In Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation remained unchanged.

Towards Siversk, there is the enemy’s buildup in the borderline areas of Bryansk and Kursk oblasts.

In Slobozhansky direction, the enemy is defending previously occupied positions and tries to prevent the advance of Ukrainian units of the Defense Forces towards the state border of Ukraine.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy carried out artillery shelling of Bairak, Dementiivka, Kapitolivka, Kharkiv, Korobochkine, Pechenihy,Tsyrkuny, Verkhniy Saltiv.

Towards Sloviansk, the enemy shelled with mortars, barrel artillery and multiple launch rocket systems Chepil, Dolyna, Hrushuvakha, Morosivka, Pryshyb. The invaders are trying to create favorable conditions to continue the offensive towards Izium – Sloviansk.

In the area of Krasnopillia, Ukrainian soldiers inflicted significant losses on the enemy conducting a battle reconnaissance.

Towards Lyman, the invaders used artillery near Maiaky.

Towards Sieverodonetsk, the enemy continues firing with barrel and reactive artillery in the areas of Bila Hora, Metiolkine and Ustynivka. The invaders tried to conduct assault actions to gain full control over the city of Sieverodonetsk, but they did not succeed.

As a result of fire damage and assault actions, the enemy has partial success in Metiolkine, trying to gain a foothold there. Our soldiers repelled an assault near Syrotyne.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy carried out an airstrike on Berestove.

Towards Avdiivka, Novopavlivske and Zaporizhzhia, the enemy continues systematic shelling to prevent regrouping of our troops into other directions. Barrel and rocket artillery is used in Malynivka, Novodanylivka, Opytne, Orlivka, Shcherbaky, Temyrivka, Vodiane, Zhelanne.

In the South Buh and Tavriia directions, the enemy shelled Kvitneve, Novohryhorivka, Oleksandrivka, Pervomaisk, Shyroke with artillery.

In the Black and Azov Seas, there is a rebase of the Black Sea Fleet. The enemy continues to suffer significant losses in the course of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine.

Ukraine has conducted another exchange of prisoners of war with the russian federation on a 5 to 5 formula. Five Ukrainian citizens returned home. All those released are civilians illegally detained by the occupation forces. It was also possible to return the body of one of the deceased defenders of Ukraine, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. Work on returning all captured Ukrainians continues.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited front positions of Ukrainian troops in Mykolaiv oblast, where the information about the current situation at the front was discussed. He communicated with defenders and presented them with state awards, as reported by the President’s Office.

Over 906 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of a full-scale invasion of russia, 323 of them were killed. This was reported in the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine says that the capability of the belarusian army invading Ukraine without russians’ assistance is very low.

´Infrastructure losses during the war with russia have reached $ 104 billion,´ said Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. The government will present a plan for Ukraine’s restoration next month.

Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

The russian troops shelled Kharkiv in the afternoon. According to preliminary information, the industrial zone of the city was hit – a missile fell in Industrialnyy district, Kharkiv. In the same area, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine engineers found the remains of a so-called heat trap. The engineers found a deceptive target from the Iskander missile, its marking is 9P899, which means it leaves behind a false heat trail that the air defence reacts to. According to preliminary data from the Regional Department of State Emergency Service, there are no casualties.

Overnight, MLRs hit the Kyiv district, Kharkiv. The balconies of the third-floor building caught on fire. One of the utility companies was struck in the city. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Russians shelled Derhachi, Tsyrkuny and Zolochiv communities. At night they shelled Fartushne village for the first time. A rocket hit the premises of an agricultural enterprise. There were no casualties. 3 residents were hospitalized: 2 in Pervomaysk and 1 in Ruska Lozova.

Invaders shelled a gas processing plant in Izium region, Kharkiv. According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Civil Military Administration, Oleh Siniehubov, the fire continues to be extinguished. The large-scale fire broke out after several russian missile strikes. According to preliminary reports, there are damaged private houses.

Donetsk oblast

According to the Donetsk police, russian troops launched 5 strikes on the residential sector and Avdiivka Coke Plant on June 17. The head of the Avdiivka Civil-Military Administration, Serhiy Lehenkyy, informed that the head of the Avdiivka Civil Military Administration, Vitaliy Barabash, is injured.

Occupation resources report that 5 people were killed and 12 others injured as a result of shelling.

According to the head of the Sloviansk Military Administration, Vadym Liakh, evacuation of people from Donetsk oblast is underway. The Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders are assisting in it.

