It has been the 167th day of Ukraine’s resistance to russian military aggression.

Here is operational information on the Russian invasion as of 6pm:

Towards Volyn, Polissia and Siversk, the situation has not changed. Towards Siversk, the enemy fired barreled and rocket artillery near Mykolaivka, Chernihiv oblast, and the settlements of Katerynivka, Seredyna-Buda and Mezenivka in Sumy oblast.

The enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs in the area Hai in Chernihiv oblast, and Shalyhine, Sumy oblast to clarify the position of units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

Towards Kharkiv, the occupiers fired Chepil, Petrivka, Pechenihy, Prudianka, Pytomnyk, Ridne, Ruska Lozova, Slatyne, Slobozhanske, Sosnivka, from tanks, barrels and rocket artillery. An airstrike was launched near Verkhniy Saltiv.

Towards Donetsk, the enemy, supported by aviation, is trying to conduct assault operations towards Bakhmut and Avdiivka. It continues regular shelling of positions along the contact line to thwart the actions of our units and prevent their re-deployment. 

Towards Kramatorsk, shelling was recorded near Maiaky, Hryhorivka, Pyskunivka, Verkhniokamianske, Platonivka and Serebrianka, as well as an airstrike near Hryhorivka.

Towards Bakhmut, the occupiers used artillery and tanks to attack the settlements of Bakhmut, Bilohorivka, Kodema, Konstantynivka, Maiorsk, Pokrovske, Soledar, Toretsk, Yakovlivka and Zaitseve. They launched airstrikes near Bakhmut, Dacha, Spirne, Vershyna, Vesela Dolyna, Yakovlivka, Zaitseve.

The enemy went on the assault in the area of Spirne. They were subject to dagger strikes by our military and randomly retreated.

In proximity to Ivano-Darivka, Soledar, Vesele, and Yakovlivka, the occupiers tried to use reconnaissance groups. After a fire defeat from our defenders, the invaders quickly changed their plans and fled. Enemy losses are being clarified.

Also, the enemy tried to conduct combat reconnaissance in the areas of Pidhorodne and Bakhmut where they failed and withdrew.

To gain a foothold, the enemy led an offensive in the directions of Bakhmut, Yakovlivka and Zaitseve, failed, and withdrew with losses. The enemy was partially successful towards Vershina.

Towards Avdiivka, the occupier shelled Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Nevelske, Netailove,  Novobakhmutivka and Pisky. Airstrikes were carried out near Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, and Novoselivka.

The enemy conducted offensive battles near Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka and Pisky to gain a foothold, but failed.

Towards Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia, shelling from tanks and artillery of various types was recorded near Novoselka, Novomaiorske, Orikhiv, Pavlivka, Shcherbaky, Stepnohirsk, Velyka Novoselka and Vuhledar, .

The enemy used aircraft near Novoselka,  Pavlivka, Shcherbaky, Velyka Novoselka, and Vuhledar.

Towards the South Buh, the enemy focuses its main efforts on keeping the occupied positions. Enemy combat aviation intensified its activity.

In the areas of the city of Mykolaiv, as well as the settlements of Bila Krynytsya, Dobryanka, Knyazivka, Kyselivka, Lymany, Myrne, Nikopol,  Stepova Dolyna, Shevchenkove, Shyroke, Zelenyi Hai, the occupiers conducted shelling from tanks, barreled and rocket artillery in the city districts. They also launched airstrikes near Andriivka, Bila Krynytsya, Osokorivka and Olhyne. The enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance with UAVs near Bilohirka, Kobzartsi, Mykolaiivka,  Murakhivka, Novooleksandrivka, and Shevchenkove. 

In the Black Sea, two carriers of sea-based cruise Kalibr missiles are in combat readiness to use high-precision weapons.

Ukrainian units firmly and confidently hold the defense and continue successful implementation of certain fire tasks.

 


It is reported that in Novofedorivka in the temporarily occupied Crimea, an airfield is burning. It was from there that russian aircraft took off and fired missiles at Ukraine. 

However, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine cannot establish the cause for the airfield fire and suggests that the fact of “detonation” may be used by the Russian Federation in the information war. They suppose that the invaders might “accidentally” find a “chevron”, a “business card” or even “DNA” to deceive people. 

On Instagram, the page of the Association of the Family of Defenders of Azovstal was blocked. It is assumed that this may be due to unusual activity or complaints.

