Here is operational information from the General Staff  regarding the Russian invasion as of 6pm:

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there continues to be a restriction on civilians visiting forests in the borderline areas of the republic of belarus and Ukraine.

There is aerial reconnaissance with UAVs of the operational-tactical level in the border areas of Volyn oblast.

Towards Siversk, the enemy shelled civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of Khrinivka, Senkivka, Znob-Novhorodske and a number of others. There was aerial reconnaissance conducted near Znob-Novhorodske.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy fired from barreled and reactive artillery, in particular near Borshchova, Chuhuiv, Mospanove, Petrivka, Rubizhne, Slatyne, Sosnivka and  Svitlychne. There were  airstrikes launched at Mospanove, Zalyman and Yavirske.

Towards Sloviansk, the enemy fired from barreled, rocket artillery and tanks at the areas of Nortsivka, Dolyna, Hrushuvakha, Krasnopillia, Mazanivka and other settlements. There were attempts to advance towardsr Bohorodychne. The enemy had no success and withdrew.

Towards Kramatorsk, artillery shelling was recorded near Bilohorivka, Raihorodok, Pereizne, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, and Zakitne. The enemy launched an airstrike near Grigorivka. The enemy unsuccessfully tried to scout the positions of the Defense Forces near Verkhniokamianske.

Ukrainian soldiers successfully repulsed the invaders’ attempt to improve its tactical position in the area of Ivano-Dariivka, and forced the enemy to flee.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy shelled military and civilian infrastructure in the areas of Berestove, Dolyna, Kodema, Maiorsk, Pokrovske, Soledar, Toretsk,  and Vesela Vershyna. There were air strikes directly on the settlements of Novoluhanske and Pokrovske.

Enemy attempts of assaults in proximity of Berestove, Soledar and Semihiria were successfully repulsed by our defenders. Fighting continues with the hostile assault group near Pokrovske.

Towards Avdiivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporozhzhia, the enemy did not conduct active hostilities. There was systematic shelling of civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of  Krasnohorivka, Mali Shcherbaky,  Malynivka, Novopil, Novoselivka, Novoandriivka, Novomykhailivka, Pavlivka, Pisky, Shevchenko,  Velyka Novoselka, Vesele, and a number of others. There was an airstrike launched near Malynivka.

The occupiers conducted assault operations near the villages of Pavlivka and Blahodatne. They were rebuffed and withdrew with losses .

Towards the South Buh, the main efforts of the enemy continue to focus on maintaining their positions and preventing the advance of our units. The enemy is actively conducting aerial reconnaissance with UAVs and shelling along the contact line.


British Prime Minister Boris Johnson awarded President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the Sir Winston Churchill Award. The British Prime Minister tweeted that the Ukrainian president was rewarded for his leadership and incredible courage, disobedience and dignity in the face of Putin’s barbaric invasion. “The UK will always be with Ukraine,” said Johnson.

The Cabinet of Ministers appealed to the US government to provide Ukraine with “gas lendlease” in order to consistently conduct the heating season. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. According to the official, preparations for the most difficult winter in the history of the country continue and the authorities are looking for all possible tools to be prepared for any scenarios.


Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine report, the enemy shelled Kharkiv oblast with aviation, tanks and artillery. Air strikes were recorded near Mospanove, Chuhuiv district and Zalyman, Izium district. During the day, the invaders attempted to spy on Ukrainian troops’ defence in Kharkiv direction.

According to  the head of the Regional Police Department, Volodymyr Tyshko, Russia intensified missile and artillery use against civilians in Kharkiv and the region. During the day, there were 30 cases of damage to buildings as a result of shelling and fires.

In the region, overnight, the invaders struck Tsurkuny community, damaging a residential building. In Balakliia community, civilian infrastructure was damaged as a result of Russian shelling.

According to the head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, shelling in Kharkiv caused a fire on the roof of an auto show building in Sloboda district – the waterproofing material of the roof caught fire. Several other shells fell in the open area. There were no casualties.

