It has been the 104th day of a full-scale war with russia.

Severodonetsk in Luhansk oblast has been the hottest spot of the front line for several weeks. The street fighting continues in the city, an “artillery duel” is taking place. After the death of a French journalist, the evacuation was stopped in the oblast.

The front is moving closer to Bakhmut in Donetsk oblast. Shops continue to close in the city. All food is transported from Dnipro. Bread was last brought to the city on June 3 centrally.

The russian military authorities concentrated up to three battalion tactical groups of the russian army near Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts, but no strike grouping for a possible repeated offensive was observed.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm, the operational situation is as follows:

Towards Sloviansk, the enemy focuses on preparing for the offensive on the city. They shelled Velyka Komyshuvakha, Dolyna, Kurulka, Hrushuvakha, Chervona Poliana and Shnurky.

Towards Severodonetsk, the enemy shelled Ukrainian units and civilian infrastructure with barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of Lysychansk, Borivske and Metiolkino.

Towards Bakhmut, Ukrainian soldiers successfully hold back assault actions near Komyshuvakha. The enemy’s attempts to storm towards Svitlodarsk and Vuhlehirsk TPP were unsuccessful.

Near Nahirne, Ukrainian defenders fired on hostile units. After an unsuccessful attempt to storm, the enemy retreated to the previously occupied position.

In the South Buh direction, the enemy focused on conducting reconnaissance, maintaining the seized borders and restoring lost positions. In addition, russian artillery is trying to prevent creating favorable conditions for a counter-offensive by Ukrainian troops in Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy fights to keep the seized borders, continues shelling Ukrainian troops and mines the area.

Towards Siversk, the enemy did not conduct any active actions. During the day, the enemy shelled Senkivka, Chernihiv oblast, Sopych, Konstantynivka, Stari Vyrky and Velyka Pysarivka, Sumy oblast.

Towards Avdiivka, Kurakhiv, Novopavlovsk and Zaporizhzhia, the invaders did not conduct any active hostilities. In Besarabsky, Volyn and Polissia directions, there were no significant changes.

In the Black Sea, three carriers of sea-based cruise missiles of the Kalibr type are ready to be used.

In the waters of the Black and Azov Seas, the enemy ships are used to block civilian navigation in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

Ukraine began receiving the first bodies of fighters who were killed at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol. Relatives of soldiers who left Azovstal are called from russian phone numbers and mocked or threatened.

The SSU exposed a resident of Kyiv, who created 20 pro-russian Internet media in Ukraine at the request of the russian federation.

From September 1, Ukrainian students will return to study at educational institutions offline.

The occupation administration of Kherson held a meeting of directors of local schools and demanded from September 1 to start the educational process according to russian educational programs. Only two accepted the offer out of 60 present. 

The russian Foreign Ministry said that in Turkey on June 8, russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will discuss resumption of peace talks with Ukraine with Head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry Mevlut Cavusoglu. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that neither he nor the Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba was invited to a meeting in Ankara on June 8, at which, in particular, the issue of Black Sea shipping will be considered. Turkey and russia have reached a preliminary agreement on ensuring the export of Ukrainian grain by sea corridor from the Port of Odesa. Ukraine does not comment on the information and is sceptical of these statements.

In the occupied Kherson oblast, russian invaders keep about 600 people in torture chambers, as well as take abducted residents to the annexed Crimea. The people are detained in inhuman conditions and tortured.

Ukraine has created a headquarters to prepare for the next heating season. It will include representatives of local authorities, heat suppliers, the regulator, as well as Naftogaz.

“World powers should not put pressure on the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, trying to force him to adopt an unfavourable peace agreement with russian President vladimir putin,” British Prime Minister Boris Johnson told his ministerial team on June 7.

