Here is the operational information as of 6pm:

The enemy continues to carry out missile strikes on military and civilian facilities on the territory of Ukraine.

Towards Volyn, Polissia and Siversk, the situation has not significantly changed. To demonstrate the presence and deter operations of the Defense Forces, the enemy fired at the positions of our troops near Budivelne, Starykove and Zarutsky of Sumy oblast.

In Sloboda Ukraine region, the enemy is regrouping to further advance towards the settlements of Barvinkove and Sloviansk.

The aggressor carried out shelling from barrel and reactive artillery, tanks and mortars in the areas of Barvinkove, Bohorodychne, Cherkaski Tyshky, Dementiivka, Dolyna, Ivanovka, Kharkiv, Korobochkine, Kostiantynivka, Mykilske, Novomykolaivka, Protopopivka, Prudianka, Rubizhne, Svitlychne, Staryi Saltiv, and Velyka Komyshuvakha. There were airstrikes near Bohorodychne and Mospanove.

Towards Sloviansk and Bakhmut, the enemy focuses its main efforts on establishing control over the cities of Bakhmut and Siversk. The invaders continue to use all available means of fire damage along the contact line.

The civilian and military infrastructure were struck in Donetske, Kodema, Niu York, Nykyforivka, Oleksandrivka, Pokrovske, Siversk, Soledar, Spirne, Travneve,  Verkhnokamianske, and others. The invaders launched the airstrikes near Berestove, New York and Soledar.

By offensive and assault actions, the enemy tried to gain a foothold near Hryhorivka, Ivano-Darivka, Novoluhanske, Semihiria and establish control over the territory of the Vuhlehirsk TPP. Ukrainian soldiers forced the enemy to withdraw.

Towards Avdiivka, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, the invaders shelled the positions of our troops with mortars, barrel and rocket artillery in the areas Bilohiria,  Huliaipole, Kamianske, Mali Shcherbaky, Nevelske, Novobakhmutivka, Novomykhailivka, Novopil, Novosilka, Olhivske, Prechystivka, Tonenke, Vladimyrivka, Vremivka, Vuhledar, Zaliznychne, and others. There was an airstrike near Avdiivka.

In the South Buh direction, the enemy continues shelling with barrel artillery and multiple rocket launchers along the contact line. There were airstrikes at Potiomkyne. The threat of missile strikes on critical infrastructure of the region remains.


Russia’s military facilities in the occupied Crimea are targets that should be hit by Ukrainian troops. This was stated by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Vadym Skibitsky. According to him, the Crimean Peninsula has become a hub for transfer of all equipment and weapons that go from russia to the southern regions of our state. Moscow is actively using the Black Sea Fleet to launch missile strikes on our territory. “Therefore, this is also one of the targets that need to be hit to ensure safety of our citizens,” said Skibitsky.

The International Court of Justice in the Hague will begin considering the case on accusations of the russian federation in the genocide of Ukrainians. This was announced by the agent of Ukraine in the International Court of Justice, Ambassador for Special Assignments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anton Korynevych. Russia may submit its objections to the court jurisdiction in this case by the end of September. According to Kornevych, Ukraine can prosecute russia as a state, as well as specific individuals. 

On July 19, at 10 o’clock, a regular meeting of the commission for holding a competition for administrative positions in the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office will take place. This is reported on the website of the Office of the Prosecutor General. Information on the venue of the meeting will be communicated to the Commission members additionally for security reasons.


Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy launched an airstrike near Mospanove village, Malynivka community, Kharkiv oblast. The invaders continue shelling settlements of Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Izium and Kharkiv districts with artillery. Russian troops are regrouping to advance towards Barvinkove.

According to the Regional Rescue Department, 3 people were killed in Chuhuiv as a result of an overnight rocket attack. 3 people were hospitalised in medical facilities. According to Chuhuiv City Council, one of the city’s schools, a store of building materials and several residential buildings were damaged.

According to the head of Derhachi community, Viacheslav Zadorenko, the enemy carried out a remote mining operation in Ruska Lozova village and Slatyne settlement of Derhachi community, Kharkiv oblast.

During the day, the enemy shelled Kharkiv district, especially Derhachi community, Izium district. There were no casualties. 

City Defense Staff recorded no strikes in Kharkiv last night.