According to the Regional Department of State Emergency Service, explosions were heard in Chuhuiv – a Russian munition damaged a gas pipe and formed a fire torch. Two houses were damaged as a result of the missile hit.

Donetsk oblast

The invaders shelled 10 settlements in Donetsk oblast overnight, hitting residential districts and civilian infrastructure. 3 people were killed and 8 others were injured.

According to the Office for Strategic Communications of Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian troops hit a tank farm in Budonivskyy district, Donetsk. Occupier-controlled media reported that tanks with fuel and lubricants were on fire. Fire from the fire can be seen in several districts of Donetsk from several dozens of metres away.

According to Mariupol City Council, the invaders want to rename Mariupol into Zhdanov. The occupation authorities plan to put the issue to a so-called referendum. The invaders in the city also started dismantling windows from houses installed under the Teplyy Dim (Warm House) program. Instead, they are installing the cheapest window units.

Luhansk oblast

According to the head of Lugansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Haday, the enemy is shelling settlements on the border of Luhansk oblast. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian troops repelled four attacks by the invaders.

Dozens of settlements were shelled with multiple rocket launchers and cannon artillery. The enemy used aviation in eight of these areas. To gain a foothold in Luhansk oblast, Russians are brutally burning settlements that do not obey.

Ukrainian troops struck at the barracks of the Russian invaders in temporarily occupied Lysychansk. The strike eliminated 12 invaders.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

On July 26 in Kyiv oblast, a teenager was killed as a result of an explosion. The 16-year-old resident of Korolivka village, Bucha district, attempted to disassemble an object that looked like a military weapon, which caused a detonation. 

The aftermath of the hostilities is being gradually eliminated in Kyiv oblast. As of today, reconstruction work has already been completed at 139 facilities. In particular, this includes an administrative building, 2 creativity centres for children and youth, 4 institutions of general secondary education, a kindergarten, 15 health care institutions, as well as 50 apartment buildings and 65 private houses.

A probable member of a russian sabotage and reconnaissance group has been detained by the National Guard in Kyiv. The man was taking pictures of strategically important objects and then tried to quickly leave the restricted area. It turned out that the suspect was a citizen of Ukraine but was born in Kamchatka oblast of the russian federation. The detained person will be further investigated by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to the Kyiv RMA, nearly 34,500 square kilometers of potholes have been patched on the most damaged sections of public roads of local importance in the oblast.

Numerous historical and cultural sites of Kyiv oblast were affected by russian aggression. One of them is the Weaving Museum in Obukhovychi. The invaders used valuable and unique pieces for blankets and stole some exhibits while retreating from Kyiv oblast.

Zhytomyr oblast

Vitalii Bunechko, the head of Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, held an online meeting with Wojciech Kałuża, Deputy Marshal of Silesian Voivodeship. They discussed the prospects for rebuilding schools, kindergartens, and social institutions in the oblast. The head of the RMA expressed his gratitude to the Polish people for helping Ukrainians and reminded that during 152 days of the war more than ten humanitarian shipments from Poland arrived in Zhytomyr oblast.

A Zhytomyr resident found a hand grenade on the bank of the Kamianka river. Patrol police and EOD experts from the National Police were called to the scene. State Emergency Service engineers also found 3 anti-tank mines and 1 artillery shell in the Ovruch community.

As part of the charity event, 203 books were donated to Berdychiv’s medical facilities for the wounded soldiers undergoing treatment and rehabilitation. According to the organizer Nadiia Nuzhda, some of these books have been signed by children sending wishes to our defenders. The doctors note that such books contribute to the process of recovery.

Sumy oblast

The Sumy RMA reported that the enemy shelled the communities of Esman, Khotyn, Bilopillia, Znob-Novhorod and Seredina-Buda. Shots were fired from barrel artillery and mortars – 32 explosions were recorded.

