Here is the operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 6pm:
The enemy continues to carry out missile strikes on civilian facilities on the territory of Ukraine. Sloviansk in Donetsk oblast was subject to massive shelling. The city was fired from multiple launch rocket systems. At least six people were killed and 15 injured.
Towards Volyn and Polissia, there are no significant changes in the position and nature of activities of the armed forces of the republic of belarus.
Towards Siversk, the enemy fired artillery and mortars at the border settlements of Bachivsk and Vovkivka, Sumy oblast.
Towards Kharkiv, the main efforts of the occupiers focus on preventing the advance of our troops towards the state border. The enemy carried out artillery shelling in the areas of Chepil, Cherkaska Lozova, Khrystyshche, Malynivka and Zolochiv.
Towards Sloviansk, the enemy fired artillery at the territory near Adamivka, Bohorodychne, Dolyna, Husarivka and Kurulka. Ukrainian units repelled the assault towards Pasika – Dolyna.
Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy crossed the Seversky Donets River trying to advance and seize Bilohorivka. To hinder our troops’ actions, the enemy fires at them. Artillery shelling was recorded near Bilohorivka and Hryhorivka.
Towards Lysychansk, the enemy carries out shelling with barrel artillery in the areas of Verkhnokamianka and Zolotarivka. There were assault actions towards Zolotarivka, seized by the enemy.
Towards Bakhmut, the invaders shelled Bakhmut, Klynove, Pokrovske and Soledar with artillery.
Offensive actions towards Nyrkove – Berestove were successfully repelled by Ukrainian soldiers. Also, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to conduct a reconnaissance battle near Vasylivka – Berestove. There were some assault actions towards Vovchoiarivka – Spirne and Mykolaivka – Spirne. The enemy suffered significant losses and withdrew.
Avdiivka, Kurakhiv, Novopavlovsky and Zaporizhzhia, Avdiivka, Charivne, Huliaipole, Novomikhailivka, Pisky and Vremivka were shelled to suppress the actions of our units. There were airstrikes near Avdiivka, Kamianka and Shevchenko.
In the South Buh direction, the enemy focuses its efforts on preventing the advance of the Defense Forces in the likely offensive directions. The measures are taken to provide logistics to enemy troops and improve engineering equipment of its positions.
The aggressor continues to launch missile strikes on military and civilian infrastructure towards Mykolaiv to reduce the offensive potential of our troops.
The ministry of Internal Affairs pledges that next year Ukrainians will be able to freely buy pistols. The law will be adopted during the summer-autumn period. After that, it will take some more time to launch the weapons registers. 70% of Ukrainians supported the permit for free possession of weapons and its wearing.
Israel lifted restrictions on entry into the country for citizens of Ukraine. The decision implies that citizens of Ukraine will be able to enter Israel for three months without the need to submit a special request for this. In March, Israel introduced electronic permits for Ukrainians and said that it would not accept refugees.
“The conference in Lugano could be the start of a large-scale restoration of Ukraine,” says President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The international event, which will begin on July 4 in the south of Switzerland, is dedicated to reconstruction of our country. Ukraine plans to present its post-war recovery plan.
Eastern regions
Kharkiv oblast
According to the General Staff, the enemy is trying to hold back the advance of Ukrainian troops towards the state border. The Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully repelled an assault by russian troops near Prudianka, Kharkiv oblast.
The invaders carried out airstrikes near Hrakove and Mospanove. They shelled Milove, Nortsivka, Peremoha, Protopopivka, Prudianka, Pytomnyk, Ruska Lozova, Verkhniy Saltiv, Volobuivka and Zamulivka villages. Referring to the General Staff evening report, the invaders shelled Chepil, Cherkaska Lozova, Khrestyshche, Malynivka and Zolochiv settlements.
According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Civil Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, 4 people were injured as a result of Russian shelling of Kharkiv city, Chuhuiv and Kharkiv districts overnight.
According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a private house and a school were damaged as a result of a missile attack on Novobavarskyy district. A crater 6 metres deep and 10 metres in diameter was formed at the spot of the strike. The windows in the house and nearby school building were broken. The 54-year-old homeowner was injured. She was hospitalised.
