It has been the ninety-third day of the Ukrainian people’s resistance. Towards Sloviansk, the russian invaders shelled the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and resumed the offensive. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, towards Bakhmut, in the areas of Pokrovsk and Klynovе, the enemy has partially succeeded, capturing the settlement of Midna Ruda. Currently, the occupiers are regrouping. This is one of the hottest spots in Donbas.

 

 

Ukraine briefly:

Mykhailo Podoliak, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President, says that russia is using the heaviest non-nuclear weapons against Ukraine and calls on partner countries to supply MLRS.

Here is operational information on the invasion of the russian horde according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine:

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy focuses on keeping the occupied positions and restraining the advance of our troops.

Towards Sloviansk, the orcs continue shelling the positions of our troops, resuming the offensive.

Towards Donetsk, the invaders are carrying out active offensive actions. They continue firing our units by launching missile strikes. They are also regrouping their units.

The enemy is trying to advance towards Bakhmut, disrupt logistics routes and cut off our units from the main forces. The AFU forces have regrouped to take fortified positions. The enemy is now on the territory of the Svitlodar сommunity. 

Towards Lyman, the enemy conducts reconnaissance. Supported by artillery, the enemy entrenched in Lyman, currently mostly controlled by russian troops, while the Ukrainian military took new fortified positions.

Towards the South Bug, the enemy tries to maintain control over the territory of Kherson oblast.

On May 27, russian troops shelled Dnipropetrovsk oblast, hit the barracks of the National Guard in Dnipro district. According to the previous data, there are 10 people killed and about 35 wounded. There were three missiles launched, one of which hit the target.

The situation did not change in other directions and in the waters of the Black and Azov seas.

The russians are transferring personnel and military equipment, in particular, Grad multi launch rocket systems from Crimea to Zaporizhzhia oblast. They are setting up the third defense third line, moving reinforcements to gain a foothold and maintain their position in southern Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy notes that russian invaders turn cities in Donbas into ashes making this region deserted. They want to burn down Popasna, Bakhmut, Lyman, Lysychansk, Severodonetsk to the ground like Volnovakha and Mariupol.

In Berdyansk, the enemy is trying to convince locals to switch to mobile networks of russian operators.

In Melitopol, the invaders plan to distribute russian passports.

Melitopol farmers sell their grain reserves to the occupiers, because they are afraid that the refusal to give grain for a pittance can cause expropriation of all their stocks.

On the streets of captured Mariupol, Russian invaders have installed 12 large television screens to broadcast their enemy propaganda.

The occupation of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant  threatens to flood the city and villages nearby. At the HPP, orcs do not allow repairing 2 hydroelectric aggregates, according to the “South” Operational Command. 

Lukashenko gave an order to establish an operational command of the Armed Forces of the rb in the Ukrainian direction. In addition, Iskander launchers of operational-tactical cruise missiles were moved to Luninets of Brest oblast in Belarus. According to deputy chief of the GOU general staff Hromov, they can be used to shell infrastructure in western Ukraine.

Yesterday, Volodymyr Zelenskyy met the Prime Minister of Finland and thanked her for supporting Ukraine: “Finland’s military assistance is very valuable for us.”

North Macedonian Foreign Minister Buyar Osmani has arrived in Kyiv. He has also visited the liberated Irpin.

In the summer, Ukraine plans to join the EU roaming space and the single payment zone in the European currency SEPA. 

As of the morning of May 27, 2022, over 679 children were injured in Ukraine: 241 children were killed and 438 wounded.

A mobile application and interactive map of munitions was launched in Ukraine. Around 2K people made the requests within a week. If you have come across an explosion-proof object, you can leave a request about it through the mobile application “Rozminuvannia Ukrainy” (“Demining Ukraine”) or through the interactive map of demining on the website of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

At the beginning of May, russian invaders destroyed the National Museum of Hryhorii Skovoroda in Kharkiv oblast, but the philosopher’s sculpture survived. Now the Ministry of Culture and the regional state administration have created a special fund to raise funds to rebuild the destroyed museum.

