It has been the 105th day of Ukraine’s resistance to russia’s full-scale invasion. The russian military is trying to gain control over Severodonetsk and block the AFU in the area of Lysychansk. Ukrainian soldiers thwart the attempts of russian hostile troops to seize the Bakhmut-Severodonetsk highway and successfully counterattack in Kharkiv region.

Russian troops are striking civilian infrastructure located in the frontline zone in the Ukrainian-controlled territory.

Ukraine briefly:

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the operational situation is as follows:

Towards Siversk, russian armed groups fired mortars at the civilian infrastructure in Khodyne, Ryzhivka and Velyka Pysarivka, Sumy oblast. There were also provocative flights of russian military aviation along the state border of Ukraine. In addition, the russian side continues to provide enhanced security of the section of the Ukrainian-Russian border in the Bryansk and Kursk oblasts.

In Slobozhansky direction, russia focused its efforts on keeping the seized positions.

The enemy shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Uda, Pytomnyk, Rtyshchivka, Ivanivka, Husarivka and others.

Towards Severodonetsk, the russians shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Pryvillia, Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Voronove, Toshkivka, Hirske and others.

Towards Sloviansk, the Ukrainian military successfully counters russia’s attempts to improve its tactical position towards the city. The occupiers are focusing their efforts on preparing for further offensive actions. The enemy shelled civilian infrastructure in Vilne, Adamivka, Dolyna and Tetianivka and launched an airstrike on Sloviansk.

Ukrainian soldiers are conducting defensive actions near the settlement of Dovhenke.

Towards Bakhmut, russia fired artillery at areas of Komyshuvakha, Vrubivka, Mykolaivka, Semihiria and New York. Russian assault and army aircraft carried out airstrikes near Nova Kamianka, Pokrovske and Klynove.

The Ukrainian military inflicted significant losses in the invaders’ manpower and equipment during an onslaught attempt near Berestove. Fighting continues in the area.

Towards Avdiivka, Kurakhiv, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, russian occupation forces shelled civilian infrastructure in Kamianka, Avdiivka, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Vuhledar, Mykilske and others. Russia also used assault aircraft near Marinka and Kamianka.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, as part of the next stage of checking the combat readiness of the Armed Forces of belarus. Certain units are being moved to permanent deployment points.

In the South Buh direction, the situation did not change. The enemy is trying to maintain its positions and prevent regrouping and strengthening of units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. He used artillery in the areas of Velyka Kostromka, Liubomyrivka and Novomykolaivka, assault and army aviation in the areas of Oleksandrivka, Kniazivka and Novodanylivka.

In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, russian occupiers continue to impose measures of the administrative and police regime, conduct searches of civilians, rob and destroy local infrastructure.

On the territory of the occupied Crimea, 8 kilometers from the administrative border with Kherson oblast, russia deployed Iskander-M missile systems. There is a threat of enemy missile strikes from the territory of the occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea on military and civilian facilities on the territory of Ukraine. Russian ships in the Black and Azov Seas continue isolating the area of military operations, conduct reconnaissance and fire support in the coastal areas.

The enemy blocks civilian shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

Ukrainians filed 195K applications for restoration of damaged property using “Diia” app. That’s at least 540K people who have lost their homes.

Russia stole about 600K tons from agricultural enterprises of Ukraine. The products were first exported to the territory of the occupied Crimea, and then to international ports.

At a press conference in Ankara, a journalist of Suspilne asked the Minister of the russian Foreign Ministry lavrov about the stuff stolen by russians in Ukraine: “What else from the looted, except grain, russia managed to sell?” The Minister emotionally reacted and replied: “You constantly have a headache about where and what to steal, do you think everyone does? I answer you, we are engaged in implementation of the goal that was announced publicly: to eradicate neo-Nazi regime pressure in the eastern Ukraine.”

At the summit on June 23-24, the European Parliament will recommend to leaders of EU states and governments to grant Ukraine the status of a candidate country for EU membership.

