmytrivka, Nemishayive, and Kaharlyk communities of Kyiv oblast went to Artek recreation camp in Transcarpathia. The trip vauchers were provided by the Ministry of Social Policy.

Alla Dushkina, Director of the Pechersk gymnasium #75 in Kyiv, who was released by the court on bail in case of directing enemy artillery fire on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has fled Ukraine. This information was given by the lawyer at the court hearing. The prosecutor’s office is checking the data on her crossing the border with Hungary.

Zhytomyr oblast

Preparation of civilian shelters in Zhytomyr oblast continues. At the meeting with  heads of territorial communities of the region, over 4 thousand basic shelters have already been repaired. About 35% of shelters are in unsatisfactory condition.

Employees of “Zhytomyrteplokomunenergo” continue to prepare for the heating season. Inspection of boiler rooms of schools and kindergartens continues. According to Borys Bondarchuk, head of the heating inspection of the MU, the heating system of the city is ready, fittings were replaced and common areas were insulated.

To celebrate the 85th anniversary of Zhytomyr Oblast, a stamp will be issued with a drawing by 17-year-old Taisiya Chernetska from Malynska community who won the competition from Zhytomyr Oblast State Administration. Participants were depicting the landscape of Polissia region.

A nine-year-old resident of Zhytomyr Stanislav Sedov raises funds for the needs of the Armed Forces by baking and selling bread. The boy bakes three loaves of bread every day. It takes him 3-4 hours to do it.

Sumy oblast

The head of the Sumy RMA, Dmytro Zhivytskyi announced that late in the evening, the Khotyn community was shelled with mortars, 12 explosions were recorded. At midnight there were 18 explosions in the Znob-Novgorod community. Around two o’clock in the morning there were 13 arrivals in the Myropillia community. russians also fired from mortar twice at Esman community. There were 17 hits. In all cases, there were no casualties.

The RMA reports that road reconstruction is underway in Sumy oblast. So, in the Konotop district, roads of local importance Konotop – Vyrivka – Pryseymya are being repaired. During work, modified bituminous mixtures are used, which significantly increase the quality of coating and service life.

The ambulatory of general practice of family medicine of the Esman community (Glukhiv district) received a modern diesel generator “SOLAX”. This autonomous source of electricity will allow the medical institution to function without interruption in the absence of a centralized power supply. The aid came as part of the “Ukrainian Rapid Response Fund” program, supported by the US State Department.

Stamps with “combat scenes” from “Ukrposhta” have already become a patriotic tradition in Ukraine. The city of Sumy also received its stamp. The stamp “Amounts are free. The people of Sumy are invincible” was defaced during the solemn session of the Sumy City Council dedicated to the City Day.

Chernihiv oblast

In the morning, smoke covered Chernihiv and part of the oblast. It was caused by fires on peat fields in Kyiv oblast. This is reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Due to the smog, Chernihiv RMA urges citizens to limit their time outside, to close windows and doors, not to ventilate the premises, and if necessary to use wet gauze bandages.

Today, for the third time since the full-scale invasion began, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Ukraine Ilgvars Klyava arrives to the oblast, this time together with the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia Zanda Kalninja-Lukashevica.

In Chernihiv oblast, weapon exhibitions were banned due to the recent explosion in the regional center. The head of Chernihiv RMA Vyacheslav Chaus said that more restrictions were imposed to hold mass events in the oblast. In addition, the Regional Defense Council approved the Procedure for conducting mass events in the oblast under the legal regime of martial law.

The State Border Service reported that a border sniper skilfully landed an enemy drone in Chernihiv oblast. The Ukrainian fighter made a good shot, damaging one of the propellers of the quadcopter. A memory card with records of Ukrainian and russian positions was found in the downed device.

The RMA reported that Turkish producers are ready to install structures for grain storage in the territory of Chernihiv oblast free of charge. It is about installing equipment that agricultural producers will be able to use for a specified rental fee. This was stated by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey to Ukraine Yagmur Ahmet Guldere.

The World Monument Fund received three applications from the Chernihiv oblast for restoration of facilities damaged by active hostilities: the regional youth center, the Chernihiv Regional Library for Youth, and the Korolenko Regional Universal Scientific Library.

