Here is operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm:

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation has not changed much. Units of the Armed Forces of belarus continue fortification of their defensive positions in the borderline areas.

Towards Siversk, the enemy shelled the settlements of Atynske, Bilopillia and Vasylivske, Sumy oblast.

Towards Kharkiv, russian invaders continue artillery shelling of the city of Kharkiv and settlements to its north, north-east and east. The enemy also carried out airstrikes near Petrivka. Ukrainian soldiers halted the enemy attempt of assault actions near Sosnivka and pushed the invaders back.

Trying to somehow prevent logistical support of the units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, the enemy remotely mined the area near Cherkaski Tyshky.

Towards Sloviansk, the enemy tries to improve its tactical position. The settlements of Bohorodychne, Dolyna, Dibrivne, Krasnopillia,  Mazanivka, Sukha Balka, Velyka Komyshuvakha and Voskopillia were shelled with artillery. There were airstrikes near Bohorodychne and Dibrivne. The enemy was partly successful in conducting assault actions towards the settlement of Mazanivka.

Towards Donetsk, main efforts are focused on firing our units. The enemy conducted air reconnaissance using “Orlan-10” UAVs  near Pavlograd and Pokrovsk.

Towards Kramatorsk, the aggressor shelled the areas of Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske with tanks and barrel artillery. There was an airstrike near Tetianivka.

Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled enemy assault actions in the village of Bilohorivka making the invaders withdraw.

Towards Bakhmut, there was enemy shelling from barrel artillery in the areas of Berestove, Spirne and Vershyna. The enemy also carried out an airstrike near Vershyna.

Our defenders forced the enemy to withdraw after their offensive towards the Vuhlehirska TPP and the unsuccessful reconnaissance battle in the outskirts of Berestove.

Towards Avdiivka, Kurakhiv, Novopavlivka, Zaporizhzhia and the Southern Buh, the enemy continuously shelled from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery along the contact line. There was an airstrike near the settlement of Ternivka.

In the Black Sea, three carriers of high-precision weapons are ready to be tasked with carrying out missile strikes on facilities on the territory of Ukraine. The total potential makes up to 20 sea-based Kalibr cruise missiles.

To somehow justify the destruction of civilian facilities on the territory of Ukraine, russian invaders continue spreading fakes about the location of military units in schools, churches and hospitals. We urge you to trust information only from verified sources and not to spread russian fakes and disinformation.

On the island of Zmiinyi (Snake), the flag of Ukraine is installed. The military operation on the island is over. Now the Ukrainian military says that this territory has been returned to Ukraine’s jurisdiction. 

´The Armed Forces of Ukraine do not need forced mobilization of women, and restrictions for crossing the border for military women will not be introduced,´ said Deputy Defense Minister Anna Maliar. The Ministry urges not to speculate on this topic during the war.

No assault actions towards the territory of Ukraine are observed on the territory of Belarus. However, the State Border Service of Ukraine claims that our state strengthens its border positions, and in case of danger is ready to face the enemy.

Energoatom reports that the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant continues to operate within the power system of Ukraine. However, the situation there remains difficult and dangerous. Since March 4, ZNPP has been captured by russian troops. For a long time, Rosatom representatives, as well as about 500 russian soldiers, heavy equipment, tanks and explosives have been illegally staying at the station.

Reconstruction of the country will take 10 years and cost $750 billion. Ukraine presented its vision of post-war reconstruction at a conference in Lugano, Switzerland. There are 850 projects in the plan that envisages the immediate beginning and gradual development, integration into the EU, promotion of private investment, etc. According to the Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, an important source for implementing the reconstruction plan is confiscation of the aggressor country’s funds.

By means of 3D scanners, Ukraine and Latvia will restore Ukrainian cultural monuments damaged by russian invaders. This project will be supported by the Ministry of Culture of Latvia and Riga technical university. The Latvian government provided similar technical assistance to Iraq in 2005-2006. According to the latest data, the russian occupiers have committed about 400 war crimes against Ukraine’s cultural heritage.

Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff, russian invaders assaulted Prudianka, Derhachi community. Our troops repulsed the attack.

The enemy sent a battalion tactical group from the temporarily occupied Izium towards Snizhkivka village. Russia also deployed additional barrel artillery units there. Near Izium, the enemy is conducting an offensive towards Bohorodychne, Dolyna and Mazanivka.

In the region, the enemy raided cities and villages in Bohodukhiv, Izium and Kharkiv districts during the day. Houses, outbuildings, garages and other buildings were destroyed as a result of the shelling. 3 residents of Bezruky village, Derhachi community, were killed by the invaders. The settlement was shelled by artillery. 6 people were injured.