Since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion, 8.7 million people have crossed the state border of Ukraine in both directions: 5.4 million people to leave (including 4.8 million Ukrainian citizens) and 2.8 million Ukrainians to enter. The total average daily traffic is now at the level of 80-85K people in both directions. Queues for exit from Ukraine were not recorded. The workload of checkpoints for entry into Ukraine by passenger vehicles in neighboring countries also significantly decreased.

730 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression of the russian federation. According to the official information, 263 children were killed and more than 467 wounded.

Eastern regions

Due to losses of personnel and military equipment, the horde continues to actively use civilian infrastructure and repair-restoration facilities in Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts.

Kharkiv oblast

Hostilities continue. Today, the enemy holds the occupied lines, continues shelling our troops, and mines the territory. Attempts to advance towards Dovhenke and Dolyna continue near Izium. Our defenders hold their positions and give the enemy an appropriate response. The enemy suffers heavy losses in manpower and equipment.

After russian shelling of Kharkiv on the night of 7 June, rescuers recovered a 52-year-old man under the rubble of a house. He was not seriously injured. A 70-year-old woman was injured. 2 people were injured in Kharkiv.

At around 3 am on June 07, russian troops shelled the Kyiv Raion, Kharkiv. As a result of the shelling, windows in apartment buildings were broken, and private houses were destroyed and damaged. On the afternoon of June 07, residents of the district cleaned up the broken glass.

In the region, residential houses, commercial facilities and critical infrastructure were shelled by the invaders. In Derhachi city, a private enterprise was struck and caught on fire. More than 20 vehicles were destroyed by shelling in Slobozhanske village, Krasnohrad region. Forests and grass in the region caught on fire due to shelling.

1 person was killed and 2 injured in Derhachi city. 1 person was killed  in Chornohlazivka village, Bohodukhiv region. In Izium region – 1 injured. In Udy village, Bohodukhiv region- 1 injured.

A 56-year-old resident of Oleksiivka was killed and more than 10 houses were damaged by shelling at around 4 pm. According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Civil-Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov, 3 people were killed and 6 injured as a result of russian shelling in Kharkiv oblast during the day on June 07. Kharkiv, Cherkaska Lozova, Slatyne, Kharkiv region and Korobochkyne, Chuhuiv region were hit by artillery. The extent of the destruction and the final number of casualties is being verified.

Donetsk oblast 

The russians shelled Donetsk 21 times. According to the National Police, as a result of it, children were injured. The invaders shelled 15 settlements: Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Krasnohorlivka, Chasiv Yar, Mykolaivka, Marinka, Kurakhove, Niu-York, Orlivka, Pisky, Bohoiavlenka, Pervomayske, Netaylove, Heorhiivka, Berkhivka.

The enemy bombarded with rocket launchers, artillery, Grad, Smerch and Uragan multiple rocket launchers. At least 16 private and 7 apartment buildings, a poultry farm, and an enterprise were destroyed.

The enemy is concentrating its efforts to prepare for an offensive towards Sloviansk. Attempts by the invaders to onslaught Svitlodarsk and Vuhlehirska TPP failed. Thanks to successful air defence operations, the intensity of enemy aviation is reduced. The enemy concentrates its efforts on ground operations and destruction of infrastructure.

Ukrainian soldiers are also successfully deterring assault actions near Komyshuvakha village. Near Nahirne village, our defenders inflicted fire strikes on the invaders’ units. After an unsuccessful assault attempt, the enemy withdrew to the previously occupied position.

During the current day, June 7, the servicemen of the Joint Forces repelled 11 attacks by the russian Army. According to United Forces operation headquarters, fighting is ongoing in two locations. 

Mairupol City Mayor Councilor Petro Andriuschenko reports about the terror in Mariupol: children are forced to sing the russian anthem, for refusal to do this they are threatened to be arrested and put in a cellar. Invaders are also recruiting citizens to work in concentration filtration camps. The water supply in Prymorsk region, Mariupol, was resumed. Water is poured onto the city streets, although people have nothing to drink and there is also a shortage of technical water.