The invaders shelled the territory of an enterprise in Kyiv district. As a result of a strike, there is a crater and some buildings are destroyed. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties.
During the day, the invaders also shelled Bohodukhiv, Izium and Kharkiv districts. The enemy shelled Chuhuiv throughout the day: farm buildings and garages were on fire. There were 2 injured in Chuhuiv district and 1 in Kharkiv district.
Russian invaders shelled Derhachi and Vilkhivka communities on the day. According to preliminary information from the Regional Centre for Emergency Medical Care, 3 people were killed and 1 woman was injured.
According to the head of Derhachi community, Viacheslav Zadorenko, the invaders shelled Bezruky settlement. 3 people were killed and 1 was injured.
Donetsk oblast
The enemy shelled territories near Adamivka, Bohorodychne, Dolyna, Husarivka and Kurulka. Our troops repelled an enemy assault toward Pasika – Dolyna. The enemy also crossed the Siversky Donets River and is trying to advance and capture Bilohorivka.
At least 2 people were killed and 3 others, including 2 children, were injured as a result of the shelling of Dobropillia, Donetsk oblast.
At least 6 people were killed and 15 injured as a result of shelling in Sloviansk. 1 child is among the dead. Due to the russian troops’ shelling of Sloviansk with rocket-propelled artillery, public transport, water supply facilities and a residential sector were destroyed.
The russian troops launched two missile strikes using Smerch multiple-launch rocket systems against Kramatorsk: a hotel was destroyed and a road in a residential area was damaged. There is no information about casualties.
Luhansk oblast
The enemy shelled Verkhnokamianka and Zolotarivka with cannon artillery. As a result of the assault, the invaders took control of Zolotarivka settlement.
According to Serhiy Hayday, Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, russian troops continue attacking Lysychansk and try to gain a foothold in the city. Due to regular shelling, there are many fires and destruction in the city. Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianka were also shelled. The settlements are still burning, and what survived is being finished off by the enemy with artillery.
According to the General Staff, the Ukrainian troops withdrew from Lysychansk in the evening. The troops were withdrawn to save the lives of Ukrainian defenders. Our troops emphasize that they need proper weapons to effectively confront russia.
Northern regions
Kyiv oblast
The Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese visited Kyiv oblast. The delegation went to Bucha, Hostomel, and Irpin. This was the first-ever trip to Ukraine for the Australian official. He was shocked by what he saw: ruined civilian houses, mine traces, and the destroyed Antonov airport.
The Security Service has detained an agent group of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the russian Armed Forces that was collecting intelligence information on the defense of Kyiv. As a result of prompt action, four russian agents were detained. They were spying on AFU positions, geolocation of strategic facilities, as well as urging Ukrainians to support the invaders.
The State Emergency Service reports that 346 explosive objects have been cleared in Kyiv oblast. The inspection and disposal of explosive objects were carried out in the settlements of Bucha, Brovary, Vyshhorod, and Bila Tserkva regions.
Since the beginning of demining works, the State Emergency Service has inspected 17 826.13 hectares of territory, 1132 objects, 615.64 km of highways and 7 km of railways, 1080.84 km of power transmission lines, and 11.443 km of gas pipeline. 48 080 UXOs have been found and neutralized.
Ile-de-France region of France will offer a concept and project for restoration of Borodianka. The Chairman of the Council of the Paris region of France, Valérie Pécresse, shared this information with the journalists in Kyiv. Valérie sees Borodianka as a fundamentally new ecological city with all its systems powered by modern energy-saving technologies.
After being repaired, a steam locomotive began working at the Kyiv Children’s Railroad. It was built in 1951 in Babelsberg (Germany). It was taken to Kyiv after the Second World War. So far it is the only steam locomotive operating on the network of children’s railroads.
Tigress Dalila, rescued from a private eco-park in Kharkiv, has already fully adjusted to her new open-air cage. The private eco-park in Kharkiv was damaged as a result of enemy shelling. So the animals were evacuated to different regions of Ukraine. Tigress Dalila has been given shelter in Kyiv.
Zhytomyr oblast
A charity event “Vivat Lyceum 25!” was held in Zhytomyr. The lyceum was destroyed as a result of a russian missile strike. The educational institution had about 1,300 students enrolled and employed about 100 teachers. The funds raised at the event are planned to be used to pay scholarships to the best students of the Lyceum and support the educational process.