According to Ukrainian Ground Forces, our troops blew up Russian artillery depots in proximity of Izium.

Rocket strikes partially destroyed a three-storey school building in Shevchenkove district. According to preliminary information, there were two hits and no one was inside the school building. The type of rocket is being determined by the police.

According to the Regional Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, there were 10 fires in the region overnight due to shelling by russian occupation troops. An automobile repair shop, a three-storey house, a garage and 30 hectares of wheat fields were on fire.

 

In occupied Balakliia, Kharkiv oblast, Serhiy Aharkov, a contestant on the show Ukraine’s Got Talent, has become deputy pseudo-city mayor. He fled to russia after Euromaydan and the events in the east in 2014 and now is back. He was head of the Popular Unity Union organisation and was one of the authors of Novorosiia Roadmap separatist project.

Donetsk oblast

The enemy is trying to push the Defense Forces units towards Siversk – Fedorivka – Bakhmut and establish control over Bohorodychne, Dolyna and Mazanivka. Combat operations continue. The enemy intensified the shelling of our troops’ positions using barrel and rocket artillery along the contact line. The enemy launched massive missile strikes near Berestove, Pokrovske, Spirne settlements and at the Buhlehirska thermal power plant.

According to Mariupol mayor’s councillor, Petro Andriushchenko, water supply in Mariupol remains the main problem of the city. Residents are forced to queue up in the morning at water collection points, which is not enough for more than 3 % of Mariupol residents. Water is collected everywhere, including sewage wells.

The humanitarian situation in Mariupol, which remains under siege by the russian invaders, is complicated by lack of medical aid. There are no more doctors in the city. For some time, the invaders’ medical workers worked there, but they also left the city. The russian invaders are also reinforcing the regime and re-positioning stationary roadblocks around the city. They are installing Czech hedgehogs and digging up equipment in the centre of the city.

According to the city’s occupation “administration”, the occupied Donetsk recorded a direct hit on a multi-storey building in Kuibysheve district. There were some casualties.

According to the presidential decree, 14 local military administrations were established in Donetsk oblast:

  • In Bakhmut district – Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Siversk, Soledar and Zvanivka Military Administrations;
  • In Kramatorsk district – Cherkasy, Kramatorsk, Lyman, Mykolaiv and Sviatohirsk Military Administrations;
  • In Pokrovsk district – Kurakhiv and Shakhove Military Administrations;
  • In Volnovakha district –  Komar and Velyka Novosilka Military Administrations.

6 people, including a child, were killed as a result of the shelling of Sloviansk. The Russian invaders used forbidden cluster munitions. A woman was injured in Kramatorsk.

Luhansk oblast

According to Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Hayday, fighting continues near Bilohorivka as invaders try to crush Ukrainian defence forces. Our troops are holding a small part of Luhansk oblast to complete defensive fortifications. He adds that there are over 300 K “new” displaced people from Luhansk oblast, and Russia plans to hold a “referendum” as soon as possible to annex the occupied Luhansk oblast and conduct mobilisation officially.

Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Hayday, stated that 60% of the housing fund in the occupied settlements was uninhabitable.

Northern regions

The enemy continues shelling the settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts with mortars and artillery, as well as dropping explosives from drones on the daily basis.  According to the State Border Guard Service, there have been more than 100 shelling incidents during this week. 

In order to provoke the AFU to return fire and delay their movement, russia continues to keep some individual units on the border with Ukraine. However, as of today the enemy does not have any main attack forces that could conduct offensive action.

Kyiv oblast

Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson visited Bucha and Borodianka, informed Olexiy Kuleba, the head of Kyiv regional military administration. The delegation witnessed with their own eyes the houses destroyed and damaged by the “russian world” followers, and visited the site of the mass grave near the Church of St Andrew the Apostle in Bucha.

Kyiv oblast rescue teams carry out preventive inspections in grain storage and processing areas. Specialists inspected the equipment, briefed facility staff and had fire safety drills on using the extinguisher in Bucha and Boryspil regions.

The REwind brand has announced the launch of a limited collection called Demilitarization capturing the reality of war in Ukraine.  The brand revealed a collection of jackets made of a parachute of a russian pilot who was shot down by Ukrainian forces. The brand’s founders say that these jackets are unique art objects, designed according to the philosophy of upcycling.

Sumy oblast

The head of the RMA, Dmytro Zhivytskyi reported that the enemy has again used prohibited weapons in the Sumy region. The Znob-Novgorod community was shelled with phosphorous and flechette shells. 120 explosions were recorded.

