Here is operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm:
Towards Volyn, Polissia and Siversk, there were no significant changes in the enemy’s activities. The enemy shelled the settlements of Mykolaivka, Volfine, Pavlivka and Ulanove, Sumy oblast with barrel and rocket artillery.
Towards Kharkiv, shelling was fixed near Dementiivka, Korobochkine, Pechenehi, Petrivka, Ruski Tyshki, Stary Saltiv, Tsyrkuny, and Pytomnyk. The enemy carried out airstrikes near Mospanove and Rtyshchivka. There were unsuccessful attempts to approach to Pytomnyk.
Towards Sloviansk, the enemy fired from tanks, barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of Bohorodychne, Dolyna, Husarivka, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovske, Velyka Komyshuvakha, and others. Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled the enemy’s onslaught near Bohorodychne.
Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy shelled Ivano-Darivka, Kramatorsk, Serebrianka, and Verkhnokamianske from artillery. There were missile and air strikes near Kramatorsk and Sloviansk.
Assault operations in proximity of Hryhorivka and Spirne ended in the enemy’s losses and retreat.
Towards Bakhmut, the enemy is trying to create favorable conditions for establishing control over the city of Bakhmut and the territory of the Vuhlehirsk TPP. There was a series of shelling in the areas of Bakhmut, Berestove, Kodema, Maiorsk, New York, Soledar, Vesela Dolyna, Vesele, Yakovlivka and others. There were airstrikes on Pokrovske. The invaders conducted onslaught near Berestove and towards the Vuhlehirsk TPP. Fighting continues.
Towards Avdiivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, the enemy continues shelling of civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of Avdiivka, Huliaipole, Kamianske, Krasnohorivka, Malynivka, Novobakhmutivka, Nevelske, Novoukrainka, Olkhivske, Pavlivka, Prechystivka, Preobrazhenka, Velyka Novosilka, Volodymyrivka, Zelene Pole, and Zaliznychne. Airstrikes were launched near Avdiivka, Kamianske and Novoandrivka.
The enemy failed another combat reconnaissance near Novoselivka Druha, suffered losses and withdrew. It already happened to enemy units advancing towards Mikilske and Novomykhailivka.
Towards the South Buh direction, the enemy’s main efforts focus on preventing the advance of our troops deep into the temporarily occupied territory. Intensive UAV reconnaissance was conducted. There was systematic shelling of civilian and military infrastructure in the areas of Bereznehuvate, Ivanivka, Kotliareve, Kvitneve, Lozove, Lupareve, Liubomyrivka, Nova Zoria, Osokorivka, Olhyne, Stepova Dolyna, Shyroke, Velyka Artakove, and many others. There were missile and air strikes near Murakhivka and Novohryhorivka.
Ukrainian defenders inflict losses on the enemy in all areas where active hostilities continue. Our artillery successfully continues its combat operations.
The United States will provide Ukraine with four more HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems, which will be included in the new military assistance package. This was stated by Head of the Pentagon Lloyd Austin at the meeting of defense ministers “Ramstein-4”, which started today online.
EU ambassadors have approved the seventh set of sanctions against russia. This was stated in the Office of the President. New sanctions will include a ban on gold imports from russia freezing Sberbank’s assets and over 50 individuals and entities on the sanctions list.
Foreign Ministers of the Czech Republic and Austria Jan Lipovsky and Alexander Schallenberg visited the cities of Irpin and Hostomel. After seeing the destruction that resulted from russian aggression, European officials pledged not to stop helping Ukraine.

Eastern regions
Kharkiv oblast
According to the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian invaders in Kharkiv oblast shelled settlements in Chuhuiv, Izium and Kharkiv districts.
Hostilities in Kharkiv oblast continue to rage. The enemy is trying to hold its positions, regrouping and conducting aerial reconnaissance. Izium direction remains intense where Ukrainian Armed Forces do not let the enemy through and do not lose their positions.
The enemy struck Kharkiv. As a result of shelling of Saltiv district with Uragan MLRs, 3 people were killed, among them a 13-year-old boy, a man and a woman. A 72-year-old woman was injured. Also, a 15-year-old sister of the deceased boy was injured, her condition is reported as serious. A mosque was damaged.
In Kyiv district, two rockets hit one of the floors of a five-storey industrial building and caught on fire. A 59-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized in a medical facility.
According to Chuhuiv mayor, Halyna Minaieva, the invaders shelled Chuhuiv, Kharkiv oblast. A school was damaged as a result of shelling. According to the head of Malynivka community, two men tripped a russian mine and blew up in Stara Hnylytsia, Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv oblast. One was killed and another is in serious condition.
