Towards Kharkiv, the enemy fired from tanks, barrel and rocket artillery in the areas of Cherkaski Tyshky, Duvanka, Dementiivka, Korobochkine, Lisne, Molodova, Mospanove, Mykhailivka, Petrivka, Peremoha, Prudianka, Pryshyb, Pytomnyk, Ruska Lozova, Ruski Tyshky, Rubizhne, Stara Hnylytsia, Stary Saltiv, Svitlychne, Ukrainka, Verkhniy Saltiv, Velyka Babka and Zolochiv,. The Russian invaders conducted assault operations in the area of Berestove and towards Vladimyrivka – Yakovlivka, Pokrovske – Bakhmut, Vladimyrivka – Soledar, Vidrodzhennia – Kodema, Vidrodzhennia – Zaitsevo, Semyhiria – Kodema and Dolomitne – Semyhiria. All enemy attempts to storm were thwarted by our defenders.
Towards Avdiivka, the enemy fired Avdiivka, Kamenka, Krasnohorivka, Netailove, Niu York, and Pisky form tanks and artillery .

On August 2, the launch of eight X-101 (X-555) missiles by the occupiers cost almost $100 million. According to estimates of Forbes Ukraine, the cost of the X-101 rocket is $13 million, Kalibr – $6.5 million, Iskander – $3 million, Oniks – $1.25 million, X-22 – $1 million, “Tochka-U” – $0.3 million. Thus, in just one day, the russian army fired 8 cruise missiles that cost $91 million, 7 of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defense.
Since the beginning of the relocation program, 692 companies have moved to a new location, 484 of which have resumed their work. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy. Almost 25% of companies move from the regions of active hostilities to Lviv oblast. Business is also moving to Zakarpattia (16%), Chernivtsi (11%), Ternopil (8%), Dnipropetrovsk (7%) and Ivano-Frankivsk (7%) oblasts.
In Ukraine, due to the russian invasion, 450 cultural heritage sites were destroyed. 14 of them were totally destroyed, as stated by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy. The occupiers damaged and destroyed 23 monuments of national importance, 105 monuments of local importance, 108 objects of valuable historical development. Most often, russians shelled theaters, houses of culture and libraries – 111 buildings were damaged. The occupiers also destroyed 48 memorial monuments and 34 museums and reserves.
Eastern regions
Kharkiv oblast
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that Ukrainian troops thwart russian troops’ attempt to advance towards Dementiivka and Kochubeivka villages, which are close to the border with russia. The invaders launched airstrikes targeting Cherkaski Tyshky, Korobochkyne, Lisne, Molodova, Mospanove, Prudianka, Pryshyb, Pytomnyk, Rubizhne, Ruska Lozova, Ruski Tyshky, Staryy Saltiv, Velyka Babka, Verkhniy Saltiv and Zolochiv.
The invaders shelled the Kholodna Hora district, Kharkiv. No casualties are reported. Preliminarily, the invaders used S-300 missiles.
Ihor Tieriekhov, Kharkiv’s Mayor, reports that the second shelling partially destroyed a factory in the Nova Bavariia district. The missile hit one of the workshops. There were no casualties.
Chuhuiv”s Mayor, Halyna Minaieva, informs that as a result of another shelling from Uragan MRLs, the storage premises of an educational institution were damaged and a fire broke out. As a result of a hit to a residential five-storey building, one person was killed and two more injured.
A private house was on fire in the Zolochiv community. Rescuers extinguished the fire.
According to the Derhachi city council, the invaders shelled the settlement with artillery. There were some casualties.
According to the regional prosecutor’s office, residents of the temporarily occupied Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv oblast, are being forcibly moved to tent camps in Belgorod oblast in russia.
Donetsk oblast
The invaders shelled eight settlements in Donetsk oblast overnight. Avdiivka was hit 11 times. Four people were killed in Krasnohorivka and seven more residents of the region were injured.
