Russian invaders continue to carry out missile strikes on civilian objects on the territory of Ukraine. A powerful explosion occurred in Odesa oblast. A russian missile hit a 9-storey residential building and two more – in the recreation center in Belhorod-Dniester region. The missile strike killed 21 people, including a 12-year-old child. Saturday, July 2, is declared a day of mourning for the victims in Odesa oblast.

Towards Volyn, Polissia and Siversk no significant changes occurred. The enemy shelled Hremiach, Mikhalchyna Sloboda, Kolos in Chernihiv oblast; Atynske and Starykove in Sumy oblast.
In Sloboda region, the enemy shelled Bazaliivka, Chepil, Khrystyshche, Kharkiv, Pechenihy, Pytomnik, Prudianka, Rubizhne, Ruska Lozova and Zolochiv. The airstrike was carried out by a set of Ka-52 helicopters near Mospanove. The enemy continues aerial reconnaissance.
Towards Sloviansk, the enemy defends previously occupied positions, regroups, tries to improve its tactical position. There was artillery shelling near Asiivka, Bohorodychne, Dibrivne, Dolyna, Dovhenke, Hrushuvakha, Krasnopillia, Mazanivka, Mykilske and Sloviansk.
Towards Lysychansk and Bakhmut directions, the invaders shelled Bakhmut, Berestove, Klynove, Kodema, Kryva Luka, Loskutivka, Lysychansk, Maiaky, Niu York, Novoluhanske, Pereizne, Pokrovske, Privillia, Sidorove, Siversk, Travneve, Vovchoiarivka, Vershyna, Zaitseve, and Zolotarivka with barrel and rocket artillery. Enemy airstrikes were recorded near Klynove and Pokrovske.
Towards Avdiivka, Kurakhiv, Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, the enemy shelled Avdiivka, Chervone, Hirske, Huliaipole, Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, Novoselivka Druha, Novoandriivka, Novomikhailivka, Orikhiv, Pisky, Shevchenko, Staroukrainka, Tonenke, Vremivka, Vuhledar, Vodiane, Zaliznychne with artillery of various calibers and tanks.
Ukrainian soldiers successfully and skillfully repelled an enemy reconnaissance attempt towards the Lysychansk gelatin plant. The invaders withdrew.
In the South Buh direction, the enemy continued shelling in the areas of Blahodatne, Chervonyi Yar, Dobrianka, Kavkaz, Kalinivka, Kobzartsi, Mykolaivka, Myrne, Novohryhorivka, Oleksandrivka, Posad-Pokrovske, Potemkine, Partyzanske, Pervomaiske, Prybuzke, Shevchenkove, Shyroke, Stepove, Stepova Dolyna, Tavriia, and Velyka Artakove. In the Black Sea, two carriers of high-precision weapons are ready to be tasked with conducting missile strikes on objects on the territory of Ukraine.
In Mykolaiv oblast, an anti-aircraft missile unit of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the russian Forpost UAV worth $ 7 million.
Ukrainian aviation, rocket and artillery units continue to hit the enemy logistics centers, fuel supply points, clusters of military equipment and manpower.
The President of Ukraine stresses that Ukraine must quickly go from acquiring the status of a candidate to full membership. Today at the Verkhovna Rada sitting, the Head of State, the Prime Minister and the Speaker signed a joint statement on achieving full membership in the European Union.
Ukraine launches a new economic strategy “eRobota” on the Diia portal. From July 1, you can apply for a grant for your own business or study. This is announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. The grants will create tens of thousands of businesses and hundreds of thousands of jobs.
Ukrainian borsch was added to the UNESCO heritage list. This was reported in the Ministry of Culture. The element “Culture of Ukrainian borsch cooking” was included in the “List of intangible cultural heritage, which requires immediate protection”.
Eastern regions
Kharkiv oblast
According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, the terror of the population of Kharkiv and Kharkiv oblast by russian invaders continues.
The russians shelled Slobidskyy region, Kharkiv. At night, the invaders launched a missile strike from the direction of Belgorod on Industrialnyy district. Industrial buildings were damaged and rescuers extinguished the fire.
The enemy shelled settlements in Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Izium and Kharkiv districts during the day. Private houses, outbuildings and manufacturing facilities were damaged. Firefighters extinguished several fires.
In Kharkiv oblast, russian shelling killed 4 people in Chuhuiv and Izium regions during the day, while 5 people were injured. In the Izium region, 3 people were killed as a result of the shelling and 2 more suffered blast injuries. In the Chuhuiv district, 1 person was killed and 1 injured. 1 person was hospitalized in Kharkiv and one in Kharkiv district.
Active hostilities continue in Kharkiv oblast. In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy is defending occupied territories. The invaders are regrouping near Izium and trying to improve their tactical position to continue their offensive towards Sloviansk.