UAH 30 million will be allocated from the budget of the city’s territorial community for measures and works on territorial defense in Sumy. In general, since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the Sumy City Council has allocated UAH 122 million from the city budget to the defense of the community.

The head of Sumy MRA, Dmytro Zhivytskyi, said that restoration work is being carried out in the houses that suffered from the russian aggression in Okhtyrka. Technical reports have been drawn up, preparatory work has been carried out, windows and doors are being installed.

The Trostyanets City Council reported that restoration of the destroyed bridge between the villages of Bilka and Oleksyne in Sumy oblast began.

In the Znob-Novhorod community, the local authorities plan to rename 5 streets in connection with the military aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine. During selection of new names, the proposals of the residents of the community will be taken into account – historical names of localities, geographical features of the territories and the memory of famous personalities of the history of Ukraine.

Chernihiv oblast

The Chernihiv MRA reports that the enemy continues to shell the border areas of Chernihiv oblast. Mortars and barrel artillery struck the villages of Leonivka and Hirsk, 25 explosions were recorded.

The communities of Chernihiv oblast continue to receive building materials for priority works on objects damaged by hostilities. The state allocated almost UAH 136 million for these needs.

The Chernihiv MRA reports that representatives of the United Nations Children’s Fund – UNICEF visited the schools in Ivanivka and Kyinka, which were affected by shelling. The opportunity to participate in the repair of the premises and the arrangement of a safe environment is being considered. At present, workers are glazing windows, patching roofs and repairing shelters on their own with funds from the regional budget.

The Chernihiv Regional Centre of Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine received two new ambulances. They were delivered by the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine with funding from the Canadian government. These ambulances have the appropriate level of protection and special medical equipment that can help save lives in hard-to-reach areas.

The regional military administration reports that three more cars with food and tools were sent to the Chernihiv military. Defenders received a separate package of sweets from children who had been washing cars for a week to earn money for it.

Central regions

Vinnytsia oblast

Free creative activities and childhood development classes were organized for children in Vinnytsia as part of the Cooperation for the sake of children project.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Valentyn Reznichenko, the russian army fired at Kryvyi Rih and Nikopol districts. In Shyrokivska hromada, the enemy fired from barrel artillery at the village of Koshov. The power line was damaged. Nobody was injured. Chervonogrihorivska and Marganetska communities were also shelled. During the day, the enemy struck Kryvyi Rih  district several times. The “Hurricanes” hit Novosemenivka in the Apostolivo community. The power line was damaged, no casualties. The enemy shelled the territory of Velyka Kostromka from barrel artillery. The power line was damaged, there was a fire. The enemy also shelled the boundaries of the settlement of Koshov in the Shirokivska hromada. Nobody was injured.

The chairman of the Dnipro City Council, Mykola Lukashuk, reported that during the wheat harvest in the Zelenodolsk community, an enemy mine carried by Hurricanes, blew up an agriculturist. The combine harvester is alive and well, the combine is damaged.

Kirovohrad oblast

To uplift spirits of the defenders and citizens, gardeners of the Central Ukrainian National Technical University in Kropyvnytskyi created a state blue-yellow flag and a cross of the Armed Forces of Ukraine using flowers.

A defibrillator will appear at the railway station in Kropyvnytskyi, Ukrzaliznytsia reported.

Poltava oblast

Poltava oblast will spend UAH 50 million for construction of fortifications, the purchase of modular dugouts, special vehicles and demining equipment. Regional social payments have also been updated – up to UAH 20,000 for rehabilitation of the injured, concussed or maimed  soldiers, and 50,000 hryvnias of aid to the families of the casualties. Such assistance will be provided to the families of those killed and injured in the “Amstor” shopping center in Kremenchuk, the Poltava Regional State Administration reported.

Almost 1,200,000 hryvnias were allocated to preparation of shelters in schools and kindergartens for the academic year in the Pyryatyn community.