In Mariupol, the occupation authorities began dismantling a memorial to fallen Mariupol residents who defended Ukraine. Instead, the enemy plans to erect a monument to Oleksandr Nevsky. The invaders are also cutting down trees to prepare firewood for the winter.
Only one out of three thermal power plants work in the region. Also, the sowing volume was almost reduced by half.
Luhansk oblast
The invaders are unable to pass the Ukrainian defense fortifications, so they are using aviation more and more frequently. Just in the past 24 hours, enemy air strikes were carried out near eight settlements at the administrative border of Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts .
Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Hayday, states that Ukrainian troops repelled nine invaders’ attacks.
In the occupied Sievierodonetsk, apartment buildings, damaged by shelling, began to collapse.
Free evacuation of residents of the region continues. It is carried out by the Pokrovsk-Lviv train.
Northern regions
Kyiv oblast
About 70% of Kyiv residents chose an in-person educational form for their children. The Kyiv City State Administration said that other parents will be able to arrange for online or individual forms of schooling. Almost 20% of Kyiv students will be abroad, but at the same time more than 2,000 displaced children have already been enrolled in the capital’s educational institutions
Reconstruction and improvement works continue in Irpin. Mayor of Irpen Oleksander Markushin says that it is planned, in particular, to build five new bomb shelters in different neighborhoods, each of them able to accommodate up to 50 people. Also this week, a modular town for 88 families will be opened in the territory of “Dubky” resort. Meanwhile, the Caritas-Kyiv charitable foundation will provide UAH 1 million to repair housing for 37 low-income families in Irpin.
In the past 24 hours, EOD specialists found and disposed of 526 explosive objects in Kyiv oblast. According to the State Emergency Service, 15 hectares of territory were inspected, including fields, dirt roads, water bodies, and former positions of the russian military near populated areas. During the entire period, a total of 57,850 explosive objects were found and cleared in Kyiv oblast.
Until the end of summer, the exhibition “Retractable. Stories of Heroes” will be opened in Natalka Park in Kyiv. It is dedicated to the stories of present-day heroes – medics, military, volunteers, rescuers, law enforcement officers, all of whom are defending our country.
Zhytomyr oblast
The capsule for construction of a kindergarten was placed in Ovruch. This is the first of 15 infrastructure facilities to be built with the help of the Estonian government as part of the Fast recovery programme.
A meeting was held in the Zhytomyr RMA with Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Vira Rohova, and heads of territorial communities of Zhytomyr oblast. They were discussing renovation of educational institutions damaged as a result of russian aggression, as well as improvement of shelters. About 70% of schools in the oblast have the required shelters.
One of Zhytomyr’s educational institutions, Lyceum 25, was completely destroyed by aerial bombardment. The proceedings in the International Criminal Court in the Hague have been initiated in this regard. The court must establish whether this qualifies as a war crime.
Sumy oblast
The occupiers shelled Khotyn, Yunakivka, Esman and Seredina-Buda communities from the territory of the russian federation. The SBGS reports that there are no losses and destruction due the shelling. The enemy conducts aerial reconnaissance in the border areas. The operation of enemy radio-electronic warfare devices was observed.
The operational-tactical group “Sumy” reported that residential buildings were damaged due to the shelling of the Krasnopillia community. A railway station, an elevator and the center of Krasnopillia came under enemy fire.
The Sumy RMA reported that in cooperation with the Good Wns charitable foundation, anti-tank hedgehogs were manufactured and handed over to the positions of the Ukrainian military. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, enterprises of the region have produced more than half a thousand anti-tank hedgehogs.
As part of the Book Chain project, collection of children’s literature and school books for Ukrainian children who left for Poland continues. Representatives of the Polish Red Cross will deliver the books to the Polish cities of Radom and Warsawa. During the first stage of the campaign, it was possible to collect about 900 books for children of various ages.
Chernihiv oblast
The State Border Service reported that occupiers continue to shell the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts from the territory of the russian federation. The Semenivka and Snovsk communities of Chernihiv oblast came under enemy fire.
