Here is the operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm:
Towards Volyn and Polissia, units of the Armed Forces of belarus are conducting reconnaissance, strengthening measures to counter technical means of intelligence, primarily UAVs. Airspace over the southern part of belarus is closed until October 7 this year. The ban on the flights of civil aircraft has been valid since February 24.
Towards Siversk, the enemy actions have not changed much.
Towards Kharkiv, the enemy conducts the defensive and tries to improve the tactical position in certain areas. The outskirts and the city of Kharkiv were shelled with barrel and rocket artillery, as well as the areas of Bairak, Dementiivka, Korobochkyne, Lebiazhe, Mospanove, Nove, Petrivka, Peremoha, Pishchane, Pytomnyk, Slatyne, Svitlychne, Shevelivka, Udy, Verkhniy Saltiv, and Zamulivka. Not far from Dementiivka, our defenders twice repelled the enemy’s assault actions and threw it back. There was an airstrike near Petrivka.
Towards Sloviansk, the enemy is trying to improve the tactical position of its units. Mortars, barrel and rocket artillery were applied to firing at Dolyna, Chervone, Husarivka, Krasnopillia, Khrestyshche, Mazanivka, Novopavlivka and Virnopillia. Offensive actions of the enemy in the area of the settlement Bohorodichne failed. The invaders withdrew, suffering losses.
Towards Kramatorsk, civilian and military infrastructure in Karpivka, Kryva Luka, Serebrianka, Siversk, and Sloviansk were shelled. The airstrike was launched near Tatianivka.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine inflicted a powerful fire damage on enemy positions in the area of Verkhnokamianske, forcing the enemy’s units to leave the settlement.
Towards Bakhmut, the enemy shelled our positions near Ivano-Dariivka, New York, Spirne and in the area of the Vuhlehirska TPP. There were airstrikes near Berestove and Pokrovske.
Supported with artillery and tactical aviation, the invaders unsuccessfully tried to launch the offensive in the areas of Spirne and Ivano-Dariivka. They suffered losses and withdrew.
Fighting continues near Vesela Dolyna.
Towards Avdiivka, Kurakhiv, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, shelling from mortars, barrel and rocket artillery continues along the contact line. The enemy carried out airstrikes near Novoandriivka.
Towards the South Buh, enemy units tried to launch the offensive actions near Velyka Artakove. Ukrainian soldiers quickly thwarted this attempt and pushed away the invaders. There remains a great threat of missile strikes on the critical infrastructure of the region.
The enemy ships continue performing tasks in the Black and Azov Seas, blocking civilian navigation in the north-western part of the Black Sea.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that the warfare with russia may be terminated by the end of the year. He expressed this opinion in an interview with CNN. “If our state is united, as it is right now, if powerful weapons from our partners are shipped timely, we will be able to do a lot by the end of this year,” said Zelenskyy.
The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on compulsory insurance of journalists working in the combat zone. Media workers performing work under hazardous conditions must be provided with bulletproof vests, helmets and first aid kits. Since the russian aggression in Ukraine began, 32 media experts have been killed.
´Today, Ukraine spends its annual budget on defense every month. Currently, the state budget does not receive $5 billion per month. Therefore, it is vital for national businesses to operate, provide jobs and pay taxes. This is extremely important for our victory,´ the Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said.
The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine reports that since the full-scale invasion of the russian federation in Ukraine began, 102 575 babies have been born. During the war in Vinnytsia oblast and Kyiv, some newborns were named Yan Javelin and Javelina.
Eastern regions
Kharkiv oblast
According to the General Staff, the Armed Forces of Ukraine twice repelled an assault by the invaders near Dementiivka. The enemy launched air strikes near Petrivka. The enemy fired barrel and rocket artillery at Kharkiv and its suburbs, as well as Bayrak, Dementiivka, Korobochkyne, Lebiazhe, Mospanove, Nove, Peremoha, Petrivka, Pishchane, Pytomnyk, Shevelivka, Slatyne, Svitlychne, Udy, Verkhniy Saltiv and Zamulivka settlements. In Izium, the invaders shelled Chepil, Chervone, Dibrivne, Husarivka and Volobuivka settlements.
According to the head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, 4 people were killed and 9 injured in Kharkiv oblast. 2 people were injured in Chuhuiv region and 2 more civilians injured in Tsyrkuny, Kharkiv region.
The invaders continue shelling the region with ballistic missiles. According to the National Police, two such missiles struck Chuhuiv district last night.
According to Izium City Council, volunteers delivered medications for cancer patients, insulin-dependent people and other medicines to the russian-occupied Izium and Izium community settlements.
Donetsk oblast
According to the General Staff, the enemy is launching an offensive towards Kramatorsk. The Institute for the Study of War assumes that the russian troops “may create conditions for a possible Kramatorsk onslaught which will go in parallel with the offensive against Sloviansk”.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine hit russian military positions near Verkhnokamianka, Donetsk oblast, and drove them away from the village. An assault on Bohorodychne, Hryhorivka and Verkhnokamianka was also stopped, and russian troops’ attacks in Berestove and Vershyna were repelled.
According to the head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, 6 people were killed and 21 others injured over the past two days in Donetsk oblast. The russian troops continue to shell settlements in the region. Avdiivka remains under daily shelling.
According to the Sloviansk City Military Administration, Vadym Liakh, one woman was killed in the russian shelling near Sloviansk.
According to the Mariupol mayor’s councillor, Petro Andriushchenko, there was another riot in the Volonterivka microdistrict, Mariupol. People gathered to demand an urgent solution to the issues with drinking water, power and transport connection. The russian invaders completely stopped the water supply.
Luhansk oblast
The number of shelling in the region did not reduce, but the offensives of the rashists have recently slowed down due to the systematic destruction by our troops of the enemy ammunition depots deep behind the back.
The invaders do not stop shelling with all types of heavy weapons in Bilohorivka and Zolotarivka, using barrel and rocket artillery. According to the head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Hayday, it will take about 10 years for Luhansk oblast to recover from the war.

