Here is operational information from the General Staff of the AFU as of 6pm:

Towards Volyn and Polissia, units of the armed forces of the republic of belarus continue to equip their positions, conduct inspections of control points and radio-electronic reconnaissance.

Towards Siversk, there are no significant changes noticed. To clarify our troops’ positions, the enemy conducted an air reconnaissance using UAVs.

In Kharkiv, there is a cluster of enemy troops from the Western military district. The settlements of  Dementiivka, Mospanove, Nove, Petrivka, Pytomnyk, Sosnivka and Tsyrkuny were shelled with artillery. The air attack was carried out near Rubizhne. Ukrainian soldiers successfully defeated a military assault in the Kozacha Lopan-Sosnivka area.

Towards Sloviansk, the enemy is trying to improve its tactical position and create conditions for an offensive near Izium-Sloviansk. The enemy fired barrel artillery and multiple rocket launchers at the areas of Barvinkove, Dibrivne, Husarivka, Karnauhivka, Krasnopillia and Velyka Komishuvaha.

The occupiers attacked the area between Dovhenke and Mazanivka. Our soldiers fought back and made them retreat with losses.

Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy is trying to seize the settlements of Hryhorivka and Verkhnokamianske. Electronic warfare complexes are used. Sloviansk and Verkhnokamianske were shelled from barrel and rocket artillery.

Towards Bakhmut, the enemy is trying to improve its tactical position and establish full control over the Bakhmut-Lysychansk road. The enemy fired artillery at the areas of Spirne, Vesele and Vyimka.

The enemy’s offensives towards Myronivka – Luhansk and Holmivskyi – Novoluhanske were halted by our soldiers who forced the invaders to leave.

Towards Avdiivka, Kurakhiv, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, to suppress our troops, the enemy shelled their positions with tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery. There was an airstrike near Maryinka.

Towards the South Buh, the enemy is trying to keep seized positions. There was artillery shelling of our troops in the areas of Bila Krynytsia, Oleksandrivka, Luch, Mykolaivske, Poliana, Ukrainka, Zorya. 

Four carriers of high-precision weapons are kept ready to be tasked with conducting missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine.

In the russian units, operating on the territory of Ukraine, total drunkenness is observed. The personnel of occupation forces are significantly demoralized by forced mobilization that continues in the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine canceled validity of the document, which provides for granting permits to military personnel to travel outside the place of residence during martial law and announcement of mobilization. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhnyy. According to him, an updated document will be developed that will regulate movement of citizens under martial law. Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for the document to be canceled.

At least 991 children have been injured in Ukraine as a result of a full-scale russian invasion. The office of the Prosecutor General says that according to official information of juvenile prosecutors, 346 children were killed and more than 645 wounded. Most children were affected in Donetsk (346), Kharkiv (186) and Kyiv (116) oblasts.

Representatives of the clergy of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) held a meeting on the territory of Sophia of Kyiv. According to Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko, this “historic meeting is aimed at overcoming division, serving the people of Ukraine and achieving a common goal.”

Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian invaders remotely mined the territory near Peremoha and Shestakove, Kharkiv oblast. Chepil, Cherkaski Tyshky, Husarivka, Kutuzivka, Mala Danylivka, Mospanove, Nova Mykolaivka, Slatyne, Sosnivka and Vesele were shelled by enemy troops from helicopters, tanks, barrel and rocket artillery.

The invader troops shelled Kharkiv Pedagogical University on the night of July 06. Three floors collapsed in the central building. According to Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a 40-year-old security guard was killed.

The monument of Skovoroda was not destroyed after the russian missile strike. The sculpture was removed from the rubble with some cracks.

According to city mayor Ihor Terekhov, russian missiles destroyed two administrative buildings – architectural monuments of 1917 on Poltavskyy Shliakh Street, Novobavarskyy district, Kharkiv. The buildings were used as Novobavarskyy district administration, administrative services centre and the treasury service. There were no casualties. One of the monuments cannot be restored.

The occupation troops shelled Chuhuiv, Kharkiv oblast, and there was a fire at a petrol station. Houses and other buildings were also damaged by shelling. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.

A wheat field in the Izium region caught on fire as a result of russian shelling. According to the State Emergency Service of Kharkiv oblast, the area of the fire was about 500 sq.m.

Donetsk oblast

Ukrainian troops repelled a russian offensive on Bakhmut and Sloviansk and caused losses to the russian troops in Kramatorsk.