On Wednesday, Polish President Andrzej Duda began a tour of Southern European countries to persuade them to support granting EU membership candidate status to Ukraine. Duda will first travel to Portugal, where he will meet with Prime Minister Antomo Costa before arriving in Italy for talks with President Sergio Mattarella. Then the head of Poland will go to Romania to participate in the summit of the “Bucharest Nine”.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that the EU’s decision on the status of a candidate for membership for Ukraine will determine the future of the union as a strong association.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Yevhen Korniychuk calls for the sale of the Iron Dome missile defense system to Ukraine and states that the United States will not object to this. This will allow us to save our peaceful women and children from russian missile attacks.

The World Bank’s new $1.5 billion loan to Ukraine, approved the day before, is aimed at financing major government agencies so that the government can continue to function and provide services to the people. Funds will be allocated monthly. As part of this financing option, the World Bank undertakes to reimburse the government for all expenses for salaries to main categories of civil servants and educators on a monthly basis (starting from March, after the beginning of the war, at least until the end of the year), provided that salaries are actually paid in full. The loan was approved within the framework of the project “Support to Public Expenditures to Ensure Sustainable Public Administration in Ukraine” (or PEACE in Ukraine) and it is not a loan for the development policy. Financial guarantees to support this project were provided by the UK, the Netherlands, Lithuania and Latvia, as well as parallel funding received from Italy.

The Irish company Kingspan will invest 200 million euros in construction of a technology campus in Ukraine, in particular, for developing centralized heating solutions. “This investment is at the crossroads of three crises: the climate, energy and the crisis caused by russia’s war against Ukraine. The new construction technology campus will make a positive contribution on all three fronts, supporting Ukraine as it rebuilds its economy, meets demand in Central and Eastern Europe for energy efficient buildings, and helps Europe reduce its dependence on oil and gas imports,” said Kingspan Group CEO Gene Murtag.

Norway has provided 22 M109 self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine, including ammunition, spare parts and other equipment.

Law enforcement officers identified 9 russian occupiers, who drove more than 300 people to the basement of the school in the village of Yahidne in Chernihiv oblast and kept them in inhuman conditions as human shields or a long time.

The russian Orthodox Church said it was accepting the Crimean dioceses of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in direct submission to Patriarch Kirill. In other words, it is annexation of the Crimean diocese of the UOC-MP.

Sanctioned russian oligarchs are willing to donate billions to Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction in exchange for sanctions relief. The Minister of Finance of Canada Chrystia Freeland told her colleagues about this at a meeting of the G7 last week.

The court banned the Opposition Bloc. According to the court decision, the property of the party and all its cells is transferred to the state. But the decision itself can be appealed to the Supreme Court.

The fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who was not released abroad, returned to Ukraine.

In the occupied Mariupol, there is a medical collapse, the city lacks medicines and doctors.

Out of desperation, the occupiers began to “persuade” people over the age of 80 to return to work.

The russian side gave the first bodies of Ukrainian soldiers killed at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol to Ukraine.  210 bodies of murdered soldiers arrived in Kyiv. These are soldiers of the Azov regiment, the 36th Marine Brigade, the SSU, the State Border Guard Service, the National Police and others.

In Wroclaw (Poland an exhibition “Azov84” with photos of Mariupol defender and photographer Dmytro Kozatsky opened. It shows photos taken by him during 84 days of Azovstal protection. This exhibition is a great opportunity to demonstrate in Europe the other side of the war in Ukraine. We are grateful that we can show these photos to the Polish people, whose support and compassion in these times is invaluable.

Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to the Minister of Defence of Ukraine spokesman, Oleksandr Motuzniak, russia deployed another battalion tactical group near Vesele village, Kharkiv oblast (17 km northeast of Kharkiv) and is trying to hold its positions by shelling populated areas and the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The enemy strengthened the troops’ grouping in the mentioned direction. The enemy also keeps shelling the positions of our troops around Kharkiv. The Armed Forces of Ukraine hold the defense near Dovhenke.

On 8 April, the russian troops once again shelled Pyatykhatky village and destroyed an educational institution, School # 62. One of the floors is beyond repair. People are hiding from the shelling in another room of the school.

According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Civil Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov, 2 people were killed and 3 wounded as a result of shelling in Chuhuiv settlements. Lebyazhe and Korobochkyne villages were hit by the russian invaders.