According to the Severodonetsk Regional Military Administration, Roman Vlasenko, the Ukrainian troops hold the defence line towards Siversk. Residents in the occupied territories remain without water and electricity.
Northern regions
Kyiv oblast
Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that this week a delegation from the French company Neo Eco, specializing in environmental monitoring of building materials, paid an official visit to Kyiv oblast. The guests visited the settlements of Kyiv oblast that suffered from the russian aggression. The capital region restoration was discussed.
As reported by the Kyiv Regional Administration, non-overhaul repairs of apartment buildings continue in Borodianka. Borodianka is one of the most destroyed villages in Kyiv oblast: 32 high-rise buildings were damaged, 8 destroyed to the ground. The repairs are being carried out at the expense of the state subsidy allocated to the oblast.
Anatoliy Fedoruk, Bucha community chairman, reports that the Bucha community is being actively restored thanks to the support of regional and central authorities of Ukraine and international partners. The survivors receive international support, specifically from municipalities in European cities.
According to the Kyiv City State Administration, about 86% of the enterprises in Kyiv have resumed their work. At the same time, the production capacity of the capital’s enterprises has increased by 60%, which is 20% more than in April this year. The number of job applications is growing. While at the beginning of April three people applied for one position, in June this number increased to 10 people.
The destroyed bridge in the village of Demidov in Vyshhorod region is being restored. According to the Kyiv RMA, lightning struck the bridge two weeks ago, causing detonation of an explosive device placed at the base of the bridge. Currently, the destroyed beams are being dismantled and a temporary embankment bridge is being built.
The information and analysis centers continue to work in the settlements of Kyiv oblast. The regional military administration notes that most often people seek advice on how to obtain compensation for destroyed or lost property, as well as on receiving social benefits.
A mural dedicated to Roman Ratushnyy was created in Protasiv Yar in Kyiv. The mural says “Heroes never die.” Roman was a well-known Kyiv activist and a public figure, who was killed in action near Izium.

Zhytomyr oblast
Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration held a working meeting with Erika Cherkashina from Estonian non-profit organization ‘Mondo’. Its purpose was to understand the amount of humanitarian aid required for Zhytomyr oblast. They were also discussing the possible assistance to internally displaced people in the oblast.
The educational institutions in Zhytomyr oblast can be reopened with the help of the Portuguese government. During a video-conference held by Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration with educators from both countries they identified priority areas for restoration of infrastructure facilities in the oblast. The Portuguese party has received technical information on each of seven reconstruction sites.
According to the Department of Health of Zhytomyr RMA, nearly 26K internally displaced people, including 5 473 children have been provided with health care services in Zhytomyr oblast since the beginning of the full-scale war. Health care services are rendered in any city, regardless of the location where the Medical Declaration Form was signed. Volunteers and philanthropists help ensure that health facilities operate efficiently.
Sumy oblast
The SBGS reports that the enemy continues to fire at the border of Ukraine from russia. The aggressor opened fire on Bilopillia, Shalygine and Esman communities. The enemy fired from barrel artillery, mortars, and small arms. There were no casualties among people or destruction of infrastructure.
The enemy launched two rockets from airplanes at the Khotyn community, and shelled the Myropillia community with artillery. The consequences of the shelling are being clarified.
The head of the Sumy RMA, Dmytro Zhivytskyi announced that the 10-kilometer border zone of the oblast is shelled by russian federation on a daily basis. The enemy uses the entire arsenal of weapons. 10 civilian people have been killed and about 40 wounded in Sumy oblast since the region’s liberation as a result of daily enemy shelling.
The Sumy RMA reports that one and a half million hectares of the region’s territory have already been demined thanks to the coordinated work of specialists of the National Police, sapper units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, TDF and the State Emergency Service, who quickly responded to requests from the public. Currently, most of the territory of the oblast has been surveyed and demined.
JSC “Sumygaz” reports that gas distribution has been restored to almost 4K households in the oblast. However, about 300 households remain without gas supply. The most heavy losses were in Trostyanets, Boromlya and Okhtyrka. Sometimes damaged networks need to be restored or replaced in the areas subject to constant russian shelling.