Donetsk oblast
The enemy intensified the warfare towards Kramatorsk.
The invaders notified about shelling in three districts of Donetsk: Kuybyshev, Lenin and Petrovskyy, as well as in Azot microdistrict
According to Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, 4 Donetsk residents were killed and 18 injured as a result of russian shelling in Avdiivka, Hostre, Krasnohorivka and Siversk.
A spontaneous protest by mothers against the forced conscription of their sons is held in Donetsk. The militants plan to use unprepared youths as cannon fodder for war.
In Mariupol the entire public transport infrastructure was destroyed, about 90 per cent is beyond repair. According to the Mariupol City Council, hundreds of millions of investments and up to three years of work are required to restore what it used to be.
Luhansk oblast
The Ukrainian Air Force conducted up to 10 air strikes toward Luhansk and deterred the Russian troops’ offensive on Lysychansk. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the strikes by Ukrainian pilots prevented the Russian invaders from advancing in several important directions and deterred an offensive on Lysychansk.
The Russian troops are shelling Ukrainian positions and trying to take control of the Bakhmut-Lysychansk highway, but they have no success.
So far, the evacuation from Lysychansk is impossible. The city’s housing fund and infrastructure are constantly on fire due to the Russian shelling. According to Serhiy Hayday, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, in his telegram channel, it is very difficult to extinguish fires in such conditions. He said that the Russians started mass looting of property in the occupied territories. He added that the Russian troops were removing equipment from the Rodina mine, Zolote.
According to the head of the Severodonetsk Regional Civil-Military Administration, Oleksandr Striuk, the russian troops in Severodonetsk are “hunting” people who support Ukraine, but most of them have evacuated. He added that by involving residents, russia is trying to replenish the troops of the so-called “LNR (Luhansk People’s Republic) army”, meanwhile people can leave the city towards the occupied settlements and then get to the free territory of Ukraine. According to Striuk, Severodonetsk’s infrastructure cannot be restored now and there is no regular food supply to the city.
Luhansk Territorial Defence received 10 new Bohdan buses.
Northern regions
Kyiv and Chernihiv oblasts will receive 1.1 million euros from France. The financial aid will be allocated for projects in the areas of education, temporary accommodation of people affected by the hostilities, construction and expert support.
Kyiv oblast
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, inspection, and disposal of explosive ordnance in liberated settlements and territories continues in Kyiv oblast.
Ambulances handled about 90K medical aid requests in Kyiv only during the full-scale russian invasion. Kyiv City State Administration reports that more than 500 emergency visits were made to the patients who had sustained mine blast or gunshot wounds.
The repair works of critical infrastructure continue in Kyiv oblast. Kyiv Oblast Psychoneurological Hospital No 2 (Vorzel town) plans to complete renovation by the end of July. According to Kyiv regional military administration, the works are carried out using funds allocated from the state budget reserve fund for prompt and priority liquidation of the consequences of military operations.
According to the military administration, the bridge near Demydiv village in Vyshhorod region will be renovated within three weeks. As of now, there is no proper transport communication between Vyshhorod, Dymer, and other communities. The bridge over the Irpin river was damaged back on June 29.
Ukrzaliznytsia announced the launch of another modernized electric train in Kyiv. Soon only electric trains like this one will be running to Kyiv Ring.
Manufacturing of military uniforms for women will be launched in Kyiv. The Arm Women Now project aims to provide every woman with a military uniform. More than 5OK women serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 3,500 of them are senior officers.
Children were taught mine safety awareness drills in Shevchenko Park in the capital. The event was organized by the members of Soloma Cats Charity Organization together with EOD specialists. State Emergency Service engineers were demonstrating armor protection and UXO and mine detection equipment, mock-ups of improvised explosive devices, and IEDs like tripwires.
Zhytomyr oblast
Since the beginning of the russian invasion, 95 missile and bomb strikes were launched on Zhytomyr oblast. 37 people were killed, 100 injured, and 22 saved. 1808 buildings were damaged, both infrastructure facilities and residential houses. The State Emergency Service reported the news and urged the locals to follow safety precautions.