There are 13 settlements in Donetsk oblast under invader’s shelling. Russians shelled 23 settlements in 24 hours. There were casualties. 44 civilian facilities – houses and infrastructure – were destroyed and damaged. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the enemy shelled Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove, Sloviansk and Toretsk cities, Malotaranivka settlement, Antonivka, Karlivka, Orlivka,  Pervomayske, Pivnichne and Semenivka villages. 29 residential buildings, a school, a market, factories and shops were damaged.

According to the head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, russian invaders shelled Toretsk. According to preliminary information, 1 person was injured and at least 3 are under the rubble. The rockets hit two private sector houses. Another rocket hit near a social facility but did not explode.

In the morning in the temporarily occupied Makiivka, a fire broke out in an ammunition depot.

According to city mayor’s councillor, Andriushchenko, there is no drinking water in the occupied Mariupol. There is technical water only in some parts of the city.  However, the occupation authorities in the suburbs are watering lawns destroyed by shelling.

Luhansk oblast

According to the head of Severodonetsk Regional Civil-Military Administration, Oleksandr Striuk, the russian invaders in the temporarily occupied Severodonetsk are trying to restart the city’s functioning, but due to the lack of specialists and destroyed infrastructure, they will not succeed. He added that it is impossible to restore water and heating in the occupied Severodonetsk without the return of Ukrainian authorities. About 7-8K people remain in the city. Some residents of Severodonetsk were deported to the temporarily occupied territories.

Invaders in Lysychansk take people to filtration camps. According to Valeriy Shybik, head of the City Civil-Military Administration, there was no communication with the occupied city. “We already have data on people being taken to Stakhanov to a filtration camp,” he added.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

During a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv, Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin pledged to help rebuild Ukraine and assist on its path to the European Union. The official visited the towns of Borodianka, Bucha, and Irpin, devastated by the russian aggression.

Kyiv handed over to the National Guard 1 200 bulletproof vests of the 4th and 5th protection class, which the city received from its partners. The Kyiv City State Administration assures that the gear has passed all necessary tests and examinations and has appropriate test protocols. In total, the city handed over almost 15 000 body armor and 5 000 Kevlar helmets to the defenders of Ukraine.

Over the day, 360 explosive objects were neutralized in Kyiv oblast. EOD teams worked in Bucha, Brovary, and Vyshgorodsky regions. A total of 4 885 explosive objects have been detected and cleared since the beginning of the works.

The Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv has completed a pre-trial investigation into a russian agent gathering intelligence on the capital’s defense and dislocation of military units. Another enemy henchman was exposed by SSU counterintelligence at an instrument-making enterprise in Kyiv, which is part of the defense industry. The Security Service of Ukraine reported that since the beginning of the war they had investigated more than a thousand criminal proceedings on treason and collaborative activities.

The war memorial routes in the capital region are planned to be created. A task force, responsible for the development of the concept, has been set up by order of Oleksiy Kuleba, the head of the Kyiv Regional Administration. The experts will work on the concept together with the occupation victims and local residents who witnessed the tragic events.

Zhytomyr oblast

Since the beginning of the russian invasion, Zhytomyr oblast has suffered 95 missile and bomb strikes, which resulted in 37 deaths and 100 injuries. According to the regional department of the State Emergency Situations Service, 1 808 buildings have been damaged.

In Zhytomyr, the operation of shopping malls, stores and other facilities with large crowds of people will be restricted during air-raid alarms. This was reported by the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration.

In pre-school and general secondary education institutions of Zhytomyr City Territorial Community meals will be free of charge for children whose parents are fighting on the front line. This decision was made during the meeting of the City Executive Committee.

The Minister of Education of Portugal, João Costa, stated that his country will help rebuild schools in Zhytomyr destroyed by russian missile strikes. A total of 70 schools in the city and oblast were destroyed as a result of the invaders’ barbaric actions.

The hippotherapy center “Berehynia Polisssia” resumed its operation in Zhytomyr after being closed for three months due to the full-scale war with russia. At the moment there are rehabilitation sessions for children with disabilities and displaced people.

Sumy oblast

SBGS reports that the russian occupiers continue to shell the border territories of the oblast. The enemy inflicted fire damage using MLRS, SPHs, mortars and small arms, and used UAVs for reconnaissance. Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Nova Sloboda, Seredina-Buda and Shalyge communities came under the fire of the occupiers.

Sumy oblast received a mobile hospital created by students of the construction faculty of the University of Texas (USA). It is equipped with two surgical tables, a water supply system and a generator. The mobile hospital will be used as a mobile operating facility to help the wounded.

Sumy RMA informs that 250 km of state roads and 330 km of local roads were completely destroyed in the oblast; 483 km and 350 km were partially damaged.