Fedorov and his team have sent a letter to Meta requesting to unblock that page, the one of the Association chairman and 5 other pages related to Azov’s activities. Now they are all blocked. We remember our heroes and do our best for their liberation. 

Podolyak reported on the situation on the battlefield. 

The daily toll of Ukrainians at the front is about 30-50 people. This is 2.5-3 times less than in June. Podolyak explains this by the fact that our MLRS are targeting  logistics centres of the russian invaders very effectively. Another reason is redeployment of the russian army along the entire front line. Our defenders continue their efficient combat operations.


Eastern regions

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff, active hostilities continue on the contact line. The enemy is shelling Ukrainian positions with cannon and rocket artillery and tanks and is using aviation. Ukrainian troops confidently hold their positions and conduct counterattacks. The invaders are trying to expose the defence system of the Ukrainian troops. Another airstrike was launched near Verkhniy Saltiv, the Vovchansk community. At least 10 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were shelled.

Head of the Kharkiv Regional Civil Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, informs that over the past 24 hours, the invaders shelled settlements in Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Kharkiv, Lozova and Izium districts.

In the Bohodukhiv district, a field of wheat was burning due to shelling. Farmers extinguished the fire which destroyed 3 hectares of harvest, by themselves. In the Chuhuiv district, a warehouse with seeds was destroyed.

According to the Regional Centre for Emergency Medical Care, 1 person was killed and 5 civilians injured during the day in Kharkiv oblast as a result of the invaders’ shelling.

Four people were hospitalised in the region: a 71-year-old woman in the Chuhuiv district, a 72-year-old and 45-year-old men in the Derhachi community. A 59-year-old man in Kutuzivka was injured. The condition of two other patients is critical.

Police of Kharkiv oblast reports that over the past 24 hours, they recorded 15 incidents of property damage as a result of russian shelling. Some houses, a farm, a factory, warehouses and garages were damaged. During the day, rescuers extinguished 4 fires that occurred after the shelling.

As of today, damaged critical infrastructure and housing in Kharkiv oblast includes 10,297 objects.

Once again, 809 citizens, including 243 children, were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territories of Kharkiv oblast.

Kharkiv Mayor, Ihor Terekhov, says that the enemy struck the city. The hit was recorded in an open area in the Industrial district, and elements of transport and critical infrastructure were damaged. There were no casualties.

In Kholodna Hora, the invaders damaged a hotel and a restaurant. The missile strike also damaged a private medical laboratory. There were no casualties. The shelling caused a crater in the courtyard and damaged windows and expensive equipment in the laboratory.

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that the invaders led an offensive toward Bakhmut, Yakovlivka and Zaytseve, but suffered losses and withdrew. The invaders stormed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Spirne, but “retreated chaotically”. The enemy conducted offensive battles near Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka and Pisky, but had no success. At the same time, russians had partial success in Vershyna, Donetsk oblast.

Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, says that over the past 24 hours, russian shelling killed three residents of Donetsk oblast. Another 19 people were injured. Mandatory evacuation from Donetsk oblast continues.

Mariupol Mayor’s Councillor, Petro Andriushchenko, informs that the third wave of hidden mobilization started in Mariupol.

Luhansk oblast

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reports that due to forced mobilization, underground mines in Luhansk oblast are on the verge of shutdown. These include Dovzhansk (Sverdlovsk), Rovenky, Sorokyne (Krasnodon). The enemy is using all possible weapons to force the Armed Forces of Ukraine to concentrate their main efforts here and prevent manoeuvres.

Only over the past 24 hours, our troops repelled 10 enemy attempts to storm cities and villages on the border of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts. Near eight settlements, the invader’s aviation attempted to operate. In addition, russians launched missile strikes, made two attempts of tank attacks, and hit settlements with mortars.

The occupation authorities are trying to create a picture of “restoring life” and brigades are being formed in the city to clean the streets, offering foodstuffs as payment.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Haidai, reports that in Sievierodonetsk, there is no electricity and water and the sewage system is not working as there are no specialists of the required level in the city to restore communications. Shop networks are destroyed and food for sale is brought in from other localities. When russian television arrives in Sievierodonetsk, they distribute food sets among the residents. Almost all the people, who tried to return to the city, left again.

Northern regions

Kyiv oblast

A total of 458 bodies were found in Bucha after the russian terrorist army fled Kyiv oblast. Among them 12 were children, and in 5 bodies the sex was not identified due to the damage. According to forensic analysis, 419 people were killed, and the death cause of others is being investigated.