The invaders also shelled Pechenihy from Grad and mortars: power grids, water pipes, and residential buildings were damaged. According to the Pechenihy village council, on June 08 the power transmission line was damaged as a result of russian shelling.

Due to russian shelling on 7-8 June, fires occurred in Kholodnohirsk Raion, Kharkiv, as well as in two districts of the region. Aсcording to the regional directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as a result of the shelling, private houses, a garage and a supermarket were damaged.

On the night of 7-8 June, a russian missile hit the Vostorh supermarket near the Industrialna metro station in Kharkiv. It was probably an Iskander from Belgorod. The missile hit the entrance of the supermarket, causing the facade and the ceiling of the 2 floors to collapse. According to Svitlana Diulina, director of the supermarket, communications mostly were not damaged. She wants to resume working at the supermarket and be able to see the market.

On the morning of June 8, the russian troops shelled Saltivka. 2 Kharkiv residents were injured as a result. Vehicles and residential buildings were damaged.

The invaders are going to sell Kharkiv grain to russia. The disgruntled farmers are demanded to prepare information on how much grain they plan to harvest and to provide all technical means and resources to repair destroyed bridges, roads and other infrastructure in the community.

Donetsk oblast

As of June 8, the Ukrainian troops are successfully resisting the enemy’s attempts to improve the tactical situation towards Sloviansk city. The Armed Forces of Ukraine caused significant losses to the enemy in manpower and equipment during an enemy assault near Berestove in Donetsk oblast.

The enemy shelled civilian infrastructure in Vilne, Adamivka, Dolyna and Tetianivka settlements. Airstrikes were launched against Sloviansk. The enemy shelled Komyshuvakha, Vrubivka, Mykolaivka, Semyhirya and Niu-York settlements with artillery. The enemy’s assault and army aviation launched air strikes near Nova Kamyanka, Pokrovske and Klynove.

Investigators of the State Bureau of Ukraine are investigating the treason of the mayor of Sviatohirsk, who in an interview with russian propagandists accused the Ukrainian troops of setting fire to the wooden skete of Sviatohirsk Lavra.

In Kramatorsk, the bodies of 7 people were found under the rubble of the Novokramatorsk machine-building plant. Russian invaders shelled the enterprise on June 5.

There is a catastrophic shortage of doctors in occupied Mariupol. To solve the problem, the invaders are asking pensioners over 80 to return to work.

On June 8, russian invaders shelled Bakhmut at around 8 am. They hit a building where people were hiding. According to preliminary information, there were casualties.

According to the head of the Donetsk Regional Civil Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, there are still issues with water and power supply in Donetsk oblast.

Luhansk oblast

The situation as of June 8: the invaders shelled civilian infrastructure in Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Voronove, Toshkivka and Hirske.

According to Hayday, Governor of Luhansk Oblast, 40 people were evacuated from Luhansk oblast during the day, 34 from Lysychansk (including 1 child) and 6 from Vrubivka.

Orcs control most parts of Severodonetsk. The industrial zone is ours, the rashists are not there. Fighting is only in the streets of the city. Lysychansk is completely under Ukrainian control. Also, the russians are chaotically shelling the city, there is huge destruction of the residential sector. There is no threat of an encirclement of our troops in the Luhansk oblast. More than 90% of the region is temporarily under russian occupation. Humanitarian cargo were delivered.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

A Roman Catholic priest from France, Patrick Desbois, visited Irpin, Bucha, and Borodianka. Since the russian invasion of Ukraine he and the Yahad-In Unum organization have been working on the initiative the Russian War Crimes Project: Gathering Evidence. The project is being implemented in cooperation with the NGO Babyn Yar Holocaust Memorial Center, where Desbois is the head of the academic council.

The radiation monitoring network disrupted due to the russian occupation in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone on February 24 has resumed its work. The data obtained showed radiation levels consistent with those measured before the russian invasion.

In Kyiv, a missile fire spotter was sentenced to 8 years in prison. The man was recruited in 2014, received a russian passport, and then was instructed to be on standby. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, he has been correcting enemy missile attacks on power and water supply facilities.

About 66K internally displaced persons have been registered in Kyiv. This includes over 9600 children. Most of them come from Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kyiv oblasts.