In the border areas, the enemy conducts aerial reconnaissance. Operation of enemy radio-electronic warfare devices has been observed.
Many male volunteers who are over 50 years old apply to the military commissariats of Chernihiv oblast. This was reported in the regional recruitment and social support center. Despite their age, family circumstances, and health, they all aspire to join the ranks of the Armed Forces and protect the state from the enemy.
The Road Service reported that traffic between Chernihiv and Kyiv will be carried out on the road Kyiv – Vyshhorod – Desna – Chernihiv. The work of the temporary crossing on the Desna will be suspended due to the need to eliminate the consequences of hostilities and clean up the damaged structures.
The head of the Sumy RMA, Dmytro Zhivytskyi, visited the Sosnytsia community on a working trip, where he checked the state of educational institutions before the school year, safety and availability of shelters. According to him, the shelters need further arrangement, improvement of ventilation and lighting. Most of the small rural schools of the community do not have the simplest shelter.
The Chernihiv RMA reported that more than 300K tons of grain and almost 60K tons of rapeseed were threshed in Chernihiv oblast. This year, the gross harvest of grain is expected at the level of 4.1 million tons. Due to the temporary occupation of the oblast and the need to demine large areas, it was not possible to sow the planned number of fields.
Central regions
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
At night, the Russian army fired on Zelenodolsk and Apostolove communities of the Kryvyi Rih district. In Apostolove, there are no victims or destruction. In Zelenodolsk, they hit the village of Velyka Kostromka. A kindergarten and a church were damaged there as well as a power line. A village was without electricity. On the territory of the district, pyrotechnics neutralized 11 cluster elements of the Uragan SAM.
The enemy fired on Kryvyi Rih district twice. The Zelenodolsk community was shelled with cluster munition from the Urahans. A 70-year-old woman was killed and a 73-year-old man was injured.
Several dozen private houses were damaged in Maryanske and Velika Kostromka. Pyrotechnicians are examining the scenes of shelling, as there may be dangerous debris of russian shells. This was reported by Head of the Dnipropetrovsk RMA Valentyn Reznichenko.
Dnipro handed over two Kazhan E620 attack drones to the military, purchased with donations from the TAPS fund. Earlier, the Dnipro City Hall also bought two such drones. The operators of Kazhans have undergone appropriate training in order to use the potential of drones to the maximum.
Vinnytsia oblast
15 displaced persons from Donetsk region arrived in Vinnytsia by an evacuation train. People were accommodated in a regional boarding house. According to its head Serhiy Yakubovskyi, more than a hundred internally displaced persons have already been accepted here since the beginning of the russian full-scale invasion.
About 70 children from the health center “I-Mariupol. Family” actively spent time in the children’s entertainment center “The Land of Dreams”.
Vinnytsia rescuers performed demonstration performances for the internally displaced children from Mariupol. Several locations were organized, where they talked about behavior on water, during a fire, and in case of discovering a suspicious object. The children also had an opportunity to try on a lifeguard uniform.
In Vinnytsia, the international French organization ACTED is paying monetary aid to those who were injured during the russian missile attack on July 14 and their families.
Despite recommendations published earlier, public transport in Vinnytsia will not stop during the air alert. After all, the Vinnytsia Transport Company has not received an official request.
700 students of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University study offline. These are the students of the second course of all majors. The decision on full-time study was made by the institution’s administration. The recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine were taken into account.
Kirovohrad oblast
In Kropyvnytskyi, a public survey was held on whether the local coat of arms and flag should be changed due to the presence on them of a plan of a fortress with Elizabeth`s monogram. This was announced by Head of the regional branch of the Ukrainian Heraldic Society Oleksandr Chornyi.
Poltava oblast
Poltava oblast will have its own wartime postage stamp – “Hadiatske Safari”. “Ukrposhta” started a competition for the best sketch.
For the needs of the military, volunteers sell rare stamps with Poltava dumplings. Participants transfer all funds received to the purchase of two quadcopters for the military from Poltava region.
The Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko visited Poltava oblast to discuss further de-russification of the city.