A man was killed and 2 women injured as a result of shelling of Zolochiv community. 3 people were injured in Derhachi. Shops, a school, a cultural centre and a village council were destroyed as a result of shelling in Mospanove, Malynivka community.
According to the Ukrainian Ground Forces, in Kharkiv oblast, the Ukrainian military destroyed at close range a russian tank with a Javelin.
Donetsk oblast
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian troops repelled an assault by russian troops near Bohorodychne.
Invaders shelled 15 settlements in Donetsk oblast. They struck with R-37 missiles, S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, Grad and Tornado-S rocket systems, and artillery systems. According to Donetsk oblast police, there are casualties.
The evacuation of Sloviansk residents continues.
According to Mariupol mayor councillor, Petro Andriushchenko, in the occupied Mariupol, there are issues with drinking water supply to residents of the Livoberezhnyy district.
Seven paramedic teams from the international organisation Doctors Without Borders are working in Donetsk oblast, transporting the injured to hospitals in other regions.
Luhansk oblast
According to the head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Sehiy Hayday, the “Luhansk People’s Republic” mobilizes graduating students and people of near-retirement age.
The invaders are preparing for a pseudo-referendum on annexation of Luhansk oblast within its administrative boundaries to russia. But the region is not completely captured, with two settlements still holding the defence.
Northern regions
Kyiv oblast
As reported by Pechersk District Administration, a consultation center for internally displaced persons was opened in Pechersk district of Kyiv.
A patriotic mural will be created in Osokorky district. The wall painting called ‘The call of the kin’ is being painted on the fence of a residential building in Kyiv. The creators will place a shrapnel of a russian missile nearby to remind that none of them can destroy the Ukrainian nation.
The artillery units of the Vyshhorod brigade of the National Guard carried out military exercises involving live firing of MT-12 Rapira anti-tank guns. This was reported by the PR office of the Northern Kyiv Territorial Administration of the National Guard of Ukraine. All units performed their task well.
A painting exhibition and an auction named ‘Ukraine on fire’ by Vadym Hrinchenko will open in Bucha. The money raised from the sold pieces will be donated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Zhytomyr oblast
A regional employment services center reported that more than 200 internally displaced people found jobs in Zhytomyr oblast.
Privatbank offices are very busy with the visitors in Zhytomyr. People are lining up there to apply for financial aid. However, it is possible to send the application form from a smartphone by visiting aid.edopomoga.gov.ua, where one can also find the information on categories of people eligible for receiving such aid.
Sumy oblast
SBGS reported that shelling of the border continues. The occupiers shelled the Shalygine community, 8 mines of 120 mm caliber exploded on Ukrainian territory.
The head of Sumy RMA, Dmytro Zhivytskyi reported that the Esman community in the Shostka district came under shelling from barrel artillery. The church, toilet and power lines were damaged.
The Sumy MRA reported that the RebuildUA project launched digitization of destroyed infrastructure in Sumy oblast, starting with Boromlya. The information will be used not only to estimate the damage and attract funding for restoration, but also to develop a comprehensive plan for spatial development, analysis of land resources and local infrastructure.
The fifth annual “DIY Graffiti” festival is taking place in Sumy.
Rescuers, together with volontaires, dismantled destruction in the residential sector in the village of Stanove in Trostyanets region.
Chernihiv oblast
In Chernihiv oblast, the urban territorial communities of Koryukivka, Snovsk, Novgorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Horodnya are located in the combat zone. These territories make up almost 9% of the area of the region.
Chernihiv is starting to rebuild houses damaged by direct hits from shells and rockets. Mayor Vladyslav Atroschenko announced the intention to repair more than 140 damaged houses.
The Executive Committee of the Prylutsk City Council In Pryluky announced that a commission was created to examine protective structures for participants in the educational process and population.
Central regions
Vinnytsia oblast
There are still 55 people injured after a missile attack on July 14 in Vinnytsia hospitals. 8 people are in serious condition. One patient is in extremely serious condition with burns covering 98% of the body.
In Vinnytsia, the roofs of 8 multi-storey buildings damaged by a missile attack on July 14 were repaired.
At one of Vinnytsia’s enterprises, engineers continue to improve the autonomous unit Bandera Power for charging devices. Using this device, 9 phones can be charged in the field conditions, as well as car engines can be started.
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
At night, the enemy shelled Nikopol residential areas. З houses were destroyed, about 10 houses damaged. Rescuers pulled out the bodies of two people from under the rubble – a 70-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman. 9 people were injured, the youngest injured is only 3 years old.