During the day, the russians launched more than 230 mines and shells of various calibers. Bilopillia, Khotyn, Nova Sloboda, Velyka Pysarivka and Znob-Novgorodsk communities were affected. Two private houses, a public transport stop and a power line were damaged in the Nova Sloboda community. A residential building caught on fire due to mortar shelling in the Velyka Pysarivka community.

A fire broke out due to the artillery shelling of the Atynske psychoneurological health centre. The administrative building and the dormitory were destroyed. SES’s rescuers evacuated the dispensary patients. Three of them were injured and hospitalized.

On the outskirts of Velyka Pysarivka, an enemy drone dropped a munition. In total, the SBGS recorded the work of russian drones 4 times, which monitored the border of Sumy Oblast from the air.

Dmytro Zhivytskyi reported that the Shalyginske community came under mortar fire in the morning. 10 explosions were recorded. There were no reports of casualties or damage.

The school of the Esman Territorial Community came under enemy rocket fire. The “North” OC reports that the rockets were launched from helicopters from the russian territory. The school premises were damaged. There are no losses among personnel and equipment. There is no information on civilian casualties.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the police of Sumy oblast are documenting the consequences of the shelling of Krasnopillia by the russian army. Law enforcement officers recorded damage to 18 residential buildings. Two civilians were injured due to the shelling. Based on this fact, criminal proceedings have been opened regarding the violation of the rules and customs of war.

Within the framework of the quality analysis of the regional TV channels’ content during the war, the “Detector Media” PA inspected Sumy “STS” channel. Experts note that the channel did not stop working despite the several-week occupation of a large part of Sumy Oblast as well as the shelling destroying many houses in Sumy. The channel broadcasts news every day and tries to launch new projects.

Chernihiv oblast

At night, the State Border Guard Service recorded machine-gun fire in the border area of the Snovsk community of Chernihiv oblast.

De-mining works continue in the oblast. According to the State Emergency Service in Chernihiv oblast, over the weekend, the EOD and sapper diver teams were involved in disposal of explosive objects 19 times and cleared a total of 242 such objects.

The State Emergency Service reports that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion the EOD teams have addressed 2379 requests. As a result, they neutralized 31381 explosive objects and inspected almost 36000 hectares of territory in Chernihiv, Nizhyn, and Pryluky regions, 132 infrastructure and community facilities, 22 km of power lines, 195 km of highways, and more than 7.5 km of gas pipelines.

The head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration Viacheslav Chaus gave an interview to the journalists of a Portuguese TV channel. He told about the events that took place in Chernihiv oblast during the occupation and ensured they were ready for another invasion of russian horde.

The head of the Regional Military Administration Viacheslav Chaus announced priority tasks for his administration: building a network of outposts, developing effective evacuation procedures, and ensuring safe routes and roads between cities.

During the active phase of combat operations, almost all available basements in residential and administrative buildings in Chernihiv were in use. This is almost 900 shelters. According to the information provided by regional military administrations, a thousand more shelters are located throughout the oblast.

The Regional Military Administration informs that the direct communication between Chernihiv and Kyiv, as well as with the communities on the other side of Desna river, has been resumed. After the highway bridge was bombed by the russian troops, these communities were isolated from the rest of the oblast. The new road will be able to serve vehicles of up to 10 tons.

Central regions

Vinnytsia oblast

More than 500 internally displaced women were examined by Vinnytsia medics during trips to the districts. The medical examination began in May.

The City Marketing and Tourism Department of the Vinnytsia City Council has developed a program for internally displaced children in July: cooking workshops, rafting on SUP boards and kayaks, a rope park and rock climbing.

A criminal group, stealing and selling wood of particularly valuable species, was exposed in Vinnytsia region. Among those involved in the crime is an official forest farm. Currently, the scope of damage is being determined. The investigation is ongoing. Perpetrators can face up to 8 years in prison.

The pizzeria LA PEC in Vinnytsia has been volunteering since the start of the full-scale war. They treat wounded defenders in the hospital with pizza, regularly deliver food to the soldiers  and volunteers, and buy transport for the front.

Vinnytsia craftswoman Nataliya Dremlyuga lifts the spirit and mental health of military men and their relatives with the help of her dolls. Among her works is the embodiment of Ukrainian “biological weapons” – combat geese, as well as a goose in the image of Boris Johnson, who is admired in social networks.

Vinnytsia artists presented the all-Ukrainian cultural association “Kolaboratsia Ukrainskyh tvortsiv” (abbreviated as “KUT”). Its purpose is to upgrade the outdated Soviet approach to culture and development of modern Ukrainian culture.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

The enemy again shelled  with artillery Zelenodolsk and Shyrokiv communities, Kryvyi Rih district. Kindergarten, school and village council were damaged in the village of Shestirnya, Shyrokiv community. The head of Regional state administration Valentin Reznichenko informed that there are no victims.