According to Mariupol activist Diana Berh, Lithuanian film director Mantas Kvedaravičius died not from artillery fire, but in russian captivity in Mariupol. The director was captured in front of his mother-in-law in the centre of Mariupol and never seen alive again.

Luhansk oblast

The enemy shelled units of our troops and civilian infrastructure with barrel and rocket artillery. The cities of the free Luhansk oblast “cover” each other. All populated areas are being destroyed with enemy fire daily.

As of 7 June, the russians are struggling to seize Severodonetsk and cut the Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway. It is hard to hold the positions in the regional centre, the invaders do not control the city. The Armed Forces of Ukraine fortified their positions in the city and are holding their defence. The situation is steadily difficult. According to Oleksandr Striuk, head of Severodonetsk Civil Military Administration, there are street battles and the rashists concentrated lots of artillery there. 10-11K residents remain in Severodonetsk.

Lysychansk is constantly under heavy shelling by orcs. The city is shelled exclusively with large-calibre heavy weapons. They are deliberately targeting places where people can hide. Around Hirske everything is on fire. The worst situation is in Toshkivka and Zolote.

12 people were evacuated from the community, including 2 with limited mobility, and humanitarian aid was brought to the settlements. In addition to 16 people evacuated by the police, 28 people were assisted by the troops. In total 56 residents were evacuated from the region today.

According to the head of the Luhansk Regional Civil Military Administration, Ukraine needs long-range artillery that can repel enemy artillery, then the orcs won’t be able to shell our cities, and in direct battles russia is definitely losing out.

Northern regions

Russia keeps part of its forces at the border with Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts to demonstrate its presence and restrain the operations of Ukrainian units.

Kyiv oblast

The head of the National Police and the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine visited the sites of mass graves of civilians killed by the occupants and the torture room in Bucha.

“There were a total of 116 bodies at this burial site. Most were men. Some of the killed had bullet wounds, mine blast injuries, and some bodies were burned. A total of 1 137 people were murdered in the area of Bucha, and 461 people were killed directly in the town of Bucha,” said the Head of the National Police.

Ambassador Bridget Brink noted that the United States will continue to support the National Police when documenting russian war crimes in Ukraine.

First Deputy Speaker of the Estonian Parliament Hanno Pevkur visited Kyiv oblast. The foreign delegation visited the sites of mass graves of civilians killed by russian occupants in Bucha and inspected destructions in the residential sector of Irpin.

The bodies of the fallen Azovstal defenders have arrived in Kyiv. One third of the 160 bodies were members of the Azov regiment. The identities of other bodies belonging to different units are being established. Over time, the families of the killed will be called in for examination and identification procedures. There are ongoing negotiations. Other matters regarding further exchange of bodies of the fallen heroes are to be addressed.

The State Emergency Service of Kyiv oblast reported its units were involved in the survey and clearance of explosive objects in the liberated settlements and territories of Kyiv oblast as of June 6, 2022. Territory demining works are continuing.

According to Oleksiy Kuleba, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, on-air of a telethon, about 5K private houses in Kyiv oblast were completely destroyed as a result of the war. More than 16K buildings are to be reconstructed. Those who became homeless are provided with the opportunity of temporary accommodation in boarding houses and hostels. The construction of modular settlements in Bucha, Irpin, and Borodyanka is accelarating.

The administrator of online resources with russian propaganda was detained in Kyiv region. The suspect created and maintained about 20 online sources spreading materials denying war crimes committed by russians. In exchange for his work, the man received payment from the territory of russia.

In the north of Kyiv oblast, a car tripped on the mine and blew up. The driver ignored the ban and warning signs. There were no casualties.

The architect Oksana Oksyukovska created the concept of a passenger terminal “Mriya” on the site of the destroyed military airfield in Hostomel.

The airport will be able to serve up to 1000 passengers per hour (passenger traffic can be increased up to 2000 passengers/hour in the future). This project also includes the construction of roads connecting Kyiv with Hostomel and the airport, as well as leaving a dedicated space for a memorial to the Mriya airplane.