The EOD specialists are planning to demine the territory around the village of Stari Vorobyi, Malyn community, for the next two weeks. 12.5 hectares are to be inspected. The majority of findings are cluster munitions that are highly dangerous for both sappers and civilians. The State Emergency Service of Zhytomyr oblast informs that mine clearance works are planned to be completed in the oblast in the third quarter of 2023.
In Zhytomyr, musicians of the Philharmonic Society collected 100 thousand hryvnias in support of the Ukrainian armed forces during the season of charity concerts. Since February 25, Philharmonic musicians do not perform in the concert hall. All concerts are held online.
Sumy oblast
The regional military administration reported that the enemy continues to shell Sumy oblast with mortars and small arms. 20 mortar shots were recorded on the territory of the Bilopollia community, 15 machine gun shots were fired in the Boyaro-Lezhachi village of the Nova Sloboda community. Due to the shelling, there were no casualties or damage. Border guards also recorded one shelling on the territory of the Esman community.
In the morning, the russians shelled the Esman territorial community of Sumy Oblast with mortars. Almost two dozen mines were launched from the russian territories.
The Sumy RMA reports that voluntary territorial formations of Sumy Oblast are equipped with modern and technological anti-tank weapons. The units of the VFTC were the first to meet the enemy troops on the territory of Chernihiv Oblast and, together with the military, halted them.
The Sumy RMA reports that the new academic year in Sumy Oblast is planned to start on time and in person. Schools located in the immediate risk zone (40 km from the fighting line) will not open. Students of destroyed educational institutions will be able to study remotely or in other educational institutions. The school is open given there is an equipped shelter designed for all participants of the educational process.
Chernihiv oblast
The enemy continues armed provocations in the bordering Chernihiv oblast. The ´North’ operational command recorded three shellings from the territory of the russian federation: near the settlements of Gremyach and Mikhalchicha Sloboda. There are no losses among personnel and equipment.
The SBGU reports that the aggressor fired at the Semenivka community 6 times. There were 4 border shelling of the Novgorod-Siversk community. The enemy fired artillery, mortars and machine guns. Several buildings and a power line were damaged.
Four educational institutions, notably 2 kindergartens and 2 schools, are being liquidated in the region. Educational facilities were badly destroyed due the airstrikes carried out by the russian military.
The Security Service detained a russian perpetrator collecting intelligence on the positions of the Armed Forces and geolocations of critical
infrastructure in Chernihiv oblast. The enemy planned to use this data for missile strikes and preparing sabotage on the territory of the de-occupied areas. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
A resident of Chernihiv oblast was also exposed, collecting information on the location of critical infrastructure facilities in the city of Semenivka, Chernihiv oblast. He is suspected of carrying out illegal intelligence activities for the benefit of the DPR terrorist organization.
Demining of the oblast`s territory continues. According to the Emergency Department of the Chernihiv oblast, underwater demining and pyrotechnic work teams were involved in the disposal of explosive ordnance (EO) 18 times. They discovered and removed 224 such items. A total of 31 008 EOs have been seized since the start of hostilities.
In the Chernihiv oblast, damaged infrastructure is being restored. In the village of Yahidne of the Ivanivka community, repair and construction works are ongoing. The volunteer battalion “Dobrobat” assists in conducting these works. The road service carries out restoration of highways on priority traffic directions.
Central regions
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
At night, russian troops shelled Nikopol district with anti-aircraft guns. Regional Military Administration informed that preliminarily there are no victims.
As a result of the shelling a big pit was created in the Nikopol district. Its diameter is 5 meters, depth is 2 meters.
A volunteer, suspected of selling bulletproof vests, was detained in Dnipro. These bulletproof vests were intended for soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and were sent to him as humanitarian aid from Poland.
Cherkasy oblast
Cherkasy territorial defence and the band “Flatcher” created a music video for the song written in the trenches. The premiere is scheduled for July 2.
Kirovohrad oblast
At 05:20, Ukrainian air defense shot down a russian missile, which later fell on the border of Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions. The head of the district military administration, Serhiy Sakovskyi, reported a strong explosion in the Pervomaysky district.
Since the beginning of the war, almost 153L displaced people have passed through the Kirovohrad region, 82 thousand stayed there.

