It has been the 224th day of Ukraine’s resistance to the russian military invasion.

Ukraine briefly

Here is operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm:

The enemy is trying to keep the temporarily seized territories, focuses its efforts on trying to disrupt the advance of the Defense Forces in certain areas, and does not stop conducting offensive operations towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka. The enemy redeploys its troops in separate directions.

The enemy continues shelling positions of our troops along the contact line, carries out remote mining of the territory in certain directions and conducts aerial reconnaissance. The invaders strike civilian infrastructure and civilians’ homes, violating the International Humanitarian Law, laws and customs of warfare.

There is a constant threat of air and missile strikes throughout Ukraine. the occupiers launched three missile and two air strikes, carried out more than fifteen attacks from multiple launch rocket systems.

Enemy attacks targeted facilities and civilians in more than 20 settlements, including Bila Tserkva, Bilohirka, Karlivka, Kryvyi Rih, Myrne, Nikopol, Selodub, Siversk, Soledar and Zaporizhzhia.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation has not changed significantly.

In other directions, the enemy carried out shelling targeting the following Ukrainian settlements:

towards Siversk, settlements Holyshivske and Pysarivka, Sumy Oblast;

towards Sloboda region, Dvorichna, Huriiv Kozachok, Ivashky, Ridkodub, Udy, Vovchansk;

towards Kramatorsk, Bilohorivka, Ivanivka, Kivsharivka, Kamianka, Novoliubivka, Serebrianka, Spirne, Terny, Torske;

towards Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Bilohorivka, Ivanhrad, Niu York, Odradivka, Opytne, Rozdolivka, Soledar, , Yakovlivka, Yuriivka and Zaitseve;

towards Avdiivka, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Pervomaiske and Vodiane.

Towards Novopavlivka and Zaporozhzhia, the enemy did not carry out active offensive actions. There was shelling in the areas of the settlements of Chervone, Dorozhnianka, Mala Tokmachka, Novosilka, Prechystivka, Pavlivka, Shakhtarske, Vesele, Volodymyrivka, Vremivka, and Zolota Nyva,.

Towards the South Buh, the enemy continues to redeploy and withdraw its units. The invaders shelled over 25 settlements along the contact line, including  Andriivka, Bilohirka, Blahodativka, Luch, Myrne, Novohrednieve, Pravdyne Stepova Dolyna, Soldatske, Sukhyi Stavok, and Velyke Artakove,.

Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repulsed the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of the settlements of Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Mayorsk Novomykhailivka and Vyimka.

In the temporarily captured city of Enerhodar, the occupiers continue to exert moral and psychological pressure on the employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Thus, according to available information, workers are threatened to obtain russian passports and enter into employment contracts with the state atomic energy corporation Rosatom.

As a result of successful actions of the Defense Forces towards Kherson, enemy units suffered losses and are trying to evacuate the wounded and equipment to the nearest crossings over the Dnieper River. In the village of Vesele, near the Kakhovka HPP, the enemy moved up to 150 wounded servicemen and about 50 units of damaged military equipment.

In the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk Oblast, due to the large number of wounded and overloading of local medical institutions, the enemy uses a school building as a military hospital. According to preliminary information, up to 200 wounded servicemen are there.

The command of units of the russian occupation forces continues to recruit prisoners to replenish the losses of personnel.

According to preliminary information, more than 650 prisoners from strict regime correctional colonies of the Stavropol Territory agreed to take part in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine.

Aviation of the Defense Forces conducted over ten strikes. The defeat of nine buildups of weapons and military equipment and two enemy anti-aircraft missile systems, was confirmed. In addition, our air defense units shot down seven enemy UAVs, including six Iranian ones.

Rocket troops and artillery struck two control points, twelve buildups of manpower, weapons and military equipment, and ten other important enemy targets.

Head of the Kyiv RMA Oleksiy Kuleba and Head of the Kyiv region police Andrii Nebitov inform that as a result of the night shelling by Iranian drones in Bila Tserkva, three infrastructure buildings were damaged. One person has minor injuries and is currently in hospital.

Head of the Luhansk RMA Serhii Haidai says that the Armed Forces of Ukraine began the de-occupation of Luhansk Oblast. Several settlements, including Bilohorivka towards Sievierodonetsk, have been liberated from russian occupation. According to the head of the Luhansk RMA, the village was “destroyed to the ground.” Local residents have received humanitarian aid.


Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian invaders shelled at least six settlements. Ukrainian troops repelled an attack near Strilecha village. The enemy shelled Dvorichna, Huriiv Kozachok, Ivashky, Ridkodub, Udy and Vovchansk.

13 military administrations were formed in the de-occupied territories of Kharkiv oblast. The order assigning 13 heads was signed by President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to the Regional Administration, as of October 5, 77 settlements remain under occupation.

Referring to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the police found two mummified bodies in the de-occupied Kamianka village, Izium district. Investigators found the bodies of two men with gunshot wounds in Novoplatonivka village, Borova community. The bodies of the deceased were tied together with shackles. A russian special unit was based at the local recreation centre during the occupation.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that the Kharkiv Academy of Continuing Education received a vehicle equipped with a mobile inclusive resource centre. The first mobile centre for children with developmental disorders was created on its basis in the region. Now highly-qualified specialists – psychologists, reflexologists, rehabilitologists, speech therapists – can get to any place in the region where children need their assistance. In the mobile centre, they can make a child’s diagnosis or conduct some kind of developmental activity.

The russian invaders continued shelling settlements in Kharkiv oblast close to the state border with russian federation and the contact line. In particular, the enemy shelled Bilyi Kolodiaz, Hatyshche, Hraniv, Ohirtseve and Vovchansk settlements.

According to the police, the day before, the invaders shelled the downtown Vovchansk: one person was killed, another injured and in reanimation. As a result of the shelling, apartment buildings were damaged.

According to the Regional Centre for Emergency Medical Care, a 75-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man in the Chuhuiv region and a 59-year-old woman in the Kupiansk region were hospitalized with injuries.

De-mining operations continue in the region. Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service defused 408 explosive devices.

Donetsk oblast

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, informed that the russians killed 1 civilian in Maiorsk station, Zaitseve. Another 6 people were injured. Moreover, 4 killed civilians were found during the exhumation in Sviatohirsk. 

Overnight and in the morning, the russians shelled in Donetsk and Horlivka directions. 

Towards Donetsk, Avdiivka and villages of the Ocheretyne community were under fire. In Avdiivka, there were isolated hits in the old part of the city and in the morning, massive shelling with artillery occured. Also, overnight, the russians targeted the Karlivka reservoir in the Ocheretyne community. Preliminary, there were no casualties.

Towards Horlivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar and Svitlodarsk communities were under fire. Chasiv Yar was hit by an airstrike: a house was damaged, no casualties reported. Overnight, Bakhmut and Ivanivske were shelled: 2 people were injured and 2 houses damaged. In the Svitlodarsk community, Maiorsk station and Odradivka were shelled.

In the liberated Lyman, residents received pensions and one-time payments for the first time after the de-occupation. Also people in the liberated cities and villages of Sviatohirsk and Lyman communities began to be provided with basic human needs.

Mariupol Mayor’s Councillor, Petro Andriushchenko, reported that almost a hundred people pass filtration every day.

Luhansk oblast

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reported that Ukrainian troops liberated six settlements. Details are not yet disclosed.

He added that the invaders now are gaining a foothold in Kreminna and Svatove, trying to repel the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Residents under the occupation are recommended to leave the area next to the frontline.

Forced mobilisation continues, men are no longer asked about their health and marital status: the sick and those with large families are also taken away.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the occupied part of Luhansk oblast, the invaders are using a school as a military hospital.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

At night, the enemy shelled Bila Tserkva with Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. There were 6 hits and explosions in total. One person was injured, 3 infrastructure facilities damaged. Another 6 drones were shot down by air defense forces.

IAEA Director Rafael Grossi is coming to Kyiv. He plans to discuss the security situation at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

In Pushcha-Vodytsia, a psychoneurological boarding facility damaged by russian missile strikes in March was restored. The repairs lasted almost a month. The damaged roof over the residential quarters was fixed, windows replaced, and the locksmith’s workshop, morgue and greenhouse restored.  The international charitable organization Global Empowerment Mission contributed to restoration of the institution.

The Embassy of Japan resumed its work in Kyiv, after it was relocated to Lviv at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, and later outside Ukraine. Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Matsuda Kuninori assured that Japan would continue to support Ukraine in countering russian aggression and strengthen assistance to reconst and restore Ukraine.

In Kyiv’s Muromets Park, a psychological and rehabilitation training session Shoulder of a Brother was held for military veterans and participants of the Revolution of Dignity. The event is aimed at providing comprehensive physical, psychological and social rehabilitation of the military personnel and has been held for the third time.

