Ukraine briefly:

It has been the 102nd day of the full-scale war with russia is underway.

Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts have been key areas of fighting for a long time. Odesa and Mykolayiv are regularly attacked by russia. In the seas, the occupiers are blocking Ukrainian ports, disrupting trade and, in fact, blackmailing the world. In the Kharkiv direction, the russians are actively defending and shelling civilian infrastructure, and in the Slavic, Lyman and Bakhmut directions they are trying to advance. In the east, the enemy shells dozens of settlements every day, destroying them.

The Ministry of Defense believes that Kyiv remains the main target of the russian occupiers, so it is always thereunder threat. Today, the Darnytsia Car Repair Plant in Kyiv was hit. Ukrzaliznytsia says that there are no “tanks” there as the russian propaganda. In the morning, a russian Caliber missile targeted at Kyiv flew critically low over the South Ukrainian nuclear power plant.

Putin threatens: “If Kyiv receives long-range missiles, russia will draw conclusions and use its means of destruction on those targets that have not yet been hit.”

According to General Staff of the Armed Forces as of 6 pm the operational situation is as follows:

In Kharkiv direction, the enemy conducted an active defense, focusing its efforts on maintaining the occupied borders and border areas north of the city of Kharkiv. In order to increase the stability of the defense, they fortify their positions and mining approaches to them.

To restrain the actions of the Defense Forces, the enemy is conducting intensive artillery and mortar shelling of the positions of Ukrainian units. In addition, the enemy fired on civilian infrastructure in the areas of the settlements of Tsyrkuny, Ruski and Cherkasy Tyshky, Staryi Saltiv. He fired missiles at Korotych settlement.

In Sloviansk direction, the enemy’s efforts are focused on continuing the offensive towards Sloviansk. The enemy fired on civilian infrastructure in the areas of Chepil, Dibrivne, Virnopillya, Dovhenke and Bogorodichne.

The occupiers tried unsuccessfully to conduct offensive and assault operations in the areas of the settlements of Bogorodichne and Dovgenke.

In Donetsk direction, the enemy launched air strikes on civilian infrastructure in the areas of Slovyansk and Lysychansk.

In Lyman direction, with the support of artillery, the enemy resumed the offensive near the village of Sviatohirsk, has significant losses in manpower, weapons and equipment. The enemy conducts assault operations towards Old Caravan. Fighting continues.

In Severodonetsk direction, the enemy fired at Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure in the areas of the settlements of Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Toshkivka, Ustynivka with mortars, artillery and multiple rocket launchers. 

In Bakhmut direction, enemy units shelled the settlements of Komyshuvakha, Mykolayivka, Belogorivka, Pokrovske, and Dolomitne. The enemy used assault and army aircraft near Bakhmut and Berestov.

The occupiers carried out assault operations in the areas of Belohorivka and Mykolayivka. The enemy suffered significant losses in manpower and equipment. There is no success, fighting continues.

There are no active hostilities in the Avdiivsky, Kurakhivsky, Novopavlovsky and Zaporizhzhia directions. The enemy fired on civilian infrastructure in the settlements of Zaitsevo, New York, Toretsk, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Uspenivka, Orikhiv and Kamyanske. There are enemy airstrikes caused by operational-tactical and army aircraft near Novoselivka, New York, Marinka and Kamyansky.

In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy continues shelling the Defense Forces units with artillery, rocket-propelled grenade launchers, mortars and tanks. In order to support the offensive, it is rapidly rebuilding transport and railway infrastructure in the temporarily occupied territories. The enemy continues to use electronic warfare to prevent the use of UAVs  by the Ukrainian Forces.

In the South Buh direction, the occupiers fired on the positions of Ukrainian troops and tried to counter-battery. The enemy conducted air reconnaissance using UAVs. They used artillery in the areas of the settlements of Nikolaev, Pribuzke, Luch, Blagodatne, Shiroke and Tokarevo.

The russian occupiers carried out assaults in the area of ​​the settlement of Bila Krynytsia in order to restore the previously lost position. After the fire damage, inflicted by the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the enemy troops retreated to their former positions.

