Here is operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the russian invasion as of 6pm:

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there are no significant changes in the activities of the armed forces of the republic of belarus. Rotation of units involved in guiding the section of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border is being completed.

Towards Siversk, the enemy fired from barrel artillery and multiple launch rocket systems from the russian territory targeting Mykolaivka in Chernihiv oblast and Bilopillia, Iskryskivshchyna, Myropillia, Esman, Vovkivka, Zarutske, Zhuravka, Sumy oblast.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy continued artillery strikes at settlements to the north, east and south-east of Kharkiv.

There were the enemy’s unsuccessful attempts to conduct offensive actions towards Udy and Husarivka. There was an airstrike near the latter.

Towards Sloviansk, the enemy struck Adamivka, Arkhanhelivka, Barvinkove, Bohorodychne, Dibrovne, Dolyna, Chepil, Hrushuvakha, Novomykolaivka, Nova Dmytrivka, Semylanne and Velyka Komyshuvakha from barrel, rocket artillery and tanks. 

The enemy’s attempt to conduct combat reconnaissance near Dmytrivka failed. The invaders withdrew, suffering losses.

Towards Donetsk, key enemy’s efforts focus on advancing in the directions of Siversk and Bakhmut.

The enemy carried out artillery shelling near Donetsk, Dronivka, Ivano-Darivka, Kramatorsk, Rayhorodka, Siversk, Spirne, Starodubivka, and Verkhnokamianske. There was an airstrike near Verkhnokamianske.

Ukrainian soldiers inflicted significant losses on the invaders when they tried to move towards Hrihorivka, Ivano-Darivka and Spirne. The enemy chaotically retreated.

Towards Bakhmut, the invaders shelled settlements of Bakhmut, Berestove, Novoluhanske, Pokrovske, Vershyna, Vesela Dolyna, Yakovlivka,  and Zaitseve. Air strikes were carried out near Berestove, Maiorsk, Pokrovske, Toretsk, the Vuhlehirsk TPP, and Vershyna.

The enemy was conducting assault operations towards Pokrovske with some success, and was gaining a foothold on the southern outskirts of the settlement.

The enemy’s attempts to approach Berestove, Bilohorivka, Vershyna and the territory of the Vuhlehirsk TPP failed.

Towards Avdiivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, no active operations were conducted. The areas of Avdiivka, Charivne, Kamianske, Mali Shcherbaky, Mariinka,  Novoandriivka, Novomykhailivka, Novopil, Pavlivka, Prechystivka, Tonenke, Volodymyrivka, Vugledar, Velyka Mykhailivka and Yanvarske were shelled from tanks, barrel and rocket artillery.

There was an airstrike near Kamenka.

Towards the South Buh, the situation has not significantly changed. Mutual shelling from barrel and rocket artillery and tanks continues along the entire contact line.

In the Black and Azov Seas, the enemy ships continue to perform tasks to support the actions of ground troops and block the north-western part of the Black Sea.

Three carriers of high-precision weapons are ready to perform missile strikes on targets on the territory of Ukraine.

The enemy continues to suffer losses in manpower and equipment. The enemy’s ammunition depots continue to be blown up. There is an increase in cases of russian invaders’ desertion, who are trying to escape to the russian federation.


President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova and removed SBU Head Ivan Bakanov from his duties. The relevant decrees are already on the website of the Head of state.

The Energoatom statement claims that russian invaders abducted three employees of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. This is another attempt by the invaders to destabilize the work of Europe’s largest nuclear power plant. Since March, ZNPP has been under occupation.

The EU commission representative advised that Ukraine and the EU signed a memorandum on a tranche of 1 billion euros as emergency funding. This amount will be allocated at the end of July to support the government and the people of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation reports that Ukrainians, who left the country as a result of the war, can continue to use roaming in the EU free of charge. Previously it was agreed to provide it for three months, but the European Commission called on almost 70 EU operators to continue supporting Ukrainians. On the Ukrainian side, the statement is supported by three mobile operators.

“The Lesia Ukrainka National Theater in Kyiv has been officially renamed,” the Cabinet of Ministers said in a statement. The phrase “Russian drama” was removed from its name. Its repertoire will change, i.e. it will be “de-russified”. Since the full-scale war began, the theater staff has made an appeal for renaming.


Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine, the invaders failed in their reconnaissance battle in Udy and their offensive on Husarivka in Kharkiv oblast. The invaders continued shelling the region’s settlements with tanks, barrel and rocket artillery and aviation.