Zhytomyr oblast

EOD specialists of Zhytomyr oblast found and disposed two cluster munitions from the Urahan multiple rocket launcher system The munitions were found by local residents while they were picking mushrooms in the forest near the villages of Yaltsivka and Lyubovychi, the Korosten region.

It is planned to upgrade and modernize the public warning system in Zhytomyr. Currently, it operates due to the equipment produced in the 1960s and it is often necessary to start the sirens manually. The city budget will allocate about UAH 5 million for modernization. The upgrade will be carried out after the newest nationwide warning system is created.

A voluntary civil protection unit is being created in Zhytomyr to assist rescuers of the State Emergency Service in their tasks. Training sessions have been held for the first 30 people who volunteered to help. In total, about 300 people have registered as volunteers. According to Head of the Zhytomyr Department of Emergency Situations Mykola Didkivskyi, it is planned to allocate up to 200K UAH for the logistical support of the unit.

The Social Kitchen project, which provides free lunches to IDPs and socially vulnerable population of Zhytomyr oblast, has been launched. The meals will be given out packaged so that people can eat them at home, and meals delivery will be provided for those who are unable to get to the place of distribution on their own. The Italian government and the international charitable foundation provided financial support for the project, which will last for six months. In the future, the Social Kitchen will look for benefactors again.

As part of the  Cinema for Victory national tour, actor Bohdan Beniuk presented the film “Skhidniak” in Zhytomyr. The film is based on real events that took place during the fighting in the East of Ukraine. Servicemen were invited to watch the film.

Sumy oblast

The russian troops shelled the border settlements of Sumy oblast three times. Between 1 and 2 pm, there were 20 attacks from barrel artillery near the village of Fotovyzh. Near Rozhkovychi, at 13.30, the observers reported 15 strikes, allegedly from a 120 mm mortar. This was reported by the ‘North’ Operational Command. There is no information about casualties among the local population or damage to civilian infrastructure.

Mayor of Sumy Olexandr Lysenko and Yvonne Muller, the representative of the Swiss Humanitarian Aid, signed a letter on proving support to the city of Sumy by Switzerland. After the beginning of the full-scale russian military aggression, part of Sumy oblast was occupied, while Sumy was surrounded by enemy troops and suffered heavy artillery and air attacks. Because of this, various infrastructure facilities were damaged or destroyed. The list of affected properties includes the water supply and sewerage system. To improve residents’ living conditions, the Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine chose to partner up with the Municipal Enterprise Miskvodokanal and provide their assistance.

Sewerage and water supply systems of Trostyanets will also be rebuilt thanks to the financial support from Switzerland. The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation signed a cooperation agreement with the Trostyanets town government. The Swiss partners informed that technical means and necessary tools for Trostyanetskomunservis will be delivered by the end of October.

Chernihiv oblast

The Koriukivka community in Chernihiv oblast has been excluded from the list of territorial communities located in the combat operations zone or under temporary occupation. According to the press service of the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, the list was updated on October 3.

Chernihiv oblast received 2273 new laptops as part of the charitable assistance from UNESCO to organize the educational process. The computers will be handed over to educational institutions of the oblast that lost computer equipment as a result of hostilities. As reported by the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, some of the equipment will be transferred to the Chernihiv community.

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

The Nikopol region again suffered from the night shelling. The occupiers hit three communities with heavy artillery and Hrad MRLSs.

In the Chervonohryhorivka community, two residential buildings and one farm building were destroyed. More than ten private houses were damaged, a five-storey building, a lyceum, a church, a store, a gas pipeline, and some power lines were affected.

Campsites were damaged in Nikopol. This was announced by Head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk.

Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Valentin Reznichenko announced that Google and UNESCO handed over 3,600 laptops to teachers of schools and colleges. All 86 communities received the equipment. These laptops are fast and compact and can be used  all day without recharging.

Vinnytsia oblast

Almost 60 cars were delivered  for the defenders to the front line by volunteers of the Tykho Charitable Foundation, located in the city of Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia Oblast. The organization was created a day after the beginning of the full-scale invasion .

The Vinnytsia City Council reports that the city officially registered 44,249 people who were forced to leave their homes due to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. 11,593 of them are children. Most of the registered internally displaced persons are from Donetsk and Kharkiv oblasts.

Kirovohrad oblast

The rescue service reported that another train with internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Donbas arrived in Novoukrainka, Kirovohrad Oblast. There are the elderly, women and less mobile citizens among them. Psychologists work with children and adults who need urgent psychological help and support.