There are no enemy hostilities in the Volyn and Polissia directions.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy is intensively guarding areas of the Ukrainian-Russian border in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. He carried out mortar shelling of civilian infrastructure near the village of Gremyach, Chernihiv region.

262 children were killed and 467 injured in Ukraine due to a full-scale russian invasion. These figures are to be verified. The work is underway to clarify them in places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories. According to available data, most children were affected in the following oblasts: Donetsk – 189, Kyiv – 116, Kharkiv – 112, Chernihiv – 68, Luhansk – 53, Kherson – 52, Mykolaiv – 47, Zaporizhia – 29, Sumy – 17, Zhytomyr – 15 , 16 children were injured in the capital Kyiv.

Two people, including an 8-year-old boy, were killed in a mine blast on June 3 on a beach in the occupied Mariupol. People must also line up for at least two days to get drinking water. The occupiers are forcing the city’s residents to work for food, and the “humanitarian” aid is given only to retirees.

Ukrainian fighters from the Azovstal plant, who are in the russian captivity, are in satisfactory conditions and waiting to be exchanged, but food and water are scarce, said Kateryna Prokopenko, the wife of the commander of the Mariupol Azov Regiment, Denis Prokopenko.

The occupiers abducted and going to judge British citizens Sean Pinner and Andrew Hill, as well as Saadoon Brahim, a Moroccan national. They are threatened the death penalty. According to the militants, the men took part in Ukraine’s armed aggression to seize power in the DPR.

The Verkhovna Rada will introduce a bill to write off consumer loans for movable and immovable property destroyed as a result of the russian invasion of Ukraine, said Danilo Getmantsev, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Tax and Customs Policy. “A person does not have to pay a debt for a non-existent object,” he explained.

The European Union has developed a plan to stop using russian gas, which includes increasing imports of liquefied natural gas from the United States or other countries, as well as expanding the use of renewable energy sources.

In a Pentecost Sunday address, Pope Francis called on pilgrims to St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican to call for “real talks” on a ceasefire.

During the week, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine received 38 tons of drugs from donors and charities, as well as ambulances and an oxygen station.

Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

The enemy was on the defensive. They concentrated main efforts on holding the established positions and border areas southwards from Kharkiv. The invaders are firing on the Armed forces of Ukraine in Kharkiv oblast and bombarding the civilian infrastructure of settlements with artillery, rocket launchers, howitzers and tanks. The russian army is attempting to assault Dovhenke in Izium direction. The Izium war zone is the hottest spot. To support the offensive, the enemy is accelerating the repair of transport and railway infrastructure in the temporarily occupied territories. The enemy continues employing the radio electronic equipment to prevent Ukrainian troops from using the UAVs. 

The russian troops fired on the villages of Chepil, Dibrivne, Dovhenke and Bohorodychne. To increase their defensive potential, the enemy is constructing and fortifying the positions and mining the tactical approaches. To limit the Ukrainian troops’ actions, the enemy is intensively bombarding our units from artillery and howitzers. Moreover, the enemy fired on the civilian infrastructure from the settlement of Tsyrkuny, Ruski and Cherkaski Tyshky, Staryi Saltiv. The enemy launched the air strike on the settlement of Korotych. Prior to this, at night, on June 04, the russian invaders bombarded Korotych aerodrome in Kharkiv oblast with missiles for the third time. 2 hangars and aircraft were destroyed. 

Halyna Minaeva, head of the Chuhuiv city council, reported in her Telegram channel that 1 civilian was killed, one wounded as russian invaders shelled Chuhuiv on June 05. 

The community head Viktor Kovalenko reported to Suspile TV that russian invaders fired on the village of Chornoglazivka, Zolochiv community with Grad rocket launchers. One woman was killed, one house was damaged, another one damaged. The russian army fired on the village of Lemischenko, Zolochiv community, for the first time. The missile hit the power station. 

A 45-year-old man was killed as a result of shelling of Cherkaska Lozova, Derhachi community, based on the data provided by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration. Two people, a 68-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man, were wounded in Balakliia. 

