Operational information on Ukrainian regions from the Ukrainian Women’s Guard as of June 13, 2022

It has been the 110th day of Ukraine’s resisting the russian military aggression.

Ukraine briefly:

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm, the operational situation is as follows:

Towards Siversk, the enemy used mortars and grenade launchers at the areas of Zapsillia, Sumy oblast, Hirske and Hremiach, Chernihiv oblast.

The aggressor units continue strengthening their defensive positions in border areas in the specified direction.

In Slobozhansky direction, the enemy systematically shells the positions of the DFU units, improves engineering equipment of its own defensive structures and conducts aerial reconnaissance.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy’s main efforts are focused on disrupting logistics routes of our troops in Sloviansk direction.

In Donetsk oblast, the invaders are regrouping and strengthening their units, trying to surround our troops near Lysychansk, Pryvillia, Severodonetsk, Borivske.

Towards Lyman, the enemy did not conduct any active operations.

Towards Severodonetsk, the enemy tried  to establish full control over the city by storming, attacking the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of Metiolkine, but was not successful.

Towards Bakhmut, the russian troops continued shelling the AFU positions with barrel artillery and MLRS. There was fighting in proximity of Toshkivka – Ustynivka, Orikhove – Zolote, Komyshuvakha – Vrubivka, Vasylivka – Belohorivka, Nyrkove – Mykolaivka, Dolomitne – Novoluhanske, but the enemy failed in the mentioned directions.

Towards Avdiivka, Kurakhiv, Novopavlovske and Zaporizhzhia, the aggressor did not take active actions. However, the russians tried to prevent the transfer of our troops to other directions, shelling with mortars, barrel and rocket artillery.

In the South Bug direction, the russian army continues to conduct defensive operations. The main efforts focus on intelligence, counter-battery combat, increasing the combat potential of reserve groups and air defense systems.

The enemy continues to strengthen its grouping towards Kryvyi Rih.

In the Bessarabian direction, the situation has not undergone significant changes.

In Volyn and Polissia areas, the situation is also stable.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that the enemy has significant issues with recruiting its units to carry out assault actions in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

The Defense Ministry says that there are currently six russian ships in the Black Sea with about 36 missiles. The aggressor’s fleet in the Black and Azov Seas continues to conduct reconnaissance and block civilian navigation in the north-western part of the Black Sea.

The International Defense Legion of Ukraine currently involves representatives of 55 countries. The largest number of fighters comes from the United States and Great Britain, followed by citizens of Poland and Canada, representatives of the Baltic states and northern countries, including Finland. The International Legion is also a part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, therefore it is financed by the Ukrainian army.

At the American Jewish Committee Global Forum, President Zelenskyy  called for providing assistance to Ukraine with offensive weapons and sanctions against russia. The President made it clear that the driver of russia’s war against Ukraine was hatred and noted that on June 12, the number of children killed during the war increased by 24, reaching 287.

Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian invaders continue shelling the Defence Forces of Ukraine and trying to disrupt the logistics supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkiv oblast operating toward Sloviansk.

The russian troops managed to fortify themselves on the northern outskirts of Izbutske village, Kharkiv oblast. In the north of the region, they are mining routes and conducting aerial reconnaissance.

Russian invaders shelled 3 villages of Zolochiv community: damaged and destroyed houses with no casualties.

The Ukrainian troops destroyed russian invaders’ armoured vehicles and ammunition in northern Kharkiv oblast. The headquarters of the russians were detected by the National Guard using a drone. The coordinates were sent to the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s artillerymen.

According to volunteers involved in evacuation, despite the danger of shelling and information about possible provocations, over 1 700 people managed to leave the temporarily occupied territories of Kharkiv oblast on 13 June.

Donetsk oblast

There is good news that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated 3 villages in Donetsk oblast and moved a part of the front by 15 km in one of the directions. According to the United Group of Forces, the settlements are currently a “grey zone” but are in fact controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is not specified what villages were liberated. There are practically no civilians in the settlements where the Ukrainian troops entered, only elderly people remained. Fighting toward Donetsk’s front continues.

During the night, russian occupation troops shelled Bakhmut. Houses and infrastructure were damaged. According to preliminary information by Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk Regional Civil Military Administration, 3 people were injured.