Poltava oblast

Head of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Anton Stolitny reports that one person is still missing after the airstrike on the Amstor shopping center in Kremenchuk on June 27 when 21 people were killed by the attack.

Cherkasy oblast

A humanitarian hub for IDPs from Luhansk Oblast was opened in Cherkasy where people can get grocery kits.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia with Iskander-K missiles. Infrastructure facilities were destroyed. A cluster type rocket was neutralized over the city. Debris fell in various areas of Zaporozhzhia.

During the day, the Zaporizhzhia police registered 26 reports of violating the laws and customs of war by the russian military. Residents of Orikhiv and Huliaipole regions suffered the greatest damage once again – the occupiers damaged their homes, some of which were completely destroyed.

Two local residents were killed – the deputy head of the local community and the head of the utility company – as a result of a missile attack in Huliaipole. This was reported by Oleksandr Starukh, Head of the Zaporizhzhia RMA.

The russian military damaged a high-rise building and more than 20 private buildings, a preschool, an agricultural farm and other infrastructure objects in the Zaporizhzhia oblast.

President of Enerhoatom Petro Kotin began to perform the duties of the Zaporizhzhia NPP director. According to him, the station’s administration was transferred to Kyiv after the kidnapping of General Director of the ZNPP Ihor Murashov. All further decisions regarding operation of the station will be made directly at the central office of Enerhoatom. All technical issues of power units operation will, as before, be resolved by the NPP technical staff in agreement with the company’s central office.

The JSC Operating Organization of the Zaporizhzhia NPP was founded within the Rosenergoatom concern, which is part of the Rosatom state corporation. The newly created company will start working in the near future. The Ukrainian Enerhoatom called this decision “worthless” and “agony of the imaginary crazy world of the aggressor country.”

russian president volodymyr putin ordered to transfer the Zaporizhzhia NPP into federal ownership. The newly created company Operating Organization of the Zaporizhzhia NPP was appointed to manage the ZNPP “until January 1, 2028”.

The occupiers continue to exert moral and psychological pressure on the workers of the Zaporizhzhya NPP in the temporarily occupied city of Energodar. Thus, according to available information, employees are forced to obtain russian passports and enter into employment contracts with the state atomic energy corporation Rosatom by threats.

One of the six reactors at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station is planned to be restarted. Currently all the reactors are in cold shutdown mode. The leadership of the Ukrainian operational staff informed the IAEA experts present at the ZNPP that preparations are underway for the start-up of unit 5 at a reduced capacity to produce steam and heat for the NPP’s needs.

The Zaporizhzhia RMA suspended the possibility of humanitarian convoys leaving for the temporarily occupied territory because of the tragic events of September 30 and the systematic violation of the warfare rules by the russians. The ban will continue until the investigation at the scene is completed and safe conditions are established at the checkpoint.

About fifty people, residents of the temporarily occupied cities of Zaporizhzhia oblast, who are unable to leave home, signed an appeal to the regional military administration with a request to allow them to exit to the occupied territory.

Mykolaiv oblast

The enemy launched a missile attack with two S-300 missiles on the Bereznehuvate community. No casualties are reported.

 The enemy fired one and a half dozen shells of heavy artillery and MLRSs at Ochakiv. There are no casualties.

Ukrainian anti-aircraft fighters shot down one “Orlan-10” on approach from the sea to Ochakiv. This was reported by the Public Relations Service of the Southern Air Command.

At night, from October 4 to October 5, the enemy attacked the Mykolaiv region with six Shahed-136 kamikaze drones. All of them were shot down by anti-aircraft defense forces.

Settlements of the Bereznehuvate community, located on the demarcation line, remain under constant fire. The enemy fired at Lepetykha, Murakhivka, and Bereznehuvate. Also, the village of Shyroke was shelled. There were no injuries or damage.

The police documented damage to administrative buildings, a library, a children’s art center, a store, a residential building, and a warehouse of a private enterprise after yesterday’s attacks on Bereznehuvate, Inhulske and Prybuzhany communities.

According to Head of the Mykolayiv RMA Vitalii Kim, as of October 5, the officers of the russian army left the occupied Snihurivka. There is no officially confirmed information regarding the liberation of the city.

The Security Service of Ukraine exposed russian agents who were engaged in preparing and popularizing the fake referendum of the russian federation in the temporarily occupied territory of Mykolaiv oblast. Two of them have received suspicions, and the organizer of the pseudo-voting, who is currently hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied territory, was informed about the suspicion in absentia.