The first 12 apartments for forcibly resettled persons were purchased in Sumy oblast. The apartments will be rented out for just 1 hryvnia, primarily to large families. “The housing has a decent square footage, is fully furnished, with a minimal set of appliances and furniture,” – said in RMA. The first families will be able to move into the apartments just in a month and will pay only utilities.

Chernihiv oblast

The russian occupiers continue to shell the border areas of Chernihiv oblast. SBGS reported that the Novgorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk communities came under fire from the enemy. The enemy used MLRS, SPHs, mortars and small arms.

France will take an active part in reconstruction of Chernihiv oblast, badly damaged by russian bombing in the first weeks of the war. This is stated in the message of the French Foreign Ministry following the results of the conference dedicated to restoration of Ukraine held in Lugano, Switzerland.

19 of over 20 bridges destroyed by the russian occupiers were restored on a temporary basis in the Chernihiv oblast. According to the head of the Chernihiv MRA Vyacheslav Chaus, the connection between Kyiv and Chernihiv has been restored. The logistics between the villages of the region is currently being adjusted.

The Red Cross Society of Ukraine in Chernihiv Oblast will help build temporary housing for those who have lost it. About $3.5 million has been allocated for this. The following concepts are considered: a modular town, individual modular or multi-apartment temporary houses. In general, more than two thousand private houses and more than 800 high-rise buildings in Chernihiv were damaged due to military actions and airstrikes by russian troops.

A weapons cache set up by the occupiers was discovered near one of the villages of the Ripky community by the Chernihiv oblast police together with representatives of the military counter-intelligence. A cache of weapons and ammunition was detected in the territory temporarily occupied by russian troops: a machine gun with cartridges, an RPG-22 grenade launcher and hand grenades. Weapons and ammunition will serve Ukraine now.

Military training for civilians took place in Mena district. About 30 residents of the Mena community received basic skills in providing medical aid, sapper work and learned to shoot from an assault rifle.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

The situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction has not changed significantly. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied positions.

The enemy  shelled the Ukrainian defenders’ positions 53 times using tank gunnery, artillery, and MLRS along the entire contact line.

According to the National Police, the occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Huliaipole, Novoiakovlivka, Orikhiv, and Orlovske. There were 80 reports of destruction of civilian infrastructure as a result of russian shelling.

During the day 1 286 people, including 334 children, were evacuated.

Today, a 50-year-old resident of the village of Tavriyske, Zaporizhzhia district, was blown up on a cassette by a Uragan missile. The victim was taken care of, Zaporizhzhia RMA reported.

A plan for restoration and modernization of settlements is being developed in Zaporizhzhia oblast. It will involve not only Ukrainian architects, but also experts from Europe, who will help in reconstruction and development of cities according to updated standards. This was reported by Zaporizhzhia RMA.

The city mayor Dmytro Orlov reports that the occupiers are going to start a new school year according to russian programs in Energodar. At the same time, the invaders are experiencing a large shortage of personnel. There are no people willing to work for the occupiers, so they plan to hire teachers from the Crimea and the russian federation.

According to the Ukrainian Intelligence Service, due to the mass debauchery of the russian military, there is an attempt to ban the sale of alcohol to russian soldiers in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Mykolaiv oblast

The enemy continues the tactics of shelling with MLRS and cruise missiles on the positions of Ukrainian defenders and populated areas. The enemy is firing artillery in the areas of Bila Krynytsia, Luch, Mykolaivske, Oleksandrivka, Polyana, Ukrainka and Zorya.

At night, the occupiers launched a rocket attack on Mykolaiv oblast. The enemy hit civilian facilities in the village of Nechayane with Kalibr-type cruise missiles launched from the Black Sea. One person was killed. Two missiles were shot down by air defense forces.

Two russian Kalibr cruise missiles, used by the enemy to attack Mykolaiv oblast from a russian submarine in the Black Sea, were destroyed.

Villages are being shelled along the contact line in the Berezneguvatska community. The information on casualties and damage is being clarified.

The regional center and towns Bashtanka, Lymany, Zasillia and Solonchaky were struck. There are killed and wounded civilians. This is reported by the Police of Mykolayiv Oblast.

During the week, russian troops attacked the territories of Mykolaiv oblast with 30 rockets. All missiles, not shot down by air defense units, hit civilian facilities.

According to agrarian forecasts, 2.2 million tons of grain crops are planned to be harvested in the Mykolaiv region this year. This is almost half the amount collected in 2021.

Odesa oblast

There is a shipping blockade in the Black Sea. 3 surface and 2 underwater missile carriers are on alert. About 30 sea-based cruise missiles continue to keep the missile threat relevant.