The author of the project proposes to turn this airport into an “effective alternative” to the “Boryspil” airport. Meanwhile, she suggests that the territory of the airport “Kyiv” (Zhuliany) should be used for construction of residential buildings.

Zhytomyr oblast

Yesterday, the First Deputy Speaker of the Estonian Parliament Hanno Pevkur paid a visit to Zhytomyr oblast. Among other things, they inspected the 25th Lyceum in Zhytomyr destroyed as a result of the russian airstrike.

A preliminary agreement has been made between the Estonian government and the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration on Estonian assistance in restoration of the Zhytomyr oblast. Currently, there is a list of 15 objects to be reconstructed due to russian aggression.

In Zhytomyr oblast, the Security Service of Ukraine prevented an infiltrator from entering the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. A former DPR member was detained while attempting to enlist.

Chernihiv oblast

A decision was made to change the duration of the curfew in Chernihiv oblast. Now it will last from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Demining of Chernihiv oblast continues. High-priority work to restore damaged infrastructure is underway.

In Chernihiv oblast, the Security Service of Ukraine neutralized a criminal gang that was preparing to help the enemy in case of re-invasion. The group consisted of three members of criminal circles involved in disruption activities by the russian special services. The weapon systems and equipment of russian special forces were found in their possession. All gang members were detained.

There was a press tour regarding the work of the State Emergency Service’s EOD teams on demining the territories of Ukraine experiencing the russian occupation. Journalists were able to witness how the explosive ordnances are recovered, sorted, moved to a safe distance, and disposed of.

Currently, a demining crew consisting of 45 workers and 17 pieces of equipment is working on mine clearance in Chernihiv Oblast 

Renovation work has started at Chernihiv Regional Hospital and Chernihiv Regional Blood Centre.

Sumy oblast

Last night the enemy shelled the Velyka Pysarivka, Khotyn, and Vorozhba communities in Sumy oblast. The shelling was carried out with mortars and self-propelled artillery units. A total of about 40 strikes were recorded. There were no casualties.

On the night of June 7, the russian troops shelled Seredyna-Buda in Sumy oblast. The shelling damaged 6 private houses, a farm building, a car, and a power line. A fire broke out in the residential building due to the shelling.

State Emergency Service informed that a 96-year-old woman and her son were inside the house when shelled. She was hospitalized.

The Sumy Region Police are recording the consequences of enemy shelling and are considering opening a criminal investigation on the grounds of violating the laws and customs of war.

During the past 24 hours, 18 explosive ordnances were found and identified on the territory of Sumy oblast, including artillery shells, signal mines, and fragmentation ammunition for a grenade launcher found in Konotop, Okhtyrka, and Sumy districts.

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

At night, on June 07, the village Velyka Kostromka, Kryvyi Rih district, Dnipropetrovsk oblast was shelled with the Uragan MRL system by russian troops. The head of the District Military Administration Sitnichenko informed that one man was wounded.

30 unexploded munitions after the shelling were de-mined in the village of Mala Kostroma. All munitions were found in the household area. Besides, 9 cluster munitions from the Uragan MRL system were de-mined on the territory of Zelenodolsk community.

In just 3 days, from June 3 to 6, 354 units of ammunition were destroyed by pyrotechnic experts in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. In total, from February 24, 3151 munitions were de-mined in the region, most of them are modern shells.

Pro-Ukrainian activist and volunteer Maksym Hoshovskyi, who has not been able to obtain a Ukrainian passport for 8 years, can be deported to russia. Through the court, the volunteer wants to claim his right to live legally in Ukraine. The court received all necessary documents, but the court hearing date has not yet been defined.

Poltava oblast

Spotter and driver of russian Grad MRL system, who shelled Kharkiv city, were sentenced for 11.5 years in prison. Defendants fully admitted their guilt. They were punished for violating the law and war rules. 