 

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

At night, the enemy shelled Nikopol district, mainly the outskirts of Nikopol and Marganets community, from heavy artillery and Grad MRLS. There are no casualties. Also, an enemy UAV was shot down in the Synelniky district by the East air defense complex. This was announced by the head of regional council Mykola Lukashuk.

Vinnytsia oblast

In Vinnytsia, recreation and training centers were set up by UNICEF. This was reported by the city council. Earlier, representatives of UNICEF fund chose three institutions in which such centers will be set up so that children who have moved from the war zone and young residents of Vinnytsia could spend their free time there.

In one month, six children from the village of Siomaky in Khmilnytskyi district collected almost 40K UAH for the army by selling homemade bakery, drinks and fruit. UAH 11K were given to Zhmeryn volunteers for a car, UAH  25K were used to buy a quadcopter for the military, and the rest was spent on power banks and solar mini-batteries.

25 children from Mariupol, Rubizhny, and Bakhmut became participants of the charity project “Children are our future”, initiated by volunteers of the “Ukrainian team” headquarters.

Kirovohrad oblast

Kropyvnytskyi residents actively responded to the call of city authorities to collect UAH 268K for a car for the military by the 268th anniversary of the city’s founding. The city council reported that residents of the city transferred UAH 313K during the week.

Poltava oblast

Dmytro Lunin, the head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, announced that almost 500 foreign-made sleeping bags received from international partners, as well as portable gas stoves and water supplies, were handed over to the military in Poltava oblast.

Cherkasy oblast

In Cherkasy oblast, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine informed three women, supporting russian invasion, were under suspicion. According to the SSU, residents of Cherkasy conducted propaganda activities through social networks.

 

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

During the day, the enemy shelled the village of Mala Tokmachka in the Polohy district using Hrad multiple rocket launchers. There were 8 civilians who were receiving humanitarian aid at that time in one of the yards. As a result of the shelling, 3 people were killed, 5 seriously injured.

The police received 51 reports about destruction of civil infrastructure objects as a result of shelling by the russian forces.

As a result of strikes on populated areas of Polohy and Zaporizhzhia districts, the occupying forces damaged over 15 private houses, three high-rise buildings and the territory of an enterprise. The cities of Orihiv and Huliaipole suffered the greatest destruction.

The infrastructure facilities in Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhzhia district, came under enemy fire. The shop premises at one of local enterprises and 6 apartments of the village residents were damaged.

As of the morning of September 7, two neighborhoods of Enerhodar remain without electricity. The “Luch” substation was damaged as a result of numerous shelling by the occupiers. This was reported by mayor Dmytro Orlov.

Evacuation of elderly people from the front line continues. Yesterday, 18 elderly people were evacuated from Orihiv to a safe area. They are currently in one of the units of the social service.

Teachers and military personnel from russia arrived in the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol. Newly arrived russians go from house to house with the military and forcefully evict residents.

The investigators sent to the court an indictment on collaborative activities of the former director of the medical institution “Multidisciplinary hospital of intensive treatment methods and emergency medical care” of the Melitopol City Council.

Mykolaiv oblast

The russian aggressors damaged residential buildings and a warehouse in Yavkyne and Kutsurub with rocket attacks. This is reported by the Police of Mykolaiv oblast.

Bereznehuvate and Shyroke communities were under attack. The hits were outside population areas.

Mykolaiv rescuers have recovered 3 295 pieces of ammunition since the beginning of the russian aggression. 5 service calls were made and 2 explosive items were seized.

A reconstruction camp is taking place in Voznesensk. Volunteers from different cities of Ukraine help local residents rebuild and repair homes damaged by russian shelling and during occupation of the city. The camp will end on September 8 with a charity music festival.

Odesa oblast

The enemy naval group continues maneuvers along the Crimean coast in missile-safe areas. 2 surface-to-surface missile carriers equipped with 16 Calibers are on combat duty.

A delegation of the Kingdom of Sweden and the UN World Food Program visited Odesa oblast. The key topic of the visit is to learn more about the security and humanitarian situation in the region. Sweden will provide financial assistance for purchase and delivery of wheat from Ukraine to countries where there is a risk of mass starvation.