Local authorities in Bucha buried 15 people whose bodies could not be identified. Number plaques will be placed on all the graves, so that the deceased can be found by their relatives. On request and with the permission of investigators, family members will also be able to have the bodies reburied.

Educational institutions in Kyiv oblast are still being prepared for the new academic year. The main goal is to ensure the safety of students and staff. At present, the state of all the shelters has been checked, and 1,016 have been approved for usage.

A resident of Kyiv oblast was found guilty of high treason and sentenced to 15 years in prison. The man provided the russian military with information about the location of Ukrainian checkpoints, helped the enemy navigate the area, and reported on local residents who worked for law enforcement agencies or the AFU.

Zhytomyr oblast

A meeting with heads of law enforcement agencies of the oblast was held at the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration. During this meeting, they discussed cooperation, policing and protection of citizens’ rights under the war conditions. As of now, there have been 165 cases of criminal offences committed by the russian army in the oblast, including destruction of social infrastructure in private neighbourhoods in Malyn, Korosten and Ovruch by missile strikes.

Rapid reconstruction is being conducted in the de-occupied territories. According to the Ukrainian Presidential Office, a total of 2,828 facilities in Zhytomyr oblast have been damaged as a result of russia’s armed aggression. Among them, 213 were completely destroyed.

Representatives of the Azerbaijani community in Zhytomyr handed over a Toyota car to AFU soldiers. Volunteers also loaded the car with food and necessary supplies. The gift will be delivered to the 43rd Battalion in Bakhmut.

More than 4,200 couples have married in Zhytomyr oblast since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion. Many of the brides and grooms were our defenders. Most newlyweds decide not to throw big celebrations, and donate the money gifted as a wedding present to support the army.

Sumy oblast

The enemy opened fire on Myropillia, Seredina-Buda, Khotyn, Krasnopillia, Shalyhine, Hlukhiv, Esman and Velika Pysarivka communities. The Sumy RMA reported that more than 130 explosions were recorded. The occupiers used rocket artillery, mortars and small arms. A resident of the village of Katerynivka died from a shrapnel wound in the neck due the shelling of the Shalyhine community.

The SBGS reported that the army of the russian federation fired large-caliber weapons on the outskirts of one of the villages of the Shostka district. Border guards recorded three dozen explosions.

Artillery shells, mortar mines, hand grenades and explosives were discovered by pyrotechnicians of Sumy oblast. According to the State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast, a total of 15 explosive items were seized during the day. Dangerous finds were discovered in Sumy, Konotop and Okhtyrka districts.

The first graduation of new rescue service specialists took place. 21 graduates of the educational institution joined the ranks of the State Emergency Service in Sumy oblast.

Fires at the Trostianets chocolate factory, caused by enemy actions, inflicted damage of more than 10.5 million hryvnias. Calculations of losses caused by atmospheric air pollution were carried out by specialists of the State Environmental Inspection of the oblast. During the temporary russian occupation of the city of Trostianets, a fire at the local chocolate factory had been raging for more than a day.

The charity concert Everything will be Ukraine in the village of Kamin in the Krolevets district raised almost UAH 20K for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The youngest residents of the Kamin community and performers of the Cultural Center of the Krolevets City Council participated in the concert.

Residents of Sumy and guests of the city are invited to charity excursions to the botanical garden, zoological and geological museums. Everyone can leave funds for the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or development of museums.

Chernihiv oblast

The SBGS reported that the enemy shelled the Semenivka community twice, using mortars and rocket launchers. 20 explosions were recorded.

A cache of weapons belonging to the occupiers was discovered near the border with Belarus. Border guards of Chernihiv oblast found more than two thousand cartridges of various calibers, anti-tank grenades, an underbarrel grenade launcher and anti-tank mines with detonators. Ammunition suitable for use will be transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces.

Parents will choose the form of instruction in Chernihiv schools. As reported in the Department of Education of the Chernihiv City Council, a survey is currently being conducted, after which classes with face-to-face and distance learning forms will be formed separately. Full-time education will involve the study of only basic subjects at school to prevent a large concentration of children in educational institutions.

The regional military administration reports that the Chernihiv Central District Hospital is being restored with state funds. After the russian missile and bomb attacks, only two departments remained intact. Other hospitals, schools, and kindergartens are also being renovated with funding from the reserve fund.

Chernihiv received $500K from the people of Taiwan. As reported in the city council, the funds will be directed to the restoration of the city’s damaged infrastructure. Part of the funds will be used to provide material assistance to residents of Chernihiv, owners of damaged and destroyed private residential buildings.