To collect funds for a car for the military in Kropyvnytskyi, eight children set up a roadblock “Lastivka” (“Swallow”). Children stop drivers, ask to give a password and sell homemade jewelry. More than 17K hryvnias have been collected since the checkpoint was created.
Evgeny Zherdiy from Kropyvnytskyi started the “Creative Volunteers” initiative. Local musicians collect aid for the Ukrainian army. They have already collected 500K hryvnias.
19-year-old musician Maksym Kozyny takes part in charity events in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and organizes street concerts. During the charity concert, 8 thousand hryvnias were collected for rehabilitation equipment for the military. Currently, he is preparing the new initiative in support of Ukrainian fighters “Poetry and music without shelter”, which will take place in Kropyvnytskyi on July 10. 11-year-old Matvii Rozinko collected UAH 6,000 for body armor for a soldier playing the guitar in the city center.
11-year-old Larisa Kushnirova from Kropyvnytskyi collected 3 000 UAH weaving bracelets for sale. She donated this money to the “Planeta” charitable foundation. They were used to buy tactical masks for the military.
Poltava oblast
Since the beginning of the rescue operation in Kremenchuk, 28 body fragments have been found on the territory of Amstor shopping center, eight of which have been identified as parts of human bodies. A total of 19 people died and 62 were injured as a result of the rocket attack. 4 people are still missing.
The court sent three municipal workers from Kremenchuk who stole 60 smartphones from the rubble of the Amstor shopping center to the Poltava pre-trial detention center.
When the missile attacked the shopping center in Kremenchuk, all doors were open, said Roman Yemets, director of the company that owns the premises. According to him, the shopping center had signs for evacuation routes. In addition, all exit doors were opened and a safe place inside the mall was prepared.
The state laboratory confirmed good quality of the plate carriers made since March in the workshop of Elena Zaporozhan in Poltava.
Vinnytsia oblast
The activities of five pro-russian propagandists were stopped by the Security Service of Ukraine. Three women openly promoted pro-kremlin views and supported russia’s armed aggression. A 32-year-old resident of Zhmeryn region, originally from Luhansk oblast, turned out to be a supporter of “putin’s policy”. A 69-year-old supporter of “russian peace”, who is accused of publishing video materials about supporting the russian army actions and denying the fact of armed aggression, will also be brought to court.
The children’s brass band from Vinnytsia collected 45K hryvnias for the army and volunteer staff at charity concerts.
Humanitarian aid from the ZDOROVI agency was brought to Vinnytsia: 22 pallets of feminine hygiene products and 4 pallets of baby food were unloaded at the Regional Humanitarian Headquarters. More than 22K displaced people have already received food packages at the Vinnytsia City Charity Center
In Bohonyky near Vinnytsia, coaches of the regional children and youth sports shooting school conducted training for children. The children learned the basics of shooting with air weapons, loading a rifle, aiming and firing.
Southern regions
Zaporizhzhia oblast
The situation in the Zaporizhzhia direction has not changed significantly. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied positions. The enemy shelled the positions of Ukrainian defenders 33 times using tank gunnery, artillery, and MLRS along the entire contact line.
According to the Zaporizhzhia Main Regional Department of the National Police, the occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of Huliapole and Mala Tokmachka. There were 39 reports of destruction of civilian infrastructure as a result of shelling by russian occupation forces.
1 655 people, including 415 children, were evacuated from Zaporizhzhia Oblast during the day.
The Rescue Center has started working in Zaporizhzhia. It is the first center where people, who left the zone of active hostilities and temporarily occupied territories, can receive comprehensive assistance in one place.
Actors of the Zaporizhzhia Academic Puppet Theater have been performing for migrants for two months in a row. They visit rest homes and kindergartens with therapeutic performances.
Mykolaiv oblast
In the morning, Mykolaiv and its suburbs were attacked by 12 rockets. The enemy continues to destroy the port infrastructure and private enterprises. One of the enemy missiles was shot down by anti-aircraft defense forces. There was no information about the victims.
The russian unmanned aerial vehicle “Forpost” was destroyed by the Ukrainian troops in Mykolaiv Oblast.
6 475 civilian objects were damaged as a results of russian invasion.
The Mykolaivoblenergo workers came under fire. Russian troops fired at workers while they were repairing overhead power lines. Some people were wounded. The equipment was damaged.