As of today, information analysis centers began to operate in the region. These centers provide residents of the settlements who suffered from russia’s military aggression with advice on a number of issues. Today such centers are opened in Makarov, Borodianka, and Dymer.

The restoration of the liberated settlements continues, reports Oleksiy Kuleba, head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration. In Kyiv oblast, a bypass road near the destroyed bridge over the river Irpen has been paved. From now on, this section of the M-07 Kyiv-Kovel highway provides transport connections from Hostomel, Bucha, and Borodianka to Kyiv.

The State Emergency Service of Kyiv oblast has reported their units’ involvement in inspection and removal of explosive objects in the liberated settlements and territories of the oblast as of June 6, 2022.

Kyiv schools are getting ready to start the new school year in offline mode. The first-year classes are already more than 80% full, that is 25K children. The enrollment requirements for schools have been made as simple as possible this year.

Since June 1, kindergartens resumed their work with almost 400 children out of 100K that were initially enrolled there before martial law was imposed.

Zhytomyr oblast

In Zhytomyr oblast, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a russian agent who was providing the enemy with intel about Ukrainian defenders and the movement of equipment. The woman faces at least 15 years of imprisonment and up to life in prison.

Starting September 1, Ukrainian schoolchildren and students will resume their studies on the premises of educational institutions. Specialists from the Department of Education and Science of Zhytomyr Regional Administration together with the territorial communities inspect if the available bomb shelters can provide safety for teachers and students in case of air-raid alarms.

It is planned to send the first experimental train to Kyiv from Zhytomyr.

During the past week, eight religious communities and two priests in Zhytomyr oblast transferred from the moscow patriarchate to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

Chernihiv oblast

Today, on June 8, at about 1 p.m., the russian army once again shelled the border areas of Chernihiv oblast. Four explosions (presumably artillery fire) were recorded near Horn from the direction of Novi Yurkovychi (russian federation). There were no losses among personnel or equipment. Information regarding damage to infrastructure is being clarified.

Nine russian torturers who set up a ‘basement of death’ in Yahidne have already been identified.

The State Emergency Service in Chernihiv oblast gave an update regarding the demining of the territory as of the morning of June 8.

In Chernihiv, Boris Johnson was ordained as a Cossack – the British Prime Minister became Boris Chupryna. The decision to ordain Johnson as a Cossack was made by the Chernihiv Cossack community of the Ekaterininska Church. A letter certifying this was sent to London.

Sumy oblast

Starting at 11:30, mortar shelling was carried out from the territory of russia in the direction of the village of Sopych. Observers recorded 10 hits. According to the North operational command, there are no casualties among personnel and equipment.

In the afternoon, the enemy started shelingl Khotyn and Yunakiv communities with mortars and large-caliber machine guns.

During the shelling, several enemy munitions hit the premises of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. This facility was opened in 2015 to detain illegal migrants and currently is not in use.

At about 3 p.m., 6 strikes on the territory of the Serednio-Budska community were recorded. As a result, it hit a civilian building.

After 4 p.m., russian planes launched two air strikes on the Krasnopil community. 1 person was injured and 1 car destroyed.

As a result of shelling, the residents of Bilopillya in Sumy oblast are being evacuated to safe places. Volunteers of the organization “Ukrainian Borders (Ukrainski rubezhi)”  and the Polish Center for International Assistance help those who want to leave the dangerous areas.

TEN dsgn architectural studio  presented a project for the reconstruction of a modernist railway station in Trostyanets, Sumy oblast. The station building was damaged by russian shelling. This project won third place in the Re: Create UA competition for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Today, enemy shelled the area of Velyka Kostroma, Kryvyi Rih district with artillery. Only fields were shelled, fortunately the territory of the settlement was not struck. The day passed quietly in other areas of the region.

Russian troops committed 23 ecological crimes in the Dnipropetrovsk oblast. In particular, in Dnipro city,  Novomoskovsk, Synelnykiv, Pavlograd and  Kryvyi Rih districts. Russian occupation forces launched missile strikes on oil depots, enterprises and the airport. One of the missiles hit the Samara river.

In the fourth month of the full-scale war with russia, the flow of refugees has declined in Dnipro. 350 people are living now in the 3 shelters of the  ‘Kust’ Fund.