Donetsk oblast

According to the head of Kramatorsk City Civil-Military Administration, Oleksandr Honcharenko, russian troops shelled Malotaranivka settlement. He added that the hit was in a field and road infrastructure was damaged.

According to the Mariupol mayor councillor, Petro Andriushchenko, up to 100 russian military vehicles were moving along Mariupol toward Zaporizhzhia oblast.

According to Pokrovsk mayor, Ruslan Trebushkin, the invaders launched rocket strikes on Pokrovsk community.

Luhansk oblast

The Luhansk oblast continues to hold the line. The number of shelling has significantly decreased due to destruction of enemy ammunition depots by Ukrainian artillerymen. Logistical issues now arise for the russians – they do not store ammunition in depots, but deliver it directly to the front line.

 According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Hayday, Ukrainian troops repelled a russian attempt to take control of Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway. Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianka continue to hold their defence.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed an enemy missile over Bila Tserkva region. There was no damage as a result of its falling. This was reported by the police of Kyiv oblast.

576 explosive objects have been cleared in Kyiv oblast. The EOD specialists were working in the settlements of Bucha, Brovary, and Vyshhorod regions. 52 363 explosive objects have been found and neutralized since the beginning of the works.

Knives RMA reported that the work continues to restore Irpin general education school #17. In the first days of the full-scale war, this school was hit by two shells that did not detonate. As a result, the windows and roof of the building were damaged, the walls were pierced and the ceilings between the floors were broken. Repairs are financed from the reserve fund of the state budget, from the local budget and by benefactors.

Volunteers created more than 300 power charging stations and sent them to the front lines. The ‘Sun for the Army’ charge stations are powered by solar energy and can charge any electronic devices (telephones, drones, radios, thermal imagery devices, etc). They are used by artillery units, reconnaissance, and Special Operations Forces.

The Prosecutor’s Office in Germany is investigating the leak of classified information about crimes committed by russians in Bucha. This was reported by the German media outlet Bild. Journalists have learned that after a closed meeting with 60 members of the Bundestag and representatives of the government, confidential information leaked to the media. Law enforcement authorities launched an investigation on the suspected high treason.

Zhytomyr oblast

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported that a project called ‘Safe Educational Environment in Wartime’ was launched in Zhytomyr. Under this project, the Ministry workers will check whether educational facilities in Ukraine can provide a safe educational environment for children.

The city mayor Serhii Sukhomlyn informed that over 5 million hryvnias were allocated from the Zhytomyr city budget to set up shelters at schools. Currently, 22 schools in town have shelters. Nearly 5 million more hryvnias will be allocated for construction of shelters in educational institutions in cooperation with the UN Children’s Foundation. 

According to the head of the Zhytomyr RMA Vitaliy Bunechko, as a result of the shelling by russian troops, 77 educational institutions were damaged and two were completely destroyed. 334 institutions of general secondary education have been inspected, of which 66 have already been equipped with shelters.

Houses in Korosten that suffered from russian military aggression are being rebuilt: at the beginning of March, four russian bombs destroyed the entire street. Some of the houses were restored, while 11 are beyond repair. The strikes were so powerful that cars parked on the street flew over the houses and ended up on the roofs.

Luhyn community has bought a car for the army. The staff of the village council, volunteers, and local residents all participated in fundraising and managed to buy a vehicle and prepare it for departure to the front lines in 10 days.

Sumy oblast

Znob-Novgorodsk, Bilopillia, Esman and Nova Sloboda communities of Sumy oblast came under the enemy fire. The enemy also fired 4 rockets at the Esman community. According to the head of the Sumy RMA, Dmytro Zhivytskyi, one person was killed and seven were injured. A school, private houses, and farm buildings were damaged.

The State Emergency Service reported that pyrotechnics in the Okhtyrka district of Sumy oblast discovered 9 explosive items – artillery shells, anti-tank mines and a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher.

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Service reports that the enemy fired again at the border of the Chernihiv oblast. The Semenivka community was shelled three times during the day, a total of seven 120 mm mine explosions were recorded. In the Novgorod-Siverskyi community, the enemy fired 120 mm mortars, four explosions were recorded.

The National Police reports that two boys were injured due to the explosion of an unknown device in Chernihiv oblast. It happened during a walk in the forest near the village of Maliiky, Chernihiv district. Both victims were hospitalized. Police are working at the scene.