Luhansk oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian armed formations tried to gain full control over Sieverodonetsk, Luhansk oblast, but the Ukrainian troops did not allow them to do so. As a result of gunfire and assault actions, the russian troops have had partial success in Metiolkine settlement and are trying to gain a foothold. According to the GS, the Ukrainian troops caused significant losses to russians near Krasnopillia when they tried to conduct a reconnaissance battle.

According to the head of the Luhansk Regional Civil-Military Administration, Serhiy Hayday, russian troops are trying to gain full control over the regional centre and to “cut off” the Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway. The enemy has no success.

According to him, russian troops carried out air strikes on Borivske, Syrotyne. Near Metiolkine, Surotyne, Ukrainian troops repelled an assault of russian troops, while the invaders retreated with losses to their previously occupied positions, as well as near Hirske.

Fighting continues in Sieverodonetsk. The russian troops also failed to conduct an assault outside the city.

According to Hayday, russian troops are shelling the area near all bridges which became already unfit for movement and opened fire on Synetskyy and Pavlohrad near Sieverodonetsk.

There is another devastation at Azot plant in the territory of the transport workshop. People, hiding in the shelters of the Sieverodonetsk Azot plant, refused to evacuate. The Ukrainian troops recorded the refusal on video.

Residential areas near the former Donsoda plant in Lysychansk were heavily shelled twice. 13 houses were destroyed in Hirske, 14 in Vrubivka.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

Roman Ratushnyi who died near Izium was given his last farewell on Maidan Nezalezhnosti square in Kyiv. On Thursday, residents of Kyiv welcomed the fallen hero in his hometown with all respect. Roman was a well-known activist in the capital, head of the public organization “Save Protasiv Yar” and a reconnaissance officer of the 93rd Independent Kholodnyi Yar Mechanized Brigade. There are plans to name a street in Kyiv in his honor. The city mayor has promised that Protasiv Yar, which Roman tried to save from real estate development, will always remain a green area.

The curfew in Kyiv oblast will last from 23:00 to 5:00 on a daily basis from 19 to 26 of June. The Kyiv Regional Military Administration asks the public to follow its requirements and safety rules.

25,000 facilities were damaged in Kyiv oblast. The damage is recorded by local commissions and experts from relevant institutions. The Kyiv Regional Military Administration informs that the completed inspection reports and cost estimates are sent to the Department of Regional Development of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration for further processing.

Demining of Kyiv oblast continues. As of June 17, inspection and clearance of UXOs were carried out in Bucha, Brovary, and Vyshhorod regions. In total, 43,315 UXOs have been identified and disposed of since the beginning of the demining works.

Law enforcers in Kyiv exposed five people who were illegally storing weapons and ammunition. As a result of searches, the following items were found and confiscated: a grenade launcher, 2 machine guns, 29 Kalashnikovs, TNT checkers, pistols, 5 grenades, and ammunition. The National Police informs that pre-trial investigation continues.

A peace and quiet order will be maintained in public places in Kyiv. This includes a ban on fireworks, playing music using audio equipment, use of loudspeakers, and singing out loud. Such measures are taken to preserve tranquility of the city’s residents in the face of war and russian aggression. The respective order was signed by Mykola Zhyrnov, the head of the city military administration.

Kyiv has received the following help from partners and benefactors: 17 ambulances (10 from Munich city hall and 7 from Ukrainian benefactors), 2 modern CT scanners, and special equipment. The tomographs will be transferred to Kyiv City Children’s Hospital #1 and Kyiv City Hospital No 17, said the city mayor Vitali Klytschko.

The first 5 houses are being built in Dmytrivka village as part of a pilot project on restoration of Kyiv oblast. According to the plan, they will be located almost at the same spot where destroyed houses once stood. One of these houses is being built for a wife and two sons of a fallen war hero.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to the Zhytomyr Regional Employment Center, due to the full-scale military invasion of Ukraine by russia, employers’ demand for workers has decreased by half compared to the previous year.

Within five and a half months of the year 2022, about 28 200 people used employment services in Zhytomyr oblast, with more than 11 600 of them applying for a job during martial law. 5 615 clients have been employed since the beginning of the year. Most of them found jobs in the processing industry, agriculture, and retail establishments.

Sumy oblast

Based on the information provided by the head of Sumy Regional military administration (RMA) Dmitry Zhyvytsky, the civilian infrastructure and outbuildings were damaged due the yesterday’s shelling of the Krasnopil community. The mortar shelling began, after which the community territory was fired by the Grad MLRS. More than 100 explosions were recorded.

Two enemy drones flew into the community territory. One of them dropped the explosive device, the other was destroyed.

Mortar and artillery shelling took place in Miropil community. 40 explosions were recorded. There were no casualties.