Nikopol residents are being requested to move deep into the district due to constant shelling.The head of the Regional Military Administration Yevhen Yevtushenko informed that temporary accomodation is ready for 100 people.
The enemy again shelled Zelenodolsk with barrel artillery. They hit the park area of the city. There are no victims.
As a result of shelling, 50 hectares of fields burned in the Shyrokiv community, Kryvyi Rih district. Agricultural lands with wheat and rape were also damaged by shelling.
Harvesting continues in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. The first million tons of grain have already been harvested – 833K tons of wheat and 364K tons of barley. Because of russian ammunition, it is impossible to harvest more than 12 thousand hectares of fields. More than 400 hectares of crops were burned due to constant enemy fire.
In Kryvyi Rih, the mine was renamed from “Oktyabrska” to “Pokrovska”.
Kirovohrad oblast
‘In Kirovohrad region, preparing shelters in schools, kindergartens and medical institution and public places continues ‘ -said the head of Regional military administration Andriy Rajkovich.
Ukrainian language courses have been launched in the city of Oleksandria. There are already about 200 attendees.
Poltava oblast
23-year-old Volodymyr Malukha from Poltava with cerebral palsy is collecting money for night vision devices for the military. 2.5 thousand hryvnias have already been collected.
Cherkasy oblast
Ilya Kovtun, Nazar Chepurny and Nikita Melnikov from Cherkasy brought awards from the Maccabiah Games and Israel Championship international gymnastics competitions held in Israel. The team took the third place.
Southern regions
Zaporizhzhia oblast
The situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction has not significantly changed. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding occupied positions. The enemy carried out shellings of Ukrainian defenders’ positions using tank gunnery, artillery, and MLRS along the entire contact line.
Police received 19 reports of destruction of civilian infrastructure as a result of shelling by russian occupation forces in the areas of Shchaslyve, Komyshuvakha, Kamianske, Mala Tokmachka, and Huliaipole.
1500 people, including 396 children were evacuated.
The Security Service of Ukraine announced a suspicion of collaboration to the deputy of the Chernihiv settlement council from the “Opposition platform – for life”. The special services established that the deputy voluntarily agreed to take the position of “acting the mayor of Chernihiv municipal formation of Berdiansk district”.
Zaporizhzhia RMA informs that occupation authorities are spreading information in certain settlements of the region that are temporarily not controlled by Ukraine about creation of the energy pseudo-enterprise “GUP “TAVRIYAENERGO” on the basis of PJSC “Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo”.
PJSC “Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo” informs that there is no access to power grids and up-to-date information about their condition in the Vasylivka, Mykhailivka, Berdiansk, Prymorske, Melitopol, Yakymivka and Kamianka-Dniprovska offices due to the actions of the local occupying “authorities”.
Zaporizhzhia’s separate territorial defense brigade helps local farmers harvest crops. The brigade carried out measures to neutralize enemy ammunition to restore safe work conditions for Ukrainian farmers.
Volunteers together with representatives of the State Emergency Service held a children’s holiday “SafeTerritory” in Zaporizhzhia. Children from temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia oblast and neighboring regions, forced to leave their homes due to the war, were invited to the event.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to the South Operational Command, the enemy is trying to hold on to the defense lines, previously set up, and continues to strengthen them.
At night, the enemy launched 5 rocket attacks on Mykolaiv oblast. S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems fired 20 missiles from the temporarily occupied Kherson oblast.
There were explosions in several settlements of Bashtanka district. 8 residential buildings were damaged as a result of rocket fire in Bereznehuvate. 2 people were rescued from the rubble. Infrastructure facilities and residential buildings in the villages of Kaluha and Vysunsk also came under enemy fire. The information about the victims is being clarified.
The russian occupiers attacked Bereznehuvate, Vysunsk, Halytsyniv and Shevchenkove. Nine residential buildings, a cultural center and other buildings were damaged.
During the day two fires were recorded in Mykolayiv Oblast, which were caused by enemy shelling.
18 reports have been sent to Mykolayiv RMA regarding the alleged activities of collaborators and traitors since yesterday. The head of the RMA Vitalii Kim said that reports are being processed. In a few weeks, the administration plans to close Mykolaiv to identify collaborators.
Odesa oblast
There have been no changes in the ship grouping of the enemy fleet – there are 3 missiles and 3 large amphibious ships at sea. 24 Calibers are ready for launch.
At night, the enemy launched a missile attack on Odesa oblast using Su-35 aircraft. One of the missiles (probably Kh-59) was destroyed by anti-aircraft defense forces, the second hit an abandoned warehouse building. There are no casualties.