At night, the russian military launched 3 airstrikes on Bilhorod-Dnister district from the Black Sea. The enemy hit an apartment building and a recreation center in the resort village of Serhiivka, the third rocket fell in a field out of the settlement. As a result of the attack, 21 people were killed, including 1 child. 39 residents were wounded and injured with various degrees of severity, including 6 children. 8 people were rescued from the rubble, including 3 children. In Odesa Oblast July 2 has been declared the Day of Mourning for those who died as a result of a russian missile strike in the village of Serhiivka of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky district.
According to the updated data, the Tor SAM, a boat, a radar station and an ammunition depot were destroyed as a result of Ukrainian missile and artillery strikes on Zmiinyi (Snake) Island. During the retreat, the russian military blew up a transport and charging vehicle to the Tor SAM, a Tornado-G multiple rocket launcher, and lost a helicopter.

Kherson Oblast
The situation in the operational zone in the southern direction is characterized by stable tensions and strong control of Ukrainian forces.
The enemy continues to fight, retreating to the reserve lines of defense. At the same time, they use the tactics of missile strikes, heavy artillery shelling and rocket-propelled grenade launchers on the newly liberated or deep rear areas.
The Ukrainian military launched an airstrike on two enemy ammunition depots.
In total, units of the defense forces performed more than 120 fire missions. The results of hits and enemy losses are clarified.
Ukrposhta stopped the activity of its branches in the temporarily occupied territories of the region starting from July 1. Work will resume after de-occupation.
The Kherson regional prosecutor’s office reported on suspicion of treason to the former employee of Main Regional Department of the National Policei in Kherson Oblast. According to the investigation, the former police officer voluntarily went to the “service” in the so-called “Main Department of the police in the Kherson Oblast” illegally created by the occupiers.
The occupying authorities of Kherson Oblast took away a restaurant from the owners. The restaurant was involved in volunteering.

190 displaced persons arrived by two evacuation trains in Lviv.

The activities of the UOC of the moscow patriarchate and the religious group “Dognalites”, which were active in the past, are prohibited in Lviv. The corresponding decision was adopted at the closed meeting of the Lviv City Council.

In Rivne oblast, the rolling stock and all the property of the Polish tram, better known as “Kukushka”, are being urgently removed. This is done in case of shelling, a military threat, to preserve rolling stock. Rolling stock and depot property are taken to Berehove in Zakarpattia.
Ternopil oblast
The military evacuated embroidered icons and church items from Lysychansk to the Ternopil Archcathedral. The shrines were taken out under fire.
Military medic, Chief Sergeant Anatolii Volodymyrovych Vyun from Ternopil Oblast, for selfless service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the 3rd degree.
Volyn
The Regional State Administration reported that in Volyn, establishments that respond safely to air alarms and continue to work during them will be closed.
Thanks to the fruitful cooperation of the Volyn Regional Council, the public organization “Insulin” and the charitable organization “National Development Fund”, insulin was delivered to Volyn from Germany.
Zakarpattia oblast

One of French regions, Ile-de-France, will help in the reconstruction of the cities of Kyiv oblast destroyed by the russian invaders. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and head of the regional council Valery Pekress talked about this during a meeting in Kyiv. During the visit, specific projects that the parties will develop will be determined.