Donetsk oblast

According to the air assault army of Ukraine, in Donetsk oblast, our units of the separate 25th Sicheslav air trooper  brigade shot down the enemy Ka-25 “alligator” helicopter using the Ihla air defense system.  

On June 05, according to Oleksandr Honcharenko, Kramatorsk head, the russian army launched an air strike on Kramatorsk. “There was an air strike on Kramatorsk at night. They liberate us from the industry. According to the preliminary data, there are no casualties, but 2 enterprises were badly damaged”, informed the city head. 

In Mariupol, 2 people, including an 8-year old boy, were killed by the mine explosion. Mariupol residents line up to get the drinking water for several days. They have to secure their spot in the line which is pre-registered for several days in advance. Based on the councilor to the city mayor Petro Andriuschenko, only elderly people can get the humanitarian aid. Other residents can get only under the conditions that they will help clearing the rubble of damaged buildings or perform other works.  

Bakhmut was damaged. The agricultural enterprise was damaged by the strike. At 14:15, the chief directorate was notified explosives were detected at the enterprise, and it was ignited. 

Luhansk oblast

The Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out the сlearing operation and were pushing forward. A number of strikes within the 5 upcoming days will increase since the russian army is tasked with occupying the regional center or Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway until June 10. 

At night, from June 04, June 05, russian invaders fired on the humanitarian hub in Lysychansk. There are no casualties and wounded. The humanitarian situation is acute. Police men, officers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, soldiers and volunteers evacuated 68 people from Lysychansk. 

Bakhmut highway is not used due to constant shelling. 

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

This morning the enemy launched several missiles targeting Kyiv. At around 6 am, they were detected and shot by the air defense units. One cruise missile was eliminated. According to the preliminary information, the rashists fired the missiles using Tupolev Tu-95 planes from the Caspian Sea, informs the ‘Center’ Air Force Command. 

4 missiles hit Darnytsia rail auto repair facility in Kyiv. One railway worker was injured. The Ukrainian Railway denies the russian Defense Ministry’s claims that there were tanks and other armored vehicles on the territory of the facility. The plant repairs grain carriers used to export grain from our country, said Oleksandr Kamyshyn, board chairman of the Ukrainian railway company ‘Ukrzaliznytsia’.

The U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink, visited Borodyanka. She inspected the sites where the russian occupiers were stationed.

A parliamentary delegation from the Republic of Korea, headed by the Chairman of the ruling party “People’s Power” Lee Jung-seok paid an official visit to Kyiv oblast today. The foreign delegation visited the burial sites of the tortured civilians in Bucha and checked the destroyed residential quarters in Irpin.

Two months after Kyiv oblast was liberated from the invaders, police are still recording the aftermath of their war crimes. Police found the body of a civilian man near the village of Vyshhorod. According to preliminary information, the occupiers had killed him with a gunshot to the head. 

Yesterday, the Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration met with the residents of Dymer and Kozarovichi in the Vyshgorod district. In the village of Dymer, 614 buildings were affected by the russian aggression, 90 were completely destroyed, and the factory of one of the most powerful window manufacturing enterprises in Ukraine was damaged. According to Oleksiy Kuleba, it is of primary importance to create appropriate conditions for the residents to return to their own homes and restore the livelihood of the settlements.

Kyiv Regional Military Administration published an update on the mine clearance results in Kyiv oblast.

Today, the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Korea, headed by People’s power ruling party Lee Jun, visited Kyiv oblast. The foreign delegation went to burial sites of tortured civilians in Bucha and examined the ruined residential districts in Irpin. 

After two months of Kyiv oblast liberation from russian occupiers, police have been documenting their war crimes. Near the village of Vyshehrad, the police officers found the civilian man’s body. According to the preliminary data, the invaders killed the man by shooting him in the head. 

Zhytomyr oblast

Restoration works continue in many towns and communities of Zhytomyr oblast. As of today, the majority of objects and territories of the oblast affected by the hostilities have already been surveyed and assessed. For several weeks builders have been repairing private houses and apartment buildings in Ovruch town in the north of Zhytomyr oblast.

The total area of broken and damaged windows in the oblast today exceeds 17,000 m². This amounts to almost three soccer fields.