According to the intelligence service, Ukraine conducts research and demining of Zmiinyi (Snake) Island. Samples of the enemy’s weapons and equipment were discovered and seized during the operation. Among them are guidance and control systems, Orlan-10 UAVs, MANPADS systems, grenade launchers, flamethrowers, small arms, combat logs, personal documents of the russian military, electronic media.
Kherson oblast
Ukrainian defenders destroyed 11 occupiers and a “Msta-B” howitzer with a tractor, as well as a field artillery depot in the Doslydnyi district of Kherson oblast. The final losses are being clarified.
A pair of Ukrainian attack aircraft and a bomber attacked buildup of the enemy, its equipment and ammunition, as well as the Grad anti-aircraft missile battery in the area of Davydiv Brid and Ternovi Pody.
In the evening, Ukrainian attack aircraft struck an enemy tank platoon near Lozove, and an enemy stronghold was also destroyed. The results are still being investigated.
During the day, Ukrainian missile and artillery units struck several enemy command posts, control stations, and logistical support bases. Confirmed losses of the enemy so far are: 41 military, 1 Su-35 aircraft, 1 unmanned scout, 3 Grad anti-aircraft guns, 3 Msta-B and 1 Gvozdika howitzers, 1 communication vehicle and 2 ordinary ones. 1 field artillery depot was destroyed in the Bruskynske district.
The occupation authorities announced a “temporary restriction of motor vehicle traffic on the bridge” after the strikes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Antonivsky Bridge. Only passenger vehicles are allowed to pass through the bridge. This was reported by Kherson RMA.
The police opened criminal proceedings regarding crop destruction in Kherson oblast due to the enemy shelling. Only in the last few days, more than 230 hectares of wheat burned in Beryslav and Henichesk districts, about 10 hectares of forest near the city of Oleshky were damaged by fire.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office conducts a pre-trial investigation in 4 criminal proceedings based on violations of the laws and customs of war.
Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office reports that the so-called “chief railway officer of Kherson Oblast” was notified of suspicion of collaborative activity. According to the investigation, the suspect voluntarily agreed to take the position of the so-called director of the unitary enterprise “Khersonskaya zheleznaya doroga”.
The occupation authorities seized the Kherson Art Museum named after Oleksiy Shovkunenko and appointed a “new director”. This was reported by the current director of the museum, Alina Dotsenko. The so-called “new management” began its activities by opening funds. According to her, the occupiers are showing interest in the Art Museum collection, although there has been no attempt on the property of the Ukrainian state yet.
Western regions
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the security situation towards Volyn and Polissia has not changed significantly, but a strict ban was imposed on citizens visiting forests in the north of Volyn oblast. The border with belarus has been guarded. In case of provocations of the Armed Forces, the Territorial Defense and volunteer units are ready for decisive action.
36K people left Ukraine through the western border and 34K returned.
Volyn
The mayor of the city Ihor Polishchuk announced that a Volkswagen Transporter car, as well as 25 sets of military uniforms manufactured by Edelvika, 28 pairs of shoes manufactured by Ikos and t-shirts were purchased and handed over to the unit of soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the Polish Armed Forces, who are fighting as part of the Special Operations Forces. Everything was purchased for one day’s earnings, which the city council employees set aside for military needs.
The city council reported that the Coordination Center at the Kivertsi city council loaded four cars for servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The humanitarian cargo went to the fighters in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk and Mykolaiv oblasts.
As part of the “Shelter” project, 16 shelters will be set up in schools with the help and money of Polish partners Konwent Wspórzący Samorządowej Polska-Ukraina in Volyn.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded the order “For Courage” of the IIIrd degree to the military medic from Lutsk Oleksiy Kushner.
An exhibition of the charitable photo project “Historical Spring” is open in France. Photos of strong, freedom-loving Ukrainian women on the background of destroyed cities after the full-scale invasion of the russian invaders serve as its basis. Nataliya Savchuk, a native of Lyubeshov, is one of the initiators of the “Historical Spring” photo project.
Charitable fund for Ukrainians who lost their homes due to the war “Demyanov Divo” manufactures 20 square meter houses with a bathroom, kitchen, washing machine and air conditioner. As reported by the fund, investors, willing to participate in the project of shelter houses, were found.
Zakarpattia oblast
The RMA reported that since February 24, over 100K internally displaced persons have received medical services from Zakarpattia doctors.
A summer mathematics school was opened in the regional center of Zakarpattia. Over 250 local students and IDP children now have the opportunity to get more prodfound knowledge of mathematics under teachers’ guidance.