Representatives of the United Nations in Ukraine  led by Humanitarian Coordinator of the United Nations in Ukraine, Denise Brown visited Mykolaiv. The issues of providing humanitarian aid to internally displaced persons, citizens living in the territories where active hostilities are taking place, as well as people who have lost their jobs and employees of enterprises forced to stop their activities, were discussed at the meeting with the leadership of the region. This week, Mykolaiv oblast receives large-scale aid from the UN, including building materials (wood, OSB boards), mattresses, blankets, warm clothes, hygiene products, etc.

The International Committee of the Red Cross Society handed over seven water trucks to Mykolaiv for transporting drinking water from production to distribution points. The water trucks received by the regional organization of the Red Cross are fully autonomous and can transport 12K liters of water.

Odesa oblast

9 enemy ships and boats are maneuvering near the Crimean coast in the Black Sea. There are 5 Kalibr cruise missile carriers, 2 of which are submarines, in readiness to use missile weapons. The total missile potential is 32 units.

Heads of farms in the Okny community handed over four cars to the Odessa defense forces and units performing assigned tasks in neighbouring regions. Farmers of Odesa oblast have been united for a common victory over the enemy from the first days of the full-scale war. They collected and handed over a ton of different types of aid. This time they supported the defenders by purchasing vehicles.

Kherson oblast

As a result of the military operation to liberate the territories of Kherson oblast from occupation, our units liberated Liubimivka, Khreshchenivka, Zolota Baltka, Biliaivka, Ukrainka, Velika and Mala Oleksandrivka, as well as Davydiv Brid in the Beryslav region. It was possible to advance from 10 to 20 km in various areas of the front.

Enemy units have suffered losses and are trying to evacuate the wounded personnel and equipment to the nearest crossings across the Dnipro River. In particular, the enemy moved up to 150 wounded servicemen and about 50 units of damaged military equipment to the settlement of Vesele, near the Kakhovska HPP.

Ukrainian defenders struck deployment points of enemy anti-aircraft missile systems in the Kakhovka region. Units of Armed Forces of Ukraine liquidated pontoon and ferry crossings across the Dnipro in Kherson oblast.

The police opened 24 criminal proceedings on the facts of war crimes committed by the aggressor army in Kherson oblast. The enemy fired heavy artillery at settlements both in the newly liberated territories and along the front line. There are seriously injured local residents, dozens of houses and shops have been damaged and destroyed, and roads disfigured. Shells also hit the power line, which cannot be quickly restored due to constant shelling. People are left without electricity supply.

The farm property, buildings, and orchards were destroyed in the Bilozerka Territorial Community due to enemy shelling. The owner estimated the damage at UAH 200 million.

The police are demining the de-occupied villages in Kherson oblast, that are still being shelled by the russian army. The Ukrainian Armed Forces freed Zahradivka back in March, but the enemy army continues to shell the settlement with Hrad and Urahan MLRSs.

The Google company handed over 761 laptops for educators in Kherson oblast. Representatives of 33 communities received the laptops. Equipment is very necessary for our teachers, because the schools of Kherson oblast work only remotely due to the russian military aggression. Currently, there are 143 schools operating in this format, in which almost 59K students study.

Western regions

Volyn oblast

In the office of the regional Red Cross Society of Ukraine, a meeting with the representative of the Red Cross Society of Germany, Anke Bert, was held. Anke Bert reported that the German Red Cross Society wants to support Volyn oblast in terms of paying for utility services in shelters where IDPs live.

Head of the Volyn Regional Government, Yurii Pohuliaiko, announced that a humanitarian cargo – 10 tons of potatoes, 7K pieces of bricks, 50 tyrsoplites, film and self-tapping screws – was sent from Volyn to Kharkiv oblast.

Zakarpattia oblast

While preparing for the heating season, the RMA, the Detached Unit of the Hungarian Ecumenical Aid Service in Ukraine and the Zakarpattia Regional Forestry and Hunting Department signed a tripartite Memorandum on additional support for households that provide free shelter to displaced persons. People who shelter IDPs will receive firewood free of charge.

Educational institutions of Zakarpattia received 35 tablets from the CF International Unity and Help Now (Switzerland).

The RMA reported that 323 schools and kindergartens in Zakarpattia were provided with Internet access under the project of the Ministry of Digital Affairs Wi-Fi in Shelters.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In the city of Kolomyia, a coordination center for issues of missing persons has become operational. The center employs a psychologist who supports the families of missing people.