A Coordination Center for rapid decision-making will be established in Chernihiv oblast to provide assistance to all affected communities of the region. This was discussed at a joint meeting with international donor organizations that provide assistance in the region – the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), People in Need, ReliefAid, ZOA, the Red Cross of Ukraine, the “Rokada” Charity Fund, UN and others.

The SBGS reports that border guards received an anti-drone gun as a gift from volunteers in Chernihiv oblast. The antennas of the device emit a signal that jams all communication methods of the enemy drone – it loses orientation in space and descends.

The destroyed high-rise building in Chornovola street, the destroyed “Ukraine” hotel, the bombed-out school #21 are the first works of destroyed architecture by the 12-year-old artist Varvara Paladia, who fled the war from Luhansk with her parents at the age of four. The artist plans to write a series of works on the destroyed Chernihiv and in the future sell one of them at a charity auction for the benefit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

The occupiers struck  Dnipro with X-101 missiles fired from Tu-95 MS strategic aircraft from the northern part of the Caspian Sea, killing 3 people and injuring 16. Two cars burned down, and almost 10 cars were damaged. All night long, rescuers were  putting out the fire on the territory of the enterprise in Dnipro, hit by russian missiles.The Air Force Command reported that 4 missiles were shot down by East Operational Command`s means of air defense.

At night and in the morning, russian soldiers shelled Nikopol, damaging a school, a vocational school building and 12 five-story buildings. 53 rockets were fired at peaceful residential areas. Rescuers pulled out the bodies of two dead people from under the rubble of the house, one more hospitalized. 

From now on, the curfew in Nikopol will start at 9:00 p.m., the city council reported.

Dnipro residents were moving out of the district where two russian were struck

Houses were damaged in Kyrobohrad, Apoystolovo and Shyrokiv by shelling. The Shyrokiv community is under shelling. One house was damaged in Shestirni. It caught on fire. There were no casualties. 

Explosive objects were defused in two districts of Dnipropetrovsk region. 28 cassette elements were found in the Kryvyi Rih district. Four modern anti-tank grenade launchers, as well as an artillery shell, were found in the Synelnikivskyi district.

Vinnytsia oblast

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration Serhiy Borzov, the number of people killed as a result of the rocket attack on Vinnytsia has increased to 24. A woman with 85% burns died in the hospital. 202 people sought medical help, 68 of them were hospitalized. Employees of the State Emergency Service rescued three people from under the rubble. One person is still missing. In total, 55 multi-apartment and private residential buildings, 40 cars and 2 trams were damaged or destroyed as a result of the impact.

The Red Cross gave Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration 500 vials of medicine for burns treatment for those injured as a result of an airstrike on Vinnytsia.

Vlad Sivak, the founder of the concert agency “SIVAK.Concert agency”, launched fundraising for an attack drone to avenge the enemy for the tragedy in Vinnytsia. The goal of collecting almost two million hryvnias is to purchase a powerful strike drone “PUNISHER”.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kropyvnytskyi, the regional football association launched the charity lottery “Bayraktarochka” in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Lottery participants can win a calendar with photos of coaches and players of the National Team of Ukraine, a football with autographs of Ukrainian football legends, and a “Glory of the Armed Forces” pennant.

Kropyvnytskyi singer Ksenia Chekanova shot a video clip for her own song “Cities-Heroes”, dedicated to the resistance of the Ukrainian people to the russian invasion.

Poltava oblast

In the Kremenchuk area, the Ukrainian army shot down an enemy missile. There were neither injuries nor damage.

Poltava Oblast plans to increase funding for the regional social protection program and introduce new payments – 20,000 hryvnias for wounded defenders of Ukraine and up to 25,000 hryvnias – for wounded civilians.

The distribution of about 1,400 kg of essential products for internally displaced persons – canned products, pasta, cereals and sugar – was organized by the deputy of the city council and SPAR partners from Europe.

Cherkasy oblast

The head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration Ihor Taburets reported two explosions in one of the villages of the Chyhyryn Territorial District and noted that the enemy fired at an agricultural enterprise. The damage was caused to a small number of livestock, agricultural machinery was destroyed.

Employees of the regional library for youth named after Vasyl Symonenko are collecting books for wounded soldiers who are being treated in Cherkasy.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction has not significantly changed. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied positions. 

The enemy carried out 66 shellings of Ukrainian defenders’ positions using tank gunnery, artillery, and MLRS along the entire contact line.