The team of the Hohol Regional Theater, in addition to conducting field performances, organizes acting, painting, choreography, vocal and hand-made master classes for the children of Poltava residents and IDPs.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The situation in Zaporizhzhia oblast has not changed significantly.  

The enemy shelled Ukrainian defenders’ positions 63 times using tank gunnery, artillery, and MLRS along the entire contact line.

The police received 10 reports of destruction of civilian infrastructure as a result of shelling by russian occupation forces in the areas of  Kamianske, Novokarlivka, Yulivka, Orikhiv and Yurkivka.

During the day 1,942 people, including 512 children, were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory.

Thousands of people are waiting for passage to Zaporizhzhia at the security checkpoint in Vasylivka. The rf military allows from 20 to 150 vehicles per day, which is much less than the number of people who want to leave. According to Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov, five people died in the queue.

About 10K employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP are currently located in the temporarily occupied Enerhodar. This was announced by the president of the state enterprise “Energoatom” Petro Kotin. Currently, about a thousand workers have left the city. He also noted that about a hundred employees of the station were abducted during the occupation.

“Energoatom” is ready to run all 15 power units of Ukrainian nuclear power plants, including the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which is currently operating at half capacity. Despite being captured by russian troops, the Enerhodar NPP operates within Ukraine’s energy system. Whether it will participate in the heating season depends on the military situation.

The Centre for Countering Disinformation informs that the occupiers have started issuing russian birth certificates in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

“Vohnyk Zaporizhzhia” public organization conducts basic fire training for civilians in Zaporizhzhia. 10 residents learned how to shoot a Kalashnikov assault rifle at the last training session. In addition to handling firearms, they teach first aid and tactical medicine, weapons and mine safety, as well as conduct psychological and survival training in extreme conditions.

Mykolaiv oblast

The enemy attacked the port infrastructure in Mykolaiv oblast.

The strike on Mykolaiv district was launched with the help of the S-300 missile system from the temporarily occupied Kherson oblast. The boiler house of the Mykolaivvoblteploenergo utility company, which provides heat to 60% of Mykolaiv consumers, suffered serious damage. The car market, some other open areas of the suburbs were hit.

The Olshanske community was also shelled. According to the preliminary information, the infrastructure facility was damaged. Police units record every fact of russian aggression.

During the day, the enemy launched two strikes on Mykolaiv oblast. 2 X-59 missiles were fired by the planes from the direction of the temporarily occupied territory. One cruise missile hit near Velyke Artakovo, the second hit the outskirts of Kaluha. A pair of Ka-52s hit Novohryhorivka.

Bashtanka, Pervomaiske, Mishkovo-Pohorilove, Maliivka were under enemy attacks. As a result of the shelling, 11 private residential buildings and 9 vehicles were damaged.

According to the head of the Mykolaiv RMA, law enforcement officers are currently working with three alleged correctors of russian artillery and missile strikes. The residents of Mykolaiv provided information about them.

Specialists of the Vitovka division of the JSC “Mykolaivgaz” resumed gas supply to one of the communities of the region. An enemy missile hit an underground gas pipeline and left one community in  Mykolaiv oblast without gas. Despite all the risks, the specialists were able to repair and replace the damaged part of the pipe.

Odesa oblast

The enemy launched a massive missile attack on southern Ukraine. From the waters of the Black Sea, the russians struck Odesa oblast using Su-30 and Su-35 aircraft with Kh-59 missiles, and later 10 long-range bombers struck another eight strikes with Kh-22 missiles. This was reported by the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

5 residential buildings were destroyed, over 15 recreation centres, 60 summer cottages and about 80 trade pavilions were damaged in a resort village in Bilhorod-Dnister district as a result of shelling.

A village in the Odesa district was also under enemy fire. The recreation centre on the Dnister River suffered significant destruction. Two casualties are reported.

42 rescuers extinguished the fire that started as a result of the missile strike. Ten units of fire-rescue equipment were also involved.