A department of medical and psychological rehabilitation was opened in the Carpathian Regional Clinical Center of Psychological Health. The department is designed for 14 beds. Here, highly qualified medical and psychological assistance will be provided to residents of Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, as well as to military personnel.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, on the facade of Lyceum # 24, an annotation board was opened and dedicated to defender Andrii Kalin, who gave his life defending his native land.

Lviv oblast

In the Lviv RMA, a meeting with representatives of the international organization Save the Children was held. Save the Children presented their programs, which included arranging three spaces in collective centers – a mother and child room, a children’s room with groups for small visitors of different ages, a digital room with gadgets.

In Lviv, a round table for deaf people on the issues of the notification and protection system in the conditions of martial law was held. Representatives of the RMA and 22 people with hearing disabilities took part in the discussion.

In the Lviv RMA, a staff training session on coordination of actions of civil defense forces in case of emergency situations was held. Actions in case of radiation accidents were worked out.

Temporary accommodation facilities for IDPs in Lviv oblast will receive household appliances from Poland. The total amount of assistance is over UAH 500K.

4 sets of drones were sent from Lviv oblast to the defenders on the front lines. Each kit includes a drone, a thermal imager and a charger. The necessary equipment was purchased by the Ukrainian-Czech company Horizonty.

72 small farms and family farmers of Lviv oblast received humanitarian aid – 28 tons of winter wheat seeds and 2.5 tons of a mixture of five types of herbs, from Italy. The aid was given as part of the Bread of Peace initiative of the Pausa Cafe social cooperative.

In the Skhidnytsia Territorial Community, preparatory work has begun before the construction of a residents’ security center, which will respond promptly to appeals during emergency situations. The construction customer is the Department of Capital Construction of the Lviv RMA. The center will be opened by the end of the year. The total cost of the works is over UAH 23 443 million. Works are financed from the state and local budgets.

The defender from Lviv oblast, Sviatoslav Palamar, nicknamed Kalyna, who defended Azovstal, was awarded the Golden Star order. The awarding ceremony took place during the meeting of Andrii Yermak and First Lady Elena Zelenska with Azovstal defenders and members of their families in Turkey.

Lviv University named after Franko conferred an honorary doctorate on Boris Johnson. The Academic Council of Lviv University awarded the academic title to the former Prime Minister of Great Britain.

In the Yavoriv region, students joined the action To Brave and Invincible Defenders. Children of different ages supported the RMA’s initiative and signed the flag of Ukraine with wishes and words of gratitude to Ukrainian soldiers.

Rivne oblast

Head of the Rivne RMA, Vitalii Koval, is participating in the Congress of Cross-Border Cooperation, which is taking place in the Polish city of Lublin. The key goal of this year’s event is Security and Solidarity.

In the Rivne Regional Children’s Hospital, they started repairing a bomb shelter. According to the project, the premises will be divided into zones: a shelter for the staff and patients with a nurse’s post equipped. The object has an area of ​​800 square meters. There are four entrances and exits. The extra elevator operates. The shelter is designed for 600 people.

The President of Ukraine presented state awards to the residents of the Varaska Territorial Community. Senior Sergeant Serhii Andriiev and Master Sergeant Vitalii Radchuk received III-degree For Courage orders.

Over 70% of schools in Rivne oblast have completely or partially switched to an offline format. This was announced by Head of the Rivne RMA, Vitalii Koval, who added that there are 426 such schools in the oblast.

Ternopil oblast

During the seven months of the war, the CF Wheels of Victory from Ternopil collected and sent to the Ukrainian military a total of 250 vehicles.

The Hertsaiv united territorial community reported that entrepreneurs of the community sent a cargo pickup for the needs of the Ukrainian army.

The Department of Military Chaplaincy of the Patriarchal Curia of the UGCC reported that Vasyl Hasynets, a military chaplain from Bukovyna, received a certificate from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

 International support

NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg officially received the application of Ukraine to join the Alliance. The next stage includes discussion of the application with all NATO member countries.

European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, Janez Lenarchych, announced that the European Commission delivered 5 million iodine pills to Ukraine for people living near nuclear power plants.

Sweden sent 500K doses of the updated Pfizer vaccine to Ukraine. The Ministry of Health noted that this vaccine is intended for booster vaccination of those who have already completed the primary course of vaccination against COVID-19.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF Ukraine) with the support of the Italian government delivered 4K of rabies vaccine to Ukraine.

The Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development recognized Ukraine as a potential member of the OECD, which gives entry to the so-called club of successful countries.