Currently, there are almost 257K internally displaced persons in Dnipropetrovsk oblast, who are provided with stored essentials. Homeowners are ready to provide 2 645 free places for internally displaced persons in  villages and cities of the region. Dnipropetrovsk oblast ranks second highest after Lviv in a number of shelters.

The planting season is completed in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. About 800 hectares of buckwheat is planted in the region. Buckwheat shortage is planned to be replenished from other Ukrainian regions.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi,  40 tons of food, more than 2500 sets, was provided to internally displaced persons from the ‘World Central Kitchen’ International Fund. 

The charity fair was held in the village of Pavlysh, Onufriivka community, Kirovohrad oblast. During the sale of goods, charity events and the auction, 61K hryvnias were collected for the Armed Forces of Ukraine needs. Poltava oblast

Since the beginning of June, about 2K food kits have been provided for internally displaced persons in Poltava region. Volunteers of ‘Helpgroup’ Charity Fund provide them in Poltava and Kremenchuk city.

25 hospitals render free dental care to residents and internally displaced persons in Poltava oblast.

There are no major changes in other regions of Central Ukraine.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The russian army did not wage active hostilities. Its main efforts were focused on occupied territories, firing on the positions of Ukrainian troops, strengthening certain areas by mobilization reserve and avoiding fire from our troops. The main forces and means of the invaders continue to be concentrated in the regions of Orikhiv, Huliaipole.

Russians fired MLRS on civilian infrastructure and peaceful households in Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Komyshuvaha, Tavriiske, Novodanylivka, Novoandriiivka, Polohy region, Kamianske, Vasylivka region.

A russian missile was destroyed by a Ukrainian air defense unit in the suburbs of Zaporizhzhia. The russian troops fired at the positions of Ukrainian troops along the contact line from the full range of weapons in the settlements of Vilne Pole, Charivne, Zaliznychne, Kamianske, Belohiria, Huliaipole, Poltavka, Novodanylivka, Novosilka, Chervone, Malynivka, Orikhiv, Olhivske, Uspenivka. 

As a result of russian artillery strikes near the village of Tavriiske and Kamyshuvakha, three people received shrapnel wounds.

During the past day, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated 19 soldiers, wounded 14, destroyed 6 armored combat vehicles, 3 vehicles, and 1 mortar. At the same time, two russian ammunition depots were destroyed.

On the frontline in Zaporizhzhia oblast, the bodies of the killed servicemen were exchanged between Ukraine and russia according to the “50 to 50” formula. 37 of them are Azovstal heroic defenders.

Oleksandr Starukh, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, met with a Kyiv delegation led by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin. During the meeting, the participants discussed the humanitarian and security situation in the region.

In Zaporizhia oblast, officers of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a collaborator who had been assisting the occupiers in fighting against the Armed Forces since the beginning of the full-scale aggression. Investigators found that the deputy of the Velykobilozerska village council voluntarily sided with the enemy and began collaborating with the occupation authorities. He provided the occupiers with food, fuel and lubricants for the needs of the aggressor’s troops.

This year, due to the full-scale russina invasion, the holiday season will not be opened in Zaporozhzhia oblast. Residents of coastal areas are advised to refrain from resting on the coast of the Sea of ​​Azov because of the potential danger to their lives.

On June 3, 2022, the Zaporizhia Regional Development Agency started implementation of “The Strength in Unity” project with the support of the project Fostering economic participation of vulnerable groups, including IDP in the Sea of Azov region implemented by the German Federal Company “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit” (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German government. The main goal of the project is to provide psychological support to the crisis categories of the population of Zaporizhzhya city, internally displaced persons, residents of the occupied territories and residents of areas where hostilities are taking place.

On June 6, Rafael Mariano Grossi, director of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said that Ukraine had allegedly asked him to visit the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.

The official noted that the Zaporizhzhia NPP has lost its online connection with the IAEA. Energoatom sees this message as another attempt to get to ZNPP by any means to legitimize the stay of the russian occupiers and, in fact, to approve all their actions.

Mykolaiv oblast

Today at night the russian troops covered Mykolaiv with “Hurricane” again. The enemy continues to put psychological pressure on the civilians of the city trying to destroy the infrastructure and industry of the regional center.