Central regions

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

As a result of the shelling of Velyka Kostromka, residential buildings were partially destroyed, a lyceum building and a gas pipeline were damaged, leaving about 300 settlements without gas supply. According to Head of the Dnipro city council Mykola Lukashuk, the occupiers also shelled the border territories of the Apostolove and Shyroke communities with rocket launchers.

At night, the occupiers shelled Nikopol and Synelnykove districts. About 120 missiles were fired at Nikopol. One injured person was hospitalized. Facilities of three enterprises also came under enemy fire. The transformer was destroyed, workshops, machinery and administrative buildings were damaged. Two residential buildings were also damaged. Debris from Grad missiles was found at the site of the shelling.

Russian hostile troops struck the Velykomykhailivka community of the Synelnykove district. The head of the Dnipro Regional Council, Mykola Lukashuk, reported that the windows in the apartment building were broken. There were no casualties.

In Dnipro, unknown persons reported detonation of the Dnipro City Council and the Most-City shopping center. In both cases, people were evacuated, both buildings were searched, and no explosive or suspicious objects were found.

Due to the shelling of the Synelnykove district, farmers cannot harvest grain crops from an area of ​​300 hectares. This was reported by Head of the district military administration Svitlana Nazarchuk. At the same time, 70% of the winter crop harvest, which is 530,000 tonnes of grains, has already been collected.

11 hospitals from Kharkiv and Luhansk oblasts have moved to Dnipropetrovsk oblast, Valentyn Reznichenko reports. More than 100 pieces of equipment and 10 “emergency” units were transported together with medical facilities. The region also sheltered 4 higher educational institutions, 7 colleges and 69 enterprises from Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions.

In Dnipro, a soldier from the Air Command “East” Valentyn Butkevich wrote a song about the war. It is dedicated to Air Force Day. This is his second song about war.

A 3-week training in labor professions for IDPs funded by the UN has started at vocational schools of Dnipro. The participants  will receive certificates of partial qualification and they will be employed in Dnipro. In total, 76 people were selected under this program.

Vinnytsia oblast

The Cabinet of Ministers directed more than UAH 2 million for compensation for people who sheltered the IDPs in Vinnytsia oblast. The order is published on the Government portal.

The Vinnytsia City Council held a meeting of the operational headquarters as for preparation for the heating season. According to the managers of critical infrastructure enterprises, all scheduled works will be completed before the start of the heating season. Currently, there is a need for 250 generators of various capacities for a stable supply of heat and water. Communal enterprises will receive financial support from the community budget.

16 entrepreneurs from Vinnytsia received grants at the all-Ukrainian competition of business ideas of the charitable foundation MHP — Communities, reported the top manager of the MHP Pavlo Moroz.

Vinnytsia judges transferred UAH 12 million to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported the Seventh Administrative Court of Appeal. From the first days of the russian armed aggression, judges decided to transfer 50% of their salary to the Armed Forces funds monthly.

Volunteers of the Medina Charitable Foundation, located in Hnivan, Vinnytsia oblast, collect clothes, personal hygiene products and goodies for Ukrainian soldiers. According to volunteer Svitlana Borysova, the humanitarian cargo will be taken to the military in a Kharkiv hospital.

The Tulchyn community received 920 sets of food for internally displaced persons from the World Central Kitchen International Organization, the Tulchyn City Council reported.

The Kharkiv enterprise STALEKS, which is relocated to Vinnytsia, employed more than 180 people. Currently, the company manufactures manicure scissors, pushers, spatulas, eyelash tweezers and pedicure graters.

Kirovohrad oblast

Head of the Kirovohrad RMA, Andrii Raikovych, says that it is planned to install shelter stops in Kirovohrad oblast, similar to those in Kharkiv. 

The Oleksandriia Hospital received medicines, medical solutions and surgical instruments from the international humanitarian organization Doctors without Borders. According to Director of the hospital Viktor Prykhodko, the number of patients has doubled since the launch of russia’s invasion of Ukraine, mostly due to the IDPs.

In the Kropyvnytskyi Museum of Art, a virtual photo exhibition Cats and War was shown as part of the project Ukraine. Spring, 2022. It was timed to the International Cat Day, Curator of the project Iryna Lyagul explained. In Kropyvnytskyi, a virtual memorial to the fallen defenders Glory to Heroes was created. The initiator of the project is the city education department.The head of the department, Larysa Kostenko, said that everyone who has information about the dead compatriots can contribute to filling the site.