The Odesa Regional Prosecutor’s Office and the Bilhorod-Dnister District Prosecutor’s Office have initiated criminal proceedings for violations of the laws and customs of war.

The naval group of enemy forces in the Black Sea currently consists of 2 missile carriers and 1 naval cruiser, the rest of the ship-boat crew is hiding in missile-safe areas of the sea near the Crimean Peninsula.

Kherson oblast

According to the “South” Operational Command, the situation in the operational zone of the South Buh remains difficult, but controlled by the Defense Forces.

The enemy continues to conduct hostilities, holding on to the fortified lines of defense, and trying to carry up reserves of manpower and equipment from the Crimean direction

Enemy forces tried to carry out offensive actions from Ishchenka to Biloghirka. Having suffered losses, they retreated.

In the evening, a pair of attack aircraft and Ka-52 attack aircraft of the enemy attacked Andriivka. There are no losses.

Ukrainian aviation launched 7 strikes on the places of units deployment – 6 strongholds, a cluster of weapons and military equipment, and a command and observation post in Beryslav and Kherson districts of the region.

The total enemy losses include 48 occupiers, 4 T-72 tanks, a 152 mm howitzer gun, a self-propelled artillery, 3 units of armored vehicles and 3 vehicles. The command post of the 11th separate amphibious assault brigade and the ammunition depot in Piatikhatky were destroyed.

Police officers of Kherson oblast opened 11 criminal proceedings on the facts of crimes committed by the russian military against the civilian population and infrastructure. Among them are 2 facts of collaborative activity, abduction of people and vehicles, shelling from rocket launchers, as a result of which civilians were wounded and fires broke out in forests and fields.

The deputy chief doctor of the Kherson Regional Children’s Hospital Viktor Burdovitsyn is suspected of treason. The investigation established that he voluntarily handed over an archive with personal files and medical cards of employees of the Main Police Department in Kherson oblast to the russian military. The doctor also prohibited the evacuation of children with cancer to Lviv and to the “Okhmatdyt” hospital. Burdovitsyn refuses the supply of medicines offered by the Department of Health, and instead asks for help from the russian federation.

The “Yellow Ribbon” resistance movement encourages marking with the letter “Ї” all premises where the occupiers plan to hold a so-called referendum, and also buildings where russian soldiers and collaborators are placed.

Western regions

Volyn oblast

Volyn and the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate agreed on partnership. Among the priorities is creation of an information defense system and medical assistance to the Ukrainian military.

On July 25, as a result of the explosion of a russian drone in the village of Dubove, Kovel district, 5 people were injured, three of whom were children – a 16-year-old boy and 8- and 16-year-old girls.

CommonActionChildren spaces for internally displaced children will operate in Lutsk: one is stationary, the other is mobile. “Common Action for the sake of the children” is a safe space where a child will be provided with psycho-emotional support through creative activities.

The mayor of Kamin-Kashirskyi, Viktor Pas, and the mayor of the Canadian city of Langford, Stuart Young, signed a cooperation agreement. It involves provision of humanitarian aid to our community, building of long-term economic and cultural relations between the cities after the war.

From Novovolynsk, 21 sets of summer uniforms were sent to the fighters in Donetsk oblast.

At the “Run for Azovstal” marathon in Lutsk, almost UAH 25K was collected for the needs of the Armed Forces.

Zakarpattia oblast

Almost 16K forcibly displaced persons were assigned payments in Uzhhorod. According to the information of the Uzhhorod City Council, there are currently 24 950 forcibly displaced people in the regional centre of Zakarpattia.

Since the beginning of the war, over 50 Starlink terminals have been delivered to critical infrastructure facilities in the oblast, as well as to the Zakarpattia military.

An exhibition of children’s drawings “Silver Bell” was opened in Uzhhorod. The main theme is “5 Minutes to Victory”.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The delegation of the Plzen region of the Czech Republic, led by the hetman of the region, Rudolph Spotak, brought humanitarian aid, including generators, an ambulance, medicines, caremats, etc.