The enemy shelled settlements in Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Izium and Kharkiv districts of the region. Houses and outbuildings were damaged. Active hostilities continue on the contact line.

The enemy attempted to conduct a reconnaissance operation near Udy settlement, but this attempt failed. The invaders shelled Chepil, Dibrivne, Novomykolaivka and Velyka Komyshuvakha with tanks, barrels and rocket artillery. They attempted to advance towards Husarivka, but withdrew under heavy fire.

According to the head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, as a result of shelling, a 75-year-old resident of Kharkiv region was killed and 5 people from Chuhuiv and Kharkiv regions were injured. The invaders shelled Klutyno-Bashkyrivka and Korobochkyne at night and Mospanove and Tsyrkuny in the morning. 3 people were injured.

Wheat fields were burning. A fire in a medical facility caused by shelling was extinguished. Due to constant shelling, it was possible to put it down on the third attempt.

According to the head of Zolochiv community, Viktor Kovalenko, the invaders shelled a combine harvester in a field in the community. The harvesters survived, but the field was burnt out.

According to the head of Malynivka community, in Mospanove village, Malynivka community, 2 people were killed as a result of russian shelling. They were hospitalized in medical facilities.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down one of the missiles which the russian invaders launched from the direction of Belgorod on Kharkiv oblast.

Donetsk oblast

The russian troops launched a rocket strike on the central part of Kramatorsk. According to the head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, 1 person was killed, 6 injured. According to bomb technicians, the enemy used R-37 aerial cruise missile.

Invaders launched air strikes on the industrial zone of Kurakhove, Donetsk oblast. There were no casualties and the information on destruction is being verified.

According to Mariupol mayor councillor, Andriushchenko, in the destroyed Mariupol, russian invaders initiated a new wave of preparations for the so-called “referendum”. They are collecting personal data to prepare applications for receiving compensation for lost properties. In the city, the russian troops officially appropriated residents’ real estate.

The invaders shelled Sloviansk. People were found under the rubble of residential buildings. They were injured. There were four explosions in total.

Luhansk oblast

According to the head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Hayday, the russian troops are still unable to take control of two settlements in Luhansk oblast, so they are throwing reserves into the battle. He added the humanitarian situation in the region is difficult and there is no settlement that was not heavily shelled, almost all critical infrastructure of Luhansk oblast was destroyed. It is also difficult now to name the toll of casualties in Luhansk oblast because of the high intensity of the shelling.

The invaders are carrying out forced mobilisation in the occupied part of the region, from which not even a “reservation” at work can save them. Luhansk Regional Military Administration is focused on working to help our displaced people across the country.

During fighting for Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk, Ukrainian troops eliminated around 11K russian invaders. In addition, more than 20K were injured. This was reported by the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, in a discussion organised by the Atlantic Council.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

The head of Regional Military Administration Olexiy Kuleba informed that sappers inspected all previously occupied settlements of Kyiv oblast and cleared 52,862 explosive objects. This includes 270 towns and villages in Bucha, Brovary, and Vyshhorod regions of Kyiv oblast.

Damage caused by the russian invasion in Bucha has been estimated at over 5.2 billion hryvnias ($191.3 million). This was reported by the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE). According to their data, 2 512 buildings in the town were damaged, of which 301 suffered complete or severe destruction.

The ‘Painting for a Superhero’ campaign has started in Irpin to collect letters and children’s drawings for the troops defending Ukraine on the front lines. This was reported by the news office of the Town Council. Also, a conversation club “Communicating in Ukrainian!” was launched in the library of Irpin. The club has already had their first meeting.

Almost half a million hryvnias were collected for the “Vidrodzhennia” animal shelter in the village of Deremezna, Obukhiv region, Kyiv oblast. The “Iron Paws” charity campaign by Joker UA aims to raise UAH 1 million for the shelter. Currently the shelter is home to about 250 dogs and cats who need help.

The Kyiv School of Economics invites participants to the summer school on urban planning in wartime, “Re-building a better Ukraine,” to be held August 1-12. The program was created in partnership with the Method Bureau, the University of Groningen, Cedos, and the Borodianka territorial community, and includes theoretical online lectures by professors from the world’s top universities and practical offline classes in Borodianka and Kyiv. The organizers will select 20 motivated and committed students to participate.