Zhytomyr oblast is included in the list of 10 regions that are part of the state housing program for displaced persons. In particular, the construction of apartment buildings for displaced persons in Zhytomyr and Korosten will be a very important step. This will provide several hundred apartments for people who were forced to escape the war and became homeless.

Chernihiv oblast

The enemy strengthened the security of areas along the Ukrainian-russian border in Bryansk and Kursk oblasts. They fired mortars at civilian infrastructure near the settlement of Hremyach.

Member of the United States House of Representatives, Ukrainian-born Viktoria Spartz visited Chernihiv.

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Kryvyi Rih district was shelled during the night by artillery. Two houses were destroyed, six houses were damaged in Velyka Kostroma and Mala Kostroma villages. The library was affected in Velyka Kostroma village. Fortunately, there are no victims.The enemy also fired on fields in Shyrokiv community.

On June 4, the head of the Kryvyi Rih military administration Oleksandr Vilkul informed that the situation in Kryvyi Rih district is fully controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the military administration.

According to available information, the collision line was contaminated with mines by the enemy. Since February 24, rescuers have de-mined more than 2K cluster munitions in the Kryvyi Rih district. In particular, 93 cluster munitions from the Uragan and Tornado MRLS systems were de-mined in the first days of summer.

A number of mine safety courses were launched for internally displaced persons from Kherson oblast, who plan to return home. They should know how to act in emergency situations.

Poltava oblast 

Since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, Poltava oblast has been a reliable rear and humanitarian hub. The head of the Poltava Regional Administration Dmytro Lunin informed that  about 200K displaced persons were sheltered in the region,  more than 9.3 thousand private homeowners sheltered about 32K internally displaced persons.

Since the beginning of the war, medical institutions in Poltava region provided medical care for more than 1,500 soldiers defending our country on the front lines. More than 5K internally displaced persons are provided medical care in the region. 526 babies were born in Poltava oblast by women who had to move from other regions.

The military and law enforcement officers of Poltava region received 500 bulletproof vests and 500 helmets from Ferrexpo company. Some of them have already been handed over to Poltava military. All citizens, businessmen and volunteers of Poltava region work together for the common Victory.

There are no major changes in other regions of Central Ukraine.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

There is no change in the south-east. The enemy did not conduct any active offensive actions. An air strike by Su-25 aircraft was carried out near Kamyanske. The main forces and means of the invaders continued to concentrate near Orikhiv, Huliaipole and Velyka Novosilka, Donetsk oblast and reinforced their units near Vasylivka.

Russian forces shelled the positions of our forces’ units along the contact line in Kamyanske, Orikhiv, Malynivka, Olhivske, Zelene Pole, Temerivka, Novopil, Novosilka, Chervone, Vremivka, Uspenivka, Huliaypole, Novodanylivka, Zaliznychne, Yurkivka, Mala Tokmachka and Bilohirya settlements. 

Fires broke out as a result of artillery shelling by russian troops. For example, 3 flats burned in Huliaipole, and 4 private households in Orikhiv were on fire.

In Tokmak city, the occupation pseudo-authority appointed Shapoval Valeriy Dmitrovych as head of the department of youth and sports of the Tokmak city council. The collaborator agreed to cooperate with the enemy and carry out their orders.

For the last 24 hours, our soldiers eliminated 8 enemy personnel, and 19 wounded; destroyed 2 tanks; 1 armoured combat vehicle; 4 vehicles; 1 mortar. 1 enemy unit position was also destroyed.

As a result of the russian armed aggression in Ukraine, as of 5 June, 29 children were injured in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

As of 5 June, 22 596 consumers in 80 settlements of Zaporizhzhia oblast are without power supply due to damage to power supply lines, poles and equipment.

The first Craft Museum in Zaporizhzhia, a museum of architecture, hosted a charity tour. Organizers raised funds for the Zaporizhzhia territorial community volunteer formation.

Mykolaiv oblast

During the day, Mykolaiv was shelled 3 times – with Uragan multiple rocket launchers, and 152 and 203-calibre artillery. As a result of the shelling, 3 people were killed and several civilians were severely injured. Apartment buildings and private cars in a residential area were damaged and a large warehouse was burned out.