The russian invaders in the destroyed Mariupol are trying to restore the railway at an accelerated pace. This will make it easier and faster for the invaders to deliver military equipment and take out loot from the city. People in the city continue to bury the dead in their yards. In general, the causes of death are not yet known, but they are not brutal. 

The mayor of Sviatohirsk, Volodymyr Bandura, suspected of treason, met with the head of the russian occupation administration, Pushylin. During this meeting, Pushylin appointed Bandura as “the head of the Sviatohirsk administration”. Criminal proceedings against the mayor of Sviatohirsk were still ongoing before 24 February. Now the charges of high treason will be added to the criminal case. All officials collaborating with the occupant in Donetsk oblast are in one way or another connected with the banned Opposition Platform – Za Zhyttia (For Life) party. The head of Donetsk Regional Civil Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, mentioned this on air of the FreeDom project.

According to the report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), russian troops are likely to continue trying to advance towards Sloviansk from the northwest.

Luhansk oblast

According to the General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine in a morning report on June 13, a group of occupant troops is advancing to encircle Ukrainian troops in the areas of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk. The rashists are bringing in more equipment and assassins to encircle the cities, as well as to “cut” the Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway. In Severodonetsk, russian troops partially pushed back Ukrainian units from the city centre. Fighting is still going on. 

The enemy moved over 80 units of weapons and military equipment, including heavily armoured vehicles and artillery systems, from Kreminna and Starobilsk. According to Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, the Ukrainian army’s commander-in-chief, the enemy moved 7 battalion-tactical groups into the regional centre. Assaults in Vrubivka and Komyshuvakha were repelled. The enemy resumed its offensive on Zolote.

According to the head of the Luhansk Regional Civil Military Administration, Serhiy Hayday, in Luhansk oblast, as a result of targeted artillery shelling, the russian troops destroyed all t bridges connecting Severodonetsk with the region’s controlled territory. However, the Ukrainian troops are holding the city defense. Severodonetsk residents are in extremely difficult conditions. It is impossible to evacuate civilians and deliver humanitarian aid. But the city is not captured, parts of it are under Ukrainian control.

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to restore communications in the city before winter.

Lysychansk is being heavily shelled by russians. However, evacuation and humanitarian aid are being delivered. Moreover, law enforcement officers exposed 50 people who were providing the information to russian telegram channels using Starlink in Lysychansk which is under constant heavy shelling. 

Azot is being indiscriminately and continuously bombarded by russians. The city purification systems have been struck. The residential sector is badly damaged. Three people were killed in Lysychansk, notably two adults and a 6-year-old boy. One person was wounded. 

The shopping mall, mine premises and four apartment buildings burned down to the ground as a result of shelling. Vrubivka sustained most damages – 11 families lost their houses. Four houses are damaged in Zolote, 2 houses and a kindergarten – in Hirske. 

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

Ukrainian police are investigating criminal proceedings regarding the deaths of more than 12K Ukrainians. Ihor Klymenko, head of the National Police of Ukraine said 1 200 bodies, including those found in mass graves, have not yet been identified. He noted that over 1.5K civilians were killed in Kyiv oblast alone.

According to the chief of the National Police, about 75% of the victims were men, about 2% were children, and the rest were women. “These were civilians, people who had nothing to do with the military or law enforcement structures,” Klymenko pointed out.

Another mass grave of civilians was found in Kyiv oblast near the village of Myrotske, Bucha region. The chief of Kyiv oblast police reported that 7 more civilians had been tortured and shot by russian occupants.

In Kyiv oblast, about 4.5K business entities stopped operating due to destruction and other reasons. About 90% of the enterprises have already resumed their work, but not to their full capacity.

Oleksiy Kuleba, Head of Regional Military Administration says that as part of the business relocation program, Kyiv oblast hosted 10 companies from the territories where combat operations are taking place. This is a significant advantage because the launch of new facilities creates new jobs.

As of today, 86 full-time preschool institutions are working in Kyiv oblast, with more than 3275 children enrolled. According to Kyiv Regional Military Administration, only kindergartens that have access to a proper shelter have started working.

257 preschool educational institutions in the oblast continue to work remotely, with more than 13K enrolled children, including internally displaced people.

In Irpin, Ukrainian Railway built a town of railroad cars for residents who lost their homes during the occupation by russian troops. The iron town can accommodate 100 people (25 families). The residents will receive brand new compartments with air conditioning and private showers, as well as free meals. The guarded territory has a gazebo with barbecues, a children’s playground, a cinema, etc.