The head of RMA Dmytro Zhivytskyi said that Sumy received a letter with proposals for cooperation from the mayor of the Latvian city of Kuldiga and the head of the municipality Inga Berzyn. Many Ukrainians found refuge in Latvia, specifically in Kuldiz region.
Representatives of the “HelpUkraine – CF” charity fund, which takes care of military personnel, sent two cars to one of the Sumy battalion of volunteers.
Chernihiv oblast
The enemy continues shelling Chernihiv oblast from the territory of the russian federation. The State Border Service recorded about 120 explosions on the territory of the Novgorod-Siverskyi community. Shelling was carried out with MLRS and mortars.

Chernihiv oblast is recovering after invasion of russian troops. Repairs and reconstruction of damaged infrastructure facilities, residential buildings, and the transport network are ongoing in the oblast. The Chernihiv MRA reported that the priority is given to ensure bomb shelters function properly, to prepare for the academic year and the heating season.
Today, the representative of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, Edward Tavil, learned about the situation in Chernihiv oblast. According to him, the work of the relevant hub, which will help Chernihiv, Kyiv, Sumy and Cherkasy regions, is to focus partners’ efforts on the most effective direction.

In Chernihiv, law enforcement officers taught children the rules of mine safety. Guardsmen, together with the employees of the Patrol Police of Ukraine, conducted classes for children and told about the specifics of their professions. A four-legged defender named Jerry-Lee demonstrated to young viewers his skills when searching for explosive objects, weapons and ammunition.

As part of the #BikesforUkraine national initiative, the communities of Chernihiv oblast continue to receive electric bicycles. Last month, 20 bikes went to Kyselivka community. Yesterday the same number was sent to Ivanivka.

Central regions
Vinnytsia oblast
Graduates of Mykhailo Kotsyubynskyi Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University collected 75K UAH to support the defenders. A night vision device and a generator were sent to the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. Tactical medications were ordered.
30K UAH were collected during the charity event “With love in heart” , where Vinnytsia craftswomen sold paintings, cattail and ceramic products. A show of the ethnic clothing collection by the designer and organizer of the event Olga Karpova was held.
The auction of unique items from celebrities has launched in Vinnytsia. Funds will be used to purchase the vehicles for the Armed Forces Of Ukraine.
The coordination center of the public organization “Podilsk regional development agency” is being created in one of the largest Vinnytsia shelters, at the Vinnytsia vocational and technical education center #1. It will contribute to self-arranging and coordinating shelters, establishing aid and mutual support. Library premises have been used to equip the Coordination Center. Multimedia equipment and furniture will be purchased.
Dnipropetrovska oblast
In the morning, enemy shelled Kryvyi Rih district, Apostolovo and Zelenodolsk communities.
The blast wave blew out windows in one of the houses in the village of Novosemenivka, Apostolivo community. In Zelenodolsk, the cottage community and a park area were struck. There are no victims.
Since the beginning of the war, Dnipropetrovsk region has actively supported other regions suffering from the russian aggression. The head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Valentin Reznichenko informed that almost 1.5 million food kits were sent to 6 other regions.
460 internally displaced doctors were employed in Dnipropetrovsk region. It is the largest rate in Ukraine.
Drawing, dancing, sports competitions and psychological training for children are held in Kryvyi Rih at 66 locations.
Kirovohrad oblast
The registrar of marriages informed that since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion, 54 military couples got married in Kirovohrad region. During the period of martial law in the country, the marriage registration was simplified. People can get married the same day when the documents are submitted. It is possible to register the marriage without the presence of one of the grooms if he or she is a military serviceman.