The Svyato-Duhivska religious community in Poltava oblast was joined to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Until then, the church was a part of  the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

Vinnytsia oblast

The Vinnytsia Humanitarian Hub continues to collect humanitarian aid from the whole world. Thanks to the Fund ‘Podilska Hromada’ and business, 260 tons of aid were sent to the military.

There are no major changes in other regions of Central Ukraine.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Along the demarcation line, active hostilities continue. The Ukrainian military repels the enemy attacks. Clashes are taking place in Orikhiv, Huliaipole. Komyshuvakha and nearby settlements are suffering from constant shelling.

Military personnel of the Defense Forces towards Zaporizhzhia are on the defensive. 14 soldiers were killed, 8 soldiers wounded. 5 Grad multiple rocket launchers, 2 units of armored combat vehicles, 4 units of motor vehicles and Orlan 10 UAV were destroyed. One tank and an armored combat vehicle were seized.

Yesterday, three settlements in Polohiv district were shelled by russian troops. As a result of the attack, five people received shrapnel wounds, including a 10-year-old child.

Three private houses were destroyed by russian shelling in the village of Dobropillya.

In Huliaipole, russian shells shattered the roofs of residential buildings, smashed windows and damaged the front door to the house.

The russian army also fired on the territory of the tractor crew in the village of Verkhnyaya Tersa, where the local gas station was located. As a result, more than 6 tons of diesel fuel spilled from the tank.

The enemy fired on a kindergarten in the village of Stepnohorsk in Vasylivka district. About a hundred windows were shattered. In total, 8 shells of the occupier hit Stepnohorsk yesterday from 18:00 to 19:00. One person was injured and hospitalized.

 

At night, as a result of shelling, the main gas pipeline to the Polohy and Hulyaipole gas distribution stations was damaged. Over 14K consumers were left without gas supply.

Zaporizhzhia continues to live in frontline conditions. The following settlements are temporarily occupied: Berdyansk district, Melitopol district, Vasyliv district, Pologi district (except for Orikhiv and Huliaipole).

The russian occupiers withdrew their troops from checkpoints in the Melitopol district and partly from Vasylivka. According to the governor of Zaporizhzhia oblast Oleksandr Starukh, it could be done for rotation purposes.

Zaporizhzhia authorities reported that starting from June 8, 2022, a new train will run between Zaporizhia-2 and Dnipro-Holovny. The schedule of train Dnipro-Holovnyi – Zaporizhzhia-1 might be changing.

In the garden center in Matviyivka, specializing in growing and selling flowers and conifers, owners and volunteers weave camouflage nets and sew various items for the Ukrainian army: first aid kits, bulletproof vests, belts, covers, etc.

Mykolaiv oblast

At night, the russian army fired on Velyka Kostromka, where two private houses were destroyed and one civilian was wounded. Also, the enemy fire destroyed the buildings of the local administration and sports school, as well as a private house in Bashtanka. Two locals were killed and one was injured.

In the morning, on June 7, Mykolaiv was shelled again. The information is being clarified.

The Ukrainian aviation struck at ammunition depots of the russian army in the Mykolaiv area.

Five Mykolayiv museums will receive special wooden boxes, bubble wraps and other packaging materials to prepare exhibits for long-term storage during the war and possible emergency evacuation. The Museum of Shipbuilding and Fleet and the Mykolayiv Regional Museum of Local Lore “Staroflotsky Barracks” have already received equipment to secure storage facilities.

Odesa oblast

Explosions were heard in Odesa at night. According to the local newspaper, it was the Ukrainian air defense.

Counter-sabotage measures and explanatory work among the population on warnings and restrictions under martial law continue in the Odesa region.

A russian naval group controls the northwestern part of the Black Sea, blocking navigation. The threat of missile strikes from the sea remains high. There are currently four ships and one submarine equipped with 36 cruise missiles.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated UAH 250 million to ensure the safety of navigation of Ukrainian ports in the Danube region and transportation by rail. The money will be provided to compensate for the damage caused by the war.