During the past day, the town of Bashtanka and the villages of Kaluga, Zelenyi Hai, Zasillya and Murakhivka were under fire. One apartment building and six private houses, a stadium and other civilian infrastructure were damaged. There are dead and injured civilians.

Yesterday pyrotechnics removed fragments of the anti-ship missile in Mykolaiv oblast.

Voznesenskyi area received another humanitarian aid from the Coordinating Humanitarian Staff at the Bilgorod-Dnister District Military Administration of Odesa region. Within a few days, 22 tons of flour was delivered there.

The Red Cross has transferred five new water carriers to Mykolayiv. There is a car with the increased passability among the transferred cars. Mykolayiv received 150  water tanks. They were placed in schools, kindergartens, hospitals and other public facilities. From there, city residents can collect purified water.

Odesa oblast

The situation remains stable and under control in Odesa oblast, including in the areas bordering Transnistria.

The russian army has set up air defense on Zmiinyi (Snake) Island to protect itself from attacks from the shore.

Russian naval forces continue to blockade shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. Four missile ships and a submarine equipped with 36 Caliber cruise missiles are ready for attack.

This year’s harvest in Odesa oblast may be in danger due to lack of storages for the new harvest. According to Acting Deputy Mayor of Odessa Oleg Bryndak four million tons of grain are blocked in the ports of Odessa, if the reserves stored in the elevators are taken into account, more than 20 million.

In Odesa, a man was sentenced to eight years in prison with confiscation of property for cooperating with representatives of the so-called “LPR”. The investigation established that the man supported illegal invasion and conduct of russian terrorists and used the Telegram messenger to provide information on military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, checkpoints, border detachments, etc.

During the full-scale invasion, seven Odesa residents made more than a thousand fourth-class bulletproof vests from materials for cars and Finnish armor steel. Every day men try to make hundreds of bulletproof vests. The volunteers receive inquiries from the military and them to hot spots of Ukraine.

Kherson oblast

Hostilities continue  in Kalinov, Velykooleksandrivska, Vysokopilska, and Novovorontsovska territorial communities.

The situation on the territory of the temporarily occupied Kherson region remains complex. Currently, there is no mobile connection and partly the Internet in the area, which is under temporary occupation. Communication was established only with Muzykivska, Skadovska, Borozenska, Vysokopilska, Kochubeivska, Novovorontsovska, Novokakhovska territorial communities.

According to the information received, the humanitarian situation in the communities has hardly changed.

Russian military deployed Iskander-M missile systems near Kherson. There is a threat of missile strikes on military and civilian facilities in Ukraine.

Kherson has been suffering from constant night smoke for the second day. According to preliminary information, the smoke comes from the city landfills.

The number of Escherichia coli and enterococci in the Dnipro water has increased several hundred times compared to the regulations. It complicates the epidemic situation in Kherson and may increase the incidence of acute intestinal infections, including cholera among the city’s population.

The occupying power of Kherson oblast offers money and humanitarian aid for obtaining russian passports to locals. However, there are very few people in the region who want to obtain russian citizenship.

It is almost impossible to leave and enter the occupied region, only through the Crimea.

The russian military abducted Oleksandr Voronyi, the head of the Chervonomayatskyi Starostynsky District of the Novorai Rural Territorial Community of the Beryslav District, and Gennady Golovin, an employee of the village stronghold.

Western regions

Zakarpattia oblast

In Zakarpattia, monitoring of all accommodation points for evacuees continues. There are 293 temporary accommodation points for evacuees and 233 food service points in the oblast. This was reported by the Main Department of the State Food and Consumer Service in the Zakarpattia oblast.

Today, four Starlink installations were handed over by Oleksandr Patskan, Deputy Chairman of the Oblast Military Administration, to the 101st Separate Territorial Defense Brigade. They will be sent to the front line to the locations of Zakarpattia military. In addition to Starlink terminals, the TerritorialDefense transferred uninterruptible power supplies and solar panels to them from the Fedor Spyg Charity Foundation.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The Regional State Administration discussed the development of Strategy for the Integration of IDPs within the framework of the Prykarpattia Embraces project. Today, more than 144K IDPs live in the area. Many of them will stay in our oblast for a long time. 5,600 IDPs have now been housed in educational institutions.