At dawn, Mykolaiv oblast was again attacked by a massive air missile strike. 2 missiles were shot down by anti-aircraft defences. From the direction of the Black Sea and russian territory, air-launched cruise missiles attacked the Black Sea coast of Mykolaiv oblast, the ports and grain storages.

On the morning of 5 June, the enemy shelled Ochakiv city. Firefighters extinguished 3 fires caused by the shelling.

Odesa oblast

In the Black Sea, a group of enemy ships continue to threaten to launch missile strikes from 4 surface ships and 1 submarine.

Kherson oblast

On the border of Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts, Armed Forces of Ukraine were fighting against the russian army to improve their defense borders.

In Kherson oblast, russian troops attacked Armed Forces of Ukraine positions with Ka-52 helicopters and then, supported by armoured personnel carriers and tanks, tried to recover their lost positions towards Sukhyy Stavok and Lozove. During the fighting, Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 6 armoured personnel carriers and one T-72 tank of the russian army.

In liberated Mykolaivka city, russian troops in a vehicle ran into an observation post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian troops eliminated them. An Orlan-10 UAV was also destroyed on the front line.

The situation in the temporarily occupied Kherson oblast remains persistently complicated. There is no mobile communication and partially no internet in most of the region.

Communication was restored only at some settlements. According to preliminary information, the humanitarian situation in the communities slightly changed.

During the night of 4-5 June, russian troops’ shelling left Novovorontsovka settlement without water supply. Part of the settlement is also without power supply.

In Kherson oblast, the occupation authorities threaten local businessmen for refusing to use russian roubles.

Synhenta LLC issued an official statement condemning the appointment by the occupation authorities of company employee Stanislav Sheremeta as “head” of ES Askaniyvske state enterprise. The company terminated labour relations with the collaborator.

Near Vysokopillia settlement, Kherson oblast, around 20 locals tried to enter Ukrainian-controlled territory. The russian military let 11 people out.

Western regions

Volyn

As of June 2, four enterprises that have moved from combat zones have been officially registered in Lutsk. One of them is the Kharkiv enterprise for the manufacture of orthodontic appliances. There were three laboratory workers in Kharkiv, and now there are three in Lutsk. The premises, where orthodontic, boxing and joint caps are now made, were provided to Kharkiv residents by entrepreneurs from Lutsk.

Zakarpattia

In Zakarpattia last night, border guards of the Chop detachment detained two men who were trying to cross the border illegally.

Ivano-Frankivsk

Since the start of the full-scale russian-Ukrainian war in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, about 2K couples have married. This is 300 more marriages than in the same period of 2021. At the same time, the number of divorces decreased.

 Lviv

An air alarm sounded twice in Lviv oblast over the past 24 hours. The threat came from the Black and Caspian Seas.

On June 4, 18K people crossed the border at all crossings in the Lviv oblast. There have been trucks, buses and cars lining up at checkpoints.

Rivne

Rivnebook saved almost 250K copies of books from the threat of destruction due to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by russian troops.

Two book publishers from Kharkiv, Vivat and Osnova, applied to Rivnebook, and at the end of March and the beginning of April, three trucks with Ukrainian books were delivered to the company’s warehouse. To help sell books by Kharkiv publishing houses, the company’s bookstores launched a campaign “Support Kharkiv – buy a book from Kharkiv publishing house.”

Ternopil

Yesterday, Druha Rika band performed at a charity concert. The funds raised will be used to purchase SUVs for the 95th Assault Brigade.

 Khmelnytskyi

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed a new head of the Shepetivka District State Administration of Khmelnytskyi Oblast. Alexei Glushakov became the new chairman.

 Chernivtsi

The outwear production company moved from Khrakiv to Chernivtsi oblast in Khotyn community.

Previously, the company employed 180 people, some of them moved to western Ukraine with the company.

Entrepreneurs are now looking for more than 16 seamstresses who will sew outerwear. If the production can be established promptly, entrepreneurs are ready to provide more than 10 jobs.