In Sumy oblast, the curfew will last from 23:00 to 4:00 am since June 20. Sumy RMA requests citizens to follow established rules.

250 million have been allocated by the government for restoration of critical infrastructure, education, medicine, and housing stock of Sumy oblast. This list includes 266 objects located in the communities that were most affected by hostilities. According to the head of the Sumy military Dmitry Zhyvytsky, 154 damaged objects have been surveyed to date.

Chernihiv oblast

Chernihiv oblast is one of the most contaminated with explosive objects. The demining situation in the region and the algorithm for determining potentially dangerous areas in the region were analyzed in the Chernihiv RMA with the participation of SES specialists and community heads.

To date, pyrotechnic teams have already made more than 2 thousand trips and disposed of more than 28 thousand explosive objects. It may take years to complete the demining process.

In communities, work is underway on non-technical examination of territories, dangerous areas marking, mapping and schemes drafting, informing about identified explosive objects and rules of conduct with it. This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv RMA Vyacheslav Chaus.

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

At night, russian troops again shelled with artillery the village Velyka Kostromka, Kryvyi Rih region. Fortunately, there are no victims.The head of the Zelenodolsk community Dmytro Neveselyi published photos of destruction after shelling.

Russian military launched a missile strike on Ingulets district of Kryvyi Rih city and hit the social infrastructure. It was announced in a briefing by representative of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Darina Tsurkan. A large-scale fire broke out there. Two residential buildings and a garage were destroyed. Two civilians were injured.-

Russian troops launched several missile strikes on Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk oblast. Three missiles destroyed an oil depot in Novomoskovsk, – said the head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Valentin Reznichenko.

In Dnipro metro, a charity show ´Tsyrkova Impreza’ was held for children. Artists from the local circus performed theatrical performances and a circus show. They raised funds for animals.

Kirovohrad oblast

The director of the Osmerkin Museum Vita Chernova informed that artists make portraits of soldiers, doctors, volunteers, journalists and internally displaced people as part of the art project “Portrety suchasnykiv na tli viyny” in Kropyvnytskyi.

Poltava oblast

At night, russian troops fired on Kremenchuk in Poltava region: 6 Russian missiles hit the Kremenchug refinery and 2 missiles hit a thermal power plant. Fortunately, no one was injured. According to the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration Dmytro Lunin, this is not the first time the enemy attacked these facilities: refineries and CHPs have suffered the greatest attacks and destruction among the entire infrastructure of Poltava region during the war. He also reported that the Kremenchug refinery will not operate until the end of the year. They will try to restore the damaged CHP by autumn. While the refinery will not be operating until the end of the year, CHPs must be rebuilt before the start of the heating season. Though there are alternatives to supplying heat to local buildings.

National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine will check the involvement of Poltava Mayor Oleksandr Mamai to a corruption crime. Under the procedural guidance of the Poltava District Prosecutor’s Office, the pre-trial investigation was completed and an indictment was filed against the deputy and head of the Poltava City Council Department. They will be responsible for extorting and obtaining illegal benefits and entering knowingly false information into an official document.

Poltava Academic Regional Puppet Theater holds free weekly performances for displaced children and residents of the city. Poltava Academic Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after Mykola Hohol conducts offsite performances for children as well.

Vinnytsia oblast

Based on the information provided by the Vinnytsia Regional Council, a moratorium on the use of music, books, movies and other content in russian language is to be considered at the session of the regional council. If this proposal gets support, it will function until the end of the war.

The Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Vinnytsia Oblast reported that Vinnytsia rescuers received assistance of almost one million hryvnias. It was officially handed over to the emergency services of the regional center in the state fire and rescue unit #4.

A volunteer from Vinnytsia creates stickers based on children’s drawings, the proceeds of which are donated to purchase a cardio sensor for patients of the Mother and Child Center. According to Iryna Ivanko, an ultrasound doctor, the number of children born with congenital heart defects is increasing, which makes the device extremely relevant.

Yulia Basaraba makes blue and yellow soy wax candles. The raised funds are donated to the Armed Forces.

Vinnytsia City Council reported receiving the humanitarian aid from the Polish city of Radom. It is not the first cargo Vinnytsia received from Radom community. In total, Radom residents have sent tons of aid since the beginning of the war. These are medicines, shoes, hygiene products, required things for mothers and babies, food. Vinnytsia also received a special vehicle with medical equipment from the Radom ambulance station.

Vinnytsia billiards players supported the Armed Forces at a charity tournament held in Vinnytsia at the Elite Profi BC club. According to the billiards club’s Facebook page, the funds raised will be spent on the delivery and maintenance of vehicles in the combat zone.