Cherkasy oblast
A rally “If you can kill prisoners, is everything possible?” was held in Cherkasy in support of the military of the Azov regiment.
Food kits, hygiene products and sweets for children were distributed among displaced people in the village of Matusiv. Assistance was provided by an Ukrainian-American charitable foundation.
Southern regions
Zaporizhzhia oblast
The situation towards Zaporizhzhia has not changed significantly. The enemy concentrates its main efforts on holding the occupied positions.
The occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the area of Stepnohirsk and Yuliivka of Zaporizhzhia district.
The police received 4 reports of destruction of civilian infrastructure as a result of shelling by the Russian occupation forces.
During the day, a total of 1,253 people, including 341 children, were evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory.
The Security Service of Ukraine announced a suspicion of a member of the Melitopol City Council, who joined the occupying the so-called Melitopol City Administration. He faces up to 10 years in prison. Also, the Security Service of Ukraine announced a suspicion of traitors who cooperated with the occupiers and agreed to become heads of the Berdiansk Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to Mayor of Enerhodar Dmytro Orlov, the explosions that occurred at night in the industrial and recreational zones of the city were a provocation by the occupiers. The occupiers launched missiles from neighboring villages in order to accuse the Armed Forces of shelling the city. Currently, there is no information about the victims of enemy provocations.
The International Atomic Energy Agency recognized that the Zaporizhzhia NPP, seized by the russian military, “got out of their control.” Communication with ZNPP employees is currently unstable.
An action-performance was held in support of the captured defenders of Azovstal in Zaporizhzhia. The purpose of the action is to draw attention of the international community to the situation with Ukrainian prisoners of war. The participants created an installation that reproduces the events of July 29 in Olenivka.
Mykolaiv oblast
The enemy attacked Mykolayiv three times during the night: twice with the Smerch rocket multi launcher, and before dawn – with S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. As a result of the shelling, fires broke out in the garage cooperative. A supermarket was destroyed and high-rise buildings, a pharmacy, shops, a road surface, and the territory of an equestrian school were damaged. There is no information about the victims.
In the morning, there were explosions in the village of Halytsynove of the Halytsynove community. A man was injured by a fragment from a cluster munition.
Mykolaiv was shelled in the evening. A fire broke out in one of the districts of the city. In addition, the wharf, an industrial enterprise and some residential buildings were damaged. The enemy also fired at the auto garage cooperative with Smerch multiple rocket launchers. Detailed information about the destruction and victims is being clarified.
The enemy hit Ochakiv in Mykolaiv oblast with heavy barrel artillery. The substation was hit, part of the city was left without electricity. People were not injured.
Six fires broke out on the territory of Mykolaiv oblast due to the enemy shelling. This is reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv oblast. Fires occurred in Mykolaiv city, Mykolaiv, Bashtanka and Ingulske districts.
As of August 3, 131 civilians, including one child, were killed in Mykolaiv as result of shelling by russian troops. 758 million hryvnias of damage was caused to the city’s infrastructure. Mayor Oleksandr Sienkovych told about it. As a result of the strikes on the city, 590 people, including seven children, were seriously injured.
Odesa oblast
The first ship with Ukrainian food, the Razoni arrived in Istanbul from Odesa. According to the Ministry of Defense of Turkey, an inspection group consisting of representatives of Ukraine, the United Nations, Turkey and russia conducted an inspection of the vessel. The ship is ready to go to its destination.
In the Black Sea 13 enemy vessels maneuvering near the southwestern coast of the Crimean peninsula, two Kalibr surface-to-surface missile carriers and three large amphibious ships are on standby.
A floating crane was blown up by an unknown device at the entrance to the Black Sea from the Bystre mouth of the Danube River. This was reported in the South Operational Command. The damage is not critical, there are no injuries. The crane was returned to the main basing point. It was supposed to raise the pilot boat “Orlyk”, which blew up on July 31 in the Bystre mouth after hitting a mine.