Boris Johnson offered Volodymyr Zelenskyy to create a new “political, economic and military alliance” which would be an alternative to the European Union to resist russia. The new alliance should unite countries unhappy with EU policies as well as Germany’s actions in response to russian military aggression.

Ukraine agreed with the US to grant temporary status to Ukrainians, allowing them to stay in the States for up to 18 months and to obtain work permits.

Eastern regions

The enemy continues to shell our units and tries to push them back Ukrainian defenders. 

According to the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Motuzyanyk, hostile russian troops are intensely firing along the contact line of contact and in the deep of our troops’ defense in Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts. The situation is tense, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine control it and are aware of the enemy’s plans.

Kharkiv oblast

The enemy continued to fire on the settlements of Kharkiv oblast at night. A boarding school in Liubotyn was damaged as a result of enemy shelling. Chuhuiv was also shelled at night. Private houses were damaged. Fortunately, there are no victims.

In Kharkiv, old address plates are being dismantled on the former Moscow Avenue, renamed in honor of the Heroes of Kharkiv. Kharkiv territorial centers opened hubs for collecting humanitarian aid for Kharkiv residents and displaced persons. 

Today, employees of the Office for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking went to one of the most dangerous districts of Kharkiv – Pyatihatok. Today, Kharkiv police brought people about 90 food kits, which volunteer organizations helped gather.

Towards Kharkiv, the occupiers are trying to hold their ground and prevent further advance of Ukrainian troops. Our intelligence reports that the occupiers have deployed the Borisoglebsk-2 REB complex (electronic suppression complex) in the area of ​​the Vesele settlement in Kharkiv oblast. Russians are trying to counteract our drones,” – said Defense Ministry spokesman Alexander Motuzyanyk at a briefing on May 27.

Among russian occupiers taking part in hostilities in Kharkiv oblast, there are mass riots, the Security Services of Ukraine report and publish interceptions of the occupiers’ conversation.

In the village of Shevchenkove, Kharkiv oblast, the russian military are looking to buy ammunition made in Ukraine at the local market. They explain that they want to commit a “crossbow” pretending to be a battle wound, and hope it will help them return home.

According to the intelligence data, in the temporarily occupied settlements of Kharkiv oblast (in Kupyansk, Velykyi Burluk, Shevchenkovo, Izium in Kharkiv oblast) people go missing more often. Most of them are 18 to 60 year-old men and young women. The disappearances are related to the russian special services in the occupied part of the region. Currently, all routes to Ukrainian-controlled territories are blocked. Vehicles with people trying to escape are carefully filtered and returned.

 Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. In addition, the village council states that the russian military is trucking out sunflower seeds from the occupied Borova in the Kharkiv oblast.

The servicemen of the anti-aircraft missile and artillery division of the 95th separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed another russian Ka-52 Alligator combat helicopter. The enemy helicopter was destroyed in Kharkiv oblast using the Perun portable anti-aircraft missile system. It has been 67th air targets on the combat account of the air defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Donetsk oblast 

The enemy is trying to force out our units of the village of Lyman and launch an offensive on Sloviansk. They fired mortars and rocket-propelled grenades on the settlements of Ozerne and Dibrova. They also made an air strike near Siversk.

In addition, the russians fired artillery at civilian infrastructure in the settlements of Novobakhmutivka, Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Pisk and Marinka.

Assaults in the areas of Komyshuvakha, Berestovo, Belogorivka were not successful. There is no water supply in Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka and 9 other settlements due to the damage to the Second Donetsk water supply system.

Based on the information provided by the Mariupol Mayor councillor, the so-called “new” authorities together with the russian guard are looking for Mariupol residents who have moved to Kherson oblast. The russian military is setting up places for compact resettlement and solitary accommodation for Mariupol residents and preparing buses to transport them back to the city.  