Zhytomyr oblast

In Zhytomyr, shelters in schools and kindergartens are being equipped with everything necessary including additional emergency exits. Works continue to install proper ventilation equipment in shelters. According to the Regional Military Administration, the shelters are provided with lights and the heating and water supply systems are being adjusted for safe movement. Also, they are setting up toilets, fixing the flooring, and replacing doors. Each shelter will have water, first aid kits, and fire extinguishing equipment.

Another bus with humanitarian aid from Gmina Oświęcim arrived in Zhytomyr. This was announced by Zhytomyr Mayor Serhii Sukhomlyn.

Sumy oblast

Russian troops attacked the city of Bilopillia, the village of Myropyllia, Velyka Rybytsia, Pavlivka, Iskryskivshchyna of Sumy district, village Studenok, Starikove, Zarutske, Katerynivka, Vovkivka of Shostka district. A total of 113 explosions were reported. 16 private houses and 2 vehicles were damaged due to shelling. One person was injured.

The head of the regional state administration, Dmytro Zhivytskyi, said that the occupiers fired at Bilopillia and Krasnopillia communities of Sumy oblast, one person was injured. The occupiers also shelled Bilopillia with the “Grad” MLRS.

Pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service have discovered 8 explosive items in the territory of Sumy oblast: artillery shells, mortar mines, underbarrel grenades and anti-tank guided missile systems. The findings were discovered in Sumy, Okhtyrka and Konotop districts.

The President of Ukraine appointed Eduard Fedorov as the head of the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in Sumy oblast. 41-year-old Fedorov is a colonel of the SSU. Previously, he managed SSU departments in Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

Chernihiv oblast

Shelling of Chernihiv oblast continues. The enemy fired with 120-mm mortars, a large-caliber machine gun, MLRS, 82-mm mortars, rockets of 122-mm caliber and 152-mm SPH. The enemy also actively uses UAVs and radio-electronic warfare devices.

According to the report of Koryukiv MDA, the russians carried out another shelling of the territory of border settlements of the Snovsk territorial community. According to preliminary data, 4 residential buildings were damaged.

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast  

The head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Valentin Reznichenko reported that russian troops shelled Nikopol and Kryvyi Rih districts, causing destruction and fires at two industrial enterprises. Several private houses and power lines were also damaged.

In the afternoon, the russian troops shelled the region again: in Nikopol, they fired at a recreation center from the “Gradrocket launcher. In the Zelenodolsk community they fired at a tractor brigade with barrel artillery, damaging premises and agricultural machinery. No one was injured. 

According to the head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Valentin Reznichenko, the Ukrainian military shot down the russian Orlan-10 in the sky over Kryvyi Rih district.

In Nikopol, 12 explosive devices that remained after the russian shelling were defused in one day.

In Kryvyi Rih, the head of the military administration reported that children’s and youth sports schools were reopened offline with strict adherence to safety rules.

Military troops handed over a cannon removed from the russian BMP-2 to the Museum of the History of the Dnipro. 

Vinnytsia oblast

The community foundation “Podilska hromada” won the competition “Let’s stand in line” from the “Renaissance” International Foundation. The Fund directs the received funds to ensure functioning of the Vinnytsia Humanitarian Hub, which coordinates work between public and volunteer organizations maintaining the humanitarian front.

About 2 500 servings of food and hundreds of liters of bottled water were delivered by LLC Solodka Mriia (Sweet Dream) and the NGO World Central Kitchen to help victims and rescuers after a rocket attack on Vinnytsia.

In Vinnytsia, the toll of casualties of the missile attack on July 14 increased to 25: neurologist Nataliia Falshtynska died in the hospital at night.

In Vinnytsia, a performance will be held and a mural dedicated to Nova Kakhovka will be presented. Out of 8 walls of the mural, 2 yellow-blue walls symbolize 25% of the city’s residents staying in Nova Kakhovka, the art association “KUT” reported.

Volunteer Zoryna Hadzhuk has already collected over 10,000 hryvnias for volunteers and the Armed Forces of Ukraine by selling her own beadwork.

During charity readings by Kateryna Kalytko and Oleg Kadanov, the audience donated more than 7 thousand hryvnias for the needs of the fighters of the Kharkiv battalions.

Kirovohrad oblast

Residents of Kirovohrad region will be taught the profession of a junior nurse or a nursing assistant for patient care free of charge.

In the village of Nove in the Kirovohrad region, children organize mini-fairs to help soldiers and parents who are on the front line.