Sumy oblast
The enemy continues shelling Shostka region: three attacks from the territory of russia have been recorded. The Shalyhine and Esman communities were under mortar fire, informed Dmytro Zhyvytskyi, the head of Sumy Regional Military Administration. There were no casualties or damage.
In Okhtyrka region, due to the shelling from russia a fire broke out in an uninhabited private house in Luhivka village, the Velyka Pysarivka community. This was reported by the ‘Sumy’ operational and tactical group. There were no casualties as a result of the shelling. The fire was extinguished thanks to prompt actions of the State Emergencies Service.
Chernihiv oblast
The Ministry of Reintegration updated the current list of communities located in the areas of hostilities. It includes several territorial communities (TC) of Chernihiv oblast: Snovsk Town TC (Koriukivka region); Novhorod-Siverskyi and Semenivka Town TC (Novhorod-Siverskyi region); Gorodnya TC (Chernihiv region). According to the Ministry, all internally displaced persons from these communities will receive financial assistance from the state.
Central regions
Vinnytsia oblast
The Barsk territorial community in Vinnytsia region received a humanitarian cargo – anesthesia breathing apparatus for the hospital, food products, hygiene products and equipment from Lower Saxony.
In the center of Vinnytsia, a participatory performance “Headline” (“Zaholovok”)(2.0) about war, peaceful life and art was organized, timed to the 130th day of the full-scale invasion of russia.
98 doctors from the cities where hostilities are taking place got employed in Vinnytsia. Due to the fact that some doctors leave and others come, the number of employed people in Vinnytsia stays the same.
“Anti-russian” cheese has appeared in Vinnytsia stores.
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
The enemy again shelled Zelenodolsk community. 3 houses and 2 household buildings were destroyed. The sports complex was damaged. A 5-meter deep crater remained as a result of shelling.
The head of the Regional military administration Valentyn Reznichenko informed that an enemy drone was shot down in Synelnykiv district, Dnipropetrovsk oblast. It is the 10th enemy drone destroyed in the sky over the region.
In Dnipro, volunteers organized a charity photo project, the mandatory attribute were ‘vyshyvanky’ and flower crowns. To participate in the project, it was necessary to make a charitable contribution. Funds were collected for a mobile medical center for the front.
The bakery, which had to move twice from Donetsk region, now works in Dnipro. In 2014, the owners moved from occupied Horlivka to Toretsk, this year – from Toretsk to Dnipro. As volunteers, they provide baked goods in Toretsk.Currently there is no water, electricity and gas in the city.
In Kryvyi Rih, 38 leisure clubs for children have started operating. They are arranged in school and extra-curricular facilities. There is a shelter in case of air raid sirens.
Kirovohrad oblast
The headman of the village Viktor Kolinko reported in the village of Sozonivka, Kropyvnytskyi region, a minibus was handed over to the Ukrainian military, which will be used to transport the wounded and ammunition.
In Kropyvnytskyi, a charity event was held to support homeless animals. The head of the “Happy Dog” NGO said that volunteers sold eco-bags to raise funds for sterilization of cats and dogs.
In the village of Novoarkhangelsk, Golovaniv district, Kirovohrad oblast, the first wall painting appeared in the community. The picture shows a girl in an embroidered shirt and a wreath against the background of fields, the sky and a verse from the hymn of the Novoarchangelsk community.
Poltava oblast
In Poltava, volunteers continue to collect humanitarian aid for residents of Northern Saltivka in Kharkiv, heavily damaged by the enemy artillery shelling.
The harvest is being collected in communities in the south of Poltava oblast. The first 100 tons of food wheat have already been threshed.
Due to damage to the gas pipeline, 500 houses of the Velikobudyshchanska community were left without gas.
Cherkasy region
According to the Main Directorate of the National Police in Cherkasy Oblast, 30 people were detained for ignoring the curfew in Cherkasy Oblast.
Southern regions
Zaporizhzhia oblast
The situation is under control towards Zaporizhzhia. There are no considerable changes. The enemy continues to conduct static defense, prepares temporarily occupied settlements for circular defense, and creates strongholds on key road routes.