Zhytomyr oblast

In Zhytomyr oblast, the Security Service of Ukraine continues to systematically identify collaborators and supporters of the armed aggression by the russian federation. More propagandists who publicly supported the so-called “special operation” were exposed in Zhytomyr, Novograd-Volynsky, and Berdychiv. One of the “admirers of the russian world” turned out to be a Ukrainian language teacher from a secondary school in Zhytomyr, who tried to convince her colleagues that she was right. The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the National Police officers.

According to the Healthcare Department of Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration.Since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, Zhytomyr oblast has received around 300 tons of medical humanitarian aid.

A summer camp will be working in Zhytomyr for children from internally displaced families. The camp is organized by the charity foundation. Professional psychologists will be working with children. Many sessions with fun games and outdoor activities are planned.

Chernihiv oblast

The enemy shelled Pryluky in Chernihiv oblast. Three explosions were recorded. Information on the damage sustained is being clarified. Residents of nearby villages will be evacuated due to the threat of fire spreading after missile strikes. 

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports that demining of Chernihiv oblast continues. Over the weekend, EOD and sapper diver teams were involved in UXO disposal 9 times and found and recovered 158 such items.

High-priority work to restore the damaged infrastructure continues.

The government has allocated 400 million hryvnias from the reserve fund to rebuild Chernihiv oblast. The work has already started on some sites. The head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, believes that the priority task should be restoration of electricity and water supply, hospitals, and kindergartens in the territories liberated from the enemy. And private housing should be next on the list.

Around 200 educational institutions were damaged and destroyed as a result of combat operations in Chernihiv oblast. The recorded losses also include 1 700 laptops destroyed or stolen by russians.

Charity aid from UNICEF was delivered in Chernihiv oblast today including 583 state-of-the-art laptops together with case bags. Soon this equipment will be distributed to educational institutions in the communities most affected by the russian invasion, said Viacheslav Chaus, the head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration.

Sumy oblast

In the morning, the enemy fired heavy caliber weapons at Sumy oblast from russian territory. Border guards recorded 30 explosions on the outskirts of a village in Shostka region.

According to the website of the Ukrainian Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, another community in Sumy oblast, Vorozhba, has been added to the list of areas with ongoing hostilities. In total, this list includes 14 communities in Sumy oblast.

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Valentyn ReznichenkThe night was not quiet in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. The enemy shelled Zelenodolsk community from the Uragan MRL system. One person was killed and five injured. Residential buildings are damaged and destroyed. The shelling areas are littered with cluster munitions.

The State Service ofUkraine for Emergencies reported that on June 12, as a result of shelling Kryvyi Rih and Synelnykiv districts, Dnipropetrovsk oblast, two people were killed. 

The buses will evacuate residents of Zelenodolsk, Kostromka and Maryansk to Kryvyi Rih.

1 906 internally displaced persons were evacuated to Pereschepyn community, Dnipropetrovsk oblast. 1673 of them already got certificates of resettlement to receive financial allowance from the state. In addition, the community welcomed 537 intentionally displaced children. Leisure is organized for them. Psychologists and children services are involved.

Kryvyi Rih volunteers held training and entertainment events for intentionally displaced people. In the dormitory of one of the colleges, a master class on Petrykivka painting and a lesson for studying insects were hosted for children.

Poltava oblast

As part of Western aid, 163 Belgian tents were delivered to Poltava oblast. Tents of different sizes, from 16 to 72 square meters, are comfortable and reliable. They will come in handy in the field conditions to our defenders. Military units already submit requests to receive them. 

School and college graduates gather near one of Poltava universities. All of them are camp participants. The camp will operate this summer on the basis of Poltava University of Economics and Trade. Children will be taught English, physical education and proper nutrition.

Vinnytsia oblast

Project work, frozen due to the invasion of Ukraine by russian troops, is resuming. Vinnytsia Mayor Serhiy Morgunov reported that reconstruction of the old city will continue. He stressed the importance of developing the country and preserving achievement in infrastructure development. 

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine ArmiyaInform news agency reported that two paintings of the military Natalia Zhyzhko, serving in one part of the Vinnytsia units, were displayed at a London exhibition.