In Kropyvnytskyi, 50K UAH were collected during the United for Victory charity bike ride. The action is part of the all-Ukrainian marathon initiated by the State Highway Agency of Ukraine, said the co-organizer of the event, Zhanna Petrovych. The money was collected by the “Come Back Alive” Charity Foundation.

73% of Kirovohrad oblast parents chose distance learning for their children in a survey initiated by the educational ombudsman Serhii Horbachov.

On August 10, an assistance center for migrants from Luhansk oblast will be opened in Kropyvnytskyi. Head of the Shchastia district military administration in Luhansk oblast, Head of the centre Tetiana Novikova, explained that the IDPs will be able to receive consultations and legal support, and register for receiving humanitarian aid there.

During a charity photo project in Kropyvnytskyi, almost UAH 12 K  were collected for the needs of the Ukrainian military. Co-organizer of the project, Oleksandr Leshchenko, said that they did it in seven filmings, in which three dozen townspeople took part. 13 photographers joined the project.

Residents of the Novhorodka community of Kirovohrad oblast collected money and bought a quadcopter for the unit of the Ukrainian army, in which a fighter from the village of Kutsivka serves. Co-organizer of the fundraising, a resident of Kutsivka, Oksana Vasenko, told about it.

Poltava oblast

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has fired 56 missiles at Poltava oblast, the Poltava Regional State Administration reports.

Out of more than half a thousand secondary education institutions in Poltava oblast, 330 have shelters. According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of the regional military administration, more than half are ready for offline education. Arrangements are ongoing in other institutions.

In the Poltava community, 93% of children do not attend kindergartens because of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the city council reports. Until February 24, 11K children attended preschools, now – only about 700.

Cherkasy oblast

In a free of charge school for young volunteers in Cherkasy, children were taught to help people, collect money for charity and work in social networks. According to Inna Bandura, the organizer of the event, 12 schoolchildren are taking part in the project, most of them are from Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

In the Uman district, fragments of the Kalibr missile fell into a room with an area of ​​300 square metres and actually destroyed it. According to Head of the Cherkasy RMA Ihor Taburets, one of those injured died in the hospital, the other is currently in a stable condition.

Southern regions

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The region is under regular enemy fire. The main efforts of the enemy are focused on holding the occupied positions, shelling the positions of the Ukrainian defenders, using all types of weapons along the entire contact line. Head of the RMA Oleksandr Starukh says that the hottest direction is the border of Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.

As a result of regular shelling, the problem with safety of the Zaporizhzhia NPP operation became more acute. Currently, the nuclear plant block itself is well protected, but Ukraine cannot guarantee safety due to the presence of armed russian terrorists there and the impossibility of predicting their intentions. According to Head of the RMA, Oleksandr Starukh, so far the radiation background is at the permissible level. The enemy has placed artillery on the territory of the ZNPP to strike our positions.

The occupiers fired at civilian infrastructure in the area of ​​Kamianske, Novoyakovlivka, Orihiv, as reported the GUNP of the Zaporizhzhya oblast. 12 reports were received about the destruction of civil infrastructure objects as a result of enemy shelling. In the temporarily occupied territories, pressure continues to be exerted on the population in order to legitimize the occupying power of the terrorist country.

During the day, 1,410 people were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory, 397 of them were children.

Due to damage to power supply lines, poles and equipment, 18,368 consumers in 71 settlements of Zaporizhzhia oblast remain without electricity.

Today, 226,990 consumers in 270 settlements remain without gas supply in the region.

Water supply networks, artesian wells and other structures were damaged as a result of the shelling of the city of Orihiv and nearby rural settlements of the Polohy district. Also, as a result of the hostilities, sewage treatment facilities that receive sewage from the city of Vasylivka and the village of Stepnohirsk of the Vasyliv district were damaged.

The security service established the identities of all traitors who joined the so-called “Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Zaporozhzhia Oblast”. Seventeen of them have already been declared suspicious.

The communities of Novoaleksandrivska, Tavriyska, Gulyaipilska, Orihivska, Preobrazhenska and Kushugumska received construction materials, which were handed over by the International Committee of the Red Cross the day before.

Mykolaiv oblast

The “South” Operational Command reported that an assault aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a cluster of enemy manpower, weapons and equipment near Snihurivka. 

In the morning, the enemy shelled the outskirts of Mykolaiv. There were no victims.