Poltava oblast
7 militants of the terrorist organization “DPR” who fought on the side of russia in the Sumy region were sentenced to 15 years in prison by Poltava court. Their property will be confiscated.
Deputies of the Regional council will have online meetings to make decisions. 200K UAH should be allocated for the software.
Poltava officials signed a contract to continue the temporary shutdown of Kotlyarevsky cinema for 14 million UAH. However, due to a lack of funding, the work will not be carried out this year.
Cherkasy oblast
The State Emergency Service reported that on July 7, 6 dry grass and garbage fires broke out in Cherkasy region, which destroyed vegetation and some private buildings.
Southern regions
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
In the direction of Zaporizhzhia the situation didn’t change significantly. The enemy is focusing its main efforts on improving the tactical position and identifying weak points in the defense of Ukrainian troops.
The enemy carried out 53 shellings of the positions of Ukrainian defenders using tank gunnery, artillery and MLRS along the entire contact line.
There were 33 reports of destruction of civilian infrastructure facilities as a result of shelling by russian occupying forces in the areas of the following settlements: Novomykolaivka, Novodarivka, Temyrivka, Novokarlivka, Novoprokopivka, Preobrazhenka, Orikhiv, Stepnohirsk, Tavriiske.
The mayor Dmytro Orlov informed that several districts of Energodar are left without gas supply. The gas pipeline was damaged on July 3. It is impossible to resume the work now since the russian military does not allow the emergency repair brigade to get to the accident site. According to the information of the Zaporizhzhia RMA, more than 100 settlements in the region are left without gas supply.
During the past day 1647 people, including 436 children, were evacuated.
Since the beginning of the war, 393 civilians have been abducted on the territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, the Zaporizhzhia RMA reports. 230 people have been released, and 163 are still in captivity.
The Security Service of Ukraine detained a man who was passing on information about the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and objects of critical infrastructure to the russian special services to adjust enemy fire.
The occupiers intensified filtering measures after the military base in Melitopol was destroyed. The enemy began to place remaining military equipment in residential areas. This was announced by Melitopol mayor, Ivan Fedorov.
The hub in the Epicenter, a humanitarian center where most of the displaced persons receive the necessary first aid, was upgraded in Zaporizhzhia.

Mykolaiv Oblast
In the morning, the enemy hit the industrial infrastructure of Mykolaiv with the “Smerch” rocket salvo system. More than 10 prohibited cluster and high-explosive shells were launched at the city. The scope of destruction is being clarified.
The Police of Mykolayiv Oblast reported that the enemy shelled the villages of Ukrainka and Murakhivka. Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged. There are dead and injured.

5 fires broke out in Mykolaiv oblast as a result of hostilities. This was reported by the press service of emergency workers.
Odesa oblast
In the morning, the enemy fired a cruise missile of Kh-31 type at Odesa oblast. The rocket exploded over the sea. The ´South’ Operational Command reports that the enemy may try to inflict mass fragmentation damage in places of large concentration of people in the coastal zone.
The ship grouping of the enemy fleet has not changed – 4 surface, 2 underwater missile carriers and 3 large amphibious ships – continue to blockade shipping and threaten to use 40 cruise missiles throughout the territory of Ukraine.
On July 7, the patrol police detained and handed over to the State Security Services three people involved in collaboration with the russian federation. This was reported in the press service of the Patrol Police of Odesa oblast.