Kherson oblast

The situation in the South Buh operational zone remains tense, but is controlled by the Defense Forces. The enemy is trying to hold the occupied lines, while launching rocket-artillery and air strikes, both on the positions of the Defense Forces and on peaceful settlements.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a barge with occupiers and military equipment on board near Hola Prystan when the enemy’s attempted to establish an alternative crossing. Fire control of the Kakhovskyi bridge does not allow the enemy to carry out repair work.

An enemy K-52 attack helicopter was shot down by anti-aircraft defense forces while attempting to attack our positions.

The enemy Su-25 was shot down by Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile units.

Ukrainian aviation launched 13 air strikes, and missile and artillery units carried out more than 250 fire missions. Confirmed losses of the enemy are 83 occupants, 5 tanks, 12 howitzers “Msta-B” and “Msta-S”, 3 guns “Hyacinth-B”, 3 units of armored vehicles. 4 ammunition depots were destroyed in Hola Prystan, Tomyna Balka, Snigurivka, and in the Beryslav district.

According to the General Staff, the russian artillery division, based in Kherson, has lost up to 60% of its troops and equipment and is considered incapacitated.

Regional law enforcement officers have opened 21 criminal proceedings on violations of the laws and customs of war by russians and local collaborators.

The Security Service of Ukraine notified the deputy head of the branch of the Kherson Regional Office of Oshchadbank about suspicion of aiding the aggressor state. The man voluntarily headed the branch of the russian bank “Promsvyazbank” in Kherson.

The russian military has abducted 613 people in Kherson oblast since the beginning of russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Recently the russian military abducted the acting head of the village in Skadovsky district, who refused to cooperate with the occupiers.

The number of searches and inspections of public and private transport increased in southern cities. The russian military strengthened “counter-subversive” measures due to successful action of the Ukrainian guerillas. This was reported by the Center of National Resistance.

The property of a People’s Deputy of Ukraine, suspected of treason and aiding the aggressor state, was handed over to the Agency for Search and Asset Management. According to the investigation, since March 12, the People’s Deputy of Ukraine was constantly in the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson oblast. He assumed the pseudo-administrative position of “deputy head of government of Kherson oblast”.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Artem Borysevych as head of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kherson oblast.

In Kherson, the occupiers “renamed” the Mykola Kulish Regional Academic Music and Drama Theater to “Russian Academic” and announced recruitment of employees. They are ready to hire simply “talented” people without special education. Oleksandr Knyha, the general director of the theater named after Kulish, told about it.

 

Western regions

Volyn oblast

Employees of the State Utility Enterprise Lutskteplo in August donated one day’s salary for the purchase of a car for Ukrainian soldiers. Mitsubishi L200 SUV is already on its way to the 80 brigade, where most Volyn residents serve.

In Lutsk, kindergarten students decided instead of traditional flowers for September 1, to collect funds for the military. The children brought and handed over almost UAH 19K to the volunteers. These funds in CF Angari will be included in the collection of funds for unloading vests for Ukrainian soldiers.

Four students from Lutsk organized a patriotic action, during which they collected funds for the needs of Ukrainian defenders. The children took to one of the streets of Lutsk with a sign “Hug if you believe in the victory of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” There were a lot of people willing to hug. The children donated the collected funds to buy a Punisher drone for the Lubart unit fighters.

This year, 247 children from the Novovolynsk community visited Poland, Germany and Lithuania on vacation.

Zakarpattia oblast

An international working meeting of management of the customs and border services was held at the Uzhhorod Vyshnye Nemetske checkpoint on the Ukrainian-Slovak border. They discussed speeding up registration of cargo vehicles and developing joint actions for effective  checkpoints’ operations.

In Zakarpattia oblast, funds were allocated from the oblast budget for one-time financial assistance to families of deceased residents of the region.

152 employers of Zakarpattia oblast will receive compensation for employment of internally displaced persons.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

At the meeting of the executive committee, regular payments of social benefits for residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk community were approved. Funds are allocated for 320 people 70+. A decision was also made to help 68 children of servicemen and 17 soldiers who were injured.

The Ivano-Frankivsk Hospital received an ultrasound machine and necessary medical equipment for treatment of children with congenital heart defects. The device was handed over by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Other equipment was purchased at the expense of the International Agricultural Company Corteva Agriscience.

Ivano-Frankivsk social protection authorities received 68 laptops as humanitarian aid. Representatives of the UN Refugee Agency Raquel Trabaso and Vera Shelest handed over the help.