There were 13 reports of destruction of civilian infrastructure as a result of shelling by russian occupation forces in the areas of Novoiakovlivka, Tavriiske, and Yurkivka.

During the day 1 614 people, including 418 children, were evacuated.

According to Zaporizhzhia RMA, 407 people have been abducted in the region. More than 170 people are still being held hostage. 

Rescuers extinguished 3 fires that arose as a result of artillery fire by the russian occupiers. A wooden farm building was on fire in the village of Preobrazhenka of Polohy district, and wheat fields on a total area of ​​about 35 hectares were on fire in the Vasylivka and Polohy districts.

Mykolaiv oblast

This morning, russian troops launched missile attacks on Mykolaiv and the communities of Bashtanka district. The information on victims and damage is being clarified. This is reported by the Police of Mykolayiv Oblast.

Mykolaiv, as well as the communities of Pervomaisk, Shirokove, Volodymyriv and Halytsyniv were under fire from the occupying forces during the day.

The police documented 6 damaged private houses, three shops, three enterprises, administrative buildings, and destroyed buildings of two higher educational institutions after shelling the regional center. Residential buildings and infrastructure facilities were damaged in rural areas. Civilians were injured.

Odesa oblast

In the morning, the russians launched a missile attack on Odesa. This was reported by the South Operational Command. The missile hit a civilian object. According to the military, the missile attack was carried out using Tu-95 strategic aircraft from Stavropol. As a result of the impact of the missile, previously Kh-101, a fire broke out in the warehouse of a production and trading company in an area of ​​1000 m2. Rescuers are working on the spot. During the shelling, a 30-year-old man was wounded in the head by shrapnel.

The enemy carried out 3 missile attacks on Odesa oblast. Su-30 aircraft fired Kh-31 missiles along the coast. Three of them were shot down in the air, another hit a field between populated areas. There are no casualties.

The ship group of the enemy fleet consists of 2 missiles with 16 Calibres on board and 2 amphibious ships. The ships continue to block shipping in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

28K displaced persons were registered in Odesa. According to the Humanitarian Volunteer Center, most of them came from the southern regions. During 4.5 months of the war, 15K people used the services provided by the center. Food kits, dishes, clothes, household chemicals and medicines are available for displaced people at the humanitarian center.

Kherson oblast

According to the South Operational Command, the enemy continues artillery shelling and launches airstrikes in the area of Potiomkine. There is a threat of missile strikes on the region’s critical infrastructure.

The occupiers shelled the areas of Osokorivka, Trudolyubivka, Partyzanske, Pervomaiske, Blahodatne, Murakhivka, Kvitneve, Olenivka, Stepova Dolyna, Oleksandrivka and Tavriiske settlements with artillery.

A pair of Ukrainian aircraft was attacked 2 times by an enemy Su-35 fighter jet with air-to-air missiles over the Kherson oblast. No losses. The enemy tried to hit our positions in Kakhovka district with a pair of Ka-52 helicopters.There was no success. We have no losses.

Ukrainian attack aircraft struck 2 times a buildup of enemy personnel and equipment in the area of ​​Novohryhorivka and Davydiv Brid.

As a result of the work of the Ukrainian defenders, the enemy lost 47 occupiers, 6 Msta-B howitzers and 2 122 mm howitzers, 1 T-62 tank and 1 operational-tactical communication vehicle, 8 units of armored vehicles and 14 vehicles. In addition, an enemy BMP-2 was captured during the clearing of the territory of Potiomkyne.

The SSU reports that the assistant to the head of the occupation administration of Kherson, who called for the Soviet Union rebuilding, was sentenced to 5 years in prison.

According to Kherson RMA, farmers of Kherson oblast bear great losses due to the region’s occupation. Agricultural products remain in the region or are exported to Crimea at a low price due to the russian aggression. Many agricultural producers were tortured. They were forced to export their products to the occupied peninsula.

Western regions

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine says that the security situation towards Volyn and Polissia has not changed significantly, but a strict ban is imposed on citizens visiting forests in the north of Volyn oblast. The border with belarus is guarded. In case of provocations of the Armed Forces, the Territorial Defense and volunteer units are ready for decisive action.

Volyn

Humanitarian aid has arrived in Volyn from Great Britain: an armored car for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and food, hygiene products and clothes for internally displaced persons living in the oblast.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, posthumously awarded Volyn soldier Valentyn Mykolaichuk with the III degree Order “For Courage”.