During the visit, the Commissioner for Culture and Media of Germany Claudia Roth to Odessa announced that Germany plans to support Odesa in reconstruction of the Philharmonic theather and digitization of books, as well as to help get on the main list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Kherson oblast

Ukrainian helicopters attacked russian forces in Kherson oblast.

There is no mobile connection and partly the Internet on the territories of Kherson oblast, which is under temporary occupation. Local authorities managed to establish contacts with some communities, including Muzykivska, Skadovska, Vysokopilska, Kochubeivska, Novovorontsovska and Novokakhovska territorial communities.

According to the Crimean SOS newspaper, doctors in Kherson have started to resign because they are being forced to cooperate with the russian military and the so-called “authorities”.

The occupying power of Kherson oblast requires railway workers to cooperate for half the salary.

Collaborator Igor Semenchev Jr. has been appointed by the occupation authorities as the so-called “deputy head of the military-civil administration of the Kherson oblast.” He will control the Property Fund of the Kherson region/ The fund should register all public and private property in the Kherson region, which is temporarily seized by russian troops. In fact, this is how the raiding of the ocuppiers is hidden.

Ternopil oblast

A public discussion on renaming 13 streets in the city of Soviet or russian origin will continue until June 30. One of the streets to be renamed is Lomonosova Street, offered to be renamed Knyazya Sviatoslava Street. Chaldayev Street in Ternopil is also planned to be renamed Lubomyr Husar Street. The Ternopil City Council saidAdult citizens of Ukraine registered in Ternopil City Territorial Community can leave a comment on renaming the street in two ways: through the Electronic Consultations and Discussions portal by following the link or in writing through the Ternopil City Council Appeals Department at Ternopil, Listopadova Street, 6 with the last name, first name, patronymic and address of the person submitting them.

In addition, the city is arranging premises for the business of displaced women. The office of the Western Ukrainian Hub of Public Activity hosted a presentation of a large-scale project “RE: Ukraine Ternopil region”, which plans to build housing for temporarily displaced persons. “In the Ternopil oblast, modular houses for migrants will be built in Zbarazh territorial community, where a land plot of 40 hectares has already been allocated. Thanks to the construction of such houses, it will be possible to provide housing for about 5 545 people. Zbarazh was chosen because of its advantageous logistical location, proximity to Ternopil, and the availability of a railway connection that will help temporarily displaced persons find employment”, the presentation said. The total cost of the project for almost 5 500 people will be about $ 70 million.

In Ternopil, progressive food will be made for the fighters on the front line. Olena Gavrilenko during a conversation with Ternopil Mayor Serhiy Nadal and Vice President of the National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce of Ukraine Taras Demkura, demonstrated her know-how on how she and her team make sets of dried vegetables for borsch and soups. The mayor agreed to purchase the necessary equipment and organise such production in Ternopil.

Zalozets community has already welcomed 800 IDPs.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Frankivsk they paid final respects to the Hero killed in battle. A soldier from Ivano-Frankivsk, Andriy Nebor, was killed in Luhansk oblast.

A car was delivered to the front from Prykarpattia. According to the Nadvirna City Council, thanks to volunteer funds, joined by residents of Nadvirna district and the community, UAH 16K were collected and given to a representative of the Azov Regiment to purchase a car for the needs of the combat unit.

Co-founder of the Charitable Foundation “Pure Heart” Vasyl Vyshyvanyuk informed that with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, philanthropists donated the necessary equipment to the Ivano-Frankivsk Military Hospital. Among transferred equipment are the MX7 ultrasound diagnostic system equipped with ultrasonic sensors L 13-3Ns, C5-1s, defibrillators-monitors, operating tables and lamps, syringe and vacuum pumps, electrocardiographs, vacuum wound therapy kits.