Southern regions

Kherson Oblast

Due to active fighting in Kherson oblast, there is no water, electricity, gas or medicine in all settlements of Novovorontsovska, Velykooleksandrivska, and Vysokopilska communities. Many civilians were injured, private and infrastructural facilities were destroyed. This was reported by ‘South’ the operational command.

During the night, Ukrainian missile and artillery units eliminated 9 personnel, 3 Msta-B howitzers and 3 units of motor vehicles.

The SSU exposed a local businessman who organized seizure of the Nova Kakhovka unit of Khersongaz in the temporarily occupied territory of the region. This was reported at the press center of the SSU. According to the investigation, the traitor voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the aggressors and offered help to block the energy infrastructure in southern Ukraine. The man has now been reported suspicion of treason.

More than UAH 130 million has been funded for the needs of regional institutions of Kherson oblast, in particular, for the payment of salaries to employees of boarding schools, educational institutions, health care, social protection, etc. According to Kherson RMA, salaries will be paid starting from June 21.

A veteran of the US Marines, Gredi Kurpasi, went missing in Kherson oblast. This was reported by the Washington Post. One of the volunteers told the Post that Grady Kurpasi had lost contact during one of the missions, during which another American Marine was killed.

There was an explosion in Kherson, correspondents of Suspilne Media report. The explosive device detonated on a car driven by the head of the colony #90. The driver, who is collaborating with the occupation authorities, survived. The russian military announced that it was a terrorist attack by Ukrainian guerrillas.

The occupying authorities introduced the “new rector” of the Kherson State Maritime Academy. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Kherson State Maritime Academ. The academy stressed that all cadets, students, pupils, employees of the academy and its structural units continue to study, work in a Ukrainian state institution and receive all social guarantees. Employees who wish to work under the occupation authorities will be fired.

Mykolaiv oblast

In Mykolaiv oblast, the enemy continues to attack Berezneguvatskyi, Shyrokivskyi communities. There are destroyed farmers’ warehouses and houses of peasants. In Mykolaiv region more than 12 blows of enemy cluster shells are recorded.

The police recorded 65 damaged facilities for the past day, reported in the Mykolaiv RMA. As a result of the enemy attack, 33 apartment buildings and 13 private houses were damaged. Damage was also caused to educational institutions, private enterprises, government offices, shops, pharmacies, sports clubs and administrative buildings. There are dead and injured, including children.

Yesterday pyrotechnics demined six locations and withdrew eight ammunition, Mykolaiv RMA reports.

The President of Ukraine arrived in Mykolaiv oblast with a working visit. He held a meeting on the current situation in the region. In particular, economic issues and the military situation in the region were discussed. The President also presented state awards and visited the leading positions of Ukrainian troops in the Mykolaiv oblast.

Odesa oblast

Missile strikes continue to be launched in Odesa Oblast. This night, 2 Onyx cruise missiles were fired from a coastal missile complex in the temporarily occupied Crimea. The missiles were destroyed by Ukrainian air defenses in the air.

The naval group of the russian fleet has not changed overnight. It continues to keep a safe distance from the shore, so as not to face another defeat.

20 Caliber cruise missiles are ready for launch on the territory of Ukraine. Along the coast it is possible to find sea mines destroyed by a storm and drifting to shore.

The President of Ukraine paid a working visit to Odesa oblast. During the working trip, Volodymyr Zelenskyy inspected the base, samples of weapons and the shooting range of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Since the beginning of the large-scale russian invasion, Odesa soldiers have identified more than 45K russian air targets and destroyed about 70. This was reported in ‘South’ operational command.

In Odesa Oblast, SSU counterintelligence officers detained a russian agent who was correcting missile strikes on the bridge across the Dnister estuary, the SSU press center reports.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

The operational situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction has not changed significantly. The enemy did not conduct active hostilities.

Along the entire line of contact, the enemy is firing on our defenders and civilian infrastructure, using aircraft, artillery and MLRS.

Russian forces are constantly striking at civilian infrastructure and peaceful households. In the Zaporizhzhia region, the following regions were under fire: the outskirts of Huliaipole and Orikhiv, Polohy district, Zalizhychne village.

26 shellings of positions of our troops along the contact line from the entire range of weapons in the area of the following settlements were recorded during the day. The enemy fired at the settlements of Huliaipilske, Kamianske, Novodanylivka and Temerivka with BM-21 Grad MLRS. The settlement of Zaliznychne was attacked with B-27 “Uragan” MLRS twice during 24 hrs. The settlements of Huliaipilske, Novopil were tank fired. In addition, the enemy carried out remote mining with POM-2 cluster mines in Novopil.