New exhibits of the russian-Ukrainian war were added to the collection of Zakarpattia Museum of Local Lore.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
To ensure the provision of administrative services to the residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk territorial community, the international IT company ERAM handed over computer equipment for the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council’s Central Administrative Service Center.
In Ivano-Frankivsk, a charitable exhibition of combat trophies of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade and photos of press officer Nikita Shandyba was opened in the Vagabundo underground passage. According to the organizers of the exhibition, exclusive artifacts were brought directly from the battlefield.
The Ivano-Frankivsk artist Roman Bonchuk painted Serhiy Prytula in a superhero image and handed the picture to Prytula. Serhiy Prytula is the founder of a well-known charitable foundation.
Lviv oblast
221 people arrived in Lviv from hostility zones by two evacuation trains. Evacuation buses organized by the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church also arrived in Lviv oblast.
The head of the Lviv regional military administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, met with the leaders of the Olson Family Trust 2022 humanitarian aid mission. During the meeting, they discussed repair and reconstruction of the region’s hostels, which will become a temporary shelter for displaced people.
In Lviv oblast, the “Lviv Knight” writing and volunteer initiative is taking place where Ukrainian writers give their books with autographs for the online auction “Reading and fighting”. The organizers donate all funds to the soldiers of the Armed Forces.
In Lviv oblast, a working group was created to coordinate resettlement of internally displaced persons. The main task is to prepare educational institutions as much as possible for the academic year and to provide forced migrants with proper living conditions.
The RMA reported that as part of the “1000 Freedom Cars” project, 12 fully equipped cars were handed over to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
An auction was held in Yavoriv Region, where paintings created at the “Trails of Yavoriv Krai” master class were sold. UAH 73 600 were collected for the Armed Forces.
Volunteers from the Yavoriv district prepare meatballs, fragrant pastries and dumplings. Delicacies are sent to the front line together with greeting cards for the soldiers of the Armed Forces.
The RMA reported that in the new academic year, almost 1K children who were forced to move to Lviv due to the aggressor’s attack, will go to schools in the Lviv community.
Rivne oblast
A foreign delegation of the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs visited Rivne RMA. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss current issues related to the war in Ukraine, forced migrants and humanitarian aid.
Rivne doctors were given 5 German Mercedes-Benz Vitos of 2021, which will transport doctors to the hard-to-reach settlements to provide medical assistance.
On the initiative the Department of Culture and Tourism of the city library together with the NGO “Help to the Rivne Army” launched the campaign “russian literature – for waste paper, and money – for the Armed Forces” was launched.
In the city of Sarny, the youth council organized a charity fair was hosted where goodies and handicrafts were sold, as well as beauty services, English language lessons, etc. were offered. Almost UAH 12K were collected at the fair. All proceeds will be used for the needs of the Armed Forces.
Ternopil oblast
Military man from Ternopil Oblast, Nenchyn Ivan Orestovych, received the award of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine – “Badge of Honor” for impeccable and outstanding service to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
The RMA reported that the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship allocated funds from its local budget and purchased 20 heat-reflective suits for rescuers of Khmelnytskyi. The estimated cost of one suit is 4K euros.
In Kamianets-Podilskyi, a feature movie about the russian invasion “Battle for Ukraine” is being filmed. It will combine real footage with staged scenes with actors. The film “Battle for Ukraine” is planned to be shown at international festivals to organize charitable fundraising.
Seven Banderomobiles and one Banderobus for the front were sent to military units and the National Guard from Khmelnytskyi.
Chernivtsi oblast
The “Starting help” foundation handed over humanitarian aid to the Chernivtsi geriatric boarding house – a meat grinder, as well as a guest house for the wards.
International support
EC Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis announced that Ukraine and the EU signed a memorandum on the first tranche of 1 billion euro macro-financial assistance.
The Bank of England transferred to Ukraine armored cars from their fleet. The cars were sent with Poland’s help.
France will transfer six 155-mm Caesar howitzers to Ukraine. Currently, 12 Caesar howitzers are on the front line and 6 more are on the way.
The fourth meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine in the “Ramstein format” has started. The US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that the United States would transfer four more high mobility artillery systems (HIMARS) to Kyiv as part of the latest package of military support to Ukraine.
The Chief of Staff of the US Air Force, General Charles Brown announces that the US and the Allies are studying the possibility of training Ukrainian pilots to help Kyiv create a renewed Air Forces.
Ukrainian children who lost their limbs as a result of the war will receive medical assistance in the US. This was agreed upon during the visit to Washington of the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.
International creditors agreed to postpone Ukraine’s Eurobond debt until 2024.
