Ukraine briefly

It has been the 221st day of Ukrainian people’s resistance to the russian military invasion.

Here is operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm:

The enemy continues to focus its efforts on trying to completely occupy Donetsk Oblast, hold the temporarily occupied territories, and disrupt the advance of the Defense Forces in certain areas. The enemy shelled the positions of our troops along the contact line and conducted aerial reconnaissance. There were some strikes on civilian infrastructure and civilians’ homes, violating the norms of International Humanitarian Law, the laws and customs of warfare. The enemy continues to launch air and missile strikes throughout Ukraine.

During the current day, russian occupiers have launched four missile and three air strikes, carried out over fifteen attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on military and civilian targets in Ukraine.

Over fifteen settlements suffered from enemy strikes, including Ridkodub, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Zaliznychne and Mykolaiv.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation has not changed significantly.

In other directions, the enemy fired from tanks, mortars, barreled and rocket artillery the following Ukrainian settlements:

towards Siversk, Khrinivka and Buchky of Chernihiv Oblast and Fotovyzh, Muraveinia, Seredyna Buda of Sumy Oblast;

in the Sloboda region, Hatyshche and Vovchansk;

in the Kramatorsk,   Bilohorivka and Verkhniokamianske;

in the Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Niu York, Klishchiivka, Maiorsk, Odradivka, Rozdolivka, Soledar, Vesele, Yakovlivka, Yuriivka, Zaitseve;

in the Avdiivka, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Netailove, Opytne, Pervomaiske, Vodiane.

Towards Novopavlivka and Zaporozhzhia, the enemy did not conduct active offensive actions. There was shelling in the areas of the settlements of Huliaipole, Novopil, Novosilka, Neskuchne, Novoukrainka, Vremivka, Velyka Novosilka,  and Zaliznychne.

Towards the South Buh, more than 40 settlements along the contact line suffered fire damage. To conduct reconnaissance and artillery guidance, the enemy made more than seventy UAV sorties.

Thanks to the success of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, in some areas there was a decrease in moral and psychological state of enemy personnel, resulting in numerous cases of servicemen’ surrendering and leaving their positions. Before the liberation of the settlement of Lyman, some enemy units tried to move deep into the temporarily occupied territories. Thus, on September 30, in the area of the settlement of Shchastia, a convoy of civilian cars and minibuses was discovered, in which there were more than 200 servicemen from the 2nd army corps of the russian occupation forces.

Delays and reductions in promised payments for participation in the so-called ‘special military operation’ on the territory of Ukraine have a negative impact on servicemen of the Armed Forces of the russian federation.

According to the updated information, elimination of enemy personnel and military equipment on October 1 was confirmed, namely: the occupiers’ ammunition depot near the settlement of Tavriiske, Kherson Oblast, seven tanks and up to ten units of automotive equipment near Chernihivka of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Information on personnel losses is being clarified.

During the current day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repulsed enemy attacks in the areas of Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Odradivka, Pervomaiske, Spirne, Vyimka and  Zaitseve,.

Aircraft of the Defense Forces inflicted four strikes during the day. Two buildups of weapons and military equipment, two enemy anti-aircraft missile systems were confirmed. In addition, Ukrainian air defense units shot down eight Iranian Shahed strike unmanned aerial vehicles.

During the day, rocket units and artillery hit five command posts, fourteen buildups of manpower, weapons and military equipment, three warehouses with ammunition and fuel and lubricants, as well as more than fifteen other important objects of the occupiers.