The number of enemy forces has increased in Polohy district. So the offensive is likely to be launched towards Huliaipole.

Ukrainian intelligence reported a case of desertion of 60 enemy servicemen in the village of Mykhailivka (Vasylivka district) from the dormitory, where the residence of russians was previously recorded.

In the area of the settlement of Kinski Rozdory (Polohy district) new fortifications of the enemy, about 34 units of equipment and places of deployment of personnel were detected.

From the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the movement of a train in the direction of Melitopol was recorded consisting of 9 covered gondola cars and 12 tanks (fuel and lubricants and ammunition).

In addition, the number of convoys of enemy equipment has increased: Route E-105, Melitopol – Vasylivka and in the opposite direction during the day the systematic movement of a significant number of trucks “KamAZ” (10-20 units per hour); Andriyivka – Kinsky Rozdory (Polohy district) a large number of heavy machinery, several columns of trucks, fuel trucks and military equipment from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in the direction of Melitopol during the day.

Soldiers of the Defense Forces in the Zaporizhzhia direction eliminated 16 soldiers and wounded 18; destroyed 1 tank, 1 IFV, APC – 1 unit, 1 BM-21 Grad MLRS – 1 unit; 1 car “Ural” – 1 unit, 2 M120 mortars, 1 MT-12 “Rapira” and 1 enemy observation post.

Yesterday, new power lines were damaged by heavy fighting. There was the power outage in over 2K families in Polohy and 113 homes in the Orikhiv district due to enemy shelling.

Western regions

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the situation in the Volyn and Polissis directions has not changed significantly. The border with belarus has been guarded. In case of provocations of the Armed Forces, the Territorial Defense and volunteer units are ready for decisive action.

Volyn oblast

Police detained two men who, under the guise of volunteer Territorial Defense, demanded that a Volyn resident repay a non-existent debt. They confiscated UAH 25K, 5K dollars and military ammunition from the man and tried to take him to Kyiv by force. They were detained by police at one of the checkpoints. The perpetrators face up to 12 years in prison.

The Western Regional Department of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Western Border reported that over the past 24 hours nine Ukrainians have tried to cross the border with forged documents. In the actions of offenders, in addition to administrative liability for attempting to cross the state border illegally, they see the signs of a criminal offense for evading the mobilization call.

Four pensioners in the village of Vesnyanka, Kivertsiv region, created a volunteer battalion “Nut”. The women gather daily in the house where they pack energy kits for the military at their own expense, adding patriotic drawings and letters of support from local school students.

Zakarpattia oblast

The director of the school Iveta Tseholnyai said that graduates of school # 5 in the city of Uzhhorod decided to donate the money raised for graduation celebration to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

On June 17, the President of Ukraine awarded honorary titles to three physicians of Ivano-Frankivsk oblast for diligent performance of professional duty under martial law. The title of “Honored Doctor of Ukraine” was awarded to the head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Central City Clinical Hospital Zinovia Zozulyak and the head of the Center for Nephrology and Dialysis of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Clinical Hospital of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council Oleh Lehun. Andriy Maslov received the honorary title of “Honored Donor of Ukraine”.

Lviv oblast

880 people left Lviv to Przemysl by four trains, while 322 people arrived in Lviv oblast by two evacuation trains.

19 644 people crossed the border at all crossings in Lviv oblast.

On June 17, the Lviv National Philharmonic hosted a charity concert by Georgian jazz singer Nino Katamadze, accompanied by the INSO-Lviv Orchestra. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In different parts of Khmelnytskyi oblast five concert programs were held with famous show business stars in support of the Armed Forces and the Territorial Defense, stationed in the oblast.

International support

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Johnson proposed to launch a large training program for the Ukrainian military involving 10K soldiers every 120 days in British territory.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reported that Ukraine and the United Kingdom, together with representatives of British business, signed a Memorandum on Infrastructure Reconstruction of Ukraine.

The German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that German weapons, which Berlin has pledged to supply to Ukraine to counteract russian troops, will arrive timely.

The Minister of Defense of Slovenia Marjan Sarec reported that Slovenia shipped ammunition, Kalashnikov rifles and 35 infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine. In addition, it is planned to train Ukrainian soldiers in Slovenian territory. Slovenia will also assist Ukraine in demining the territory.

The White House said that the US blocked transfer to Ukraine of four MQ-1C Gray Eagle drones because its sophisticated surveillance equipment could fall into the enemy’s hands.

During the meeting between the Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko and the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Bridget Brink, parties discussed strengthening Ukraine’s cooperation with the American company Westinghouse.