In Lutsk, a little girl, Kamila, brought UAH 2K, which was given to her for her birthday, to the “Angar” humanitarian headquarters. She asked to give all the money to the needs of Ukrainian defenders.

The Volyn RMA together with benefactors sent another car to one of the Volyn military units to carry out combat missions.

Transcarpathian oblast

Thanks to cooperation of the leadership of Zakarpattia and Donetsk RMAs, the Mariupol Drama Theater has been operating in Uzhhorod for over two months. On July 16, the premiere of its first play “Cry of the Nation” was held.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

A charity mini-football tournament was held in the Sports Complex of the “Uragan” NFK Academy in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine among public organizations and institutions.

Lviv oblast

213 people were evacuated from active combat zones to Lviv by two trains. 830 people went to Przemysl from Lviv by four trains.

5 400 000 servings of hot food have been cooked in Lviv oblast for forcibly displaced people since the russian invasion began. This was made possible thanks to the financial support of the World Central Kitchen.

The Office of the SpivDia hub has become operational in Lviv oblast. This is a place where internally displaced persons and residents of the oblast will be able to receive psychological and legal assistance and employment consultations. Over time, IDP youth will integrate with the local community.

Representatives of the Lviv RMA met with representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, led by the adviser on foreign policy and security policy of the Czech Republic Tomas Pojar. The head of the Czech delegation says that Colt CZ Group SE plans to move its production lines to Ukraine. The Czech Republic has hosted a significant number of Ukrainian refugees. Now this is 6% of the population of the Czech Republic.

In Lviv, “Team A” organized a charity concert as part of the “Road to Victory” tour. Thanks to concerts in Lviv oblast and other oblasts of Ukraine, they managed to raise about UAH 2 million for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The support center for displaced persons “I am Mariupol” became operational in Lviv. This is the 10th such center in Ukraine. Here, refugees from Mariupol can receive humanitarian, informational, counseling, medical and psychological assistance. Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovy and Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boichenko visited the opening of the support center.

For pregnant displaced women who fled the war to Lviv, the Mother and Child Center “Unbreakable Mothers” built for them was opened. High-quality temporary housing for pregnant displaced women was built as part of the “UNBROKEN” project.

Rivne oblast

The WHO representatives visited Rivne RMA. They checked the implementation progress of the project of the Rehabilitation Center for national-level defenders in the region. The Center will be staffed by professionals who will be trained by foreign instructors. Equipment and tools, worth UAH 2.5 million, have already been handed over to the center. Staff training will begin in the near future.

Ternopil oblast

In Ternopil oblast, farmers were allowed to work at night to harvest faster.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

A 20-year-old man was detained in Khmelnytskyi, who offered Khmelnytskyi residents $30 each to apply “labels”. During searches of his place of residence, computer equipment, telephone, traumatic and melee weapons were seized from him. He faces up to 15 years in prison.

Chernivtsi oblast

Blind Mykola Dobrey from Chernivtsi, playing patriotic music on the accordion, collects funds to help the Armed Forces. The musician has already collected UAH 15K for the army in over three months, which he handed over to volunteers.

International support

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov announced that the first MLRS M270 systems arrived in Ukraine.

The spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ihnat reports that Ukraine will receive two batteries of the NASAMS anti-aircraft missile complex.

In one of the hospitals of the First Medical Association of Lviv, an agreement on cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in the medical field in the “EU4 Health” program was signed.

Canada imposed new sanctions against russia. Ferrous metallurgy, production of finished metal products, computers, electronics, optics, electrical equipment and vehicles, as well as land transport and pipelines fell under restrictions.

Canada banned provision of a number of industrial services to russian oil and gas, chemical and machine-building industrial sectors.

Ukrainian refugees in Poland received free access to medical care the same as its citizens.

Poland is ready to supply Ukraine with 232 PT-91 Twardy battle tanks.

Germany will allocate 2.4 billion euros to Ukrainian refugees.

In Vienna, the Rolling Stones demonstrated their solidarity with Ukrainians suffering from the full-scale russian invasion. Together with the Rolling Stones, the boys’ choir “Dzvinochok” and the girls’ choir “Vohnyk” took the stage. They came to Austria from Kyiv and sang the song “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”.