Four vehicles, loaded with food, military ammunition, equipment, camouflage nets, first aid kits, hygiene products, were delivered to the front by volunteers of the Molfar Civic Organization. They go to the front four times a week. Cars used to send cargo are left for military use.

There are no major changes in other regions of Central Ukraine.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The operational situation in the south-eastern direction has not significantly changed. The enemy did not conduct active hostilities. The main forces and means of russian troops continue to build up in the area of ​​the settlements of Vasylivka, Orikhiv and Huliaipole.

Russian troops attacked the settlements of Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, Kamyanske, Stepnohirske and Huliaipole. About 16 houses (apartments) and infrastructure facilities were destroyed. Four injured people were reported in Huliaipole.

In addition, there were 27 shellings of Ukrainian troops along the contact line from the entire range of weapons in the area of ​​settlements: Kamyanske, Huliaipole, Vremivka, Zaliznychne, Orikhiv, Malynivka, Chervone, Novodanylivka, Novosilka, Novopil. The enemy fired at the settlements of Huliaipole, Vremivka and Novosilka with the Grad MLRS, and Zaliznychne with Hurricane MLRS.

During the past day, servicemen of the Defense Forces in the Zaporizhzhia direction eliminated 33 personnel, wounded 36; destroyed 3 combat armored vehicles, 2 mortars, 1 Grad MLRS, 1 UAV Orlan UAV and 66 units of vehicles. In addition, the enemy ammunition depot and the enemy’s platoon base were destroyed.

As of today, June 13, due to damage to power lines, more than 30K consumers do not have power supply in 110 settlements of Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Over the past day, PJSC “Zaporizhzhyaoblenergo” has restored energy supply to more than 21 thousand consumers in Orikhiv district, Polohy, Zaporizhzhia and occupied Berdyansk. In Berdyansk, about 6K consumers are still left without electricity after yesterday’s explosion.

An explosion took place in the temporarily occupied Melitopol last night. According to preliminary information, there are injured civilians.

Yesterday in Energodar, the occupation authorities held a holiday dedicated to the day of russia, but the locals massively ignored the event. Only about 30 locals came to the event.

Russian troops are looting in the occupied territories. In the village of Mala Bilozirka, Vasylivskyi district, the russians stole 54 freight cars with algomeration ore, weighted a total of 3 240 tons, and a Kamaz truck from the territory of the iron ore plant. In Polohy, a local resident was robbed of his Opel Combo. In Mykhailivka, the occupiers illegally seized a Lexus LX 450D belonging to one of the agricultural companies.

Mykolaiv oblast

The situation on the contact line is dynamic and tense. Russian troops lose positions, but continue to fire at Mykolaiv oblast. As a result of strikes on the suburbs of Bashtanka and Mykolaiv, buildings were destroyed, infrastructure and agricultural areas were damaged. There were no casualties. The shelling of Bereznehuvatsky community is also ongoing.

The “South” Operational Command  reported that Ukrainian air defences brought down the russian Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle over Nikolaevshchina.

In Mykolaiv, beaches and reservoirs are being checked for the presence of explosive objects. The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that the works have started on the city beach “Arrow”. Divers have already identified and removed four cassette elements from multiple rocket launchers.

Odesa oblast

A group of enemy ships in the Black Sea currently consists of five cruise missile carriers – four ships and one submarine – as well as four VDK. Therefore, the threat of missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine remains high.

In Odesa oblast, as a result of subversive work, a man was sentenced to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property. The investigation established that the man provided representatives of the so-called LPR with information on the number, location and movement of military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, territorial defense checkpoints, border detachments, and the number of personnel.

According to UN documents, a scheme of illegal border crossing was exposed in Odesa oblast. The organizers of the scheme, Moldovan citizens, promised the state border crossing in exchange for financial reward in a car with diplomatic license plates.

Kherson oblast

In Kherson oblast, almost the entire Beryslav district is under fire. The “South” Operational Command reported when retreating, the occupiers resorted to looting and bullying of local residents.

The russian occupiers are spreading fakes about an abandoned anthrax burial found in Skadovsk, Kherson oblast, to intimidate the population and turn them against the Ukrainian authorities.

Suspilne correspondents stated that in the premises previously housing Ukrainian supermarkets and pharmacies, the occupation authorities of Kherson oblast are opening russian ones. Price tags on goods are indicated in hryvnias and rubles, but checks at the box office are issued only in rubles.