Lviv oblast

190 people have arrived in Lviv by two evacuation trains from the war zone. 830 people went to Przemysl from Lviv Oblast by four trains.

193 enterprises have moved to Lviv Oblast from the areas of ongoing hostilities. 115 of them have fully resumed work.

A meeting with the secretary of the National Investment Council under the President of Ukraine, Halyna Yanchenko, took place at the Lviv RMA. The meeting discussed the relocated business and its problems, attracting investments and solving the issue of housing for IDPs.

The second charity auction of battle trophies and art was held in the Lviv Municipal Art Centre, thanks to which it was possible to collect over UAH 180K. All funds will go to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Rivne oblast

A coordination council was held at the Regional State Administration, where issues related to comprehensive assistance to victims, compliance with the rights and interests of minors, and recording of crimes were considered.

Vitalii Koval, Head of the Rivne RMA, said that over 3K hemostatic drugs were sent for the military in Rivne oblast. The American-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation Ukrainian American House donated humanitarian aid amounting to over 92K dollars.

The RMA reported that a reliable bomb shelter was set up in the premises of the Dubensk RMA.

One of the largest bomb shelters was opened in Rivne on the territory of the former radio factory. People could not use it for several months.

12-year-old Yana Salo from the village of Dytynichi, in the Duben district, makes and sells bouquets of wild flowers. The girl collected over UAH 8K to help defenders of Ukraine.

7-year-old Irynka from Rivne makes and sells wreaths to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The girl has already collected money for purchasing two thermal imagers and two cars for the military. Now she is collecting money for the third one. Yet, she is dreaming of a Javelin.

Ternopil oblast

The dance group DANCE MAFIA FAMILY from Ternopil performed at the charity concert “Feel Ukraine” in the Polish city of Mrongovo. The purpose of the concert is to raise money to help orphans from Mykolaiv oblast and a fighter from Azov, who received severe injuries.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Families of employees of the Yarmolynetsk forestry farm collected over 70K for an all-terrain vehicle for the Armed Forces. Soon the vehicle will go to the front line.

On the initiative of the Office of the President of Ukraine, a survey on rights and needs of displaced persons is being conducted in Khmelnytskyi oblast. The survey is supported by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Khmelnytskyi RMA.

Chernivtsi oblast

11-year-old Maksym handed over 25 bulletproof vests, a thermal imager, a night vision device, sets of military clothing, etc. The boy gave UAH 50K for rehabilitation of a fighter who lost a leg in battle. He posted an ad offering his help – take out the trash, walk the pet, etc. and took on any job to raise funds.

The Chernivtsi City Council received funding for the purchase of housing for IDPs. The city received UAH 3 million and purchased 5 apartments. Warrants for apartments have already been handed over to 5 families of forcibly displaced Ukrainians of the first wave who moved from Donbas back in 2014-2015.

International support

The EU extended sanctions against russia due to the war in Ukraine for 6 months until January 31, 2023.

The European Investment Bank allocated almost 1.6 billion euros to Ukraine for restoration of the most important damaged infrastructure.

Head of the German Defense Ministry, Christina Lambrecht, announced that Germany delivered to Ukraine the promised Mars II MLRS and three additional PzH 2000 self-propelled guns.

The UK transferred Stormer anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine, the first six installations are already at the front. The British “invisible” air defense systems Stormer HVM can detect enemy attack aircraft at a distance of up to 18 km.

Slovakia is ready to start negotiations on the transfer of 11 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine.

The Parliament of Finland banned provision of tourist visas to russians.

The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Estonia demands the EU to ban Schengen visas for russians.

With the support of the WHO in partnership with the EU and USAID, nearly 6K vaccinations were given to internally displaced persons in 8 regions of Ukraine.

The Consulate General of Ukraine in Krakow reported that Hetman Petro Sahaidachny crossroad will appear in Kraków.