Poltava oblast

More than 1 500 food packages were given to displaced people in Poltava in two weeks.

Ludmila Teimurazyan, a volunteer from Poltava, made more than 300 trench candles for the military. 

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The situation in the Zaporozhzhia region has not significantly changed.

The police received 15 reports about destruction of civilian infrastructure facilities due to shelling by russian occupying forces in the areas of Tavriiske, Iurkivka, Vozdvyzhivka, and Kamianske settlements.

Rescuers extinguished 3 fires in the Zaporizhzhia district ignited as a result of russian artillery shelling. 50 rescuers and 16 pieces of equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of enemy shelling, humanitarian demining and providing assistance to the population.

1 575 people were evacuated, including 417 children.

According to the mayor of the city, Dmytro Orlov, 9 russian soldiers with injuries of various severity were brought to the city hospital of Energodar. One of the occupiers is in intensive care in critical condition, others are being treated on an outpatient basis or in a hospital. The dead are also reported.

The russian invaders took two employees of Zaporizhzhia NPP tpin an unknown destination, Serhii Pykhtin, the deputy head of the decontamination department for operation and management of radioactive waste, and Olena Riabtseva, the master of the decontamination department, “Energoatom” informs.

Anton Koltsov, the first deputy governor of Vologda region, has been appointed the head of the occupying pseudo-government of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast. This was announced by the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov.

According to Zaporizhzhia RMA,  assistance centers for residents of Berdiansk, Vasylivka, and Polohy districts should start working this week. A similar aid space already works for internally displaced persons who evacuated to Zaporizhzhia from the Melitopol district. According to the same principle, the hub for residents of Kherson oblast will soon begin to function.

Mykolaiv oblast

Farms and agricultural lands around the settlements of Vysunsk, Novy Buh, and Lepetyha in Mykolaiv oblast were fired again with the atypical use of S-300 anti-aircraft missile system.

Mykolaiv was attacked for the second time in a day. The enemy fired at the private sector with Uragan multiple rocket launchers and cluster shells, damaging windows and roofs of residential buildings. Currently, it is known about 2 injured people.

In the morning, the enemy fired at the village of Syroke. The information on victims and damage is being clarified.

Shelling of villages along the demarcation line continues in the Bereznehuvate community. According to preliminary information, there are damaged residential buildings, infrastructure facilities and economic facilities. The information about the victims is being clarified.

According to the mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych, the majority of enterprises do not work in Mykolaiv due to the shelling danger. Currently, there are small and micro-business enterprises operating in the city, mainly engaged in service and trade business.

Mykolaiv rescuers were awarded with badges for their courage and heroism during martial law. The fighters also received new equipment – a quad bike and a front-end loader. This was reported by the press service of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of the region.

Odesa oblast

At night, the enemy attacked Odesa Oblast with seven Kalibr missiles from the Black Sea. One missile was shot down by air defense forces, the remaining six hit the settlement. Five buildings were destroyed, a school, a cultural center, several private estates and cars were damaged as a result of the attack. Six people, including one newborn child, were injured.

The ship group of the enemy fleet has been increased to 3 missile ships and 3 large amphibious ships. Missile carriers have 24 Kalibr missiles on board.

The police exposed a criminal group in the Odesa Oblast, was engaged in the illegal crossing of conscripts into the territory of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic.

Kherson oblast

At dawn, Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit a buildup of enemy equipment and an ammunition depot in the Raiskyi district of Nova Kakhovka community, as well as an ammunition depot in the Beryslav district. Some facilities and premises were destroyed. Losses are being verified.

In total, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 65 occupiers, destroyed complex hardware communication “Redut-2US”, 11 units of armored vehicles and vehicles using rocket fire and artillery.

An enemy Su-35 fighter tried to attack Ukrainian aircraft with an air-to-air missile from the area of ​​Nova Kakhovka. There was no success.

The police opened criminal proceedings regarding abduction of three residents of Kherson oblast by russian military personnel. The reason for abductions was their refusal to collaborate with occupation authorities due to their pro-Ukrainian position.

The intelligent services reports that the police regime is being strengthened in the occupied territories of Kherson oblast. An order prohibiting activities that interfere with the work of “administrations” and other bodies created by rashists on the occupied lands was issued by the so-called head of the “military-civilian administration of Kherson Oblast”, collaborator Volodymyr Saldo. “Discrediting the russian authorities” and any information propaganda directed against the occupation authorities is also prohibited.