Tonight, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out more than 30 strikes on the russian military base in Melitopol. Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov reported about this. Thanks to resistance forces, a rashist armored train with ammunition derailed.
Zaporizhzhia RMA reported that over the past day the enemy shelled peaceful settlements 44 times. Kamianske, Lobkovo, Orihiv, Stepnohirsk and Yehorivka were affected the most. 22 buildings and infrastructure facilities were destroyed.
As a result of
by russian troops, the gas pipeline was damaged, and recently the gas supply to the Vasylivka district and the city of Melitopol has been completely halted. There is also no gas supply in Orikhiv. Currently, 109 settlements in the region are left without gas.
More than 21,000 consumers in 78 settlements of Zaporizhzhia Oblast are left without electricity due to damage to the lines.
995 people, including 230 children, were evacuated
In the temporarily occupied Berdiansk, russian military lifted the large amphibious assault ship “Saratov”, which sank after an attack by the Armed Forces on March 24. It will be sent for repair to the occupied Kerch.
The Estonian Council for the Rights of Refugees opened its representative office in Zaporizhzhia. The organization provides monetary assistance once or three months in a row, depending on people’s needs.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to the South Operational Command, the enemy intensified aerial reconnaissance in Mykolayiv Oblast, but all 3 aerial spies were destroyed by Ukrainian defenders.
Settlements of Bashtanskyi and Mykolaivskyi districts came under fire from enemy artillery. 4 people were injured as a result of shelling of Shevchenkivska, Berezneguvatska, Ingulska, Pervomaiska, Radsadivska and Galitsynivska communities.
As a result of hostilities, 5 fires broke out on the territory of Mykolaiv Oblast.
The Ukrainian military destroyed 2 ammunition warehouses near Chornobayivka and Snigurivka, and captured 4 trophy infantry fighting vehicles near Ivanivka.
50 children were evacuated from Kherson, Mariupol and Mykolaiv regions. The Mykolaiv Regional Council reported they are currently attending psychological rehabilitation classes.
Odesa oblast
There have been changes in the ship formation of the enemy fleet: there are currently 3 missile carriers equipped with 24 cruise missiles and 2 large amphibious ships in the sea. This is reported by the South Operational Command.
Russian Su-24 bombers made two bomb attacks on Zmiinyi (Snake) Island. An enemy Su-30 fighter jet struck the Bilgorod-Dnistrovskyi district. The rocket struck the utility building of the coastal recreation center.
A mobile point, which will inform people about safety rules and first aid, has started operating in Odesa. The event is being held by rescuers together with representatives of the Red Cross.
Kherson oblast
Fighting continues on the contact line, the South Operational Command reports. The enemy, constrained in the possibilities of maneuver on land, tries to push from the air. During the day, the russian aviation made 5 strikes on Kherson Oblast, trying to regain the lost position in the area of the liberated Ivanivka. 1 strike was carried out in the area of Myrnyi.
Ukrainian aviators launched 5 strikes by airplanes and helicopters on two ammunition warehouses and five centers of concentration of enemy forces in the areas of Piatykhatky, Visokopilllia, Dudchany, and Tsentralnyi. 29 occupiers were eliminated. A self-propelled howitzer “Msta-S”, 2 self-propelled large-caliber guns “Pion” and 6 units of armored vehicles were destroyed.
Ukrainian units repulsed the russians’ attack towards Ivanivka. The russian military retreated towards Olhine.
Khersonoblenergo denied the information about cooperation of its head of the board, Igor Safronov, with occupation authorities. According to the statement, in early April, he and the board of the Company left Kherson Oblast. And now the Company is managed remotely.
In Kherson, the russian military seized the dormitories of the Kherson State University and expelled the students and graduate students who lived there.
Western regions
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the security situation towards Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed significantly, but a strict ban was imposed on citizens visiting forests in the north of Volyn oblast. The border with belarus has been guarded. In case of provocations of the Armed Forces, the Territorial Defense and volunteer units are ready for decisive action.
According to western border guards, over 42K people left Ukraine during the day, approximately 25K of them crossed the border with Poland. Over 41K people returned to Ukraine during the same period.