The occupiers deported 280 Mariupol residents, including 36 children, from Mariupol during the past 24 hours. They were taken to a filtration camp in the village of Bezymyane, said the mayor’s adviser Petro Andryushchenko.

Luhansk oblast

There were assault operations in the areas of Shchedryshcheve, Borivske and Toshkivka. The fighting continues. Severodonetsk is under constant russian shelling. The separatist “media” channel spread false statements by “LPR commanders” that the city was cut off from Ukraine. This is not true. The regional center has not been cut off. The fighting continues on the outskirts of the city. The russians entered the area of the Myr Hotel and the bus station. There is fighting. Our defenders managed to eliminate two russian company groups.

The Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway is completely under fire. It is dangerous to move along the highway. However, the delivery of humanitarian goods and evacuation are still possible.

Sergei Haidai explains that the russians will not be able to capture Luhansk oblast within the coming days, as analysts predict, the military will have enough forces and means to maintain defense. However, it is possible that not to be surrounded, Ukrainian troops will have to leave.

Today, 31 civilians were evacuated from Lysychansk.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

Today, Bujar Osmani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Northern Macedonia, visited Irpin as part of the foreign delegation. According to the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Oleksiy Kuleba, the representatives of Northern Macedonia were shocked by the damage on the housing sector in Irpin inflicted by the russian army.

On May 26, in Bucha district, SES specialists inspected and registered the consequences of the fires caused by the fighting. A total of 360 applications from citizens were processed. The work is underway. 

The city of Irpin and the occupied villages are gradually recovering from the rashist invasion. People are returning to their homes, cleaning their yards and planting vegetables.

The Office of the President informed that in Kyiv oblast :
1016 settlements were de-occupied;
restoration of electricity and gas supply is fully completed;
the work of the National Police was resumed in 650 settlements;
mobile communications and Internet were restored by 76%;
Ukrposhta opened its departments in 821 settlements;
restoration of passages through the destroyed bridges of Kyiv oblast is at the final stage.

In total, 22 man-made structures on public roads of local significance were damaged in Kyiv oblast due to the russian invasion.

The traffic on 20 bridges in different districts has already been restored by May 27. Temporary bridges, crossings, or detours are being built. The State Specialized Transport Service is rebuilding two bridges in Vyshhorod district.

Repair works are currently underway on the roads connecting Dymer-Bogdana with the bypass of the villages of Sukholuchcha and Rozvazhiv – Teterivske – Kukhari / in Lyubovychi / in Vyshhorod district.

In total, over 45 meters of the road will be restored. By June 10 the works are to be completed and communication will be opened.

Zhytomyr oblast

Due to russion missile and bomb strikes, the environment is suffering irreparable damage. Fires in Zhytomyr and Rivne oblasts, caused by oil depots shelling, resulted in over UAH 200 million in environmental damage.

On May 27, Zhytomyr residents joined in cleaning and clearing the yards of citizens whose houses were destroyed by air strikes. The initiative is called “strong hands”. Anyone can join the cleaning.

Chernihiv oblast

Based on the data provided by the SES in Chernihiv oblast as of morning of May 27, the territory of the region is being cleared of mines. During the day, pyrotechnic and underwater demining teams of the SES were involved in explosive devices disposal 34 times. They found and removed 180 items. In total, 24 794 explosive devices have been removed since the hostilities began.

During his visit to Chernihiv, Andriy Matsola, Chairman of the Board of Patrons of the Metropolitan Fund of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine stated that 600 families in Chernihiv would receive assistance in rebuilding war-torn homes. There was constant fighting, 400 houses were destroyed only in the private sector. Some houses will be repaired, others will have to be built from scratch. 