Volunteers handed over cars for transporting the wounded to the new battalion of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade. They spent several weeks buying a car for the military. This car is the second project of the Port Frankivsk Foundation, which started its work on March 1. According to its co-founder Oleksiy Melnychuk, nine co-founders and several volunteers are looking for cars, drones, thermal imagers, tactical ammunition and other necessary items in the city and abroad, including in Poland.

 Volyn oblast

Since the start of the full-scale war in Volyn oblast, almost 68K IDPs have been welcomed. As of June 8, 67 998 people from other regions were resettled in the oblast. This was reported on the website of the Volyn Regional State Administration. Most people came to Lutsk district, and the least – Kamin-Kashirsky. Currently, up to 1K people can be resettled in the oblast.

Humanitarian cargo with medicines was shipped to fighters of the 100th separate brigade of territorial defense of Volyn from a medical hub located at Volyn Oblast Military Administration. 

Lviv oblast

In Lviv, at the Town Hall, a banner was hung in support of the heroes from “Azovstal”, who were in russian captivity. The banner “Free Mariupol defenders” is a call to the world community to do everything possible to release the captive soldiers.

Rivne oblast

Rivne special forces improve tactical medicine skills. Soldiers of the special police company of the Main Department of the National Police in Rivne oblast were trained for two days by local medical instructors. Basics of medical sorting, initial examination of the victim and signs of life, assistance to the unconscious victim, algorithm to stop various types of bleeding, application of tourniquets, turnstiles, evacuation and transportation of the wounded – police learn the basics of medical care in war.

Ternopil oblast

The current issues with cars are being solved in Ternopil oblast. The fleet of the Ternopil police has been replenished – the Volkswagen Touareg SUV was handed over by volunteers for the needs of the special unit. The community of Ukrainians from the American city of Chicago donated for purchasing the car. The SUV will go to the combat zone, where it will help our soldiers in the performance of official duties.

Plastuns from Ternopil oblast issued and repaid the stamp for the 35th anniversary of the birth of the Hero of Ukraine Viktor Gurnyak. He was killed during a mortar attack near village of Smile in Luhansk oblast when he was transporting wounded comrades from the battlefield.

Ternopil-based electric bike manufacturer Eleek has reoriented part of its capacity to produce the required stuff for special units of the Ukrainian army. The company explained that fighters have already tested the vehicles in combat conditions. Taking into account the military needs and feedback, Ternopil engineers made some constructive changes to the civilian version of the Atom electric bike. The equipment was painted in a protective color, unnecessary elements such as lighting and mirrors were removed, a powerful power bank with USB chargers, 220- and 12-volt sockets was installed. Soldiers often connect the Internet to the battery of the bike from “Starlink”.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Volunteers reported in the social network that in Khmelnytskyi, volunteers who passed a military training course, took an oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people. The solemn event took place today in the Avangard Volunteer Formation of Khmelnytskyi City Territorial Community # 1. 

Seven killed defenders from Khmelnytskyi oblast were awarded the title of “Honorary Citizen of the Volochysk City Territorial Community”.

Today Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Simchyshyn announced the opening of a center to help Mariupol residents. The YaMariupol Center will open in Khmelnytskyi in two weeks. Similar centers have already been established in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and Vinnytsia.

Chernivtsi oblast

CEO of the Czech company “ICE” Tomas Vranek announced that a defensive concrete structure printed on a 3D printer was transferred to Chernivtsi oblast from the Czech Republic. It will be tested by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After improvement, such facilities will be reproduced in the oblast. According to him, thanks to the program, buildings made of different materials can be printed in a few hours. The shape of the structures can be designed in minutes. The uniqueness of the project is that you can print buildings from any concrete. The defense structure is mobile, it can be delivered to any military position.

Volunteers personally restored a century-old house in Bukovyna to house migrants. Housing was provided free of charge, and building materials were donated by philanthropists. It dates back to Austrian times. It was empty for two decades. Initially, 20 people will settle here in a week. Later it is planned to convert the attic into several separate rooms and the number of tenants will double.