Since the beginning of the aggression, the russians have struck civilian objects in Odesa oblast 45 times. Since the beginning of the russian invasion, 31 people have been killed in the region, 75 injured.

State security cyber specialists neutralized the network of russian Internet agents. It included 5 people who “dispersed” destructive posts denying war crimes of the invaders through social networks.

Kherson oblast

Wheat fields and forests burned due to numerous shelling in the Beryslav district. The situation is consistently difficult, hundreds of occupied villages and towns are without water and electricity, gas, mobile and Internet connections.

Russian troops attacked the Ingulets crossing in the north of Kherson Oblast and the area of ​​the liberated Ivanivka two times. There are no losses.

The attempted offensive of the russian military in the Lozove area was suppressed. Russian troops are trying to make up for losses. This is stated in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian military warehouses are burning in Kherson near the railway station. This was reported by Kherson RMA.

One person died as a result of the explosions in Skadovsk. There are injured, a residential building was damaged. This information was reported by the head of the Skadovsk city council Oleksandr Iakovlev. Local residents report that three rockets flew to the north of the city.

Kherson Shipyard ceased its activities, workers were laid off. The enterprise was stopped as there are no conditions for economic and production activities. This is reported on the company’s website.

The departments of state registration of civil status acts of the Southern Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice have temporarily suspended their work in Kherson oblast.

People’s deputy Oleksiy Kovaliov was informed of suspicion of treason and aiding the aggressor state. This is reported by the State Bureau of Investigation. At the beginning of July, Oleksiy took  the position of deputy chairman of the “Government of the Kherson region” illegally created by the occupiers.

The occupation authorities blocked Viber and YouTube in Kherson Oblast. Google and Instagram services also work with interruptions. Residents of the temporarily occupied region can use social networks only through the VPN service.

Central regions

Vinnytsia oblast 

Vinnytsia volunteers sent almost 40 cars to Ukrainian defenders in 133 days. Cars are either handed over by Lithuanians, Polish, or Ukrainians purchasing vehicles abroad using the collected funds.

A submachine gun without relevant documents was found in the apartment of a 37-year-old man from the city of Pogrebyshche. The punishment for such crime is imprisonment for up to 7 years.

Rescuers and doctors were trained on how to react to a chemical threat in the village of Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia oblast.

The Academy of Active Recreation in Vinnytsia conducts free SUP-boarding classes for the displaced people. There is also a free camp for displaced families. The program includes workshops, drawings and work with a psychologist.

The documentary film “Who are we? Psychoanalysis of Ukrainians”, directed by Oleksandr Tkachuk, is to be shown on the territory of the “PICH” art space on July 07.   An online meeting with the film creator will take place there after the film screening.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Russian troops shelled Kryvyi Rih region. The enemy fired 6 times from different weapons at 4 settlements at once – Shyrokiv, Apostoliv, Nyvotrudivsk and Zelenodolsk. A solar power plant was damaged by shelling at Shirokivska settlement. Several residential buildings were affected in the village of Shestirnia. There are no casualties.

The enemy shelled the Pokrovsk community of the Synelnykovo district with multiple rocket launchers. Three persons were injured. A fire broke out at a local agricultural enterprise. Rescuers are still trying to cease the fire.

Wheat fields in Apostolivsk and Nivotrudivsk communities, and a forest strip in Zelenodolsk community were caught on fire.

In the city of Dnipro, one of the residents displayed a red flag and distributed propaganda leaflets. He was informed of the suspicion.

Kirovohrad oblast

The regional prosecutor’s office reported about the enterprise that sent money to russia. More than 4.6 billion hryvnias were seized. 

In Kropyvnytskyi, meetings about creating and expanding one’s own business during the war were held.

In the Kirovohrad region, officially registered unemployed people, who have not been employed for 30 days, will be involved in socially useful work.

Poltava oblast

Mobile Medical Teams (MMC) of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Action for Health” started operating in Poltava oblast. It was created with the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and technical assistance of the University Hospital of Geneva.

Free boxing, freestyle wrestling, table tennis, athletics and football classes were held for all children in 4 sports schools of the Poltava community.

Cherkasy oblast

In Cherkasy, volunteers of the public organization “Dniprovskyi” make camouflage nets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In Cherkasy, summonses for military duty were handed over to a passenger and a driver who violated traffic rules and did not have an insurance policy.

Volyn

10 buses and humanitarian aid were sent from Volyn to Luhansk oblast. The transport will be used for people evacuation, needs of defense forces and other humanitarian tasks.

The museum director Iryna Kostyuk said that The Novovolynsk Historical Museum received the damaged fuselage of the Ukrainian drone “Stork-100” and fragments of a russian cruise missile.