The settlements of the Halytsyniv community are under constant enemy fire. The regional military administration reported that in the morning, russian troops shelled the village of Lymany, mainly on its outskirts.

The shelling of the territory and nearby settlements of the Bereznehuvate community of the Bashtanka district continues. Residential buildings were damaged. Information on the casualties and damage is being clarified.

During the full-scale war, Mykolaiv was not bombed for only 21 days. The most missiles  – 38 overnight – were fired last week, said Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych.

Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmytro Marchenko called the results of closing and checking the city during the extended curfew “very successful” – about 400 people were detained. Not only collaborators, but also other offenders were found. According to Head of the Mykolayiv RMA Vitalii Kim, similar measures will be held in the city in the future.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 1,481 people have suffered from shelling by Russian troops in Mykolayiv oblast. The Mykolaiv RMA reports 408 people killed, including 10 children. 

Call Center 1588 in Mykolaiv received 10 modern monoblocks to improve coordination with volunteer headquarters and expand capabilities of processing requests for help. This was reported in the Mykolaiv City Council. The equipment was purchased by international partners. In the conditions of war, the call center handles up to three thousand calls every day.

Voluntary evacuation of citizens continues in Mykolaiv. On August 9, 118 residents of the city were evacuated to Germany, Austria and Moldova. Transportation was carried out by the Be an Angel Foundation (Chisinau, Moldova). This was reported in the city council.

Mykolaiv craftswoman Polina Andriievska made 7 miniature copies of a dog named Patron. 6 of them have already been sent to Canada, Israel and Poland. The philanthropist craftswoman sent the money raised (over UAH 10,000) to the Prytula Foundation and Mykolaiv volunteers

Odesa oblast

 

Another 70,000 tons of food went from the port of Chornomorsk through the grain corridor. This was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine. The RAHMI YAGGI vessel will deliver 5.3 thousand tons of food to Turkey, and the panamax bulker OCEAN LION will deliver almost 65 thousand tons of corn to South Korea.

In the south of Odesa, an anchor mine, torn from its anchorage, was carried to the coast by the sea, as reported in the ‘South’ Operational Command. Thanks to the timely response and the absence of vacationers on the coast, no one was injured. The danger was eliminated by controlled detonation by the Defense Forces.

Odesa oblast was one of the first regions to create Portal to help internally displaced persons, as reported by the regional military administration. This initiative provides for the possibility of comprehensive collection and convenient search of information.

In Odesa, police officers and children made bracelets for defenders of Ukraine. A master class on weaving patriotic bracelets was arranged for children from Mariupol by the Odesa Regional Police Department.

The Krasnopillia community of Odesa oblast was able to bring back a bright summer to children in wartime conditions. In the summer club Smile – Camp, students rested according to the creative calendar of events, which included classes on democracy, physical development, creativity, safety and psychological support. The community was among thirty winning communities that created summer children’s clubs within the DECIDE Summer Clubs campaign: “We are at home – in Ukraine.”

Kherson oblast

The enemy is conducting a defensive operation towards the Southern Buh. Enemy aviation has been intensified. In order to thwart our troops, they carried out artillery strikes along the contact line. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the enemy carried out airstrikes near Bila Krynytsia, Andriivka, Osokorivka, and Olhyne.

The “South” Operational Command reports the losses of the enemy in the south of the country: 23 rashists, an anti-aircraft missile-gun complex “Pantsir-S1”, a T-72 tank, a self-propelled howitzer “Msta-S”, 5 vehicles, including armored ones.

The situation in Kherson oblast is steadily tense. Active hostilities continue. Many villages near the front line suffer from constant shelling.

The National Police of Ukraine reported that over the past 24 hours, 24 criminal proceedings were opened regarding the war crimes committed by the russian invaders, including shelling of populated areas, abduction of people, destruction of crops, collaborative activities.

Russian terrorists attacked residential quarters of the civil villages of Tokareve, Ivanivka, Knyazivka, Olhyne, Osokorivka, Lyubimivka, Novovorontsovka and Arkhanhelske. Grad MLRSs and artillery units destroyed private houses. There are dead and wounded.

15 hectares of wheat crops were burned near the village of Tamaryne in the Beryslav district due hostilities and artillery shelling.

A hangar for grain storage on the territory of the elevator caught fire due to an artillery strike in the village of Brylivka of the Oleshkiv community.

In Kherson, the occupiers seized a network of gas stations.