The officers of the Maritime Guard revealed the scheme of illegal export of Ukrainian grain by russian and Syrian vessels. The vessels Matros Koshka, Matros Pozynych and Mikhail Nenashev under the flag of the russian federation, as well as Finikia under the flag of Syria, were used to transport stolen Ukrainian grain through the closed ports of TOT in Crimea. The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office has started criminal proceedings.
Employees of the Security Service exposed and detained members of the FSB russian interregional agent network, who provided the enemy with information about military and strategic objects throughout Ukraine. Its manager turned out to be a resident of Odesa. He created an extensive agent-informant network to fulfill the tasks of the russian special service.
Kherson oblast
In the Southern Buh region, the russian military shelled the areas of Mykolaiv, Prybuzke, Zoria, Luch, Posad-Pokrovske, Lymany, Lupareve, Partyzanske, Kobzartsi, Nova Zorya, Andriivka, Bila Krynytsia, Chervyn Yar, Lepetykha, Halitsynove, Liubomyrivka and Chervona Dolyna.
The enemy hit Orlove and Velyka Kostromka in Kherson oblast with heavy barrel artillery. A kindergarten and a church were affected in Kostroma, a power line was damaged.
According to the South Operational Command, the russian military is creating a strike group towards Kryvyi Rih. Preparations for a counteroffensive for a further exit to the administrative border of Kherson oblast are also quite likely.
Ukrainian aviation launched three strikes on strongholds and one on the cluster of weapons and equipment in Beryslav and Bashtanka districts.
Missile and artillery units launched a fire attack on Chornobayivka, where the base of the occupying forces is located.
So far, the confirmed losses of the enemy are 20 soldiers, 2 T-72 tanks, howitzer “Msta-B”, 4 more units of automobile and armored vehicles. The final losses of the enemy are being investigated.
Four thousand business entities in the temporarily occupied southern territories were “tax registered” in fake “administrations”. This is 2% of the number of registered entrepreneurs who worked before the start of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine. This is reported by the Center for Journalistic Investigations.
The occupiers seized the enterprise of a large manufacturer of construction materials in Kherson. This was reported by the police of Kherson oblast. A total of 13 criminal proceedings were opened over the past day on the facts of war crimes committed by the russian army on the territory of Kherson oblast.
The Security Service of Ukraine in Kherson oblast informed Viktor Skoblikov, director of the Kherson City Waterworks, about suspicion of treason. He carried out the assignment of the russian special services, provided equipment for arranging defensive positions of the russian troops around Kherson.

Volyn
The RMA reported that the shelter will be repaired in the neonatal center in Lutsk. Over UAH 1 million was allocated for this.
25 children from Ukrainian defenders’ families have returned from a trip to the Republic of Lithuania.
Zakarpattia oblast
In the city of Miskolc, Head of the Zakarpattia Regional Council, Volodymyr Chubirko, and Head of the General Assembly of the Borsod-Abauy-Zemplen region (Hungary), Dr. Gal Boglarka, Banne, signed the Program for Development of Cooperation for the Next 2 Years. The parties agreed to continue cooperation in the field of education, tourism and environmental protection.
The leader of Zakarpattia visited the Serednya community, which initiated supporting the IDP accommodation project.

In Zakarpattia, SSU employees and border guards seized two unmanned aerial vehicles, a launcher, 2 Mitsubishi Pajero and Mercedes Vito vehicles from two citizens of Ukraine. Everything seized will be handed over to the Armed Forces.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
A UN office will be opened in Kolomyia to help displaced people. As a reminder, Ivano-Frankivsk will receive 2.2 million euros from the EU for the reconstruction of dormitories for displaced persons.
Lviv oblast
285 people arrived in Lviv by two evacuation trains from the places of war. 795 people went to Przemyśl from Lviv Oblast by four trains.
6 adult patients from Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts arrived in Lviv oblast by an evacuation train for treatment. The health care department of the Lviv oblast reports that the condition of the people is moderate to severe.