Sumy oblast

At night, the enemy fired on Sumy oblast again from its territory. From 4:30 a.m., mortar shots were fired every half an hour in the Shostka district. Civilian private houses were damaged on the outskirts of Seredino Buda. At half past six in the morning, the suburbs of the village of Stari Vyrky, Bilopil community, were fired upon with self-propelled howitzer. The enemy fired from its territory. No one was injured.

The head of the Sumy Regional State Administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyi states that eight Sumy Oblast communities have been included in the updated list of the Ministry of Reintegration. 

Konotop district: Novoslobidska rural territorial community;
Okhtyrka district: Velykopysarivska village territorial community;
Sumy district: Bilopil city, Krasnopil settlement and Yunakiv village territorial communities;
Shostka district: Seredino-Bud city, Esman and Shalyhyn settlement territorial communities.

These are the communities suffering the most from shelling from abroad. All internally displaced persons who have left these communities will receive financial assistance from the state.

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

This morning, the russian troops launched 3 missiles on Dnipropetrovsk oblast. The National Guard barracks were hit, 10 people were killed, 35 injured. There were significant destructions and damages.

“Dnipropetrovsk oblast is surrounded by three front lines. Therefore, there are more air raid sirens and more missile strikes,” the Head of Dnipro Territorial Defense Hennadii Korban informed.

Yesterday, near Volodymyrivka village in Kryvyi Rih region, the EOD specialists disposed of two unexploded missiles. Each missile, launched from Uragan multiple launch rocket systems, contains 30 cluster munitions.

The Head of Kryvyi Rih Military Administration Olexandr Vilkul informs that more than 1600 enemy ordnance have been cleared in Kryvyi Rih region since the war broke out.

The  Head of the Regional Council Mykola Lukashuk informs that currently there are a little more than 242K displaced people in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. That number includes 87K women and 60.5K children. Moreover, 55K displaced citizens are people with reduced mobility and those older than 60 years old. Almost 99K internally displaced people live in Dnipro and a little more than 44K reside in Kryvyi Rih.

In Dnipropetrovsk oblast, 4 more bus routes between towns and villages of the oblast have been resumed. In total, more than 190 itineraries are currently operating.

Cherkasy Oblast

Cherkasy region is holding the food supply front. The sowing is complete, and the planting area is the same as last year. Fields are mainly planted with corn, sunflowers, and wheat.

There are no changes in other central regions of Ukraine.

Southern regions

The situation in the south remains tense. The enemy continues to strengthen retreating positions. Previous attempts to approach the Ukrainian positions both in Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts failed. The invaders began to transfer the reserve from Crimea. In the opposite direction, the invaders continue to take agricultural products from the Kherson oblast to Crimea.

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Russian troops have increased the number of attacks on our troops, conduct aerial reconnaissance and carry out engineering equipment for their positions. The  enemy troops in Zaporizhzhia oblast build up the main forces in the areas of Orikhiv, Huliaipole and Velyka Novosilka. 

On May 26, russian occupiers shelled the residential sector of Komyshuvakha. Some houses were damaged. At the same time, the invaders shelled the village of Novoyakovlivka. Two residents were injured there and houses were also damaged.

The city of Orikhiv holds the line. Despite regular shelling, utility workers repair damaged buildings, volunteers bring food and medicines to the city. Locals patch mangled homes and tend the farm. Since the war broke out, over 200 houses were damaged in the city, and 20 people killed due to shelling.

Crimean engineers connected Berdiansk to 3 russian radio stations. In addition, the news of the occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporozhzhia oblasts, which propaganda called “liberated”, is broadcast every hour on the “Crimea” radio. 

In Berdiansk, the occupiers tried to persuade locals to switch to mobile networks of russian operators. They say that Ukrainian networks are unstable. At the same time, the Ukrainian mobile operators have repeatedly been specially “jammed” by the russian military.

The occupation authorities appointed a well-known Melitopol separatist Kateryna Umanets as gauleiter of the Kyrylivka community. In 2017, a criminal case on treason was opened against her. Since 2014, she has been hiding in Moscow and has recently returned to Melitopol.