Zakarpattia oblast

The Uzhhorod City Children’s Clinical Hospital received baby food from the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. 2.5-ton of humanitarian aid from the South Korean conglomerate YoungAn Hat Co was delivered with the assistance of the regional military administration Slovakia’s NOC and Slovakia’s Malta Aid Service.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The international charitable foundation Parimatch Foundation together with the Israeli Trauma Coalition continues the implementation of the project for psychologists of the IRC – a training course specializing in “Crisis psychological assistance”. The goal of the project is to share with Ukrainian psychologists effective techniques of crisis assistance, required when working with internally displaced persons during the war will the Ukrainian psychologists.

Together with volunteers and public organizations, the regional military administration handed over two all-terrain vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A Support Center for military personnel and their family members will be opened in Kalush.Specialists of the Center will conduct an initial consultation to determine how exactly a person can be helped.

Lviv oblast

In Lviv oblast 311 structures for protection were checked, 288 of which are safe, the rest will be put in order. A specially created commission, including representatives of the State Emergency Service, indirects the shelters.

Lviv oblast, within the framework of the initiative “1000 cars of freedom”, handed over 5 cars, bulletproof vests, military uniforms, grocery sets and children’s drawings to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The round table “Europe – Poland – Ukraine: rebuilding together” started in Lviv, which should contribute to strengthening relations between European and Ukrainian business circles and rebuilding the Ukrainian economy. The project “Europe – Poland – Ukraine. Rebuild Together” will include a series of consultations, events and an international conference.

Military administration of Drohobych district, together with the Kolo Charitable Foundation and in cooperation with the Spanish organization Aga-Ukraina, handed over the ultrasound equipment to the surgical department of the Central City Hospital of Boryslav. The equipment value is UAH 300K.

Lviv Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital “Okhmatdit” received 5 VAC devices for treatment of wounds and burns from the Ronald McDonald House Foundation.

Art therapy – drawing with colored graphite “Mavka” took place in the Novoyavorivsk Museum of Local Lore. The purpose of the event is to emotionally support the people forced to leave their homes fleeing hostilities.

Rivne oblast

At an extraordinary meeting of the executive committee of the Rivne City Council, the funds from the local budget were allocated to arrange bomb shelters at schools.

The Rivne Regional Institute of Post-Diploma Pedagogical Education launched 4-day “combat medic” classes.

For two days, doctors of psychology from Washington and Seattle were training the colleagues on working with servicemen returned home from the active combat zone.

Ternopil oblast

Part of the special forces fighting on the fronts were returned to Ternopil oblast in preparation for a possible offensive from belarus. They will help the Territorial Defense to prepare defensive structures in case of possible enemy breakthroughs from the belarusian side.

The mayor Serhiy Nadal reported that in Ternopil, UAH 24.5 million was allocated to repair the bomb shelters in schools and kindergartens. UAH 200K will be used to repair and arrange shelters in Ternopil’s Youth Educational Institution.

 In Ternopil, thanks to benefactors and with the assistance of the Ternopil RMA, a summer English-language camp for children of military personnel and internally displaced persons has opened. Camp participants will get more profound English knowledge with the help of interactive games and quests.

Ternopil terminated partnership agreements with the belarusian cities of Grodno and Pinsk.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The russian federation fired 4 rockets over the territory of Khmelnytskyi. One missile was shot down by air defense forces, the debris fell on the territory of the Shepetiv district. Three other rockets hit the territory of one of the Khmelnytskyi district communities. The target of the strikes was a water tower that supplies the community with water. As a result of explosions, one person was injured.

Chernivtsi oblast

The international humanitarian organization World Central Kitchen handed over 1 500 food kits for internally displaced persons (IDPs) to the territorial communities of Bukovyna. Benefactors promise to hand over 1 600 food kits.

Residents of the city of Hlyboke donated two cars for the needs of military personnel: a bus and an SUV.

A memorandum on cooperation between representatives of AAR Japan was signed in Chernivtsi RMA. Together with the local authorities, the people of Dobrochyn will implement the project “Supporting people with disabilities in wartime” by the public organization “Leader”.

International charitable organization Parimatch Foundation Ukraine handed over 20 sets of modern sports equipment to migrant children currently living in Bukovina.

International support

Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom Ben Wallace announced that the first group of Ukrainian soldiers arrived in Great Britain for military training with British instructors. 10K Ukrainian soldiers will be trained.

Cate Blanchett became the producer of a documentary film about the battle for Kharkiv. The movie Ukraine: Life Under Attack tells about a firefighter and two medical workers who work during the war.