Kherson oblast
The enemy tried to attack the positions of Ukrainian defenders with a Ka-52 attack helicopter in Kherson oblast. Ukrainian forces repelled the attack. There were no losses.
The Ukrainian aviation launched helicopter strikes on a stronghold, a buildup of enemy forces and equipment in the area of Davydiv Brid and Pravdyne.
Ukrainian missile and artillery units destroyed two command posts of russian troops in Kherson direction. The information on losses is being clarified.
The enemy lost 12 occupiers, a tank, a “Msta-B” howitzer, an ammunition depot and an “Orlan-10” UAV, destroyed during an attempt to conduct reconnaissance in the Visokopilial area.
Many villages of Kalynivska, Velykooeksandrivska, Novovorontsovska, and Visokopilska communities are on the verge of destruction due to the enemy shellings. The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security reports.
A resident of Skadovsk was suspected of collaborating with the enemy. This is reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office. According to the investigation, the suspect voluntarily agreed to take the position of head of a pseudo-law enforcement agency – the so-called “Skadovsk People’s Police Department”.
Western regions
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the security situation towards Volyn and Polissia has not changed significantly, but a strict ban was imposed on citizens visiting forests in the north of Volyn oblast. The border with belarus has been guarded. In case of provocations of the Armed Forces, the Territorial Defense and volunteer units are ready for decisive action.
Volyn
Since the beginning of the war, Volyn has welcomed over 60K internally displaced persons, over 42K families with 18 800 children.
At the charity art project “Together we will win!” organized by the culture department of the Lutsk City Council and cultural institutions in cooperation with the Suchasna Ukraine charity fund, UAH 58K were collected. The funds will be transferred for the needs of the Armed Forces.
Another humanitarian cargo was sent from Volyn for the Ukrainian defenders to the front line – sleeping bags and shovels.
Zakarpattia oblast
UAH 58K for the Armed Forces were collected in Uzhhorod at the celebration of Ivana Kupala. During the event, volunteers held workshops with children, taught them how to weave wreaths and let them into the river. At the end of the celebration, visitors burned a model of the kremlin.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
In Ivano-Frankivsk at the charity game “What? Where? When?” collected UAH 11K for the defenders.
During the meeting in the RMA with representatives of “Terre des Hommes”, an international charitable humanitarian organization for children’s rights, an agreement was reached on key areas of cooperation such as financial assistance to the region and various training events involving representatives of Youth Councils and social workers on the ground.
Communal sports facilities of the regional council, children and youth sports schools together with the Studio events organization held two basketball tournaments in the cities of Kalush and Ivano-Frankivsk. UAH61K were collected during the tournament. The money was spent to purchase a car for the Armed Forces and send it to the soldiers at the front.
Lviv oblast
18 798 people crossed exit checkpoints in Lviv oblast. 183 people arrived by two evacuation trains in Lviv, including 20 patients from Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. Doctors assess their condition as moderate to severe.
The Lviv City Council, together with specialists of the Department of State Emergency Services of the region and the Lviv State University of Life Safety, trained people on how to act in case of chemical or radiation hazards.
200 internally displaced persons living in Lviv attended free classes on acquiring skills in eight professions. After the classes, they were able to choose their occupation.
Rivne oblast
The Rivne RMA reported that fireworks, salutes and other pyrotechnic devices were banned.
Ternopil oblast
Over the course of six months of the current year, taxpayers of Ternopil Oblast transferred almost UAH 210 million of military taxes to the state budget to increase the country’s defense capability.
In Ternopil oblast, the readiness of educational institutions for the academic year is checked. Almost 60% of schools have already been examined by special commissions. 55% of shelters that will be used by educational institutions have been inspected by specialists of the State Emergency Service.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
The Olympic champion rower from Khmelnytskyi Serhiy Nagorny decided to sell his medals, the gold medal from the 1976 Olympics held in Montreal. The athlete intends to raise money for the purchase of two quadcopters for the unit in which his son, an artilleryman, serves.
Chernivtsi oblast
A humanitarian cargo from the United Nations Children’s Fund UNICEF arrived at the Chernivtsi Regional Clinical Hospital. The medical institution received medicines, medical products, equipment, soft equipment (mattresses).
Residents of the Nedoboiv community handed over food, sweets, vegetables and fruit to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the east.
International support
A delegation of fire and rescue units from Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania arrived in Kyiv. The heads of the units will sign a memorandum on cooperation and discuss further assistance to Ukraine.
Canada imposed personal sanctions against patriarch kirill and 28 other people. The list includes the spokeswoman of the ministry of foreign affairs of the russian federation maria zakharova and propagandist olga skabeeva.
Canada’s Defense Minister Anita Anand announced that Canada will transfer to Ukraine 39 fire support vehicles manufactured by General Dynamics.
Poland is planning to build a huge grain terminal to help Ukraine export grain. The storage will be designed for 100K tons. Over 22 million tons of grain are currently blocked in Ukraine due to the war.
In Romania, the railway track to the Danube port was repaired to boost transportation of Ukrainian grain.
Romania is connected to the pipeline from the Adriatic and can now supply gas to Moldova and Ukraine.
At a closed meeting during the G20 summit, the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, addressing russian foreign minister sergei lavrov, said that he demands russia to unblock the export of Ukrainian grain.
In Paris, the city council unanimously adopted an agreement on cooperation between the capital and Kyiv. The agreement was signed back in April during the visit of Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo to Kyiv.
Estonian Eesti Pank launched a coin dedicated to Ukraine. The special design of the coin was developed by Darya Titova, a young Ukrainian refugee studying at the Estonian Academy of Arts. The Bank of Estonia plans to issue up to 40K coin cards.