Chernivtsi oblast
As a part of the joint humanitarian project “Union of Ukrainian Youth Romania”and the public organization “Institute of Democratization and Development” over the past two months, Bukovyna received 26 tons of aid (food and hygiene products) for displaced children.
A charity fair-auction Hot-ork with a concert program was held in Chernivtsi. All donations will be used to buy cars for the military
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
“Eyes of Peace” Charitable Foundation opens a new city free summer camp for children who were forced to leave their homes, for children of the armed forces, orphans, semi-orphans and children from low-income families.
Lviv oblast
183 people arrived by two evacuation trains in Lviv.
The police processed 1 668 complaints about suspicious people and objects.
4 620 enterprises, 4 284 individual entrepreneurs and 336 legal entities were registered in Lviv Oblast.
Mayor of Wroclaw, Jacek Sutryk, during his visit to Lviv, expressed his support for Ukrainians and noted that his city will participate in creating the national rehabilitation center “UNBROKEN” in Lviv. Wroclaw is a partner city of Lviv.
In Lviv, a competition was held between students Ivan Franko National University of Ukraine and Lviv Polytechnics, they competed for the Cup for weaving camouflage nets for defenders. It is a competition, but all students had one goal – to weave 6 large camouflage nets for the soldiers of the 92nd SMBr named the ottoman Ivan Sirk, defending Ukraine in the Kharkiv direction.
Rivne oblast
In Rivne, a charity race “With the police in heart” was held on the occasion of the seventh anniversary of the National Police. Funds collected from participants’ registration will be donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Rivne Regional Library, an exhibition of journalistic photography Life Press Photo 2022 under the name “Today’s world in the photos of photographers from 24 countries” was housed. The exhibition presents the works of participants from 25 countries of the world. The exhibition will open with awarding the winners of the 8th International competition. The Spanish photographer Arce Celestino with the photo “A Ukrainian soldier makes a patrol in the Gostomel airport” became the winner. However, the photojournalist was not able to come and receive the award, as he is in the zone of active hostilities.
Rivne and Ternopil basketball clubs took part in a friendly game in Rivne. The organizers will transfer all the money collected during the match to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Volyn
Volyn Territorial Defense built fortifications along the border with belarus and are ready for the decisive action in case of provocations.
The Polish city of Bialystok, the partner-city of Lutsk, sent 13 tons of humanitarian aid to Volyn: food, clothing, medicine.
Books by russian authors were removed from the shelves of school libraries in Lutsk. Ukrainian literature will be placed there and books of the agressor country’s books are planned to be recycled.
Zakarpattia oblast
Public organization “Ir-Run Club” with the support of Zakarpattia RMA and Uzhhorod City Council hosted a charity run in support of the Ukrainian military “I’m Ukrainian”. Almost 200 people took part. The locals were joined by participants from Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. During the event, over UAH 100K were collected. They will be donated for the needs of the Armed Forces.
International support
Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese came to Ukraine on a working visit. The delegation visited Bucha, Gostomel and Irpin.
Oscar-winning Hollywood actress Cate Blanchett supported Ukraine, appearing in a suit of the American brand Grayscale in the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The actress is an ambassador of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and has repeatedly spoken out in support of Ukraine. Her costume is planned to be sold at auction, and the funds will be directed to help Ukrainian families who suffered from russian aggression.
Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar met with the delegation of the Czech Republic headed by Minister of Defense Yana Chernokhova. During the meeting, they discussed the support for military personnel and citizens who lost their homes due to hostilities.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the Supreme Court of Israel obliged the country’s government to remove all additional restrictions on entry of Ukrainian citizens.
The International Solidarity Fund, financed by the European Union and the Bank of Regional Economy of the Republic of Poland, handed over 24 ambulances equipped with up-to-date equipment to Lviv oblast. The fund plans to send 10 million euros of humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
Prime Minister of Slovakia Eduard Heger says that his country is considering the possibility of supplying its MiG-29 aircraft and tanks to Ukraine.
The Strategic Communications Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that the US is considering offers from 800 American companies for production of weapons for Ukraine, notably air defense, anti-tank, anti-personnel, coastal defense and secure communication systems.
Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov announced that the US decided to provide the NASAMS air defense system to Ukraine.