Kherson oblast

​​On May 27, at about 2pm, a MiG-29 fighter of the Air Force of the AFU  shot down a Russian Su-35 fighter jet, which was hunted for Ukrainian assault aircraft in the skies of Kherson oblast.

 

 

The russian military is constantly shelling the settlements of Novovorontsovka community. Power and water are only partially supplied. Water pumping and treatment plants were damaged due to shelling. The power engineers restored the water supply. The service workers eliminate the consequences of shelling almost every day, but no longer have the materials for this.

According to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine’s Centre for Countering Disinformation, russia creates fake “humanitarian corridors” for residents of the temporarily occupied territories. Forced deportation is followed by forced passportization.

The occupation of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station threatens to flood the city and nearby settlements. A command post of the Southern Military District of the russian Army is currently deployed at the Kakhovka power station. Currently, two hydraulic units at the Kakhovka power station are out of order, which the occupants do not allow to repair.

Russian media, referring to an adviser of the so-called Crimean head, have spread the information that Kherson oblast is switching to the russian phone code +7 and new operators have already entered the occupied regions. Ukrainian mobile operators are currently operating in Kherson. However, according to the MOST online edition, on 26 May, SIM cards of russian mobile operator MegaFon started to be sold in Kherson.

According to the Ukrainian intelligence, occupants transported to Kherson all convicts and staff from penal colony #10 in the temporarily occupied Daryivka village, Kherson oblast. Currently, colony #10 is being used by the rashists as a place of residence for occupation army personnel. Military equipment is also located on the territory.

Mykolaiv oblast

In Mykolaiv oblast the night before, there was shelling of Kutsurubska and Shyrokivska communities. Air defence units also operated over the Ochakiv water area. There were no victims, according to preliminary information.

Over the past 24 hours, 20 people were injured as a result of shelling in Mykolaiv oblast. Most of the missiles during the day were recorded in Bereznehuvatska and Shyrokivska communities in Bashtanka Raion and Parutine village in Ochakiv region. Residential buildings were damaged.

There are issues with gas, water and electricity supply in some settlements of the former Vitovka region, specifically in Lupareve and Chervone.

Odesa oblast

According to the “South” Operational Command, the so-called humanitarian corridors for withdrawal of foreign civilian ships from Ukrainian ports by the russian side may be opened to approach the Ukrainian coast under the cover of civilian ships and then to build a shield for military ships from Ukrainian destruction.

Those in charge of conscripts’ transfer through the border were detained in Odesa oblast. According to the investigation data, the suspects provided the men with documents confirming their border crossing before the hostilities started. The investigation revealed that the detainees were transporting men of military age across the estuary to the self-proclaimed Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and then to the EU countries.

A territorial defence representative, who illegally used humanitarian aid, was arrested in Odesa. The man was receiving drones, quadcopters, body armour, kneepads, ground pads, medical and other supplies for the army for free. During a pre-trial investigation, law enforcement authorities established that the aid did not reach the military. The perpetrator made a profit of over 700K UAH from humanitarian aid during three months of illegal activities.

The Odesa oblast is planning to build 4 car parking lots with an average capacity of up to 200 vehicles. This is expected to help reduce traffic jams on roads leading to international checkpoints.

Western regions

Lviv oblast

It was peaceful in Lviv oblast. An air alarm sounded once a day, but there was no actual threat.

During this time, 16K people crossed the border at all checkpoints in Lviv oblast. Queues of both pedestrians and cars are kept at checkpoints.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The Mayor of Shepetivka reported that the russian language will be excluded as a discipline from local schools next year. This decision was made due to the full-scale russian invasion in the territory of Ukraine, numerous facts of forced russification and forced spread of russian culture embedded with chauvinism and fascism.

Chernivtsi

The command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that an enemy cruise missile was shot down over Chernivtsi oblast at night.