During half a month of chatbot operation, Dnipropetrovsk police received 600 messages about the “russian world” advocates. The information about more than 20 of them was handed to the Security Service of Ukraine. The criminal investigation had been opened by police for 5 of them.

In Kryvyi Rih, in every district of the city, the language club “Let’s talk Ukrainian” is held. There are also online classes for those who want to learn Ukrainian. More than 500 residents of Kryvyi Rih have already registered.

The head of Regional state administration Valentin Reznichenko informed that 6 out of 7 districts of Dnipropetrovsk oblast have started harvesting. That’s almost 2 million hectares of land. Farmers harvest barley, wheat, rapeseed, and peas.

Kirovohrad oblast 

The Chief Sanitary doctor of the region Nadiia Operchuk informed that 4 945 children from 12 to 17 years old were vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Poltava oblast 

Police officers of the Poltava oblast were congratulated on the occasion of their professional holiday and presented the awards.

With the help of Polish Sigmafon systems from the Ministry of Health, 10 medical institutions of the Poltava region will be able to perform remote online screening of fetus state in pregnant women. This device makes it possible to detect a threat to the fetus development at an early stage and immediately transfer the data to the doctor.

Head of the Kremenchuk military administration Oleg Lednik claimed that in Kremenchuk, the traffic on the Kryukiv bridge was prohibited for public transport and limited for private transport during the air raid to avoid gathering a large number of people.

Dmytro Korol from Kremenchuk is working with his students from the children’s club on a large vyryvanka (kind of a picture) dedicated to the defenders of Ukraine. Now the central element is ready. Iis bigger than 2 by 3 meters.

Tatyana Sihida from Poltava coordinates the work of the “Hand-made for the army by the hands of dedicated Poltava women” unit weaving camouflage nets for the military. In addition to nets, 4K pieces of which have been produced since 2014, volunteers make rugs, balaclavas, underwear and vests for the military without any breaks.

Cherkasy oblast

With the help of the “Mercy and Health Charitable Foundation”, the Cherkasy unit of the National Guard was given a modern ambulance equipped with the devices required to provide assistance to the victims, which greatly increases the chances of saving the wounded.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia Oblast

The situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction has not changed significantly. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied positions. The enemy fired 50 times on Ukrainian defenders’ positions using tank gunnery, artillery, and MLRS along the entire contact line.

The occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Huliaipole and Tavriiske. There were 8 reports of destruction of civilian infrastructure.

Over the course of two days, 21 reports about the destruction of civilian infrastructure facilities were recorded from residents of Orikhiv district. Residents of Orikhiv and nearby villages reported damage to private houses, high-rise buildings and other local facilities. There was no information about the dead and wounded.

During the day 937 people, including 213 children, were evacuated.

As of now more than 24K consumers in 97 settlements of Zaporizhzhia Oblast are left without power supply due to damage to power lines.

The situation with gas supply hasn’t changed. As of today, almost 87K consumers in 110 settlements of the region do not have gas supply.

Diver Andriy Honcharuk, an employee of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, died in the Energodar hospital after being beaten by the russian occupiers. The press service of Energoatom reports that the russian military beat and tortured the diver, forcing him to come up with justifications for the need to drain the cooling pools. The man refused, for which he paid with his life.

Mykolaiv Oblast

Shelling of villages along the demarcation line continues in Mykolaiv Oblast. The information on casualties and damage is being clarified. After the strikes, there are damaged and destroyed buildings on the territory of Kutsurubska, Pervomayska, and Voskresenska communities. There were no casualties.

The enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the area of ​​the administrative border of the regions three times with Ka-52 attack helicopters. There are no losses. The enemy fired heavy barrel artillery at Mykolaiv. Seven shells hit the area of ​​one of the city cemeteries. No loss was recorded.

Yesterday 3 fires were registered as a result of hostilities. This is reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Oblast. A residential building, an outbuilding and 7 garages in Mykolaiv district burned down after being hit by ammunition and their fragments.

Ukrainian troops struck two enemy ammunition depots in Bashtanka and Snigurivka districts. The liquidation of one warehouse is confirmed. Other information is to be clarified so 

As of July 4, 6 608 civilian objects were damaged in Mykolayiv oblast.

The State Security Services neutralized 3 enemy agents in the course of a special operation in Mykolaiv oblast. They were scouting the combat positions and movements of the units of the Armed Forces, as well as the geolocation of strategic objects of critical infrastructure in the region. The detainees have been notified of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code.