The russian military stole 22 tonnes of mineral fertilizers worth over UAH 500K from the port in Kherson.

In Kherson and Oleshki, russian servicemen captured two local residents, their whereabouts are currently unknown.

Near the city of Oleshka, armed russian soldiers seized a base of green tourism. Occupiers are illegally staying on the territory of the recreation center and stealing the property located there.

In Ivanivka and Vysokopillia, russian servicemen stole the cars of local residents and robbed some houses, taking away all household appliances.

The “South” Operational Command reports that the occupation authorities continue to collect personal information and passport data of local residents in preparation for the pseudo-referendum in Kherson oblast.

As a result of the recent strikes of the Armed Forces on the Antonivsky and Kakhovka bridges, the occupiers began to panic. As reported in the Kherson RMA, due to these events, mass deportation of the families of russian military personnel who lived in Kherson began.

Occupiers are trying to create a picture of the beginning of the school year in the occupied educational institutions of Kherson oblast. They switched from terror tactics to bribery. Parents who agree to send their children to occupied schools are offered UAH 4K per month.

The occupiers took over the editorial office and started publishing their own version of the local Maiak newspaper. This was reported by Kakhivka journalist Oleh Baturin. Previously, the magazine was published in Ukrainian and advocated statist positions.

Western regions

Volyn

Representatives of the Lutsk City Council checked the state of shelters in schools and kindergartens of the city’s territorial community. As Mayor Ihor Polishchuk reports, about UAH 2 million have been allocated for the arrangement of shelters in educational institutions of the Lutsk community. Work in shelters should be completed by August 20.

The Volyn regional council reported that cars, military ammunition and equipment were transferred from Volyn to Kherson oblast for the Armed Forces.

The Kamin-Kashir RSA reported that Ruslan Kuzmych, a defender from Volyn, was posthumously awarded with the III degree Order “For Courage”.

Zakarpattia oblast

In Zakarpattia, a targeted regional program will be developed to support the Ukrainian language . This was discussed at the meeting of Head of the RMA, Viktor Mykyta, and Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language, Taras Kremen.

The Uzhhorod City Council held a meeting with representatives of public organizations. They discussed coordination and communication of the City Council, public organizations and volunteers for effective assistance to displaced persons.

A round table Economy in Conditions of War: Challenges and Opportunities was held in the Zakarpattia RMA with representatives of the government, business and scientists.

A charity exhibition and sale of paintings The Art of Victory was opened in the regional center of Zakarpattia. About 200 paintings by famous artists were presented at the exhibition. According to Head of the RMA, Viktor Mykyta, the funds received will be sent to Ukrainian defenders and the Science Museum in Uzhhorod.

In Uzhhorod, within the framework of the Together Camp project, the NGO Cultural Platform of Zakarpattia with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine launched an educational program for children. This project will help children learn new skills through music, video and acting.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

An online meeting with humanitarian partners of Prykarpattia was held in the Ivano-Frankivsk RMA. 26 international donors work in the region, in particular, OCHA Ukraine, the Swiss Red Cross, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Metalab, UNOPS, Carpathian NEEKA, TERRE DES HOMMES and others.

In Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, 61 persons were granted the status of a family member of the deceased Defender of Ukraine.

Annual scholarships from the head of the regional military administration and the head of the regional council in the amount of UAH 1 840 per month were awarded to 22 well-known educators of Prykarpattia.

Lviv oblast

161 people have arrived in Lviv from the areas of active hostilities by two evacuation trains. 747 people left for Przemysl.

The Lviv RMA, the Hotel Holding of Poland and the Association of Hotels and Resorts of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

A meeting with representatives of the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) took place in the Lviv RMA. The meeting discussed financing of agriculture, fisheries and forestry, as well as grain storage.

Representatives of the Lviv City Council met with the co-founder of the Hiero City company Sasha Lehner, who intends to organize a charity concert and the UNBROKEN exhibition in Germany. The guest also promised to help with the provision of the hospital of the First Medical Association in Lviv.

As part of the 1000 Freedom Cars initiative, the Sambir RMA, thanks to the help of volunteers from Estonia United Delivery Mission, handed over 5 cars for the military in the war zone. All vehicles are equipped with diesel fuel tanks, camouflage nets and diesel fuel canisters.

Supported by the Government of Poland and the State Agency of Strategic Reserves of the Republic of Poland, the Hotel Holding of Poland transferred over UAH 12 million in humanitarian aid to Lviv oblast. It is about 1 500 beds, 3K sets of bed linen and other things necessary for IDPs.