Western regions

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the security situation towards Volyn and Polissia has not changed significantly, but a strict ban was imposed on citizens visiting forests in the north of Volyn oblast. The border with belarus has been guarded. In case of provocations of the Armed Forces, the Territorial Defense  and volunteer units are ready for decisive action.

Volyn

In Volyn, a resident of the village of Pidgaitsi, Vadym Baygota, repaints cars and buses for the military that will go to “hot spots” for free.The auto mechanic said that he already repainted 16 cars for the military.

Young volunteers in Prylutsky raise money for the Armed Forces. The children drew a large poster and are on duty at the checkpoint. They have already collected UAH 14K.

Two high-speed ambulances from the regional communal property were transferred to the military brigade and one of the battalions of ground defense. The sanitary transport was additionally equipped with almost 60 spare tires and 400 liters of engine oil.

Luchesk certified medical tourniquets are manufactured in Volyn. These turnstiles were included in the register of medical devices of the Ministry of Health.

The dog Patron, becoming an Internet star thanks to his service in the State Emergency Service, received a surprise from the volunteers of the Lutsk headquarters of “Angar”.

Zakarpattia oblast

Since the war began, Zakarpattia customs officers have processed almost 90K tons of humanitarian aid and over 2 800 vehicles.

Viktor Mykyta, head of Zakarpattia RMA held a working meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Economy and Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Parliamentary State Secretary Levente Modyor. The economic issues, infrastructure projects for accommodation of internally displaced persons, as well as transportation of agricultural products through the transit corridors of our region to Hungary were discussed at the meeting.

In three days, a 10-year-old Andrii Yurkovsky from Uzhhorod collected UAH 2 800 for the needs of the Armed Forces, playing chess with passers-by.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The Ivano-Frankivsk RMA reported that with the support of the Red Cross of Ukraine, Ivano-Frankivsk region received 1 200 food kits and 1 320 medical kits from the charity organization “Stabilization Support Services”.

Lviv oblast

198 people arrived in Lviv by two evacuation trains from hostility areas. 815 people went to Przemysl from Lviv Oblast by four trains.

The head of Lviv RMA Maksym Kozytskyi met with representatives of the OFT UHAM humanitarian mission. During the meeting, they discussed the need for humanitarian aid, food shortages in Ukraine, which may arise as a result of the full-scale war unleashed by the russian federation.

The head of Drogobytsk RDA, Stepan Kulinyak, announced that artillery fighters of one of the military formations of the Armed Forces received a car from Drohobychchyna. The public organization “Dobro.Diy” equipped the car with bulletproof vests that will protect the military men during combat missions.

With the assistance of the Union of Entrepreneurs of Sambor, another car was sent to the military from Sambir Region to the front line.

Rivne oblast

The Department of Social Policy of the Rivne City Council together with the Rivne Charitable Foundation “Common Dream” and the Cornerstone Charitable Foundation from the city of Bucha organized family holidays for internally displaced persons and their families. Concerts, relay races, children’s contests, performances were held and treats were served. Such family events will become a weekly tradition.

Ternopil oblast

Thanks to the help from the Catholic Church in Berlin and the Association of Ukrainians from the Polish city of Szczecin, a modern ultrasound machine was sent to the Ternopil emergency hospital.

Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko came to Ternopil oblast. During the visit, the issues of material and technical support of hospitals, the level of medical assistance and supply of medicines in the region during martial law were discussed. The government official visited medical institutions, talked with patients and employees.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Volunteer headquarters “Ukrainian Team” together with the public organization “BO Strong Together” provides free legal consultations for forcibly displaced persons in the city of Khmelnytskyi.

A working meeting was held in the RMA with representatives of the Department for Civil Protection of the Population, Department of Education, Science, Youth and Sports of RMA, Department of Emergency Situations in the region, as well as heads of relevant structural units of Khmelnytskyi City Council. During the meeting, they discussed preparation of protective shelters in educational institutions and near critical infrastructure facilities

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA reported that the twin city of Mannheim handed over to Chernivtsi 2 low-floor buses with a folding ramp and equipped with air conditioners. These buses will soon carry passengers in the streets of the city.

Over 500 shelters were inspected in educational institutions of Bukovyna. Half of them, according to the commission’s conclusions, fully comply with safety standards. This was discussed during an online meeting with representatives of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Chernivtsi region.