A humanitarian cargo from the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Moldova arrived to Mykolaiv. The aid includes protein bars, goodies for children, food and medical supplies for territorial communities of the region.

The President awarded the Order of Danylo Halytskyi to the Mykolaiv marine Yuri Hamaza, the commander of the marine infantry platoon. Thanks to his actions, the personnel of the marines successfully regrouped and continues to hold the defense near Berezneguvate, Mykolaiv oblast.

Odesa Oblast

The ship group of the enemy fleet consists of 1 large landing ship, 3 surface and 1 submarine missile carriers. The ships equipped with 28 Kalibr missiles continue to block shipping in the territorial sea and the exclusive maritime economic zone of Ukraine.

The military operation on Zmiinyi (Snake) Island has been completed. The flag of Ukraine was delivered to the island by helicopter.

Four dead dolphins were found again in Odesa oblast. As a result of hostilities in the sea, animals’ organs of navigation and hearing are affected and they catch infections due to the weak immune system.

Kherson oblast

In the South Buh and Tavriia directions, the aggressor’s main efforts are focused on trying to regain lost positions in the areas of the settlements of Ivanivka, Myrne, Potiomkine and preventing Ukrainian troops from carrying out counteroffensive actions in Kherson and Mykolaiv Oblasts. The enemy is improving the engineering equipment of the positions in Novovoskresenskyi district.

As a part of the logistical support of troops the enemy moved 17 wagons with ammunition from the temporarily occupied Crimea to the “Kalanchak” railway station (Myrne, Kherson oblast).

The enemy continues to carry out air and missile strikes, conduct artillery fire, but without success.

At dawn, Novovorontsovka and Visokopilsk communities in Kherson oblast, as well as Vysunsk in Mykolaiv Oblast, were fired from Smerch multiple-launch rocket systems. Residential buildings, social infrastructure facilities and agricultural land were affected. There is no data on victims.

Two local residents were blown up on an enemy cluster munition during field work in Zahradivka. One died on the spot, and the second person was hospitalized with multiple shrapnel wounds.

Explosions and shelling were reported in Beryslavskyi and Kakhovskyi districts. The occupiers use all possible types of weapons to destroy residential buildings and social infrastructure.

Trying to reconnoitre Ukrainian positions in Kherson oblast, the enemy launched the Orlan-10 drone, destroyed by the portable anti-aircraft missile system.

Ukrainian missile and artillery units, while performing fire missions, destroyed 36 invaders, 2 howitzer guns, 2 Uragan RSV, 2 tanks, 6 units of special and other armored vehicles, as well as a warehouse with ammunition during the night.

People’s Resistance Movement “Yellow Ribbon” announced an open-ended action “Stop Referendum” in Kherson oblast and other occupied territories

In the temporarily occupied Kherson, people are returning to “natural exchange” in local stores. This is reported by the State Intelligence Services. Numerous cases of “food loans” are recorded, when sellers in grocery or hardware stores lend goods at a rate of 10-20%.

Cases of abduction of former heads of communal institutions and local executive bodies have become more frequent in Kherson. This is due to the efforts of the occupation administration to “persuade” them to cooperate with the occupiers and return to their former workplace.

Western regions

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the security situation towards Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed significantly, but a strict ban was imposed on citizens visiting forests in the north of Volyn oblast. The border with belarus has been guarded. In case of provocations of the Armed Forces, the Territorial Defense and volunteer units are ready for decisive action.

 Chernivtsi oblast

Serhii Osachuk, head of the Chernivtsi regional military administration, met with American benefactors. The meeting participants agreed that their cooperation and communication will continue even after the victory. They plan to partner with the territorial communities of Bukovyna, the US and implement a number of projects.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

A new patriotic mural appeared on the wall of a house in Ivano-Frankivsk.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, the photo exhibition dedicated to the events at “Azovstal” was opened on Vichev Maidan. The event was organized with the assistance and support of the Association of “Azovstal” defenders’ families. They showcast the most vivid shots of the events, taken by the soldiers themselves.

During the meeting of head of Ivano-Frankivsk RMA Svitlana Onyshchuk with representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, it was agreed that Mission of the Red Cross will join the project of arranging premises for the long-term residence of internally displaced persons in Prykarpattya.

Lviv oblast

191 people arrived by two evacuation trains in Lviv, including 15 people from Kharkiv oblast, including 5 children, admitted to hospital in Lviv. Doctors assess their condition as moderate to severe.

18 938 people crossed checkpoints in Lviv oblast.