Lviv oblast

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov visited the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny. The minister honored military personnel, representatives of state authorities, critical infrastructure workers and volunteers with Ministry of Defense awards, valuable gifts and prize weapons.

The famous pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgeon of the face and neck from Austria, Michael Rudes, arrived in Lviv. In the hospital of St. Nicholas the First, the doctor conducted 24 consultations and 4 operations on children.

The Lviv Regional Library won a grant for implementation of the Fifth Element information and psychological safety project for children and adolescents. The project will be implemented with the support of the press, education and culture department of the US Embassy in Ukraine.

A charity bike ride along the banks of the Dniester was held in the Stryi region. The collected money will be donated to purchase helmets for Ukrainian soldiers.

Students of Yavorshchyna region held a charity event in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The collected money was given to volunteers of the CITY OF GOOD PEOPLE charitable foundation.

Rivne oblast

The active phase of special tactical training was completed in Rivne oblast for soldiers of the National Guard, the State Border Service, the National Police and the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

A father of many children handed over beads used by his family to Ukrainian defenders in Rivne oblast. The car is already on the front line.

Ternopil oblast

In Ternopil RMA a meeting took place with representatives of the Sievierodonetsk city military-civilian administration. They discussed the possibility of creating a humanitarian hub on the territory of Ternopil oblast.

In the RMA a meeting took place with representatives of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Ukraine (UNHCR). The parties agreed on reconstruction of communal centers and expansion of protection services for displaced persons.

The Chortkiv city council reported that residents of Chortkiv, whose homes were damaged by rocket fire, as well as relatives of fallen servicemen were presented with certificates for household equipment. This gift was made by the authorities of the French city of Beziers.

Army help from Ternopil was sent to Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk oblasts. Over 40 parcels were handed over to the Ukrainian military. The Ternopil city council equipped the car with 500 sets of military uniforms, turnstiles, food products for long-term storage, gas bottles, etc.

A mobile dentistry was sent from Ternopil to the Ukrainian soldiers in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk oblasts. Volunteer doctors will provide dental care to Ukrainian defenders at the front.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

German benefactors delivered 30 multifunctional medical beds as humanitarian aid.

A truck with humanitarian aid was sent from Khmelnytskyi to Mykolaiv, including construction materials for repair work, as well as long-term food products and drinking water.

The RMA reported that students in Khmelnytskyi are recommended to study on Saturdays. This way, students will go on winter vacation earlier and for longer.

In Khmelnytskyi, the NGO Vector of Human Rights provides free psychological and legal assistance to people with disabilities under martial law.

Chernivtsi oblast

In the Chernivtsi RMA a meeting took place with the delegation of the Republic of Latvia. They discussed Latvia’s participation in implementing the plan for rapid restoration of infrastructure in the regions of Ukraine affected by the russian aggression.

A hotline for issues of social security for family members of fallen servicemen operates in Bukovyna. They also advise on pension provision to persons released from military service.

The State Emergency Service reported that a new notification system is being tested in Chernivtsi oblast. It will promptly report emergency situations by sending messages with a sound signal operating even in silent mode.

 

International support

The Ministry of Defense of Germany reported that Germany transferred to Ukraine 5 additional GEPARD anti-aircraft self-propelled guns and COBRA radar system.

The Ministry of Defense of Lithuania reported that Lithuania sent 15-millimeter American howitzers originating from the Second World War to Ukraine.

The UN Security Council held a meeting on the situation at the ZNPP. The UN Secretary General Guterres and IAEA Director General Grossi delivered a speech at the Security Council.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a conversation with a newly elected British Prime Minister Liz Truss. They discussed Great Britain’s participation in reconstruction of Ukraine and further pressure on the russian federation.

The British government reported that Liz Truss accepted Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s invitation to visit Ukraine.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that forcing Ukraine to make peace on moscow’s terms is unacceptable.

Head of the Foreign Ministry of Latvia Edgars Rynkevičs stated that Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia agreed to significantly limit the entry of russians with valid Schengen visas.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented a platform for potential foreign investors at the opening of the New York Stock Exchange.

Ukrainians in Poland can get money for medicine. According to the Health4Ukraine program, free medicines worth up to PLN 500 (≈ UAH 3,880) are available to refugees.