Thanks to the held festivals, the Lviv Philharmonic raised over UAH 50K for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Yurii Napora, a talented boy from Lviv, organized a charity solo concert in the center of Mostysk in support of defenders of Ukraine. For over 5 hours of singing, the young benefactor collected over UAH 23K. The boy donated all the funds to local volunteers to help the military.

A volleyball tournament and a charity fair took place in the Chervonohrad district. At the event, it was possible to collect over UAH 20K, which will be donated to support the Armed Forces.

Rivne oblast

A meeting with heads of districts and communities of the region was held in the Rivne RMA. The meeting discussed the issues of readiness for the academic year and the heating season. Head of RMA, Vitalii Koval, says that over 60% of social infrastructure, housing and communal services facilities are ready for winter.

1 554 helmets were purchased from the regional budget with co-financing from 57 communities of the region for the Territorial defense of Rivne oblast. After enhancing powers of the RMA, the financing of the defense industry of the oblast grew by 300%. Over UAH 41 million has been allocated from the regional budget to provide military personnel with equipment.

The Luhansk Regional Clinical Oncology Dispensary moved to Rivne oblast over a month ago. Today, it functions partly on the basis of the Sarnensky Central District Hospital. Specialists of the dispensary have already performed dozens of surgical interventions and continue to provide chemotherapy treatment to patients.

Residents of the Buhryna community bought a car for the Armed Forces. The vehicle was loaded with food and necessary things and sent to our soldiers on the front line.

Ternopil oblast

As of August, 27 582 internally displaced persons remained in the Ternopil community on a permanent basis, 4,560 of them are minors.

Ternopil libraries have initiated the collection of books for wounded military personnel undergoing treatment.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The regional representative office of the World Health Organization handed over two ventilators to Khmelnytskyi. This equipment has already been delivered to Shepetivska and Kamianets-Podilska hospitals.

The staff of the public relations and mass media department of the Khmelnytskyi NPP initiated a flash mob in support of Ukrainian defenders “Share coffee with the Armed Forces!”. The participants of the flash mob are offered to give up a few cups of coffee and donate the saved funds to the needs of the Ukrainian military.

In his Telegram channel, Head of the Khmelnytskyi RMA, Serhii Hamalii, initiates a survey on starting off-line training in Khmelnytskyi. About 4K channel subscribers have expressed their opinion. So far, the majority is strictly against children studying face-to-face.

A charity fair and sale was organized by the residents of building #19 on Shevchenka Street in Horodok. Over UAH 6K were transferred to their compatriot Roman Hrihorian, who lost an arm and a leg in the war.

A public laundry will be opened in Khmelnytskyi City Bath No. 1. They will arrange it according to the American model. IDPs will be able to use it for free, for the rest of the customers, the services will be paid.

Chernivtsi oblast

The Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development, Diya.Business and the patent and legal company Atilog will hold a series of free webinars for Bukovyna entrepreneurs.

At the Chernivtsi polyclinic, displaced persons can receive free psychological and social assistance.

 

International support

The Pentagon confirmed the transfer of high-speed anti-radar missiles of the AGM-88 type (HARM) to Ukraine.

The US will provide Ukraine with $1 billion in military aid. The new package includes grenade launchers, explosives, mortar systems, ammunition, medical vehicles, medical equipment, etc.

The US will provide Ukraine with an additional $4.5 billion in aid. These funds should help the Ukrainian government provide social and financial assistance to the population, children with disabilities and millions of internally displaced persons.

A conference of Northern European allies will be held in Copenhagen on August 11, at which new military aid to Ukraine will be discussed.

The Minister of Defense of Moldova, Anatoly Nosatiy, states that Moldova is ready to send its sappers to Ukraine for demining.

The US calls on the russian federation to stop all military actions on and near Ukraine’s nuclear facilities and hand over full control over them to Ukraine.

The Minister of Education and Science of Poland, Przemysław Czarnek, announces that from September 1, Polish schools will be ready to accept from 200 K to 300 K Ukrainian children. In total there are about 800K school-age children from Ukraine in the country, of which about 500K-600K will study remotely in their native schools. The rest will go to educational institutions in Polish cities and villages.

Estonian Prime Minister Kaya Kallas called on EU countries to stop issuing entry visas to russian tourists.

France banned russians from visiting Vincennes Castle. The archives of the French Ministry of Defense are located in the castle on the outskirts of Paris.