During the air alarm sirens, two explosions occurred on the territory of the military facility in the Chervonohrad district. There are no casualties reported.
The First Medical Association of Lviv donated a modern ambulance to the needs of the National Guard in Hostomel. It is fully equipped with necessary equipment and medicines.
From Lviv oblast, under the “1K cars of freedom” program, 5 cars were handed over to the military. The cars were purchased with funds of caring people, including Lvivoblenergo and Nerdysoft. The Lviv OVA reports that all cars are equipped with bulletproof vests, first-aid and food kits.

The People’s House in Veliki Hrybovychy is being converted into a shelter for military families.
Servicemen of the 103rd separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Lviv oblast received honorary awards from Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny.

Rivne oblast
Representatives of the Rivne RMA met with representatives of the Lviv office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. During the meeting, they discussed the possibility of using modular buildings as a possible alternative to resettling people from educational institutions in order to free them for the educational process.
In Rivne, volunteers make buggies based on four-wheel drive Japanese off-road vehicles for military needs. The initiator of the project is Andrii Druzenko.
A modular house was handed over to military personnel in Rivne oblast at a checkpoint from a company relocated from Kharkiv.
Over UAH 140K was collected by the residents of Zdolbuniv at the “Strength in Unity” charity fair. The funds will be sent to the Armed Forces.
Over UAH 50K were collected during a charity event in the village of Syniv of the Hoshchan community. They will be directed to support fellow villagers who are defending Ukraine at the front.
In Sarny, female volunteers sew ammunition for the military. During the summer alone, they produced almost 2K tactical summaries for grenades and stores for Kalashnikov assault rifles.
Ternopil oblast
In Ternopil, people took part in the “Save the Heroes of Azovstal” campaign, calling on international organizations to protect the captured Heroes of Mariupol.
In connection with the war, 54 enterprises have been relocated to Ternopil oblast, 4 more are currently moving their production facilities.
Thanks to the assistance of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Croatia, Vasyl Kyrylych, 29 children of Ternopil military personnel who are in the combat zone and children of fallen Heroes went to the Republic of Croatia for rest and recovery.
Employees of the Mariupol Technical College moved to Ternopil and have already resumed work.
Residents of Chortkiv district sent 4 cars and various military equipment to the front line.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Every week, Podillia volunteers send parcels to the front lines, which are collected by local residents.
Chernivtsi oblast
The “Resistant Ukraine” program was presented in Chernivtsi. According to this program, representatives of the community and the state will learn to quickly adapt to changes in the security environment, as well as minimize their vulnerability. It was presented, in particular, by Member of Parliament of Estonia Mati Raidma, Head of the Department of Social Security and Health Care of Tallinn Kaisa Juprus-Tali and Executive Director of the International Defense and Security Center (ISDC) Dmytro Teperik.
Benefactors from the Hertsaiv community purchased an ambulance for the Armed Forces.
In Bukovina, 325 migrants found work with the assistance of the employment service.
International support
The UN and Canada will allocate $40 million to Ukraine to store an additional 2.4 million tons of grain.
Over 370K Ukrainians have been employed in Poland under the simplified procedure. There are currently approximately 3.5 million Ukrainian citizens in this country, half of whom arrived after the russian federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
Canada expanded the list of sanctions against russia, adding 43 military officials and 17 organizations involved in the war. Canada is also consulting on further expansion of sanctions.
The Federal Council of Switzerland announced that the country adopted the seventh package of sanctions against Russia, including an embargo on gold and its products.
The US introduced new sanctions against russia. 13 natural persons, over 30 legal entities, as well as two vessels were restricted.
In the new aid package, Ukraine will receive about 3K missiles for the HIMARS and MLRS systems from the US.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain Vadym Prystaiko reports that Great Britain is ready to send two special warships for demining to Ukraine. Ukrainian crews are already undergoing training supervised by American colleagues.
On September 1, an educational and rehabilitation center will open in Krakow, where a school for children with disabilities will be created. It will be a space for training students from Poland and Ukraine.