The Chief Intelligence Directorate reported that near Nova Kakhovka and Beryslav, Kherson oblast, the enemy is forcing the population to hand over 70% of the harvest to Crimean buyers. Purchase prices are sometimes only 10% of the retail price. At the same time, there is a ban on exporting crops to the territories controlled by Ukraine. 

Western regions

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, there are no significant changes in Volyn and Polissia directions.

Volyn

According to the head of the Volyn Regional Military Administration Yuriy Pohulyayk, the border with belarus within Volyn (which is more than 200 km) is controlled 24/7 by the Ukrainian military. Border guards are fortifying potentially dangerous areas. The Armed Forces of Ukraine is conducting tactical training.

On June 13, road lighting was restored in Volyn. In coordination with the military and the National Police, for the sake of road users’ safety, traffic lights will be switched on in the oblast every evening from 10 pm to midnight.

In the club-museum of Volyn beekeeping and history of Baiv village of Boratyn community, local school student Oleksandra Kasyan decided to hold an exhibition and sale of paintings from puzzles collected by herself to raise funds to support the Armed Forces.

Zakarpattia oblast

The head of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, Viktor Mykita, handed over 450 bulletproof vests to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The regional organization of the Red Cross Society in cooperation with the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Regional State Administration transferred 8K mattresses and 2K blankets to the temporary accommodation of IDPs in Zakarpattia.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Two guardsmen from Kolomyia region, soldier Volodymyr Voloshchuk and sergeant Roman Reus, were posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the 3rd degree. Thanks to their actions in a difficult situation, many lives of their brothers were saved.

Lviv oblast

On June 13, 255 people arrived in Lviv by two evacuation trains.

According to border guards, 16181 people went abroad through checkpoints in Lviv oblast.

According to the “Chesno” Movement, on June 13 in Lviv, the Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal banned the socialist political party in Ukraine.

The staff of the Lviv Philharmonic and the Philharmonic Orchestra INSO-Lviv hosted a charity fair, which managed to raise almost UAH 150K for Ukrainian defenders.

The sports project “Let’s play” has started in Brody, Zolochiv district. It aims to provide psychological support to children affected by russian aggression. A free children’s football section has already been hosted and more than 90 children aged 6-12 take football classes. A section for girls aged 5-8 will also be opened in the future. A coach from Popasna, Luhansk oblast  Alexey Maksimovsky conducts these classes for kids. 

Rivne oblast

The Regional Prosecutor’s Office of Rivne Oblast has given the suspicion to the russian commander of the 23rd Tallinn Fighter Regiment Alexander Lobintsev giving an order to launch rocket attacks on oil depots in Dubno and Klevan. It caused damages to the environment by more than UAH 11 million.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

According to Khmelnytskyi Deputy Mayor Mykhailo Kryvak, as of June 13, about 44K IDPs settled in Khmelnytskyi City Community. 2 336 adults applied for employment, and 87 children began attending local kindergartens. 184K stayed in Khmelnytskyi oblast for at least a day, receiving help and support, and continued their way west.

There were no significant changes in other regions.

International support

Adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Yuriy Sak announced that 150 155-millimeter caliber howitzers were handed over to Ukraine by NATO countries.

The First Deputy Chief of the Patrol Police Department of Ukraine Oleksiy Biloshitskyi said that in the near future, 10 TALON sapper robots from the British defense corporation QinetiQ will arrive in Ukraine. They have already been used in Ukraine. Before the war, Ukraine already had 12 robot prototypes. These robotic systems are widely used to reduce the threat of explosives and chemical weapons. The power plant is capable of developing speed up to 8.3 km/h and operates without recharging from 2.8 to 4.5 hours, and in standby mode – up to 7 days. The robot takes up to 45 kg and can pull loads up to 680 kg.

According to the Polish Border Guard Service, a 140-kilometer wall has been built on the Polish-belarusian border (a total of 398.6 km is planned to be built). The next stage will be to install electric fencing equipment.

Marcel Lucier, a Canadian pensioner and resident of Quebec, plans to donate part of the money he won in the lottery, breaking $ 70 million jackpot, to the recovery of Ukraine.

According to CNN, a Ukrainian ship with the first batch of Ukrainian corn arrived in the port of La Coruna in Spain. 18K tons of corn were delivered across the Baltic Sea to avoid Ukrainian ports blocked by the russian navy.
